12 Fast Food Spots near the Sacré-Cœur Basilica

Standing on the steps of the Sacré-Cœur Basilica gives you one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in Paris. After climbing the steep streets of Montmartre or navigating the crowded funicular, hunger tends to strike quickly. While the area is famous for its quaint cafés and fine dining terraces, sometimes you simply need a quick, satisfying meal without the wait or the high price tag.

Montmartre’s tourist-heavy center is surrounded by a surprisingly robust selection of fast food options that cater to every craving. Whether you are looking for a classic French baguette sandwich, a halal kebab, or a familiar international burger, the neighborhood delivers. The key is knowing which spots offer the best value and flavor just a short walk from the iconic white domes.

Because this district is a blend of local Parisian life and global tourism, the fast food scene is incredibly diverse. You can find authentic Middle Eastern shawarma joints standing next to French bakeries selling jambon-beurre to go. This variety makes it easy to grab a bite that suits your mood, whether you want to sit on the grass of the Square Louise Michel or eat while walking through the artist-filled Place du Tertre.

Most visitors assume that eating near a major landmark means compromising on quality or overpaying for frozen food. However, several local institutions in the 18th arrondissement have been serving fresh, high-quality fast food for decades. These spots are frequented by locals, which is always a reliable indicator of taste and authenticity.

When exploring the winding cobblestone lanes around the basilica, you will notice that many fast food spots offer excellent "formules" or set menus. These usually include a main item, a side, and a drink for a fixed price, providing excellent value in a neighborhood where sit-down restaurants can be pricey. Taking your food to go allows you to maximize your time sightseeing.

It is also worth noting that many of these eateries stay open late, which is a blessing after watching the sunset from the Parvis du Sacré-Cœur. While traditional French kitchens often close between lunch and dinner, fast food spots usually offer continuous service. This makes them a reliable option for travelers adjusting to different time zones or meal schedules.

To help you navigate the culinary landscape of this historic hilltop, we have compiled a list of the best quick-service restaurants in the vicinity. These selections balance speed, flavor, and proximity to ensure you spend less time waiting in line and more time enjoying the magic of Montmartre.

Enough is enough! This is modern slavery! I live next to this shop, which is located in a very busy tourist area. Well, only 3 people are working at all times. I mean the shop is crowded and the manager is never there also the shop serves tourists as well as Deliveroo. Imagine those employees. All afraid of I don’t know what 😦 this is not acceptable. This shop should close or employ and pay well. My heart sinks for them. Today lunch time, every one where furious because I took too long and the poor lady did her best. But this cannot be a sustainable model nowadays. I will stop ordering there and urge tourists and regular folks to stop as well. This is Paris this is Europe not yours regular Joe Trump land.

Good fried chicken, really liked the chicken pieces which were a good change from the bland tenders and wings of other fried chicken chains. On the other side the branch is super small with maybe 12-14 seats so don't expect to have a seat available. The server was really really kind and attentive.

Tried it for the first time and those were honestly the best fries I’ve ever had. The chicken’s super tasty, and the BBQ sauce is spot on too. Not sure I’d go for the mac and cheese again, but overall, delicious fast food!

Went here twice on my Paris trip and this was the best Popeyes I've ever had! the food was so juicy and fresh. During our second visit yesterday, the man behind the counter was also helpful and friendly and spoke perfect English. We ordered to go, but saw one of the tables free up while waiting and decided to sit in instead and he immediately cleaned the table for us, so nice!
Scott Lentz★★★★☆
Not as fast as I expected. Orders were coming out quick while I was entering my order. Then there was a long delay. The gentlemen at the serving counter seemed to be on the ball and went in back to get things organized again. Food was perfect. I had a spicy fried chicken tender craving and it but the spot. All I wanted was the chicken tenders, but it seems I had to buy a meal with the French fries and a drink. No atmosphere and no space inside, but that was OK - ate my tenders walking down the street.

Guys don’t get fooled by the look of the venue The owner knows what he’s doing! He literally blown my head with an astonishing grec ( doner kebab ) 🥙 And guess what 😂? It’s so cheap to eat there I really recommend you to visit him

My sister and I stumbled upon this fast food place in front of our hotel and we had a cheese and kebab crêpe; it was delicious and very reasonably priced. The owner was very friendly and he had our order done in less than 10 minutes. He even spoke Spanish to us and was very patient taking our order using my broken French 😅 Merci beaucoup, monsieur!

