Visiting the Musée d’Orsay is a feast for the eyes, but exploring its vast collection of Impressionist masterpieces can work up a serious appetite. Whether you are traveling with children, on a romantic getaway, or simply trying to maximize your time in Paris, finding a quick meal is often a top priority. The area surrounding the former railway station is bustling with energy, yet it can be surprisingly difficult to spot a reliable, fast, and satisfying bite if you do not know where to look.
While Paris is famous for its leisurely, multi-course lunches, the reality of tourism often requires a faster pace. You might have a timed entry ticket to another museum, a Seine river cruise to catch, or simply tired feet that need a quick refuel before moving on. Fortunately, the neighborhood around the 7th arrondissement offers a diverse mix of French bakeries, international chains, and local sandwich shops designed to get you fed without wasting an hour of your day.
One of the biggest mistakes visitors make is settling for overpriced tourist traps directly facing the museum entrance. These establishments often rely on foot traffic rather than repeat customers, leading to mediocre quality and inflated prices. By walking just a few blocks away from the main esplanade, you can discover authentic French fast food, known as "restauration rapide," that offers better value and a more genuine taste of local life.
From freshly baked baguettes stuffed with ham and butter to gourmet burgers and quick Asian noodles, the culinary landscape here is surprisingly varied. The key is knowing which spots cater to a quick turnaround without sacrificing the quality that French cuisine is known for. This guide focuses on establishments where you can typically be in and out in under 30 minutes, allowing you to get back to your cultural exploration.
We have considered proximity, walking distance, price point, and speed of service to curate this list. Whether you are looking for a savory crêpe to eat on the go or a quick sit-down spot to rest your legs, there is an option for every palate and budget. All of these locations are within a reasonable stroll from the museum’s main entrance, ensuring you won’t lose valuable sightseeing time.
It is important to note that "fast food" in Paris doesn’t always mean American-style burgers and fries, though those exist too. It often refers to bakeries (boulangeries), crêperies, and Middle Eastern or Asian eateries that specialize in efficient service. These are perfect for a traveler who wants to experience local flavors without the formality of a traditional brasserie.
Below is a curated list of the best fast food spots near the Musée d’Orsay, selected for their speed, quality, and proximity to the museum. You will find a mix of classic French snacks and international options to satisfy any craving.

TOUR FOOD is such a great spot, perfectly located right in front of Hôtel La Comtesse Tour Eiffel, which makes it super convenient and easy to find.
The food is really good and full of flavor, and the customer service makes the experience even better. The employees are welcoming, kind, and always greet you with a nice smile.
The kebab is so delicious, especially with the jalapeño fries—absolutely amazing. The steak sandwich is great too, juicy and satisfying, served with crispy fries.
If you’re staying at Hôtel La Comtesse or walking near the Eiffel Tower and want tasty food with great service, TOUR FOOD is a must-try. Highly recommended! 👌🥙🍟✨

Is a good place to order fast food. They have a big menu with differents foods. Is yummy and cheap. Good place 👍

There was hair in my food, the meat is chewy and hard, like it was left out for a few days. I had stomach problems the next day after eating this, and I am disgusted. I had the kebab, I would not recommend eating here!
Chelsea★★★☆☆
Enjoyed how convenient the location and price of the meals were. We purchased Kebab Menu (the combo) Food was not too bad, would have like if the sauces had a bit more flavour and the meat. Overall, if you want something easy to eat and affordable this is a good option.

My husband and I were wandering through the streets of Paris when we discovered this gem—and it ended up being the highlight of our day, without question. The service was fantastic - bonus, they speak perfect English. The value is exceptional given the generous portions and the quality of the ingredients. I would recommend coming….super yummy doner!

McDonald’s was clean and well-maintained, with a pleasant dining area and tidy tables. The service was a bit slow, but the staff were courteous and the food met expectations.

Came looking for the fabled French McDonald's experience, and I was NOT disappointed! Burger and nuggets were delivered to the well-decorated upstairs only 3min after I ordered.
Vincent Cheng★☆☆☆☆
Extremely slow service! I waited for more than 25minutes just to get my meal. This is far from the quick service I expect from McDonald's. If you are in a hurry, I would suggest going elsewhere. Very frustrating experience.
Evusnik★★★☆☆
Food was a bit tasteless and served in plastic containers which is a bit unappealing. Staff were efficient and friendly. You can order in person or via computer system, there is table service which seems to be the only option (to my knowledge). The view from upstairs is very nice. Toilets aren’t free and cost 1€, even if you order food.

Prettiest McDonald’s I’ve seen! The exterior really gives off a Parisian vibe. It gets packed around noon, but there’s additional seating upstairs — and the view from up there is great! The food was better than expected, though the cinnamon roll was a bit dry.

