12 Best Restaurants Near Setas de Sevilla

Finding a memorable meal in Seville often means navigating the delicate balance between authentic local character and the bustling tourist hotspots. The area surrounding the iconic Setas de Sevilla, officially known as the Metropol Parasol, is a vibrant nexus where traditional Andalusian flavors meet contemporary culinary innovation. Whether you are looking for a quick bite between sightseeing or a leisurely multi-course dinner, this central neighborhood offers an impressive density of dining options.

The challenge for visitors is discerning which establishments offer genuine quality and value rather than relying on proximity alone. The streets radiating from the wooden mushroom-like structure are packed with tapas bars, bodegas, and modern eateries, each vying for attention. Knowing where locals go for a slow-braised carrillada or where to find the best modern twists on salmorejo can transform your visit from a standard trip into a gastronomic journey.

This guide focuses on variety, quality, and atmosphere to suit different travel styles and budgets. We have considered the traditional taverns that have served the neighborhood for decades alongside newer concepts that are pushing the boundaries of Spanish cuisine. You will find options suitable for a romantic evening, a lively family lunch, or a solo dining experience at a bar watching the chefs work.

Seville is a city that lives on its streets, and the dining culture is deeply social. Meals are meant to be lingered over, accompanied by a glass of Manzanilla sherry or a local Cruzcampo beer. The restaurants near the Setas reflect this philosophy, offering spaces where the energy of the city flows through the dining room and onto the terraces.

Accessibility is another key factor in this selection. Because the Setas is a central meeting point, most of these restaurants are within a five to ten-minute walk from the monument. This allows you to easily combine a visit to the viewing platform at sunset with an immediate descent into one of the city’s best dining districts without needing a taxi or navigating complex public transport.

From the historic charm of exposed brick and azulejo tiles to the sleek minimalism of modern design, the ambiance varies significantly from door to door. We have prioritized restaurants that not only serve excellent food but also provide a sense of place. Whether you are craving fresh seafood from the coast or hearty mountain stews, the culinary diversity within this compact radius is remarkable.

To help you navigate this dense culinary landscape, we have curated a list of the best options currently operating in the shadow of the wooden canopy. Each recommendation has been selected for its consistency, service, and ability to deliver a true taste of Seville.

Cut to the chase, good food, fresh, flavorful, nicely prepared, nicely presented. We had the spinach and casserole, the flavors were unique and quite nice. The decor is casual, elegant, and comfortable. Service was friendly, would not hesitate to go there again. Recommended.

We had a great experience here. The Leidy serving us was very warm and friendly. Our orders arrived quickly, and everything was well organized. We ordered 4–5 different tapas, and even though they were tapas, the portions were quite generous. The chickpeas with spinach dish was especially delicious. Highly recommended!

I had such an amazing experience at la Gorda De Las Zetas. I prefer to eat a pescatarian menu, so finding a wide variety of vegetarian and fish dishes is always a challenge. But my awesome server, Lady, took care of me. I thoroughly enjoyed every plate. Prices were very reasonable, and I recommend the dogfish, gratiné cod, and the salmon with vegetables. Enjoy!
Anna-Lena Eich★★★★★
We had a fantastic dinner at the tapas bar! The food was really good and the price was very fair, our waiter Aturo was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Great experience, sitting under the mushroom. Fast and attentive service from Leidy. All the tapas was good, I especially liked the scorpion fish pate and the salmorejo. Excellent wine. And very good price.

We had a fantastic experience here and would absolutely come back! The paella is delicious—perfectly cooked rice with rich, authentic flavor. The chicken skewer is really juicy and tender, one of the best we’ve had. On top of the great food, the service was excellent. Kamar was warm, attentive, and made the whole meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We ordered the patatas bravas and paella. Everything was very flavourful and delicious. The staff were very accommodating and went the extra mile for us. The restaurant has great ambience inside. A local from a different eatery recommended this place and we happen to even bump into him here.

