Dining near the Champs-Élysées often conjures images of overpriced tourist traps and mediocre steak-frites, but the reality of the surrounding Golden Triangle and 8th arrondissement is far more nuanced. While the avenue itself is lined with famous brasseries, the true culinary gems are often tucked away on the quiet side streets just a short walk from the Arc de Triomphe. Whether you are looking for a power lunch between meetings or a romantic dinner after a stroll down the cobblestones, the area offers a surprising depth of gastronomic variety.
The neighborhood is a study in contrasts, balancing the historic legacy of Parisian haute cuisine with the modern demands of international travelers and local epicureans. Here, century-old institutions with gilded interiors sit alongside contemporary neo-bistros helmed by innovative young chefs. The proximity to luxury fashion houses and five-star hotels means the standard of service is generally high, but it also means prices can vary wildly depending on how close you sit to the main drag.
For the savvy visitor, the key to eating well here is knowing where to look. You want to find the places that Parisians themselves frequent—the spots where the produce is fresh, the bread is sourced from artisan bakers, and the atmosphere doesn’t rely solely on the glow of the nearby monuments. From exceptional seafood platters to perfectly executed Japanese omakase, the dining scene surrounding the world’s most beautiful avenue is a microcosm of global culinary trends.
Understanding the layout is essential for planning your meal. The Champs-Élysées stretches from the Place de la Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe, but the best dining density is usually found on the upper half, near the Arc, and in the side streets like Rue de Ponthieu, Rue de Bassano, and Avenue George V. These arteries are quieter, allowing for a more intimate dining experience away from the constant hum of traffic and tour groups.
This guide focuses on quality and experience rather than just name recognition. We have considered not only the food on the plate but also the ambiance, the wine lists, and the consistency of the kitchen. You will find options ranging from the historic and theatrical to the minimalist and contemporary, ensuring there is a table for every palate and occasion.
When dining in this district, it is wise to book ahead, especially for dinner service. The clientele is a mix of business executives, hotel guests, and locals, meaning the prime tables are often reserved days in advance. While walk-ins are sometimes possible for lunch, securing a reservation ensures you won’t be left wandering the avenue hungry.
Below is a curated selection of the twelve best dining establishments within walking distance of the Champs-Élysées, chosen for their commitment to excellence and their ability to deliver a memorable Parisian meal.

We've been here twice and we really loved the experience. If you are looking for a nice place for dinner o lunch, that's the one. Everything was delicious and served very quickly. The waiters are all friendly and helpful, especially Chotan. There is food for everyone: beef, lamb, chicken, duck, fish, other sea food, salads, french desserts... A good variety to choose from. And they work till late night, so it was perfect for us to come here for late dinner after observing the Eiffel Tower lights. We will definitely come back here the next time we are in Paris.

One of the best meals we had in Paris! The onion soup was loaded with cheese and a great start. The ravioli from the Dauphiné region (Label Rouge) with parmesan cream was absolutely delectable. The langoustines were huge, they stared right back at you! Definitely an adventure.
The grilled ribeye with Béarnaise sauce and fries (classic steak frites) was fantastic. I couldn’t finish it, but pro tip: place the steak on the fries and let the juices soak in....so good.
We finished with the crème brûlée, and it was perfection, light and airy inside, with that crisp caramelized top, plus just a hint of bourbon and vanilla.
Yes, you’re on the Champs-Élysées, but this didn’t feel like a tourist trap. Definitely worth stopping in for a great meal.

What a lovely restaurant. We stopped by here for lunch and had a starter and a main and a starter, main and dessert.
Our waiter was Rashal, he was friendly and attentive in his role.
The Onion soup was beautiful and so was the salad. The mains were the haddock with rice and the other was sauerkraut with ham, smoked sausage and belly pork and dessert was creme brule.
Great atmosphere and all the food leaving the kitchen looked delicious 😋

Nice place with a great location on the Champs-Élysées and a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food was a bit disappointing for the price — the cream mussels and oysters did not feel very fresh or worth the value paid. The beef tartare was decent though. On the positive side, the service team was friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the meal.

