12 Family-Friendly Hotels near the Louvre Museum

Planning a trip to Paris with children often feels like solving a complex puzzle. You want to be in the heart of the action, steps away from the iconic glass pyramids of the Louvre, yet you also need a sanctuary where the kids can decompress after a day of navigating marble halls and cobblestone streets. The noise of the city is thrilling, but a good night’s sleep is non-negotiable when traveling with little ones.

The neighborhood surrounding the Louvre, primarily the 1st and 2nd arrondissements, offers a surprisingly diverse range of accommodations suited for families. While the area is known for luxury boutiques and high-end fashion, it also hides spacious suites, connecting rooms, and hotels with amenities specifically designed to delight younger guests. The key is knowing where to look and what to prioritize before you book.

Staying near the Louvre means you can easily pop back to the hotel for a midday nap or to drop off heavy shopping bags before continuing your sightseeing. You are also within walking distance of the Tuileries Garden, a perfect spot for letting kids run free near the duck ponds and carnival rides. The proximity to the Palais Royal and the Seine River creates a playground of history right outside your lobby door.

When selecting a family-friendly hotel in this district, space is the ultimate luxury. Parisian hotel rooms are famously compact, so looking for properties that offer family rooms, interconnecting suites, or apartment-style living is essential. A few extra square meters can mean the difference between a stressful trip and a relaxing vacation when you are managing strollers, luggage, and jet-lagged toddlers.

Beyond square footage, the best family hotels in this area understand the nuances of traveling with children. This includes offering cribs that are actually comfortable, high chairs in the breakfast room, and concierge teams who know which restaurants won’t frown at a child coloring on the placemat. Some even provide welcome gifts, kid-sized bathrobes, or in-room gaming consoles to make the stay feel special.

Choosing the right base camp allows you to explore the Louvre without feeling rushed. Whether you are visiting the Mona Lisa or hunting for the Egyptian mummies, knowing your hotel is a short walk away reduces the pressure on young travelers. It allows you to embrace a slower pace, turning a museum visit into a series of short, engaging adventures rather than a marathon.

To help you narrow down the options, we have curated a list of the most accommodating properties in the area. These selections are based on room configurations, family-focused amenities, and proximity to the museum’s main entrance.

Amazing stay at Relais Du Louvre! The customer service was exceptional, everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The rooms were beautiful with a charming boutique feel, and everything was clean and well maintained. The elevator was surprisingly great (a nice bonus in Paris!), and the air conditioning worked phenomenally, which made our stay very comfortable. The location is fantastic and made it easy to explore the city. The only minor downside was that the shower was a bit small, but it certainly didn’t take away from the overall experience. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return!

We stayed here in the summer of 2023 and It keeps recurring to me how well this hotel established our stay, and set the stage for a wonderful vacation week in Paris. We travelled as a family of four. The hotel facility was lovely- it did not appear corporate; rather it was a smaller hotel with great personalized service. The breakfast baskets in the morning were high quality and adorable. The accommodations were both modern and traditional, and well planned. But what I most remember were the lovely staff at the front desk. They were so dedicated to helping us plan our week- it felt like they were constantly at work to make sure we were able to enjoy ourselves both in the hotel, and with the activities we planned. The warmth of their dedication to their guests was so meaningful to us, and really filled us with happiness an made our trip special. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

First time in Paris and this tiny hotel located right next to the Louvre with the Eiffel tower visible just several steps towards the Seine, an old cathedral adjacent and visible from our window. Great personal service in this cozy hotel where your are always personally greeted. The windows open to the fresh air. While there is traffic along the Seine, the rooms itself is usually quiet even with the windows open and you are not blasted by the sounds of traffic. Breakfast, which is extra at $16€ per person is delivered to your room. It was delicious with the usual croissants, baguette, optimal yogurt, choice of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, and fresh squeezed juice. Turns out there was too much food for us to eat. Conveniently located right next to the Point Neuf metro station and easily walkable from Les Halles station which connects to the Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG) via the rail (RER). Took us about 1 hour to slowly walk to the Eiffel tower with plenty of stops along the way. The room was spacious enough for the two of us and our 10 year old child. The building itself is rather old but this adds to the charm and there are no visible deficiencies.

