10 Best Tapas Bars Near Isla Mágica

After a day spent screaming on roller coasters, getting soaked on water rides, and navigating the whimsical world of Isla Mágica, your body will likely be running on adrenaline and empty calories. While the theme park offers plenty of quick snacks to keep you moving, the real culinary soul of Seville lies just a short walk away. Stepping outside the gates of the park, you enter a world where the clatter of roller coasters is replaced by the clinking of glasses and the sizzle of garlic prawns.

The area surrounding Isla Mágica, particularly the historic Barrio de Triana and the edges of the Isla de la Cartuja, is a treasure trove of authentic Andalusian hospitality. This is where locals go to escape the tourist traps and enjoy the sacred ritual of "el tapeo"—hopping from bar to bar, sharing small plates, and enjoying a cold Cruzcampo or a glass of Manzanilla sherry. Finding the right spot, however, requires knowing where to look.

Navigating the narrow streets and riverside promenades can be overwhelming if you are tired from a day of walking. You want a place that offers not just great food, but also a welcoming atmosphere where you can rest your feet without feeling rushed. Whether you are craving traditional fried fish, slow-cooked pork cheeks, or a modern twist on a classic tortilla, this guide has you covered.

We have curated a list that balances legendary institutions with hidden gems, all located within a reasonable distance of the theme park. These are not just places to eat; they are places to experience the true essence of Sevillian culture. From standing at the bar with a toothpick in hand to sitting on a sun-drenched terrace, the experience is as important as the food itself.

Quality matters, and in Seville, the standard is exceptionally high. We have focused on establishments known for their fresh ingredients, consistent preparation, and genuine hospitality, ensuring you don’t waste a single meal on a subpar tourist trap. Each recommendation offers a distinct flavor of the city, allowing you to customize your post-park dining adventure based on your mood.

To help you plan your evening, we have organized the top spots below. Consider this your culinary roadmap to the best tapas bars near Isla Mágica, ensuring your day ends on a deliciously high note.

Islamorada restorana: Our waiter, Mr. Williams came to our table and asked “okay, French, English, Spanish” we answered “عربي" and out of all the restaurants we passed by, we picked the one where a Sevillian Lebanese gentleman greeted us. We gladly put aside the menus and simply said we would like fish dishes so please your expertise. He had suggested the sword fish since it is a true Andalusian dish, and I wanted sardines so the next best thing available was anchovies, which were the star dish personally speaking and to my sister as well a lovely meal. Crispy, succulent and excellently prepared. The calamari was a bit too salty for our palates but would kindly suggest less salt next times. There was another dish, two anchovies each on a piece of long crispy bread, also this would go according to different tastes of palates, so personally speaking, I’ve tried it once and I think is enough. In total we had five dishes, grilled shrimps, two different anchovy dishes, calamari and swordfish. Star dish: Fried Anchovies (well prepared, well cleaned and excellently seasoned). Crispy, tasty, well cooked and absolutely deliciosa!!!! Maybe again: Perhaps calamari but just less salt please. Well prepared. The swordfish has a definite Andalusian twist with the sweet succulent green chalapas. Wouldn’t order again: shrimps (unfortunately not cleaned but alright in taste, and not well grilled, please know I am a true fish eater and have tasted all sorts of fish and seafood from the gulf peninsula to the Mediterranean Sea and baltics, both river and sea fish) so my choices will certainly NOT disappoint and ofcourse I will try to be as kind and fair as possible since the waiters Alberto and Williams were at the utmost respect and welcoming so deserves the visit! 🇪🇸🙌🏻💃🏼. FYI, shrimp price wasn’t on the menu, so I’m not sure how much we were charged for it, kindly ask and verify. “May Allah increase your happy travels” - H.H.H 💚

Very warm and welcoming staff which was a great start to the meal. The food was excellent and I could see why it had such a good rating already. Started with the Pareja De Gildas which were delicious little skewers. Next up were the Croquetas De La Abulea which were also excellent. Crunchy, gooey, and perfectly cheesy with jamon. Lastly the tapas version of the Carrillera Iberica En Salsa. Tender meat, tasty sauce. Highly recommend a stop here.

