15 Best Pizza Spots in Annecy

Nestled between the pristine waters of Lake Annecy and the dramatic peaks of the French Alps, the “Venice of the Alps” is famous for its postcard-perfect scenery and outdoor adventures. Yet beyond the canals and cobblestones lies a surprisingly dynamic culinary landscape that deserves just as much attention as the views. While Savoyard cheese dishes like fondue and tartiflette often steal the spotlight, the city has quietly become a haven for pizza lovers seeking both authentic Neapolitan craftsmanship and creative Alpine-inspired toppings.

Finding a genuinely good pizza in a tourist-heavy destination can be hit or miss, as flashy terraces often overshadow the quality of what is on the plate. However, Annecy’s dining scene is anchored by passionate artisans who respect slow fermentation, wood-fired ovens, and high-quality imported Italian ingredients. Whether you are refueling after a swim in the lake or warming up after a day on the slopes, the right slice can elevate your entire visit.

This guide cuts through the noise to highlight the establishments that locals actually line up for, not just the places with the best views of the Thiou river. We have evaluated the dough texture, sauce balance, cheese quality, and the overall atmosphere to provide a curated list that suits every type of traveler. From quick grab-and-go slices in the Old Town to sit-down dinners with alpine views, there is a pie for every palate here.

You will find that the best spots often blend the strict traditions of Italian pizza-making with the rich, hearty flavors of the Haute-Savoie region. This means you might encounter local Reblochon cheese, smoked mountain ham, or wild mushrooms sitting atop a perfectly charred crust. It is a culinary fusion that works remarkably well and offers a unique taste of the French Alps.

To help you navigate the scene, we have organized the best options based on dough authenticity, ingredient sourcing, and value for money. Whether you are a strict purist who only eats Marinara or an adventurous eater looking for a tartiflette-inspired pie, this list has you covered. We have also included practical tips on when to go and how to order like a local.

Below is the definitive list of the best pizza spots in Annecy, curated to satisfy your cravings while respecting the culinary standards of both Italy and France.

Fantastic pizzas. I go back for more and more and more. Their chili oil is also so great! Simple and fresh pizzas. Quite light and refreshing. It’s France but you must try this Italian spot!
Nu Review★★★★★
So we ate here 3 times while we were visiting Annecy! Loved the capone pizza! The salad was incredible as well While not fancy it was fantastic! The best part was our waiter Evariste and Partice. The only disappointment is I will have to travel 17 hours to get it again

The Pizza was very good, one of the best pizza spots in Anncey. (Not my favorite one but still very good) The location is great, in the middle of the old city, can get very crowded and noisy so take that into account if u don't like noise. There are a variety of choices in the menu and we all like our pizzas, so would say great. The dough is perfect with a very nice crust. There is an outside as well as inside sitting area. Staff were helpful.
Nick Mannion★★★★★
Excellent delicious pizza. There was 4 of us. We got 3 pizzas and one of their salads and that was plenty. We all had a drink each and the bill came to under 100 euros which is very reasonable. Service was quick, friendly and helpful. Make sure you book though as it gets busy.
Jessica★★★★★
You need to book! The food was fantastic, cannot recommend enough if your staying in Annecy. The best seller is amazing.

It’s good pizza but a bit disappointed after I was told the chef/owner (the Italian guy in the kitchen) was from Naples. For starters the margherita was a bit heavy on the cheese and didn’t really look like some of the margheritas I saw in the photos. The pizza is good, nice tasty tomato sauce. But I’ve definitely had better, again for the marghertia I was served, a bit more cheese than I would prefer. But if you’re hungry it’s great food. I took my food to go so I can’t comment on the service.
Sarah★★★★★
This place is typically packed but for great reason- everyone is lining up to try this gem of a spot. It’s authentic, freshly baked, perfectly charred napolitano pizza served with the greatest service you’ll find around. The tiramisu is also so divine- creamy and rich, and a plus, there’s no alcohol! Definitely make the stop if you’re in Annecy
Janne Färm★★★★★
Really delicious pizzas! We stopped by with friends while passing through, and it was definitely worth it. Highly recommend!
Richard Fox★★★★★
Fantastic pizza. We sat outside and it’s not the most fashionable restaurant in Annecy, but the pizza is very very good. We had one of the cheaper options whose name escapes me, basically a slightly spicy one. There was loads of cheese and topping , pizza base was thin in the middle and crispy and fuller at the edges but not too much. For me a really good combination. Seems the owner is Italian, looks like they slice their sausage/hams in house. Lovely waitress who was run off her feet on the night of the France v Senegal match. We queued for 10 mins but it was worth it. It’s good value for money and very tasty. Recommended. Ps. We had a cheap bottle of primativo that complemented the pizza and was delicious and value for money too. If you like pizza … it’s a hit
Katharina Anaskina★★★★★
If you suddenly crave a slice of perfect pizza, the cozy atmosphere of a homey restaurant, and fast, attentive service—this is the place for you. They’ll find you a table! We came for lunch without a reservation and had already been turned away at several places with a cold “No tables available.” But here, despite the rush hour, we were warmly welcomed and treated to amazing pizza! Thank you for our wonderful lunch.

