Dining in the shadow of the Iron Lady is about more than just grabbing a bite; it is an essential part of the Parisian experience. The 7th and 16th arrondissements, which flank the Champ de Mars, are home to a vibrant culinary scene that ranges from historic brasseries to contemporary neo-bistros.
While this area is notoriously touristy, it also houses some of the most authentic and technically skilled kitchens in the capital. Finding a meal that balances quality, atmosphere, and value in this high-rent district requires local insight.
You want to avoid the overpriced tourist traps that serve pre-frozen food, yet you also want a view or ambiance that reminds you that you are in Paris. The key is knowing which streets to wander down—often just a block or two away from the main esplanade—where the crowds thin out and the quality rises significantly.
The culinary offerings surrounding the Eiffel Tower are surprisingly diverse. Whether you are looking for a quick, buttery croissant before your morning visit, a long leisurely lunch with a glass of Sancerre, or a romantic candlelit dinner after the tower sparkles, the neighborhood has you covered. From classic French onion soup to modern tasting menus, the density of excellent kitchens here is staggering.
However, the proximity to the monument means that reservations are not just recommended; they are often essential, particularly for dinner service. Many of the best rooms are small and intimate, filling up days or even weeks in advance. Walking in without a booking often means settling for a lesser option or waiting in a long queue.
This guide focuses on restaurants that offer a genuine sense of place. We have prioritized establishments that source quality ingredients, maintain consistency, and provide service that makes you feel welcome rather than rushed. These are the spots where locals celebrate anniversaries and where savvy travelers return year after year.
Whether your budget allows for white tablecloths and caviar or you simply need a perfectly executed steak frites, there is a table waiting for you. Here is a curated selection of the best dining options within walking distance of the tower, designed to help you eat well without falling into the common pitfalls of the area.

Surely must be the best view of the Eiffel Tower in the city. An absolutely gorgeous space looking over both the Seine and towards the Eiffel Tower.
Sai was my server and was a treat as a foreigner to recommend local spots and provide amazing service. Highly recommend!
Drinks reasonable with 5 euro shots. I didn’t eat during this visit but will absolutely be back to try the food on my next visit.
Stunning view, great vibes, good music and one of the best venues I’ve been to in Paris.

Lovely setting and the starters and dessert were good. However the duck was quite flavourless and the fries were just warm. Service felt rushed and we had to use our starter cutlery for our mains as well? Went for our wedding anniversary dinner and were a but underwhelmed sadly.

Dining at Francette was one of the highlights of our time in Paris.
The location is simply spectacular, offering breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower and the Seine that create an unforgettable atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Whether for lunch, dinner, or a sunset drink, the setting is among the most beautiful in the city.
The cuisine is refined, creative, and perfectly executed. Every dish showcases high-quality ingredients, elegant presentation, and a modern interpretation of French gastronomy. The seafood selection is particularly impressive, fresh and expertly prepared.
Service is professional, attentive, and polished, striking the perfect balance between efficiency and genuine hospitality. The staff make guests feel welcome while maintaining the sophisticated ambiance that defines the restaurant.
What truly sets Francette apart is its unique combination of exceptional food, outstanding service, and one of the most iconic views in Paris. It manages to feel both chic and relaxed, making it equally suitable for a special celebration or a memorable evening in the French capital.
A remarkable Parisian experience that I would gladly repeat.

The view of the Eiffel Tower and the atmosphere on the boat made this a really nice place to eat.
A special shout out to our waiter, Gregory, who was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. We tried the tempura, which was good, but the crispy chicken with curry sauce was our favorite. We ended up ordering a second serving because we enjoyed it so much. The mussels were also very good, and the fresh guacamole was a nice starter. I wasn’t a fan of the signature duck entrecôte, but overall we had a good meal and would recommend this spot.