Amazing food! We had the patas bravas, Spanish salad, risotto, duck hot dog, sangria, and the grilled pork sirloin steak with whiskey sauce. Everything was fantastic but the duck and the risotto took the #1 spot. Overall we were very impressed!

We thought the food was just alright, but that’s maybe because we didn’t order the signature dishes. We had the chicken wings, salmon and potato bravas. Service was fast and we got a table quickly around 6pm.

3.25/5 I might have had the best frozen strawberry daiquiri of my life here. It was icy and sweet, perfect for the Seville heat. The garlic prawn casserole we had as a starter was so delicious, that oily sauce they were in was divine and went perfectly with a piece of bread. Unfortunately, these were the highlights of our evening and everything else following was pretty average. I had the pork tenderloin, which didn’t taste very tender at all, with about 6 chips. We also tried the fried hake which was overcooked, dry and lacking and flavour. For dessert, I had the chocolate coulant/fondant and was immediately disappointed to find it was also overcooked. The chocolate did not pour out of the middle but it did make for a rich moist chocolate sponge. The service also steadily declined during our time at La Malvaloca, to the point where we were having to flag people down if we wanted any attention. For the price, I would’ve hoped for a better experience.
Carly Waller★★★★★
What a wonderful evening. The food was amazing. We had two burgers for teenagers. They rated it top on their list. I had the cod ravioli and my husband had the Iberian Pork. Great food, extremely good service. Thank you to Kamar and to Juan for looking after us

We had such a wonderful lunch at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the dry-aged steak and eggplant, and both were outstanding. The steak was rich and flavorful, and the eggplant was perfectly cooked. What really stood out was the service. The staff spoke English well, were incredibly friendly (BIG shout out for Salomon and Kaman!) and you could tell they genuinely enjoyed their work. They were attentive and thoughtful throughout our meal, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food and warm, welcoming service. We had a truly enjoyable lunch! 🥳

I got hungry around 6:00 PM and this is one of the few places that was actually still serving food at that time. The wine was amazing, and I had the pork risotto, which was very tasty. The service was great too. I was able to sit outside and enjoy the shade and the live music. Everything was amazing. It is a little bit on the pricey side, but it definitely saved my stomach at 6:00 PM in the afternoon.

Nice spot on the square almost directly below Setas de Sevilla, nice spot to watch Setas during sunset and in the dark changing colours. It gets quite busy in the evening so if you want a table outside you might wait for some time. Food is good, staff are lovely.

Our favorite restaurant in Seville was La Bartola. Delicious tapas, great sangria for less than 3 Euros and very friendly servers. We are still dreaming about the Iberian pork cheek stew over potato purée, the caponata, croquettes and homemade desserts. We ate there 3 times during our visit it is that good!
J Yu★★★★★
Really tasty food here! We ordered a few tapas and everything was great, especially the baby squid, swordfish roll, pig cheek, and beef. Service was fast for the first round, but a bit slower on the second. The place has a great vibe, very lively at night and can get busy. Prices are very reasonable. Overall, a great dinner spot.
Maria★★★★★
We were there last Thursday for dinner and we weren't disappointed. We've eaten a meal without paying a lot of money and the atmosphere was quite nice due to the smilling staff. We've really enjoyed the food. Everything was simply amazing so - in my opinion - you should visit "La Bartola" and you won't regret for no doubt! 🤩
Jane Mathias★★★★★
The best food I had in all of Seville.. stopped by this place for late dinner during my recent trip to Seville and this place did not disappoint. We ordered their roasted lamb with cous cous, garlic shrimp croquetta (that was the croquetta of the day), pork cheek stew with potato purée and the chocolate panna cotta for dessert. We also ordered their sangria and tinto de verano. Every dish we ordered was AMAZING - tasty flavorful well seasoned melt in your mouth meat bursting with flavors. We devoured every bite and it was hard to pick a favorite. Both the lamb and pork dishes were 11/10. Not just the taste but the presentation of every tapa was fantastic. Their drinks were also great. The dessert was to die for. This place is super packed during peak dinner hours and there is barely any room to stand. Since we walked in around 11pm, we got a seat and were well taken care of all thru the night. Also noticed alot of veggie options on the menu which was great. Service was awesome ambience is chic. I am certain I am going to crave their tapas once I am back home. Highly highly recommend this place when in Seville.
Husna★★★★★
We tried several things, the anchovies, cheese, sushi verdura, stuffed zucchini, tataki de salmon, thai red rice as well as eggplant salad. The thai red rice was our least favourite but everything else was delicious. There is always a line up here around dinner time but the staff are amazing and get the line moving quickly. We were impressed with our server as she was gracefully attending to a dozen tables and didn't forget any of our requests.