Boutique Historic Hotel in the 1st, walk around the corner and you're at the Louvre or the Pont Neuf bridge, Metro and bus also. Walk to the Isle & Notre Dame. I love the view of the rooftops out the window, which not only has a privacy shade but also a Blackout Shade in case you want to sleep in. The Hotel Site has pictures of the bedside and the non-working fireplace which is a nice aesthetic however I thought I would add the other views of the room that I enjoyed. The benefit of the elevator is terrific and it fit my husband myself and our 2 carry on suitcases, we also enjoyed taking the stairs a couple times even if we were on the 6th floor- I love a circular staircase. Room 62 fantastic. has to be the best location and well worth the price. If you have a morning breakfast it's wonderful in your room to have time to get ready and then go out for the day. There's actually enough croissant or bread and ham and cheese to take yourself a little snack for the day. The only negative for room 62 would be if you have some mobility issue and can't step into a high bathtub. The bath has the European shower and half glass. the private toilet area is very nice with the built-in bidet and heated seat. Very nice on a cold morning. The people are so wonderful and helpful it makes the perfect location even better.
Jeff Savarino★★★★★
Located right across the street from the louvre. Located right near the metro, walking distance to many attractions such as the Seine and the Eiffel Tower. The rooms are comfortable albeit on the tighter side (standard European room). I can’t say enough positive things about the staff. They are accommodating, kind, and lovely to interact with. They truly do go above and beyond making us feel welcome and ensuring that we enjoy our stay with them.

Such a fun way for 4 people to share a room. Really friendly staff who helped with our early check in and making us feel welcome, and same with checking out and offering to hold our luggage for the day. There was also a free mini bar included and roof windows for ventilation. The location is excellent with the louvre only 10 minutes away and lots of cafes and restaurants surrounding it. All for a very reasonable price too. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel was great! The location was optimal especially for a first timer in Paris. Super close to the metro and the Louvre/champs elysee ! Rooms are a little on the smaller side but was still manageable.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The location was extremely convenient for our itinerary. Most major attractions, including the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, and the Pantheon, were around €15 by Uber, while the Louvre and Palais Garnier were within walking distance. The atmosphere of the hotel was comfortable and relaxing. We stayed in a deluxe room, which offered enough space even though we had an extra suitcase for our pre-wedding photoshoot, including a wedding gown and evening dresses. Considering the price, the amenities were very satisfactory, including the hairdryer and WiFi. The room was also very clean, and we did not experience any noise issues during our stay. The highlight, however, was the hotel staff. They were extremely helpful, kind, and responsive throughout our stay. They were also willing to assist us via WhatsApp, which made communication much easier and removed any language barrier. This was especially valuable, as communication in French had been one of the more challenging parts of our trip. Overall, I would certainly choose this hotel again if I return.

Fantastic stay at the Lion d’Or Louvre! The location is perfect for exploring Paris, and the room was spotless and very comfortable. A special shout-out to the night staff, they were truly exceptional, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Their kindness made my stay even better. I would definitely come back!

The hotel is at great location. Great breakfast. Nice staff. Only situation is that the air conditioner never worked. We were lucky enough that only one day was hot and employees just recommend to open the windows. They Didn’t do anything to make air conditioner work in 10 days. In these days (june-july 26) would be impossible to stay in that room. Take that in account if you go in summer.
Leo Rocha★☆☆☆☆
Booked through Booking.com expecting the room shown in the photos. What we got was a box with a fan on a 33-degree day, zero mention of no air conditioning at check-in, and zero action after complaining to reception twice. The staff played dumb the whole time, pretending nothing was wrong so they wouldn’t have to deal with it. When we pushed harder, the first receptionist claimed the entire hotel had no AC. That was a lie. A second receptionist later admitted it was our room only. Meanwhile, the reception desk itself was perfectly air conditioned. We paid full price for a room that wasn’t fit for the conditions, with staff who lied to our faces rather than fix the problem. The photos are heavily edited. The rooms are small. Before you book: call ahead and confirm your room has AC. Don’t trust the listing. Don’t trust the photos. And if you need basic comfort in a Paris heatwave, look elsewhere.

