15 Best Hotels in Valladolid City Centre

Staying in the heart of Valladolid places you at the crossroads of Castilian history, Renaissance architecture, and one of Spain’s most underrated culinary scenes. Unlike the coastal resorts, this city moves to an authentic, unhurried rhythm, where tapas bars fill with locals long after the museums close. Choosing a hotel in the city centre means the Plaza Mayor, the cathedral, and the Campo Grande park are all just a short stroll from your door.

The historic core is remarkably compact and largely pedestrianised, making it a pleasure to explore on foot. You can wake up to the sound of church bells, step outside for a café con leche, and spend the morning wandering through palaces that once housed Spanish kings. Because the centre is flat and walkable, the exact location of your hotel matters less than the character and comfort it offers.

Valladolid is also a major hub for business travel and conferences, which means the city centre hotel scene is diverse. You will find everything from restored convents and noble houses to sleek, modern design hotels. This variety ensures there is a perfect base for every type of traveller, whether you are here for a weekend of wine tasting in Ribera del Duero or a week of meetings.

The best city centre hotels put you within easy reach of the National Sculpture Museum and the vibrant tapas streets of the old town. After a day of sightseeing, you can return to your room, refresh, and head out for an evening of pinchos without needing a taxi. The convenience of staying centrally cannot be overstated, especially during the hot Castilian summers when a midday siesta in a cool room is a welcome luxury.

When selecting a property, consider what matters most to your travel style. Some hotels offer valet parking and rooftop terraces, while others focus on intimate, boutique atmospheres inside centuries-old buildings. The quality of service across Valladolid is generally high, with a genuine warmth that reflects the pride locals have in their city.

Our curated selection below highlights the finest options in the city centre, each chosen for its location, guest experience, and distinctive character. Whether you are seeking a five-star splurge or a stylish, affordable hideaway, you will find a hotel that suits your needs. These are properties that consistently earn praise for their cleanliness, comfort, and ability to make guests feel at home.

Here are the best hotels in Valladolid city centre, chosen to help you make the most of your stay in this captivating Castilian capital.

This hotel is in a great area of Valladolid and despite the building works, parking was easy. The temporary reception was good and staff were friendly & helpful. Rooms were clean and had everything you needed. Beds were very comfortable
Robyn Allwright★★★★★
Located near the old city, close to the river. Mistakenly booked a suite, but it was one of the best stays! Our room was very spacious and quiet. We had room service...the burgers were huge and delicious. Only regret...only stayed one night. Oh, and very dog friendly. We even had a dog bed and set of dog bowls in the room. Also convenient and secure parking in their underground car park.
Helen Bates★★★★★
We only stayed for one night but it was the best night sleep I have had in a long while, all staff very friendly and we look forward to visiting again 😀

A nice Hotel with nice rooms, very close to the nightlife. Not so far from the center,on foot.
Georgios Kotseridis★★☆☆☆
We have paid for a 3 persons and they gave us a very small room. They added one small bed for a child and not adolescents. The room was very close to the reception and thus very noisy. The cards to open the door were magnetised all the time and so obliged to ask the reception to recover! The hair dryer was broken down. The breakfast was quite good

Title: Clean, convenient, and top-notch management Location: Excellent, very close to the train station and other attractions. Cleanliness: Room was immaculate. Service: Staff is friendly, but Oscar is the standout. He helped us navigate a tricky transport situation (booking a taxi) when we were told it wasn't possible. Truly attentive service! We also really liked the great food recommendations given at front desk and all close to the hotel.
Tony XCHX★★★★★
A perfect little hotel. Walking distance to the heart of the city, beautiful and spotlessly clean rooms, spacious bathroom with huge shower. The staff were great, very helpful and attentive. The building next door was being renovated and the staff apologised profusely but it was hardly much of a noise inconvenience as we were out most of the day. We’ll definitely return when we re-visit the city, hopefully next year.
Yvonne Moustakas★★★★★
Hotel Colon was a very pleasant surprise. We booked for a short overnight stay on our drive from Madrid to Cantabria. We were only looking for a basic accomodation and Hotel Colon exceeded out expectations. Our room was very nice, comfortable bed, thick towels, etc and the staff was very welcoming . Great value for what we paid. The park in front of the hotel was perfect for a morning walk, and the old town was great for tapas and evening stroll. We would definitely return. We arrived late on a Thursday night, and parking was easy to find in public parking areas near by. There was no charge after 8pm (?) and Friday was free as it was a holiday.