Very nice restaurant, with outdoor seating where you can enjoy the Parisian atmosphere. Super friendly service, a magnificent atmosphere, and amazing food. Highly recommended for a typical Parisian dinner.
I thank the waiter serhat for being friendly and helpful!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Exceptional Dining Experience!
The food was absolutely incredible! Every dish was delicious, flavourful, fresh, beautifully presented, and perfectly prepared. The flavours were rich and well balanced, and every bite was a real pleasure. You can truly taste the quality and care in every dish.
The desserts were simply divine—beautifully presented, indulgent, and the perfect way to finish the meal. 🍰✨
The atmosphere was fantastic, both inside and outside. Stylish, elegant, festive, and full of energy, with a beautiful setting that makes the whole experience feel special.
One of the best dining experiences we’ve had! Absolutely worth visiting and highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was my favorite restaurant on my whole trip to Paris. While a bit pricy, our food choices (fish and chips, and fried chicken) were innovative and delicious, and we had a great view from the glass patio. Our server was friendly and helpful. Don't miss the adorable gift shop next door. I wouldn't expect food of this caliber in such a tourist area so it was a very pleasant surprise.

Great little place to grab a bite if you are near the Arc de Triumph! I was looking for something a bit medium to upscale with an interesting menu and LE Drugstore delivered! Waitstaff was also phenomenal. I highly recommend this place for a quick bite to eat!

We had a wonderful dining experience at Carré Élysée Café Brasserie during our visit to Paris. The restaurant has an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere, and its location near the Champs-Élysées makes it a perfect place to stop for a meal while exploring the city. The service was friendly and welcoming, and we really enjoyed the authentic Parisian ambience. A lovely place to relax, enjoy good food and experience the charm of Paris. Highly recommended!
We shared the Beef Rossini steak for two, served with incredibly delicious foie gras—perfectly cooked, rich, and full of flavor. We also enjoyed a plate of moules, which were fresh and absolutely delicious. Everything was perfectly complemented by an excellent bottle of red wine.
The service was warm, attentive, and professional, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, out waiter name was Jose and he is a legend!. It was the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion, and we couldn’t have chosen a better restaurant.
Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be back on our next visit to Paris!

What a charming and authentic little French spot in Paris! Le Carré Élysée gave us such a memorable dinner experience. Our waiter, Adrian, made everything feel even more special with his friendly and attentive service. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating available, but since it was chilly outside, we enjoyed the cozy indoor atmosphere.
We started the evening with red wine: I had the Brouilly AOP Château des Tours and my wife enjoyed the Pinot Noir IGP Le Versant. Both paired perfectly with the meal. For appetizers, we shared the Goat Cheese Spring Rolls, which were crispy, creamy, and delicious.
For dinner, my wife had the classic Boeuf Bourguignon, rich and comforting, while I ordered the Pluma de Cochon de nos Régions, which was incredibly flavorful and cooked perfectly. To finish the night, we shared the Éclair au caramel beurre salé. Absolutely amazing and the perfect sweet ending!
A fantastic little restaurant for both travelers looking for authentic French cuisine and locals wanting a cozy, quality meal. Yummmmmm!

The food was excellent overall, and the Confit de Canard was especially outstanding — perfectly cooked, rich, and full of flavor. The service was also great, and Jonathan was particularly attentive and friendly, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place and would happily come back again.

We had an amazing meal! We are only in Paris for 2 nights before we begin our cycling and hiking journey for the next 3 weeks. We had walked by this restaurant last night and quickly decided would be a great place for dinner on our last night in Paris. The meal and service did not disappoint! My hubby had the nightly steak special and I had the gnocchi special. Both were amazing. I highly recommend this place and if you are lucky enough to get Jose as your waiter, you are in great hands!🙌

Walking in, the decor immediately impressed, very chic and refined. It’s quite a large restaurant, with an outside terrace area to eat as well. We were seated at a table for two. The chairs, covered in black velvet, were stylish but a bit tricky to maneuver, though comfortable once settled in.
We ordered a lovely bottle of French rosé from Provence to accompany our meal. I had a salad, their take on a Cobb salad, which was delicious. My partner had the veal tonnitno , which she thoroughly enjoyed.
It was the perfect location, especially afterward, when we had time to stroll to the Arc de Triomphe for some photos. Service was a highlight throughout: the waiter was attentive, our water and wine glasses never ran empty, and everything was delivered with a smile.
Overall, it’s worth a visit, one of the better restaurants on the strip, and a great stop if you’re spending the day around the Champs-Élysées.

