One of the best eggs Benedict I’ve had! Perfectly cooked poached eggs. The miso and sichuan oil were a great combination and can’t miss it. We also had the avocado toast with truffle sauce which was great as well. The açaí smoothie was fresh and refreshing too. We ended with an almond cake which was awesome, highly recommend this place!

Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere was wonderful, warm and welcoming, and our waitress was absolutely lovely and made the whole experience even better. She was so friendly, attentive and kind.
I had the bacon sandwich and it was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful and perfectly prepared. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place! ❤️

Thanks Jason for the brilliant service. The Cantonese style scrambled eggs were some of the best I’ve ever had and the ‘soft’ cortado as this cafe cutely calls it was perfection. Brazilian coffee beans brewed just right. Come a bit earlier in the day so you don’t need to wait in line. Interiors are also so charming.

Busy restaurant and there can be a line, but don’t stress and don’t let that deter you from waiting. The wait doesn’t take long! The service here is fantastic, quick and genuine. Very good food and coffee as well. We were very happy with this place and would came back! Thanks to server Cami for helping us have a good experience here

Beautiful place with a truly magical atmosphere. I absolutely loved the interior design, the vibe, and the overall feeling of the space. It is one of those places where you instantly feel relaxed and want to stay longer. The staff and service were also excellent, very friendly and attentive.
We especially loved the matcha with coconut water. It was delicious and definitely something I would order again.
As for the food, it was just okay. We tried the scrambled eggs with avocado and the eggs Benedict. The brunch dishes were decent, but not particularly memorable. Still, I would definitely come back for the atmosphere and would love to try some of the pastries or cakes next time.

Wonderful decoration. Impressive latte art which is copying my friend’s outfit!! Very sweet coffee of course. They make fresh juices from the squeezing machine. Food looks good and tastes good.
Highly recommended.

Cutest cafe. Very welcoming. The coffee was yum and we got the most adorable designs on the coffee. We also asked for a personalised one as a memory for our girls trip and were surprised with an amazing design. Definitely recommended if your in Madrid 🤌🏼

One of the best brunch spots I’ve visited in a long time. The cappuccino was exceptional—smooth, rich, perfectly balanced, and beautifully presented with the cutest Luffy latte art. Every detail felt thoughtfully crafted ❤️❤️❤️ Highly recommend it!!!

Great breakfast / brunch option in Salamanca. We had to wait a bit in line (~20 mins), but it was worth it, and the host did everything he could to speed things up for us.
The food didn't just look good - we enjoyed it a lot - and the coffee was great as well (super important for coffee lovers like us). Would definitely recommend
chanelle mwale★★★★★
There was a slight queue to get in her but the wait was well worth it, delicious meal with generous servings at good value for money. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the service was quick. The brunch itself was fresh, nice mix of fruit on the plate and french toast was thick and fluffy. I would recommend here to tourists and non spanish speakers as the staff was patient with me when i tried ordering in spanish. All in all a great breakfast and delicious coffee!

The food was really good especially the guacamole !! Best brunch in Madrid for sure. The place is clean and pretty. Also the staff is nice and chatty too. Truly recommend this place. Muchas gracias por todo 😉
Allie Hult★★★☆☆
The food and drinks seem pretty good, but they’re also very pricey. I had the acai bowl, which was still pretty frozen (albeit tasty), and the lavender and vanilla latte, which was amazing. It’s a cute locale but very small, and the workers and environment are extremely insistent on not using a computer and having you leave quickly. This is the kind of place you want to go to so you can post about it on social media once, not the kind of place to become a regular at.
Nina Gírethová★★★★☆
Food was amazing and the atmosphere was really cozy. They also had great gluten-free options, which we really appreciated.
However, the service let it down. We were still finishing our drinks after about 40 minutes when we were told there was a queue outside and asked to leave if we weren’t ordering more, which felt quite rushed.
Overall, great food and vibe, but the service made the experience less enjoyable.

We went there as a couple only looking for some great cocktails (one of their strongest points) and sweets.
Ainoha who served us was very accommodating and willing to go above and beyond. 5 stars for her.
What we did not appreciate - hence my low rating:
- we had to wait at least 20 minutes. For good restaurants that’s understandable. However there were 4 seats available upstairs (two at the bar, two at a free table). 5 people waiting before us, none of them seated - nor us - at these free seats. When we finally got seated downstairs there were two other free tables with 4 more free seats.
- the cocktail guy (or girl 🤍) was free today. So they had no cocktails. Unacceptable for such a busy place in the middle of Madrid
- we had two of the menu’s stars: the pistachio pancakes and the cinnamon rolls. The pancakes were a disappointment for me - three pancakes, good looking, with a bit of pistachio frosting and icecream on top. But tasteless otherwise. I would not recommend. I appreciated the roll - very sweet for my husband yet ok for me.
- very difficult to drink coffee out of the very nice looking cups
I would definitely not recommend nor come again.

