12 French Restaurants near Place de la Concorde

Finding a truly memorable French meal in the heart of Paris often feels like navigating a maze of tourist traps and overpriced bistros. The area surrounding the Place de la Concorde, with its sweeping views of the Eiffel Tower and the Tuileries Garden, is undeniably majestic. However, stepping just a few streets away from the gilded statues and fountains reveals a vibrant culinary landscape waiting to be explored.

Whether you are looking for a historic brasserie that has served royalty or a modern neo-bistro pushing the boundaries of French gastronomy, the 1st and 8th arrondissements offer a diverse range of options. The key is knowing which cobblestone side street to turn down to find the authentic flavors that define Parisian dining. From decadent sauces to perfectly executed pastries, the neighborhood surrounding this iconic square is a haven for food lovers.

We have curated a guide to the most distinguished tables located within walking distance of the obelisk. These establishments range from Michelin-starred institutions to cozy neighborhood gems where the focus is squarely on seasonal produce and technique. You do not need to cross the Seine to find exceptional cuisine; it is all right here, nestled between the luxury boutiques and historic landmarks.

When dining in this prestigious district, reservations are not just recommended; they are often essential, particularly for dinner service. The clientele is a mix of international visitors, politicians from the nearby Assemblée Nationale, and discerning locals who have dined at these tables for decades. Dressing smartly is generally appreciated, as many of these venues maintain a classic Parisian elegance that eschews casual athletic wear.

Understanding the rhythm of French dining will enhance your experience. Lunch services often offer better value, with fixed-price menus that provide a snapshot of the chef’s talent without the premium price tag of the evening service. Dinner, conversely, is a slower, more ceremonial affair meant to be savored over several hours with a bottle of carefully selected wine.

The beauty of this specific area is its walkability. You can pair a pre-dinner stroll through the Jardin des Tuileries with a meal at a legendary hotel restaurant, or enjoy a post-meal digestif while watching the lights of the Eiffel Tower sparkle from the square. The proximity of these restaurants to the Louvre and the Rue Saint-Honoré makes them perfect for a refueling stop during a day of sightseeing.

Below is a selection of the finest French dining experiences near the Place de la Concorde, curated to satisfy a variety of palates and budgets. Whether you seek the opulence of a palace hotel or the rustic charm of a traditional bistro, this guide will point you in the right direction.

What funny experience we had today. The food was good. The omelette was really tasty along with the coffee. The elderly gentleman, who served us, was quite casual yet polite from the very beginning. We really liked that approach. We were kind of first customers and when asked he found out from the kitchen that they would prepare the omelettes. After serving us,he continued to be polite and funny, again we liked it. When I went to pay, he included the orange juice in the price that was never mentioned or served. I pointed it out and he was immediately very apologetic and offered us the juices. I thought that was funny. Then he offered us coffees and croissants. We declined the croissants but took the coffees. Overall it was an interesting experience to say the least and we will definitely go back. In another restaurant, where we paid a lot of money, I complained about the bread that was not served. But in this case I was not bothered as the service was good. And if the main dishes are as tasty as the omelettes, then it will definitely be a good try. I do recommend it.

The food was amazing. We tried duck confit and steak with fries. Both were great. Especially the duck was very good. Special thanks to our waiter, Geoffrey! He was amazing. He made sure that we were well taken care of. We will definitely come again!

Le Florentine is a wonderful surprise and a really enjoyable dining experience, even if you come in solo. The menu is described as Italian, but honestly, it feels Italian with a strong French influence — and that’s not a bad thing at all. One highlight was the baguette served at the table. Paired with duck liver pâté, it was absolutely delightful and dangerously easy to keep going back for more. Simple, elegant, and done right. The beef was cooked to absolute perfection — tender, well seasoned, and clearly handled with care. It’s the kind of dish where you can tell the kitchen knows exactly what it’s doing. Service really stood out too. The waiter was friendly, engaging, and attentive, without being intrusive. I was dining alone, and despite the place being super crowded, I never felt awkward or rushed — none of that uncomfortable single-diner vibe that sometimes happens in busy Paris restaurants. By 6 PM, the crowd was already streaming in, which says a lot about how popular this place is. The atmosphere was lively but still comfortable, making it easy to just sit back and enjoy the meal. Overall, this is a fantastic spot for well-executed food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere — whether you’re dining solo or with company.