Overall a lovely meal, but the service needs a bit of work.
The food itself was brilliant. The portion sizes were excellent and everything was presented beautifully. A big shout out to the kitchen—the quality was top-notch and the dishes came out really quickly.
However, the service was a bit of a letdown. The staff were quite inattentive; I was even given a glass with a sharp, chipped edge, which was a bit dangerous. We had to ask for our drinks several times, and after requesting the dessert menu, we waited so long for someone to take our order that we eventually just gave up and left.
The atmosphere was also a bit odd because of the music. It’s a great location and you expect a proper French vibe, but they were playing American pop music which didn’t fit the setting at all.
Price-wise, we paid €180 for two adults and a child (no alcohol or dessert). For the quality of the food, I’d say that’s a very fair price.
Overall, we had a positive time, but the waitstaff definitely need to be more on the ball!

Visited this restaurant for my birthday and I’m quite the “let’s check google reviews first” before booking restaurants!
Le Bouchon was really amazing…. From the service to the atmosphere and food!
It was a surprise birthday trip from my boyfriend and we were staying round the corner at the Pullman so booked here for dinner.
Highly recommend the Rib Eye steak and the lime meringue pie for dessert.
They sang happy birthday and made it one to remember!

We came for lunch and it was so good we came back for dinner 2 days later. The mussels at lunch were fresh and tender and my husband said his cheeseburger was really good. Even through it was 95 degrees, the onion soup was delicious. We also substituted the filet with the Au Provie. Wonderful dinner for our last night in Paris.

Reserved a table for 7 and were taken care of all night. Had an amazing multi course meal, drinks, and desserts. Couldn't have asked for better service or food; Sofiad was a great waiter and took great care of us. Everything we ordered was fantastic and portion sizes were plentiful.
Highly recommend it! You won't be disappointed!

As the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series, I always enjoy finding classic Paris bistros, and Le Bouchon Parisien was an excellent meal just down the street from the Eiffel Tower.
The restaurant sits in a very cute and walkable neighborhood with that classic Paris atmosphere where you can wander the side streets after dinner and still feel surrounded by cafés and city life.
I ordered the boeuf bourguignon, and it was exactly what I hoped it would be. The rich wine reduction sauce had deep flavor without being overpowering. Ooh la la indeed. Kelly ordered a steak and really enjoyed it as well.
What honestly surprised me most were the potatoes. I have no idea what kind of culinary magic they put into them, but they were incredible and absolutely worth going back for by themselves.
The restaurant has the warm intimate atmosphere that makes Paris bistros feel memorable instead of just functional places to eat. The staff was professional, and the entire experience felt relaxed and very French in the best way.
After spending time in the Eiffel Tower district while working on the Paris Nights Romance Series, I started appreciating how much neighborhood restaurants like this shape the emotional atmosphere of Paris beyond the major tourist landmarks. It is a fantastic Paris bistro and definitely a place I would happily return to.

We had a reservation, but it wasn’t checked. There was a small queue, even though we arrived at 9:00 pm on a Monday.
The food was delicious, and everything was served quickly. The menu was available in English and offers a good selection of traditional French cuisine as well as European-style dishes. The staff spoke English fluently. We were completely satisfied with our experience.

Overrated for a Michelin restaurant.
Pictures are chef’s welcoming dish (crostini with lemon mousse and terrine).
We ordered terrine accompanied by the caramelized onion which was good.
Main course was beef bourguignon that was good, not really any special touch to it in my opinion and rib eye steak with extra (€18) duck foie gras. The steak was very dry and plain to the point that we had to add some flavours from the bourguignon sauce.

Fabulous meal - one our best in Paris! Sea bream was catch of the day and was amazing, beef was so tender, no knife needed. Profiterole SO good - truly everything we had was wonderful and the service was friendly and very (but not too) attentive. Not to mention the fabulous view, you really can’t go wrong with this place.

