Finding the right place to stay in Paris is often about striking a balance between iconic landmarks and practical logistics. The area surrounding the Arc de Triomphe offers a unique sweet spot for families, placing you at the center of the city’s grand history while keeping you connected to the rest of the metropolis. Unlike quieter residential neighborhoods, this district buzzes with energy, yet it remains surprisingly navigable for those traveling with children.
The appeal of this area extends beyond the monument itself. You are steps away from the luxurious shopping of the Champs-Élysées, but also within walking distance of the sprawling green lawns of the Bois de Boulogne and the family-friendly exhibits at the Palais de Tokyo. The wide boulevards, designed by Haussmann, make maneuvering a stroller significantly easier than in the narrow, winding streets of the Latin Quarter or Montmartre.
From a logistical standpoint, this neighborhood is a transportation powerhouse. The Charles de Gaulle–Étoile station serves multiple Metro and RER lines, meaning you can get from your hotel to Disneyland Paris, the Eiffel Tower, or the Louvre without a complicated series of transfers. This reduces the "are we there yet?" fatigue that often accompanies family travel in large cities.
When selecting a family hotel here, the definition of "family-friendly" goes beyond just having a rollaway bed. We look for properties that offer interconnected rooms, which are essential for privacy, or spacious suites that can comfortably accommodate four or more guests without feeling claustrophobic. The noise level is another critical factor, as the traffic around the Arc can be relentless.
We have also considered the "soft" touches that make a trip easier: concierge services that can pre-book high chairs, kitchens or kitchenettes for preparing simple meals for picky eaters, and staff who are accustomed to the beautiful chaos that comes with traveling with children. A welcoming attitude toward young guests can transform a standard hotel stay into a truly relaxing vacation.
The following selection focuses on hotels that combine these practical amenities with a prime location. Whether you are looking for a luxurious palace experience or a more budget-conscious apartment-style stay, these options provide a safe and comfortable base for your Parisian adventure. Each property has been evaluated for its ability to reduce friction for parents while maximizing the magic for kids.
Below, we have compiled a detailed list of the best family-friendly accommodations near the Arc de Triomphe, organized to help you find the perfect fit for your travel style and budget.

Nice hotel!
The rooms are clean and the location is very convenient. The customer service was outstanding, especially Anthony at the front desk. He was so kind, friendly, and very nice to talk to!
My only recommendation would be to replace the carpets in the rooms, as they seem a little old.
Overall, a great stay for the price

I stayed at ELSA Hôtel Paris with reasonable expectations, but the overall experience was average rather than memorable.
The location is acceptable and works if you plan to explore Paris, although I would not describe it as one of the hotel’s strongest advantages. The building itself feels dated from the moment you arrive. The entrance gives an older first impression, and with only one small elevator, moving around the hotel can be inconvenient, especially during busy hours.
My biggest concern was cleanliness. Nothing was seriously wrong, but there were several small details that made the room feel less well maintained than I expected. Individually they may seem minor, yet together they affected the overall comfort of the stay.
This is not a bad hotel, but I believe there are better options in Paris at a similar price point. For me, the experience did not justify choosing it again.

I had a really lovely stay at Hotel Elsa. The location was perfect for enjoying Paris, and the view made it even more special. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the whole place had a very welcoming feeling. Tamana and Anthony were both wonderful.. genuinely kind, helpful, and made us feel taken care of. Would definitely stay here again for the 3rd time .

My fiancé and I had an amazing stay at ELSA. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We stayed during the recent heatwave and the airconditioning was a life-saver. Such an easy walk to the Arc de Triomphe, metro, and lots of great restaurants and bakeries. Highly recommend!

Hotel ELSA is a charming boutique hotel in a beautifully updated older building. The rooms and elevator are small, but that’s part of the classic Paris experience. The location is outstanding — just steps from the Arc de Triomphe and the Charles de Gaulle–Étoile Metro. Line 1 from Étoile takes you straight to the Louvre and into the Marais without ever going above ground.
The staff is warm, welcoming, and speaks excellent English (far better than my high‑school French). Coffee is available anytime from the lobby machine, and the minibar was free on the first night, which was a nice touch. There’s a restaurant next door and a great café right across the street.
Overall, a wonderful hotel in a perfect location for exploring Paris. I’d happily stay here again.

What a wonderful hotel. The rooms are well appointed, with what looks like upgraded bathroom with toiletries you want to take home. The staff are extremely polite and helpful, and the location is very close to the Arc de Triomphe, metro, and very good restaurants. Highly recommend!