Great location but the queen room we got was very small for two people. We only have carry-on baggage so expect to be tight for space if you have any large suitcases. Area felt very safe, easy to get around with metro nearby, lots of asian restaurants around. Breakfast was not worth the 17 euros per person but in a pinch before heading out was handy, we paid for the convenience of breakfast I guess. Just meh for a fairly expensive stay for our 2 nights there.

We stayed for 4 days 3 years ago. Staff went out of their way to help us with Ubers, information etc. Room was very small but clean. Sufficient breakfast buffet provided., enough to get the morning started. I would love to return if I could.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The location is excellent—you can easily reach all the main attractions either on foot or by bicycle. The front desk staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful. Our room and bathroom were quite spacious. A huge plus was the smart TV, which allowed us to watch YouTube and stream shows online—a great feature that not many hotels offer. We didn’t need to use the air conditioning, as we happened to leave just as the hot weather kicked in. I’m already missing those beautiful evening strolls along the Seine! :)"

Spent 10 nights there in April. Wish we had discovered this hotel sooner. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Room was clean and quiet. Location was so convenient to where we wanted to explore. I really hope to return.

Hello, We (my sister and I) had a delightful stay. The room was lovely (the refrigerator did not keep our cokes cold), the bathroom was great, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The physical location was close to shopping, several local cafes, and local transportation options. The staff was lovely!🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞 My only complaint was that the room faced the street and the last evening the room was warmer than I'd like. I had the window open and at 12AM it was still rather loud outside, so I had to close the windows to get some rest for my early departure. I realize that this is out of your control, but I felt it important to mention.
Zina L★★★★★
This hotel was perfect. We stayed 2 nights but are already planning a return trip. The room and bathroom were large and comfortable. There is a small elevator. Our room’s ac was powerful although we were not in Paris for the heatwave thankfully. Great location, walkable anywhere really, with a ton of restaurants nearby. Friendly front desk folks.
Jim Durgin★★★★★
Good location, close to popular tourist sites such as the Louvre, Notre Dame, etc. Staff was very nice and friendly and the hotel was clean. Elevator (Lift) was small, so something to consider if you require an elevator. Since we were on the 3rd floor, the stairs were manageable when we didn't have to carry luggage.

The room was very comfortable and clean. Plenty of space to hang up your clothes, a kettle in the room made it nice to make a coffee in the morning. It was nice to open up the French doors and get fresh air in and to watch the early morning foot traffic as they left for work. It felt like you were part of the community.

Staff where amazing. Could not fault. bottled Water always on hand for free. Fam in room if needed. Room was small but had a balcony. Little outdated in decor in places. But satisfied needs. But clean and maintenence good. Didnt get breakfast.so cant comment on that. Local food Korean style in area. Little too far out for us location wise. For the money we paid was good. Small hotel . Fully working lift. Spiral stairs. Wouldn't stay again jusy due to location for us. But would recommend for anyone on a budget

I chose this hotel because I was drawn to the fact that Baudelaire once stayed here during his early, lesser-known years. From the balcony of my classic-style room, I could even see the National Library — a wonderful setting for anyone who loves literature. The neighborhood is full of charming cafés, restaurants, and boutiques, and the location is fantastic. The Louvre Museum, the Opéra Garnier, and the Palais-Royal are all about a 10-minute walk away. I truly enjoyed staying in such an inspiring and convenient area. That said, I wouldn’t recommend having high expectations for the breakfast😅
Josh Edwards★★★★★
Hotel Baudelaire is conveniently located just north of the Louvre near several metro stops that can get you across the city! The staff are incredible, every single one was very helpful spoke great English and were very accommodating of my poor French attempts (Merci!). The beds were firm. The showers had excellent water pressure, and it was a wonderful base of operations for our week long trip! Thank you to the staff for helping make Paris magical for my wife and our friends!
Quietly Rated★★★★★
Hotel Baudelaire Opéra is a solid choice if you’re looking for a well-located, no-frills stay in Paris. As a three-star hotel, it offers good value for money, with decent rooms that are generally clean, even if not perfect. The location is convenient, and the service stands out as particularly friendly and welcoming, making the overall experience easy and comfortable. A reliable option if you want something simple that does the job well. Quietly rated: worth stopping.