Getting here isn't straightforward: you enter from a separate side of the tower away from the main entrance, and even arriving early, expect a long line. I'd suggest arriving twenty to thirty minutes before your reservation, factoring in time to find parking if you're driving, and time to locate the right entrance if it's your first visit to the tower.
I've been twice, with quite different experiences. The first visit, gifted by my aunt, was genuinely one of the best meals of my life. I had a cold green pea soup to start, followed by beef tartare that remains, to this day, the best beef tartare I've ever had. Dessert was a choux pastry dessert alongside a yogurt-based dessert, both good. They also serve bread wrapped in a nice leather pouch, a lovely touch, though no, you don't get to keep it.
The second visit, for my husband's birthday, started strong too, smoked salmon and a tomato tart as starters, both well done. But the main course, a fish dish, was disappointing for the price. I cook fish myself, and this was closer to home cooking than I'd expect at this price point, not the exquisite experience I was hoping for after loving the tartare so much the first time. On the plus side, they brought my husband a small birthday cake with a candle, a nice personal touch.
Across both visits, the service was consistently excellent and made the whole meal feel genuinely luxurious, and the Eiffel Tower view while dining is, unsurprisingly, spectacular.
On price, expect to pay around one hundred to one hundred fifty euros per person for a full experience with wine, starter, main, and dessert.
Best for a special occasion where the view and atmosphere matter as much as the food, birthdays, anniversaries, or a one-time splurge while in Paris. I'd recommend it if you have the budget, though be aware quality can vary by dish, the tartare is exceptional, the fish less so.

Extremely NOT worth.
The food only looks good.
Tasted bland and sometimes weird.
Starters only had cold options, both options, the flavour were not balanced.
For main course, the beef I had was dry. The best thing was the mushroom.
Fish was ok but cold.
Dessert was the only thing that felt good to the stomach. Sweet and savoury.
The waiter we had, Gabriel was wonderful and handsome.
The view from window seat was good (for this view you can just buy a overpriced coffe or drink here or next door to chill instead).

My wife and I had a 6:30pm dinner session on July 3 during our vacation in Paris.
Food:
Cold soup is very interesting. It tastes ok. Meat pie is great. Green bean+sunflower seeds tastes really good. The fish is ok. However the veggie came together with the fish seems no flavor. Or it means to be. The ice cream is ok.
Service:
Frankly speaking, the service is disappointing. Our waiter constantly forgot what we ordered. For example, he forgot I ordered Coke, forgot my wife's red wine, provided wrong type of coffee, and forgot pastries. The guy is friendly. But it's not professional.
Atmosphere:
The restaurant is located at a great spot where you can oversee the city. The view is not guaranteed that means you might not sit by the window. We sat close to the window. The view is beautiful.

Dining at Madame Brasserie inside the Eiffel Tower is an experience in itself. The views overlooking Paris are beautiful, and the service throughout our lunch was warm, attentive, and professional, making the meal feel special.
The restaurant offers a **fixed lunch menu**, which includes one starter, one main course, and one dessert. Drinks are charged separately. We ordered one vegetarian menu and one non-vegetarian menu.
One thing that surprised me was the vegetarian starter. It was an **egg salad**. While I personally eat eggs, I don't consider them vegetarian, and many vegetarians don't eat eggs either. It would have been helpful if the restaurant clearly mentioned this or offered an alternative vegetarian starter for guests who don't eat eggs.
That said, the egg salad itself was fresh and well prepared. For the main course, I was served a **risotto**, which was delicious, creamy, and the highlight of my meal. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with the desserts. We were served yogurt-based fruit desserts, and neither of us particularly enjoyed them.
Another thing to be aware of is the photography service. A photographer comes to your table and takes your picture. The photos are nice as souvenirs but are fairly standard and not especially professional. Initially, we were told the printed photo would cost **€20**, but later we were informed that for the same price, we could receive the digital copies by email instead, which was a better option.
### Pros
* Spectacular Eiffel Tower views
* Excellent and attentive service
* Delicious risotto
* Memorable dining experience in a unique location
### Cons
* Vegetarian menu includes eggs without a clear alternative
* Desserts were underwhelming
* Photography service is quite expensive for the quality

The overall experience was good. The price is quite steep for what you actually get. Worth it for the one time visit. The service was excellent; we had the pleasure of being served by Cleme. She was kind and attentive, despite it being a bit busy.