A true Parisian experience! 🇫🇷🍷 Le Florentin has a wonderful French atmosphere with classic Parisian charm. The food was excellent, beautifully prepared, and full of authentic flavor. The wine selection paired perfectly with the meal, and the service was warm and attentive. If you’re looking for a restaurant with a genuine French vibe, delicious traditional cuisine, and a lovely ambiance in the heart of Paris, I highly recommend Le Florentin.

Dinner was great! Be sure to make a reservation for dinner in advance if you can. Otherwise, be prepared for a line if you walk up. We showed up about 20 minutes before they opened and were able to get in, but the line behind us was at least 20 people long before the restaurant (kitchen) even opened! We had the escargot, fish of the day, deviled eggs and the duck. All the food was great! Cocktails and wine were also both fantastic.

We had an excellent dinner here! The restaurant is tucked away in a charming little alley. We arrived around 7:30–8pm and there was a line for a table, but the wait was quite short and we were seated before long. The service was absolutely top-notch from start to finish. We each started with a spritz, which was a little different from the usual Aperol Spritz, but still very good and refreshing. My partner had the beef tartare and I had the beef bourguignon. It normally comes with pasta, but I asked if I could have mashed potatoes instead and they were happy to accommodate. Both dishes were excellent! For dessert, we shared the cherry clafoutis and the Paris-Brest and… just wow! Such a great way to end the meal. Excellent food, wonderful service and a beautiful setting. I highly recommend this restaurant and would absolutely return!

I had a great time with my partner when we walked-in for dinner on July 19. The terrine was delicious and the pork dish for two was so rich and comforting. For dessert the crème brûlée and saint honoree and Paris-brest were scrumptious, we cleaned our plates! Florian was an excellent server and extremely friendly and helpful to us the entire time we dined. I would definitely come back again for the great service and food.

We ordered the onion soup and the beef bourguignon. The onion soup had a smoky, fire-grilled flavor that made it absolutely delicious. It’s definitely a dish each person should try at least once. The beef bourguignon had a slight mix of pork as well. The mushrooms were well-seasoned, and the meat was tender and flavorful. The pre-meal bread was also pleasantly chewy, like it had been freshly baked in-house. I ordered a small 250 ml beer, which I really appreciated since you can adjust the portion size. Even though the line was long, the staff were very busy and efficient, and the food was prepared quickly. Overall, it’s a truly excellent restaurant. It will definitely brighten your day.

Had a lovely dinner out on the little terrace at this brasserie. It's in a very busy little laneway which adds to atmosphere. Food and drinks were delicious, well priced. Florian our waiter was the absolute best and kept everything running so smoothly!!! Thank you for a memorable dinner! Would recommend making a reservation especially on a weekend!

Great French eatery just off Lafayette. Great service, authentic French menu, reasonable prices and large portions makes this an easy recommendation. A really good choice even along a road full of cafes and restaurants. We tried a number of food choices including the steak tartar, chicken burgers and steak frites and all were fantastic. My tartare was spectacular. Not had one as good as this for a number of years and it was under €20! Incredible value. Not to be confused with the numerous tourist traps up and down this road. Try this and you will not be disappointed. Highly recommended:

An incredible little place with delicious food and a warm, friendly atmosphere. I would happily come back again! I'm not sure whether the most cheerful person we met in Paris was the waiter, the owner, the manager, or the chef—but it honestly doesn't matter. He made us laugh from the heart and enjoy every single minute we spent in the restaurant. He even saw us off in the kindest and most heartfelt way possible. Thank you for this wonderful experience! I highly recommend making a reservation in advance, as it's rare to find a free table.

