Finding the right base for a trip to Seville can completely transform your experience, especially if you want to be close to the city’s green heart. While the historic center buzzes with energy, the area surrounding Parque de María Luisa offers a unique blend of tranquility, accessibility, and architectural beauty. This district, which borders the historic Barrio de Santa Cruz and the river, is home to some of the most prestigious hotels in the city, ranging from historic palatial estates to sleek, modern retreats.
Staying near the park places you directly between two of Seville’s most iconic landmarks: the grand Plaza de España and the lush botanical gardens that stretch toward the Guadalquivir River. It is an ideal location for travelers who appreciate morning jogs under the canopy of orange trees or quiet evening strolls away from the tourist crowds. You are also within walking distance of the Alcázar and the Cathedral, yet removed enough to enjoy a quieter, more residential atmosphere.
The accommodation options in this neighborhood are diverse, catering to luxury seekers, couples on romantic getaways, and families who need space to spread out. Many of the properties have been converted from the pavilions built for the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition, giving them a distinct historical character that you simply cannot find in modern constructions. These buildings often feature soaring ceilings, intricate tile work, and private courtyards that capture the essence of Andalusian architecture.
When choosing a hotel here, you should consider not only the star rating but also the specific amenities that will enhance your stay. A rooftop pool becomes a necessity during the sweltering Sevillian summers, while a shaded garden terrace is perfect for the milder spring and autumn months. Additionally, parking availability can be a crucial factor if you are planning day trips to nearby destinations like Córdoba or the beaches of Cádiz, as driving in the city center is restricted.
The culinary scene surrounding the park is another significant advantage. Unlike the more tourist-heavy tapas bars in the center, the restaurants in the El Porvenir and Huerta de la Reina neighborhoods tend to attract a more local clientele. Staying here gives you immediate access to authentic Andalusian cuisine, from traditional salmorejo to innovative fusion dishes, often at a more relaxed pace and with better value.
Furthermore, the proximity to the Santa Justa train station is a major logistical benefit. Many of the hotels in this area are just a short taxi ride or a pleasant 20-minute walk from the station, making arrivals and departures remarkably stress-free. If you are arriving from the airport, the direct bus line also passes close to the park, offering a budget-friendly transfer option.
Ultimately, this area is best suited for travelers who want the best of both worlds: immediate access to Seville’s historic splendor and a peaceful sanctuary to return to. To help you narrow down the options, we have curated a list of the very best places to stay, ranging from five-star luxury to boutique charm.

I stayed here to attend the Icónica Festival in Sevilla, location was perfect for my purposes, I made a mistake in the reservation with the dates but I have full intentions to stay in this hotel because of the location when I arrived Sevilla I kindly asked the management for a date change because hotel has availability I was aware that I needed to pay a penalty but petition was denied with no explicit reason, we ended up staying at the hotel anyway and pay 82€ for the night. Then 2 days later we realized the actual date of my reservation was for September and I kindly requested them to cancel it without the full charge, petition was also denied. I asume my error and understand when you have no options because of availability but this case was any of those scenarios.
You guys got 100€ for my mistake but you definitely lost one customer and receive a bad review.

Great hotel, amazing location and excellent customer service. Everything was perfect, the rooms were clean, well equipped and were very spacious. The location is amazing, close to everything relevant in Seville city centre. I had zero issues with my stay and would definitely come back!

Great location just across from the beautiful Plaza de España. The breakfast is good and plentiful, the triple room was a good size, bigger than normal I'd say. Would recommend. Have stayed here 4 or 5 times for 1 or 2 nights

Decent location, just on the edge of the historical center and few steps away from beautiful plaza Espana. The staff was helpful and polite. The only concer is the rooms that had this musty smell, and even though we took the better room that was supposed to be refurbished it felt outdated with old and damaged furniture, mold in thr bathroom shower and a lot of small details that ruined the impression. If you book in time there are better places in Seville.