Wonderful place with an amazing atmosphere! The environment was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. A special thanks to Marena for the warm welcome at the front, and to our waiter, Mohammed, for his superb hospitality and attentive service. They both made our experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Visited Fouquet's as part of a large group (around 20 people) for a special occasion. The setting is elegant and the atmosphere feels appropriately refined for a well-known Parisian restaurant. Service was organised given the group size, which I appreciated.
That said, I felt the pricing was on the higher side relative to the overall dining experience. While the dishes were nicely presented, the flavours didn’t quite match what I was expecting at that level. A few items also arrived slightly cooler than ideal — which may have been a factor of catering for a large group, but it did affect the enjoyment.
Portion sizes were reasonable, though slightly more generous servings would have helped the meal feel better balanced for the cost.
Overall, it’s a polished venue with strong ambience. For larger group bookings, it delivers a smooth experience, but in my view the value didn’t fully align with the pricing.
Wlodzimierz Szymanski★★★★★
We started with a beautiful Minuty Rosé, followed by classic French onion soup, perfectly cooked steak, delicate sole, and a floating island to finish.
Every single dish was executed with precision, balance and respect for tradition.
The steak was cooked exactly as requested, the sole was elegant and refined, and the floating island was light, nostalgic and technically flawless.
What impressed me most was the consistency and quality across the entire experience.
No shortcuts. No compromises. Just proper French gastronomy done right.
And the service?
Warm, attentive, professional without being intrusive — exactly what fine dining should feel like.
As someone who works in the culinary industry, I left genuinely impressed.
Exceptional food. Exceptional service.
Let’s don’t forget the singer she was awesome too
Bravo and Merci

Had chicken burger with egg added, u might need to ask to have egg well done as its runny sunny side up. Kids had chicken tenders its 2 prices only. The French fries were fantastic nice and crispy. Vegetarian toastie had good veggie inside but too much cream cheese which I had to leave and work around to eat.
Roughly spend is €25 on average per person.

I first ordered onion soup but the soup was not that good and the cheese on top was a little burnt and also one of the toasted breads inside the soup was burnt too so I asked them to change my food and they kindly accepted. Instead of the soup I ordered a steak with fries which was good. Generally I was satisfied but I don’t recommend the soup.

We had an extremely unpleasant and rude experience 😟😟😟😟
I came to Paris from the Netherlands for a holiday, and a few hours ago, we went to Brasserie des Champs on the Champs-Élysées for lunch.
Since we live in the Netherlands, we are accustomed to waiting for a member of staff to show us to a table as a matter of basic courtesy, even when a restaurant is completely empty. We were prepared to do the same here, but before sitting down, we simply asked whether onion soup was available as a starter.
The female waitress responded in an extremely rude manner. She told us, essentially, that we could not simply walk in, ask whether they had onion soup, and then sit wherever we wanted. Her attitude was so hostile that we felt as though we were being thrown out of the restaurant.
She then made another dismissive hand gesture and rudely told us, “Go ahead, sit at that table.”
My husband was about to sit down simply out of politeness, but I quietly told him that I did not want to stay. The waitress clearly understood this and, once again in a very rude manner, turned her head away as if to say, “Suit yourselves,” and began speaking in French to another employee at the bar.
There was no argument, no disagreement, no misunderstanding, and absolutely no reason for such behaviour. Nevertheless, this was one of the rudest experiences we have ever had, and unfortunately, it left us with a very negative impression of the Champs-Élysées.
I sincerely hope that you can learn to treat tourists visiting your country with a little more courtesy and respect.
Yours sincerely,

If you're looking for an unforgettable gastronomic experience in Paris, Le Maison D' Aubrac is an absolute must.
The meat is simply extraordinary—so tender it literally melts in your mouth. It's the kind of food that brings out your primal instincts, making you want to savor every last bite straight from the bone. Every dish was beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor.
A special thank you to Mael, the sommelier, whose knowledge, passion, and warm personality made choosing the perfect wine a real pleasure. His recommendations elevated the entire meal.
Our waiter, Pierre, was equally fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, he guided us through the menu, suggested excellent drinks, and convinced us to end the evening with a delicious dessert that we would have regretted missing.
Exceptional food, outstanding service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Without a doubt, one of the best meals we've had in Paris. We can't wait to come back!