Nice clean hotel, at very handy location , close to railway and Plaza. Rooms were very comfortable. Excellent staff service with beautiful breakfast and dinner. Will definitely stay again next year.

Nice quiet hotel with comfortable beds, around a ten minute walk from the Plaza Major in Valladolid and opposite a lovely park. The beds were comfortable, and I would happily stay again. Cycling friendly.

MARTA ANTON★★★☆☆
Nice hotel with a great location and very helpful staff, but I didn’t give it 5 stars due to a few missing basics. There was no tea or coffee provided in the room, which was disappointing after a long day of travelling, a kettle and a few sachets would have made a big difference. We also had to request a dishcloth and basic washing-up items. Although plates were provided, there was nothing available to wipe surfaces or clean up afterwards. In addition, the WiFi was unusable, so we ended up using our phones as hotspots. Overall, a decent stay, but these issues brought it down to a 3 star experience for me.
Tom de moor★★★★★
Very spacious and comfortable quiet room, giving you private apartment facilities, with parking option under the hotel. Small remark for the cleaning: we found a lot of dust in the kitchen and on the table, including ironically, a hair on the toilet next to the sticker which indicated the toilet was cleaned…. (But not that it gave a real unclean feeling). The room was very comfortable and modern, with a nice view on the nearby church
reyn dijk★★★★☆
The hotel is very well situated close to the pedestrian area of the centre. The underground parking (u need to reserve) is very convenient and for €20 also affordable. The staff wad very welcoming and friendly. Rooms are clean and very spacious. Breakfast ok, but basic. Toiletries also very basic. But all in all absolutely value for money. I do recommend

Bad experiences in Nexus Hotel Valladolid. In May 2024 we had booked 2 Deluxe Suites with a view of the old town for one night in October 2024. We were really looking forward to it, but upon arrival we quickly encountered some disappointments. 1. The hotel uses a “rate-from” and it is not clear in advance when the prices mentioned apply. The hotel determines the price at the time of booking, which is always higher than the previously mentioned “rate-from” on the website. In our case, the hotel determined a rate of €170 per suite upon booking, while upon arrival it turned out that a rate of €140 is more common for this period, and on the website a “rate-from” of €100 is still mentioned. Also, no early booking discount has been applied. This way of juggling with prices creates a feeling of deception. 2. In the bathroom of both suites the shower head was crazy and fell down when used. Furthermore, there was a socket hanging loose from the wall, with the wiring visible. 3. The living room sofa is covered in dirty stains. 4. There is no WiFi coverage in the entire suite. The only place is very close to the entrance door. Very uncomfortable. 5. No lounge or bar available and only limited breakfast. 6. To top it all off, I had left my iPhone charger in the suite after leaving. Alfonso from reception was in no way prepared to help me send it to my home address. It was my fault and I had to arrange it with an (expensive) courier. No help at all from Nexus possible. According to Alfonso, there was no other option, although various Spanish websites charge €2.75 to €5.00 for sending such a charger, which I was certainly willing to pay. I had no choice and said goodbye to the charger and bought a new one. All in all this stay with Nexus was a very unpleasant experience which is not in proportion to the amount paid and which I certainly want to spare others.

Well deserved 4 star hotel. The Staff (specifically Roberto) was very helpful during our stay. The hotel is next to the cathedral, it has very convenient private parking and it is 10 minutes away walking to the plaza mayor. The room was nice, clean and the bed confortable.

We paid 175€/night through Booking.com (including taxes) during HSBC 7s. Perhaps it’s cheaper to book directly with the hotel. The service was great! Check in/out was very quick and fluid. The initial allocated room’s AC did not work so they moved us to another room. We were happy to be close to the historical centre/ Plaza Mayor, the location is unbeatable
Michelle B★★★★★
Amazing staff !!! Totally went out of their way to accommodate us! Drove us to train when no taxis were avail. Front desk staff outlined our daily trips and we followed their suggestions of food and tourist locations. Highly recommend as location was perfect for vermouth bars!!!