First place I went to upon arriving in Annecy and how lucky I was to have picked I loved it so much it was also the last place I went before departing. Food-wise, the pizza is fantastic (I had the Margherita). Coincidentally I bumped into two of my fellow countrymen (also tourists) who said they'd been there every day as they also loved the pizzas. But what makes the whole experience perfect is the atmosphere. Relaxed but trendy, and such wonderful staff who are so friendly, generous and inviting. Plus their music selection was great. Lots of dream pop and cool indie. And it's not often you hear VAST (a personal favourite of mine) played in the wild, so thank you to Luna/Lune for that particular selection. Next time I'm in Annecy it will be the first place I go. (P.S. And as a going away gift we were also presented with a lovely mocktail to wish us well on our travels. Such a nice touch.)
Emily Broyles★★★★★
We got one Queen and one Chèvre pizza, a Madeleina and a Peach Aperol drink and a peach kombucha and a tiramisu with chocolate sprinkles. It was all delicious!
Kerry McEnery★★★★★
A really great find. Easy parking, cosy restaurant, lovely people and delicious food!

A wonderful place out of touristic route with delicious pizza. It is not the first time when I eat here. The ingredients are of high quality. The dough is thin and healthy. Highly recommended.
nathan iverson★★★★★
The pizza was exactly like the pizza we had in Vipiteno, Italy! So good!
Marwa Albalooshi★★★★★
We had a great experience at Giulia Restaurant Pizzeria. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The pizza was absolutely delicious, fresh, full of flavor, and one of the best we tried in Annecy. The atmosphere was warm and cozy as well. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Italian food and great service.
Chong Ong★☆☆☆☆
The server became very disinterested when we ordered 1 pizza to share. The first pizza delivered was badly burnt, so had to complain to get a replacement. Fortunately the pizza tasted quite good. We left without considering deserts.

Great pizza. Great service. Managed to fit in a party of 6 despite being nearly fully booked. Thanks!

The Focaccia is delicious and the service was great. Highly recommend if you want a nice and filling meal at a good competitive price in a nice and cosy location. Will be back !
Christopher Weisler★★★★★
Absolute banger of a sandwich! Super friendly staff too! Perfect for taking to the lake.
Martina★★★☆☆
Could be really good, but definitely not for vegans. The focaccia itself was so good, but the vegan option is basically paying for the non vegan option with meat and cheese, choosing not to have meat and cheese, and then paying more if you want to add something else to the otherwise plain 2 ingredients sandwich. So at the end: one sandwich with only avocado, tomatoes, salad and cucumber ended up cost 2 euros more than the one with meat and cheese.
eira gaffey★★★★★
Had a delicious focaccia today. I ordered #3 parmatella. I was served by two lovely lads, my focaccia was made quickly to take away and was good value for money. I will definitely be back ⭐️

Great pizzas and salads - the whole family enjoyed their meals and the service was great.
Richard Laver★☆☆☆☆
Terrible experience with the manager, at first we thought it was a waiter but no! The manager! We asked if there was a place for 6 people and he said yes. When we started to sit the manager very rudely said there was no place for 6. And the place is empty in the photo you can see where we were seated and there are tables around us. Avoid rude managers!
Rafael Michels Motta★★☆☆☆
Friendly staff but we didn’t like the food. We decided to order a rigatoni with chicken. It was not good and expensive. I think there was maximum 30-40g of chicken. It looked like a kids plate

We tried the salmon pizza and found it quite original and tasty. It was definitely a nice surprise and a good option if you are looking for a pizza to take away. There are only a few tables available, so we would recommend ordering your pizza for takeaway rather than dining in.
Heidi Martin★★★★★
Best pizza I’ve ever had! Such an unassuming place so we went in for take out and were shocked at the fresh ingredients and the amazing crust! My husband and I are vegan so we had them take off the cheese from the vegetarian pizza. They have this really good pesto like sauce that they added and they have a spicy oil that we drizzled on. We went back next day for another one while we were visiting Annecy! Don’t miss this pizza place!!
Terry Nicolson★★★★★
Elegance, professionalism. astonishingly good food, atmosphere, longing, selection. This place has it all. This could honestly be one of the best restaurants I've been to in my life. It has everything. For adults and kids alike, it was a veritable museum of history and area and has jaw dropping pieces around the establishment on the walls and in cabinets end benchers that could keep you busy for hours before, during and after your meal. The food..... Every piece of it was 5 stars, I would have given it 6 if I could. The fondue, was to die for and is the first thing anyone should get upon first visit here. We had 2, a cheese fondue with the region's melted cheeses and meat one using chicken, beef and duck. What cacophony of tastes in my mouth. What an explosion of flavour. In the battle of the tongue verse the tum there is only one loser, and it is your belly, after that first morsel passes your lips your stomach has no chance. It would be remiss of any one to come here on any sort of diet and nor should they. If you are any sort of culinary novice or expert, this particular french cuisine must be had if you are in the region. The one to beat.
Jennifer C.★★★★★
One of the best pizzas I have had in forever. Even my husband, who does not like pizza, was in love.
Adrian Wieczorek★★★★★
Very good pizza. Well backed, lot of toppings on pizza. Fresh ingredients. Tasty and delicious. Fast service. Little small location(2 tables inside, 2 tables outside) but I took to go so I’m ok with that. They have a kiosk for order if you are not sure which pizza you want, really convenient. Recommend them!