Terrible service. I was advised by my doctor that it would be unsafe for me to travel to Paris in the extreme heat, this hotel would not refund me. They do not care about their guest’s health or customer service, they only care about selling rooms. There are much nicer and more service minded hotels in Paris, you should stay elsewhere.
Thierry Pouille★★★★★
Arriving once again at Hotel Dadou on 10 Rue Troyon felt less like checking into a hotel and more like slipping back into a familiar chapter of my own Paris story. The Arc de Triomphe was just around the corner, the city humming as always, yet the moment I stepped through Dadou’s door, the outside world softened into a pleasant backdrop. A warm greeting at the front desk, a few shared smiles of recognition, and that gentle buzz in the lobby—coffee cups clinking, the faint scent of fresh pastries—told me I was exactly where I wanted to be. I wasn’t just returning to Paris; I was coming home.
This time, there was something new to look forward to: room 66, tucked up high in the roofline, like a little Parisian hideaway above the streets. The room was snug and cleverly laid out, a perfect blend of Haussmannian bones and playful Dadou personality, with vintage-inspired touches and a bed dressed in those impossibly inviting linens that make early mornings feel negotiable. Beyond the doorway, sunlight spilled onto a small balcony with two chairs—a simple luxury that instantly became my favorite corner of the city.
From that little perch in the sky, Paris felt both intimate and infinite. With a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening, I could sit back and watch rooftops shift in the changing light, hear the distant murmur of traffic along the grand avenues, and catch snippets of daily life unfolding below. The balcony turned every pause in the day into a scene: hurried commuters, strolling couples, the occasional siren, and the ever-present silhouette of the Arc just a short stroll away. It was the kind of vantage point that makes you feel quietly privileged—close to everything, yet just removed enough to savor it all

Will start with the positives: lovely room, comfy, love the balcony and quiet street. Beautiful bathroom and nice shower. Staff was kind.
I’m not one to complain, but there were certainly things that need to be improved.
Firstly, as soon as we booked we emailed to ask for a late check-out and were confirmed in writing to stay until 3:30pm (which we were going to pay for). This was vital to our trip because we had a wedding the night before, I am a lactating woman and had to plan my trip around my pumping schedule, etc. Upon arrival we were told this is no longer possible because someone else booked the room, which I understand; however, we should have been informed immediately via email given that there was no indication that there’s a possibility of us not being able to check-out late. It seemed like this was confirmed in our email exchange.
Second, breakfast is 22 euros and runs from 7-10:30am, 11 on weekends. Luckily, we got breakfast complimentary because our TV didn’t work for 2 days, however, make sure you get to breakfast at 7am. I arrived at 9 and there was was basically some cheese and bread left (no quiche, barely any eggs) and the staff stated that they do not replenish the food once things run out. So basically you could pay 22 euros for bread and cheese if you get there too late and everyone else ate everything.
Third, our check out/flight was on New Year’s Eve. We checked our suitcases in with the staff since we were leaving later in the day. At no point did anyone think to tell us that ALL of the streets surrounding the hotel would be closed later in the day because of NYE festivities by the Arc de Triomphe. Given that most people staying in a hotel are tourists, traveling to and from airports to catch flights, I feel like the hotel has some responsibility to inform guests of major delays. Needless to say, we found out the hard way.

Stayed at Dadou Paris because it was close to Place de l'Etoile where I needed to be for business purposes. It is close to the Champs Elisés and the Eiffel Tower not far on foot. It's a small and charming hotel. It is tastefully decorated. Rooms are small (not uncommon in Paris!) but confortable. Bedding is luxurious. The Bathroom with rain shower is top (loved the tiles). Breakfast buffet was tasteful and originals (Waffles, sugar bread, large choice of cheeses, quiche, ....) . There's a spa (but I didn't make use of it)

Clean. Location great. Air conditioning works good. Yes, it's small rooms - but, welcome to Paris.
Bed comfortable.
A bit loudly in mornings, so would suggest to keep windows closed.
Breakfast could be more rich, but enough. All products fresh.

Our experience at Hôtel Arc de Triomphe Etoile was truly wonderful. The value for money was excellent, especially considering the location and the time of year. The hotel is just steps away from the Arc de Triomphe, with two different metro stations and plenty of transportation options nearby, making it incredibly easy to explore Paris.
The staff were exceptional—warm, professional, and always ready to help. They kindly held our luggage after check-out at no extra cost, which made our last day in the city so much more convenient.
The hotel itself is cozy, clean, and well-maintained, offering everything needed for a comfortable stay. For couples, it’s a perfect choice: central yet quiet, welcoming, and reasonably priced.
We wholeheartedly recommend Hôtel Arc de Triomphe Etoile to anyone visiting Paris. It’s a rare combination of location, service, and value that makes it stand out among hotels in this area. We would happily stay here again on our next trip.

