The capital of the French Riviera is a city that effortlessly combines the glamour of the Côte d’Azur with the authenticity of an old Mediterranean port. It is a place where the deep blue of the Baie des Anges meets the pastel hues of Italianate architecture, creating a backdrop that has inspired artists like Matisse and Chagall.

While many visitors see Nice as a gateway to Monaco or Cannes, the city itself holds a treasure trove of experiences that warrant a much longer stay. From wandering through the labyrinthine alleys of the Old Town to cycling along the famous Promenade des Anglais, the city offers a sensory overload of sights, smells, and tastes.

This guide is designed to move beyond the typical itinerary and uncover the specific attractions that make Nice so unique. Whether you are a history buff, an art lover, a foodie, or simply looking for the best panoramic views, Nice has a deep well of cultural and natural landmarks to explore.

Understanding the layout of the city is key to enjoying it. The coastline provides a natural anchor, while the hills to the north offer breathtaking vantage points. The central areas are highly walkable, allowing you to transition from a bustling market to a quiet, shaded garden within minutes.

We have curated a comprehensive list of the essential stops that define the Niçoise experience. These are the places that tell the story of the city, from its Greek origins to its Belle Époque heyday and its modern-day status as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The collection is great, but not huge - 1.5h should be fine if you stay to watch the documentary. A must if you are interested in dance. However, the museum clearly has a few issues to address. First of all, it should be written on the website that large bags are not allowed, especially if you spend some time getting there - I couldn’t find anything. I understand there are no big lockers inside, but this is a major downside for a national museum that is mainly visited by international tourists. Besides, security checks are overwhelming, especially cause majority of staff don’t speak English and get easily annoyed and irritated, which is problematic in a touristic city like Nice. I understand there are protocols and rules, which I accept, but there are many other ways to arrange the checks in a more effective way so that you don’t have to open your bags twice, for example. Moreover, the lady at the last check was extremely rude. She started to argue with me when I was sharing some thoughts with my partner about the checks - very inappropriate and unprofessional. I am an artist and I've been in museums all over the world, and my experience here has been the weirdest I've ever had. Visitors should be welcomed and supported, not the opposite. The only staff member who was polite and helpful was the one taking care of the bags - she was lovely. The treasure you have there must be shared with as many people as possible, so make visitors experience as good and accessible as it can be!

The neighborhood is nice and the villa itself is pleasant. I don’t dispute Chagall’s importance and contribution to art, but his style is definitely not for everyone. The museum is quite small, basically consisting of one main area with the permanent collection, plus a few side rooms that were closed for restoration. The rest was exhibitions (from what I understood) explaining more about Chagall’s work. I liked that you can use your phone to listen to the audio guide, although the explanations for each painting are quite detailed. If you’re an art lover this place is for you.

We visited this museum in April, which is considered winter season in Nice. It's not yet crowded with tourists. But there was already a line outside. We waited about half an hour. It was a weekday in the morning. An adult ticket costs 10 euros per person. There's a bag search at the ticket office and at the museum entrance. We had to leave our backpacks behind. They also took our water. It's very convenient that you can listen to an audio guide in many languages using the app's screenshot. It helps you understand the meaning of the paintings and the artist's intent. I thought the museum was too small, but that's just my opinion. I asked the security guard if I could buy a ticket online. He told me it wasn't possible. It's easy to get there on foot or by bus. The grounds are beautiful and picturesque. Across the street, there's a beautiful park where you can relax with your family or alone.

Must go place in Nice. I was so impressed to the collection. good explanations for his art work, specially biblical themed arts !!! And very thanks to the kind staffs. One of the staff members knew that I wanted to take a photo in front of a particular painting but couldn’t because it was too crowded. When it became less busy, they even came to find me. I was truly grateful. They explained the stories behind all the paintings so well, and the way the rooms, the building, and everything else were arranged helped me understand Chagall’s works much better. I love love it 💕 you must visit this place if you are art lover and love Chagall’s art..
Caroline Blair★★★☆☆
A member of our group was keen to see Chagall’s work so we walked from the Old Town to the Museum. Totally chaotic and unnecessarily long queue to buy our tickets, then to have bags checked and water bottles removed. This took 45 mins!! The museum is small so our visit was short in reality. The works are well curated, one room is closed.