Amazing location. Nice rooms. AC worked well once we figured out how to turn it on. Only problem was our door kept unlocking randomly - luckily nothing was taken but we came back twice to our room door ajar.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Our room was spacious with plenty of room to relax. It was very quiet. We were right next to the lobby with only one flight of stairs to manage. No elevator. They don't have a place for breakfast, but you can purchase a bag breakfast with pastry and yogurt that is delivered to your room. Very cute. It was located in a great neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants. It is close to many tourist sights. We could easily get a taxi on the corner. I would definitely book this hotel again.

There is no elevator in this hotel. At check-in, the staff told me they would help carry my luggage, so I agreed to stay. However, in the morning when I asked for help, a different staff member refused and told me to carry it myself, in a very rude manner. If assistance with luggage cannot be consistently provided, this should be clearly explained in advance. The inconsistent information and unfriendly attitude were disappointing, especially at the end of my stay.

This place was absolutely amazing! The staff here are really nice and inviting. The location was excellent, within walking distance of a lot of major attractions.
Ram Kumar★★★★★
Great and safe location andbut the room and bathroom were quite small — likely the maximum possible size given the building's structure. There’s no elevator, which could be challenging for guests with heavy luggage. That said, the receptionist kindly offered to help with mine, which I appreciated, even though I chose to carry it myself. The staff are friendly and helpful. Upon request, they provided an iron and ironing board, which was convenient.

We picked the Dauphine Saint Germain hotel based upon its location and reasonable price - so glad we made that choice! First, the hotel is in the heart of the Left Bank with the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Musée d'Orsay, Latin Quarter, and Luxembourge Garden all within a short walk. Saint Germain is a happening street, lively until the wee hours. Our clean room faced the courtyard, thus extremely quiet and peaceful. This was important to us after the chaos of the city. All members of the staff were kind and helpful. Example: We asked to check in very early (before noon). They couldn't promise, of course, yet our room was available when we arrived - outstanding! The hotel had a cozy bar which is open 24/7 where we could chat with other guests. We highly recommend this hotel.
Ruth Le Mounier★★★★★
Amazing stay in January at the Hotel Dauphine. Staff are attentive and available, competent and courteous. They were always available to answer questions. Rooms are clean and bathrooms recently remodeled. Breakfast is high quality and has some hot offerings which is rare for a smaller hotel. One of the best things about this hotel is the location. You can reach multiple museums and monuments on foot quickly. Neighborhood restaurants are historic and delicious. Great for people wanting to hit tourist attractions but also get some of the local shopping and cafe lifestyle.
Joanna Vasquez★★★★☆
We are so happy we booked this hotel. I was greeted by a lovely concierge who was extremely helpful upon arrival. My room was actually ready early morning and was given the opportunity to check in early! The small twin room was really cute and very in the style of Parisian decor, dark wood beams, exposed, beautiful blue, and white tapestries walls with a French country theme. It had a sitting desk that also housed the television and the teapot. Loved the little detail of the tea pot to make tea in the room, as well as the variety of teas provided. It also had a small wardrobe where I was able to hang up my coats which helped with the organization of the room since it was two of us splitting it. My cousin and I both loved how comfortable the bed was and the beautiful tub. I will say that if you are a person who struggles with stepping in and out of things, maybe the bathrooms aren’t for you, but we loved the tub. The bathroom also had a blow dryer, which was an awesome perk. We saw that they served breakfast every morning although we didn’t try it. It looked like a good mix of pastries, yogurts, fruits, and charcuterie. They do offer hotel guests, free coffee, and water throughout the day, which is another great perk. Also, the location was wonderful. We were about 20-30 minutes walking to many Paris notable places. The street the hotel sits on also has a good choice of restaurants and shops. Overall, I’m very content with this hotel.
Meredith Huffman★★☆☆☆
I checked out today and went back and reviewed what I originally booked. A superior double. I am giving this two stars because our room did not match the photos online. The online pictures had far bigger windows and a larger desk and a larger bathroom. There are a few things that come with an older hotel that is just how it is, not affecting my review: you can hear all intimate details from your neighbors, the shower, and room was small, things a little older. The shower temperature was unable to hold a steady temp and would jump between cold and hot. But for $350 a night there are a few things that could improve the experience for guests. The mattress was cheap and sagged. The pillows were well past their prime, flat and uncomfortable. The shower head was so small it would only get part of you wet, high efficiency larger shower heads is a simple swap. The towels were cheap and scratchy. In the shower itself it was a 3x3 stall with a cheap curtain, it only had a body wash/shampoo combination in a single bottle, no conditioner, no body lotion. I did not raise my concerns with the front desk because these issues are for the managers to solve, not the desk. I liked the location, but would not stay here again.
Savitri Wilder★★★★★
My little Yorkie and myself had a wonderful stay at this hotel. I was travelling solo and the room was more than enough for us. I was on the first floor with view to another building, which was fine because it meant quietness. The room and bathroom was very clean, there is a small refrigerator and also a tea/coffee making station. The hotel is very close to a metro station and different cafes and restaurants. The street stays busy until late and as a solo female traveller, this is a plus. But in general, it’s a nice safe area where you can use public transport or walk to many sites. I would stay here again if in Paris.