This was hands down one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The reception staff were cold and unhelpful, management was nowhere to be found when things went wrong, and the room let’s just say I’ve stayed in cleaner hostels. Customer service? Nonexistent. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, not even for a quick layover. Stay literally anywhere else.
Dear to whom it may concern,
Thank you for your response.
However, I must firmly and unequivocally clarify that the statements outlined in your message do not reflect the reality of our experience during our stay.
Contrary to your assertion, the reception desk was not consistently staffed by trained personnel. On several occasions, guests myself included were assisted by individuals who appeared to be neither employees nor professionally trained, but acquaintances or unofficial representatives. This practice is not only unprofessional but compromises the standards expected of a hotel carrying your name.
With regard to your claim about a "strict payment protocol," I regret to inform you that no such procedure was observed. The handling of payment was disorganized, lacking transparency, and led to a double charge on our account for which no proper explanation or rectification has been provided. As for the hygiene protocol mentioned, the state of the facilities directly contradicts any notion of rigorous standards. I would suggest a thorough internal review before making such claims publicly.
Further, your statement that a discussion with management was conducted is factually incorrect. No such meeting took place, nor was any attempt made to offer appropriate compensation for the considerable inconveniences we encountered.
The only merit to highlight is your location, which admittedly is convenient. However, location alone does not compensate for the serious deficiencies in service, hospitality, and integrity that we experienced.
I urge you to reflect earnestly on this feedback and refrain from issuing misleading replies that contradict the documented and witnessed reality. Glossing over guest grievances with templated statements does no service to your reputation
Steven Lu★☆☆☆☆
If you are looking for a hotel that has mastered the art of deception this is it. The elevator fits 1.5 people, good lucky if you are traveling with others and have extra luggage. You need to leave the physical key at the desk when you leave the hotel (beware what you leave in the room). The rooms are no larger than closets. The door handle for my room (104) actually came off and i was moved to room (103) which is behind not one but two sets of doors for extra inconvenience. Try squeezing your luggage past a useless door to open another door with a metal key and not a key card. The shower was in the room almost touching the bed. Great fun for two friends, at least the toilet is behind a door.

We stayed here for 1 night. Though the room had a little extra space due to the tilting roof, the bed was extremely bad. It was very flimsy, and titled towards one side, even though we are not obese or bulky. Otherwise, hotel has good location and walkable metro station.

Hotel Ekta is a beautiful boutique hotel in a prime location just 2 min walk from the Champs Elysees. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms were very clean and aesthetically pleasing and even had a clothes steamer. Our elegance room had a nice sized bathroom with large shower. Wardrobes were helpful but the rest of the room was very tight with 2 check in and 2 carry on sized suitcases. The only things I think could be improved would be better lighting in the room, particularly on the wall with TV and full length mirror and bigger trash cans. Overall our stay was fantastic and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

I expected much more from a “4-star” hotel. Unfortunately, the check-in experience was one of the worst I have had.
I don’t know if the staff was tired or simply did not want to be there, but the attitude came across as condescending and unhelpful. There was a clear lack of assistance, patience, and basic hospitality. Any question I asked was mostly met with “no” or “read the document,” without any real explanation or effort to help.
When I asked about speaking with the manager, the response was also very unhelpful and dismissive. For a hotel presenting itself as 4-star, the service should be much better than this.
The room itself was okay, but definitely not at a 4-star level. AC stopped working in the middle of the night. Overall, the experience did not match the rating or expectations.
The only thing this hotel really has going for it is the location. Aside from that, I would not recommend it. If you can spend an extra $100 somewhere else, do so. I would have changed hotels myself if I could have done so without losing my entire payment.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in and that's not an exaggeration.
First of all, the location is perfect. Everything is within walking distance, whether you're looking for great restaurants, visiting the Arc de Triomphe, or exploring the incredible shops along the Champs-Élysées. For tourists wanting to make the most of their time in Paris, this hotel is ideally situated.
Secondly, the quality of the hotel and rooms is exceptional. As soon as you step into the lobby, you're greeted by beautiful mirrors and a stylish 1970s-inspired design. Although I wasn't alive during that era, the décor makes you feel completely immersed in it. The front desk staff are welcoming, professional, and efficient, making check-in quick and seamless.
When you enter your room, you're immediately struck by how clean and beautiful it is. The hotel perfectly balances a fun, artistic style with a professional and luxurious atmosphere. The cleanliness is outstanding every mirror, surface, corner, and handle is spotless. The housekeeping team clearly takes great pride in maintaining the property.
The amenities make the experience even better. The room includes a coffee machine, complimentary water, and chocolates, all of which add a thoughtful touch to your stay.
I would not be taking the time to write such a detailed review if I didn't truly believe this hotel deserved it. This is one of the best places I have ever stayed, and I would gladly return if given the opportunity.
In my opinion, this hotel deserves five-star recognition. The service, room quality, and unbeatable location make it worth the price. If you're visiting Paris and looking for a memorable stay, I highly recommend this hotel.