Best way to explore and admire the Nice town from above is by little hiking, visiting collines du Château, the palace with pretty waterfalls that has been acknowledged by UNESCO as the winter resort town of the French Riviera Peninsula (côte d’azur). Don’t worry for the senior citizens, or if you don’t want to hiking by stairs you can use public ancesseur, but usually it’s very packed with people long queues, you need to be patient. When you reach the top, you will find so many sections, kids friendly playground, many 360 degree view points, historical sculptures, memoir of the victims of terrorist acts, etc.
Thiva Thurailingam★★★★☆
Lovely walk to the falls. Unfortunately, we ended up doing the hike in the middle of the day when the temperature was over 35°C, and the kids had a tough time with the heat. I would recommend doing it in the evening instead. The temperatures are more comfortable, and you'll be rewarded with a beautiful sunset view from the top. Highly recommended! 😊🌅🌿

Super great view a must! If you visit Nice this attraction spot is you can see outlook view point of the port and beach side. Highly recommend!!! To visit. Should spend half day over here and there are walkway down the beach too.

Beautiful, you will get a lot of steps in. I think there are tours available on golf cart trains if you don’t want to climb. There are no clear directions so we had to depend on asking others. It’s worth visiting for sure.

The views at Colline du Château were absolutely breathtaking. Almost every corner was Instagram-worthy, making it such a beautiful place to explore and take photos. We ended up staying for quite a while because of the stunning panoramic views overlooking the Promenade des Anglais, the city, and Port Lympia on the other side. Despite the number of tourists around, the atmosphere still felt serene and peaceful. The combination of nature, fresh air, and relaxing scenery made the whole experience incredibly calming and enjoyable.

Promenade du Paillon was honestly one of the coolest and most beautiful spots I visited in Nice 🇫🇷✨ The atmosphere there at night was absolutely incredible, especially around the illuminated water fountains and reflection pools. Seeing the fountains light up with different colours while the water danced into the air created such an amazing and relaxing vibe. 🌊🌈 What I loved most was how lively and interactive the entire area felt. There were families, tourists, and locals all enjoying the fountains, taking photos, relaxing, and just soaking in the atmosphere. It somehow feels peaceful and energetic at the same time, which made the whole experience unforgettable. The reflections from the lights on the water looked absolutely beautiful at night and made every photo come out amazing. The surrounding architecture, palm trees, gardens, and city lights all come together perfectly to create one of the most scenic spots in Nice. 📸✨ Walking through the park and fountain area felt magical, especially during the evening when everything starts glowing. The sound of the water, warm weather, and overall energy of the city made it one of my favourite places to just stop, relax, and enjoy the moment. Promenade du Paillon completely exceeded my expectations. Beautiful, modern, relaxing, and unforgettable all at once. If you’re visiting Nice, this is absolutely a must see, especially at night when the fountains and lights bring the whole area to life. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip to the French Riviera 🙌🇫🇷🌊

A Huge Plaza very close to the Beach. Amazing place to chill during the evening.

Discovered the park with our 4 little kids , it’s pure paradise both for kids and adults to shelter you from the unbearable afternoon heat . The kids loved the numerous fountains, then moved to the wooden gym-set and lots of other attractions, there are plenty of benches for adults and you may simply rest on the soft grass. There is a lot of greenery , beautiful birds. On the downside, during the weekends the place gets very busy, even overcrowded, and some people smoke right on the grass next to the kids!!! Smoking at such a place must be prohibited!!! We also saw a huge rat passing by the bench;)
Ron Shaull★★★★★
Beautiful, refreshing pedestrian-only greenway stretching for many blocks between the main shopping areas and Old Town. Several playgrounds and water features make it fun for children. Many trees, shrubs, flower gardens, benches and tables make it a relaxing, calm spot to sit and rest, enjoy a picnic lunch or just people-watch.
Lakeisha Williams★★★★★
Strolling through Promenade du Paillon during the holidays feels like stepping into a little winter dream. The lights, festive displays, and sparkling details bring so much charm to the heart of Nice.