This was my first time trying frog legs and foie gras, and it turned out to be a memorable experience. Both dishes were beautifully prepared and gave me a great introduction to classic French cuisine. We also had the French onion soup, which was rich, flavorful, and comforting. The beer was excellent, perfectly complementing the meal. However, the real star for me was the freshly baked hot baguette. Served warm straight from the oven, it was absolutely irresistible and ended up being my favorite part of the entire dining experience. Great food, wonderful atmosphere, and a fantastic way to discover traditional French flavors. Highly recommended!

It’s a nice restaurant with delicious food. I tried a few french dishes and everything was very very good. I totally recommend this place and I think the duck confit is a must, you will thank me later

Dining at François Felix in Paris was a true gem of an experience. Right from the start, the atmosphere enveloped us in warmth and charm, making it the perfect spot to unwind. The service was outstanding—like having friends who genuinely care about making your night special. The staff was attentive, accommodating and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed without being overbearing. The live music created a lovely vibe, complementing the meal perfectly without being too loud. , Every dish was delicious, bursting with fresh flavors that made each bite a delight. Overall, the entire experience was top-notch. François Felix isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a place that invites you to come back and enjoy every moment again. I can’t wait for my next visit.

Overall it was good. I give 4 stars because when we were seated the waitress asked us if we want water and we said yes. She gave us one bottle of still water. Later we saw in the bill that it was 10 euro. Meanwhile on every other table there were bottles of tap water which are free. So, be careful and ask for tap water - don't make our mistake.

This is actually the best place I've been to in Paris the food was perfect the onion soup was amazing with cheese and bread adding the perfect texture to every bite The duck was juicy and rich, with the meat cooked just right. Definitely one of the best duck dishes I’ve had! Also they have live music which makes the atmosphere so warm

This is our second time at this restaurant, and once again we’re impressed. The atmosphere is wonderful, the staff are extremely friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious. We were especially impressed by the manager, who is very attentive and makes a real effort to accommodate guests who want to dine at the restaurant. Highly recommended — we will definitely be coming back👏🏻👏🏻🎉🤗🥂

My last night in Paris and I found this on Google. What a great little restaurant. The food was so good. I ordered the Beef Bourguignon and it was delicious. The bread was fresh and crispy, perfect for dipping in in the sauce. The desserts were delicious too. The service was great. This restaurant is located in a beautiful area next to the US Embassy.

Having a dinner here at Café Lapérouse is a beautiful mix of classic Parisian elegance and modern energy. The décor is stunning — warm, intimate, and perfect for a special evening. The food was excellent, and beautifully presented. Service was attentive and professional without feeling rushed. A great choice for date night or a stylish dinner with friends. Highly recommend!

Our food wasn’t that great. The service and atmosphere of the place were really good. But for the price, you don’t get what you paid for 😅

Fabulous experience, the food and presentation. Central historic location and beautiful interior decor. The team was wonderful and looked after us well.

Overall a lovely experience! Food was solid and we had a very enjoyable dinner. Service was good, but a bit confusing about who did what. Outer tables afford a view of the main avenue, but we quite preferred our seating in the inner courtyard which was beautiful.
Gabriela Babiarczyk★★★★★
We booked a big table here for a Parisian-style afternoon tea, and it was such a lovely experience. The interior is absolutely stunning, and the atmosphere was great - relaxed and elegant at the same time. The restaurant is tucked away inside a courtyard, which makes it feel calm, cozy and nicely chilled. We had tea, mocktails, cocktails and pretty much the entire dessert menu; everything was delicious! It’s a perfect spot to catch up and indulge a little; would definitely come back.

Surely must be the best view of the Eiffel Tower in the city. An absolutely gorgeous space looking over both the Seine and towards the Eiffel Tower. Sai was my server and was a treat as a foreigner to recommend local spots and provide amazing service. Highly recommend! Drinks reasonable with 5 euro shots. I didn’t eat during this visit but will absolutely be back to try the food on my next visit. Stunning view, great vibes, good music and one of the best venues I’ve been to in Paris.

