12 Best Hotels near Place de la Concorde

Finding the right base for a trip to Paris can shape your entire experience, and few locations offer the same immediate sense of arrival as Place de la Concorde. Situated at the eastern end of the Champs-Élysées, this vast octagonal square is more than just a traffic hub; it is a historical cornerstone connecting the Tuileries Garden, the Louvre, and the Seine. Choosing accommodation here places you in the beating heart of the city, where the gold-tipped obelisk and the splashing fountains serve as your daily compass.

Staying near this iconic square is a masterclass in convenience, particularly for first-time visitors eager to maximize their itinerary. You are literally steps away from the opulent boutiques of Rue Saint-Honoré and the cultural treasures of the Right Bank. Whether you are in town for business, a romantic getaway, or a deep dive into French history, the area offers a seamless blend of prestige and accessibility that is hard to match in other arrondissements.

The hotel landscape around Place de la Concorde is dominated by the concept of the "Palace" distinction, a French rating reserved for only the most exceptional properties. Here, hospitality is treated as an art form, often housed within 18th-century Haussmannian buildings that have hosted royalty, diplomats, and celebrities. However, this neighborhood is not exclusively for the ultra-wealthy; hidden among the grand facades are boutique gems and stylish retreats that offer comfort without the staggering price tag.

When selecting a hotel in this district, proximity to the Métro lines 1, 8, and 12 is a crucial factor. These lines allow you to cross the river to the Musée d’Orsay or head north to Opéra Garnier within minutes. Additionally, many hotels in this area boast "Eiffel Tower views" or "garden views" overlooking the Tuileries, turning a simple morning coffee into a panoramic Parisian postcard.

The dining and service standards in this pocket of the 8th arrondissement are exceptionally high. You will find that many hotels here house Michelin-starred restaurants, hidden cocktail bars, and world-class spas. After a long day navigating the cobblestones, returning to a hotel near the Concorde means you are wrapping up your day in an environment defined by luxury, security, and architectural grandeur.

Because the square is a major crossroads, it is also worth considering the specific side of the Place de la Concorde you wish to stay on. The western side leads you toward the buzz of the Champs-Élysées, while the northern side offers quicker access to the Madeleine and the luxury food emporiums. The southern side, bordering the Seine, often provides the quietest nights and the most romantic, water-view strolls.

To help you navigate the finest options in this prestigious district, we have curated a list of the best stays that cater to a variety of tastes, from opulent historic palaces to refined contemporary hideaways. Whether you prioritize a rooftop terrace, a spa, or a Michelin-starred dining room, these properties represent the pinnacle of Parisian hospitality.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, combining timeless elegance with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. What stood out most, however, was the outstanding team. Every team member we encountered was professional, attentive, and genuinely committed to creating memorable experiences for their guests. The overall Rosewood experience exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly well cared for, and the attention to detail throughout the property was remarkable. A special mention goes to the restaurant team. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner in a stunning setting, supported by friendly and knowledgeable service. The bar is equally impressive and has every reason to be one of the city's most sought-after venues. Luxury hotels are often defined by their people, and this team truly delivers. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and look forward to returning in the future.

Aug 2026- Recently stayed at Hotel de Crillon - Rosewood... Absolutely fabulous. The location is in the heart of the city with easy access to anything you would want to see in Paris. The rooms are fantastic, comfortable traditional French design. The Service ... 5 stars are not enough... Hotel de Crillon service is above and beyond any hotel that I have stayed throughout the world. When you stay at a Rosewood property, you generally expect the best service. When you stay at Hotel de Crillon they exceed any service expectations you may have. I was referred to by name each time I came in contact with staff. They notice the little things. From moving our evening slippers to the side of the bathrooms that we each preferred. Always having extra candy in the jars for our treats. Extra waters. It had been 26 years since I had stayed at Hotel de Crillon. I wanted this to be a special trip and Hotel de Crillon exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you for an amazing stay and we hope to be back very soon.