While out for a stroll on the promenade during our vacation, we came across this magnificent museum. The first floor is sumptuous, and the following ones are just as beautiful. The artworks are beautifully presented. There is also a temporary exhibition on the top floor

A safe haven from the heat. But that's not all the Villa Masséna is about. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Villa Masséna. The mansion itself is stunning, with beautifully preserved rooms that give a fascinating glimpse into the history and elegance of the French Riviera. The collection of artworks was excellent, and I particularly enjoyed strolling through the peaceful gardens, which are just as impressive as the museum itself. One of the highlights for me was seeing Napoleon's death mask, which was both fascinating and surprisingly moving. It's a unique piece of history that makes the visit even more memorable. Admission costs €10, but I'd highly recommend purchasing the 4-day museum pass for €15 if you plan to visit other museums in Nice, as it offers excellent value. I'm heading to the Musée Matisse next, and Villa Masséna has certainly set a high standard. A wonderful experience that I'd happily recommend to anyone visiting Nice.
Caroline Blair★★★☆☆
On holiday with friends so this museum was part of our museum pass, gardens are peaceful, I was sadly quite disappointed by the interior of the museum. Yes it is a beautiful palace in Nice and has some large piece of contemporary furniture of the time but almost ‘so what’?! All descriptions are in French and whilst I could use google translate, why? I just whizzed through and waited in the garden.
Ayoung Jo★★★★☆
10 euros for the entry per person. It took 1h-ish to do a tour of this museum. Quite nice and interesting to see the history of Nice with paintings and posters and famous mask of Napoleon.
Jochen Wendebaum★★★★★
This is a really well maintained and high quality place in Nice, and worth a visit if you are interested in the history of the city and the building itself. The garden is beautiful, and free to enjoy. The museum itself is not too expensive, and students can enter free.

Also called the Cathedral russe, it is a Russian cathedral hiding near the train station. It's signature onion-shaped domes were great for photos! The inside of the church is not very big, comes with a small shop and a kind lady introducing the products. I highly recommend buying a ticket to the basement exhibition. When I visited, it was on the objects used by the Tsar during WWI. The ceiling of the cellar is magnificent! The lady was very nice too! She showed me the English materials, so I can enjoy the exhibition better! The opening hours on Google Map could be wrong. I visited in early July, Google Map said it's only open in weekends, but when I visited it, it is open! A surprise for me to complete my Riviera trip!! Thank you so much for the lovely experience!

Very unexpected to see in Nice Russian Orthodox Cathedral. It is said that its the biggest Orthodox cathedral in Western Europe, and serve Russian community of Nice and Monaco. Interior is magnificent and if you'll have a chance to listen to the bells play, you'll be amazed. Its all made by bell player on the top of the tower.
archiefromagra★★★★★
Gorgeous cathedral and yes very very orthodox indeed. I was wearing a backless long dress. The lady there gave me a scarf to cover the back to be respectful and I genuinely thank her for not kicking me out instead.
Steven Damalas★★★★☆
An unexpectedly splendid Russian Orthodox Cathedral that looks straight out of Moscow in the middle of Nice. Good, informative tour offered. By the time they are finished telling you about this relative of the Tsar, and that relative of the Tsar, it's a bit difficult to sort out. But the icons and the ornate design are a sight to behold.
Sara Rylott★★★★★
This was truly one of my favourite places when we visited Europe in 2025. We stayed for hours. If you really want to appreciate it plan for two hours and really look at the art. The intricacy of the art was breathtaking. Every piece in the sanctuary and in the basement was a treasure. It was only when we went to Italy that we found out how time consuming the gold leaf process was in art, and it made me appreciate the works in this church even more. And the bunnies are really tame, one let me pet it- although one looked like a Dracula bunny from a story I used to read my kids, so I stayed clear of it just in case.

We visited Colline du Château a couple of weeks ago, and it is an absolute must-do when in Nice! It offers spectacular, 360-degree views overlooking the city and the beautiful water. There are different routes to go up and come down, making the whole exploration feel like a mini-adventure. We took the lift going up (expect a bit of a waiting line) and took the stairs coming down, which was much quicker. There are one or two cafes/refreshment spots on top to grab a quick drink or snack. Very safe and clean environment. There are well-maintained, paid public toilets on-site. Don't miss the waterfall—it's a beautiful hidden gem! The path isn't perfectly straightforward but easy enough to find. There is also a great dedicated play area for infants and kids, making it highly recommended for families.
Steve Bintley★★★★★
A beautiful spot in the city and a must visit for any first time visitors. It’s a bit of a maze climbing the hill and I didn’t find the signposts too helpful, but when you do reach the fountain it’s a great relaxing area, with wonderful views over the city and coast. The fact it remains free to go to the area is great, and the cafes once there are a nice place to recover. It was one of the highlights of my time in the city.
Pranava★★★★★
Although the waterfall itself is man-made, the greenery surrounding it, the views from here and the serenity is something to be protected and cherished.