I recently stayed at Hotel Pasarela in Seville, and unfortunately, my experience did not match the expectations of a four-star hotel. In my opinion, it felt much closer to a two-star property.
The photos online are quite misleading. The hotel is noticeably outdated, and the rooms lack the level of comfort and amenities you would expect from a four-star establishment. When I stayed in February, the heating barely worked, which made the room uncomfortable during the colder nights. There were also no real amenities provided in the room. To make matters worse, I found human hairs on the floor upon arrival, which raised concerns about cleanliness.
The receptionist was also oddly unexpressive and not particularly welcoming, which didn’t help improve the overall impression.
On a positive note, the room itself was quite large, which I appreciated. The location is definitely the hotel’s strongest point — it’s directly across from Plaza de España and within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants, making it very convenient for exploring the city.
Overall, the excellent location cannot fully make up for the disappointing quality and condition of the hotel.

Location is great just beside cathedral and palace and many restaurants and tapas bar! Our room is in decent size, has a nice little balcony with good views.
Price is so good at off season. But have to notice the front desk working hours is only till 3or 4pm .
If you arrive after that you should inform them in advance.

The entire draw for this hotel is location, which is fantastic
The rooms are basic, ours did not have any decoration on the wall, closets etc and no view
The bed was not comfortable. We did not sleep well.
It was very clean and room service did a great job every day.
There is a public space balcony on the fourth floor which is pleasant and has a limited view
They have a breakfast lounge with free tea and coffee in the morning

Honestly for the price and for 1 or 2 nights this hotel is totally efficient. The rooms aren’t amazing because there are no windows but apart from that I couldn’t complain because the price. Rooms were clean, rooftop balcony was a nice touch and free coffee.. the service was friendly and helpful. Location is as good as it gets.. there is no tv or fridge but like I said for the price can’t really complain! Top for a quick night in Sevilla 🇪🇸

This small hotel is in the most amazing location right near the Alcázar. The staff were friendly and stored our bags after check out. The hotel is only staffed until 7.30pm at night. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Definitely recommend as was a great price too!

On the photo you may see which room we booked (photo from the booking site) and the real photo of the room. A guy on the reception told us that the hotel is full and he can't change the room.
Since there is no window, there is no oxygen in the room. You may use air conditioner, but it will blow right on the beds, which is not good. Extremely noisy.
Be careful with your booking here.
No slippers, no toothpaste. Not that clean sheet (photo).
Yes, location is perfect.

The hotel is very modern, clean and cozy. The colors and design are clean and stylish. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The bathroom is great. The breakfast offered is very delicious, with quality products and attention to detail. It's worth it! And let's not forget how cool the people at the reception are. They do their job great. Special greetings to one of the guys at the reception, who with a big smile helped us with the preparation of documents and invoices.

Really nice hotel for the price. The rooms are comfortable and well-kept; they are nicely put together. The bathrooms are surprisingly spacious with both a tub and a shower, which is always a win. Room service was excellent and the food was genuinely tasty.
The only downside is the parking, which can be a bit inconvenient. There’s a parking garage nearby for a charge or if you’re patient (or lucky), you can find free parking close by, but nothing provided by the hotel. Overall though, a great stay and definitely good value.

Excellent hotel and worthy of it's 4 star rating. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and excellent location. Easily walkable to the centre of town. We decided against paying the parking and found street parking which was fine.

Nice room. Spotless cleaning everywhere throughout the building. Huuuuuuuge bed with a comfortable mattress and pillows. We did not hear any noises from neighbour rooms - good quality of sleep. Plenty of sockets. Friendly staff. Very professional suggestions from receptionists. Really tasty breakfast with a generous options to choose for every taste and habits.
Great dry sauna and steam room.
Good location - it is easy to get anywhere on your feet. Lot of local stores and restaurants within 100m.
We were happy and will for sure recommend this place to our friends.
What could be better: not toooo tasty coffee (however this is not a flaw of the hotel itself, but more of the personal tastes).
No toilet brushеs in the toilet as well as in the other public toilets.
Many thanks to all hotel staff - you are doing incredible job.

Even if this hotel is on the other side of the river, it's still very walkable to the sites in Sevilla. They've got parking, and is surrounded by good restaurants too. Staff was great, including Amour, who was very helpful especially when we had an issue that she resolved very quickly. Best room and breakfast spread that we had in our 20-day trip!