Wonderful experience! Hotel decor is outstanding in every bit. Staff is very Kind and Attentive. Special Thanks to Mr. Pierre, Bar manager. His drinks knowledge, skills and kindness made our experience great. Also Mr Daniel at the Check in was very professional and kind, ensured seamless check in. Every person goes above and beyond. That's truly what Luxury hospitality is.

Place de la Concorde. One of the most famous addresses in the world and Hotel de Crillon has anchored it since 1758. You walk through those doors and 250 years of history hits you marble crystal gold leaf and a renovation by Rosewood that kept every ounce of the bones while making everything feel current and alive. The Karl Lagerfeld suites are a design statement. The spa is refined and unhurried. The courtyard is a pocket of silence in the middle of Paris that feels impossible until you are sitting in it. I had drinks at Les Ambassadeurs bar and watched Paris light up through floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto the Concorde and beyond. The bartender made an old fashioned that would hold its own in any cocktail bar in the world and did it with the kind of effortless French elegance that you cannot manufacture you either have it or you do not. Crillon has it. The dining is Michelin-level without the stiffness. The service throughout the hotel is that rare combination of formal and genuinely caring. They want your stay to be extraordinary and they have the skills to deliver it. There is luxury everywhere in Paris the Ritz the Bristol the George V. I have been to most of them. Crillon stands apart because it feels like the city itself condensed into one building. The history the beauty the confidence the standard. Different league entirely. Paris is always a good idea. Crillon is the best one.

Our stay at Hôtel de Crillon was truly unforgettable. I’ve visited Paris more than ten times, but this was my first time experiencing this beautiful hotel and it made me fall in love with the city all over again. We originally planned to stay for only two nights, but ended up extending our stay because we simply fell in love with the hotel, the atmosphere, and the exceptional service. A very special thank you to the wonderful butler Maryam and the amazing concierge team for all their help in organizing our trip and for their outstanding restaurant recommendations. Their attention to detail and genuine care made our stay feel incredibly special and effortless. Paris is always beautiful, but with Hôtel de Crillon, it felt even more magical.

We had an amazing experience at this hotel. We arrived at the hotel early in the morning after a long flight and the staff offered us tea and coffee, and they were so kind enough to even give us a room several hours before our check in time. The staff were incredibly kind and warm and welcoming. We have never experienced this kind of hospitality before! The location was absolutely perfect we were able to walk to basically everywhere we wanted to go and the rooms were very cozy and nice. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Paris. And again we cannot highlight enough how incredibly kind and welcoming the staff are! They truly made our trip even better and we would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much!

A great little hotel in a wonderful location in Paris. Room was nice and more spacious than I thought. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nicely air conditioned. Minor issues were that you could easily hear people in the hallways (and they can hear you too) so we felt we had to be more quiet than we wanted to be. Also, the toilet seat was broken and kept sliding which made it annoying to use. However, the location was fantastic and right near a metro, and the staff were very kind and friendly. Highly recommended!

Amazing stay — it was one of the cheapest hotels, yet we had excellent customer service and all went as expected. They even offer baggage hold and will give you advice on the area. The breakfast was great too. Highly recommend and will stay here again if I’m back.

My friend and I stayed at Hotel La Sanguine during our short trip to Paris, and it was a wonderful experience. When my friend made the reservation, she mentioned that it was my birthday, and the hotel kindly surprised us with balloons and macarons in the room, it was such a thoughtful gesture. I’m also very grateful to the lady at the lobby who helped us a lot, especially when my friend got sick during our trip. She was so kind and sweet.