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant in the heart of Paris! The hamburger, carpaccio, onion soup was absolutely delicious and unlike anything we’ve had before. The fries were perfectly crispy and full of flavor, and the desserts were simply outstanding. On top of the fantastic food, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We truly enjoyed every moment and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Paris. We will definitely come back!

Family-owned steakhouse with a rich history. Very good selection of quality meats with excellent price to value. Highly recommend making a reservation online. Highlight was the service! Massi was fantastic and looked after us the entire evening. Thanks for a great evening!

What a wonderful dining experience. We are from America/ NYC area and the service in Paris is much different than what we’re used to. At Maison De L’Aubrac, though, we felt much more at home. We were greeted so kindly and accommodated immediately even though we were very early for our reservation. We were able to order only drinks at first and still go over the menu. The server, Lucien, was constantly checking on us. He was absolutely wonderful. This was by far the best meal experience we had. The French onion soup and the French toast dessert were our favorite parts!
HA R★★★★☆
We specifically came here as it was well reviewed on Google. I would discourage that. It's solid, Serviceable and I'm happy we went, but this is nothing special. Essentially a french diner. They seem to pride themselves on their meat. We had the steak. It was ok, but nothing memorable. Don't regret going, but won't be returning unless I'm in the neighborhood and need an option in short notice.
If I could I'd give this place 3.5 stars.

Man this was a tough one to review. The atmosphere at a Four Seasons and the service was really good.
But unfortunately if you’re a 3* Michelin Restaurant, you just have to do better on the food.
It was good. But not great.
Only one dish I would consider was at a 3* level - the Beef Fillet. Everything else was good but not memorable.
I would say there’s a need for more bold flavor. Many of the dishes felt safe.
To me, that’s a bit boring and not worth the price tag.
Some of the amuse bouche were not very good.
I wanted to enjoy Le Cinq, and I kind of did. But not for the price.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Truly Grand and Visionary 3-Star Culinary Experience
Food & Culinary Sense: At a three-star establishment, top-tier ingredients are a given. But Le Cinq goes far beyond that—it delivers a flawless, masterfully balanced sense of culinary artistry. The balance resonated perfectly with my taste, elevating the meal from great to unforgettable.
Exceptional Service & Renewal: The team is driven by sharp, highly talented young professionals who bring dynamic energy to the dining room. Their dedication to maintaining ultimate quality through a continuous process of youthful evolution is deeply inspiring. It left me with a thrilling anticipation of an ongoing gastronomic revolution.
Romantic Birthday Magic: I celebrated my birthday here, and it was the ultimate romantic dining experience. The cuisine was spectacular, but the subtle, immaculate service truly moved me. A highlight of the evening was when the staff surprised me with a beautiful rose—a gesture that filled my heart with joy.
Breathtaking Ambiance: As one of my absolute favorite hotel brands, the Four Seasons never fails to captivate. From the gorgeous floral arrangements at the entrance to the breathtaking interior design, every detail heightens the sense of occasion. Dressing up for this magnificent setting made the evening feel even more magical.