Great location, but the room was very small with an AC that hardly blows. We spend two out of three nights of torture. There is only one fan in the entire hotel. Ice was a very scared commodity. The hotel could of done a better job finding a solution earlier.

The location is very good and convenient for getting around. Breakfast options were minimal, and the overall service was inconsistent. Housekeeping did not clean the room or replace towels even when following the instructions on their signs saying where to place towels for replacement — you have to ask specifically at the desk. When we asked just for clean towels (not even full room service), the request was still denied because we “didn’t ask in the morning,” which was frustrating.
Front desk staff was mixed; some were friendly, others not so much. You’re also required to hand over your room key every time you leave, which adds to an overall strange vibe. Not the most comfortable stay.

we LOVED this hotel!! It was so clean and cute, and had so much space compared to other places that we stayed! It was so easy to check in/out and store our bags which we needed to do. The staff was super nice and treated us soooo very well! Absolutely would recommend to anyone!

Great hotel, we stayed during a 40°+ heatwave and the air conditioning in our room + ice water fountain in reception were absolute lifesavers. 5 stads for this alone!
The location is good, right by Charles de
Gualle-Etoile which serves as an interchange between numerous metro lines and RER. Restaurants and bakeries in this area are expensive, even for Paris.
Our room was small but sufficient, with a comfy bed. Rooms have keycard access, so can come and easily. The lift is slow but reliable.
Only problem was that the tap water in our room tasted off/ stagnant, (maybe served by a water tank?) But we just filled up at the fountain downstairs.

Excellent location and very comfortable rooms . Small and Chic boutique hotel - with many restaurants coffee shops around-
The only observation … the person in charge of breakfast was very rude - and definitely not client oriented. Throughout the service, he made an unnecessary amount of noise—aggressively clattering cutlery and slamming down plates while clearing tables. Breakfast is meant to be a pleasant start to the day, but his hostile behavior and disruptive noise completely ruined the atmosphere and degraded what should have been a high-quality hotel experience. Hotel management needs to address his customer service conduct immediately.

We loved our stay here. The location is great. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The room we stayed in was clean, was serviced every day, and while it wasn't huge it was a great size for us. The window in our room opened into the courtyard which was pretty and peaceful. The breakfast was excellent. There is no doubt we will stay here again, the next time we are in Paris.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Balmoral in Paris this week and can highly recommend it.
We were traveling as a family with our small dog, and even before arrival the hotel was very welcoming about bringing him along. On arrival, we were delighted to find that our room had been upgraded and thoughtfully prepared with dog bowls and a dog basket. Such a lovely gesture, and a great example of the outstanding service throughout our stay.
The breakfast was also excellent, and the location is very convenient: parking is just around the corner and not a problem, and many of Paris’s major sightseeing spots are within walking distance.
A fantastic hotel with warm, attentive service — we would happily stay here again.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel and would definitely return. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, they really couldn’t do enough for us, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
The location was perfect, right near the Arc de Triomphe, and everything felt very clean and well-kept, both inside the hotel and around the surrounding streets. It wasn’t overly busy either, which made it feel relaxed and comfortable.
We stayed for three nights (20th–23rd March) and booked bed and breakfast. The breakfast was lovely, there wasn’t a huge selection, but there was more than enough variety and everything was fresh and enjoyable. The hotel itself was spotless, and we really appreciated the daily room cleaning and bed-making.
One of the highlights was how walkable everything was. We chose not to use the metro and instead explored on foot, which made the trip even more special. The Eiffel Tower was around a 30–40 minute walk away, and we loved discovering the city along the way. Over three days, we walked around 14 miles visiting different sights, and it was such a great way to experience Paris.
The only downside was that food and drinks in the area were quite expensive, although that may just be typical for Paris.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay and would happily visit both the hotel and Paris again.

Since it was our first time in Paris, I wanted to make sure that my sister and I (and my dog) were close to as many popular sights as possible. Hotel Balmoral delivered! It was just down the street from the Arc de Triomphe, and a short walk away from the Eiffel Tower. While we were taking in everything around us, our Parisian experience really started when we first pulled up to the hotel. We were greeted as we got out of the car by the team, who helped us carry our luggage all the way to the room. At check in, we were given a complimentary upgrade, which was a pleasant surprise and greatly appreciated! The room itself was pristine. It was the perfect size and the decor was elegant and chic. The view of the street just added to the feel of the environment around us. The entire team was courteous and professional during our stay. The person at the front desk even went as far as taking our luggage to the car that parked a bit further down the street than anticipated. Overall, Hotel Balmoral was exceptional and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to stay at a prime location in Paris.