I have never heard the Quick chain until I came to France. And if you haven't been there, you do not need to bother. Quick feels like the French or European version of BurgerKing (being the secondary brand) giving Whopper vibes. At least, Whoppers are char-grilled and definitely taste different than McDonalds, in a good way.
Well not at Quick. Quick serves cardboard meat burgers that after a single bite, my kids could not proceed through. They look fabulous on the walls and advertisements but absolutely disastrous in terms of taste and quality of the food.
Only giving it 2 stars because the interior was really clean and well air-conditioned.
I hear that Burger King is actually taking over Quick. I'm not surprised.

Fast food chain, good food for good value. We were able to find a place easily when we visited (sunday night)

My burger had a fried fly as a free gift! 🪰And the best part is the staff won't even admit there's a problem, instead they claim it's "impossible". Well you be the judge of that. They gave me a new burger free of charge, and the cashier was very nice so 2/5
Mako_2230★★☆☆☆
Just bought an XL Super Classique burger with Grand Frites for takeout. I have to say that it was not a good burger. The burger is dry, and squashed, and the fries are dry & tasteless. To add insult to injury, even though there are 3 girls making up the order, I got a standard Coke instead of a Cherry Coke like I ordered, I asked without ice, but it came with ice, and there was no ketchup or basliic ketchup that was supposed to come with the order. Very disappointing considering it’s not very busy. Wait until next week with all the Olympics visitors, this restaurant will struggle. Maybe I should try McDonalds or 5 Guys next time.
Ed F.★☆☆☆☆
Tried their Burger and was as dry as Sand. You can't eat these burgers without drinking galons of water.
Can't recommend it! But ...
There is a five Guys near by 😜

Veggie burger should be changed as “onion burger”, I didn’t check the description as I was in rush, I was looking for vegetarian “burger” inside but it’s just onion rings. Same for the gluten-free option- you should be aware, there is no gluten-free bread, they just remove the existing bread

This is really good value for the money. Nice clean restaurant. Good food. And for 20€ 2 burgers, fries, sauces and 5 strips is really good value. Thank you ❤️

The milkshake machine was down… but no worries—Five Guys was right around the corner 😂

The place is nice and the atmosphere is good. The burger was fine, though a bit undercooked for my taste and the cheese could have been more melted. The portion felt small compared to the price. Overall, a decent experience, but not one I’d rush back for.

ordered a margarita pizza. got this, asked for a margarita pizza ans was told that this is there margarita pizza. this is obviously just a cheese pizza. no basil or anything. disappointed in the service, made fun of us. if you want to stay in business I suggest you treat tourists like people and not be to lazy to remake a pizza.

This is a snack stand down at river level.
Atmosphere is nice. Clean area and plenty of tables. Can watch the boats go by and is quiet.
Very close to Musée D’Orsay.
Service was fast and friendly.
Food was subpar.
We ate:
1) Pizza Margarita and Pizza Classica. Both were dry any sauce that had been on them had evaporated long before it was served to us. They are thick crust “pizza” and basically it was a flavored piece of bread. Not good. To an American this is closer to a focaccia than a pizza and we figured out why. 2 of 5.
2) Focaccia sandwich w pesto mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes. This was a better entree. Maybe a 3 of 5. Maybe. It is the same focaccia bread as the “pizza” was made from, cut in half and then the ingredients inside to make a sandwich. It is then grilled like a panini. This keeps the inside moist and makes for a better sandwich. Not good. But better.
We got the combo “formula” meals which came with drink and dessert.
For dessert we had Nutella filled donuts and vanilla ice cream.
My daughter LOVES Nutella. She took one bite and cringed. Said it “tasted like they put Nutella on a brioche bun”. Couldn’t eat it. See pic. Looks like a hamburger.
The vanilla ice cream was better yet my wife said it “tasted like a bottle of vanilla extract”. Very strong and not natural vanilla flavor.
R Bryant★★★★★
Good, quick meal. Pizza was a typical premade, reheated pie, but was great when no time for a sit-down meal.

This place has the chance to be in one of my favourites spots in Paris. The ambience is so cool with all the skaters all around, with their music, people jogging 👟 here and there, familiar, friendly. Mozza & Co. Might not be the number one of the places around but it's alright. Why not to try?

This place is simply magical! The food was absolutely delicious — we had the onion soup, and it was the best onion soup both my mother and I have ever had! They also have an amazing crème brûlée 🙂
The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the waiters were wonderful! One of the waitresses even spoke our language — we are from Ukraine.
We came to Paris for vacation, so if you want to enjoy a delicious meal after a walk in a beautiful and cozy place, this is definitely the perfect spot for you!