A fabulous location and hotel welcomed our pet dogs and provided a bed , treats and bowls . Bed super comfortable Only downside was breakfast was disappointing. However as included in our booking.com we can't complain too much but wouldn't have paid for it and no staff im breakfast room for assistance.
Juan M Ortiz★★★★★
Great hotel for the money. Superv location around Valladolid's Plaza Mayor. Very kind and helpful staff. Recommended if you go to Valladolid.
Travis Fink★★☆☆☆
Perfect location, cheap price, lady at check in was lovely. Man during the rest of the stay spoke no English and was rude. The room was very very small with a very small uncomfortable bed that is absolutely nothing like the photos they show you during booking. I booked a room with two beds, the reservation showed a nice room with two twin beds. I was given a very small room with one small bed. The bed was so bad that we ended up leaving early to stay at a different hotel with better beds. Yet they still charged us for the last night when we were given a room not what we reserved. I showed them the reservation photos and they said that was a different room.

Downtown, walking distance to Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral, churches and other sites of interest and close to restaurants with outside seating, shopping, bars, etc. I stayed in a single room that was not big but was super clean, modern, new and very confortable. The bathroom was big, new and clean with a window. The staff was professional and very nice, I had a great stay, thank you!!

We stayed her recently while visiting our daughter at the University. Perfect location next to the Cathedral. Rooms were spotless and comfortable. we enjoyed the option to chrome cast from our phone to the room TV, as there were no English Speaking channels. Lovely breakfast with very pleasant staff, we enjoyed sitting out in the courtyard and enjoying a drink from the bar. The reception staff very helpful and most pleasant, arranging taxis and helping us. There are loads of bars and restaurants within a short walk, the city is so beautiful. Loved our stay here!
Dan Op de veluwe★★★★☆
Rooms have high level of finishing. Good soundproofing. Excellent location, around the corner of the centre. Only complaint is temperature. When you see people in the square with gloves on, you feel guilty to open both balconie doors as it is 25,5C in the room, and you cannot lower the temperature; only heating..
Marius Dragomir★★★★★
A fabulous hotel, great room, clean, beautifully designed, exceptional service everywhere (reception, bar, breakfast) in a great location. Convenient parking space, everything is just perfect here. I haven't found such a great hotel for a long time. We will always come back here if we travel to Valladolid.

Very good rooms. Staff is super polite and helpful. Breakfast is fantastic. Location is the best. Parking very convenient. Can't imagine if anything can be done better.

We stayed in room 102. It was gorgeous. A bathtub, the small lounge area and bedroom were very spacious and comfortable. We ate the cod bites with orange dressing and grilled Vegetables in the evening restaurant which served food until 23:30 (excellent!). The breakfast was varied, and the orange juice freshly squeezed was delicious. 100% recommended. Reception lovely and the lady serving at the restaurant on Friday 21st March was quick, professional and had a lovely demeanour.
Emil Palfi★★★★☆
A nice hotel, close to city center. Good breakfast and a very good location. Close to train station also. In this place also you can enjoy a very good breakfast. There is a hotel old fashioned, but in the same time full of new inovations. It was a pleasure to stay here.
David Jerman★★★★★
Great place to stay! I've travelled through France and this compares very highly. Rooms are large, staff is friendly, location is convenient and walking distance to central park ND downtown shopping and restaurants. The free breakfast is very good. Parking is the standard underground type so no large vehicles would be recommended. The shower is a bit small, but they do have premium rooms if that was something important. Air conditioner works well. The bed is set up as two long twins next to each other. The balcony rooms over look the park and opening the windows while having coffee in the morning is a must do item. The bar is nice and there is a patio outdoors behind the bar to enjoy then on.
Lilly Rose★★☆☆☆
Two stars because it was one of the worst beds I’ve ever slept on. Plus the shower door leaked water all over the floor and the hair dryer didn’t work. It’s a shame because the room was actually pretty nice. Location was incredible. If the bed had been sleepable, I would give it 4 stars.

We were really impressed with this hotel and our stay was amazing. The staff are very welcoming and full of energy in the morning. The rooms are a great size for 2 and the breakfast is also a great start to the day. The design of the hotel is modern with lots of stone and overall for the price, it is well worth a stay, we will be back!

