We were at Cannes just 2 days before the Great Cannes Festival, so there were barricades everywhere and there was no Red Carpet. But ofcourse it felt amazing to be there and guess, ya that was the spot where the actors were seen posing for photos. Felt amazing!
Dellawati Wijaya★★★★★
The Palais des Festivals is not about polished luxury — it’s about power, presence, and global relevance. Yes, parts of the building feel dated. But that becomes irrelevant the moment you step onto the Croisette side and feel the pulse of the Cannes Film Festival. This is where the world’s most influential voices in film, media, and culture converge — where careers shift, deals close, and stories move from idea to global stage. The iconic red carpet isn’t just a photo moment — it’s a symbol. Being here means you’re in the room where it happens. Come for the energy, the access, and the undeniable sense that something important is always unfolding inside. Not the most beautiful venue — but arguably one of the most powerful.
Kishore★★★★★
Great experience at Palais des Festivals et des Congrès while attending World AI Cannes Festival. The venue is modern, well organized, and perfectly located by the harbor. It’s exciting to be in such an iconic place. Definitely worth a visit when in Cannes!
Efi Kyp★★★★★
Attended the 79th Cannes Film Festival and spent 10 days at the Palais. The venue is well organized despite the huge crowds. One tip that many first-time attendees don’t seem to know: if you already have your QR code and your passport/ID, you can use the self-service badge machines to print and collect your accreditation yourself. On the first day, the badge pickup queues were extremely long, but the self-service kiosks made the process much faster. Definitely worth knowing before you arrive.

The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès is one of the most iconic landmarks in Cannes and a must-see for movie lovers. Standing on the famous red carpet steps and seeing the place where the Cannes Film Festival takes place is a memorable experience. The line to take photos on the steps can be very long, and we waited almost an hour, so plan accordingly if you want that classic Cannes photo. Even with the wait, it was exciting to see such a legendary location connected to so many famous films, actors, and international events. The surrounding area is beautiful, with the harbor, waterfront, and La Croisette nearby, making it a great stop while exploring Cannes.

The Cannes Walk of Fame, located near the Palais des Festivals, is a fun and unique stop for movie lovers visiting the city. Inspired by the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it features handprints and signatures of famous actors, directors, and filmmakers who have been honored during the Cannes Film Festival. It is a great place to walk around, search for your favorite celebrities, and appreciate the connection between Cannes and the world of cinema. While it is not a large attraction, it is a memorable photo stop and a reminder of the city’s role as one of the most important film destinations in the world.

Not sure why expected anything more than hand prints from people I've never met lol. It's worth a little stroll, if your in the area, the other strange part is taking pictures on the red carpet...people were lining up like they were are the post office 🤣
Tomi Valny★★★★☆
After the famous film festival, the hall is going through renovation probably and also the walk of fame is not fully accessible. Only few plaques with hands prints are visible to touch and take a photo with.
Dan & Chris Penrose★★★★★
So much fun walking around the hand prints. Love that you can put your hand in the prints and see how small your hand is compared to some famous celebrities. I did that with Sylvester Stallon. It was a lot of fun.
Sunil Khatri★★★★☆
It was fascinating to see the handprints of some of my all-time favourite movie stars at the Cannes Walk of Fame. Standing there and recognising names you’ve watched on screen for years feels surprisingly special and a bit surreal at the same time. It’s a fun little stop, especially if you love movies and cinema history.

IF YOU ARE A TOURIST READ THIS: IT JUST OPENS ON THE MORNINGS (Usually midday they start packing) A regional place for market, have food somedays, someothers clothes and antiques, not sure about the schedule so I would go everyday if you are in downtown cannes to check, have awesome food that you dont find easilly in many places (Zuca Flower Fried i.e.). The antiques you can find vintage bags and watches (some better than others). On other days really fresh jelly, meat, fish, spices and othes.
Pervin Tekinkus★★★★☆
It is open till noon. You can find fresh vegetables&fruits, herbs, cheese and ham. You can buy food also.