Lovely setting and the starters and dessert were good. However the duck was quite flavourless and the fries were just warm. Service felt rushed and we had to use our starter cutlery for our mains as well? Went for our wedding anniversary dinner and were a but underwhelmed sadly.

Dining at Francette was one of the highlights of our time in Paris. The location is simply spectacular, offering breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower and the Seine that create an unforgettable atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Whether for lunch, dinner, or a sunset drink, the setting is among the most beautiful in the city. The cuisine is refined, creative, and perfectly executed. Every dish showcases high-quality ingredients, elegant presentation, and a modern interpretation of French gastronomy. The seafood selection is particularly impressive, fresh and expertly prepared. Service is professional, attentive, and polished, striking the perfect balance between efficiency and genuine hospitality. The staff make guests feel welcome while maintaining the sophisticated ambiance that defines the restaurant. What truly sets Francette apart is its unique combination of exceptional food, outstanding service, and one of the most iconic views in Paris. It manages to feel both chic and relaxed, making it equally suitable for a special celebration or a memorable evening in the French capital. A remarkable Parisian experience that I would gladly repeat. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Yusuf Yassin★★★★☆
The view of the Eiffel Tower and the atmosphere on the boat made this a really nice place to eat. A special shout out to our waiter, Gregory, who was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. We tried the tempura, which was good, but the crispy chicken with curry sauce was our favorite. We ended up ordering a second serving because we enjoyed it so much. The mussels were also very good, and the fresh guacamole was a nice starter. I wasn’t a fan of the signature duck entrecôte, but overall we had a good meal and would recommend this spot.
Aigars A★★★★☆
Overall a lovely meal, but the service needs a bit of work. The food itself was brilliant. The portion sizes were excellent and everything was presented beautifully. A big shout out to the kitchen—the quality was top-notch and the dishes came out really quickly. However, the service was a bit of a letdown. The staff were quite inattentive; I was even given a glass with a sharp, chipped edge, which was a bit dangerous. We had to ask for our drinks several times, and after requesting the dessert menu, we waited so long for someone to take our order that we eventually just gave up and left. The atmosphere was also a bit odd because of the music. It’s a great location and you expect a proper French vibe, but they were playing American pop music which didn’t fit the setting at all. Price-wise, we paid €180 for two adults and a child (no alcohol or dessert). For the quality of the food, I’d say that’s a very fair price. Overall, we had a positive time, but the waitstaff definitely need to be more on the ball!

While staying in the neighborhood, Bistrot Richelieu became our go to restaurant. I dined here 3 or 4 times. The food was very good and the staff friendly. Their onion soup was among the best that I have had. They also have a burger made with a French cheese that was excellent. The beef tartare also deserves mention. Everything I ate there was great to excellent.

As a travel advisor hosting a group of 14 clients in France, finding a restaurant that can comfortably seat everyone together isn't always easy—but this restaurant exceeded every expectation! Our server was absolutely amazing and took wonderful care of our group from start to finish. The atmosphere had the authentic French charm we were hoping for, making it the perfect place for a memorable group dinner. The food was outstanding. I enjoyed the French onion soup, the cuisse de canard confit, and the homemade pain perdu for dessert. Around the table, everyone ordered something different—from escargot and burgers to the beef bourguignon—and every single dish received rave reviews. Hands down, this is a fantastique restaurant! If you're visiting Paris, I highly recommend making a reservation, especially if you're traveling with a group.
Lara Guha★★★★★
The food was very delicious. We had a great experience there. The portions were generous and truly filling. The only thing that made me a bit uncomfortable was how close the tables were to each other. Me and my partner couldn’t have a proper conversation because the people sitting right next to us were from the same country as us 😅 it was especially a bad luck but still, a bit more room for conversation could be improved.
Alvin Villa★★★★★
Last night was such a great experience. Our server, Clemont, was incredibly kind, attentive, and accommodating the whole time. We didn’t even get a chance to ask the manager’s name, but the service overall felt very warm and welcoming. The food was great and the place had such a cool, very French vibe exactly the kind of atmosphere you hope for. Everything felt relaxed but well taken care of. Definitely a place worth coming back to.
Karissa King★★★★★
We found this restaurant on our last night in Paris. Easily our best meal. I had the beef bourguignon, my husband had steak frites, my mom had the chicken with ratatouille and I think we all had the French onion soup. My husband also got the Camembert with onion jam on toast. FABULOUS. The desserts were also phenomenal. The service was great, everyone was kind and the food was excellent