Very nice view and flamenco show and food light show was spectaculair only a few trippy stairs and a bit crowded Pro tip: go up the La Seta at night after dinner (8-9 O’clock) when others are eating dinner, better view less crowded

We had a lovely dinner here to celebrate our friend Diane’s birthday and we were served by Anderson Guillermo who was very prompt in serving our food and drinks, which were all delicious! We had salmorejo, croquetas, pork cheeks, jamon iberico, la santa salad, calamari, sangria. And muchas gracias Anderson for the chocolate cake with candle for Diane!

Tasty traditional dishes and very friendly service. The food is good, though the portions are somewhat small given the higher prices. Overall a nice atmosphere and quality meal.

That was a really nice place with a great staff. I felt home 🙂 the fried fishes and the shrimp was amazing!

Very good, I would definitely recommend this restaurant, quality of the food is really high and also it's worth it for the price.
Debbie Smothers★★★★★
Delicious restaurant within a 5 minute walk of our hotel. Happened upon it because the initial place we had hoped to dine had no tables available. LaSanta had one unreserved table to accommodate my husband & me. We had spicy potatoes, croquettes with Iberian ham & provolone with spicy tomato sauce. All were excellent..especially the provolone! Our server (Monte) spoke English & kindly gave us an English menu—bonus points! The bartender was happily giving candy to costumed kids since it was Halloween. Very enjoyable dining experience!

Alejandro and Aitana were the best servers we've had in Seville! They were both extremely pleasant, and their patiently translated tapas and wine recommendations were excellent. The plaza is very cute and quiet compared to others. My family (me, wife, and 9yo son) especially enjoyed the pork tenderloin with castellano sauce and the octopus. We highly recommend Los Coloniales!
Rokas J★★★★☆
A more budget tapas bar - the food is simple in presentation but quite tasty and at a fair price. We got the pork tenderloin in port sauce and the roquefort cheese dish. Both were flavourful. The service and atmosphere are also okay. 4/5
Isotta R.★★★★☆
The simil-gazpacho (salmorejo) was very very good and tasty, we also got the patatas bravaa, however they weren’t crunchy, and not that tasty… I would recommend the sangria!
Mark P★★★★★
This place opens all afternoon which is a big advantage. Service is fast and effective though in the busy hours be prepared for some waiting. The tenderloin in port wine sauce is simply to die for, but all other tapas are remarkably tasty. Do not miss when in Sevilla and you want to have dinner at a decent hour.

