I've literally been going to this Chinese store my whole life. They practically know me. You can always find everything you need at great prices. They're really nice.
Forza Napoli★★★★☆
The best bazaar in Granada, although prices have been increasing lately, is still a good option if you're looking for anything, but the only downside is the prices, which have increased drastically.
Manuel Guerra★★★★☆
I've been going to this Chinese store for years, years. I've bought everything from flashlights that shine like the sun to notebooks that already have the answers written in Mandarin. I really like the lady who runs it, the absolute boss of the place, with her legendary merchant's wisdom, and her employees who already recognize me as that customer who always asks if they have gift bags "but with glitter, but not too much, but not like a Christmas bag." Everything's fine, everything's perfect… until yesterday. Yesterday, my friends, I met the real owner of the place. No, it wasn't the Chinese lady. It was a cockroach. An ancient creature. An entity of darkness with an armored body and its own Wi-Fi antennae. I was with a friend looking for a gift box, a few meters apart, me focused on my search, like an Indiana Jones of the bazaars. She said to me: "If you find a nice one, show it to me." I, innocent, turned down one of the aisles, when suddenly, a shadow crossed my path. A stain with legs. A figure that didn't walk: it glided as if it had a driver's license. It was a cockroach. But not just any cockroach. No. This one was the size of a butane canister or… Nacho Vidal's member in a state of war. I let out a shriek, yes, but a manly one, I swear. Manly with a capital M and with an echo. It was a mix between a Viking roar and a falsetto cry for help. I had a mini heart attack. My life left me, it left me and came back in a second. And the worst part: the cockroach looked at me. Yes, IT LOOKED AT ME. It regarded me with a moral superiority as if to say, "Ah, you're the one who always buys brightly colored bags, aren't you?" And it kept walking as if nothing had happened, as if it were its store, as if it paid the rent. At that moment my friend arrived all happy, thinking she had found a box with glitter and unicorns, and all she found was my soul escaping through my mouth. Of course I'll keep coming. Of course I'll continue to love this place like you love a troublesome cousin: affectionately, but cautiously. I'm giving it 4 stars because the place deserves it. But the missing star is for that cockroach that now lives in my memories, in my spine, and in every corner I turn inside that Chinese restaurant. Beware. I've attached a similar photo of the specimen I saw. It's there. Watching. And probably selling boxes too.

I've come here twice now just to have lunch at the cafeteria. It's a great family lunch spot, lots of tables and room for kids, unlike many places in Granada that are very small if you have a larger family. They have a kids menu and gave the kids nice new crayons in a box, not broken little pieces. Get the zumo de naranja, it's fresh.

Variety of brands at very attractive deals. Every floor has specific products and they have tax free office in the first floor.

This is a fantastic area of the town. It’s very reminiscent of Turkish bazaar and Souqs. There is a good variety of stores though most of the souvenir shops tend to sell the same type of goods. There are more specialty shops that sell leather goods, Cork goods T-shirts and so on. There are also some nut spices and sweets stores. It is very close to the main square so after shopping for treasures, you can easily grab a quick bite or sit down at one of the many restaurants. It’s love as you get lost in these tiny back planes and discover some special items.

La Alcaicería is a charming shopping district in Granada's historic center. The narrow streets are lined with beautiful shops, cafes, and market stalls selling traditional souvenirs, handmade crafts, and local delicacies. The atmosphere is lively and festive, with vendors calling out and offering samples. I loved browsing the shops and markets, discovering unique treasures and soaking up the atmosphere. If you're looking for authentic souvenirs or just want to experience the local culture, La Alcaicería is a must-visit destination in Granada."

This shopping area was a lot of fun. Yes, there were some stores with cheap, possibly Asian-made products. But there were also lots of stores with authentic and handmade Spanish and Muslim-influenced products. My husband and I visited on a Tues in March 2025. We spent most of a morning wandering through the bazaar before our train back to Madrid. It was a pleasant way to spend time going for store to alley to store. We found a beautiful landscape print of the Alhambra, a magnet of the same, and small geometric jewelry boxes for my sisters in law. I wanted to buy bowls and platters but my husband reminded me of all the cava bottles we had to pack. And the platter we bought in Barcelona the week before.