I tried their signature chicken dish and a ribeye steak. Both were well prepared and tasty.
However, do not buy water here, as it is very expensive. Other than that, I have no complaints. The staff were nice too.

I had a great experience dining here by myself. The juice was especially fresh and tasty. I would like to give special thanks to Mary for her excellent service. She was very friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout my visit. Her positive attitude and professionalism made my dining experience even more enjoyable.

Great restaurant, great food and great service from our waiter, Tom! The foie gras is goose liver (not duck in most other restaurants). Duck confit was exquisite. Tom is a hardworking and very honest waiter that provides excellent service. I’ll give this a Michelin star if I get to recommend. Right next to Musee d’Orsay. Love it!!
Matthew de Monte★★★☆☆
Popped in for a quick bite to eat before visiting the museum.
Decent enough food. Tasty. However when asked ‘would you like fries or a salad with your Croque Monsieur?’ I made the assumption either came with it. You would, wouldn’t you, especially as it was €15.
However neither does. An extra €6 for a salad. When the bill came I queried it and was fobbed off saying it wasn’t meant like it. No apology. No refund.
Such a shame as the food was very good and the service, up until that point, friendly.
Of course the restaurant will say they didn’t mean it. That the extras were not referenced on the menu. To me, they did mean it and I fell for it, like a lot of tourists would.
If customer service and satisfaction was important they’d have taken off the €’s for the salads as this was obviously a mistake. They didn’t.
Go, as, although expensive it’s good, but beware of falling for the ‘language’ used. Don’t get ripped off.

I came here, the man was very nice, the man took my recipept after I ordered kiosk. I order taco, it's a taco restaurant. The man gave me a buzzer after I handed the man my recipept. I was waiting at the checkout to pay for my order when the staff member walked away and left me there. I waited for over 10 minutes, and nobody bothered to help me or take my order. This was an extremely disappointing experience, and I have never seen such bad service at a Burger King.

Dirty The place was dirty, and the space is ridiculously small for the number of people in this area. The staff is seriously lacking in training and professionalism; they're unintelligible, and there's complete disorganization. It's unbelievable that in 2026 they haven't taken advantage of technology to improve service. I absolutely do not recommend it.

Authentic filthy experience. Traveling the world not even in India I saw a place that smelled to rotten soda, dirty pigeons on tables, disgusting toilet, and powerful bins smelling to rot. Avoid! Perhaps the worst burger king in the world.
Alexys Decampo★☆☆☆☆
They close at 2am but denied service at 1am after a World Cup match. I’m hungry and upset. Get your staff right
Luis Esquivel★☆☆☆☆
If you love your family, do not eat here. If there’s ever going to be a restaurant where the next coronavirus starts, it’s definitely this Burger King.
I have never eaten in a place where you have to watch for bird droppings while rushing through your food just to get out as fast as possible. This was by far the worst fast-food experience I’ve ever had.
And look, when you go to Burger King, you already know it’s not a five-star restaurant. You’re just expecting a quick burger and fries, something simple to fill you up. But I kid you not, I had to rush through my meal making sure bird droppings didn’t land on my food. Totally disgusting.

The staff were polite and apologized when I mentioned my concern, but I was disappointed with the €8.7 protein shake. It was mostly foam (picture below), so it felt like there was much less actual drink than expected. I understand the protein mix may foam, but I think it should be allowed to settle or topped up before being served.

Kind of like fast food.
Toasted chicken sandwich was good. Big. Luckily I shared it with my sis.
detox Soup with miso and turmeric was barely warm. Should have gotten the spinach soup instead.
Not expensive. Good choice for late breakfast.

All the burgers were delicious (our fave was the Bartholome) especially with the added perk of 50% off via The Fork! Service was friendly, ambience can’t be faulted.

Super friendly staff and cute place. Chicken burgers and chicken tenders were super tasty. Love the fries as well
Leevis★★★★★
As an American who's eaten burgers all over the U.S.—including New York, Texas, and California—I never expected the best burger I'd ever have to be in Paris. But Big Fernand completely exceeded every expectation.
The burger was phenomenal. The beef was perfectly seasoned all the way through, the French cheese was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the bacon and caramelized onions brought everything together perfectly. Every ingredient tasted high quality, and the fries were just as impressive.
On top of the amazing food, the prices were extremely reasonable, especially for such a central location in Paris. The staff were welcoming, and they even provided complimentary water, which was a thoughtful touch.
If you're visiting Paris and love burgers, do yourself a favor and eat here. It's an absolute hidden gem and easily one of the best meals I had during my trip.

I can truly recommend this place with all my heart. The food is excellent — everything tastes homemade and you can tell it’s prepared with care. I had a cheeseburger, and my girlfriend had the avocado burger. We’ve been eating burgers for years, but these were something special. The size and portions of the burgers are perfect, and they were prepared super quickly. Moreover, the service is kind and patient (which could be unusual in Paris).

