Food was wonderful and so good. Suzanne was our server and a so sweet and kind. My fave drink is served here … A French 75. Perfect ending to our last night in Paris.

abit tooo over rated.
The stars here dont match the food or ambience expected for the same price.
The food LOOKs quite ok but it was bland and needed much seasoning.
Beef was not as tender or soft as I would like. Potatos were ok.
Pizza was good but it was not as hot or chessy.
The escargots, small, bland. Needs salt.
At the price point. I would have expected ALOT better.
Overall a quick expensive bite near tourist area.
Kwanchanok Tantasethi★★★★☆
The outdoor area has a nice atmosphere, and the service is very good. There are restrooms available. However, the prices for tourists are high, and bottled water is very expensive. You should order wine or other beverages instead.

I visited this place and was extremely disappointed. It was the worst experience I’ve had in a long time. The cocoa was very bad — watery, with an unpleasant taste, clearly low quality.
I also want to mention the cleanliness: it was dirty, especially the floors and the restroom, which were in poor condition. This immediately ruined the impression and raised serious concerns about hygiene standards.
Rhonda Cameron★★★★★
Superb and fast service. The onion soup was delicious-lots of yummy, gooey cheese. My server, Rosa, spoke fluent English, and was very polite and professional. Aperol Spritz was super-sized and REFRESHINGLY DELICIOUS. I loved Le Soleil d’Or. I wasn’t looking for it, but so glad that I found it. If you want a bite after visiting Notre Dame definitely stop by here, have a bite, a drink, and people watch seated at a sidewalk table.

Enjoyed a fabulous lunch with my friend here after a day of flea market shopping in Paris. We enjoyed our food and wine. It has a classic bistro vibe with an excellent service staff. We had the Croque Monsieur and quiche Loraine. The croquet came with pommes frittes and side salad and the quiche came with a side salad. Both dishes were well prepared and reasonably priced. I would recommend this lovely bistro to others!

Les Deux Palais Brasserie is a fantastic spot to enjoy classic French cuisine in a lively and elegant setting. Located near the Palais de Justice, it offers a perfect blend of traditional charm and Parisian sophistication.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with attentive service that makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Whether you’re seated inside or on the terrace, it’s a great place to soak in the vibrant energy of the neighborhood.
The menu features a wide selection of French brasserie favorites, all prepared with quality ingredients and beautifully presented. From fresh seafood to perfectly cooked meats and delicious desserts, every dish is satisfying and full of flavor.
Ideal for a relaxed lunch, a romantic dinner, or a casual drink, Les Deux Palais Brasserie is a wonderful choice for anyone looking to experience authentic Parisian dining in a charming setting.

After getting a bit of work done, we stopped by Les Deux Palais for breakfast. We had a classic spread (fresh baguette, butter, jam, pastries, fresh OJ, and good coffee). Sitting in the glass conservatory with the vintage chandeliers was super pleasant and relaxing. Great spot to unwind!

Stepped out of the metro and this was the closest place to eat! Friendly welcome. But then they moved us to fit a larger group in which wasn’t ideal. Beautiful classic brasserie. But the food felt touristy - it was nice enough but not worth seeking out I’d say.

This place was our favorite during the trip. We found it by chance on our first day and were genuinely surprised. Despite being in a very touristy area, it offers not only exceptionally good food but also outstanding service. It felt like the waiter understood what we needed with just a glance.
They also have great options for kids, which made it even better for us. We were truly impressed. This is not a tourist trap, but a genuinely good place worth visiting. We left with a very positive feeling, and the prices were reasonable as well.

Dinner was great! Be sure to make a reservation for dinner in advance if you can. Otherwise, be prepared for a line if you walk up. We showed up about 20 minutes before they opened and were able to get in, but the line behind us was at least 20 people long before the restaurant (kitchen) even opened!
We had the escargot, fish of the day, deviled eggs and the duck. All the food was great!
Cocktails and wine were also both fantastic.

We had an excellent dinner here! The restaurant is tucked away in a charming little alley. We arrived around 7:30–8pm and there was a line for a table, but the wait was quite short and we were seated before long.
The service was absolutely top-notch from start to finish. We each started with a spritz, which was a little different from the usual Aperol Spritz, but still very good and refreshing.
My partner had the beef tartare and I had the beef bourguignon. It normally comes with pasta, but I asked if I could have mashed potatoes instead and they were happy to accommodate. Both dishes were excellent!
For dessert, we shared the cherry clafoutis and the Paris-Brest and… just wow! Such a great way to end the meal.
Excellent food, wonderful service and a beautiful setting. I highly recommend this restaurant and would absolutely return!