The Zoco Nazarí, also known as the Alcaicería, in Granada is a historic market area that dates back to the Nasrid period. It is located in the heart of Granada, near the Granada Cathedral and the Royal Chapel. The Zoco Nazarí offers a glimpse into the city’s rich Moorish heritage and serves as a vibrant center for traditional crafts and souvenirs. The original Alcaicería was established during the Nasrid dynasty, which ruled Granada from the 13th to the 15th centuries. It was initially a bustling marketplace where silk, spices, and other luxury goods were traded. The original market was destroyed by a fire in 1843. The current structure was rebuilt in the mid-19th century, maintaining the narrow, labyrinthine streets and Moorish architectural style to preserve its historical essence. - The architecture of the Zoco Nazarí reflects traditional Moorish design, with narrow alleys, archways, and small squares. The buildings feature whitewashed walls, ornate wooden doors, and intricate tile work. Be careful with the steps, uneven stone streets and sidewalks, it’s easy to trip or fall. - The market’s layout is reminiscent of a typical Arabic souk, with winding pathways lined with small shops and stalls. The intimate and crowded atmosphere evokes the feel of an ancient bazaar. Be attentive of your surroundings and belongings since there may be pick pocketers in the area. - The Zoco Nazarí is home to a variety of shops selling traditional Andalusian and Moorish crafts. You can find items such as hand-painted ceramics, leather goods, textiles, lanterns, jewelry, and spices. They also have a variety of teas, food items, clothing and accessories like shoes and handbags. - Many of the goods sold in the market are handcrafted by local artisans, but some are mass produced touristy things. I love the traditional crafts which includes intricate marquetry (taracea), handmade wooden fans, colorful tiles (azulejos), and fine silk or cotton products, reflecting the region’s rich cultural heritage. - Walking through the Zoco Nazarí, visitors are immersed in a sensory experience filled with the sights, sounds, and scents of a traditional Arab market. The area is often bustling with activity, and the vibrant atmosphere is enhanced by the friendly interactions with shopkeepers. They also offer a variety of discounts if you buy multiple items from them, and it is acceptable to negotiate a price with them. Not often, but it may happen they try to insist in you buying from their shop, if you feel pressured just say: no thank you, and keep walking. - The market offers a connection to Granada’s past, providing insight into the city’s historical role as a center of trade and culture during the Nasrid period. The market's location near significant landmarks, such as the Cathedral and the Royal Chapel, adds to its historical context. - As a popular tourist destination, the market is often included in guided tours of the city. It provides an excellent opportunity for visitors to purchase unique souvenirs and experience the cultural legacy of Granada. Visiting the Zoco Nazarí offers a unique blend of history, culture, and commerce. It is an essential stop for anyone interested in exploring the traditional crafts and vibrant market culture of Granada. The market's Moorish architecture and lively atmosphere provide a memorable experience that connects visitors to the city's rich heritage.

a charming and historic market. The narrow streets are full of small shops selling traditional crafts, souvenirs, ceramics, scarves, and handmade items. The area has a beautiful Andalusian atmosphere. A lovely place to walk, shop, and experience the cultural spirit of Granada.

Very interesting historical lane. Supposed to be old silk bazar of grana but now souvenir shops are in abundance. Two squares in this whole lane is very intriguing. Some shops are genuinely selling beautiful handicrafts but with so many regular souvenir shops. It’s confusing and also doubtful. But one visit is must. Also very close to TEA lane.
Kelley Ahern★★★★☆
This is where the old silk market stood. It is filled with historic symbols, architecture and great stories. As a “shopping center” it has a couple of high end shops but it is mostly tourist items - leather goods, cultural clothing, inexpensive jewelry, pottery, etc. it is definitely worth visiting but maybe with a tour guide who can give the remarkable history of the area.
Ailsa Dempsey★★☆☆☆
The Alcaicería has an interesting and historic-looking buildings, but beyond that there’s not much to offer. The area is filled with souvenir shops selling very similar items, nothing particularly unique. Worth a quick walk-through for the architecture, but don’t expect much more than standard tourist souvenirs.
Zakaria Chabani★★☆☆☆
Not that bad. But literally everyone is morrocan sellimg things representing Morocco, and for the food it's mainly turkish. Don't get me wrong i like both , but while is spain i appreciate more spanish vibes 😌