These were great hamburgers, not your fast food chain burger at all. I order the Mexican, came with jalapeños! It’s was juicy and the buns were nicely buttered and toasted, the buns smelled so good. The fancy fries were delicious. Would definitely recommend. The missing star on atmosphere is because it was hot outside and A/C would give this place the 5th star.

I usually don’t leave reviews for fast food restaurants but I felt I needed too because the service was truly exceptional.
I came in with my little sister who is autistic and one the employees there, a short girl with short dark hair, was just incredibly nice and understanding of our situation. We went here on Sept 29, 2023 and there were at least 5 rats we could see coming out from under the restaurant and into the trash cans. Makes me nauseous thinking of what the kitchen sees and what happens after the lights go out. We ordered a sundae and double espresso though, which were decent.

If you’re a tourist or even a local, this is literally the worst McDonald’s in Paris, if not France. The worst service you will ever receive with the attitude to match. I tried their table service where you use the app to order your food brought to your table. I tried it, and after 20 minutes went downstairs to see why I still hadn’t received my food, only to see it sitting on the counter. As I walk up, two workers are actually laughing about who’s going to take the order up. It has already been 15 minutes since the notification that my food was on its way. The manager was standing there with them, hearing the laugh, and said nothing to either of them. I said that’s my order, and it’s been 15 minutes. The long-haired guy goes oh la la and walks away. I take the tray, and walking up the stairs, I realize, wait, this food is ice cold. As I bring it back down the stairs, turning the corner, the drink falls. This is where the balding, overweight manager in his yellow-stained white shirt says he’s not replacing the food. Because I spiked the drink, I said it doesn’t matter if I spilled the drink; the food was cold, and I waited over 15 minutes from when the app said the food was coming. He said, I’m not replacing it. Of course there’s absolutely zero way to receive or contact anyone on the French McDonald’s app via email. You have to either write or call, which of course isn’t possible for a tourist. I would attach the video and photos, but I'm sure they'll have it removed. So they stole my money, and I never got my food.
Tips for Eating Quickly and Affordably Near the Musée d’Orsay
Navigating the Parisian food scene can be tricky if you are in a rush, but a little local knowledge goes a long way. The area around the museum is a mix of high-end government buildings and residential streets, meaning the best fast options are often hidden on side streets rather than the main boulevards. Here are some essential tips to help you eat like a local while keeping your schedule on track.
Avoid the "Formule" if you are in a rush. Many cafes offer a "formule" or set menu that is a great deal, but it often includes multiple courses that take time to serve and eat. If you need to be quick, order "à la carte" and stick to a single main item or a sandwich. This allows you to control the pace of your meal and avoid waiting for the check.
Look for "Boulangeries" rather than restaurants. In France, the bakery is the original fast food joint. A traditional boulangerie will sell sandwiches, quiches, and pastries that are made fresh daily. You can grab a "Jambon-Beurre" (ham and butter baguette) or a slice of quiche lorraine for a fraction of the price of a sit-down cafe, and the quality of the bread is usually exceptional.
Embrace the "Sur Place" vs. "À Emporter" distinction. When you order, you will be asked if you want your food "sur place" (to eat in) or "à emporter" (to go). Prices can sometimes differ, with a small premium for sitting down. If the weather is nice, choose "à emporter" and walk to the Seine or the Tuileries Garden for a picnic with a view, saving money and time.
Check the opening hours. Unlike some major cities, many Parisian businesses close in the afternoon between lunch and dinner service. If you are visiting the museum in the late afternoon (around 3 PM to 5 PM), some smaller bakeries might be closed or out of fresh stock. Plan to eat before 2:30 PM or after 6:30 PM to ensure the widest variety of options is available.
Don’t skip the Crêperies. A crêpe is one of the fastest and most portable meals you can buy in Paris. Look for a crêperie that makes them fresh to order; a "galette" (savory buckwheat crêpe filled with cheese, ham, or egg) is substantial enough to count as a meal. They are usually folded into a cone shape, making them easy to eat while walking to your next destination.
Exploring the area around the Musée d’Orsay doesn’t have to mean surviving on stale sandwiches or overpriced sodas. With a little planning and the willingness to walk a block or two away from the main tourist flow, you can enjoy a delicious, quick meal that fuels the rest of your Parisian adventure. The culinary landscape here proves that fast food can still be fresh, flavorful, and distinctly French.
Whether you choose a classic buttery pastry, a savory crêpe, or a modern take on the burger, taking the time to refuel is essential for enjoying the art and architecture around you. Bon appétit and happy exploring.