Great accommodation. Very tastefully decorated and clean. There are two supermarkets on the street. Right next to the main entrance of the building are two restaurants.

5/5. A very well-equipped apartment for a few days in Seville, whether for leisure or business. Very close to Maria Luisa Park, an excellent place for running or walking. The cleanliness is quite good, and it also has all kinds of cooking utensils to make you feel comfortable in the apartment. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I return to Seville!

A very nice apartment, a 5-minute walk from Maria Luisa Park and half an hour from the city center. Communication with the owner was pleasant; we received many tips about the area and restaurants. Next to the apartment is a lovely restaurant where we even ate twice. All in all, highly recommended for a weekend in Seville!

Five out of five stars. The hotel's location is excellent to discover Sevilla - A 20min. walk away to most of the touristic spots.
All of the hotel personnel is so friendly and they do everything they can so you don't have to worry about anything. We had an issue with the shower but the technicians came right away and it got fixed in no time.
Fantastic and large beds + splendid air conditioning which is in our opinion a must have after spending most of the day in temperatures above 30 degrees. Fast and stable Wi-Fi connection.
If you like, you can take breakfast in the hotel (€16pp). You get a wide range of products, all of good quality. Nevertheless, we liked it more to go into the city and discover some breakfast & brunchspots.
Tai Dissanayake★★★★★
Stayed at Hotel Monte Carmelo in Seville and honestly… this one just felt right from the moment we arrived.
Tucked away in a beautiful, local neighbourhood, you get that real Seville vibe — morning coffees at nearby cafés, endless food spots to explore, and everything buzzing without the heavy tourist crowds. Yet somehow, you’re still just a short walk from all the main attractions. Perfect balance.
The staff? Genuinely amazing. The kind of people who greet you like you’ve been there before — always smiling, always helpful, and full of great recommendations (which, of course, I had to test… for research purposes 😄).
Breakfast was a proper highlight too — fresh, varied, and exactly what you need before a full day of exploring (or eating your way through Seville like I did).
Travelling as a family, this place made it easy. Relaxed, welcoming, and super comfortable — no stress, just good energy all around.
Location-wise, it couldn’t be better. Around 20 minutes from the airport, and perfectly positioned to explore the city on foot while still enjoying a quieter, more authentic area.
This is one of those stays where nothing feels forced — great people, great location, great food nearby… just a smooth, enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Would I stay again? 100%.

Room is modern and has everything you need. Staff is friendly and had a very smooth check-in. However it has bad sound isolation. During the two nights here, i can hear neighbor rooms talking when in high volume and furniture dragging from upstairs/adjacent rooms very often. And it woke me up late at night and early in the morning.
Highly suggest the hotel to have a carpet under the chairs in the room to reduce the noise or add some cushion or pads underneath so ppl stay in the lower floor can also have quiet nights.

"Breakfast Police"
I’ve stayed in dozens of hotels across Europe, and honestly this was the first time I felt less like a guest and more like someone being monitored.
The issue was not a few cookies and small pieces of cake from breakfast. Rules can exist anywhere — that’s not the problem. The problem was how this situation was handled.
After I had already taken the items, one employee approached me speaking only in Spanish and explained that taking them out was not allowed. I understood the situation and immediately responded politely that I would be careful from the next day onward and would not do it again. I also specifically said that since I had already taken them, I hoped they would not simply be thrown away.
At that point, I thought the situation was solved.
But while I was already walking out of the breakfast area, another employee came after me and literally took the cookies and cakes back from my hands.
That was the moment this stopped feeling like hospitality and started feeling like some strange display of authority and control. A simple polite warning at the moment I was taking them would have solved everything in seconds. Instead, the hotel chose to create an unnecessarily awkward and humiliating experience over a couple of breakfast snacks.
Hotels are remembered not because of their furniture or breakfast buffet, but because of how they treat people. And unfortunately, this experience felt cold, robotic, and unnecessarily hostile.

