15 Best Pizza Spots in Lille

Lille’s pizza scene has evolved dramatically over the last decade. What was once a city dominated by quick-service slices and late-night kebab shops is now home to a vibrant, competitive landscape of Neapolitan purists, contemporary Roman-style bakeries, and creative French-Italian hybrids. The northern capital’s love affair with dough, tomato, and mozzarella reflects its broader culinary identity: unpretentious, generous, and deeply connected to European traditions.

The best pizza in Lille isn’t confined to one neighborhood. From the cobbled lanes of Vieux-Lille to the bustling streets around Wazemmes and the student-heavy corridors near République, excellent pizzerias are scattered across the city. Each spot brings something distinct to the table, whether it’s a 48-hour fermented dough, locally sourced northern French cheese, or a wood-fired oven imported from Naples.

Understanding what makes a great pizza helps you navigate the options. The foundation is always the dough: it should be light, airy, and slightly charred, with a texture that holds up under toppings without becoming soggy. Equally important are the ingredients. The best pizzerias in Lille prioritize San Marzano tomatoes, fior di latte or buffalo mozzarella, and extra virgin olive oil, while others lean into regional produce like Maroilles cheese or endive.

Price and atmosphere matter too. Some of these spots are ideal for a quick, affordable lunch where you can watch the pizzaiolo stretch dough behind the counter. Others are better suited to a long, wine-fueled dinner with friends. The city offers everything from minimalist dining rooms with marble tables to cozy, family-run establishments where the oven has been burning for decades.

This guide focuses on pizzerias that consistently deliver quality, authenticity, and a memorable experience. Whether you’re a local looking to expand your rotation or a visitor wanting to taste the best of what Lille has to offer, these recommendations reflect current standards, ingredient sourcing, and the overall value each place provides.

Below, you’ll find fifteen standout pizza spots in Lille, each chosen for its unique strengths. After the list, I’ve included practical tips to help you make the most of your pizza experience in the city, from timing your visit to understanding menu terminology.

Lovely decoration. They have 4 areas to eat. The best are: in the front where are the bottles or in the back next to the kitchen, where you can see how the prepare the things or in the middle to see the beautiful decoration. Avoid the first Floor (next to the Toilette) or the side salon in the back as the roof is too low and it is too warm. Be sure to ask a table in the nice areas in advance. Lovely Service. People is really kind. Everybody speaks Italian, even the French People. Lovely food and desserts are amazing: pizza’s are amazing. Napolitan style. They hab a huge oven. The pasta is fresh and tasty. Desserts: They have the Classics but with a lovely twist. Coktails are also good. Mandatory reserve in advance. It Is worth to try it.
The FX VERDICT★★☆☆☆
The food was tasteless. The pasta with clams was absolutely dreadful, easily one of the worst I’ve ever had. The “hot pizza” was bland and flavourless, the first time I’ve left more than half uneaten. The service was decent, Leo was very friendly and helpful.