Quiet, warm place serving delicious authentic tapas in generous portions. We went here for dinner and were met with lovely service. Good tinto de verano and house white wines. The tortilla with ruffle is a must try!! The best thing we ordered . The patata bravas were also crispy and light and the pardon pepper were generous. We really enjoyed the pork cheeks, the sauce was rich and very flavourful. Overall an excellent meal, would love to come again.

Lunch at this bar was the perfect way to start our stay in Sevilla! The drinks were excellent, service was quick (thank you Costin!), and the food was outstanding. The restaurant itself is beautiful with a relaxed feel. We shared a tortilla that I'll be dreaming about for months, and the salads were incredibly fresh. If you're visiting Sevilla, make this your first stop to refresh from your travels.

The food was amazing. The best tapas I’ve ever eaten in Spain service was fast and our waiter Daniel was really nice and helpful to get the best out of their delicious and varied selection of food. Quantities are definately not a problem there. Tou can go there eyes closed.

Great food, fresh, tasty, full local, min. tourists. Waiters do not speak english but you can communicate somehow. If you want to enjoy tapas at a local taberna, it will be a great choice. Especially, seafood is amazing…
Nofel Adib★★★★☆
Food was nice in general as loads of options on the menu. Highly recommend the courgettes and pork in whiskey sauce. Customer service was fast and they were very friendly. Only annoying thing was that the prawns was served as a small portion despite the €16 charge!

Wow, hands down one of the best restaurants in Seville. Great prices, high-quality products, and a service that is both warm and professional. I went several times during my stay in Sevilla, and everything we ordered was phenomenal every single time. The place fills up quickly, so try to arrive early this is a testament to its quality, as many locals go there because they know it’s a great spot. 100% recommended.
Martin Sić★★★★★
The waiters were incredibly kind and attentive, creating a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The ambiance was pleasant and comfortable, making it a great place to sit and enjoy a meal. The food was excellent, full of flavor, and served in very generous portions. Everything was spot on and absolutely worth recommending. The four of us ate more than enough and were completely full for 90€, which felt fair for the quality and quantity we received.

We had tapas consisting of shrimp, calamari, fish, chicken liver, cod, olives and goat cheese. We drank sangria. For dessert, we had cheesecake and an almond dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was very fast, and there was no need to wait in line. The atmosphere was beautiful. It was a fantastic Michelin restaurant. I could have dinner there every single day.

The food is so so good, and cheap aswell. The staff friendly, and you don't need to wait so long. We recommend the stew pork and black noodle, so good. Only one problem is restaurant quite small, and the table is suitable for 2, so if you go 3 people or more you need to wait abit. We have 2 adults and 1 child, total just €27. Unbelievable 🥰
AB★★★★★
Great spot with reasonable prices and a cool vibe. It’s very small, so you’ll probably have to wait for a table, but it’s worth it. The mushroom croquettes and roja pesto bruschetta were standout dishes. The sangria is strong, and the tinto de verano is really refreshing. Definitely recommend!
Chloe T★★★☆☆
Tapas bar. You have to go up to the counter to order and get your food and drinks. Staff weren’t too friendly as it was quite busy. The croquettes were nice. However the lasagna and squid noodles were not. Maybe it was my fault for ordering this at a Spanish tapas bar. Anyways, would advise not to get them.

This was one of my favorite places in seville! Went there for lunch and just wow. Cheese and olive was good. Paella was also okay. Slow cooked pork cheek was to die for! Lasagna wasnt as good as others recommend.
Rakesh Sippy★★★★★
Oh my goodness, you won’t believe how amazing this place is! The food is absolutely incredible, and the rustic ambiance is just perfect. It’s a small and fun place, so you can feel right at home. Trust me, don’t think about it, just go! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, they really helped to create the charm of the place. There were plenty of food options to choose from, including some free options. The drinks were also decent, and the overall vibe was just cool and inviting. It can get a bit crowded sometimes, but that’s just part of the charm, you know? We ate a lot and the prices were really reasonable for the amount we ate. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Keep up the great work folks!