We stayed at this hotel under the name Saad Majed, and our experience was very disappointing. Every time we called the front desk for help, we were told to “come down and take it ourselves.” Even when I called late at night because my daughter had thrown up on the bed sheets, the staff refused to bring replacements and told me to come get them and change the bed myself.
On top of that, we had to carry all our luggage down on our own — no assistance was offered at any point. Honestly, I can’t believe this place is rated as a 4-star hotel. The service and attitude felt more like a 2-star at best. Definitely not worth the price or the frustration.

Rooms are old, furniture overused and carpeted floor is dirty. The carpets and cushion needs a serious replacement.
Could be acceptable for a 2-star hotel. Unacceptable for a 4-star. Renovation is needed.

Prajnaneil Pal★★★★☆
A great-value one-night stay in a superb location.
The hotel is roughly a five-minute walk from the Arc de Triomphe, and we somehow landed a rate of around €150 — a genuine steal for this kind of hotel in this part of Paris.
The standout is the bathroom. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated, and the washroom is clearly part of that work — fresh, well-finished, and honestly better than you'd ever expect in an older building like this. It really lifted the whole stay; without it I'd be rating this much lower. The room, by contrast, is very small and shows its age — and it's not just the room: the lift, the stairs, everything is compact. Manoeuvring with two suitcases was a real struggle; there's barely space to open a trolley properly. The renovation touches are what make it livable, and the bathroom does a lot of the heavy lifting there.
Service is a mixed bag — it's a small operation with only three or four staff running the whole place, so I can't be too harsh. One day the receptionist was really friendly; another day, noticeably less so, so your experience will depend on who's on the desk. I'd call it around four stars, with the caveat that it's inconsistent. I visited during a heat wave and, importantly, the air conditioning worked perfectly — no complaints at all there. I skipped breakfast, as the spread looked small and underwhelming.
Overall: roughly four stars — a small, older room saved by an excellent renovated bathroom and a working AC, in a five-star location, at a price that made it well worth it. My honest recommendation: if you can get it at a steal rate like I did, it's a good stay; at full price you might weigh it differently.

Excellent hotel close to Arc to Triomphe. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very accommodating. Please note they only serve Bed and Breakfast. Although they can get drinks from the bar if you request. We had an early departure so they made us up a breakfast food to go with hot drinks. Thank you so much. Although disabled unfortunately they put us on the top floor. There is a lift. Next time I would request a lower floor. The rooms were like home to home with all toiletries.

Small hotel in an excellent location. Down a small Street turn right and ars de triomphe is about 100m away and Argentine metro station is 20m/30m away. On line 1 which goes to the centre of paris and links with nearly all the other lines.

What truly sets this hotel apart is its exceptional service. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back and become a loyal guest. A special thanks to Raquel and Kessy for their outstanding professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their hospitality is a true asset to the hotel.
The only thing is very annoying here is the house keeping itself it’s very poor in service. And three days in a row no one did bother himself to visit or change my room towels 🤷🏻♂️ or cleaning the room.
And that’s why am saying the service is well done indeed once I asked to fix it they did it immediately 🌹

We had a great stay at Chalgrin Boutique and received awesome service throughout our visit. The hotel is in a great location, right in the heart of many restaurants, stores, and tourist attractions. The customer service was exceptional—very friendly, fluent in English, and incredibly helpful with suggestions for local restaurants, places to visit, and the best ways to navigate the city. The rooms are small but that’s common for the area. Overall, we would happily stay here again.

This was our third stay at Hôtel Galileo Paris Champs-Élysées and once again it was an excellent experience.
From the very beginning, the entire staff made us feel at home. We would especially like to thank Basma and Anna at reception, Mala and Lilia from the breakfast service, Ilyas the technician, and Christelle the manager for their kindness, professionalism, and constant willingness to help. Basma was always attentive and welcoming us with a smile, which made our stay even more special.
I traveled with my mother, and the team truly provided us with every possible convenience and support, something we deeply appreciated.
The room was spotless, very comfortable, and extremely quiet. The beds are of outstanding quality, making it possible to rest perfectly after long days exploring Paris. The breakfast was also delicious, with a wide variety of fresh options.
The location is unbeatable: just steps away from the Champs-Élysées, right behind Louis Vuitton and very close to the Arc de Triomphe, making it incredibly convenient to enjoy the city.
We truly highly recommend this hotel and we are already looking forward to coming back.

Family vacation for a week in Paris. The hotel is in an amazing location and is very cute and well maintained. We very much enjoyed our stay. Housekeeping did a great job every day. And the hotel even found my daughter’s misplaced glasses. Highly recommend!