Travelled up to the museum from the Old Town on the 38 bus, greeted by friendly staff at the museum. Wasn’t too sure what to expect. There is currently a Maurice Denis exhibition showing examples of his work and exploring his life in the 1920s which was well worth the visit. Again we used the museum pass.
Dejana Sabo★★★★★
The Museum of Fine Arts is a small and charming museum where you are welcomed at the front desk by very friendly staff. The current exhibition on Maurice Denis vividly portrays his life during the 1920s. A strong recommendation is to purchase the €15 ticket, which covers admission to 10 museums, including the Museum of Fine Arts. Bonus information: it is possible to leave your belongings (a backpack and a jacket) in a locker and enjoy the exhibition completely unburdened.

this is a lovely space. I'm not really an art 'fan' but was really taken by the belle epoch representations and history.

The playground and facilities are tired, but set in a nice park. We went in August, looking to tire out little one out with a different playground. The splash pad was dry and looked like it hadn’t been used for a while. The playground initially looked good but was a bit tired and depending on what you touched you came away with very rusty hands. The public toilet is free, but had no toilet seat, toilet paper or soap!

Visiting Fontaine du Soleil was honestly one of the highlights of walking through Nice, France 🇫🇷☀️✨ The fountain is absolutely stunning in person and the entire area around it has such an amazing atmosphere. Seeing the massive statue of Apollo standing in the centre surrounded by beautiful fountains and sculptures makes the whole square feel elegant and full of life. The location itself is perfect right in the heart of Nice, surrounded by beautiful architecture, cafés, shops, and the lively energy of the city. It’s one of those places where you naturally stop and take everything in because every direction looks beautiful. During the day, the fountain shines under the sun and at night it becomes even more breathtaking when everything lights up. 🌅📸 One thing I loved most was how lively yet relaxing the atmosphere felt. There were people sitting nearby enjoying the scenery, taking photos, and just soaking in the energy of Nice. The sound of the water combined with the warm weather and palm trees nearby honestly made it feel like the perfect French Riviera experience. 🌴🌊 The details throughout the fountain and statues are incredible too. The artwork and design give the entire square such a grand and elegant feel while still feeling welcoming and peaceful. It’s also an amazing spot for photos because the scenery around the fountain is beautiful from every angle. Fontaine du Soleil completely exceeded my expectations. Beautiful, vibrant, elegant, and unforgettable all at once. It perfectly captures the atmosphere and charm of Nice and is absolutely a must see if you’re visiting the city. It’s the kind of place where you can’t help but stop for a few minutes to take everything in. During the day it looks stunning in the sunshine, and in the evening it’s even more beautiful when the lights come on. What I enjoyed most was the atmosphere. It felt lively without being overwhelming, and there were people relaxing, taking photos, and enjoying the surroundings. Listening to the water while standing among the palm trees in the warm weather really gave me that classic French Riviera feeling. The detail in the fountain and statues is incredible, and no matter where you stand, it’s a great place to take photos. Every angle offers a different view, making it one of the most photogenic spots I visited in Nice. For me, Fontaine du Soleil completely lived up to the hype. It’s beautiful, elegant, full of character, and a place I’d happily visit again. If you’re spending time in Nice, I definitely think it’s worth stopping by. Considering you're so close to the city centre it's quite quiet and calm down and out on the wall. Beautiful views but smells of urine (like many places in Nice - even worse in Marseille) and a few sketchy lurkers of an evening so I'd recommend going only in the daytime

Hands down the best panoramic view in Nice! While most visitors head to the west side for the Promenade des Anglais shot, Panorama Est de la Colline du Château is easily the absolute best panoramic viewpoint in the city. Located on the eastern edge of Castle Hill, it offers a dramatic, sweeping lookout over Port Lympia, Mont Boron, and the endless blue Mediterranean.
Putri Dumadi★★★★★
Speechless it’s a very beautiful view from above looking at the Nice town with blueish coastal landscape

A wonderful spot to see Nice's port from above. Located on the east side of Castle Hill Park, this offers incredible views of the port, the sea, Parc du Mont Boron, and the surrounding cityscape. There is a snack stand, a little convenience store, and toilets close by. The park also features a large meadow and playground just steps away. Walk across the meadow to find Point de vue Colline du Château, which looks over the west side. You can get here by either walking up the hill from the port, or taking an elevator on the Old Town side. I got some of my favorite pics of the city at this spot, so I highly recommend.