Lovely hotel in Triana. Check in was a breeze (there are temporary spots for you to unload luggage, just have to ask front desk to remove the barrier if not enough space). Booked the junior suite which is the largest room on the top floor. Balcony is great for lounging around. Clean and modern. Good night of sleep. I did hear some occasional sounds of furniture being moved around the second night, but they died down toward midnight. They have underground parking but I opted to park my car myself (very hard to find parking in Triana in general, be prepared for long walks back to hotel). Breakfast was above average, I wish they would automatically replenish the items that were depleted (for example, salmon was gone on both mornings), but they did bring out more when I asked. Front desk personnel suggested some amazing restaurants and are very friendly. 5 out of 5 stars!

This is a gorgeous hotel with beautiful décor, charm, and plenty of character. The location is excellent, within walking distance of many of Seville’s most important landmarks.
The only minor downside is that, due to the historic nature of the building, the sound insulation is not ideal, and you can occasionally hear people walking or talking at night. However, this was not a significant issue during our stay.
The service was excellent, and the staff were consistently kind, welcoming, and helpful. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seville.
Melanie Gomez★★★★★
My first visit to Seville was made unforgettable by this hotel. From the moment you step inside, you are transported back in time. The attention to detail is remarkable—you even descend below ground level to navigate stunning stone passageways that connect the historic houses. While the walk from reception to the room is a bit of a journey, it’s a scenic experience where you discover something new at every turn. The nightly piano bar and beautiful pool were the perfect finishing touches. A huge thank you to the friendly staff, especially Pedro, who went above and beyond helping us with our luggage and navigating the halls. I’ll definitely be back!
James Cross★★★★★
Beautiful, rambling hotel spanning multiple houses and courtyards linked by underground tunnels. Rooftop pool and bar is a great place to cool off. Piano bar is also worth a visit for the decor and pictures. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only gripe was the breakfast which is standard international hotel fare - much better to head out to one of the many local cafes.
Andrew Storey★★★★★
Great Hotel. Really rustic place full of courtyards and green spaces. The reception area is air conditioned and the courtyards are covered with sails that keep the intensity of the sun out. Water features help keep the place cool too.
The piano bar upstairs is great for an early evening drink and is also cool and relaxing.
The rooms were great with good AC and plenty of space.
The pool area was on the roof and had a small bar serving cocktails and some snacks.
The breakfast area was in the basement through a maze of corridors. All very well decorated and quirky but hard to find.
Great place with lovely staff.

5 stars isn’t enough! The best hotel we’ve stayed in! This was our first trip to Seville and it did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived, the staff were efficient, helpful and incredibly friendly.
The hotel itself is something we have never seen before. Historic, traditional and unique. The hotel is a maze of rooms, courtyards, alleys and hallways with exceptional Spanish tiling throughout. (You may get the lost the first time though!)
We spent our afternoons around the pool as we visited in June and it was very hot. The first day we couldn’t get a sunbed but a towel at the side of the pool did well. Because the rooftop pool is small, it meant our afternoons were quiet and relaxing. The pool bar offers cocktails throughout the day. We highly recommend the Juderia cocktail!
The location is great - a short walk from so many amazing bars, we recommend Las Teresas (only 5 minuets away)
We could not have picked a better hotel! Just one day into our holiday and we have already decided we would be returning. Thank you!

My partner and I had a great experience staying here while in Sevilla. Location was good, close to a tram/bus/metro stop and super connected with every neighborhood of the city.
Our room was spacious, comfortable and had all we needed. Bathroom was particularly clean and well-designed.
Service was outstanding and all staff was attentive, competent and costumer-orientated.
We used all the facilities and we were satisfied with everything.
We must say, daily breakfast buffet was really outstanding, with plenty of healthy, vegetarian friendly options included.
Also, the pool area is quite nice and convenient (especially on hot summer days), however, a bit small. On weekends, especially if larger groups are staying at the hotel, it can get crowded and sunbeds are limited for the size of the hotel. Unfortunately, the pool is not supervised by hotel staff, therefore, some individuals might break common sense rules and it can get quite loud/ not relaxing, possibly, several drinks could also be left on the pool side..
As an improvement, the gym is the only area that needs some attention: the cross trainer was out of service and the mats were also quite broken. For the size of the hotel, it might be too small: once 2/3 person are in at the same time, space fills up and no one else can train.
All in all, we had a very positive stay for three nights and we would definitely choose it again, if in Sevilla!