I recently dined at La Bellezza with friends and had a fabulous time! La Bellezza is owned by the Big Mamma Group, which also own the well-known Pink Mamma restaurant in Paris. La Bellezza has a similar menu to Pink Mamma (they even have the famous truffle pasta), serving authentic Italian cuisine. Their menu changes every couple months and features handmade pastas, Neapolitan pizzas, desserts, and a great selection of drinks. Prices are fair and the portion sizes were good, leaving us full. The interior of the restaurant is stunning! It is vibrant and romantic featuring large floor-to-ceiling bookshelves filled with vintage bottles--very unique! The service was pleasant and attentive. All the food is made with ingredients imported from Italy, is extremely fresh, and full of robust flavors. I ordered a Bellini to start my meal and it was wonderful. You could tell they used fresh peach juice and the drink was very balanced overall, would recommend. For the table, we ordered the Stracciatella along with 2 orders of focaccia. The Stracciatella was very creamy, with a subtle taste. It paired nicely with the warm, savory focaccia. For my main, I ordered the Crudo Bufalina Pizza which included San Marzano DOP tomato sauce, mozzarella di bufala, prosciutto crudo, Pecorino and rocket. This pizza was easily the best pizza I had during my time in Lille and was extremely impressive. The sauce was quite flavorful with deep, robust tomato flavor and notes of fresh basil. The toppings were perfectly distributed and worked harmoniously together. I appreciated the saltiness of the prosciutto crudo, the slight sharpness of the arugula, and the creaminess of the mozzarella di bufala. This was an excellent pizza and I could not recommend it more! To finish the meal, we ordered some of their famous Tiramisu to share. They scoop it out of a large dish and serve it right in front of you. I thoroughly enjoyed this dessert as it was exactly how tiramisu should be. The consistency was creamy, the espresso flavor was strong, but not overpowering, and it was lite. Overall, I am very happy I was able to dine at La Bellezza and would recommend it to anyone. It is a wonderful place for a nice dining experience with great, authentic Italian cuisine. The food is fabulous, full of flavor, and very fresh. Everything we ordered we were more than pleased with. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous and like nothing else in Lille! Service was good and the whole experience was enjoyable. I highly recommend getting a reservation in advance if you do want to dine here, otherwise you might be faced with a line outside the door. I definitely think that La Bellezza was just as impressive as its sister restaurant Pink Mamma. This is a fabulous establishment and I had a wonderful time!
Justine Rotsaert★★★★★
This place is so good! I had the best time here. Amazing, good quality food, a nice setting and the people who work here are so friendly and kind. We had some truffle cheese appetizer and WAUWIE, so good. Of course I continued with a tomato pasta and we ended with a good piece of tiramisu (it's SO good) It would be a shame if you did not eat here if you were in Lille.
Carolien Coenen★★★★★
Lovely Italian place situated in a gorgeous building. Loved the beautiful presentation from floor to ceiling of all the colorful liquor bottles at the bar near the entrance. The interior of the restaurant is definitely worth a visit in itself. The toilets are equally as stylish, but be warned, some of the locks don't work that well. The food was truly outstanding and the service was very friendly and efficient. We felt very welcome. The drink menu offers lots of different options to choose from. Happy with the fact that there are also lots of mocktails to choose from. I loved the risotto di mare and found the presentation with the big skewer of grilled octopus quite amusing. A great place for Italian food lovers.

went here for a bite to eat, and I have to say it was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had, especially the seafood pizza—it was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who made me feel very welcome. I highly recommend this place
Garret Girmus★★★★★
Stopped by here for a quick lunch yesterday and got a piece of pizza with salmon for four euros and a bolognese arancini for three euro fifty. So total was seven euro fifty. Service was fast and friendly, and the food did taste very good; I feel like the quality has gone up a bit since my last visit about six months ago. There are also tables directly in front of the restaurant on the street where you can eat, which I gladly did. Frankly for the price it is actually decent value; you can get a sandwich with almost no meat for about the same price, and this is at least hot food. I will definitely go back, as there are a bunch of different pizzas to try!
Karim Elmirou★★★☆☆
Friendly and fast service. Pizza slices were ok, nothing special. Very affordable at €3-4 a slice though and one slice is plenty for one person as a medium sized snack. It’s not really a place designed to eat in so there isn’t much of an atmosphere. Value for money is ok.
Brian Spaulding★★★★★
Incredible food for the price! I had a slice of pizza, chocolate mousse, and a soda under $10. Quick service as well.

We were looking for an Italian restaurant in walking distance and picked this because of the reviews. I'm glad we did. We arrived as they opened so got a walk-in table. I think we were lucky because it soon filled up - a sign of a good restaurant. Great service and fantastic food. My son loved the super Margherita, my daughter the spaghetti Bolognese, my wife the mushroom risotto, and I thought the four cheese pizza was the best four cheese pizza I've ever had. Dessert choices were also excellent, including a wonderful panacotta and affogato. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

We have waited a little to long to order, but the food was amazing! Very tasty. Thus, we didn’t find any lasagna, hopefully it will be back im the menu. Pizza with pistachio is amazing.
Sander Hoogendoorn★★★★☆
Nice Italian restaurant, just outside the city center of Lille. Antipasti were good. The pizza and pasta too. The waiter had to work really hard, as due to illness (happens more often these days) he managed the whole restaurant on his own. Well done despite says delays!
Emile Fares★★★★★
Amazing restaurant, good food and friendly staff. The music was just right, not so high so we can talk and at the same time we could hear it. The food was tasty, pasta carbonara was mouth watering. Make sure to reserve before going on order to get seated directly.

It is our second time. Everything was perfect again. The pizzas are crunchy and good amounts of toppings. The tiramisu is a masterpiece.

Dining at Ciao Ragazzi reminded me of the neighborhood pizzeria in Italy. The service is amazing, the lady greeted me at the door is friendly and upfront with the possible waiting time. She also shared with me the specials and her personal recommendations after sharing with me a bit of the restaurant and their specialties. I’ve got a calzone for myself and it’s very delicious and authentic. It’s made with the simplest ingredients yet from pizza dough to the fillings are all very good. They’re very generous with the fillings too. I won’t hesitate to come back again when I’m in the neighborhood so I can try the rest of their pizza menu. Give them a try if you’re in search of pizza and around the corner.