My stay at Hotel Galileo was truly wonderful and made my first visit to Paris even more special. the hospitality was warm and welcoming, which made me feel at home.
The room was spotlessly clean, neat, and very cozy, creating a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere .
The hotel has a lovely charm that adds to the whole Parisian experience.
I would especially like to thank Ms Basma,
who was incredibly helpful when I lost one of my bags on the way to the airport. She went above and beyond to assist me, and I truly appreciated her kindness, support and professionalism.
it was a beautiful experience, and I left with such lovely memories. I would absolutely stay here again on my next visit to Paris.
Highly recommended. ✨

Do not stay here!!! This hotel is maybe one step up from a hostel—and even that feels generous. They literally rent rooms by the afternoon. Need I say more? I have never in my life checked into a hotel and immediately felt as unsafe and uncomfortable as I did here.
Thankfully, we never even unpacked. We took one look around and knew there was absolutely no way we were staying. Gross. No thank you.
We were incredibly lucky to find the last available room at the Sax that night, and the difference was immediate. From the second we got out of the car, we were greeted with the warmest welcome, upgraded, and personally walked to our room while they showed us how everything worked. It was night and day.
I honestly don’t have anything positive to say about the Hidden Hotel, and I never write reviews like this, but I hope this saves someone else the headache of scrambling to find another hotel at midnight.
Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere!

This was my third stay at Hidden Hotel Paris, and once again, I had a wonderful experience.
I stayed for two nights, and from the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome and comfortable. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and attentive, and they always went the extra mile to accommodate any special requests.
Their warm and personal hospitality is what makes this hotel feel like a true home away from home. The atmosphere is peaceful, the rooms are comfortable, and the location is very convenient.
A big thank you to the entire Hidden Hotel team for making my stay so enjoyable. I will definitely be coming back again.

Had the best stay at this hotel. The welcome we had after a long travel day was much needed and in fact the service and attention to detail from all staff members was superb. Comfortable rooms and a super comfortable bed (and I'm extremely picky about my bed!!) Location was only a short 5 minute stroll to the arch de triumph. We felt comfortable as a family, walking around the streets after dark and explored many of the local cafes and bakeries. Would happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hidden Hotel is an amazing boutique gem in a fantastic, safe, and central location right by the Arc de Triomphe. It’s perfectly situated for getting anywhere in Paris.
We did experience an issue with our AC on the first night, but the way the team handled it was absolutely world-class. Guillaume at the front office and Ijlal, the manager, went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We were moved and upgraded to a beautiful new room with AC and everything included.
Incredible service that turned a minor hiccup into an unforgettable stay. Highly recommend this hotel, and a huge thank you to Ijlal and Guillaume!

Very disappointed with my three-night stay. This is far from a boutique hotel experience. It feels more like an upgraded hostel.
Everything is tiny, the room finishes are very average, and services are almost non-existent: no gym, no restaurant, impossible to have a glass of wine at 8pm as the bar is already closed, and poor-quality self-service coffee. At night, there was also a loud mechanical noise resonating through the walls.
The hotel is well located and the bed is comfortable. It could suit a student looking for somewhere to spend a night in Paris, but definitely not for a business stay.
I was also spoken to in a very unpleasant and confrontational manner by a member of staff. The manager was very kind and apologised, which I appreciated, but this remains completely unacceptable.
For my next business trip to Paris, I will definitely stay elsewhere.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hôtel de Sévigné,Paris.
From the moment we arrived, the welcome was exceptional. The team made us feel genuinely cared for, and that warm atmosphere stayed with us throughout the entire stay.
The location is simply perfect: just a short walk from the Arc de Triomphe and only a few minutes from Trocadéro (Eiffel tower), where you can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the Eiffel Tower. Being able to stay in such a privileged spot right in the heart of Paris felt like a real luxury.
The hotel itself is cosy, elegant, and incredibly welcoming. The room was beautifully appointed, with high-quality amenities and one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in. A special mention for the wonderfully soft bathrobe - such a small detail, but it made the experience even more enjoyable.
We also loved the breakfast: fresh, delicious, and tasty !.
This hotel was the ideal choice for a girls’ getaway, combining comfort, charm, and an unbeatable location. We left with wonderful memories and would happily return on our next trip to Paris. Highly recommended! ✨🇫🇷🗼