This breakfast spot was absolutely incredible!! We just needed a place that opened early before we left for the airport, and we were very happy for an 8am opening. My daughter had the burger (yes, for breakfast, and she wasn’t the only one!) and I had the French toast. I didn’t get to taste the burger because it was completely gone before I had a chance to ask for a bite. But the French toast, besides the beautiful display, came with a little scoop of ice cream that nicely replaced the need for syrup, plus fresh strawberries and blueberries and a caramelized banana. The details were so nicely done. Even my cappuccino was so beautifully crafted! I cannot recommend this place enough. Every food item that came out to other tables looks delicious and I’m sending my other daughter here when she studies in Madrid next semester!
Juan Campo★★★★☆
It’s a popular tourist spot, so it’s usually bustling with visitors, partly because of its reputation and the hype surrounding it. The atmosphere is lively, but it definitely feels quite touristy.
The food is decent overall, although the menu leans heavily toward desserts. One thing I didn’t particularly like is their practice of encouraging customers to leave a five-star review at the end of the meal. When it seems to be a standard part of the experience, it takes away some of the authenticity and usefulness of the reviews when deciding whether to visit. The approach to tipping also felt a bit excessive.
Overall, the food is decent, but considering the crowds and potential wait, I’m not sure the experience is worth the hype.
Sarah Dettmann★★★★★
Brunch here ! Such a good spot. Amazing food, service, and I loved the vibes/ decor.
The salmon Benedict was super fresh, and the potato waffle with truffle mushroom is a must if you love mushrooms. The Pistachio Obsession café was creamy, aesthetic, and honestly so good.
Alejandro gave great service, friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Would definitely go back.
The Foodie Crusader★★★★★
This place had a bit of a wait, but i think it was worth it. Its very nice and cozy inside. The staff is nice and friendly. The food was excellent. The latte was delicious. The Spanish omelet was super yummy. It basically reminds me of potatoes au gratin wrapped with a thin sheet of egg. I got mine with pork belly and it was delicious and filling for me. We ordered the French toast by mistake but it worked out for us. It was absolutely delicious. The toast was soft, sweet, and flavorful, the ice cream and fresh berries made it all come together nicely. The prices are reasonable. I would definitely come back, and i would make this a must visit.

I was looking for a brunch place in Madrid that had outdoor seating so I can take in the views of the city. This was such a cute brunch place, great vibes, and the food was delicious. My server Alexis was very helpful and attentive. He served me water and made sure I was comfortable while I waited for my outside table, and he had it ready for me as soon as they were done eating. Highly recommend this place 🙂

Searched online for the best pancake stack and this one came up on top with 4.9 stars. Quaint place with some cool and unusual art decor, creating a warm and comfy space. We only ordered 2 pancake stacks and a coffee, which were delicious. Our waitress was Romina, and she was friendly and accommodating despite our lack of spanish. Our food took very long to come out despite the place being quiet. The bright side to this is thay we did not feel rushed at all. Another cute thing they do, is to present the bill in an egg box. Loved that. A very memorable experience.

It’s a really cute cafe, I like the Egg Benedict, especially the potato inside! You can enjoy a good time here. Only small improvement is that for the mushroom toast is a bit dry for me. Overall it’s highly recommended for relaxing here~
Thank you the staff, Alan, is really nice ✨ providing the good service.
We have a good time here.

What a great brunch spot! Walking in during the very late morning on a Friday in September, I got a seat right away. The space is small, but they use the space well to fit a handful of small tables.
The server was very quick and friendly. He recommended the chilaquiles with beef and wow. It was excellent as was the pistachio latte. I’d definitely go back!

What a wonderful find in the heart of La Latina! Cocuiza is a charming, quaint brunch spot where it’s immediately clear that real time, care, and attention go into every dish. Everything we tried was meticulously prepared and beautifully presented, with interesting flavour combinations that were both creative and absolutely delicious.
The recommendations were excellent and made the whole experience even better. The owner was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and took the time to explain everything perfectly, which added such a personal touch to our visit.
A truly special little place with fantastic food, unique flavours, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended — we will definitely be coming back!

Surprisingly large portions, be ready to share if you order one of the pancake stacks. Really good food, fresh drinks, and service, the prices are a bit higher but for the quantity and quality it really is worth it. The staff were very friendly. We got there early on a Sunday, but if you plan to go mid-morning you might want to call ahead and reserve a table, they were very busy when we left, with a line out the door.
Olivia Seward★★★★★
Best breakfast place in Madrid. If you care about food…come here!! The pancakes were the best I’ve ever had in my life- perfect flavor and perfect texture. The hash browns were also great too. I will be coming back to try more on the menu. Also mentioning there’s self serve water which is great!! So happy we found this spot.