Argun Tanrıverdi★★★★☆
First of all, the pizza we had was 10/10 which was the most important thing of course. The pizzeria is in a beautiful Lille street & they have a good number of table outside 🙏🏼 No wifi, no other menu other than the French one with waiters & waitresses that aren't exactly fluent in English... This is the norm in France I guess but it kind of sucks! We were just lucky to pick the pizza for our taste.
Pieter De Vos★★★★★
A marvellous experience! Great quality food, wine, and the staff is very friendly! 100% would recommend! A must when visiting Lille!

Packed! One pizza was ok - Toto, the other one was super good - Terrona. The red wine by the glass was ok, but nothing especial. For the desert I preferred the tiramisu, the others weren’t that good.
Becky Fishman★★★★★
Excellent pizza bases with white, red and vegan topping options and helpful waiting staff. We had lunch here on a Sunday and were able to sit outside. The street gets a little busy, but we were happy to enjoy delicious pizza in the spring sunshine!

Came by this spot accidentally but it was amazing. Arancini, zucchini beignets, great pizza and loved the canneloni. Only downside was the wine (limited options) and they didn't have any ice cream or buffala left sadly.
Pelin Göral Akbaş★★★★☆
We tried it for the first time yesterday. I’d say the taste was average overall. The service was good and the staff were friendly. We had made a reservation, but there were quite a few empty tables. We paid €48 for two starters, two cocktails, and one pizza. In terms of price-performance, it was good.
Maarten van Krimpen★★★★★
This was a joy. Good food, nothing too fancy (which is exactly what I wanted) and polite employees who know their stuff - this made me very happy. Margarita pizza was perfect; not too thin, not too thick, just perfect. Great taste!! And the affogato, oh my! The sweetness of the ice cream and the bitterness of the espresso, it was a perfect combination. And like I said: compliments to the staff as well. A hidden gem!

Stumbled upon Lou Pizzeria whilst looking for something to eat. Great pizza menu, and you can create your own. Loads of vegan options, and vegan cheese avaliable. Pizza was huge, and the dough was lovely! Price wise- 3 drinks and 2 pizza came to €24. Gluten free options avaliable. There was also a vegan dessert, but we didnt try it. The staff are lovely and very accommodating. Definitely recommend!

A must if you are looking for great pizza. Can 'veganise' most of the pizzas. Friendly service. Good wine too
Khadijah Rushdan★★★★★
the pizza are wonderful! ordered the truffle pizza, it's taste very authentic... the truffle pizza is a bit bland but still good and creamy... the atmosphere outside not very clean and sometimes homeless people come begging for foods (maybe can eat inside if u don't want to be disturb) anyways, worth it to try! waiting time not too long
Bruce Garley (A darkened lens)★★★★☆
A fantastic establishment with a huge vegan pizza and dessert selection. The pizzas were absolutely spot on, genuinely one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! You can choose any pizza and customise it with vegan options, or build your own pizza with a huge variety of vegan meats, cheeses, and veggies. The one area where we let down however, was the waiting time! I appreciate we were a group of 12 hungry vegans, but we waited well over an hour for our pizzas to arrive, and even then, some had the wrong toppings. We did end up with a free pizza and an extra tiramisu though. Staff were very apologetic, and to be honest the quality of the meal was so good overall we all left happy in the end.
Tim Cuny★★★★★
Brilliant vegan pizza options with multiple plant-based cheeses and vegetables. Also a good, fresh salad bar and vegan desserts. Wonderful staff and service. A very special place indeed. Thanks Lou!!

We had two pizzas with set menu which included two drinks and two desserts as well. Amazing quality, fresh dough and vegetables, crisp and crunch. Tiramisu: we ordered mango and Nutella, and they were amazing good. It’s value for money, not pricey. We only paid €24,20 per this set menu.

I visited Five Pizza in Lille while traveling from England, and it was an excellent experience! The food was absolutely amazing – fresh, tasty, and full of flavour. The customer service really stood out too: the staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made things so much easier as I don’t speak French. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Lille – I’ll definitely be back next time!