My partner and I booked our stay at Sévigné Hotel through Airbnb. Before arriving, we had already paid everything that was listed through the Airbnb booking platform. At no point during the booking process was there any mention of an additional city tax that would need to be paid upon arrival. To our surprise, when we checked in, we were told at reception that we had to pay a city tax. Had this been clearly stated in the Airbnb listing, it would not have been an issue, but the lack of transparency left a poor first impression.
Unfortunately, the experience continued to decline throughout our stay. Room service and housekeeping were disappointing. While the room was cleaned, basic hospitality standards such as replacing towels with fresh ones daily were not consistently met. For a hotel in such a great location, we expected a much better level of service and attention to detail.
The biggest issue came when my partner politely asked reception if a late checkout would be possible. We simply requested to stay until around 2:30–3:00 PM. At no point during that conversation was there any mention of a charge. Had we been informed that there would be a fee, we could have made a decision at that time. Instead, when we went to check out, the receptionist demanded €45 for the late checkout.
What made this particularly frustrating was not just the fee itself, but the way it was handled. We have stayed at numerous hotels, including many five-star properties, and have often been granted reasonable late checkouts as a courtesy when available. If the hotel was fully booked, a simple and professional response would have been: “Unfortunately, we cannot offer a late checkout today.” Instead, it felt as though every interaction was focused on extracting additional money from guests.
The attitude of the receptionist made the situation even worse. Rather than feeling welcomed or valued as guests, we felt like an inconvenience. Good hospitality is about creating a positive experience and making guests feel comfortable and appreciated. Sadly, that was not the case here.
What could have been a pleasant stay in Paris ended on a very disappointing note. The lack of transparency regarding additional charges, poor housekeeping standards, unexpected fees, and unfriendly customer service turned what should have been a positive experience into a frustrating one.
I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it based on our experience.

The hotel is just amazing. The welcome was so warm and the staff very nice.
I got a great room and very clean. In the morning, the breakfast was beyond my expectation. The hotel is near the "arc de Triomphe" and accessible to great restaurants around..
Thank you very much

Very good location, tidy rooms. We've enjoyed our stay in the hotel.
BUT! They will charge you €150,- as deposit for - i think - the minibar and as an assurance for not stealing anything out of the rooms. Understandable. But it takes A LONG TIME and several emails to get it refunded. Two weeks after our visit, nothing is transferred back. They promised it will be charged back at the moment we'd checked out. I big lie. They don't.
Hopefully they'll refund SOON.
Be aware, fellow travellers!

One of my best hotel experiences ever! The charm of Paris from the best angle: close to everything and yet quiet, comfortable at an affordable price… I can’t recommend enough this hotel! The staff is amazing, very professional and helpful, the rooms are super cozy and the place has been fully refurbished recently, which conveys an even more powerful impression of luxury and comfort at all levels. The breakfast is also a treat: genuine French croissant and pain au chocolat, and all the usual suspects as well (scrambled eggs, bacon, fruits, wide variety of hot and cold beverages, etc.) served in a bright and comfortable room. And when breakfast is done, whether for tourism or for work, everything is around: Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, the riverboats… and (as was my case) for the tight schedules of business travelers, so many businesses around are easy reach (whether walkable distance or easily reachable with a short taxi ride or from the major subway hub which is a few minutes away from the hotel). Can’t wait for my next stay! 🙂

My family and I recently stayed at Le Méridien Paris Arc de Triomphe (A Marriott Property) after booking two rooms directly through Marriott. Being w Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite member, we expected the level of service that normally comes with the Marriott brand.
Unfortunately, our experience was one of the most disappointing hotel stays we have ever had.
We arrived at approximately 11:30 a.m. on June 23 and were told our rooms were not yet ready. We were assured that we would receive a phone call as soon as they became available, so we left to spend the day exploring Paris. It was an extremely hot day, with temperatures approaching 40°C (104°F).
No one ever called.
After repeatedly contacting the hotel ourselves throughout the day, we finally received room keys at approximately 8:30 p.m.—about nine hours after arriving.
Unfortunately, the problems didn’t end there.
The following day, we had to move because the room assigned to us was not the room type we had reserved. Once again, we were told we would receive a phone call as soon as the correct room became available.
Once again, no one called.
We were unable to access the correct room until approximately 8:30 p.m., meaning we effectively lost most of a second day waiting for accommodations we had already paid for.
The most troubling incident occurred when my teenage son was issued a key to a room that was already occupied. Believing it was his assigned room, he opened the door and found another guest asleep inside. Thankfully, everyone remained calm, but this should never happen. It was an alarming security and privacy failure for both my son and the guest whose room had been incorrectly assigned.
To be fair, some members of the staff were courteous and genuinely tried to help once they became involved. My disappointment is not with every employee, but with the overall handling of the situation and the lack of communication throughout our stay.
I understand that hotels occasionally experience operational problems. What distinguishes a great hotel is how it responds. In our case, repeated promises were not kept, communication was poor, and a serious room assignment error significantly overshadowed what should have been a memorable family vacation in Paris.
I hope Marriott reviews its procedures to ensure that no future guest experiences similar issues.