I had a great time with my partner when we walked-in for dinner on July 19. The terrine was delicious and the pork dish for two was so rich and comforting. For dessert the crème brûlée and saint honoree and Paris-brest were scrumptious, we cleaned our plates! Florian was an excellent server and extremely friendly and helpful to us the entire time we dined. I would definitely come back again for the great service and food.
L★★★★★
We ordered the onion soup and the beef bourguignon. The onion soup had a smoky, fire-grilled flavor that made it absolutely delicious. It’s definitely a dish each person should try at least once.
The beef bourguignon had a slight mix of pork as well. The mushrooms were well-seasoned, and the meat was tender and flavorful. The pre-meal bread was also pleasantly chewy, like it had been freshly baked in-house.
I ordered a small 250 ml beer, which I really appreciated since you can adjust the portion size. Even though the line was long, the staff were very busy and efficient, and the food was prepared quickly.
Overall, it’s a truly excellent restaurant. It will definitely brighten your day.

Had a lovely dinner out on the little terrace at this brasserie. It's in a very busy little laneway which adds to atmosphere. Food and drinks were delicious, well priced. Florian our waiter was the absolute best and kept everything running so smoothly!!! Thank you for a memorable dinner!
Would recommend making a reservation especially on a weekend!

We ordered crepes, chocolate mousse, crème brulee and french apple pie. Apple pie was mediocre, chocolate mousse and crème brulee were extraordinarily delicious. Now coming to the service, our waiter was really rude. We sat down and tried to order, as the waiter insulted us for not greeting him first. He said quote on quote, I’m not your dog try saying “Hello” first. We weren’t aware that we had to have small talk in order place an order first. Until now I thought these such events as myths.

A cute nice little restaurant with very cosy sitting area. It got couple of tables only and they are close to each other, however I considered that part of the experience.
Food is yummy and snails were perfectly cooked.

Last meal in Paris and was super fortunate to find this wonderful restaurant! Every dish was delicious and perfectly prepared. I didn’t plan on getting a dessert, but ended up ordering a second because the first was so good! Highly recommend the Brioche French Toast with ice cream. One of the best things I ate in the whole city! 10/10 will be back. Merci!

This small bistro in the heart of Paris is highly recommended. Their set menu quality of food relative to its price is impressive. It feels very home-style cooking presented in a more elevated way.

Food was solid. I had their steak tartare. It was so good I went there again on the same trip. The couple next to me was having the beef wine stew, which also looked extremely delicious.
Staff are friendly. Kitchen is highly efficient. Clean and cozy atmosphere.
Definitely a restaurant I want to go back again.

We were walking by this place just as they were opening up for dinner service and what drew us in was the cozy appearance that looked like it came from a movie. We got lucky as we had no reservations and still got a table as it seemed fairly popular. The service was quick and welcoming and they were always on top of things. We dined outside and it retained its cozy atmosphere.
The real appeal though is their food. Absolutely amazing food. The presentation looked appetizing and one taste confirms it. We started with some mushrooms which wetted our appetites and set the expectations. I had rabbit for the first time and this was the best place to be introduced to it. It was cooked perfectly, properly seasoned, and well presented on the plate. For dessert we had the Grand Marnier crepe and it came with a little spectacle as they lit the alcohol and you could see your crepe hey toasted right before your eyes.
If your looking to have a traditional French cuisine experience at a reasonable price, then look no further!!

We stopped here for dinner on our stay in Paris. Food was delicious and we also were very satisfied with the service and the atmosphere. Service was polite, courteous and efficient. We haven't made reservations beforehand but I think it is better to do it as we manage to secure the last free table and afterwards we saw many people being turned away because there was simply not a single table available. I had the salmon and my friend had the duo of sea bass and clams. They were both delicious. As desert I tried the icecream which also turned out to be very good. What a great find in the Latin Quarter, I hope to eat here again on my next trip to Paris.
Ananya Biswas★★★★★
Delicious French cuisine, the best I've had in Paris so far. The atmosphere is cozy, and it's conveniently located near Notre-Dame. The special menu changes daily based on fresh produce, alongside a consistent regular menu. For Easter, we enjoyed sauté de veau and civet de lapin paired with red wine, followed by a superb after-lunch coffee. The service felt personal and heartfelt , the staff were knowledgeable about the daily menu and took the time to explain the dishes to us.
Cheryl Bacon★★★★★
We had lunch here after my daughter’s wedding in 2019 and loved it so I was excited to return in spring 2026. The food was excellent. I had a pumpkin soup, sea bass with scallops and crème brullee. My friend had the roast chicken and loved it. All were excellent but the fish was particularly good, the best entree I had in Paris that week.
Service was warm and good humored, especially considering how busy they were. It’s tight quarters but that only adds to the charm.