My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The room was dirty upon check-in, and the level of cleanliness was completely unacceptable. When I reported the issue to the receptionist immediately after entering the room, his response was rude and unprofessional. Instead of addressing my complaint, he said, “You must have used the room, so of course it got dirty.” This was an unacceptable and disrespectful way to treat a guest, especially since I had just checked in. In addition, we were not given the room type that we had originally booked. The staff were unhelpful and unwilling to resolve any issues. In fact, several other guests were also complaining about the same problems, yet the employees showed no interest in helping anyone. What made the situation even worse was that my personal belongings were moved from one room to another without my knowledge or prior consent. This is completely unacceptable and a serious violation of a guest’s privacy and trust. Overall, there was not a single positive aspect of this hotel. Poor cleanliness, rude staff, lack of professionalism, and complete disregard for guests made this one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I would never stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Had a great time at this hotel and would love to stay there again. The team has gone above and beyond to answer all of our requests. A special thank you to Didier from reception and Habiba from housekeeping!! Also a great location close to main attractions and lovely cafes, boutiques around.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a great experience with the hotel itself. I hadn't booked a room with a balcony or street view BUT did not expect to be staring at a concrete wall and filthy outdoor area plus into other peoples rooms - so some feedback for the hotel would be to make the courtyard a garden perhaps so it's something pleasant for people to look at instead of concrete! When I asked the hotel if I could upgrade rooms as I wasn't happy with the room. They sent me around in circles asking me to come back later on to speak to the manager then the following morning they asked me to come back later again to speak to a different manager anyway in the end the end they were fully booked for 3 out of the 5 nights that I was there, so I can fully appreciate they could not move me, however, they were extremely dismissive of me. I decided to leave the hotel because I hated the room so much and didn't want to stay another night. The manager was standing at reception when I went to leave and I explained that I disliked my room so much so that I've paid to go stay at another hotel and her first reaction was to let me know there would be absolutely no refund - which I didn't even ask for and Booking.com were handling on my behalf anyway. She was really rude and dismissive which was very disappointing! Very poor customer service on her part. I won't be returning which is a shame.
Dimitra Pagomenou★☆☆☆☆
Worst experience for years Firstly all the reviews in regards to not have a room available at 3pm is a fact. Not a one off case. It’s a business. No one gets their room at 3pm. If you are lucky you will get at 5pm. If you are unlucky like me, you will get your room card , they will send you to your room and the housekeeper will shout at you to go back to the reception. Then the receptionist will call someone for support and an arrogant lady will arrive who whatever you say to her she laughs. When eventually you get your room, you won’t sleep for the whole night. Unbearable noises from technical errors from higher floors will occur and when you report this to the reception, they will respond to you, that indeed you are right, more people reported this, but we cannot help you as we do not have any technician. The rooms are old and horrible btw. Just stay away from this hotel.
Raushan Kydykeeva★☆☆☆☆
I had a very disappointing experience at Hôtel Castiglione — and unfortunately, this was already my second negative stay here. I arrived at 5:00 PM, while check-in officially starts at 3:00 PM, but my room was still not ready. I was asked to wait 1.5 hours, and even at 7:00 PM the room was still not available. Each time, the staff blamed my “late reservation,” which is simply not a valid explanation for such a delay. The attitude of the staff and the manager was extremely disappointing — rude, defensive, and completely lacking empathy. I was traveling with a small child who was tired, hungry, and crying, yet no effort was made to assist or prioritize the situation. What shocked me the most was how our luggage was handled. The manager stated that the staff had “finished their work,” left our luggage near the elevator, and told us to carry it ourselves. We had to take our suitcases upstairs on our own. To make matters worse, when we finally reached the room, the key did not work. And when I finally entered the room, I was met with yet another disappointment — the bed linen looked old and not fresh, with hairs on it. These are not minor issues — this reflects a serious lack of professionalism, poor management, and complete disregard for guest experience. During my previous stay, I also experienced serious issues, including a strong sewage smell and malfunctioning air conditioning/heating, which were never properly resolved. This clearly shows a pattern of poor service. I do not recommend this hotel.

I had my birthday breakfast at Le Meurice and I had the best experience. We were seated in the beautiful breakfast salon. Service team was caring, especially lovely Melissa made the whole experience so much better with her attention to detail, generosity and kindness. She even put a birthday candle on my plate which was very thoughtful. The food was very tasty and had great quality. I will definitely will be coming back again.