Amazing experience here! The staff was so nice and even gave us a room upgrade which was amazing. So many great complimentary amenities, we wish we had been able to stay longer to enjoy them. Location was wonderful too, lots of bakeries, food, cafes and etc nearby within walking distance. We were able to reach the Louvre on foot, and bike to the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower (although we probably could’ve walked as well, but bike is faster). Room was super clean and very comfortable.

The hotel location is perfect, quiet yet close to all. Minutes from the Louvre, musée d'Orsay and many great walk areas w dining and shopping. Fantastic room and totally out of norm amenities (free welcome bar, coffee, quality bath amenities, a working window in the wc). Great AC, TV. But what made it over the top , was the warmth, professional, attentive welcome Delara and Nix provided. How refreshing and exciting. Thank you, thank you.

I had a wonderful stay here and am completely satisfied! This is easily one of the best hotels I've ever experienced. The staff members are both very professional and friendly, making you feel welcome right away. Plus, the location could not be better. A quick note on the breakfast: the buffet area looks a bit small at first glance, but the food is actually surprisingly good and satisfying. I will definitely consider returning if I come to Paris again.
Paulina Tran★★★★★
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It’s the best location close to many delicious restaurants and fun stores not to mention the Louvre. They listened to our requests as we had a baby and made sure we had the most private and quietest room. The room was clean and bedroom comfortable. The only minor issue was slow drainage in the shower but that’s an easy fix. The staff is also really kind and friendly especially during the evening shifts. If you have a baby I would highly recommend this hotel.

Our stay at Hotel Molière was brief yet truly delightful. From the moment we arrived, the front desk team provided a warm and welcoming experience, ensuring a seamless check-in process. The level of service throughout our stay was impeccable. The hotel’s facilities were excellent, particularly the steam room and sauna, which added an extra level of comfort and relaxation. Its location is also ideal—conveniently situated just steps from the Louvre, making it perfect for exploring Paris. My husband and I would like to extend our sincere thanks to the entire Molière team, with special appreciation to Anang, Nick, and Fabien for their outstanding hospitality and for making our stay so smooth and enjoyable. We look forward to returning on our next visit to Paris.