I dined here with my friends recently and was very impressed with the whole experience. One of my friends had already dined here twice before and raved about how good the food was. So with that being said, my expectations were high. We came under a reservation, which is almost required in order to eat here (I recommend getting one up to a week in advance). Papà Raffaele is an Italian restaurant that primarily serves pizza, along with some shareable, salads, and desserts. They offer a great selection of drinks as well. The service was good and the food came out all freshly prepared. All the pizzas are made with premium ingredients imported from Italy and are cooked made-to-order in a wood-fired pizza oven from Naples. This is probably the closest you will get to authentic Italian in Lille. To start, we ordered the Spritz Almalfitano Pitcher and burrata to share. The Spritz Almalfitano was essentially their version of a limoncello spritz. Although it didn't have a strong lemoncello taste. The drink was very strong and we were genuinely feeling "drunk" after splitting it amongst the three of us. I would recommend ordering it though as it was a lovely cocktail with great flavor, just very, very strong. The burrata was simple, but flavorful nonetheless and a perfect way to start the meal. For my pizza, I ordered the Dolce Diavola which consisted of tomato sauce, fior di latte mozzarella, spicy spianata, onions red, ricotta, pepper, mint, honey and olive oil. This was a wonderful combination of flavors that all worked together harmoniously! Very unique and like nothing I'd had before, it had some heat, smokiness, and sweetness. You could really taste the quality of ingredients as it was evident in the amount of flavor all the food had. This was easily one of the best pizzas I've ever had, hands down. To round out this fabulous meal, we ordered the Fat Sundae and Tiramisu to split. The Fat Sundae included milk ice cream, Nocciolata (chocolate-hazelnut spread), salted butter caramel, salted peanuts, crushed cantucci, and cocoa. I thoroughly enjoyed this as it wasn't too heavy and was the perfect way to end the meal. The tiramisu was also very good and I would recommend! One thing I will note is that if you opt to have your food come out separately (starters then your pizza), they will only put your pizza in the oven once they take your starter plates away. This can make your meal time longer. Overall, I was very pleased with my meal at Papà Raffaele. It was easily one of the best, most memorable meals I had in Lille. All the food was sensational, the quality unmatched, and the flavors authentic. The service was great and everyone there was extremely pleasant. I absolutely loved my pizza and see why it is such a popular eatery. This is a must-eat if you are in Lille and I highly recommend making a reservation to dine here.

Couple of us went there after a long day at the Lille Grand Palais for a show we were exhibiting at. We had such a lovely meal - staff was friendly and welcoming. We wanted a hassle-free dinner and got exactly that & more. We ordered pizzas and were nicely surprised to see the real Wood Fire oven at the back of the restaurant. Food was delicious - real authentic taste of pizza , the dough was so light which was easy to digest. Generous portions, yet we still manage to have the tiramisu, we went for the original one, fabulous, but some other flavours sounded delightful- will try the Speculoos one next time! Very reasonable price for a city restaurant. This is now on my list when I'll travel back to Lille for business or leisure. 🙂

Out of space service. Young lady would rather be on her phone than actually serve and attend our table. There was only 4 customers in the restaurant at that point! The guy cooking also constantly checked out his phone , even while cooking. The older man was nice but the tee shirt looked old as if he was doing maintenance jobs in the restaurant and serving customers Food was great but I will not come back to this place.... Customers must come before social media networking....

Great experience! We tried this pizzeria by chance and we weren't disappointed. We were seated upstairs, the staff was very responsive, and we were served immediately. We opted for pasta, even though the choice was very difficult. What impressed us most was the staff's friendliness. It's truly a pleasure to eat in such a place. Thank you again, we'll be back to try the rest of the menu! ☺️

Great experience, I agree with the other reviews. I was just passing through Lille and I highly recommend this place. The pizzas are excellent and very generously topped. Everything is halal. Thank you for the warm welcome. The staff is fantastic.

Really nice place and amazing pizza we are love it so much

Excellent pizzas for a reasonable price. Owners are very nice and friendly. Like others have said, they now do pizzas and pizzas only. No Lebanese cuisines are served here any longer. They or someone they know have now opened a Lebanese restaurant a block away. Have not tried that place yet.

The service is extremely fast, the staff is very nice, and the pizzas are just delicious, with very fresh ingredients... I will definitely go back... AND they also have Lebanese choices, which is great if you are going with a person who doesn't want to eat pizza!

Really like the pizzas Lou Pizzeria make. The Gluten free base is one of the best we have tried outside of Italy. I feel that this Lou Pizzeria is more for quick lunch stops. The other Lou Pizzeria in Lille on Rue Gambetta is more for a sit down take your time lunch. Both are good. Staff at this one are friendly and the pizzas delivered quickly. Try them both. Choose your favourite.

Very tasty pizza! The dough and all the ingredients are extremely fresh. Service was friendly. Burrata for a starter was perfect. Definitely a place to visit when in Lille!