Absolutely amazing experience at Chamas Tacos Montmartre! The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The tacos were perfectly prepared, generous, and very satisfying. The staff were also very friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. The place has a nice vibe, quick service, and it is a great spot to eat in Montmartre. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for tasty food, good portions, and excellent service. Thank you, Chamas Tacos Montmartre — we will definitely come back!

Unique flavor compared to all other French tacos or restaurant, fair prices also compared to others portions. Good variety of options in the menu. Crisp tasty and good looking food. Youth friendly environment nothing fancy or quite. However great for friends hanging out. A good place to grab the perfect meal after Moulin rouge.

"French tacos". Basically a grilled/pressed Mission burrito (cali style-french fries instead of rice, no beans). Fantastic after drinking establishment to soak up all that alcohol. Quite utilitarian in atmosphere but what do you need other than some tables and chairs. Kiosk system to order was super easy even if no English option.
Theodora Petrou★★★★★
Very good food and extremely friendly staff. Definitely recommended ! I hope to come back again one day. They made our stay in Paris truly memorable.

This place has a perfect location, easy walking distance from cafe the Luna. The service was very quick, and they even gave us more napkins when that saw that we needed them - it was very greasy 😏 the typical French tacos, could feed a family of four, there is value in the money. I’m a vegetarian, but I came to eat some of this chicken.

Best French Taco place in town I must say! The range of cheese options and sauce varieties they offer is just amazing. We definitely recommend the unique OTacos! We tried the Rice bowls too and the sauce really elevates the food. I would suggest the spicy one for rice. The french fries here are really good with the dip alongside. They have vegetarian options as well. Everything is quite reasonably priced in the menu. The place was clean and well lit, perfect for groups and families. The interior looks good and the staff were very cordial and helpful. This is the first restaurant we went to, during our Paris trip and it was worthwhile.

Great food, friendly staff, and a nice atmosphere. Really enjoyed my experience here,,,,highly recommended.
Wei Y★★★★★
Trying the French taco for the first time and it did not disappoint. The variety of cheeses they offer is great - including Boursin! In fact, I’d give even them a 6th star, if they can somehow double/triple fry their fries — to give it a slight crunch even in all the sauce. But as is, definitely an enjoyable experience. I also appreciate how friendly the staff was. And I must say, this is the cleanest fast food outlet I’ve ever been too - when it was a bit quiet in between orders/customers, I noticed the staff actually proactively mop the floor to keep things tip top. Would recommend this.
Estiak Ahmed★☆☆☆☆
I’m very disappointed with this order. The tacos had only fries inside veryclittle amount of sauce and they put very little amount of chicken, and the quality was much worse than what I usually get from other O’Tacos locations. It was dry and missing flavor. Please check the preparation quality — this isn’t up to the usual O’Tacos stand

On our way to Montmartre, we stopped there for a quick burger and were not disappointed 🙂 a special shout out to their specialty the pastrami burger, quite tasty ! Only downside was the crowds of tourists passing by

This place is by far one of the best burger places! I almost thought we were back in the states! The burger and hot dog were amazing! Definitely can’t recommend this place enough. I was surprised that there wasn’t more people in here. We’ll be returning here if we come back to Paris.
Megan Grandall★★★★★
Yes I was an American that went to an American burger place in France... It was one of the few places open and we figured wth. We were so glad we did! Definitely come here! This was probably one of the best burgers I have had in my life! The fries were excellent too. The service is lacking and it seemed like only two people were working and one disappeared and the other had to pick up the slack. We are also still learning how service really works in France so it may have been a cultural disconnect. But even with that, just go you will not be disappointed. I got the mcFly and my sisters got the bacon cheeseburger, do not expect American level bacon, it was still fantastic though. I don't think you could get a bad burger here.
Sam Saltwell★★★★★
If you’re strolling around Montmartre and have a burger or hot dog craving this is where you want to go. Seriously delicious food alongside playful decor and fast service, it’s a true guilty pleasure. Also love the extra touches like faux-newspaper wrapping paper and crispy skin-on fries. If you found my review or photos helpful, please leave a quick thumbs up 👍 Thank you!

Conveniently located McDonald’s in the north of Paris, close to public transportation. The food was quick to come out but unfortunately, the quick service meant the food was not the best. It was still edible and cheap. But the fries were rather soggy and the burger was squished in the packaging. There was also no table service, despite the kiosk machines needing a table number if you fancy eating in. Can be confusing. 6/10 decent
Sweta Romano★★★★☆
One of the better McDonald’s around. The food has always been tasty here. The restaurant could be cleaner. Most of the staff are friendly but there is one guy who isn’t very friendly at the cash counter. Otherwise okay for a quick meal.