The views from Castle Hill (Colline du Château) are absolutely incredible. The panoramic scenery over the Bay of Angels, Old Town, and the harbor is truly breathtaking and gives you a full appreciation of how beautiful the city really is. It’s the perfect spot to slow down, take it all in, and just enjoy the moment. The setting feels peaceful and scenic, with plenty of places to stop and soak in the views. Whether you walk up or take the elevator, it’s absolutely worth the visit. If you’re in Nice, this is a must-see for the views alone.

Panorama Est de la Colline du Château is another lookout point on “Castle Hill” in Nice. It offers views of Nice’s port and of the lighthouse at the entrance of Nice’s port. There are several viewpoints on “Castle Hill”. Highly recommend walking around and seeing more of the hill to learn about Nice and its history.

The Bellanda Tower offers a fantastic panoramic view over Nice, especially of the beautiful beach below. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the sea breeze and take in the stunning coastline. Definitely worth the short climb for the view alone!

One can have free access through the elevators to the top, there was two elevators inside but in a bad quality

The Bellanda Tower is hard to miss when in Nice. Walking along the Promenade d’Anglais towards the port, the Bellanda Tower will be on your left. You can take the stairs up or else for a longer walk that is less steep, walk around the Colline du Chateau. Either way, you’ll get incredible views of Nice and the beach. I highly recommend it at sunset or just before. There is often someone playing live music and the energy is joyful and relaxed. It is an iconic place to stop in Nice to take some pics and to feel accomplished for ascending the stairs. Highly recommend.

Beautiful view and stairs and a lot of tourists and inappropriate street artists.

Tour Bellanda offers an awesome view over Nice and the Mediterranean, and it’s absolutely worth the climb. Once you reach the top, you’re rewarded with sweeping views of the coastline, the city, and the harbor. A simple stop, but one that really delivers.

This is such a fun way to get around the area without having to walk so much and getting lost! On the inside of the train, there are headsets (four per row) that you can wear to listen to a guide talk about the sights you’re visiting; they have eight different languages available. When you arrive at the top of a peak, they give you fifteen minutes to look around and take photos. My only complaint was that the tour wasn’t longer because I had so much fun and really enjoyed myself!

It was an amazing experience.. the guide recording on the bus was very captivating. It talked about the history in a story telling kind of way. The English is very interesting because you can tell it is translated from French. We got to stop at the top of the hill where the chateau is… it was a belle panorama 🙂

We took the 4:20pm train and it was packed. It’s convenient for getting up to Colline du Château without the walk, but you only get about 10 minutes there, which isn’t enough time to really explore. The commentary didn’t always line up, and views were often blocked by buildings or trees. On the way back, we got stuck in 5pm traffic, and with the sun and little wind, it felt very hot and crowded. The ride is also quite bumpy, so I wouldn’t recommend having a young child or toddler sit by the door. Overall, it’s an okay option if you’d rather not walk up the hill.

Great way to see more of Nice if you don't have a lot of time. Commentary was informative and interesting and there's a 10 minute stop to view the waterfall and Nice which is spectacular. Toilets are available but if paying by card the price is €1.50 as opposed to 50c cash

A great way to see Nice. This electric train runs every 20 mins and is nearly an hour long. The commentary is great and you choose your language on the headset. It's very informative and gives you many historical facts about Nice many centuries ago. It is $12 per person to ride and there is a quick break at the viewpoint for 10 mins. The views up here are incredible. We elected not to get back on train for the return journey and instead stayed to enjoy the view and the walk back down to the Promenade. There is only the one stop to get off. The rest of the time you will remain on the train.

It’s lovely obviously. Le Promenade would be one of my favourite places on earth, were it not for the regular stench of urine that wafts at you as you walk along. It’s really quite off-putting. Could the city keep this clean a bit better perhaps, given the amount of people that pass through this area every day?

The Nice beach, located on the French Riviera, is a popular destination known for its blue waters and sunny climate. It stretches along the Promenade des Anglais, providing visitors with a beautiful spot to relax, swim, and enjoy the view of the Mediterranean. We had a memorable evening at the Nice beach. Despite the presence of stones instead of sand, the experience was unique and intriguing. The smooth stones created an interesting texture underfoot and provided a distinctive backdrop against the sparkling waters. While different from the traditional sandy beaches, the stone beach added an unexpected charm to the atmosphere. It was a refreshing change of pace, and we enjoyed exploring the shoreline and finding our cozy spots among the stones. The evening was still enchanting, and the stone beach left us with a one-of-a-kind memory to treasure.