Our waiter was very polite, the wine was great, and the service was amazing. A bottle of Puliaic for €60 can’t be beaten. The steak and fish were excellent, definitely the best spot in Saint Michel

Quick and friendly service. Really cool interior. Great quality food and decent sizes which makes it good value for the price you pay. Only 4 stars because it‘s rather loud inside and because the salad that came with the waffle was not at all to my taste.

I didn’t have much time in Paris to try different crepes for comparison, but I found this one to be really good — and the portion was big!
Chilean Tourist 🙋🏽♀️We went on a Tuesday at 2 PM, and the place was full. There was a short line, but we only waited about ten minutes to get a table.
📍The Venue:
The place has the feel of a traditional French café — cute and on the smaller side. All the seating is indoors, mostly tables for two. You can definitely go with a group, but you might have to wait a bit longer for a larger table.
🥞What we ordered:
Nutella, Strawberry & Banana Crêpe: The batter was thicker than other crêpes I’ve had before, but it was delicious and not overly sweet. We added a scoop of ice cream, which was a nice touch!
They also offer a free jar of water, which is always appreciated.
🧑🍳The Service:
The staff was really friendly, and our order came out quickly.
🅿️Parking:
As far as I know, they don’t have dedicated parking.
💭Final Thoughts:
For my first time trying a crêpe in Paris, it was a great experience! The food was tasty, the service was good, and I’d definitely come back.

Great experience at La Crème de Paris Notre-Dame. I came back because I remembered how nice it was to sit here with a view of Notre-Dame, and it was just as enjoyable this time. The crêpes were delicious — I had the chicken crêpe and the honey crêpe — and the location is hard to beat. Beautiful atmosphere, friendly service, and a perfect place to relax while enjoying Paris. I’ll definitely come back again on another visit.
Melanie Devenport★★★★★
Highly recommend this incredible creperie! It’s situated on the corner facing the Notre Dame with beautiful views from the open windows. The crepes were incredible and the best gelato! So delicious we had to return the following day! Service was great with mint infused water provided and QR code with ability to pay with your phone after your meal to save time.
A. Ghorbani★★★★☆
Although the place is near a very touristy spot, the prices are reasonable, except for the smoothy which seemed a bit expensive.
The sweet banana Nutella crêpe was nice, but the pastromy galette was just ok. Nice latte.

Visited here tonight from recommendations on the Find me GF app and was blown away.
Not only were all the crepes gluten free (!!), they were absolutely delicious and there were so many options (my husband couldn’t tell any difference to normal crepes)! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious, reasonably priced crepes/galettes while in Paris. It felt like a very authentic experience.
A special shout out to our waiter from tonight who noticed my ‘Just Married’ hair ribbon and gave us a free welcome drink. This special touch, and how lovely he was throughout our whole evening, really made our night! Thank you so much!

Everything about our visit was amazing, especially the strawberry crepe with homemade chocolate. Amazing that everything was able to be made gluten free. Update: After witnessing a lot of cross contamination at other restaurants, I came back here knowing they have separate preparation areas and AGAIN the food was absolutley perfect 💜

We had a wonderful meal at La Petite Boucherie. The salmon crêpe and the chicken, mushroom, and tomato crêpe were both incredibly flavorful, filling, and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere made the experience even more special — a charming historic former butcher shop beautifully transformed into a cozy crêperie. A perfect blend of Parisian history, warmth, and delicious food. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic and memorable meal in Paris.

Small but charming restaurant. The staff seemed to be a family of Sri Lankans and were very nice to speak with. I was impressed with how fast the food was ready and the quality was great. Wish i had more time in Paris so i could come back again

We came here for lunch a week or so ago, and really enjoyed our meals! My husband is gluten free, so he was very excited to get to have crepes here. He got both sweet and savory crepes to try, and the savory were amazing, but the sweet with the buckwheat was not the best combo to him. My mom and I (not gluten free) also got both sweet and savory, and our sweet with the non-buckwheat option was really delicious! Overall, it was a wonderful meal and we would definitely come back.