Outstanding food, beautiful atmosphere, and one of the best dining experiences we had in Paris. A perfect restaurant near the Eiffel Tower that we will absolutely visit again.

We wanted an easy casual dinner for Friday evening and this restaurant fit the bill. I heard that it was a bit of a tourist trap but I wanted to go somewhere that had duck confit because that is my husband's favorite dish and that was surprisingly more difficult to find in Paris than I expected.
We made a 7:15 reservation knowing that it would be on the early side for Paris but were fine being seated in a mostly empty restaurant. The service was quick and the food was good. The wine/cocktail selection left a little to be desired but over all this ended up being exactly what we were looking for, a quick and satisfying dinner spot.

Could not have had a nicer evening at La Fontaine de Mars! We had dinner on a Sunday and had the roasted chicken plat du jour and it was absolutely delicious. I will dream about it & those mashed potatoes. Leak starter was also good and the floating island dessert was so fun & tasty. Service was great as well. No complaints.
I know this resturant is close to the Eiffel Tower & that usually means the food won’t good, but this place is an exception. I can’t wait to come back one day!
Reservations can easily be made online.

We didn’t manage to make reservation for a Friday night but we walked-in around 9pm and only waited 10mins to get in. We were seated upstairs, but it was very “warm” even all the windows were slightly open…
The two managers downstairs were nice, but a few other waiters including in the one who served us had the “classic” french attitude, e.g. he took my order wrong, and i had a bite or two to make sure nothing i ordered was there, when clarified, he had no problem to change it back but sarcastically said “but you ate it.”.
We refilled the bread once, when we almost finished the second basket, we were reminded that only the first refill is free, it will be €10 each basket then on. I think its the first time i heard need to pay for bread refill ever since i live across in Europe for years…
When he was cleaning up the table, he spilled a few drops of balsamic on my white jeans, im not sure if he noticed it but i didnt want to make drama, so i didnt say anything but just gave no tips.
Food-wise, foie gras was how it is supposed to be, duck was properly cooked but just there were tendons not removed, chicken was okay. The portion was rather small in general as in the pictures except for the foie gras. And we didn’t manage to try the creme burlee because it’s sold out.

Had reservation here and it was a good move as it got packed minutes after my arrival. Ordered the angus beef, fish and chips, escargot and frog legs. The steak was cooked as requested a pointe and seasoned well, my son enjoyed it and gave it a 4.5 out of 5. The frog legs were well seasoned and tender. The fish felt a bit overcooked. The escargots were cooked with plenty of butter and herbs, they came out excellent. It is not air conditioned, open restaurant, so it gets loud and it’s busy. Disappointed the duck confit was not available anymore. Overall good food and value.

I hadn’t planned to come here, but when I arrived at the restaurant that I’d chosen, it turned out that the kitchen closed three hours before closing time, but Brasserie de la Tour Eiffel was still open and serving food. I had the planche mixte for an appetizer, beef bourguignon for dinner and mi-cuit au chocolat for dessert. Everything was delicious and the server, Sandrine, was lovely. Somehow, she remembered everything I ordered without writing it down and she was very friendly. I see reviews calling it a tourist trap because of the location (right in front of the Eiffel Tower) but it’s a perfectly good place to eat that deserves extra credit for being open for late arrivals since most restaurants in the area stop cooking hours before their listed closing time. I recommend this place if you’re hungry in Paris.

A little Parisian gem near the Eiffel Tower. The coffee was excellent, and the lemon pie was perfect — the crisp meringue on top complemented the smooth lemon cream beautifully. The macarons simply melt in your mouth. The staff were very friendly and charming. A lovely spot for a sweet break — highly recommended!