Great place for kids to play and freshen up. Water is open for 15min, then stops for 15min. Open hours are like a normal parc basically all day. There are benches on either side and a water fountain to refill your bottle. All in all really cool. Love to go there with the kids.

I wandered over to the Fontaine Miroir d’Eau on the Promenade du Paillon and it really charmed me. The shallow reflecting pool, with its 128 water jets and soft mist, feels like a calm, interactive artwork in the middle of the city . There’s something almost meditative about watching the water ripple beneath your feet, especially in the evening when lights shimmer across the surface. Families play, lovers linger—the scene is lively yet peaceful. Even though it’s a popular spot, it never felt crowded to me. Plenty of space to stand, reflect—literally and figuratively—and let the gentle ambiance wash over you. A lovely, serene pause on a busy day, and a beautiful way to cool off or just soak in the city’s pace.

A perfect place to take a break from touring through Nice on a hot summer day. The breeze from cold water sprinkling out of the fountain is very refreshing and the view in the evening is just stunning. The best part is it's in the center and you have a lot of places around where you can grab drinks and snacks, and sit there on the bench and enjoy your break with a unique view.
Lavi Shiffman★★★★★
The Miroir d'eau (Water Mirror) is a modern water attraction that has become one of the most prominent landmarks of the city of Nice. On hot summer days, children and adults alike enjoy the geysers of water that emerge from the ground and cool the surroundings. The thin layer of water created in the fountain creates a kind of mirror, hence the name of the fountain.

Tips for Visiting Nice

Navigating a city as layered as Nice requires a bit of local knowledge to avoid tourist traps and maximize your time. While the city is famously welcoming, knowing the nuances of transport, timing, and local etiquette can transform a good trip into a great one. Here are some strategic insights to help you experience the city with ease and confidence.

1). Embrace the “Petit Train” for Orientation

While it may seem touristy, the little tourist train that departs from the Promenade des Anglais is actually a fantastic way to get your bearings on your first day. It takes you up to the Colline du Château (Castle Hill) where the views are unmatched, saving your legs the steep climb and helping you visualize the geography of the Old Town versus the newer districts.

2). Look for the “Menu du Midi” at Lunch

Dining out in Nice can be expensive, especially near the flower market. To eat like a local and save money, look for restaurants offering a “Menu du Midi” or “Formule déjeuner.” These set lunch menus usually include two or three courses at a fraction of the dinner price, allowing you to try authentic Niçoise cuisine like daube or socca without breaking the bank.

3). Validate Your Tram and Bus Tickets

This is a common pitfall for visitors. When you board a tram or bus in Nice, you must validate your ticket by inserting it into the small machine onboard. Failure to do so can result in a hefty fine if controllers board the vehicle, even if you have a valid ticket in your pocket.

4). Respect the Beach Culture (and the Pebbles)

Unlike many coastal cities, the beaches in Nice are composed of smooth grey pebbles, not sand. While beautiful, they can be uncomfortable to walk on. Locals often wear plastic sandals or water shoes to navigate the shore and enter the sea. If you plan to spend a day on a private beach club, book your sunbed in advance during the summer months.

5). Explore the Hinterland by Train

While the coast is stunning, the “Train des Merveilles” offers a spectacular escape into the mountains. If you have an extra day, consider taking the train from Nice to Tende or Breil-sur-Roya. It is a scenic journey that reveals a completely different side of the region, away from the Riviera crowds, showcasing alpine villages and dramatic gorges.

Nice is a city that rewards curiosity. While the iconic landmarks like the Promenade and the Old Town are unmissable, some of the best memories are made simply by sitting in a square with a glass of rosé, watching the world go by. The city’s history is not locked away in museums alone; it is present in the faded frescoes on buildings, the rhythm of the market vendors, and the sound of the waves hitting the pebbled shore.

As you plan your visit, allow for spontaneity. Leave time to get lost in the narrow streets of Vieux Nice, to stumble upon a hidden baroque church, or to take an unplanned dip in the Mediterranean. By combining the structured attractions listed above with the relaxed pace of the Riviera, you will leave with a deep appreciation for why Nice has captivated travelers for centuries.