**Exceptional service at Malte Astotel** We had a wonderful stay at Malte Astotel. After arriving early from the United States, we asked whether an early check-in might be possible, and the team kindly accommodated us—something we greatly appreciated after a long flight. Angela and Fabio at the front desk were exceptional. Angela checked us in with genuine warmth and patience, took time to explain Paris and offer helpful advice for our visit, brought our luggage, and personally showed us to our room. Both Angela and Fabio made us feel welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. When we mentioned that our room felt a little small, the hotel immediately offered to move us to a larger room. We unfortunately had to decline because we already had timed tickets for the Eiffel Tower, but we truly appreciated how quickly and generously they responded. The breakfast service was equally impressive. Hamady and Fatou did an excellent job serving us: they were attentive, welcoming, and especially thoughtful in accommodating our vegan diet. Their care made breakfast pleasant and easy every morning. This is a four-star hotel, but the personal attention, warmth, and service felt closer to what one might expect from a Ritz-Carlton-level experience. Room size may be something to consider for travelers with substantial luggage or a longer stay, but the outstanding staff and genuine hospitality made a lasting impression. We would gladly stay at Malte Astotel again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paris.
Jenny Barboza★★★★★
Absolutely outstanding! This was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had in Paris. The location is unbeatable—within walking distance of so many attractions, great restaurants, cafés, and shopping. It made exploring the city incredibly easy. The hotel is beautiful, elegant, and impeccably maintained. Our room was spacious, spotless, tastefully decorated, and extremely comfortable. It truly felt like a luxury boutique hotel. One of the highlights of our stay was the complimentary afternoon snacks. They were absolutely delicious and such a wonderful touch after spending the day exploring Paris. It’s a small detail that made a big difference and made us feel genuinely welcomed. The staff was warm, professional, and always happy to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay and will absolutely return on our next visit to Paris. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly located place to stay.

Great place! The hotel is modern, has nice rooms, all stuff speak English very well. Mini bar is complementary and has water and some other non-alcoholic drinks. Also, there is coffee, tea, and pastries downstairs in the breakfast room available at all the time (which is great convenience). I also understood that there are several other Astotel hotels in Paris, so you can walk into any of them to use a bathroom (this is a big convenience for Paris as well). The location is good (you can check Google maps): we were able to walk to Opera and Louvre. There was a minor issue with A/C noise, but this was noticeable only in the bathroom (the bedroom was fine). Would recommend staying there.
Rafi Cohn★★★★★
We had an amazing experience at this hotel and would highly recommend it. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always seemed genuinely happy to help. They paid attention to the little details that made our stay feel special. We were traveling with our two-year-old, and they thoughtfully provided a crib, baby bath, and sleep sack, which made traveling with a toddler so much easier. It was those small touches that really stood out. The complimentary afternoon snack bar with drinks was a wonderful bonus, and the free minibar was another thoughtful perk that added to the overall experience. These little extras made us feel truly cared for and turned a great stay into an exceptional one. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
Maymay★★★★★
welcoming throughout our visit. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and impressively quiet — we could not hear any noise from outside, which made for a very relaxing stay. We were traveling with our toddler and had requested a crib in advance. Everything was perfectly prepared upon arrival, including the crib, blanket, and swaddle, which we really appreciated. The hotel also surprised us with lovely welcome gifts: a water bottle, bag, champagne, and a set of macarons — such a thoughtful touch. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices, and the free snack bar available during the day was extremely convenient. Overall, a fantastic family-friendly hotel in a great location. We would happily stay here again!

I really love this hotel. I have just had a wonderful stay at Hotel Lumen. The location is exceptional, just a short walk from the Louvre and so many of Paris's main attractions, with a host of lovely restaurants and cafes on the doorstep including the iconic Angelina's - A must visit for brunch! But what really made our stay special was the team. Every member of staff was genuinely warm, friendly and welcoming, and the personal touches made us feel like valued guests rather than just another booking. We were celebrating my mum's 70th birthday, and the hotel was the perfect base for a memorable trip. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Special thanks to the extremely friendly and helpful gentleman who was working on reception during our stay. I fully intend to come back and to bring my husband and children for my next stay.

Great location near everything in the 1st arrondissement. A lot of great cafes and food nearby. The rooms are very nice and great views of the streets. We were on the fifth floor and the street noise was normal. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. I would definitely stay here again.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Super location- everything within walking distance, on a relatively quiet street. Really quiet room looking onto the church next door. Had a small suite for 3 people, it was perfect. Great facilities in-room and at reception. Clean, quiet, tasteful. Highly recommend!