One of the most memorable degustation menus I can remember. They accommodated my dietary restrictions well where I felt all the food was thoughtfully prepared, not just the meat versions. The staff was friendly (friendlier than I remember maybe a few years back) and fun! Really enjoyable meal and time.
Anna Molina★★★★★
This was my first time going to a upscale restaurant. The service was exceptional, they're very attentive I never wanted for anything. The food just missed the mark, nothing I had would make me want to come here again. I've traveled all over the world and there are places where I still think about a certain dish that was to die for but nothing i ate here would make me think about it again. If you want to go and have a great service experience and try an upscale restaurant you can but I won't think twice about this place again. The price for this dinner is the cost of probably half my mortgage. Also, the coffee is not free which is appalling, it is probably the worst thing I've ever consumed in my life.
M G★★★★☆
Edit: After thorough analysis I will have to take out one star because the mains didn't wow me (which they should have) given the exorbitant prices, while the cheaper desserts took the crown instead.
As a fine dining enthusiast, Le Cinq was not exactly in my bucket list given it's not as popular as some other world renowned restaurants. As expected, the flavours from the mains didn't quite live up to the mark but the other courses made up by a great extent. Decided to go with the À la carte option and I'm so glad to have done that since I wasn't keen of most of the dishes on the tasting menu. Got the classic Spaghetti gratin and I could clearly tell the massive amount of effort going into just the presentation. What I noticed was a dominant butter texture in the dish, the other components like the mushroom and ham could have had more seasoning perhaps? The dish felt one tone for the most part, still not bad. The other was the Sea bass, and again the butter dominated the dish. Still this time, I could taste the buttermilk tartiness and the amazing fish, cooked perfectly, with caviar. At this point it was clear, french food really doesn't have much spice to it, like butter, pepper and salt is good...but spices from around the world really could elevate this cuisine to another level.
The courses that blew me away were the amuse bouches at the beginning, the waffle like starter along with the other offerings were definitely one of the top aperitifs I've ever tasted. The pistachio sorbet, it was my first time trying it savoury style and it was amazing. The dessert - Spicy pineapple - simply SUBLIME! It was the best dish of the evening; I could taste the fruit and earthy herbs which really made me nostalgic. So magical!
It was better than the crunchy grapefruit (the popular le cinq dessert) in my opinion. While it had a lot of dimensions to it, I wasn't wowed, and maybe because it was eclipsed by the dessert preceding it 😀
What I loved about this experience were the additional offerings of Kouign Aman, pre-dessert called dairy iced, etc. which were all complimentary. The service was good, though I'm not a big sucker for this aspect as I'm usually just focussed on the food. Would probably recommend for anyone looking for a memorable experience.

Highly recommend the cassolette de moul (Spanish mussels casserole) and marget de canard (duck breast)!! Came here for dinner and there were beautiful fairy lights, and the vibe was cosy. The Spanish mussels were so delicious, served in a creamy sauce with garlic, herbs and homemade breadcrumbs… legendary life-changing sauce omg we polished the dish clean with the bread, which was also soft and not hard to bite into. The duck breast, seared on the skin, was crispy, with a sweet honey sauce it was also our first time having medium rare duck meat. Less fibrous and juicier compared to beef steak, yummy and would recommend. Tasted like it was cooked in red wine. The potatoes served at the side was incredibly creamy and delicious as well, tasted as if it was cooked in white wine. Tasted good eating it one after the other.

Excellent service from start to finish. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and spoke English very well, which made everything easy and comfortable.

Lovely little restaurant, very busy but waiters are on it. Super friendly and helpful, and speak English. Food was tasty, dessert was absolutely fantastic!! Try to sit outside or in the front part of the restaurant because there was no breeze in the back. Quaint little place, reasonable prices. Make a reservation on their website if you can or you may have to wait or go elsewhere.

Hands down the best dinner we had in Paris! Very unassuming, local restaurant that serves "fine dining" French dishes in a casual setting. There is the main menu and then there are the fresh daily specials. My sister and I chose to have the French onion soup (best French onion soup we've ever had!) to start. We both had the duck confit which was nice and crunchy with some mash puree and slaw. It was delicious. To top it all off we had a perfect creme brulee and Americano with pistachio cookie. I am definitely coming back here when I visit Paris next!

I heard great things about Le Sens Unique so I decided to check it out. It was an intimate, quaint setting. The outside seating was just a cute and romantic. The servers were very accommodating, attentive and knowledgeable. The french onion soup was the best I ever had and the shrimp and pasta was absolutely delicious! It was creamy, it had nice size shrimp, and black olives. I Ioved the food so much I went back three days later. The chef Frédéric was gracious and approachable. He was kind enough to take a picture with me and gave a little back story on the words printed outside of the restaurant. Thank you for a pleasant experience.