Stay away. The waiters clearly dont want to be here. Half of our orders came after 20 mins. The rest we waited an hour then I asked to cancel them. Waiter slams the bill on the kitchen pass and started swearing at their own team. It’s cheap but not worth the headache. Run away. Food was very mediocre. I feel bad for people walking by seeing a queue of people waiting. They are waiting to be disappointed. Best thing was the house vermouth that came in a dirty glass 🤣

Perro Viejo is a MUST visit spot if in Seville! From the food, to the service and atmosphere it’s 10s across the board. This is not just a meal, it’s a culinary experience. The service was impeccable and Julia gets a massive thanks for her recommendations and hospitality throughout the evening. We had the shrimp croquettes, gyozas, duck rice, yakitori chicken, prawn tostadas and confit leek - every dish was cooked and presented to perfection.
Catherine Ling★★★★★
Definitely recommend making a reservation in advance because they do go busy in the evening. Everything we ordered was fresh and had lots of flavor!! The ambience made the restaurant feel lively but pleasant. The patatas bravas had a unique twist that made them the best I’ve ever had. Fish tacos and squid paella were equally delicious and filling for two people. Visit if you’re feeling a nicer dinner 😄
David Kern★★★☆☆
Food is decent and well executed. But too basic - seeing the bill left us quite disappointed. For that price I would expect something more special, original and some twists. They charged 2x bread but we only got 3 slices. On the plus side, the service was super fast and the atmosphere is nice.
bambibambibambi★★★★★
We walked in without a reservation and were told it was fully booked, but the staff later invited us back in with a table, which we really appreciated as it was our last day in seville. Tried the beef tartare and sea bass, both raw and very unique, though not quite my personal preference. The squid ink paella was good and not too salty, while the yakitori chicken was just okay for me. Overall, it was an interesting experience. It was not just a popular restaurant but with genuinely unique dishes. Special thanks to the staff who invited us back. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting seville ✨
Aoife Kane★★★★☆
This was the best food we had during our time in Seville, the duck rice was the absolute star of the show and the prices were very reasonable. However, we were noticeably neglected in terms of service once our main dishes were served. We did have a later booking, however, we hoped to order dessert and we waiting for around 40 minutes after our mains, until eventually staff had begun to clear up the restaurant and we felt like we would have caused an inconvenience to order dessert so close to closing which is a shame. Overall, the food was spectacular.

It was a truly wonderful experience! The pizzas were absolutely amazing like Napoli. We even asked them to available table because ee hadn’t a reservation; their flexibility and attentiveness made us very happy. The tiramisu was spectacular. Honestly, having just been in Venice last week, I couldn't find an Italian restaurant this good even there. Definitely highly recommended! Real Napoli

The best pizza I have had. The most wholesome staff to care for your food experience and a beautiful cozy ambiance to make everything just PERFECT. Do not miss their Tiramisu (made with no eggs and no alcohol). The backstory for the egg and alcohol free Tiramisu is just as heart melting as the Tiramisu. Special thanks to Youness who went above and beyond. I encourage anyone visiting the locale to definitely dine at this restaurant. A gem indeed! This place is a 10/5 star place!
Andrew Long★★★★★
The restaurant is located round the back of the mushrooms. It's quite small and booking a table is therefore recommended. The range of dishes is quite limited but the quality is superb. Plus there are craft beer options. I went for a smokey pizza with its own container which was novelty. The big surprise was the tiramusu where it was served by the staff pouring coffee into the jar. Amazing. It was a good meal.
Harsh Patel★★★★★
We hadn't had a proper pizza in Spain yet so we were well overdue. Seated outside right away and the setting was perfect. We ordered the Ortolana pizza and it absolutely delivered — fluffy crust, fresh ingredients, and a delicious sauce that tied it all together. This is exactly how pizza should be done!
Alanna Rahman★★★★★
The best pizza in Seville, hands down. We managed to get a table on a walk-in basis and didn’t regret stopping by! The staff were really friendly, made recommendations and served us quickly. Pizzas were fresh, tasted amazing and cooked very well. Favourite waiter and great service by Pippo (I do apologise in advance if I’ve spelt your name wrong).