It was an absolutely terrible experience. First, we placed our order from the menu. Thankfully, the soup arrived quickly and was average in taste. But the real fiasco started after that. We waited a full 45 minutes for our main course. It arrived and was delicious. Then we waited another 20 minutes for our dessert, and it tasted incredibly bad. It was the worst crème brûlée I've ever had. We also waited a while to pay the bill. It came to 25 Euros, which is cheaper than average for Paris.
We spent over two hours just to have dinner. I would understand if it was very busy and the waiters couldn't keep up. But I don't understand how they can make you wait that long in a place where only two tables were occupied. It was definitely a very bad experience. Our two-day Paris vacation was completely squeezed in because of this, and we couldn't even go to a museum.
Daniel Städeli★★★☆☆
We left feeling that this was more of a 3.5-star experience than a 5-star one. The €18 set menu (starter, main course, and dessert) is a good value for Paris, and the restaurant itself is cute and comfortable, with fans that help a lot on hot summer days.
The French onion soup was good and exactly what you’d expect. My grilled salmon with potatoes and green beans was decent, although the cheese sauce wasn’t necessary. The chocolate mousse and the crème brûlée (a €2 upgrade) were both enjoyable, with the crème brûlée being the highlight of the meal.
Unfortunately, my wife’s dishes were disappointing. The mussels were incredibly small—by far the smallest we’ve ever seen—and there was very little meat in them. Her lamb chops also had far too much fat. Out of the two chops, there were only a few bites of actual meat, which made the portion feel quite disappointing.
Overall, the meal was okay and the price is attractive, but the inconsistent quality keeps me from rating it higher.
Shawn★★★☆☆
Greeting was great, service was good as the gent was super friendly, but I can't say I loved the food. French onion soup was the most disappointing as it just looked like the bread and cheese were just tossed into the bowl. The fondue was decent and the beef was tender. All in all, I enjoyed the experience more than the actual meal and I loved the feeling of family. Just had better
Andreas Aslanis★★★☆☆
Very good food for what you pay. The escargots were very good and the crème brûlée also. The fillet mignon was not good, it wasn’t fillet mignon just a piece of tough meat cooked for way too long. But it is expected considering the affordability. I would suggest it and I would visit again!

Had the €17.90 deal for dinner with a couple upgrades; Snails (6pcs), Duck Confit (+€2), and the Crème Brûlée (+€2). Delicious food, fast service (despite the restaurant being quite busy), pretty decor, and friendly staff (even refilled my free bread basket once I finished the first one!). Enjoyed every course, glad I came here!

Good value (€25 for 2 small meals and 2 drinks) and enjoyed the chicken and waffles. However the rest of the meals were a little sub-par. The Avo on toast had stale tasting bread, french toast was bland, chips were a bit too soggy. Crowded menu feels very targeted towards tourists.
Vicki Sullivan★★★★★
I chose to go to this restaurant just because it was nearby where I was staying and I liked the look of the menu. It is pretty inside with flowers and vintage posters. The service was quick and friendly and the meal was delicious. I had the cuttlefish ink risotto with gambas, a raspberry kir to drink, followed by a cafe gourmand which included mini creme brulee, cheesecake, chocolate torte and wafer biscuits, plus a passionfruit half. If I had been staying longer I would have visited again, the breakfast menu also looked great.
Daniel Welch★☆☆☆☆
I ordered the brunch deal in French and the waitress repeated my order back to me and it had some errors so I corrected her and double checked, and then when she brought me back my food, two of the dishes were not what I had ordered. For one of the dishes I ordered the French toast with red fruits, but I was given the French toast with vanilla ice cream and banana bananas, and I ordered the virgin strawberry Mojito, but then I was given an orange juice. When the waitress had repeated the order back to me, she had thought I had said orange juice and I corrected her and told her I wanted a strawberry Mojito and she still served me orange juice. She didn’t take the time to write down the order, she tried to memorize it, and ended up making mistakes.

Venue: I loved the venue with the vintage decoration. It made the eating experience very parisien. The location can not be better. 5 minutes away (walking distance) from Notre-Dame and two metro stations.
Staff: super friendly lady. She could speak three languages. She was helpful and effective.
The food was better that expected, to be honest. The burger was delicious, the pizza, the fries and all. All homemade.
The only thing I would say that it was not super is the price. I fully understand it's Paris and next to le basilique du Notre-Dame. Still a bit high the price for the type of food, which is offered. For the rest, the place was absolutely 'tres magnifique'.

Simply deliciousness!!! Akhesa and Jerome provided phenomenal care as we dined with our selected dishes (fish and chips, omelette, and croque madam). We were delighted by Akhesa when we asked us it too late for hot chocolate and she proudly proclaimed “it’s never too late for chocolate. “.

Delicious food, cozy environment, and friendly staff. I had the specialty of the day, Pot au feu. On a cold winter evening, it will sort you out; a very comforting delight. Fair price for a Parisian restaurant.