Super delicious, reasonably priced with lots of options! I got the under €7 Margherita Vegan Pizza! Will definitely be back.

Me and my friends were walking around Lille town and we found this lovely pizza restaurant. We continued to walk but came back and decided to sample the pizzas. I decided to have a chicken and ham pizza and it was divine. We must have waited 10-15 minutes for our pizzas and it was the perfect temperature. The size was great, I'm 6'4 and can't eat like a pig but I was satisfied. The staff were really nice and friendly with a warm smile. If you come here you will not be disappointed 😊

Best pizza I've had since I arrived here in Lille. I strongly recommend it!
Helia Norouzizadeh★☆☆☆☆
We ordered two pizzas. One truffle pizza which was too oily and the taste of cheap carpaccio of truffle overruled the whole pizza. The other one was pizza de la moment which was too oily and all burnt. Not a restaurant to recommend
Eduardo Lovatel★★★★☆
Not as great as all these reviews rave about, just a good pizza. The flavour was there but the dough was too soggy.

My husband, found this place on Google- we didn’t know what we wanted to eat, but we love pizza- so we decided to try it out. It was very cool because this was before France’s first World Cup game that was later on that night… We sat outside, we got a bottle of rosé, & my husband tried a beer as well. It was great people watching -as all of the ‘to go’ pick ups were happening- everyone getting their pizza delivered, as they were going to watch the World Cup game later than night. We had the margarita pizza, and it’s probably one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. The ingredients were SO fresh and it was so delicious!! As we sat outside, looking in the window- we saw them cutting the dough to make the pizza, & all of that prep work going into making the pizzas! Staff was so nice, for us non-French speaking people… it was a very cool experience. Limited outside seating, as I think this is mainly a Takeaway place, but that didn’t matter. It was so delicious. I would highly recommend this place, if you’re in the area craving a best ever pizza.

Stopped by this place for a quick bite. Pizza was amazing. It’s a little take out pizza place but has about 5 tables outside. The food was so fresh and we saw about 9 delivery drivers stop to pick up food while we were eating. Definitely try it.
Tahoma Lewis★★★★★
It was one of the best brickoven pizzas I've had in a long time. The crust was perfect and the pepperoni was spicy just like I like it. The staff was super friendly.
Garret Girmus★★★★★
Good pizza as ever! Won’t find anything better in Lille. Sauce, crust, cheese, topping - it’s all on point. It all gets delivered quickly, too.

Great freshly cooked pizza if in lille. Varied sizes and options and quality ingredients. Great to hear them speak Italian and English also. Definitely recommend if you love good pizza.

Tips for Choosing and Enjoying Pizza in Lille

Before you book a table or walk in, a few local insights can significantly improve your experience. The city’s pizza culture has its own rhythms, and knowing how to navigate reservations, peak hours, and menu quirks will help you avoid disappointment.

First, always check whether the pizzeria takes reservations. Many of the smaller, high-demand spots in Vieux-Lille fill up quickly on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. Walking in without a booking often means waiting 30 to 45 minutes or being turned away entirely. If you’re flexible, aim for a late lunch or an early dinner around 7:00 p.m. to beat the rush. Second, pay attention to the oven type. Wood-fired ovens produce a distinct leopard-spotted char and smoky flavor that gas or electric ovens cannot replicate. If you’re chasing authentic Neapolitan pizza, confirm the oven is wood-fired. Third, don’t overlook the non-tomato pizzas. Many Lille pizzerias excel at bianche, or white pizzas, which use cream, cheese, or olive oil as a base. These are often where a chef’s creativity shines. Fourth, ask about the flour. The best doughs use finely milled Italian tipo 00 flour, sometimes blended with whole wheat or spelt for added depth. This detail separates artisanal pizzerias from generic chains. Finally, consider sharing. Portions in Lille tend to be generous, and ordering two or three different pizzas for the table lets you sample more of the menu without overordering.

Lille’s pizza landscape rewards curiosity. While the classics—margherita, marinara, and diavola—are reliable benchmarks of quality, many local spots offer seasonal specials that incorporate northern French ingredients. A pizza topped with Maroilles cheese, for example, is a distinctly regional twist you won’t find in Naples. Trust the pizzaiolo’s recommendations and don’t be afraid to ask what’s fresh that day.

The city’s compact size makes it easy to explore multiple pizzerias in a single visit. Whether you’re grabbing a quick slice near the train station or settling in for a slow dinner in the old town, these fifteen spots represent the best of what Lille has to offer. Buon appetito.