Everything was perfect!! Tasty burgers, try salmorejo traditional cold soup, cheap beer. Excellent Spanish wine (Azipilicueta white wine, Tarsus red wine). Staff is very friendly, helpful & quick. For sure worths a visit.
Chicharito★★★★☆
The service was very good, with the server very kind and efficient. The place is small but comfortable. I felt well at my table. The food was OK, but disappointed me a bit. The salmorejo lacked flavor. Probably because we are not in tomato season. But also because, to my taste, it lacked a bit of garlic. The spinach and cheack pees was ok. But again, lacked flavor. The solomillo al whisky was good, but was served barely warm.
David Briles★★★★★
Delicious food! If you are in the mood for a burger this is the place to go. We started with Arugula salad and fried anchovies, both excellent. Burgers for 2 of us, 1 of us swapped in chicken instead of beef and she loved it. Service was excellent. We ate outside on a beautiful evening so can’t talk too much to the atmosphere inside. Perfectly pleasant place to enjoy a nice dinner outside.
Catherine Lam★★★★★
It’s the first night I’m in Seville and absolutely this restaurant surprised me with its taste, choice, price and service! Tapas are delicious with good price, and the waitress was busy handling a few tables but still being nice and patient. Enjoy my first dinner here and it’s one of the highlights in Seville and even Spain for me.
Chris Chbt★★★★★
We stopped here to try something different in Sevilla, and we absolutely loved this place! First of all, it is nicely located, just a few minutes from the cathedral and in a narrow street where you can choose to eat outside. The service is friendly with me us both in Spanish and English. And the burgers are absolutely fantastic! The meat was cooked to perfection. There was just enough sauce and other additional ingredients to strike a perfect taste. Highly recommended!

The best service; Jose Luis and Charlie are the best waiters! They made our weekend great. We went back 3 times, the food is excellent!

Went with my wife after seeing the place had some good reviews here, and absolutely nailed it! We loved the spot so much! When we arrived, there were no free tables, so they offered to us to wait at the bar and have a drink. We ended uo ordering both drinks and tapas and the experience was amazing. The guy at the bar was so much fun and was really helpful reccomending us dishes that were gluten free. The food was really good, well seasoned, and many original tapas you don't find elsewhere. Our favorotes were the Octopus Ensaladilla, artichokea and the house Bacalao. Prices were rrally cheap and we were actually pleasantly surprised when we received the bill. Value for money - 9.5/10 Can't wait to go back again!

2026/04 The Casa de la Viuda (“House of the Widow”) is a historic building located in Granada, situated within the urban fabric that developed around the former Nasrid and later Christian city. Although less monumental than major landmarks such as the Alhambra, it represents an example of traditional residential architecture that reflects the social and cultural evolution of Granada after the Reconquista. The name “Casa de la Viuda” likely derives from a historical owner or occupant, a common naming convention in Spanish cities where houses were identified by notable residents rather than formal numbering systems. Architecturally, buildings of this type typically feature inward-facing layouts organized around a central courtyard, a design influenced by earlier Islamic domestic architecture and adapted in later periods. These houses often include simple façades, wooden balconies, and interior spaces designed for privacy, climate control, and family life. Over time, many such properties have undergone modifications, incorporating elements from different periods such as Renaissance or Baroque details. While specific historical documentation about Casa de la Viuda may be limited, its significance lies in illustrating everyday urban life in Granada across centuries, contrasting with the grandeur of royal and religious monuments. Today, structures like Casa de la Viuda contribute to the character of Granada’s historic neighborhoods, preserving the layered architectural heritage that defines the city.

Awful experience. The waiter was very rude and kept pretending he didn't remember what I ordered and kept bringing the food late. He brought the fries first. I have never ever in my life before tasted worse fries. Cold and damped in oil. The calamari was awful, tasted like rubber and came very late, the croquetas were frozen products. Overall awful service. Didn't eat anything.
Dusica Tosic★★★★★
We came across this restaurant while strolling down the streets and we had a perfect lunch. Granatired cod with red berries is something you can not eat at any other place. Waiters super friendly and fast with service.