I would highly recommend the Hotel Lumen Paris Louvre for your stay in Paris. Everything about our stay was incredible from the knowledgeable helpful staff at the front desk through the housekeeping team. Each day, we received a bottle of cold water in the room. They even had a towel warmer in the bathroom. In the evening, you can relax in the bar attached to the hotel. There are numerous restaurants located within walking distance of the hotel. We were able to walk easily to all of the tourist areas we wanted to see. It is also adjacent to numerous couture venues, such as Gucci, Dior, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, etc. There is also a pharmacy at one end of the block and a very large grocery at the other end. This is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Paris.

This hotel was perfect! We stayed for 3 nights, arriving early on the first day and checked in early which was great. The room overlooked the street with a balcony big enough to go out onto which we loved. The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again

We had a wonderful stay! The location is excellent - right by Boulevard Saint-Germain, feeling very safe, with plenty of restaurants nearby and metro stations within a relatively short walk. The staff was incredibly welcoming and happy to help with any questions. In addition, the rooms were spotless and the air conditioning worked perfectly. We also used the hotel's airport shuttle service, which was a very pleasant and smooth experience. Highly recommended!

We genuinely enjoyed our 4-night stay in Paris—this hotel was even more beautiful in person. The rooms and bathrooms were a great size, and we especially appreciated the rain shower and very comfortable bed. The AC worked well, which made a difference. Daily breakfast was a lovely way to start each morning, and the lobby and dining areas are absolutely beautiful. Every staff member we encountered was kind and helpful. The neighborhood felt safe and was within walking distance to everything we wanted to see—truly a perfect location. We would absolutely recommend this hotel for your stay.

This was a wonderful hotel. Very friendly people working there that were super helpful with whatever questions we had. The location is nice, not on too large a thoroughfare so it wasn't too loud. The AC was working (and works well!) back at the end of May which was great as there was a massive heatwave. They were doing construction down in the pool area but that will be lovely once complete. Breakfast was nice too, though we only opted for it one day. The only downside was the tub was a bit slippery so when stepping in to take a shower I hit my knee on the side, but just something to be careful of! The room was beautiful.

A perfect Paris base for art and culture lovers. We stayed in a Junior Suite with the museum package and breakfast, and it delivered on every front. The location is outstanding and incredibly convenient to both the Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay. We used the museum pass to also visit Napoléon's Tomb at Les Invalides and the Rodin Museum, making the package genuinely excellent value. The hotel itself is lovely in every sense. The famous Les Deux Magots is right around the corner on Boulevard Saint-Germain. The Junior Suite was beautifully appointed with good air conditioning and the kind of room you're happy to return to after a long day on your feet. Breakfast was fabulous, and sets you up for a full day of exploring. The staff deserve a special mention because every one was charming, helpful, and responsive morning or night. They clearly take pride in the guest experience. Their English was perfect and they kindly helped us practice our French. One practical tip: arrange your own airport transfers or just use a French taxi. This is a small footnote to an otherwise wonderful stay. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a beautiful, well-located Paris hotel with genuine warmth and style.

We adore this charming hotel, it is our home away from home in Paris. The location is great. The rooms are comfortable with great lighting, even in the closet. The manager, Patricia and her team greets us like old friends, we are always happy to return. The breakfast is wonderful, from fresh orange juice, to bread & croissants, and my favorite scrambled eggs, especially when Anna makes them. We highly recommend.

This Hotel was a lovely surprise. I arrived in knowing the central location was fantastic. I was greeted by fantastic Reception staff who had me in my room and organised quickly and were able to give me some great local tips. My room was spacious and the kitchenette was unexpected and greatly appreciated. Refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, and dishwasher all included. This helped to keep costs down. The coffee machine was received with joy -yay! They have a hot drinks station downstairs, two different lounge areas, a breakfast room (I opted for no breakfast - I had the kitchen), luggage storage, and they even were giving everyone ice cones on one morning when it was quite hot. The St Germain restaurant precinct is right behind it and you are spoilt for choice of wonderful cafes and restaurants. Pont de Neuf was a 2 minute walk as was the Louvre. I'd 100% stay here again. Fabulous in every way.