Classic hotel, in the centre. Very convenient for exploring Valladolid and close to the good bars and restaurants. Reasonably priced. Secure underground car park. Breakfast was okay, pretty basic toasted croissant with juice and coffee. The room was nice, with big French windows allowing you to look out on the street below. Only issue was we didn't get a double bed, but rather 2 singles pushed together. Would stay again if they gave us a proper double bed.
Helen Alman★★★★★
It's an old-school hotel, completely modernized. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is really good value for money

Loved my stay here. Only thing that keeps it from being a 5 star all the way around, was the A/C unit didnt work as efficiently as I would have like. At times I was very hot. This Hotel is right around the cornor form the Valladolid Cathedral. Additonally it is within walking distance of most everything you would want to do in Valladolid. Staff was exception, most all of them spoke English. They were all super helpful. The room was perfecty clean and was exactly as you would want. Breakfast was fantastic, excellent food, and the staff is was wonderful. Note, breakfast is actully at their sister hotel right next door the Atrio. If you plan on being there for Holy Week, One of the Sunday Processions passes just outside the hotel on its way to the Cathedral. Enjoy your stay. Of note, I was a solo traveler, so keep that in mind. I did a lot of walking. I actually walked from the Train Station to the hotel. It wasnt too far, I only had one bag. I was able to walk through the park, and the central plaza on the way to the Hotel. You could take a cab or Uber. I enjoyed the walk through a city I had never been to. Enjoy your stay.
Sedina Selimovic★★★★★
The hotel is beautiful, everything smells amazing and looks very aesthetic. The rooms are very clean, and the staff is truly kind and welcoming. It’s located right in the city center, just a few minutes’ walk from everything.

The rooms are a bit small, as you might expect in a historic building in the city centre. However, they are very well designed and equipped. The staff is very attentive and helped us with directions and key tips for visiting historical sites.

I've come here often before because of work, the personnel has always been kind and hard-working, but as of late the experience in the cafeteria has worsened noticeably. Again, the staff is as nice as always, but the availability of foods and drinks and the space for clients (which I found useful to host casual meetings) has been worse lately.
Ancuta Maria★★★★☆
I recently stayed at the Hotel Silken Juan de Austria and had a pleasant stay overall, though there were a few details that future guests might find helpful to know. The Positives: Atmosphere: The hotel is very elegant, and both the common areas and my room were exceptionally clean. Staff: All of the staff members were very nice and professional. A huge plus is that they spoke English fluently, which made communication much easier. * Breakfast: The breakfast was absolutely fantastic—definitely a highlight of the stay! Areas for Improvement: Arrival & Parking: It was quite frustrating to find the parking entrance. GPS leads you directly to the front of the hotel, so clearer signage or instructions sent prior to arrival would be very beneficial. Room Temperature: I found the room a bit cold. Even with the heating set to maximum, it didn't quite reach a comfortable warmth for my preference. Hot Water Issues: I struggled to get hot water for a bath at night. However, I learned the next morning that you need to let the water run for quite a long time. Pro-Tip for Guests: If you prefer a very hot shower or bath, let the water run for about 10–15 minutes. It eventually gets nice and hot, but it takes much longer than expected to reach the room. Despite the initial frustrations with the water and the parking, everything else was perfect. Thank you for the stay!
Annie B Spain★★☆☆☆
The awful thing about this hotel is the fact that there is one heating control for all the rooms and if your room is too hot- you have to suffer it. Open the window they said - onto one of the main roads in Valladolid. Avoid staying here because quality of sleep is zero. I was travelling as a group and it was our one shared constant complaint. I hope never to return.
Richard De La Torre★★☆☆☆
I really wanted to like this hotel. When you walk in you are greeted by a beautiful lobby and friendly staff, however my stay there was disappointing to say the least. The hotel has no gym, which is a bummer, and the pool water is green. In my 5 summer days there I didn't see a single soul get in the pool and I don't blame them. That's not the worst of it however. The A/C in the room can't be adjusted by the guest and doesn't cool enough for a comfortable sleep in summer. To make matters worse the A/C broke all together for 2 days, however, once fixed it didn't make too much of a difference. That's unacceptable in my opinion. A few other things that bothered me: the breakfast buffet is quite pricy for it's limited selection. The silverware was often not washed properly, and they often ran out of items and took long to replenish them. All in all the location is the only thing saving this from a lower score. The staff was friendly but the issues around the A/C are just unacceptable. Guests should always be allowed to set the A/C to a comfortable sleeping temperature for them. For the record I weigh 150 pounds so I'm not some obese person complaining here.
Guillaume Giudicelli★★★☆☆
We booked this hotel because it has a parking. Turned out to be full, and good luck finding public parking around there. We circled for 20 minutes and just decided to park a 20 minute walk away. This is not a 4 star experience. Reception staff was friendly.