Beautiful experience at the Le Meridien Paris, the staff were very welcoming always and eager to help all customers. Shout out to Oumina to check me in with an extensive list of overview of the hotel, excellent service. The rooms were small but who wants to stay at the hotel in paris !. The rooms AC is has a fixed temperature which after a cold shower you might not sweat so much, i think its a Europe issue.. the breakfast buffet was incredibly delicious and im very impressed with the service and amount of varieties at the buffet.
The lunch and dinner restaurant selection was very good and filling. I recommend personally the chocolate icecream, it was spot on.
The lobby is spacious, clean, smells great, and 24/7 vending service. The hotel has a terrace with a view of the Eiffel tower.
Overall highly recommend this hotel

Just checked into the hotel today for a business trip, and I had to leave a review specifically to thank Oumnia at the front desk. She was incredibly welcoming, professional, and had the best energy. Her great attitude and smooth check-in made all the difference. She is truly dedicated to her job and a fantastic asset to this hotel. Will definitely stay here again and will recommend it to friends and colleagues

Stayed 2 nights on separate occasions. First night room was nice but had a squeaky bed. Second occasion the room could have done with a bit of an update.
Staff members were generally nice and Kela out at the entrance was very helpful and friendly when getting transport and loading bags. However the male bartender was very rude.

The theft of my luggage was the direct result of the hotel’s failure to provide adequate security and to protect property entrusted to its staff.
Upon my arrival, I completed the check-in process and handed my luggage to the concierge, who accepted it on behalf of the hotel and assumed responsibility for its safekeeping. After receiving my room key, I briefly left to park my car, while my luggage remained in the hotel lobby under the exclusive custody and control of the concierge.
When I returned only a short time later, I was informed by the concierge that an individual had entered the hotel and stolen one of my bags. It is completely unacceptable that an unauthorized person was able to enter the hotel, access an area under the supervision of hotel staff, steal a guest’s luggage, and leave without being detected or stopped.
As a guest, I placed my trust in the hotel and relied on its staff to safeguard my belongings after they accepted custody of my luggage. The theft did not occur while my luggage was in my possession—it occurred while it was under the hotel’s care and responsibility. This represents a serious failure in the hotel’s security measures, supervision, and duty of care toward its guests.
The hotel had a clear responsibility to ensure that guests’ belongings entrusted to the concierge were protected. The fact that my bag was stolen while in the hotel’s custody demonstrates a significant lapse in security and operational procedures, for which the hotel should be held accountable.
Tips for a Stress-Free Family Stay Near the Arc de Triomphe
Staying in a high-traffic tourist zone requires a bit of local strategy to ensure the experience remains magical rather than overwhelming. The area around the Arc is generally safe and well-maintained, but a little preparation can save you time, money, and energy. Here are our top recommendations for navigating the neighborhood with your family.
1. Use the Underground Tunnels, Not the Roundabout
Never attempt to cross the Place Charles de Gaulle on foot with children. The traffic circle is famously chaotic, with no lane markings and constant merging. Instead, look for the well-signposted pedestrian tunnels located on the Avenue de la Grande Armée and the Champs-Élysées sides. These tunnels lead directly under the road and pop you up right at the base of the monument, keeping your family safe from the traffic.
2. Time Your Monument Visit Strategically
If you plan to climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe, go right when it opens or later in the evening (especially during summer when it stays open late). The elevator is reserved for those with reduced mobility, meaning families must often walk the 284 steps. Going early means cooler temperatures and fewer crowds, while an evening visit offers a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower sparkling without the harsh midday sun.
3. Leverage the Avenue Carnot for Dining
The restaurants directly on the Champs-Élysées are often overpriced and tourist-focused. Instead, walk one block to the Avenue Carnot, which connects to the Place de l’Étoile. Here, you will find authentic French bistros and brasseries that are far more welcoming to families, offering high chairs and standard French children’s menus (often featuring steak haché or roast chicken) at more reasonable prices.
4. Take Advantage of the RER A for Day Trips
While the Metro is useful, the RER A line at Charles de Gaulle–Étoile is a game-changer for families. This line takes you directly to Disneyland Paris (Marne-la-Vallée) in about 40 minutes without changing trains. If you are staying near the Arc, you can easily plan a day trip to the parks without the hassle of navigating multiple Metro connections with tired kids.
5. Look for "Family Rooms" Rather Than "Triple Rooms"
When booking, note the difference in terminology. A "triple" usually means one room with three beds crammed in, which leaves no space for luggage or playing. A "family room" or "suite" in these hotels typically implies a separated space or a dedicated sleeping area for children. This separation is crucial for maintaining bedtime routines, as it allows parents to stay up reading or planning without sitting in the dark.
The neighborhood surrounding the Arc de Triomphe offers more than just a photo opportunity; it provides a functional and exciting home base for families exploring Paris. By choosing a hotel that prioritizes space and connectivity, you can turn a potentially stressful city break into a seamless adventure. The ability to return to a comfortable, welcoming room after a long day of sightseeing is the true luxury of a family vacation.
With the right preparation, this corner of Paris can feel like a small village within the big city. From the safe pedestrian access to the monument to the easy train lines that whisk you away to the magic of Disneyland, the logistics are on your side. All that is left is to enjoy the look of wonder on your children’s faces as they see the City of Light for the first time.