My husband and I just got back from Paris and what an exquisite stay we had at Le Meurice. The service is impeccable and always with a genuine authenticity to make sure your time is of the utmost pleasurable experience. Every meal was delicious and of the highest quality. Thank you for making our 30th anniversary so memorable and always keeping you fondly in our hearts!

We stayed at this wonderful hotel again a couple of weekends ago, it is our go to hotel in Calais, and we visit on multiple occasions each year. Thierry, Melanie and all of Team Meurice always make our stay memorable, with their friendliness and exceptional standards of customer service. We stay in a superior room with shower and it is always spotlessly clean and well presented. The breakfast is very good at a fair price point, with plenty of options and choice, again always plentiful and well presented. The benefit of the optional underground paid parking is of importance to us, and there are electric charging points should you require it. The garden area at the back of the hotel is a lovely place to while away a couple of hours with a book and a drink, and the rear of hotel has recently been redecorated and looks fantastic. If you are considering a stop on the way elsewhere, a stop before returning to the UK, or just a weekend away in Calais, you should not look any further than the Meurice, you will not be disappointed. We can't recommend it highly enough. Tim and Leslie.. Nottingham

A truly unforgettable Paris experience. Le Meurice combines classic French elegance with exceptional service in one of the best locations in the city, directly across from the Tuileries Garden. Every detail feels refined, from the beautiful interiors to the attentive staff who make you feel welcome from arrival to departure. The rooms are luxurious, comfortable, and full of charm. Dining was outstanding, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel is both sophisticated and relaxing. If you're looking for a true Parisian palace experience, Le Meurice exceeds expectations. Highly recommended and absolutely deserving of five stars.

A very pleasant stay at Le Meurice. The hotel is elegant, beautifully maintained, and perfectly located. The staff were professional, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. One of the highlights was the room itself—spacious, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. The size of the room was truly impressive and made the stay even more enjoyable. I also loved the breakfast, especially the French toast, which was absolutely delicious. While the experience met rather than exceeded my expectations, everything was delivered to a high standard. Thank you to the entire team for their hospitality. I would happily stay at Le Meurice again.

We had 3 people stay in a 1 bedroom suite with 1 single bed and 1 double bed. The apartment is very clean and looks relatively newly renovated. Including very nice bathroom with standing shower. Clean and plenty pressure for shower water. The room have no ac but have ceiling fans ( new style). It was April so weather was good without AC. Location is prime.. near Lourve and central to many areas for Paris and shops. It also has small kitchen and cookwares, because my stay was only for couple days we didn’t cook. Because why would you when Paris have awesome food all around. There is no reception but can call and talk. A none problem for us. Fantastic experience!

May 31, 2026 Disliked: cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property condition I can only say that I DO NOT recommend it. There are no signs around the area. It was difficult to find, especially at first time. As soon as you enter, the lobby has a very unpleasant smell mould and urine. There's no air conditioning in the room, and the fan didn't help, so I just opened the window. Otherwise, I could get heatstroke. In the early mornings, there was roadwork going on right outside the window, accompanied by beeping and loud conversations... he bathroom sink was clogged because it filled with water within seconds of use, making it unusable. I used the kitchen sink. There were only two tea bags left...but no cups, so I drank tea from a glass. Good location not worth the price.
Justin Nadeau★☆☆☆☆
DO NOT STAY HERE. The only, slightly, redeeming quality about this 'hotel' is its location. The lobby and hallways smell like sewage, the rooms are tiny - barely enough room for two people, the sheets and towels were dirty and old (ours had blood stains), only 1 outlet functioned in our room, and the elevator has a max 200kg limit. I would strongly recommend that you look somewhere else for lodging.
Sonntag März★★★☆☆
The location is very nice. We stayed at the top floor so it wasn't that loud at night. The room is small but quite lovely. Unfortunately the bed is very small and very uncomfortable. Everything looked clean besides the shower window which is very moldy. The whole building has a very bad smell to it. Overall it is fine for a short stay but if you want to stay at the hotel some time to get some rest, I cannot recommed it at all.
Daniele Mancuso★☆☆☆☆
Attention: misleading listing regarding the beds. I booked a French bed, but there was only a single bed. The room was cold and poorly insulated. The cleaning staff made a lot of noise early in the morning and, on the last day before check-out, they knocked twice to ask whether I had paid the city tax, which I had already paid. The bathroom sink was practically clogged. I informed the property immediately but received no response. I do not recommend booking this property.