One of the most uncomfortable restaurant experiences I’ve had in Paris.
When we arrived, we were initially welcomed by a waiter who was polite and ready to seat us. Before he could, a large man who appeared to be the manager interrupted by loudly yelling at both us and the waiter: “I already have four people, OK?” The tone was aggressive and completely unnecessary. We assumed he was stressed and decided to overlook it.
After we sat down, the same man came to take our order. We clearly stated that we wanted food and ordered two portions of fries. When he asked what we wanted to drink, we said water for the moment. At that point, he refused to take our order and loudly told us that if that was all we were ordering, he would make it takeaway only.
We were genuinely confused and asked whether the fries were free and whether he was actually willing to serve us or not. Instead of answering, he walked away, creating an awkward scene in front of other customers.
Thankfully, another waiter came over and handled the situation professionally. He was calm, polite, and clearly trying to repair the damage caused by his colleague. In fact, all the other staff seemed pleasant and professional. The problem was this one individual, who made the entire atmosphere tense and uncomfortable for both customers and employees.
Watching him interact with people, it felt like he was determined to humiliate customers whose order did not meet his personal standards. It was genuinely embarrassing and unnecessary. We left pretty quickly after that with the takeout fries ( he actually messed the order and gave us just one instead of two no salt nor sauce we just trew away half of it later )
If this man is the manager, he is doing a disservice to the restaurant. The other staff deserved much better representation. Experiences like this are exactly why some tourists leave France believing French people are rude and condescending.
Avoid this place if you don’t want to risk being publicly embarrassed for ordering what you want.

Place has amazing food that is very well made French foods. With many of the classics like frog and beef, all of which is better with some of the nicest wine paring. But by far the location and perpendicular view of the Eiffel Tower makes it one of the best restaurants right next to the Eiffel Tower.

They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We ate outside with views of the Eiffel Tower. It was such a great experience! The food was small portions but excellent. We shared a meal but the portion was so small we should habe each gotten a dish. We got dessert which was wonderful. The view...SPECTACULAR.

Literally in the shadow of the Eiffel tower, this restaurant offers a small but worthy selection of starters, mains and desserts that can satisfy even demanding customers. The service is quick and kind and the atmosphere reasonably welcoming but somehow the whole things combined do not manage to overcome the feeling of not being in a special and sophisticated place. The Michelin mention is nevertheless well deserved and the selection of wines includes some important names at a very reasonable price: definitely worth experiencing.
Special mention for the souffle: the real five stars entry in the menu!

Wow, just wow ! A phenomenal food experience and superb service. Our server Fler was exceptional. We booked this place because the menu, the setting, the area just spoke to us ! Its a 3 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower (in which the view was gorgeous and barely anyone around for photos). The food was outstanding! Every single bite was an experience, in the best way ! Fler was sweet, funny and welcome as was the other staff members. We sat inside for our meal and they kept us a spot open so we could tick off our bucket list item of seeing the Eiffel Tower sparkle and the came back to a warming beautiful Hot Chocolate- better than the viral ones on TikTok... this is the place that should be celebrated ! Fler also stood outside with us to help get our Uber right. One of our new favourite places !

My wife and I had a 7 hour layover at CDG so we decided to "swing by Paris" for a couple of hours and have lunch. We chose Amours based on the good reviews and we're so glad we did!
Our server was Thomas, and if I'm being perfectly honest, he was one of the biggest reasons for this 5 star review. What great service! He came out singing, making jokes, and just putting us in such a fantastic mood. He knew the menu perfectly and he gave us great recommendations.
I had the duck confit which was sooooo good! I definitely recommend this dish. It has so much flavor! My wife had the fish and we also had creme brulee, a cheese croissant, some espresso, and a few drinks. Everything was excellent.
The location is great as well. A beautiful side street very close to Champ de Mars. This was literally our only meal in all of France, ever, so I can't say whether the good is authentic French or not, but the other reviews seem to agree that it is. What I can say is that it's very good quality with beautiful presentation, and the staff is top notch!! Very much worth visiting!
Pro Tip: They have an excellent French IPA on tap which was a great bonus.

A fantastic dining experience from start to finish! A huge thank you to our server, Thomas, who went above and beyond to make our afternoon so special. The service was exceptional - he was friendly, attentive, and made us feel incredibly welcome throughout our meal.
The food was delicious, and when we mentioned it was my cousin's birthday, Thomas kindly surprised us by placing a candle in the pizza, which was such a thoughtful touch and made us all smile.
Thank you to Thomas and the rest of the team for your wonderful hospitality. You made our very first meal in Paris one we'll always remember. Highly recommended!