Warning about a seller in front area selling dragon fruits, papaya, mango. He doesn't list prices and charges 30 eur for three small fruits assuming if you're a tourist, taste is not great by the way despite good looks.
Silvia Windy★★★★☆
We arrived in Cannes at 10am and went straight to the Marché for breakfast. It felt so local and authentic to be there, surrounded by the lively market vibe. The only downside was that most stalls only accepted cash, so we had to pause our shopping and walk to the ATM on the corner. Once sorted, we enjoyed two small sandwiches that were super tasty—simple, fresh, and just perfect. A great way to start the day in Cannes! 🥖✨
gegeris jekabs★★★★★
Got there when some of the sellers where packing to go home, so I would recomend to come in the early morning. The fruit i bought were the best i have tasted in France for now. Also the fresh french fries are amazing and about 4eur for a big portion and they make it in front of your eyes.

Well worth the money and a great, easy-going way to see Cannes. The Petit Train tour is well paced and takes you around some of the landmarks giving you a good overview of the city without feeling rushed. There’s also a 10-minute stop at a viewpoint, which was a lovely addition and gives you the chance to get out, take some photos and enjoy the views. The tour lasts roughly an hour, and the information provided through the headphones is available in several different languages. At €15 per adult, we thought it was very reasonably priced. Just for information it’s cash only, but overall, a really enjoyable tour and well worth doing if you’re visiting Cannes.
Alex★☆☆☆☆
Very disappointing experience. The driver was extremely rude and unfriendly, and his behavior toward my wife and 2 year old daughter was very disrespectful. I was traveling with my sick two-year-old daughter and my wife, who could not walk easily, so this put us in a very difficult situation. When I spoke with the manager afterward, he clearly understood our English and responded to us in English, but then stated that he did not speak English. Given the circumstances, this felt intentional and only added to our frustration. The driver might have some personal issues and I don’t blame him as he looked extremely anxious and on the edge, but ideally the company should consider hiring drivers with a better personality
Catrin Elen Francis★★★★★
Great trip. €15 each and cash only but there is an ATM nearby. Took us to all the places we couldn’t be bothered to walk to including a nice view point.
Matt S. Cortesi★★★★★
Great way to see Cannes in a nutshell when here for a short stay. Ticket prices are reasonable and they installed glasses all around the train cabs so even if cold or winds it's well covered. There's a recorded audio-guide for each passenger in 8 languages with music in between attractions. Very satisfied overall, the train accesses pedestrian-only areas that would otherwise require 2-3 days to visit by walk.
Andrew Walton★★★★☆
Nice tour taking you around Cannes. 14 euros per person which was not bad value , ride took about an hour. Headsets available with commentary, which is a little intermittent. If you want to have a look around the city this is a great way.

The sculptures change over time - marine life takes over, but it’s really fun to swim around them. The statues are serving their natural purpose and literally becoming part of the underwater ecosystem🗿
Erik Askvik★★★★★
Clear blue water. Great for snorkeling. Bring a floating device because the statues under water are a bit far from the shore.
Stephan Lukac★★★★★
A hidden gem off the coast of Cannes these sculptures are nestled within the fields of seaweed just a few meters underwater. With the right type of snorkle gear you can admire it from the surface, or the more adventurous can swim next to them and see how coral slowly grows back on the sculpture, becoming a loving work of art. The gallery is in the southern side of the island opposite the fort and also serves as a great beach to enjoy the warm Mediterranean water.
Ed Hoskin★★★★☆
The sculptures are quite covered in barnacles, and quite tricky to find, but the water is beautiful..
Jeong Lee★★★★★
This place is one of the hidden gem of the Cannes region which it still has not much developed though there are good roads to get there after you get dropped off from the ferry. The ferry service was all right considering that it took just 10-15 min. to get the St. Mariguerite Islad from Cannes main land port. It took about 20-25 min. to get to the Sculptures beach by walking but the way was quite well maintained and quite straightforward. It is really not difficult to get there. It is not easy to get a space as this is not meant for a public beach but there are some hidden spaces set by the mother nature - such as underneath of the trees or between the rocks or on the rocks. There are pebbles but be careful it is very slippery when you enter the water. It is recommended to get some aqua shoes. There is no any store near here so it is better to get prepared!! 4.9/5.0 * fantastic, better to rent a yacht than a ferry riding but it depends on the financial situation, don’t we? 🙂