Will definitely come back again to try more galettes and crepe options that this creperie has to offer

Great vegan galette option just off of Champs Elysees! Do need to modify a bit, but the veggie paste on the inside is absolutely delicious. My only issue here is that there were so many bugs at our table, even though we were at the back of the restaurant

Excellent Creperie with a very nice service, close to the Arch de Triumph, the restaurant is very comfortable and the food is magnificent. The Galletes and the crepes are delicious!!! Totally recommended and better to book a table cause it gets full pretty fast

It’s in a drugstore shopping centre which is very odd location so you have to go in and the resteraunt is inside down some stairs
Taste and quality of the craft is excellent. Service people are good interactive. This dinner bellow cost 300€. The dinner menus consist of 2 sets and rest À la carte with a page full of tasting items(small plates) then half a plate of starters and half a plate of mains. The quail stuffed with duck liver very very good and the strawberry desert, blown sugar to make the shape of the strawberry and the stem and I’m not sure what the seeds are made of though. And inside is strawberry sorbet, cookie on the bottom and strawberry’s surrounding it and then pistachio grains surrounding the plate.

Overall I enjoyed the food but service wasn't great at this price point. My server tried but he had simply too many diners to look after. I wanted to order a glass of white from their 12€ per glass selection as soon as I arrived. They insisted in me talking to the sommelier but why? I just want a simple glass of wine. In the end I had to wait until my first starter was almost finished, asked the sommelier to choose one of the three wines from the menu selection, he chose a Chardonnay that was 40€ a glass which wasn't part of the selection. Now I enjoyed the wine but he should have at least mentioned the price. To get a second glass of wine also took a while for the same reason. It is beyond me why restaurants still insist in doing this. If I want a sommelier, I will ask for one. And the price hike just left a sour taste in my mouth. You would rather I wait 30 mins to get a glass of wine than just give me the glass of wine I want? Apart from this, courses were good. I went for 4 courses menu and got the lobster spaghetti as a supplement. I enjoyed sitting at the counter and watching the service with the neapolitan sous chef talking in my dialect. Super entertaining.

Overall:
Very tasty, visuals top, you are not leaving hungry, standard drinks are very expensive.
I would recommend this 1 Michelin⭐️ restaurant!
Better than in other 2 Michelin⭐️ restaurants.
We had been there for lunch and got the lunch menu.
Yes, a Michelin restaurant with lunch menu!
55€, great price for the quality, cover with bread and homemade salted butter. 1 starter (cold or warm, each 4 variations), 1 main course (8 different ones), 1 desert (4 variations). You get asked what you want and can choose the respective combo from the available dishes. Some things have a surcharge of 15€ (f.e. Lobster).
They also offer menus for kids, which, I think, is amazing and not usual. 35€, same procedure, and thoughtful for kids tastes, and what they would potentially eat.
Everything is visually beautifully served. The service is amazing. Also funny, no stiff behavior, very considerate and flexible.
Two things I want to mention:
- The rooms are well air conditioned, sometimes a bit too chilly. If I would have known I would potentially decided to wear a second layer over my shirt.
- the drinks are very expensive (soft drinks 0.33 8€, beer the same; non alcoholic mocktail 18€). That is, imho, even for Michelin too much.

We are a couple who love trying Michelin starred restaurants across Belgium and The Netherlands. During our short stay in Paris, we decided to try a Michelin Starred restaurant there. I must say, it did not disappoint!
The lunch menu (€55) was a great way to get to know this lovely restaurant.
We started the lunch with a very tasteful amuse bouche. Afterwards my husband had the veggie ravioli and I had the lovely ceviche. My ceviche was a combination of fresh raw fish with a lemon/zesty yummy vinaigrette, perfect to seasoning.
As a main dish, I had the vegetarian option of quinoa with roasted vegetables and a curry madras sauce. The only point of critique was the cuissin of the carrots. They were barely cooked. Not al dente, but still very hard. (one piece almost went flying of my plate when trying to stick it on my fork). The rest of the vegetables were cooked to perfection.
The dessert (apricot tart) was to die for!
Another plus about our experience was the service! Everyone was nice, friendly.. The sommelier knew his wines and drinks and had no problem recommending nice wines to be paired with our starter and main courses.
We even got an extra little course because I had requested to wait a while between starter and main course. This was a very lovely surprise!
We had a great experience, and enjoyed the pommes purée to the max, they were delisious to say the least 🙂
We'll be back!