Stopped by for dinner here. Honestly I expected some greater variety in the menu but the food was still wonderful. No issues with service, everyone was very friendly. The scenery is absolutely beautiful as you have a lovely view of the canal. All in all, not too much to say. The food was absolutely delicious, service was good, atmosphere is wonderful, just overall a great place to stop by for lunch or dinner in the area.
Kaya Alice★★★★★
We had a lovely dinner on the terrace! The outside area is quiet enough, but gives you a beautiful view and atmosphere! The pizza is fantastic! One of the best pizzas outside of Italy! They are very generous with their toppings and the dough has the perfect crisp and flavor. The service was great as well - the staff is very kind and friendly, attentive and always wears a smile! A wonderful dinner spot in the center of Annecy! We will definitely come back!
Tudor Leriu★★★★☆
When I first saw the location of this place in the center of Annecy, I was fully clenched and preparing to be tourist trapped. I was surprised to see that in terms of quality, the food was quite nice and the staff was actually polite and patient. I'm so used to horrible quality food from rude staff in these central tourist locations that I just had to come write a review and let people know this is a good option for the area. Mind you, we did speak French so perhaps we didn't get the full tourist experience.
Mohammed shadid★★★★★
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really enjoyed our meal at La Rialto. The food was delicious, fresh and very reasonably priced, especially considering the lovely location. The restaurant had a great atmosphere — busy and lively without feeling too crowded. What stood out most was the excellent service. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive throughout our meal, even though the restaurant was busy. Everything came out promptly and we felt very well looked after. Most importantly, everyone in the family was happy with their food, which is always a good sign! Great food, excellent service, fair prices and a lovely setting. Would definitely recommend La Rialto and happily come back again.

Found this little gem during our last trip to Annecy and had to back to try more! The pizzas are top notch and full of flavor, as are the impeccable cocktails and delicious desserts! The owners were incredibly friendly and came over to explain how they only use Italian ingredients- even the sodas and vodka were Italian. Impeccable service, impeccable food, a MUST when in Annecy. This experience is not to be missed 🍕❤️
Tim Cole★★★★☆
Excellent pizza - great crust and good toppings (see photo). Only 4 vegetarian options though - would be nice to see more. Also, have a very weird rule that every customer has to order a pizza and you can’t share one 🤷🏻‍♂️
Olivier Rodriguez★★★★★
Amazing food, great ambiance, and 2 very hardworking entrepreneurs. The drinks are awesome made with Italian soda, Italian vodka etc… the pizza OMG!!!! To die for, I’ve had a lot of pizzas in my life, but now you’re talking next level, from the dough to the fresh and once again Italian ingredients, this a recipe for success. We had a chance to have a tour of the kitchen and everything was impeccable. This is definitely an experience you don’t want to miss when in Annecy!

Promise to visit this restaurant!!! If you are in Annecy, we can highly recommend this small restaurant, where we had a very delicious and beautifully arranged 3-course menu. The restaurant is run by 2 young and charming women, one standing in the kitchen and the other serving. All the food was really really good (we tasted everything except the chocolate dessert). The tatare was exceptionelly yummie!

The best pizza in France ( I was in Paris, Metz, Grenoble, Strasbourg ) and owner is very good person to talk with.

We had a Pizza and the risotto. The Pizza was absolutely exquisite. Thin base and thick crust. The risotto was good but it was amazing for a vegan option especially considering the consistency. The highlight is the staff. Absolutely friendly and very welcoming. They totally set the ambience. The decor is definitely interesting and unique. I enjoyed it very much but it's not for everyone. All in all very good experience will visit again when i get the chance.