Convenient and welcoming. We checked various sources for recommendations but ended up choosing Hotel Cambon for location and hoped for the best. We were delighted throughout our two night stay. We were able to get into our rooms right away (for a modest fee) and found every staff member (especially Raoul) to be friendly, kind and down-to-earth. We spent a lot of time hanging out in the lounge area and appreciated there were many rooms where we could eat, have a beverage or relax. The guest room was very comfortable and the bathroom had plenty of room. When we ventured out, we were a short walk away from major sites, dining, and shopping. We would definitely choose to stay there again for all of these reasons.

Such a fun way for 4 people to share a room. Really friendly staff who helped with our early check in and making us feel welcome, and same with checking out and offering to hold our luggage for the day. There was also a free mini bar included and roof windows for ventilation. The location is excellent with the louvre only 10 minutes away and lots of cafes and restaurants surrounding it. All for a very reasonable price too. Would definitely recommend.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The location was extremely convenient for our itinerary. Most major attractions, including the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, and the Pantheon, were around €15 by Uber, while the Louvre and Palais Garnier were within walking distance. The atmosphere of the hotel was comfortable and relaxing. We stayed in a deluxe room, which offered enough space even though we had an extra suitcase for our pre-wedding photoshoot, including a wedding gown and evening dresses. Considering the price, the amenities were very satisfactory, including the hairdryer and WiFi. The room was also very clean, and we did not experience any noise issues during our stay. The highlight, however, was the hotel staff. They were extremely helpful, kind, and responsive throughout our stay. They were also willing to assist us via WhatsApp, which made communication much easier and removed any language barrier. This was especially valuable, as communication in French had been one of the more challenging parts of our trip. Overall, I would certainly choose this hotel again if I return.

La Réserve Paris is extraordinary. The hotel is elegant, intimate, and beautifully located, but what stood out most was the sense that every detail felt thoughtful without ever feeling forced. Pros: Excellent location, interesting, historic building, good decor, good food, mixed service a some people were good & trying hard. Cons: Twice we had to deal with really poor service from the hotel staff - in one memorable (in that I truly will never forget this) the door hostess not only denied us a dinner table upon our return to the hotel but also lied and said the library was closed for a private event & we could not have drinks there. Upon consulting with our butler over drinks in our room, we learned this was not the case. Two of these types of experiences in a 3-night stay is not acceptable at this price point. I did follow up with management via email after our stay to let them know, and received a lovely gallic 🤷‍♀️. Many good alternate hotels in Paris to choose from.

We had an absolutely magical stay at La Réserve Paris. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt special. The reception area is beautifully decorated and quietly luxurious, and the staff at check-in were warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Our room was stunning—thoughtfully designed, impeccably comfortable, and wonderfully quiet. We slept incredibly well, thanks to the peaceful location within the hotel and the soft, cozy bed and bedding. Every amenity felt top-level and carefully chosen. The bathroom was beautiful, the closet space was ample, and the bar was perfectly stocked. Service throughout our stay was outstanding without ever feeling stuffy or overdone. Every interaction felt kind, attentive, and effortless. In the morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast paired with excellent coffee—an unhurried and elegant way to start the day. This stay was truly memorable and absolutely worth the splurge. La Réserve offers luxury that feels warm, personal, and refined, and we would return without hesitation.