The menu for lunch was confusing or was not explained properly. It’s about the formule, the cold starter, salad, main menu & dessert. I’m impressed with the food presentation but not the taste of the pasta😳the tiny bubbles in the sauce is unimpressive and I can taste coconut which to me doesn’t belong to pasta. The sea bream was exceptional, not impressed with the avocado but dessert is good enough. As for my espresso the waiter gave me the untouched one from the table next to me. I was about to complain but didn’t. I guess the client didn’t order it so instead of throwing it I ended up sipping it😳🤷♀️….

Champs Eleysees is riddled with restaurants, so choosing a restaurant and a menu that suits you can be difficult. We always like to narrow it down to 3 options. Cafe Di Roma was our 3rd option but 1st choice, purely for the menu and the vibe. Some restaurants on the stretch can be quite ‘boogee’. This one suited us great. Our server was Amir. He was great. Honest. Hard working. Great customer service, absolutely faultless. Amir introduced me to a new drink I’d never tried. His knowledge was great saying he’d only been there 2 weeks. (You’d never think it). The service was exceptional. After ordering food and drink, this was delicious. The pizza was a great size and great taste. The tagliatelle was beautiful too. A great size portion. Drinks were very complementary with the food. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The only thing I would say is to make it a non smoking zone outside. Apart from that, this was a great experience. Thank you for looking after us. I wish you all the best in your endeavours. 💫

Very nice restaurant on a very busy Champs Elysées. I enjoyed my order although the char on the fish was a bit too much for me but I didn't notice it when I paired it with the risotto. The staff were very friendly, helpful and fluent in English and explained the special to us and happily tailored the burger to suit the preferences of someone in our party. I definitely recommend.

With temperatures pushing 98 degrees, Café di Roma was the perfect spot to escape the heat and enjoy a quick lunch.
We ordered the 3-cheese pizza, and it was fantastic—hot, fresh, cheesy, and full of flavor. We also shared an order of mozzarella sticks, which were traditional and exactly what you’d expect: crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside.
A cold Pepsi was especially refreshing after walking around in the summer heat. The indoor seating provided a comfortable break from the weather, and the service was friendly and welcoming.
If you’re looking for a casual place to cool off, grab a quick bite, and recharge while exploring Paris, Café di Roma is a solid choice. 🍕🥤☀️

Fabio was an excellent host with a great attitude and made us feel very welcome. The place is lovely, and we enjoyed sitting in the outdoor seating area, which has a classic French atmosphere. It was a nice pit stop for us, and if you’re looking for a decent , reliable place, I would recommend it.

Nice design, family friendly. Had a jekyl and hyde experience. 1st half perfect. Very attentive staff, our waiter 1st class, nice, tuxedo. Menu starters are a bit unapproachable. Not items we ever would have ordered. Had the cuttlefish and cold veggie plate, both delicious. No salads in the menu. Mains, Had the lobster linguine, fabulous. Roasted lamb was great, my fillet was nicely cooked, but only maybe 115 grams. Served with orange squash puree and carrots made for a very orange plate. It looked odd, tasted good!
2nd half our waiter disappeared on break after mains, never checked on us. Ran out of drinks and no water to be found.
We waited 20 minutes after finishing main before being asked for dessert by a second waitress, then another 15 minutes and we had to ask for the l'addition.
Food was good, but lack of traditional starters and poor service at the end, not surprised why the place is empty at 9pm.

Beautiful relaxing ambience with chicken decor. Food is delicious, cooked to perfection. Excellent service. P.S. Try the Chai latte. It was so heavenly.