I got the watermelon juice & sweet salty chicken. This is way better than any chicken & waffles I’ve had in the USA. Amazing. Great sauce& flavor. I like the coleslaw on it too. It was very busy so I would recommend making a reservation.

Absolutely best salmon eggs Benedict ever. The coconut smoothie was delicious as well; I drank it sooo fast. 10/10 service and cutest seating areas. Loved getting a seat by the window and being able to have brunch with a gorgeous view. Perfect place to stop by after touring the palace!

We were rushing to get to the Royal Palace on Tuesday morning and we were in dire need of some breakfast after a long day of travel the night before. We looked up some reviews and saw this place at a 4.9 and I honestly think it should have a perfect five. We had what we thought was the best breakfast we had in our 18 days of Europe here. The food was absolutely delicious, freshly cooked, presented well, And very tasty. The service was quick and once we told the waiter that we were in a rush, we were in and out in about 40 min, which is exactly what we needed to do. There are only about 15 tables in the restaurant and it is a small intimate venue but the location is almost perfect if you're looking for a place to stop or visiting the Royal Palace of Madrid. Definitely consider it if you are in the area.

The food was absolutely delicious and full of authentic Vietnamese flavor. The pho was rich and comforting, the spring rolls were fresh and crispy, and the service was warm and attentive. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, and everything felt clean and welcoming. I really enjoyed my dining experience here and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

I’m currently traveling in Madrid and was so impressed to find this authentic Mexican brunch spot. Every plate is made with love and attention to detail, and the flavors are incredible. It’s definitely a hidden gem!
I had the enfrijoladas with an added egg on top, and they were absolutely delicious. I also tried the fresh carrot, orange, and ginger juice — so good. The portions are generous, and everything was beautifully prepared. My friend had the enchiladas, and they were delicious as well.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Mexican brunch in Madrid.

Great breakfast place. The atmosphere is cozy with meutarla colors. The food was delicious. The place us clean and i liked the small garden they have as a decoration. And the staff were friendly and accommodating. Definitely coming back again and highly recommended.

Kind and helpful staff. Relaxing atmosphere. Good location. Very good price.

There’s a lovely terrace that’s perfect for summertime, and inside there’s a super comfortable couch that makes it great for relaxing. The food offers really good value for money, the coffee is great, and the pastries are absolutely amazing. I’d definitely recommend it for brunch or just a nice coffee break. The service can be a bit slow at times, but overall it’s pretty good. I go there often!
Maho Hernández★★☆☆☆
I don't know why this place is popular...
Let's start with the service. There were enough waiters to be attentive to the customers. Around 15 minutes it took to take our order, and the treatment was horrifying. All hectic all the time, throwing the plates and interrupting while asking the order.
Then, the place is so small, that you will never be comfortable. So expect being bumped by people passing by you or with other chairs behind you.
And last, the food. Let's start with the menu:
How is it that they offer you two "brunch menus" so if you don't want that amount of food, you have to take it either way because at the end the price won't change.
Then, we ordered the shashuka and roast beef sandwich. They were OK, but forget to actually taste the roast beef as they paired it up with a strong taste bread and sauce, which made the taste of the roast beef to disappeared. We also had the nutella waffle, but we were so desperate to leave that I forgot yo take a picture to it.
Overall, disappointment... The name of the restaurant it's actually very appropriate for the experience: Bendita Locura...
Julie M. Kjendlie★★★★★
Went for the Classic as it was more choices and value for money. Basically, gained the juice and the French toast for €5 more. That said, it was more than I could handle alone and it would have been good to go with company to share.
The server was helpful pulling up an English menu on her phone as I was struggling with connection.
I particularly enjoyed that they used onsen tamago (slow cooked eggs Japanese way) instead of poached egg for the eggs benedict. Unexpected and it worked well.
alessandra diaz★★★☆☆
This place is great for brunch! It was 20 euros for a latte, chia pudding, and a main. I am assuming that the other mains tasted good because I got the chicken and waffles and it was terrible. I could not finish it. It made me so sad because I LOVE WAFFLES, but the waffles was way too sweet and tasted very artificially vanilla. The texture was stale and the fried chicken on top was kind of Asian? Almost like sweet and sour. I had a lovely experience and I LOVED the pink latte but PLEASE DO NOT ORDER THE CHICKEN AND WAFFLES! My friend ordered the shakshuka and liked it so maybe go with that.