I normally don’t leave reviews, but this was the best meal we had in Spain! The service was quick, and the waiters were very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend this place! ❤️

Tomato cold soup was ok. The pork cheeks were more on the tougher and chewy end but had good flavors. Potato was good. Pork loin was ok, kinda repetitive to he potato’s since they used similar sauce. The French toast dessert was my favorite!! Pretty amazing. Service was friendly and environment was comfortable.

What a gem! If you appreciate good food and wine like me you will be very happy and content. Even better if travelling in January like us - without the crowds. You must order the artichokes (read reviews from others), the croquettes were just wonderful, the pork loin with mojo was good, but if you haven’t had pork cheeks I would go with them based on other reviews. If we weren’t so full we would have ordered the Papas Bravas - based on the potatoes with our pork they would be well worth trying! We enjoyed the food so much we unusually ordered two desserts - the traditional French toast and homemade payoyo cheese cake. The French toast was fantastic, however we both found the cheesecake too sweet for our taste buds - but had no trouble finishing it! Wish we were staying longer to return to this wonderful restaurant. P.S Serving sizes are generous!

Alfalfa 8 is our absolute favourite in Seville! We lived there for 2 years and that was our go to place every time! They have the BEST croquettes on the planet and the staff is so friendly and always very welcoming! It’s definitely the place to eat if you’re in Seville! 100% recommended!

Tips for Dining Near the Setas de Sevilla

To make the most of your culinary exploration around the Metropol Parasol, a little local knowledge goes a long way. The dining rhythm in Seville is distinct, and understanding the timing and etiquette will greatly enhance your experience. Here are some essential strategies to ensure you eat well and avoid common tourist pitfalls.

Embrace the Late Dining Schedule. Seville operates on a shifted clock. Lunch typically begins around 2:00 PM and can last until 4:00 PM, while dinner rarely starts before 8:30 PM or 9:00 PM. If you arrive at a restaurant at 7:00 PM, you will likely find the kitchen closed or the staff still preparing for service. Use the late afternoon to enjoy a drink and a small snack to bridge the gap.

Look Beyond the Main Plaza. While the restaurants directly touching the Setas offer incredible views, their prices often reflect the real estate rather than the food quality. Venturing just one or two blocks away, into streets like Calle Regina or Calle Perez Galdos, will often reward you with more authentic atmospheres and better value for your money.

Order Half Rations. Tapas in Seville are often larger than in other parts of Spain. If you are dining with a group, ordering "media raciones" (half portions) is an excellent way to sample a wider variety of dishes without over-ordering. This is particularly useful when you want to try multiple specialties like fried fish, Iberian ham, and stewed meats in one sitting.

Check for Menu del Día. If you are looking for a substantial meal during the week, ask about the "Menú del Día" (Menu of the Day). Many of the sit-down restaurants near the Setas offer a fixed-price lunch menu that includes a starter, main course, dessert, and a drink. This is often the best value in the city and is what local workers eat.

Reserve for Rooftop Terraces. If your goal is to dine with a view of the Setas structure itself, you must book ahead. The terraces with direct sightlines to the wooden monument are incredibly popular during sunset and the evening hours. A reservation ensures you are not left waiting on the street while the best tables are occupied.

Stay Hydrated and Cool. Seville is one of the hottest cities in Europe, particularly between May and September. When choosing a restaurant, consider whether it has air conditioning or a shaded interior patio. Dining indoors during the peak heat of the day is not just a comfort issue; it is essential for your health and stamina while sightseeing.

The culinary scene around the Setas de Sevilla is a dynamic reflection of the city itself—proud of its history yet unafraid to evolve. By stepping away from the immediate tourist traps and applying a bit of local dining logic, you unlock a world of flavor that defines why Seville is considered one of Spain’s great food capitals. Whether you end your night with a sweet Pedro Ximénez reduction or a simple, perfectly brewed coffee, the memory of these meals will linger long after you leave the shadow of the mushrooms.