An amazing restaurant! That’s the best way I can describe it. It was only a five-minute walk from our hotel, which is why we chose it, and it also had excellent Google reviews. It absolutely lived up to the hype and was definitely worth visiting! There were four of us, and each person ordered two dishes. Every single one was outstanding—there wasn’t a single thing we didn’t enjoy. Our waitress was kind, friendly, and fun. She patiently answered all of our questions, and when we accidentally ordered two of the same dish, she happily changed one of them without any issue. The food was simply incredible—I honestly wish I could be back there eating it again. The service was a perfect 10/10. We didn’t have to wait long, and we felt genuinely welcomed throughout the evening. Even though the restaurant was completely full all night, they still managed to find a table for us, which we really appreciated. I would absolutely come back again without hesitation!

Last month, my wife and I enjoyed sunset stroll thru Montemarte. We were happy to find this hidden gem of restaurant. Smaller, modern decorated restaurant. We enjoyed homemade butter three ways, steak tartare, and kale salad. One thing that left us talking was the N°3 Fines de Claire oysters. The fresh oysters with sweet, pickled relish and liquor were amazing!

Another suggestion from a local. Dame was a bit more expensive than the other ones we went during our stay with a different concept. Every meal on the menu is marked with I II or III. I is equivalent to a starter size II equivalent to a main size and III you get the idea. The butter tasting was good. Wasn't so keen km the anchovies one but the nori+ misso and the garlic and chilli were delicious. The stake tartar was fantastic ans the duck the same. Portions are on the small side even if you order II. We ordered all to share. Also a taramasalata which was delicious but in liquid form rather than your usual paste form. The wine was delicious, about 42 euros a bottle and the staff super friendly and nice and also spoke English very well. Im total we paid 110 euros all together for 2.Ice evening, nice ambiance, good music. Recommend!
Nico M★★★★★
One of the best restaurants in Paris. I’d been to their sister restaurant Bonhomme which was amazing too so had to try this spot which slightly differs from your usual restaurant. The concept is that you can order every dish for 1, 2 or 4 which allows for more of a sharing concept. We tried all the starters and they were all so tasty. The mayo eggs were superb, apparently they won some award for them. The octopus carpaccio was divine and transported me from Paris to Greece for a minute. For mains, the duck was an absolute treat and I must admit; and slightly more tasty than the porc with chimichurri which was also great. Fries were delicious, with cajun spice on top and reminded a bit of the Five Guys fries. Finally the brownie for dessert was a must and you can’t go wrong with it! Service was faultless also; the restaurant owner Max made us feel at home and his charm and funny jokes kept us entertained all night. Restaurant is fairly small so best to book in advance. I think going with 4 people is the best option as you’ll get to try a bit of everything. PS: try the apricot liquor for a taste of something really special! CONCLUSION: HIGHLY RECOMMEND AND WILL RETURN.

Fun young vibe on a Friday night! There were two birthday parties there. It’s a good place to celebrate something. Good food though not memorable. Except for the very delicious tarama. Good wines. Very nice service. The space is very nice.

Midday on a chilly and drizzly Friday… Found venue as it was in proximity to Gare du Nord for return train( 10-15 mins amble…) Top drawer… ‘Minimalist’ menu ( choice ingredients but done expertly…) Parisian pricing + wine list to match… Not disappointed. Unbelievable cajun fries and garlic mayo.as one starter, brilliant bread… Rib of beef for two…? Just what you would wish for from a French kitchen… Service attentive, knowledgable & friendly… Open kitchen not over- stretched as sadly was very quiet… just 3 /4 other tables occupied out of maybe a dozen available..? But struggled to fault - provided you expect to pay for the experience…

We shared the Beef Rossini steak for two, served with incredibly delicious foie gras—perfectly cooked, rich, and full of flavor. We also enjoyed a plate of moules, which were fresh and absolutely delicious. Everything was perfectly complemented by an excellent bottle of red wine. The service was warm, attentive, and professional, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, out waiter name was Jose and he is a legend!. It was the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion, and we couldn’t have chosen a better restaurant. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be back on our next visit to Paris!

