Get the gyoza and the crying angus. My lord! Very good. Nice staff as well.

A bit of a mixed experience, which is a shame because there’s a lot to like here. The food was lovely, the drinks were good and the restaurant itself is a cosy, welcoming space. Unfortunately, the service let the experience down. When we arrived, it took an uncomfortably long time for anyone to acknowledge us, to the point that we were considering leaving. It was a rather awkward start to the evening and didn’t make us feel particularly welcome. As the evening went on, it became apparent that there seemed to be just one person running the front of house on a busy Saturday night. He was clearly doing his best, remained composed throughout and deserves credit for that, but it felt like he was being left to manage far too much on his own. It’s difficult to relax and enjoy an evening when the person serving you is visibly stretched, and we were left feeling more like an inconvenience than guests. I don’t blame him at all, but the restaurant really needs to make sure its staff have the support to deliver the service customers expect. It’s a shame because the food and atmosphere were genuinely good, and I’d happily give it another try. Hopefully, this was just an unfortunate evening rather than the norm.

Came in at 2:10 and read online that they are closed at 2.30pm. Asked the guy if they are still open to take orders and he was very rude. “Not taking any orders” and walked off. Asked if they could do take away . Replied “No” and walked off again . Did not even offer opening hours or asked to come back later when they reopen. Staying in the hotel opposite and was looking forward to some Asian food as reviews and photo look promising . But turned off by the service . Do not go.

Incredibly authentic Thai and Vietnamese food! The dishes are super flavorful, and the portions are huge—delicious and amazing value for money! If you're craving Asian cuisine, this place is an absolute must-try!

Really funky small but perfect restaurant. Counter stools and sit down tables. I had not made a reservation but the kind staff seated us (busy Friday lunchtime). Has the pork cube starter and the khả soup, both were excellent, followed by chicken satay and beef banh mi. The bread was delicious and crispy with ample filling. Could only eat half and has the rest to take away. Lovely staff and super quick service.

Its a great place, nice music very lively atmosphere. But their red thai curry is a big NO, it was not supposed to be sweet but it was and it tasted horrible. Rest i guess the dish tofu with good.

Absolutely incredible Thai food, coming from a country with plenty of Thai food and having been to thailand, this was a nice authentic mix with some western and viet influence. Food was so good even when taking away. Highly recommend the Basil Beef rice.

1. The service is very friendly. They are polite and the restaurant is clean. 2. Their presentation is creative. They give you rice in the shape of a rabbit. Never seen this before. 3. Although their overall taste and flavor is decent, but they miss the basics. Like there's no peanuts in the pad Thai. 4. I would recommend a reservation. We have to wait for an hour or an hour and a half. 5. I did find some egg shells in my dish and what looks like a piece of meat (ordered a vegetarian dish) Overall an average place. I wouldn't go here for an authentic Thai experience. Its OK in a pinch.

Very nice Thai food. Was really delicious and very friendly service.

We had reserved two tables, one with 4 and one with 6 on 7:30pm, one day in advance. However, staff cancelled one of our reservation without asking for clarification (call/mesaage us....). They just assumed we duplicate the reservation. We found that one reservation was declined and placed another reservation, which was 7:45pm, the only available closest to our first table time. Once we arrived, one table was ready at 7:2x. Another was keep waiting until 8:3x, waiting for almost an hour. Why didnt you tell us your restaurant was not ready. Few need to wait in the street for almost an hour. Really disappointed for the services!!!! Foods were nice anyway.

Liked the food presentation (rice in shape of a cat 🥹😻) ant the person serving us was very polite and friendly, the portions are generous, however my dish (pad khi mao beef) was quite plain in terms of taste.

We went yesterday during lunch time, table number 52. The food is ok (a bit too salty and oil), the ravioli are very nice. The staff that received and show us to theway to 2nd floor was a bit rude and having chewing gum in her mouth, her manner is a bit so so. Maybe a part of concept? The staff has a short hair, she served us at the table is very kind and smile.

We are from Arizona, USA visiting Lille several times a year. We decided to try since there always a long line, good reviews and seem popular. We were first in line and first to be seated. After taking orders for 3 or 4 tables for customers who were seated AFTER us, I had to get their attention so we can place our order. 🙁 I observed The girls (waitresses) bringing out food but did not know whom ordered what and mixed up the food for tables. I am Asian, and I can say the flat larger noodles were undercooked, the noddle soup my husband ordered had no flavor even with soy sauce. He did like their meat as they fall off the bone and moist. For the first 15 mins, the music was very very loud and felt as we were at a Club instead of a restaurant. I saw a couple leave the establishment then Someone finally asked them to turned it down. Will we return? Not unless we have to.