Église Notre-Dame d’Espérance is a beautiful historic church located on Le Suquet hill, the oldest district of Cannes. The church offers a peaceful escape from the busy streets below and features stunning architecture, beautiful stone details, and incredible views over the city, harbor, and Mediterranean from its surroundings. The atmosphere inside is calm and reflective, making it a wonderful place to visit for both its history and its beauty. The walk up through the charming old streets of Le Suquet makes the experience even more memorable.

Église Notre-Dame d’Espérance de Cannes is an old church on the hilltop of Cannes. One has to climb some way stiff. From the top, beautiful views of Cannes city, port and beach can be enjoyed. history. It is a quiet church, ideal for calmness. The architecture is good.
Enjoy life★★★★☆
Iconic church which overlook Cannes' Bay and located in the heart of Le Suquet, it was built in 1627 when the town had barely a thousand inhabitants ... but it was only completed in 1641 ! Its construction lasted over a century and was constantly interrupted by invasions and outbreaks of plague. Since then, it has replaced the former Sainte-Anne Chapel, which was then considered too small and is now part of the Castre Museum. A single nave with four bays flanked by eight side chapels and a semicircular chancel constitute the main part of its mediocre interior decoration. It is particularly distinguished by its entrance portal and its bell tower, erected as an extension of the facade on a postern gate of the old fortified castle walls.
Hassan Aldarbesti★★★★★
Église Notre-Dame d’Espérance in Cannes is a true piece of historic art, standing proudly atop Le Suquet with breathtaking views of the city and sea. The church’s charming architecture and serene atmosphere make it an ideal escape from the bustling streets below. Whether you’re admiring the intricate details of the interior or enjoying the peaceful courtyard, it’s a place where hours pass without even noticing. The tranquil setting makes it perfect for reading, reflecting, or simply taking in the beauty of the surroundings.
Jef★★★★★
Beautiful old church on top of the hill where the origin of Cannes begin. Nowadays a beautiful square with a great view over Cannes. The pines on the square create a welcome shadow on a hot summer day. You can visit the church and/or castle by foot (either walking up the road or taking stairs) but this place is also visited by the tourist train which starts at Palais de Congres.

The Cannes sign is one of the most iconic spots in the city. It’s a beautiful place to visit, take photos, and enjoy the view. A perfect landmark that represents Cannes and a must see for anyone visiting the area.
Sunil Khatri★★★★☆
It’s a great place to enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of Cannes. You really get a different perspective of the city from up here, especially with the coastline and rooftops stretching out below. The climb can be quite steep and a bit tiring, particularly on a sunny day, so it’s best to take it slow and pause when needed. That said, once you reach the top, all the effort feels completely worth it. It’s a lovely spot to spend some time, take photos, and simply enjoy the view.
THE EXPLORER★★★★☆
We took a very long cruise last summer from Venice to Portugal. On NCL. One stop was Cannes. We got off the ship and took a self guided walking tour using google maps and my research. We decided to climb up to see the Cannes Sign and the views which were very nice. The climb is rather steep so go slow.
K. Noble★★★★☆
It’s a nice sign. I just wish it was made further back so you can take a photo in front of it. There isn’t sufficient space to get a photo in front only from behind. The walkway to get there is nicely paved and doable even with children or a stroller. The view is spectacular.
Shruti Sinha★★★★★
Be prepared for a steep climb but it’s worth the view from the top of city of Cannes. We did this early morning early July this year but still was very hot. Amazing views of the city from the top is a bonus as well as the church on the top.