Foods and the vibe here are so good. I would say here is the must visit place in Paris if one would only stay for less than a week. I have the today’s special, fish and the champagne cocktail. AMAZING Franck tre bien! The best service and he’s good to Taiwanese ppl.

What a charming and authentic little French spot in Paris! Le Carré Élysée gave us such a memorable dinner experience. Our waiter, Adrian, made everything feel even more special with his friendly and attentive service. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating available, but since it was chilly outside, we enjoyed the cozy indoor atmosphere. We started the evening with red wine: I had the Brouilly AOP Château des Tours and my wife enjoyed the Pinot Noir IGP Le Versant. Both paired perfectly with the meal. For appetizers, we shared the Goat Cheese Spring Rolls, which were crispy, creamy, and delicious. For dinner, my wife had the classic Boeuf Bourguignon, rich and comforting, while I ordered the Pluma de Cochon de nos Régions, which was incredibly flavorful and cooked perfectly. To finish the night, we shared the Éclair au caramel beurre salé. Absolutely amazing and the perfect sweet ending! A fantastic little restaurant for both travelers looking for authentic French cuisine and locals wanting a cozy, quality meal. Yummmmmm!

The food was excellent overall, and the Confit de Canard was especially outstanding — perfectly cooked, rich, and full of flavor. The service was also great, and Jonathan was particularly attentive and friendly, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place and would happily come back again.

We had an amazing meal! We are only in Paris for 2 nights before we begin our cycling and hiking journey for the next 3 weeks. We had walked by this restaurant last night and quickly decided would be a great place for dinner on our last night in Paris. The meal and service did not disappoint! My hubby had the nightly steak special and I had the gnocchi special. Both were amazing. I highly recommend this place and if you are lucky enough to get Jose as your waiter, you are in great hands!🙌

Super dining experience at this establishment. Showed up on a Friday evening and without a reservation and was quickly seated. Had a magnificent meal, including half a bottle of red for under 75 euro, for two people - as described. Great value! Highly recommend this place. All dishes were delicious. Duck confit just fell of for the bone. Cheeses were great. The dessert was ridiculous. Highly recommend it I will be going again before my vacation is over 5/5!!!!!

One of the best restaurants in Paris! We waited for almost two hours because we didn’t reserve a table. The wait was well worth it! We got 4 starters, 3 mains, one dessert, and drinks, all for less than €60 in total for two people! One of the best value for money in Paris. We understand how it withstood the test of time, and why people queue for it. The different starters were amazing! The ratatouille, salad, and french soup were some of the highlights for me. Even the mains were filling and satisfying. Would definitely visit this place again and would book a reservation in advance. The staff was very polite and accommodating even though it was a very busy evening for them. They’re used to having tourists and locals. Highly recommended!

What can I say? Great service is the most important thing. Because when it comes to the food itself, I don't have to give a positive opinion, because that's what it is. Very tasty, affordable, and tastes like France. I recommend it to every tourist I will just point out that it is very important to make a reservation in advance. Because those willing to eat without a reservation, the number of people waiting reaches several dozen meters . I recommend for sure

A great restaurant if you want a meal with all the courses (appetizer, main, and dessert) with a reasonable price. though don't expect any major surprises—the food is solid and perfectly fine. We went in the afternoon, around 4 PM, so there was no wait. Ordering was quick, and the food arrived promptly, too. You can pay directly via an app using the QR code found at each table, which makes settling the bill incredibly easy. A overall good experience.

The restaurant operations are fantastic. We booked in advance and got our table so quickly. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, the system is efficient, and the staff are professional. Unfortunately, the food itself was very disappointing. Even with the budget-friendly prices, it wasn't worth it. You're better off saving your money and eating elsewhere.