We came for lunch. The food was not great but any means. Lacking flavor, dry, etc. They couldn't even get the French fries right (soggy and unsalted!) The decor looked cheap, aside from the chairs (faux marble, etc) and reminded me of a Buddha Bar vibe. Many details missed, stained carpet, etc. Disappointing, since it looks so lovely online. As a hotel, it doesn't have a proper lobby, you walk directly into the restaurant. At that price, there are far better options nearby.
Jeffrey Mitchell★★★★★
La Réserve Paris is outstanding. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious, the staff are incredibly hospitable and the food on site is top notch. If you have the money I highly recommend splurging on this hotel.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I absolutely love the Sofitel Paris near the U.S. Embassy! 🇫🇷✨ One of my favorite things about this hotel is how safe, comfortable, and welcoming it feels. The atmosphere is beautiful, sophisticated, and full of French charm. I also love how artistic the hotel is. They are showcasing a new collection of art on display on the first floor, which gives the space such a unique and inspiring feel. 🎨❤️ They had dresses, and one of those dresses was worn by Lady Gaga. Perfect place for a group hangout. The ambience is simply perfect; elegant, peaceful, artistic, and distinctly Parisian. I always enjoy my time here and highly recommend it!

We stayed at the Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg from August 11–13 and had a truly wonderful experience! The hotel is perfectly located—very central, yet peaceful and quiet—just a short walk from the Élysée Palace and Paris’s finest luxury boutiques. The street is secured by police, which made us feel completely safe and comfortable at all hours. The hotel has an elegant and luxurious atmosphere, the service was excellent, and the highlight was the breakfast—the richest, most varied, and impressive breakfast I have ever seen! A fantastic hotel in an exceptional location. We would gladly return and highly recommend it!

Such a special and delightful hotel in our favorite area of Paris, right by all the best shopping! The staff at Sofitel is so friendly and helpful. We have 4 kids so we appreciate the suite w 2 bedrooms and a living area with a sofa bed. There is plenty of room for our family. The concierge has been extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations. They arranged a drive to & from the airport, and he (Red) was fantastic. We have stayed here twice and will definitely come back.
Jason Calacanis★★★★☆
Exceptional location and service, with modest rooms that are well done — but at a premium price ($1,600 for a suite that was extremely small). The buffet included with my room was impressive, showing the attention to detail the Sofitel chain is known for.

I’ll start my review with a WOW. I can’t think of a hospitality experience I have enjoyed more. This hotel is simply amazing. Nothing is perfect in this world but this hotel is as close as it gets. I guess you could discuss the cost but this is a luxury experience that we saved for and it delivered. Great staff, GREAT food, and a very comfortable room. Also the best French onion soup I have ever had and I will call myself an expert.

Having stayed here repeatedly, the Ritz Paris continues to exceed every expectation. The level of service is top-tier yet warm and welcoming, making you feel completely taken care of from the moment you arrive. The rooms are an absolute sanctuary of quiet luxury. One of my favourite moments is stepping up to the classic French balcony doors and opening them to look down over the tranquil inner garden —it captures pure Parisian magic. Beyond the room, the culinary offerings are consistently exceptional, with the signature afternoon tea in Salon Proust standing out as an extraordinary, unmissable ritual. Flawless from start to finish, every single time.

This hotel is in a great location and is beautiful. Having said that, it is not without its flaws. The service is inconsistent. We had many pleasant encounters but we also had very standoffish and unwelcoming ones as well. Three times I was asked with much judgement and distain if I was a guest at the hotel: once when we walked in to view the property (we were asked immediately to leave) and two other times after I was a guest in the hotel. The amenities were also weak. The room tv remote and phone barely worked. The spa pool was quite cold. We also noticed a lack of complimentary items that other brands like Belmond or LVMH properties include. Ultimately, for the price, I would not stay again nor recommend to other considering the many grand hotels in Paris.

Solene and the team at the Ritz Paris turned our wedding into something we'll be talking about for the rest of our lives. From the first walkthrough to our final dance, Solene's attention to detail and calm, professional guidance gave us total confidence that everything was in the best possible hands. The setting itself is unmatched, but it was Solene's warmth and expertise that made the day flow so beautifully. We felt genuinely looked after every step of the way.