Beautiful place for a visit! The Chateau itself is awesome! The surroundings are full of bars and restaurants, perfect for a weekend lunch. We had a lot of fun at the beach as well.
Hannah Wollmann★★★★★
The Chateau de la Napoule is more than just a beautiful gem along the Côte d'Azur with its wonderland-like gardens and quirky sculptures and carvings throughout. It is a standing love story between Henry and Marie Clews evident from the "Once Upon A Time" etched over an arched doorway to the on-site crypt tower that holds both husband and wife. It is also a fascinating story of Marie's grit when she decided to return alone after Henry's passing to save the Chateau from ruin as she sat though not one, but two world wars here. Knowing the rich history of the Chateau, it is truly like living in a storybook tale and in some ways feels wrong to stay as a guest here. 6 years after our first time falling in love with this place, returning brought back all the feels. Breakfast on the terrace each morning looking out at the calm sea. Walking the 2 minutes down to the tiny beach, Plage de la Raguette, where this time our kids paddle boarded and snorkeled most mornings. The cafe here serves pretty hearty fare for dine-in (table seating) or takeaway (to your beach spot). My husband had steak and frites, our kids had cheeseburgers, and I had the chicken Caesar salad and all were decent for the convenient location. Walking across the street to our favorite gelato stand and rotisserie chicken store. The local market Spar, Cecilia (fresh produce market), and pharmacy are all a few minutes walk and have all come in handy for last minute needs. Cannes is a 10-15 minute drive and was a fun spot for a date night wandering the streets with all the various shopping and bistros one can desire. July is inevitably a popular wedding month and we saw two weddings during our stay and even were treated to a fireworks show one night because of it. Even if you don't get to stay at the Chateau, it is well worth a visit for the garden lover, history lover, art lover, or castle enthusiast. There's something magical about this place and it's definitely a must-see if you're in the French Riviera!
A Gentle Supportive Soul★★★★★
A must visit! Pleasant tour of this beautifully maintained chateau of an American couple. Guided tours at 2:30pm in French so you can enter inside. The tour guide was very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the second floor is not to be visited since there are artists living there.

The hand prints don't seem to be very taken care (example: some of the them had rails on top of them so we could not appreciate them, those rails could have been stored a bit further away from the hand prints) also the hand prints could have a plaque beneath with the name of the stars as some of them are not perceived as they are signed by the stars.

The helicopter tour is a must and the lighthouse has been a constant presence, witnessing the city's transformation over the centuries. Its location on Quai du Large, a bustling waterfront area, provides easy access to other attractions, including the Lérins Islands, which are just a short ferry ride away. Île Sainte-Marguerite, the largest of the Lérins Islands, is known for its natural beauty and historical significance. Visitors can explore the Fort Royal, which once housed the Man in the Iron Mask, and wander through the island's lush forests. Île Saint-Honorat, the smaller of the two islands, is home to a working monastery where monks produce wine and honey. A visit to these islands offers a peaceful escape from the city and a chance to connect with nature and history. Back on the mainland, Le Suquet, Cannes' old town, is a must-see. This historic district, with its narrow, winding streets and charming architecture, offers stunning views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea.

Tucked into the pine forests along the scenic Clackamas River, the historic city of Estacada is only 30 miles southeast of Portland and offers an awesome base camp for hiking, hot springs, art and more. Founded as a timber town about a century ago, the community of approximately 5,000 people today is growing quickly for good reason. You can spend your days playing disc golf, rafting through rolling rapids and wandering among millions of acres of wilderness right out the door. As evening, you'll find fun breweries and restaurants to keep you going. Here is a quick roundup of all that's fun in Estacada.

The Vieux-Port is Cannes’ historic harbor, located at the foot of the old town of Le Suquet. A lovely busy port but not good if you are driving as the parking is awful

This location has been excellent for what we needed. The facilities are very good and always kept clean. The port is very well run. The only issue we had was on the weekend the rubbish collection area seemed to pile up without collection. But there was a film festival on, so I can blame anyone for that. On occasion there were shower cubicles with soap dispensers that were not working or empty, but that's only a minor inconvenience. All in all, it's excellent here.