Very delicious food and definitely worth the price. There is a wide range of options from the menu, with all options cooked very well. I’ve had the beef tartar with mash; the beef is refreshing and tender, whilst the mash is buttery and smooth. The waitresses are also so polite and fast paced. The restaurant servings feels very authentic and home like, and all options on the menu are well cooked. One thing is the interior is a bit crammed, but otherwise I can’t stress how highly I will recommend this place.

Very French. Options are standard and on a quiet brick side street. The salad is plentiful but could use more lettuce. The duck was good with a classic seasoning. All in all you willbe satisfied but not blown away. Lovely bistro.

This was the best food in our 2 week stay! Their French onion soup can’t be missed, and the crème brûlée was incredible! In fact, everything our party of 4 had was considered the best of the trip. The location in a small side street means it’s quiet and traffic-free. The staff was friendly and helpful, couldn’t have asked for better. Make reservations! And don’t miss coming here! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

An awesome example of a great Parisian restaurant. Small, off the beaten path, and great execution of a wonderful meal! The staff was excellent, willing to above and beyond. The food was second to none! The snails were the best I have ever had! The veal was cooked well and the potato pairing was scrumptious. They have a good wine selection as well. Be sure to call ahead for reservations during busy times.

Atmosphere was good. A French group was very happy and loud. Lots of international, not necessarily tourists. Waites were pleasants professional and efficient . I think price are worth the quality. Everything i ordered was very good. Portion are enough and not too much. We barely managed to finish the dessert. I ll keep the adress in mind for another time. Oh they have a terrasse as well for good weather days.

Tips for Dining Near Place de la Concorde

Navigating the dining scene in such a high-traffic tourist zone requires a bit of local knowledge to avoid disappointment. While the quality of food is generally high in this district, understanding the nuances of timing, dress, and ordering will ensure you have the seamless experience you are looking for. Here are some essential tips to keep in mind before you book your table.

Book well in advance for palace hotels.
If you have your heart set on dining at iconic locations like Le Meurice or Hôtel de Crillon, you must secure a reservation weeks, if not months, in advance. These dining rooms are small and highly sought after by international travelers. A last-minute walk-in is almost always impossible, even for hotel guests.

Dress the part.
While Paris has relaxed its dress codes in recent years, the finer restaurants near Concorde still appreciate a smart-casual or formal approach. Leave the sneakers, shorts, and baseball caps at the hotel. A blazer or a chic dress will not only help you blend in but also aligns with the elevated atmosphere of these historic rooms.

Take advantage of the lunch menu.
Dinner near the Place de la Concorde can be exceptionally expensive, especially at gastronomic restaurants. To experience Michelin-level cooking for a fraction of the cost, visit during the week for lunch. Most top-tier establishments offer a "menu déjeuner" that includes multiple courses at a significantly reduced rate compared to the evening tasting menus.

Be mindful of the time.
Many kitchens in Paris close between lunch and dinner service. If you want to eat at 4:00 PM or 6:00 PM, you will likely be limited to cafés or brasseries with continuous service. Traditional restaurants typically open for dinner service at 7:30 PM or 8:00 PM, which is when the dining rooms begin to fill with locals.

Respect the pace.
Service in fine French restaurants is meant to be leisurely, not slow. Do not expect to rush through a three-course meal in 45 minutes. Waiters will not bring the bill until you ask for it—this is a sign of respect, not neglect. Signal your server and say "l’addition, s’il vous plaît" when you are ready to leave.

The area surrounding Place de la Concorde is more than just a geographical center of Paris; it is a culinary crossroads where history and haute cuisine intersect. Choosing to dine here places you in the footsteps of literary giants, political figures, and culinary legends who have shaped the identity of French food.

Whether you opt for a simple plate of steak frites or a multi-course tasting menu, the experience is elevated by the surroundings. The proximity to the city’s most beautiful monuments adds a layer of romance to every meal, making a dinner here as much about the atmosphere as it is about the ingredients on the plate.