The interior is really beautiful and the service is good, however I was a bit disappointed with the food. The portions are generous, but as for my pho, I didn’t get any lime 🍋‍🟩, sprouts or sauces to customize it, and the beef was fully cooked and dipped inside when it arrived (that’s usually the case in most places for pho).

Lovely restaurant with great food! They have a few vegan options which are delicious. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. We visited during the braderie and they let us bring our trolleys in for our meal. Highly recommend the sweet sticky tofu starter.

Absolutely loved my experience at Daehan! The flavors are incredibly authentic, and you can tell they use high-quality ingredients. The Kimchi was some of the best I've ever had, and the staff made us feel so welcome. It’s my new go-to spot for a real taste of Korea. 5 stars!
Hayley Marsh★★★★★
Lovely restaurant with very friendly staff. The food is fresh and very tasty. Good portion sizes with dishes explained. Very good prices, very reasonable. Will be booking again before leaving Lille, thank you 😊 Speaking to a lady on another table, she lived in Korea for a few years and really misses the food, she told me this is really authentic and she often eat here when she want traditional Korean food
SP GC★★★★☆
I went back to dine at this restaurant because my first experience with them was good when they were new. This latest visit has made me dropped the ratings from 5 out of 5 to 4 out of 5. First the food, the dakgangent is saltier during my latest visit and it doesn’t have the good balance of danjjan danjjan (sweet salty) anymore. I’ve got the jaeyulk dosirak as the main and it is still the same standard as before(highly recommended). For the desserts I’ve ordered hotteok despite the insane price for something could probably get for 1/10 of the price in Korea. Would have been ok with the price if it’s good but the hotteok is served cold, probably could use air fryer to heat it up a little before serving and that should allow the fillings to emits more aroma and have that flowing lava of red sugar and nuts. Service was really bad during this visit, was ignored a few times and the overall attitude and vibe was not very welcoming. Nonetheless, if you are looking for a good dosirak or bibimbap in particular I would still recommend them but maybe not for all the rest of dishes they have.

We had a nice experience here. The food was fresh, tasty, and served surprisingly quickly even though one lady was handling everything on her own. She cooked, served, and managed the place with efficiency. The portion sizes were generous and definitely good value for money. We tried the Pad Thai noodles with chicken and the Basil Thai chicken plate. Both dishes were good.

Great place for Thai cuisine. The lady does everything, takes your order, cooks the food, etc. We ordered the Assiette d'assortiments appetizer, the basil duck (Canard sauté au basilic), Margret duck and spicy Cajun chicken. Everything was well prepared and delicious. Only 8 -10 tables, therefore, reservations are required. Excellent Thai Restaurant!

It’s been a while I haven’t experienced this. If you like small family owned, small cosy restaurants with great food, well then I highly recommend. Thank you MOM (name of the lady) for the great food , the great smile, the great service. Everything. I ordered the Tigre Qui Pleure. It was tender, the sauce just great. The rice sauce also perfect. Again, thank you for this experience

Lovely neighbourhood Thai restaurant - absolutely worth the trip. One Thai lady organised table, took orders, served drinks, cooked and served the MOST delicious Thai food. What a champion. If you have not had the Thai Frog Legs... you are missing out! Superb! Highly reccomended. A small restaurant with only a few tables but the energy, friendliness, quality of food and service is very good. It is a 5/5 for us. Thanks to the crew at Ja Ja Bar just up the road for recommending. Merci beacoup.

Great little Thai restaurant. Got there at 7pm and just about had the whole restaurant to ourselves. The chef spoke English well. I had the pad Thai with veggies. It was delicious, a bit salty as there was added salt with the soy sauce. Great assortment of veggies.

There was quite a queue showing its popularity. I am glad that it is open, so ignore some of the comments below that says the place is closed. The food itself is very authentic, but not the best I have tasted, but certainly what you would expect to taste in Asia. I tried the chicken fried rice, the dumplings and the noodles, all authentic but average. Also kudos to the shop when a customer brought his own containers to save on disposable boxes, and the shop happily accommodated it, very eco friendly.

A small but precious gem in Lille. This restaurant sells Beef/chicken/shrimp Noodle soups, Chinese Spring rolls and Jumbo Chinese Dumplings (Jiao Zi). You will not find a similar chinese 'homestyle' food anywhere in a radius of 200 km. Personally would recommend the Beef noodle soup and the Jumbo Dumplings (they are huge).