We had an outstanding stay at Citadines Saint-Germain-des-Prés Paris in early January 2026. The front desk staff handled a booking complication with professionalism, kindness, and efficiency, ensuring our comfort and a seamless stay in one room for the duration of our visit. We were especially impressed by the hotel’s integrity and professionalism when a family member accidentally left an important bag behind after checkout. The staff quickly secured the item and returned it to us after proper identification, with all contents intact. Exceptional service, prime location, thoughtful amenities, and a truly dedicated team. Highly recommended.

Absolutely not worth €400 per night. The air conditioning barely worked. The room was like a sauna during the day and remained unbearably hot at night, making it impossible to sleep. The front desk acknowledged the issue but could only offer a fan, which simply blew hot air around the room and solved nothing. Both of us felt physically unwell because of it. The bathroom was also unacceptable. The shower head was broken and sprayed water everywhere, making it impossible to shower properly. On top of that, the room layout was terrible. A large wall partition blocked the walking space, so once we opened our luggage, there was hardly any room to move. We reported these problems multiple times, but the hotel failed to provide any effective solution. Paying €400 per night for such poor facilities and service is completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel.

Outstanding accommodation! The staff were really helpful. The location was awesome. There were lots of extras - a laundry, water cooler with sparkling water, ice creams one day! Air con worked fine. We were able to put our push-bikes in our room

I booked two nights at this hotel but left after only one night because the room was not acceptable. The reception itself was okay, but the check-in experience was made uncomfortable by a man in the lobby who repeatedly tried to convince me to join the hotel’s loyalty programme. He kept pressing the point even after I had clearly indicated I was not interested. The main problem was the room. There was a noticeable smell of mould, the carpet felt dirty and unpleasant, and I did not feel comfortable taking my shoes off at any point. The furniture was very worn, and there were signs of poor maintenance, including bubbling paint. The air conditioning also did not work, which made the room hot and uncomfortable. Breakfast was also disappointing. I did not find it to be a good experience and chose to go to a nearby café instead. After one night, I decided I could not stay for the second night and booked another hotel. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel.

Tips for a Smooth Family Stay near the Louvre

Staying in the center of Paris requires a bit of logistical strategy, especially when navigating one of the world’s busiest tourist hubs with children. The right preparation can turn a good hotel stay into a great one. By focusing on timing, meal planning, and understanding the local geography, you can significantly reduce the stress often associated with big-city travel.

Book Connecting Rooms Early – Family rooms and connecting suites are the first to sell out, especially during school holidays and peak seasons. Do not rely on a standard room with a rollaway bed if you have light sleepers. Confirm directly with the hotel that the connecting door is guaranteed, not just requested, to ensure privacy and quiet for naps.

Leverage the Hotel Concierge for Tickets – The Louvre can have massive lines, even with a reservation. Ask your hotel’s concierge about the best entrance points for families or if they can assist with "skip-the-line" tickets. They often have insider knowledge on the quietest times of day to enter the pyramid, saving you from standing in the sun with impatient children.

Plan for Breakfast Logistics – While a hotel breakfast is convenient, it can be expensive for a family. Look for hotels that offer free breakfast for kids under a certain age, or skip the buffet and walk to a nearby boulangerie for fresh croissants and juice. This saves money and allows the kids to experience a local Parisian morning ritual.

Utilize the Tuileries Garden as an Extension of Your Room – Since hotel rooms can feel tight, treat the nearby Tuileries Garden as your backyard. It is the perfect place for an early morning run before the museum opens or an evening picnic. There are playgrounds, a carousel, and plenty of chairs to sit and watch the world go by while the kids burn off energy.

Consider a Room with a Kitchenette – For longer stays or families with picky eaters, apartment-style hotels or suites with a small kitchenette are invaluable. Being able to prepare a simple pasta dinner or store milk and snacks in a refrigerator can save your sanity and your budget. It also allows for a relaxed breakfast in pajamas before facing the Parisian streets.