Lovely dinner on our last night in Paris. Friend had the Lobster Linguine which was out of this world and my braised Lamb shoulder was delicious. My only complaint is that our food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. Even with dessert we were in and out of the restaurant in less than an hour. A bit rushed considering there was only a few other patrons dining. Nonetheless, a lovely place with great food.

The restaurant located in the 5 star hotel Marignan. Nice modern design.
Staff and waiters not always notice you, so need always search for them, that I didn’t like. Some of staff was really pro in the job, smily and helpful (don’t remember girl’s name), some staff wasn’t.
Food was delicious, really tasty. Nice drinks.
Haven’t tried dessert, unfortunately.
Just didn’t like many small flies around the food, after changing the table they were gone. But noone apologized for this.
Maybe you can double check your restaurant for cleaning.

Amazing food in a warm cozy interior. Highly recommend the beef cheek which melted in my mouth, or the perfectly cooked duck. The mango pana cotta was the best I’ve had outside of Italy!
The kitchen quickly whipped up a simple omelet for my toddler who cleaned the plate so fast. Great experience!
Practical Tips for Dining Near the Champs-Élysées
Navigating the culinary landscape of a high-tourism zone requires a bit of local knowledge to avoid the pitfalls of inflated prices and subpar quality. While the restaurants listed above are all excellent, how you approach your reservation can significantly impact your overall experience. Here are a few strategies to ensure your meal is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
1. Beware of the "Avenue Premium"
The closer you sit to the actual Champs-Élysées pavement, the more you will likely pay for the view rather than the food. Some of the historic brasseries on the avenue itself are worth visiting for the decor and people-watching, but if your priority is culinary quality per euro spent, walk two or three blocks north or south. You will find that prices drop slightly and the focus shifts back to the kitchen.
2. Master the Art of the French Lunch
If you want to experience a top-tier restaurant without the hefty dinner price tag, book a table for lunch. Most high-end establishments near the Champs-Élysées offer a "Formule" or "Menu du Déjeuner" (set lunch menu) that includes two or three courses at a fraction of the cost of the à la carte dinner menu. It is the best way to taste Michelin-level cooking on a moderate budget.
3. Dress the Part
While Paris has become more casual in recent years, the restaurants surrounding the Golden Triangle still lean towards "smart casual" or formal. Avoid athletic wear, shorts, and flip-flops if you are dining at a gastronomic restaurant or a classic brasserie. Dressing well is not just about adhering to dress codes; it is a sign of respect for the establishment and will often result in warmer, more attentive service.
4. Understand the Service Rhythm
Dining in Paris is rarely a rushed affair. Waiters will not bring the check until you ask for it, as the table is yours for the evening. If you are in a hurry to catch a show or a tour, inform your server at the beginning of the meal. Otherwise, relax and embrace the slower pace. Do not be afraid to ask for the "addition" (the bill) when you are ready to leave.
5. Explore the "Neo-Bistro" Scene
While classic French cuisine is essential, some of the most exciting food near the Champs-Élysées is found in modern bistros run by younger chefs. These spots often focus on seasonal, market-driven small plates and natural wines. They offer a more relaxed, energetic atmosphere than the traditional palatial dining rooms and are often where the local food enthusiasts actually choose to eat.
6. Verify Your Location
The area is dense with restaurants, and some have very similar names. Always double-check the exact street address on your map before heading out. A five-minute walk in the wrong direction can make you late for a reservation, and punctuality is highly valued in French dining culture.
The area surrounding the Champs-Élysées is far more than a culinary wasteland for unsuspecting tourists; it is a dynamic district where the old world of French gastronomy collides with the new. By stepping slightly off the beaten path of the main avenue, you unlock a world of exceptional seafood, innovative tasting menus, and historic rooms that have hosted the great minds of the last century. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion or simply refueling after a day of shopping at the flagship stores, the right meal here can be the highlight of your Parisian itinerary.
Take your time to review the options, match the restaurant to the mood of your day, and remember that in this part of Paris, the experience is about more than just the food—it is about the theater, the history, and the sheer joy of dining well. Bon appétit.