A special thank you to the lovely waitress Laura who helped me with my breakfast tea this morning. She was so kind, attentive, and cheerful, and her excellent customer service made my morning even more enjoyable. Staff like her are a real credit to the hotel.
Thank you to everyone for making our stay so pleasant. We would happily return and highly recommend this hotel.

Very well deserved 4 stars hotel.
When checking in we arrived 1 hour before the actually check-in start time due to an error on their email before arriving. As a result our room was not available but they upgraded us into a premium higher floors room instead. Very professional!
Everything went super well. Breakfasts are some of the best I had with 4 stars hotels.
Only small negative points, not in the city center (but you would pay much more if we were in the city center) and the swimming pool area becomes quickly too small if you want to chill on a sunbed.

Due to a technical issue with booking app, a double reservation for different hotels was made. This is not the hotel's fault of course, but as soon as we reached out to them to explain what happened, they declined refunding the money. This was a reservation made on midnight for the following day as in there was less than a few hours between making the reservation, and letting them know of the error. They of course didn't care and absolutely declined to refund it.
It's a really bad indication when a hotel chooses to treat errors as an opportunity to grab money...and really for a one night stay booked at the last minute. It's not like the hotel had to decline so many other potential guests.
What a shame. I could have chosen this hotel when I return to Seville for a longer stay, had they been more courtieus and decent!

This Hotel Alcazar is in the perfect location in Sevilla. It is right across the street from the Alcazar gardens and just a few blocks from the old city center where everything is in walking distance. We had the most incredible view of the Seville Cathedral and Tower from our room. It was gorgeous at night with all the lights.
The room was comfortable, modern and clean. It was easy to regulate the temperature as the window opened and the air conditioning was efficient. The bathroom was small, but modern and clean. I especially appreciated the extending magnified make-up mirror. The beds were a little firm, so not as comfortable as we would expect. That was the only negative.
They have a beautiful rooftop bar, tapas, and swimming pool, which was a surprise. They also have underground paid parking around the corner, but parking a mid-size SUV was a little bit of a challenge. Be prepared to have one person spotting the driver around the concrete columns and tight turns.
Overall, we really enjoyed out stay. You couldn't find a hotel with a better location!

This hotel was perfect for our Sevilla trip. The location is great for spots like Plaza de España and of course Alcazar and a short walking distance to great restaurants, bars, and shops.
The pool has the best view of the city and the staff at the bar was really helpful.
We were 3 adults in the room with the pullout sofa couch and it was very spacious.
I want to especially thank Anna and Pablo at the front desk for an easy check-in and great recommendations for bars and restaurants.

Very good location, almost every sights and bus stop to the airport are available in a few minutes walk. The room was cosy, clean, silent and well-equipped. On the rooftop there is a beautiful view to the Giralda and the city. Staff was helpful, I was statisfied with everything.
In my opinion, the breakfeast could be better.

At arrival the staff tried to sell us a room with view over the park for a premium price. After we gratefully rejected and chose to take the normal room with „courtyard view“ we recieved the room pictured below.
After going back to the reception and requesting our money back the employees mood changed and we were met with unprofessional comments about our expectations. The room pictured below was 100€ room per night by the way. It is apparently how young people are being treated here at this hotel.
In the end we got our money back and the hotel is situated quite nice, but for this service 2 stars is already being generous.

Located in the old district area of Santa Maria La Blanca, walkable from Santa Justa Estacion and also convenient to explore la juderia area and picturesque spots and then on to other famous Seville sites like the Parque Maria Luisa, Alcazar etc. Arriving before 10 will need to knock hard to get the host to open and leave luggage. Reception opens at 10 and easy entry assured with coded gate lock. Rooms are on 2 levels with relatively not hard to climb stairs. Top floor is a wonderful solarium and covered terrace for quests to lounge-coffee and tea self service provided. Single room is cozy with comfy bed and ensuite bathroom. A/C and lighting were good.2 issue with furnishing include lack of larger table to put things on - so used the closet shelves; and just one convenient electrical outlet which was already used by bedside lamp. Room and bathroom clean. The host are accomodating and resides at the geoundfloor level. Wifi was easy to connect and robust.