One of the best little budget friendly restaurants in Lille for authentic Chinese food! Loved the fried rice and the dumplings

Chinese takeaway located in Vauban. The menu list is fairly short with decent prices though (~€6 for a noodle soup). The menu comprises of soup, fried rice, nems and dumplings. I would love to try the dumplings but it only offers pork dumplings. The owner is friendly. Attention!!! They do not accept bank cards.

This place is solid. Excellent kimchi, your indicator that the rest of the menu slaps. It’s clear they use quality ingredients and prepare from scratch. Don’t hesitate, come here for a great, simple, flavorful Korean meal.

We tried yesterday this new restaurant and we absolutely loved it! First of all, the staff are so cool and nice. The place is cozy and you can easily get the Korean vibes when inside. As for the food, we loved it so much! It was my first time trying “ Dorayaki aux Haricots Rouges “ and it was super delicious! Highly recommended ! You need to expect some waiting time as it can get really crowded 🙂
SP GC★★★☆☆
Overall food is ok in taste but the Korean food is not authentic and the service is terrible. We were greeted with a stern tone of “ordering at the counter” when we were entering the shop. Throughout the process of ordering the food the lady at the counter is rude and came across as not professional (same thing later on when she served the food). Luckily another lady in the shop who helped clean & set the table was relatively nicer. We were sitting near the counter so we realized it was really the lady at the counter who’s been constantly rude to all customers. Food wise, I’ll say other than the braised pork rice the rest of them are too expensive for the size of it. The portion is ridiculously small with very little ingredients. Recommend the pork braised rice if you’re visiting this shop.
Diana Hangan★★★★★
The ramen was great, a perfect amount of spicy, and the noodles were also a perfect texture. The korean tea with aloe vera!!!! Oh my God I am still thinking about it! Perfection poured into a cup!

This little teahouse serves a good selection of dishes besides drinks and dessert. Beef with onion was very tasty, the portion was quite big as well. Matcha Bingsu was so delicious, but the crêpe cake doesn't have lots of flavor nor taste.

We tried starter , it is with chicken, shrimp and vetetables, we drink la dix biere, pai thai with shrimp and tried dessert. All of them are so delicious, dessert is a bit different but I like it. Essential Tips for Choosing the Right Asian Restaurant in Lille

To ensure your dining experience is as satisfying as possible, it helps to know what to look for in this diverse culinary landscape. While the list above provides a curated starting point, understanding the nuances of the local scene will help you make the perfect choice for your specific mood, dietary needs, or budget. Whether you are a first-time visitor or a long-time resident looking to branch out, these practical considerations will enhance your meal.

1. Explore the Neighborhoods
Lille’s geography plays a role in its food scene. Vieux-Lille tends to house more upscale, date-night appropriate spots with higher price points, while the areas around Rue Solférino and Wazemmes often hide casual, student-friendly eateries with generous portions and authentic, no-frills cooking. Decide on your vibe before you book.

2. Look Beyond the "Menu Classique"
While many Asian restaurants offer the standard fried rice and sweet-and-sour dishes to appeal to broad tastes, the magic often lies in the chef’s specialties. Look for menus that feature regional dishes, seasonal specials, or handwritten chalkboards. If you see items like Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup) or Okonomiyaki (savory pancakes), you have likely found a place that cares about authenticity.

3. Assess the Freshness of Ingredients
For cuisines like Japanese and Vietnamese, the freshness of herbs, fish, and rice is non-negotiable. A great sushi restaurant will smell clean, never "fishy." For Thai and Vietnamese food, look for vibrant green herbs and crisp vegetables. If the bean sprouts look wilted or the rice is dry, it is a sign that quality control may be lacking.

4. Understand the Service Style
Asian dining culture varies greatly. A traditional ramen shop is designed for quick turnover—you eat and leave, which is perfect for a pre-cinema meal. A Korean BBQ or hot pot restaurant, however, is an event meant to last an hour or more. Align your expectations with the restaurant type to avoid feeling rushed or waiting too long.

5. Check for Dietary Flexibility
Lille’s restaurants are increasingly accommodating dietary restrictions, but it is always wise to call ahead. While Thai and Vietnamese cuisines often use fish sauce, many kitchens are happy to prepare vegetarian or vegan versions upon request. For gluten-free diners, rice noodle dishes (Pho, Pad Thai) are usually a safe bet, but always confirm regarding soy sauce.

As Lille continues to grow as a culinary destination, its Asian restaurants remain a vital part of the city’s identity.