Zenith serves one of the finest brunches I’ve had in Madrid. You can immediately tell they use high-quality, fresh ingredients—everything tastes homemade and carefully prepared rather than mass-produced. The bread was perfectly fresh, the eggs were cooked flawlessly, the fruit was ripe and flavorful, and every ingredient felt thoughtfully selected.
The presentation is beautiful, but more importantly, every dish is balanced, fresh, and genuinely delicious. Pair that with excellent cocktails, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere, and it’s an easy 5-star experience. If you appreciate brunch made with premium ingredients and real attention to detail, Zenith is a place you shouldn’t miss.
Josh Armstrong★★★☆☆
Compared to other brunch places, the food could’ve been better. The atmosphere was great, and the coffee was decent, but a little weak. I had the shashuka that was more stewed, tomatoes, and peppers than protein and yogurt. It would’ve been better with more eggs and yogurt. My Wife had the eggs Benedict, that were a bit undercooked, meaning the egg whites were still runny on the inside, and the hollandaise sauce was only OK.
Joseph Dillon-Redmile★★★★★
The food, service and atmosphere is amazing. Madrid is really busy and going to somewhere chill like this, is a life saver. The people made me feel really welcomed and I can’t thank them enough for that.
They were also very patient with me, when trying to practice my Spanish and I really appreciate that as well. The place has a real human touch, which you don’t often get these days, especially in places like Madrid.
As for the other reviews… Yes the place is busy, so be patient! Also for the price you pay, the food is 5 stars. You can’t complain about the quality of the food for the price you get.
Thank you to everyone at this lovely restaurant!

Hello everyone,

A special shout-out to Jesús, our waiter, who was absolutely outstanding. He went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. He is truly the cherry on top of an already fantastic restaurant.

Zenith is a perfect spot for breakfast and brunch, offering a wide range of delicious choices—it’s honestly hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. The quality of the food and the relaxed atmosphere make it a great place to start your day.
The staff are exceptional, especially Jesus, who is a true gentleman. His recommendations were spot on and added to the overall experience.
Definitely a must-try for anyone looking for a satisfying and enjoyable breakfast or brunch.
Tips for Choosing the Perfect Breakfast Spot
Navigating the breakfast scene in a bustling capital like Madrid requires a bit of local insight. The difference between a mediocre tourist trap and an authentic, satisfying meal often comes down to timing and a few key details. Keep these practical tips in mind to ensure you eat like a local and get the best value during your visit near the museum.
1. Understand the local timing.
Spaniards typically eat breakfast later than Northern Europeans or Americans. While many cafés open early for coffee, kitchens for brunch often don’t start serving full menus until 10:00 AM or 11:00 AM. If you are an early riser, look for traditional cafeterías rather than trendy brunch spots.
2. Look for the "Tostada con Tomate."
If you want a truly authentic Spanish breakfast, skip the pastries and order a tostada con tomate (toasted bread rubbed with fresh tomato, drizzled with olive oil, and sprinkled with salt). Pair it with a café con leche or fresh orange juice for a light but energizing start.
3. Check for the "Menú del Día" spillover.
While primarily a lunch concept, some restaurants near the museum begin serving breakfast and brunch specials that offer incredible value. Look for chalkboards outside that list a combined price for a coffee, juice, and main dish, which often saves you several euros compared to ordering à la carte.
4. Reserve ahead on weekends.
The area around the Paseo del Prado is incredibly popular with both tourists and locals on Saturdays and Sundays. If you have your heart set on a specific brunch spot, particularly those known for pancakes or eggs Benedict, call ahead or book a table online to avoid a 30 to 45-minute wait.
5. Explore the side streets.
The main boulevards, while beautiful, often charge a premium for the view. If you walk just two or three blocks away from the museum into the Barrio de Salamanca or the Justicia neighbourhood, you will find family-run cafés where the prices are lower, the coffee is stronger, and the atmosphere is far more authentic.
6. Don’t skip the "Zumo de Naranja Natural."
Spain is famous for its citrus, and most cafés have a machine that squeezes oranges on the spot. While it costs a bit more than bottled juice, the taste is incomparable and provides a refreshing burst of energy for a day of walking through museums.
As the morning rush calms and the sun climbs higher over the Paseo del Prado, you will find that this neighbourhood truly shines as a culinary destination. Whether you chose a quick espresso at a standing bar or lingered over a lavish spread of avocado toast and specialty coffee, the right breakfast sets the tone for the rest of your day.
After you have finished your meal, you are perfectly positioned to continue your cultural journey. Take a leisurely stroll through the nearby Retiro Park, browse the stalls at the Cuesta de Moyano book fair, or simply sit on a bench and watch the city wake up, satisfied that you have experienced Madrid like a true local.