La Dame de Paris is located down the street from Notre Dame Cathedral. This Brasserie offers classic French food and has indoor and outdoor seating. We choose indoor since it was raining on the 20 Sep when we visited. The food was great and the service was good. Our server was a little short with us when ordering drinks. She told us that meals needed to be ordered before drinks as if this was a French restaurant rule. Other than that, she was very efficient. The free range chicken with salad was very good and the Le Croque-monsieur was okay. There are lots of Cafes on the street and we chose this one randomly. Overall a great experience.

we liked the tasty pastries. We sat inside and therefore paid a bit more (for the service I guess) but we had to bring the pastry and coffee to our table by ourselves. This was not an issue at all. But what surprised me was that i basically had to ask for a knife, forks and small spoons for the cappuccino. The service wanted me to use the utensils out of wood. But the wooden knife simply couldn't cut the cake we ordered along with the macarons. Funny that we were two people but were given only one fork 🙂 and the woman also rolled her eyes when she gave the utensils to me. So I still didn't get why do we pay extra for being able to sit inside... just to beg for spoon and knives. What exactly was the service? I bring the food and coffee to the table myself, I take it back once I am done eating and I use the to-Go utensils...
So I would recommend just take the stuff with you and enjoy it in the park close by. But the deserts are very tasty.

We found this seafood spot just a few steps away from Place Saint-Michel — literally less than a minute's walk, making it a great option after exploring the Latin Quarter or Notre-Dame area.
What impressed us most was the value for money. We ordered the Combo No. 2 and chose lobster, scallops, and shrimp, served with corn, potatoes, and green beans on the side.
The seafood was very fresh. The lobster even had roe, which was a nice surprise. The corn was especially sweet。
The real highlight for us was the garlic butter sauce. It was rich, flavorful, and paired perfectly with all the seafood. We ended up dipping everything into it, including the baguette.

Our dinner at Folie Crabe St. Michel was incredible. We made a reservation because we weren’t sure how busy it would be. There are two floors, and you can choose where you’d like to sit. We chose the ground floor because it had air conditioning.
We were welcomed by an incredibly kind waitress who explained everything on the menu to us. There were four of us, and we ordered Combo 2 and Combo 3, which I think was the perfect choice to share between four people.
Our food arrived amazingly fast—in less than 10 minutes. One combo came with the garlic sauce, while the other included the mixed sauce.
The only thing I didn’t particularly like was that even the garlic sauce was a bit spicy for me, and I don’t like spicy food at all. However, everyone else in our group really enjoyed it.
We ate almost everything. The seafood was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. To finish the meal, we ordered watermelon for dessert, and it was absolutely amazing as well.
I would definitely come back again!

Tips for Dining Near Sainte-Chapelle
Navigating the dining scene around a major landmark requires a bit of strategy. To help you avoid the common pitfalls of tourist-centric areas, we have compiled a list of practical tips. Following these guidelines will help you secure a better table, enjoy better service, and ultimately have a more authentic meal.
Book Ahead for Dinner
Lunch is often a walk-in affair, but dinner in this central district fills up quickly with both tourists and Parisians. Call ahead or book online to secure a table at the more popular bistros. This is especially crucial on weekends and during the summer months.
Understand French Service Hours
Many kitchens close between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM. If you are hungry in the late afternoon, look for a "service continu" sign, which indicates the restaurant serves food all day. Otherwise, plan your meal times around standard French hours of 12:00 PM and 7:30 PM.
Look for the "Formule"
Most restaurants offer a "formule" or "menu du jour" at lunchtime. This typically includes a starter and main course, or a main course and dessert, for a fixed price. It is almost always the best value for money and features the freshest seasonal ingredients.
Beware of Aggressive Greeters
Restaurants with staff standing outside trying to pull you in often rely on tourists who will never return. Walk a block or two away from the main boulevard. The quality of food usually increases as the proximity to the front door of the monument decreases.
Check the Chalkboard
The best dishes are rarely on the printed tourist menu. Look for daily specials written on a chalkboard (ardoise) outside or inside the restaurant. This indicates that the chef is working with the fresh produce available at the market that morning.
The area surrounding Sainte-Chapelle is steeped in history, and the food scene reflects that heritage. From historic wine bars that have served revolutionaries to modern kitchens reinventing classic French staples, there is a story in every dish. Taking the time to sit down and enjoy a meal here connects you to the rhythm of Parisian life.
As you plan your itinerary, remember that dining is an essential part of the travel experience. A great meal can be the highlight of your day, providing a moment of rest and reflection after the visual intensity of the stained glass. Choose wisely, eat slowly, and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the Île de la Cité.