I had a comfortable night's sleep here. The room was spatious and clean. The bathroom and shower were great. The location was super a 15 minutes level walking distance to the Cathedral and wine bars. The only negative was the poor instructions to their adjoining underground cat park but we got there in the end! The sooner they reopen the usual entrance the better.

Price value very bad. Extremely small rooms 50-60 cm left and right from bed. Functional but small and old. For €150 the night it is the worst experience I had so far in Spain. They even charge u on top for small water 1,50€. This is not three stars this is maximum one.

This is our favourite hotel during staying on holidays. It is our second time and every time we stay more than 1 week. 1.Prices are great for 4 stars hotel. They always make a good price for long stay 2. Rooms are clean. Towels and bed sheets are white and fresh. 3. The guys on the check-in desk are amazing! Always happy to help and very caring. 4. Breakfast is great! 5. Beds are the best. 6. Parking. We park around the hotel for free-always enough of spots. Highly recommended.

Great hotel for an overnight stop when driving back to Santander from the Algarve Easy to find and plenty of free parking beside the hotel. It was about a 16 minute walk into the town centre where there are plenty of restaurants and bars.

A very recommended hotel! Great happy effecient service at the front desk, and very happy to take dogs - we brought our own dog bed, but the two dogs were welcomed and liked - and a much fairer 25 euro total dog enhanced cleaning fee (which i still feel is a new tax to make money 😉 ). Room was good, clean and quiet. A little bit out the centre which some will not like. Secure underground parking for a small fee is also available. We will return! 😉

A perfect place to stay. We had a suite room so there was a separate lounge area. It made a huge difference. The room was excellent, clean and well appointed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The parking was good, although the elevator was a bit scary at first. For breakfast, directly outside the hotel entrance is a great bar. They did excellent tortilla, which kept us going until lunch.

We stayed here one night towards the end of our honeymoon. The room and bed were very comfortable and the staff was very nice. We ordered dessert and had it on the terrace and we were the only ones out there and it was very romantic. The next morning we ordered breakfast a la carte and once again had the privacy of the terrace and it was delicious. Hotel is walking distance to a gorgeous nature park, definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It is clearly very new, and everything feels modern, stylish, and well thought out. The room was beautifully designed, with plenty of storage space, a smart bathroom layout, and a very comfortable, large bed. We especially appreciated the extra door separating the entrance from the bedroom, which kept the room remarkably quiet by blocking hallway noise. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of high-quality options and the possibility to order additional freshly prepared dishes. We also appreciated the lactose-free milk options for coffee. The restaurant is beautifully designed, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The hotel offers a spacious underground parking garage, a large and well-equipped gym with complimentary water, and a lovely terrace with a swimming pool and plenty of seating. A squat rack or bench press would be a nice addition to the gym, and the terrace could feel even more inviting with a bit more decoration or greenery. There are only a couple of small areas where the experience could be improved. As this is a five-star hotel, we expected the complimentary bottled water, coffee capsules, and tea to be replenished daily, as is the case in other five-star Eurostars hotels we have visited. Also, while the underground parking is excellent, the car lift was occasionally unreliable, and we once had to wait around 20 minutes to access the garage. Overall, this is a fantastic hotel with beautiful facilities, an excellent breakfast, and a very high standard of comfort. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely fabulous experience staying one night with the hotel. We arrived extra early and they still got us a room available. The staff was so nice. The room was great as well and we loved the shower. The location is perfect to explore the city. The pool was a bit chilly but perfect for the bit of a heat wave. Highly highly recommended.