We recently visited Fun City Cannes and had a wonderful experience. It is a fantastic place for kids and families. The facility is very spacious and well organized, with a large play area that offers a wide variety of fun activities suitable for children of different age groups. Younger children (enfants) have their own clearly marked and safe play areas, which makes it very convenient for parents to feel comfortable while their little ones explore and enjoy. One thing we particularly appreciated is that in some sections parents can also participate in activities with their children, which makes the experience even more enjoyable and memorable for families. The venue also provides dedicated seating areas for birthday parties or other celebrations, both in private cabins and in open spaces, which is a great option for organizing joyful family events. Although we did not try the food during this visit, we noticed that they offer catering with simple, kid-friendly options that seem convenient for families spending several hours there. A special mention goes to the staff, who were extremely friendly, welcoming, and supportive. When we arrived the place was quite full, yet they greeted us with a smile and helped accommodate us without any difficulty. Their positive attitude and willingness to help truly stood out. I would honestly rate the staff 110% for their dedication and support to all visitors. The pricing is also reasonable and structured according to the children’s age groups, which makes it fair and accessible. Overall, we highly recommend Fun City Cannes for families looking for a fun and engaging place for their kids. It’s a great spot to create happy moments together, and we will definitely come back again soon😁🤩!!

It was clean and nicely equipped for the kids. My 5 year old loved it and it was great for him to burn some energy in a climate controlled environment while it was 35 outside.

Kids absolutely loved it!! Best birthday ever 🙂 Not easy for parents, better to just drop-off and pick up at the end. Despite à crazy party atmosphere the ladies working there are amazing (brave, patient, kind, absolutely lovely).
Intelligent Eating★★★★☆
Really good entertainment centre, only downside is the café could be better. Apart from that it’s great fun. Parking is a bit of a gamble though if you want to be really close to the entrance
Emilie Moroni★★★★☆
The children had a good time. The under 3 section is exciting and safe. The over 3 section is huge and again safe. It wasn't too crowded but as always some children do not follow the rules and their parents were not trying to reinforce them either! The toilets were clean, which is always a plus. Make sure you buy the token coins for the karting! I would say 2 Euros for games and an extremely short car ride was actually a rip-off.

We had a fantastic walking tour with Cedric as our guide in Cannes. He was friendly, well spoken and time flew by. If you want to see all the beautiful and historic spots, book in. He kindly recommended a few restaurants and areas too. It was a pretty easy walk, thankfully it was a cloudy morning, as the sun in July makes things hot. The group was small enough, we walked at a relaxed pace, and got to know each other a little. A friendly time. We also bumped into him later in the week and he was more than happy to chat to us. Enjoy!

One of my favorite art venues in the world. The blue sea and palms swaying through the spacious windows, You amble through this wonderful old residence. But I did not walk alone. The museum offered me a guide. I had a private tour for the Herve di Rosa show. Maëlle guided me through three epochs of this artist’s voyage that were represented on each floor. With such detail and backstory the meaning of each painting created a relationship between all the works being shown. She introduced me to Rosa’s humanity and his love of exploration, and the fearlessness that this artist has demonstrated for almost 60 years. I really recommend this, and Maëlle speaks English, Italian and French.

Beautiful villa, renovated with taste, rooms big enough to appreciate this "feel good" exhibition. Excellent coffee on the rooftop!

The building itself is beautiful, the exposition we saw not so much. 12€ for these bubbles… there is also a cafè upstairs but you don’t really have a view to the sea as the wall is too high.

What a pity to experience what have became this Cannes' landmark with such an horrible Jean-Michel Othoniel's exhibition ... In 1946, the gardens and salons of the Grand Hôtel and La Malmaison served as the backdrop for the opening of the first film festival. On September 25, 1969, the municipality purchased the villa as part of the Palais des Festivals' western extension project. The villa is the last remaining example of the Belle Époque on the Croisette. It was then occupied by various municipal departments: the Cultural Affairs Department was located on the first floor, and the Radio-Cannes team on the second floor for a few years, replaced by the Communications Department and the Cannes Cinema Association. Beginning in 1970, the villa hosted the municipality's art exhibitions under the name La Malmaison Art Center. It housed the Directors' Fortnight team every May.