Stayed again at Ritz Paris, and this was already my second stay at the hotel within the past year. This visit, however, was truly exceptional. The hotel already knows me personally, and the feeling throughout the stay was genuinely like family. That level of warmth and recognition is something very rare, even among the best luxury hotels in the world. The breakfast is absolutely outstanding, one of the best hotel breakfasts in Paris. The hotel team truly listens to its guests and always tries to go above and beyond. I mentioned that I loved the hotel caps, and the team surprised me with two complimentary hats as a gift, such a thoughtful gesture. Another thing that really impressed me was the late check-out. The hotel allowed me to keep my room until 7PM completely complimentary. That is absolutely not something to take for granted, especially at this level of hotel, and I truly appreciated it. The hotel bar during lunch is fantastic, excellent atmosphere and very good food. Honestly, everything about this hotel feels special: the spa, the pool, the service, the attention to detail. This is not just a vacation hotel, it feels like paradise. Yes, the hotel is extremely expensive, but in my opinion it is absolutely worth the money for the experience they provide.

I have been to Paris many times and I have stayed at some of the best hotel’s multiple times but this was my first time at Ritz Paris. Wow, this is my new favourite hotel. The service from the moment we arrived was on another level, the location is one of the best and central, the rooms are beautiful and very comfortable and the bars and restaurants are excellent you almost don’t need to leave the hotel. The staff overall from the doormen, concierge, check in, restaurant and bar staff everyone was so amazing, thank you, we will be going back the the Ritz Paris for sure.

We stayed here in July 2026 during the heat wave and the air conditioning was so great (note, use both controls in the room). We also appreciated having a fridge in the room for cold drinks. We booked the junior suite as we were travelling with our daughter and it was the perfect amount of separation in a hotel room. The room was clean and well stocked, the hotel was lovely and the employees were also friendly and welcome. Location is perfect as you can walk right to the main streets and attractions. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful stay at Hotel du Continent. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always available at the front desk whenever we needed assistance. The rooms were very clean and well maintained throughout our stay. The location is excellent and made it very easy to explore Paris. Overall, a great experience and we would happily stay here again

Perfect location, super nice front desk staff, very clean room - was the perfect size for one person. It stayed cool despite the heatwave, and they had a little mini fridge. Bathroom was huge with a walk in shower and well stocked. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for something that’s walkable to everywhere!

We stayed at Hotel Mayfair for our trip to Paris and enjoyed the experience. The staff went above and beyond from the moment we arrived, helping with our bags, our last-minute requests, and any information we needed. We were always met with a warm smile and genuine care. Nothing felt like too much trouble for them. The location in the 1st arrondissement is unbeatable. We were within easy walking distance of the Louvre and so many other iconic sights, with charming cafes and boutiques right outside the door. Coming back to the hotel after a day of exploring was always a relaxing treat. The room itself was comfortable, full of light and well appointed. The whole stay had a perfect mix of charm and attentive service. We'll return without hesitation and recommend Hotel Mayfair to anyone visiting Paris.

We enjoyed the most delightful stay at Hotel Mayfair in Paris. The staff was incredibly friendly, efficient and attentive. They were always available to assist and answer questions, providing helpful directions or arranging for a taxi - whatever was needed. We noted that our bedside outlets didn't seem to be working, and within minutes they had the issue diagnosed and fixed. If you enjoy staying in a place where people recognize you and give a friendly greeting each morning and evening, the rooms are updated, squeaky clean and smartly designed, and the location is super-convenient and safe - I cannot recommend this hotel more highly. Also, Sy, their resident bellman/bartender/Mr. Fix-It, is a real asset to their staff. He is a delight!

Like real estate - there are 3 things I look for in a hotel - location, location, location. This certainly fulfilled that criteria and more. I couldn't believe where I was staying. Doesn't get much better. The hotel is so cute and charming. Not my usual schtick - I prefer boutique hotels - but the balance was just right. I'd a single room and couldn't be happier. Bed and lines were super comfotable. Great bathroom and shower and ample closet space for one. Didn't hear anyone in adjoining rooms (hope they didn't hear my music). Staff were exceptional - and that was everyone! If I were to nitpick - change the water bottle daily but I am nitpicking. Super price. Didn't buy the breakfast option so can't comment on the food but I'm sure it was great. I would add this on the next time.