Practical, central, quirky and clean, all guests and management were respectful and careful as seemed to appeal to a certain type of resident.
Due to type of building and open layout rooms very small, and acoustics could effect sleep for some.
The roof garden terrace has been carefully maintained sustainably with love. Try it and relax in peace.
Nothing was longer than a 20 minute walk as Sevilla is compact and very very easy to navigate.
We visited during festival so all hotel prices were quite high hence staying here.

The location is the best feature of this hostel, it is near to the Cathedral and several restaurants and bars, it is near to places where you can find breakfast early in the morning. The mister who runs the place is very kind, and my room was properly cleaned each day.
The noise is a fact. You hear noise from the street, from the room next door, when other tourists enter and leave the place, there're two main doors that make a terrible noise. My room was also very cold, and the heating device apparently didn't work.

Well located Pension very close to the main attractions. Rooms are a bit too small with decent bathrooms. The tiny terrace located on the rooftop is nice. Unhappily we had lots of ants in our room...(we had no food in the room) & find it pretty strange & also very uncomfortable. During the night anta were in the bed sheets so was quite gross...Rooms were clean daily & had new towls in daily basis but despite this there was a serious lack of hygiene & cleanliness. I was expecting more for the price we paid

One of the best options for accommodation maybe in the city. An old house completely refurbished and transformed into a modern hostel with the essence of Sevilla. Clean and really confortable room (some of them with bathroom). Staff are friendly, cheerful and careful. They help us always we needed it. Situated a few minutes away from the cathedral it's perfect for a touristic trip. I highly recommend you this place for your stay in Seville.
Practical Tips for Choosing Your Hotel Near Parque de María Luisa
Selecting the right property involves more than just looking at photographs; it requires matching the hotel’s character with your travel style. The area is quite compact, but the subtle differences in location can impact your daily itinerary. Here are some key considerations to keep in mind before you book your stay.
Consider the season and air conditioning. Seville is known as one of the hottest cities in Europe, with summer temperatures regularly exceeding 40°C (104°F). While almost all hotels have air conditioning, the efficiency varies greatly in historic buildings. Before booking for a July or August trip, read recent reviews specifically mentioning the cooling systems to ensure you can sleep comfortably during the hot nights.
Prioritize outdoor space. Given the beautiful weather for most of the year, having access to a terrace, garden, or pool can elevate your stay. A rooftop terrace provides a stunning vantage point for watching the sunset over the cathedral, while a private garden offers a quiet space to read. If you value relaxation, verify whether the pool is seasonal or heated, as some close during the winter months despite mild daytime temperatures.
Check accessibility and transport links. While the park is walkable, the surrounding streets are often cobblestone and can be tiring with heavy luggage. If you have mobility concerns or are traveling with small children, look for hotels that offer shuttle services or are located directly on the main avenues. Additionally, confirm if the hotel has a dedicated drop-off zone for taxis to avoid walking long distances from the main road.
Look for value-added packages. Many of the luxury hotels in this district offer packages that include breakfast, spa access, or tickets to nearby attractions. Because the area competes with the city center, hotels often provide complimentary bike rentals or guided tours of the park. Checking the hotel’s official website for "exclusive offers" can sometimes yield better perks than third-party booking sites.
Embrace the local dining scene. While hotel restaurants are excellent, some of the best dining experiences are just a short walk away on Avenida de la Borbolla or Calle Asunción. When checking into your hotel, ask the concierge for their personal recommendations for "abacerías" or traditional tapas bars where locals eat, rather than relying solely on international review apps which often steer tourists toward overpriced options.
Choosing to stay near Parque de María Luisa allows you to experience Seville at a slower, more authentic pace. You can spend your mornings wandering through the shaded paths of the park, your afternoons exploring the historic monuments, and your evenings dining among locals in the nearby streets. It is a neighborhood that feels both grand and intimate, offering a glimpse into the aristocratic past of the city while providing all the modern comforts a traveler needs.
No matter which hotel you select from the list above, you will be positioning yourself in one of the most beautiful and strategically convenient areas of the city. The gentle sounds of the fountains and the scent of orange blossoms will likely become your most cherished memories of your time in the Andalusian capital, proving that where you stay is just as important as what you see.