I noticed while I was eating that an employee dropped fries on the floor by accident. Rather than throw them away these were picked up and put in the fryer. I had just finished my meal as I saw this and I'm concerned about food safety. Otherwise, I thought the Naan Kefka sandwich had was good and the price was very reasonable. I just feel uncomfortable giving above a star based on I what I had seen with the fries.

This is the best restaurant in Paris. You will get your moneys worth and it’s the lowest around. I had the tacos XL with everything and it calling it a taco does not do it justice. Before coming to France 🇫🇷 a lot of friends told me that you must try their McDonal’s and I was like OK let’s try this so I did a lot of research about what food item I should buy from in a lot of people recommend their chicken nuggets and chicken wings ☺️ I left it untouched for 30 mins, its still crispy on the outside for chicken nuggets and for the chicken wings is very juicy and tender. I love their chicken nugget sauce. If you are going to try their McDonald’s, I do recommend it.
George Henry Turner★★★★☆
A reliable McDonald’s branch for a quick and familiar meal. The location is convenient and the service is generally efficient, making it a practical stop when you need something fast. Orders are usually prepared quickly and the food quality is consistent with what you would expect from the brand. The restaurant is fairly spacious, with a comfortable seating area for both quick bites and short breaks. It can get busy during peak hours, but the staff handle the flow quite well and the ordering kiosks help keep things moving. Overall, a solid spot for a quick burger and fries when you’re in the area.

Here is always a backup plan for an hungry moment, the kids meal looks so interesting so we ordered it for the first time and it turned out a total surprise, the combination is good, soft drink, fries, burger, ice cream and toys. Potato wedges tastes much better than regular fries, burger is fair but the ice cream is so fun, no more sticky hands and stains on clothes, you just need to squeeze and the ice cream will come right up to your mouth.

Tastes exactly like McDonalds so if you’re an American here to compare and contrast Mcdonald’s from home vs. Mcdonald’s from Paris just know that they taste exactly the same lol The presentation was much cleaner and not as messy than Mcdonald’s from America though. I will say however the burgers do look a bit smaller than Americas. We hardly ever go to Mcdonald’s but thought it’d be fun to try lol besides it was nice to have a place to use the restroom.

Practical Tips for Grabbing Fast Food Near Sacré-Cœur

Navigating the food scene in a high-traffic tourist area requires a bit of strategy to ensure you get the best meal possible. While the options listed above are all excellent choices, knowing how to approach your meal can significantly enhance your experience. Here are some expert tips to help you eat like a local and avoid common pitfalls when grabbing a quick bite near the basilica.

Be Wary of the "Tourist Trap" Menus. The streets directly adjacent to the basilica, particularly around Place du Tertre and the funicular exit, often have inflated prices. Walk just two or three blocks down the hill towards Rue des Abbesses or Rue Caulaincourt, and you will find the same quality of food for significantly less money.

Check for the "Formule" or Set Menu. Most French fast food spots and bakeries offer a lunchtime special that includes a sandwich, a drink, and a dessert or side. Ordering this combo is almost always cheaper than buying items individually and gives you a true taste of how Parisians eat lunch on a budget.

Embrace the Kebab Culture. Paris is famous for its high-quality "kebab" shops, which are often a fusion of Turkish, Lebanese, and French culinary styles. Unlike generic fast food chains, these spots usually grill their meat fresh and offer a variety of house-made sauces. They are perfect for a hearty meal after walking up the hill.

Consider a Picnic at Square Louise Michel. The park located directly below the Sacré-Cœur offers a stunning view of the basilica. Instead of eating on a crowded curb, grab your sandwich or burger to go and walk down the steps to the park. It is a much more relaxing and scenic dining experience.

Watch Your Belongings. The area around Sacré-Cœur is one of the most touristic spots in Europe, and pickpockets are known to operate in crowded food lines and terraces. Keep your phone and wallet in your front pockets, and do not hang your bag on the back of your chair if you choose to sit inside a fast food restaurant.

The area surrounding the Sacré-Cœur is a feast for the senses, and your dining experience should be no exception. By stepping slightly off the main tourist track and choosing one of these quality fast food spots, you can enjoy a delicious meal that respects both your schedule and your wallet. The energy of Montmartre is best experienced with a full stomach and a spirit of adventure.

Whether you are fueling up before exploring the local vineyards of Clos Montmartre or winding down after a visit to the Musée de Montmartre, a quick bite here is part of the authentic Parisian experience. So grab your food, find a scenic step to sit on, and soak in the unforgettable atmosphere of the highest point in the city.