Parking can be a challenge, I recommend reversing into the car elevator so you can drive out! It's more difficult to reverse out into a closed carpark or onto a pedestrian street with people walking past from blindspots, but by reversing into the car elevator and driving out it's much safer

The breakfast buffet (added fee) has a huge array of foods and all were very good. Restaurant/bar in lobby is also great. Lovely patio/pool area on second floor. They have a parking garage (added fee) around the corner, which was very useful, but ask for directions before you arrive - it's a little tricky to get to. Mainly I want to commend the staff for their gracious hospitality toward our large group. The VRBO country house we'd booked for the eclipse was cancelled by the owners on the day of our scheduled arrival, so we booked 6 rooms for 11 people at this hotel at the very last minute. The hotel staff dealt with our registrations with efficiency, accommodated our special requests with generosity, and tolerated our boisterousness with good humor. David in particular is a GEM and really helped to make our birthday/retirement/eclipse celebration a memorable one. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely book again should I return to Valladolid.

Terrible experience at this hotel. Pool was not open despite it being advertised on the website. Parking was very difficult to find with no prior communication

A spotless hotel in a great location, just a 7-minute walk from the station and around 10 minutes from the old town. Everywhere is easily walkable, which made it a very convenient base for exploring the city. Breakfast offered a wide selection, with fresh juice, plenty of fresh fruit, and a good choice of hams and cheeses. The only disappointment was that the eggs weren’t cooked to order and, unfortunately, the bacon and some of the other hot food were cold while we were eating. Our room had a lovely terrace overlooking the small paddling pool, which we seemed to have almost entirely to ourselves. I had requested a double bed, but we were given two single beds pushed together. Sadly, they kept separating during the night, so we did occasionally find ourselves disappearing into the gap! Overall, we enjoyed our stay and found the hotel clean, comfortable and very well located for exploring the city.

We stayed in the San Sebastian one so we knew this one would be good. The rooms look to have been recently refurbished. Breakfast was delicious. I parked outside in Blue bays free of charge no problem.

Essential Tips for Choosing Your Valladolid City Centre Hotel

Before you finalise your booking, it is worth considering a few practical details that can significantly improve your stay. Valladolid’s city centre is highly walkable, but the layout, parking rules, and seasonal events can affect your experience. The following tips will help you choose the right property and avoid common pitfalls, ensuring your visit is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

  1. Check Parking Options Before You Arrive. Many streets in the old town are pedestrian-only or restricted to residents. If you are driving, confirm whether your hotel has its own garage, valet service, or an agreement with a nearby public car park. Driving into the centre without a plan can be stressful and time-consuming.

  2. Ask About Interior-Facing Rooms for Quiet. Valladolid is famous for its lively nightlife, especially around the tapas districts. While being close to the action is convenient, it can also mean late-night noise. Request a room that faces an interior courtyard or a higher floor if you are a light sleeper.

  3. Plan Your Visit Around Local Festivals. The city hosts major events like the Semana Internacional de Cine (SEMINCI) in October and the Semana Santa processions in spring. During these periods, the best city centre hotels fill up months in advance and rates rise. Book early if your travel dates coincide with a festival.

  4. Embrace the Tapas Culture. Many city centre hotels are within a five-minute walk of the best tapas bars, so you may not need a full restaurant dinner. Look for hotels that offer a light breakfast or none at all, allowing you to save room for the free pinchos that come with your drinks in the evening.

  5. Confirm Air Conditioning in Summer. Castilian summers can be intensely hot, with temperatures often exceeding 35°C. While most modern hotels have excellent climate control, some historic properties in restored buildings may have weaker systems. Always verify that your room has reliable, individually controlled air conditioning.

Choosing to stay in the centre of Valladolid means you are placing yourself directly inside the story of the city. The convenience of stepping out of your hotel and immediately being surrounded by golden sandstone facades, bustling plazas, and the aroma of roasting lamb is an experience in itself.

No matter which of these excellent hotels you choose, you will be well positioned to discover the art, history, and gastronomy that make Valladolid such a rewarding destination. Take your time, choose the property that best matches your personal style, and prepare to fall under the spell of this elegant Spanish city.