We had the best stay at Hotel Mayfair this week! Beautiful hotel and wonderful staff - so helpful and welcoming. The Family Room was perfect for 3 people - plenty of room. Great location across from the Jardin des Tuileries and 2 metro stops and easy walk to the Louvre. Lots of restaurants and shops close by but the hotel is on a side street and relatively quiet. We would definitely stay here again!

The hospitality of the Mayfair Hotel was fantastic. It made my first visit meaningful and made my wonderful trip to Paris even more interesting. In particular, the warm consideration and response of Mr. Shamim at the reception desk will make my stay here more memorable. And The staff who helped guide me to the room was also very kind. This hotel is in the center with easy access to Paris's famous landmarks, so it will be very helpful for your trip. I strongly recommend this hotel to you

Essential Tips for Choosing Your Stay near Place de la Concorde

Before you finalize your booking, it is important to understand the nuances of this specific neighborhood to ensure you get the best value and experience. The level of service and the age of the buildings here vary significantly, which can impact your comfort. Keep the following practical tips in mind to match the right hotel to your travel style and avoid common pitfalls.

Book a Room with a View, but Verify the Floor
Many hotels advertise views of the Eiffel Tower or the Tuileries, but the perspective can be heavily obscured by the plane trees lining the Champs-Élysées or the buildings facing the square. To avoid disappointment, request a room on a higher floor (typically the 5th floor or above). A high-floor room not only clears the tree line but also reduces the ambient traffic noise that can drift up from the square.

Leverage the Métro Connections
Place de la Concorde is a massive junction, and walking from one side of the square to your hotel can take longer than expected if you are carrying luggage. Check which Métro exit corresponds to your hotel’s exact address. If you are arriving via Line 12 (from Montparnasse or Gare du Nord), you will exit near the Tuileries, whereas Line 1 exits can leave you on the Champs-Élysées side. Knowing your exit can save you a 10-minute walk with heavy bags.

Be Aware of Event Restrictions
Because Place de la Concorde hosts major national events, such as Bastille Day parades, the Tour de France finale, and temporary sporting installations (like the recent Urban Park for the Olympics), road access can be restricted. If you are visiting in July or during a major public holiday, confirm with your hotel regarding taxi and shuttle access. Staying here during an event is spectacular, but it requires planning for road closures.

Explore the "Golden Triangle" on Foot
One of the greatest benefits of staying here is the walkability to the "Triangle d’Or" (Golden Triangle), bounded by Avenue Montaigne, Avenue George V, and the Champs-Élysées. If you are traveling for luxury shopping, skip the taxis. Staying near Concorde allows you to walk to flagship stores like Dior and Louis Vuitton in under 15 minutes, making it easy to drop off shopping bags at your hotel midday before continuing your tour.

Look for Interior Courtyard Rooms for Silence
While the energy of the square is exciting, the constant flow of buses and scooters can be a nuisance for light sleepers. The most prestigious hotels in this area are often built around interior courtyards or gardens. Requesting a room facing the "cour" (courtyard) or "jardin" (garden) will provide a nearly silent sleeping environment. You sacrifice the panoramic view but gain a level of tranquility that is rare in central Paris.

The area surrounding Place de la Concorde offers a rare opportunity to live like a local aristocrat, even if only for a few nights. The grandeur of the architecture and the convenience of the location create an immersive Parisian experience that is difficult to replicate elsewhere. Whether you are watching the lights of the Eiffel Tower flicker from your balcony or stepping out for a sunrise walk through the Tuileries before the crowds arrive, this neighborhood delivers a sense of occasion.

Ultimately, the best hotel for you will balance your budget with your desire for history and luxury. By choosing a property that aligns with your need for quiet, views, or gastronomy, you ensure that your stay in the 8th arrondissement is not just a place to sleep, but a highlight of your journey to France.