Without a doubt, the best French onion soup I had in Paris! Rich, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and topped with beautifully melted cheese—absolutely delicious.
The service was outstanding: warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The cozy atmosphere made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
If you’re looking for authentic French cuisine and an unforgettable onion soup, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

On my second day in Paris my family and I decided to stop by because the view is beautiful! We were greeted delightedly by Jonathan who was also our waiter. One thing I’ll say is that Jonathan was and is amazing! He was very patient with my family and I, spoke Spanish and English to us. And even educated me on the beautiful French language! The food was also amazing! Such a refreshing experience. My father loved his breakfast so much he wanted seconds but decided not to. If my family and I ever back in Paris we will definitely stop by again! Merci! 🙂

We visited Cafe Fleur for breakfast, and everything about the experience was exceptional. The atmosphere, vibe, ambiance, service, and food were all top-notch. I can honestly say that their omelet is the best I’ve ever had in my life. The coffee was excellent, and everything else we tried was equally delicious.
Highly recommended, and we would love to visit again!

Salim was AWESOME! Serving. Very attentive gave great delicious suggestions as to what entrees we would like and was dead on! Their version of a Pina Cola is far better than in the USA. I greatly enjoyed the linguine in pesto first time having pesto on linguine. DELISH! We sat in the outdoor cafe area and enjoyed the sounds of the street and watching people hurrying to their destinations. Despite all the motion the cafe was chill and relaxed. Was impressed with Le Fleur matched the charm and the magic that is Paris…ask for Salim he will take GREAT care of you

We went here on a recommendation from Rick Steves and it was probably the best meal in Paris we had over the past 8 days. The French duck with orange sauce was succulent, tender and the sauce was so delicious with just a little tang from the citrus. The avocado, salmon and citrus salad was unique and very tasty. The French lamb was tender and delicious as well. Desserts were top notch as well- crisp profiteroles with excellent vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce, and the poached pear with caramel sauce and ice cream was sweet and superb. It was a 3 course prix fixe meal- a great value! Also- the Bordeaux wine choice was wonderful! Do not miss this lovely place- they concentrate on the food quality more than the ambience, so give it a try. You won’t be disappointed!

We only had 2 nights and we are so glad we ate here one. The food is amazing (best salmon I ever had and my husband loved the duck). Warm, friendly service! In the left bank and sooo worth it!
The owner Regis is so engaging and we loved all the drawings customers have made on the walls.
Enjoy!

We had the best evening ever!
First of all the food was amazing.
All Entries were great.
For Mains, the lamb, the duck and the entre cote were all perfectly cooked.
The Crème Brûlée as well as the tarte tartin were delicious and absolutely recommendable.
The Service was outstanding and always mindful. Especially the warmhearted and humorous chef of the bistro.
In terms of atmosphere, we are speechless.
The little hang up paper skatches on the wall from past guests from across the world give a welcoming feeling no matter where you are from. The set up of the tables was great to talk to the other guests. The whole restaurant was really communicative to the guests to both sides of their tables. We meet some amazing people with great conversations!
We can very much recommend this establishment! Thank you very much to the staff, team and chef for this wonderful meal and evening.

They are very helpful to make the reservation on the day. We had snails and onion soup for starter, duck confit and lamp for main, poached pear with salted caramel ice cream for dessert. All are delicious and the poached pear is absolutely a star!!

My husband and I were looking forward to this experience for months and we were regretably disappointed. This was not our first Michelin experience, so we had high expectations. I will end on the high notes, but first the food was beautifuly presented with flavors that were unimpressive and unremarkable. We each ordered the 5 course tasting menu for dinner. From start to finish, we hoped that dishes would become progressively better, but our experience was quite the opposite. We left most of our food on the plates and filled up on the amazing table bread and butter because they were best things about our meal. For the high notes: the service is second to none. From the minute we arrived at the base of the tower, to our elevator ride back down, we were treated with great care, attention, and kindness. The sommelier who served us was spot on with his recommendations and his knowledge was impressive. The atmosphere is lovely and our special access to see the tower from outside the restaurant was appreciated; an experience we will never forget. I will reiterate that we were looking forward to our visit to Jules Verne and expected it to be the highlight of our trip. But from our experience (June 2026), we will not return and do not recommend. Unless, of course, they served only bread, butter, and wine.