Best place to have fun in leisure time. We went to bowling and enjoyed a lot.
Onur Ozsoy★★★★★
Just north of Granada, Spain, Pulianas hosts the important shopping and leisure complex Granaita. Combining the previous Alameda Shopping Center with Kinépolis Park produced this greatest commercial and recreational park in the area with more than eighty stores. Among the many stores, restaurants, and leisure choices Granaita offers are the Kinépolis Granada movie, with 15 screens and around 4,600 seats. Easily reachable by highways A44 and A92, the complex has been lately upgraded with better parking and pedestrian areas to provide a better visiting experience.
Ali Ahm★★★★☆
A good place for recreation and leisure time both for adults and kids. It needs some improvement though. Regarding the city it can be improved a lot with latest machines, games and repairs. Staff also needs some training regarding improving their work pace and behaving very politely. They are polite though but they need to present pleasant expressions.

Stopped for drinks and a cake while out shopping, cake selection excellent would recommend. Service was good staff polite and happy to practice his English. Place was kept clean. Would recommend and hope to go back.

Quite surprised at the size if the place, loads of places to eat and shop, also some activities like bowling. Outside of the shopping centre in the surrounding areas are some other well established stores like decathlon, lidl etc. Easy to get to, and loads of free parking Well worth a visit.

Shopping Tips for Visitors Near the Alhambra

Shopping in a historic city like Granada comes with its own set of unwritten rules and local customs. Understanding these nuances can greatly enhance your experience, ensuring you get the best value and the most authentic products. The following tips are designed to help you navigate the commercial streets with the confidence of a local, ensuring your money is spent wisely and your luggage is filled with quality treasures rather than tourist traps.

  1. Embrace the Siesta Schedule: Many smaller, family-owned shops in areas like the Albayzín and the city center close between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Plan your shopping for the late morning or early evening to avoid finding locked doors.
  2. Look for the "Fajalauza" Mark: If buying ceramics, look for authentic Fajalauza pottery, which features specific blue and green patterns on a white background. This guarantees you are buying a genuine piece of Granada’s history rather than a mass-produced import.
  3. Carry Cash for the Alcaicería: While larger stores accept cards, many vendors in the narrow streets of the old silk market and smaller artisan shops prefer cash or have a minimum spend for card transactions. Small bills are always appreciated.
  4. Check for the "Tapa" Culture: When taking a break from shopping in local bars, remember that Granada is one of the last cities in Spain where a free tapa is served with your drink. Order a drink, and you might not need to pay for lunch, saving money for souvenirs.
  5. Ask About Shipping: If you fall in love with heavy items like large ceramics or inlaid wood furniture, don’t assume you have to carry it home. Many reputable shops near the cathedral and the Alhambra offer international shipping services. Always ask about "envío" before abandoning a purchase.

As you weave your way through the bustling plazas and quiet alleys, the connection between the city’s commercial life and its historical soul becomes clear. The shops near the Alhambra are not just places to buy things; they are repositories of centuries-old traditions, from the art of damascene metalwork to the careful crafting of Spanish guitars. Taking the time to explore these areas allows you to bring home a piece of Granada’s enduring legacy.

Ultimately, the best shopping experience is one that allows you to slow down and appreciate the atmosphere. Whether you are sipping Moroccan tea in a tetería in the Calderería Nueva or trying on a tailored shirt on Calle Recogidas, you are participating in a lifestyle that values leisure and quality over speed. So, put away the map occasionally, wander into a side street, and let the unique rhythm of Granada guide you to your next great find.