Terrible experience! Very far from Italian restaurant! The guy with glasses ( the waiter) was very arrogant and not friendly with me from the beginning. I just asked to change my wine for another one as I didn’t like the taste of wine and he said me if u choose another it’s same. When I asked him to see the bottle, he said me we don’t show it in France how we put the wine. I said I’m from Paris and he said me: In Paris yes, but in Annecy we don’t fill from the bottle in front of the client. So he didn’t change my wine. Then I ordered the pizza and he said - Are u sure u like it? I said - yes, if it’s really Italian pizza, sure I would appreciate that. I’m sorry I came by taxi to your Italian restaurant because it was 4.9 in google and it’s not the service I deserve. The pizza arrived not in Italian pastry, very dry, not a lot of cheese. Very far from real Italian one. I was living in Italy and know well what is Italian pizza. Plus on the top of it over roasted. The view was on garbage to enjoy the smell during romantic dinner and wasps around.
Tracey Smith★★★★★
The staff are extremely helpful, we are English with little french speaking and they made us very welcome. Food is absolutely amazing, desserts are large, restaurant is very clean and the outside seating area is a lovely place to sit eat and relax. Thank you to all the staff for being so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
No Si★★★★☆
Amazing location, for being a restaurant in France, the Italian pizza they make is quite good. Prices can be quite expensive but for the experience. Once in a while isn't too bad. Amazing service from the waiters as they would try to communicate with you with the language that you're comfortable with.
Uly Wolters★★★★★
A great Italian trattoria serving traditional Italian dishes. Far from the tourist hustle and bustle of Annecy city center. Modern decor, super friendly service, and a lovely outdoor terrace with a view in warm weather. All the Italian classics (pizza, pasta, tiramisu, etc.) are available here, as well as some more ambitious Italian dishes. Fair prices for good food in a pleasant atmosphere.

Lovely guys, could unfortunately sniff I was English instantly so chatted to me. Pizza was amazing, fresh and very reasonably priced Margarita - great joint.

Ordered a margherita pizza for pickup. It was ready fast and hot. The pizza is about 12 inches round and enough for 2… maybe 3 people. Plenty of cheese but could've had more basil. The crust was thin and crispy on the outside and soft inside - pretty perfect. Cost around 13 euro with an additional topping; so, a good pie for not a lot of money!

Lovely Italian spot with great pizza. They were pretty busy but they set us up just outside to our delight. They only serve pizza for dinner but the flavor was good and the crust was excellent. The tiramisu was a lovely finish.

Essential Tips for Enjoying Pizza in Annecy

Navigating the pizza scene in a city that bridges French and Italian culinary cultures requires a bit of local knowledge. While the quality of pizza in Annecy is generally high, understanding the local dining rhythms and customs will help you avoid long waits or tourist traps. Here are a few expert tips to ensure you get the best possible experience during your visit.

Book ahead during peak season. Annecy is one of France’s most visited cities, and the best pizzerias fill up fast, especially between June and September. If a restaurant accepts reservations, make one for dinner; otherwise, aim to arrive right at opening time (usually 7:00 PM) to secure a table without a lengthy queue.

Look for wood-fired ovens. The hallmark of a great pizza is a blistered, slightly charred crust that can only be achieved in a proper wood-fired or high-temperature stone oven. If you can see the oven from the street or the dining room, it is usually a good sign that the establishment takes their craft seriously.

Embrace the local fusion. While a classic Margherita is a great benchmark for quality, do not leave Annecy without trying a pizza that incorporates local Savoyard ingredients. The combination of gooey Reblochon cheese, potatoes, and onions on a crispy dough is a regional specialty you won’t find anywhere else in the world.

Check the opening hours. Unlike larger metropolitan areas, many restaurants in Annecy close between lunch and dinner service, typically from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Additionally, many independent pizzerias close for one or two days a week, often Sunday or Monday, so always verify hours before making the trek across town.

Consider takeaway for lake views. Many top-tier pizzerias offer takeaway boxes. If you are struggling to get a reservation or simply want to enjoy the sunset, grab a pizza to go and walk down to the Pâquier or the Jardins de l’Europe. Eating a wood-fired pizza on the grass by the lake is a quintessential Annecy experience.

Mind the tourist menus. The closer you are to the Palais de l’Isle or the main canal, the more likely you are to encounter inflated prices for mediocre food. While the ambiance in the Old Town is unbeatable, the best pizzas often require a short five-to-ten-minute walk away from the main tourist arteries.

The beauty of Annecy’s pizza scene lies in its ability to respect tradition while embracing the unique terroir of the French Alps. Whether you find yourself in a cozy, rustic dining room in the Old Town or a modern eatery near the train station, the commitment to quality dough and fresh ingredients is a common thread. Taking the time to explore these culinary gems offers a delicious contrast to the region’s heavy cheese-based classics.

Ultimately, the perfect pizza experience in Annecy is about more than just the food; it is about the atmosphere, the view, and the company. So, after a long day of hiking, cycling around the lake, or exploring the medieval chateau, settle in at one of these top spots and enjoy a slice of la dolce vita in the heart of the French Alps.