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on July 31st and for this occasion, we had reserved a table at the Jules Verne.
We were expecting big ... and it has been way beyond our expectations. From the Valet to all the staff in the restaurant, every single person has been highly professional end extremely kind with us.
We chose the 7 course menu as ... when there, the experience has to be lived 100%.
One dish after the other, we could feel all the different tatstes proposed and feel the construction of the menu: by this I mean, tastes were growing, dish after dish, until we reached a pick, then a plateau before having the deserts. It was truly wisely made and we enjoyed every single bite of it.
And it has been an explosion of tastes,
In addition, we followed the advice of the sommelier and enjoyed a young Chassagne Montrachet 1st cru: a true wonder.
We finished with a surprise (Thanks so much for this), once again being an explosion of tastes ...
Last but not least, for this special occasion, the staff put us on a window table witha view on the city. We could see the light changing, the night arriving and the tower sparkling 3 times.
Overall, we stayed 4 hours in the Jules Verne: 4 hours which felt no time at all and which will remain forever our heads and in our hearts.
Thank you Chef Anton for what you have created.
Thank you staff for your kindness and your professionalism!

A truly unforgettable experience!!! OMG! well worth it if one is prepared for the indulgence (* $1,500++ for two). After all, dining atop the Eiffel Tower is something many would dream of experiencing at least once. I know I was.
We made our reservation nearly three months in advance, which speaks to both the exclusivity and demand of this unique experience.
The breathtaking views, impeccable service, and overall ambiance made the evening exceptionally memorable. While, humorously, we found ourselves a bit hungry an hour later, the experience itself far outweighed that minor detail.
From a culinary perspective, some courses were outstanding, while others were less remarkable. However, we approached the evening with the understanding that it was as much about the experience as it was about the cuisine, and in that regard, it was entirely worthwhile.
I’ll let the visual presentation of the eight-course menu speak for itself.

A truly memorable dining experience at Jules Verne. The service was exceptional throughout the evening—attentive, professional, and warm without ever being intrusive. Every dish was executed at a consistent two-star Michelin level, showcasing precision, balance, and outstanding ingredients. The langoustine course was the standout of the meal and, in my view, worthy of three-star recognition on its own. The wine and Champagne selection is extensive and carefully curated, offering excellent choices for every palate, although prices are undeniably on the higher side. Combined with the unique setting, it all comes together to create a truly special and unforgettable experience. Highly recommended.

Dining at Le Jules Verne was easily the most memorable culinary experience of my life. From the warm reception at the elevator to the final bite, the service was impeccable. We originally booked "À la Cove"—a cozy spot overlooking the tower's machinery—as it was the only seating available on short notice. Tip: Book more than two weeks in advance if you want the main dining room.
However, the staff truly went above and beyond. After I contacted them, they promised to try and move us, and they delivered! We enjoyed appetizers in the cove and moved to a table with a stunning panoramic view of Paris for our mains and dessert. The hospitality here is the gold standard.
Though we intended to have the 5-course menu, we upgraded to the 7-course—a must-do! Chef Frédéric Anton’s langoustine and turbot featured flavor combinations unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. It was a creative, fun, and delicious journey. Le Jules Verne is truly the pinnacle of French culinary art in the world’s most iconic landmark.

Visited for the second time in January and it lived up to the high expectations again! They have a good selection of dishes and drinks, and serve complimentary olives while you wait. The beef stew was a stand out, it tasted so rich and the potato mash was creamy. They do amazing crème brûlée here as well. An intimate atmosphere and can fill up quite fast so I recommend coming when it opens or booking ahead.