If you've just ordered a coffee in a cafe in Cannes and you're looking for something to fill the time before the waiter returns with your drink, this gallery is worth a visit. After looking in the first few rooms we found ourselves back in the entrance hall, and I'm sure the person who'd been behind us in the queue to get in, was still there buying a ticket. Fortunately, the Niki de Saint Phalle exhibition was great and made up for the lack of just about everything else.

Racist bouncers! Dont go to this casino. Bouncer tells me I cant go in because I am wearing shorts. Immediately lets 2 white guys in wearing shorts after me. When I asked him why he let them in. He says their shorts are different to yours. I am wearing Ralph Lauren corduroy shorts. Your bouncers clearly looked at my skin colour and stopped me from entering. Its 35 degrees in Cannes. Every man is wearing shorts. But somehome me wearing shorts is a problem? Right.

Small casino for being in the riviera. 5 tables in the cashgame area. They got 1 started about 21.40, €5/10NL. The do 4% rake with no cap. Soooooo slow when the dealer waits until the hand is over (no during game adding the pot) to count the pot, then put the number in their software to get the 4% rake. Half the usual played hands/ hour is a waste of everyones time. Go for 5% or even 10% with a cap of €30. Speed up the game pleeease!!! And yes, I won....

The casino in Cannes is absolutely stunning, and what really caught my eye were the photos of so many famous Hollywood and Bollywood stars lining the walls. It's amazing to see stars like Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Aishwarya Rai, and Shah Rukh Khan among others, who’ve either visited Cannes or been part of the iconic Cannes Film Festival. It adds such a glamorous vibe to the place, making it feel like you’re stepping into the world of celebrities. One important thing to know is that you need your passport to enter the casino, so definitely don’t forget to bring it along if you want to experience the inside. It’s also super convenient as it’s located very close to the train station, just a short walk away. Whether you’re a fan of gambling or just want to soak in the luxury, this casino is a great stop while exploring Cannes.

Tips for Making the Most of Your Visit to Cannes

To truly enjoy Cannes, it helps to understand the rhythm of the city and plan accordingly. The following practical tips will help you navigate costs, timing, and local etiquette, ensuring your trip is as smooth as it is memorable.

1. Time Your Visit Strategically
While the Film Festival in May is iconic, it brings massive crowds, road closures, and inflated prices. For a more relaxed experience with pleasant weather, consider visiting in late spring (April to early May) or early autumn (September to October). The sea is still warm, and the city is significantly more breathable.

2. Embrace the Lunch Menu
Dining in Cannes can be expensive, but you can enjoy the same high-quality cuisine for a fraction of the price at lunchtime. Many upscale restaurants offer "formules" or set menus during the midday hours that provide excellent value. It is the best way to taste gourmet food without breaking the bank.

3. Master the Art of the "Plage"
Not all beaches are created equal. While private beaches offer comfort and service, they charge a premium for a sun lounger. If you are on a budget, head to the public beaches like Plage du Midi or Plage de la Bocca, or bring a towel and set up near the free sections close to the Palais des Festivals.

4. Use the Trains for Day Trips
Cannes is perfectly positioned as a base for exploring the Riviera. The TER train line runs frequently along the coast, making it incredibly easy and affordable to visit Antibes, Nice, or Monaco for the day. Driving and parking in these coastal towns can be a nightmare, so the train is almost always the better option.

5. Look Beyond the Croisette for Dinner
The Boulevard de la Croisette offers stunning views, but the restaurants there often charge a premium for the location. To eat where the locals go, walk up the hill into Le Suquet or explore the streets behind the Rue d’Antibes. You will find more authentic, family-run establishments with better prices and traditional Provençal dishes.

The beauty of Cannes lies in its ability to surprise you. While it is easy to be dazzled by the luxury, the true magic often lies in the small moments: a quiet walk through the old town at sunset, a fresh croissant from a local boulangerie, or a spontaneous dip in the clear Mediterranean water.

Take the time to wander without a strict itinerary. Allow yourself to get lost in the side streets, sit on a bench facing the sea, and appreciate the unique atmosphere that has drawn artists, writers, and dreamers to this stretch of coast for centuries. Cannes is not just a place to be seen; it is a place to experience.