Location is very good! Food quality is high (a tourist restaurant but offers delicious meals). The terrine de foie gras and magret de canard to me are the must try! Service is excellent. Will recommend anyone who comes to visit Paris and stays close to tour Eiffel.

We celebrated our 15 year wedding anniversary last night to finish 21 days traveling across Europe and this was a perfect place to celebrate. Another couple in the restaurant was celebrating their 30 year anniversary. Reservations are a must and require a credit card deposit as this is a small intimate refined dining experience that books up quickly. If you placed this restaurant in the Eiffel Tower, you would pay 3-4x the amount for the meals served. The food is refined and executed with absolute precision. Our meal was amazing from beginning to end. The cook, the depth of flavors, the layered textures and the presentation are all on point. From the reactions of those around us I am going to safely say they have their menu dialed in and they know how to deliver quality refined dining each and every day. The front of house service is delivered by one person balancing 12 tables and she does everything from seating, order taking, serving, clearing and she does it quickly, efficiently and ALL with a heart warming smile. The atmosphere is quiet, relaxed, a little snug ... but that might add to the charm of this little oasis. If you are a foodie De la Tour is an absolute must add to your Paris trip. The meal is worth every penny and more for such an amazing meal in Paris and so close to the Eiffel Tower and a plethora of major hotels.

One of our best meals in Paris. This is a very small family owned and operated restaurant. It’s as close to being hosted in a Parisian’s dining room as you can get. Aw
Tips for Dining Near the Eiffel Tower
Choosing the right restaurant is only half the battle; how you approach the meal will significantly impact your experience. The area around the tower operates on a different rhythm than other parts of Paris, driven by the ebb and flow of sightseeing crowds. Here is how to navigate the scene like a local and ensure your meal is memorable for the right reasons.
1). Book Ahead, Especially for Dinner
The demand for tables near the tower is relentless. Do not expect to walk into a top-rated bistro at 8:00 PM and find a seat. Use online reservation platforms or call the restaurant directly a few days in advance. If you are traveling during peak season (May through September), book at least a week out for the most popular spots.
2). Beware of the “Menu Touristique”
Many restaurants directly facing the tower offer a three-course “tourist menu” that looks like a bargain but often uses lower-quality ingredients. Walk a few blocks inward, away from the immediate perimeter of the Champ de Mars. You will find the same price point yields significantly better cooking and wine on streets like Rue Saint-Dominique or Rue Cler.
3). Understand French Service Hours
Kitchens in Paris typically close between lunch and dinner. Most restaurants will stop serving lunch around 2:00 PM or 2:30 PM and will not reopen for dinner until 7:00 PM or 7:30 PM. If you are hungry at 4:00 PM, you will be limited to cafés serving snacks or brasseries with continuous service. Plan your tower visit around these windows.
4). Order the Set Menu (Formule)
For the best value, look for the “Formule” or “Menu du Jour” written on a chalkboard outside. This is a fixed-price menu offering a starter and main, or main and dessert, usually featuring seasonal produce. It is almost always cheaper than ordering à la carte and represents the chef’s freshest work of the day.
5). Check the Dress Code (and Mind Your Belongings)
While very few restaurants near the tower require a jacket and tie, Parisians tend to dress “smart casual.” Avoid athletic wear and flip-flops if you want to blend in. Furthermore, this area is a hotspot for pickpockets, particularly on terraces. Never hang your handbag on the back of your chair; keep it in your lap or between your feet.
The area surrounding the Eiffel Tower offers a microcosm of French gastronomy, from the humblest crêpe stand to the most refined silver service. By venturing just a few steps off the main thoroughfare, you can trade the noise of the crowds for the clink of glasses and the aroma of butter and garlic. The perfect meal here is not just about the food on the plate; it is about the moment when you look up from your wine glass and catch a glimpse of the latticework iron glowing against the night sky.
Take your time, embrace the slower pace of a European meal, and do not be afraid to ask your server for a recommendation. In this neighborhood, the best stories are often found on the menu of a small bistro you stumbled upon by accident. Bon appétit.