During my short stay in Seville I tried to sample different tapas bars and Bar Tipico was definitely the one we liked the most. We ordered Tuna Tartare, Patatas Bravas, Ham Croquettes, Mushroom Risotto, Galician-style octopus with Parmentier potatoes, Sirloin steak in Diazabal sauce, and Garlic Shrimp. Everything was excellent. The service was very good; Alexandra was very friendly. Pleasant atmosphere! Highly recommended!
Irina Guzar★★★★★
Great tapas bar with a fantastic selection of tapas and drinks. We spent 22€ for two including two tapas, tomato soup Salmorejo and two drinks. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lively, and it’s clearly a popular spot. It can get very busy, so don’t be surprised if you have to stand by the bar and wait for a table. Definitely worth it once you’re seated. Just make sure to check the opening hours before you visit. Highly recommended!
Christian Breitkreutz★★★★★
Fantastic tapas bar. Always busy. So book a table or plan some waiting time. Which you can use for an aperitif before heading inside. Once you made it inside you get rewarded with a modern, bright restaurant that offers all the Sevilla classics and some great drinks. Apart from that the young team is very attentive and super friendly. Top spot for dinner! And people watching.
Mike Ramsey★★★★★
Let me start by saying Tipico is amazing. Great food, which is evidenced by the names on the blackboard seating system, with people waiting for a table. However, therein lies the problem. If you have an itinerary with a set time that you want to eat, forget it if you want to eat here. Tipico's success is it's downfall. Once you're seated, everything from the kitchen comes relatively quickly. It's just getting to that point...hence the lower rating on the service. Still worth a visit for the buzz.
Anna Skelding★★★★★
We ate at Bar Tipico during our stay in Triana. Upon arrival they had a fair queuing system, which didn’t take long at all. The staff were very friendly, warm, welcoming and most of all funny! We had three beers, two glasses of wine, Argentinian Steak, Patatas Bravas, Mushroom Risotto, Goats Cheese Croquettes and Mancheo Cheese and the bill only came to €55! Baring in mind the steak was €16 - so an absolute bargain. I highly recommend the Bravas, these are the best I have ever had. The mushroom risotto is incredible and the steak was so delicate and juicy!

Far from the touristy area, this bar was for us the best tapas bar during our two weeks holiday in Spain. Quick service, big selection of tapas with fairly cheap prices and friendly owner. Next time in Seville I'll will surely know where to eat!
Diogo Lopes★★★★★
The restaurant has a very family friendly atmosphere to begin with. The staff is efficient and friendly and the food was exactly what we were expecting: home made. It has the traditional taste we were looking for.
Betsy Bannier★★★☆☆
We went a bit out of our way to dine here based on the reviews. It was OK, but far from our favorite among the 6 or so tapas spots we tried in Seville. The avocado toast was pretty good. The fried cheese roll ups were ok, but much like chain restaurant appetizers in the US. We didn’t care for the large fried roll (first photo), which contained ham that was a bit tough to chew and shredded cheese that maybe was supposed to be melted but was not. Servers were friendly. Wine was good.
Neil Alex★★★★★
What a find... a sort walk from the hotel to a small tree lined square next to a children's play area under some apartments. 5 minutes later tables and chairs appear under the trees and an amazing alfresco dining experience awaits. The food was excellent as was the service. Do try the patatus bravus so good. We will definitely be back...
Mr mason★★★★☆
A very, very, local destination. If you prefer your food to be of good quality, but the destination to be 'no frills,' then this might just be the place for you. There's a good selection of tapas (inside only) a long with plates, to suit most tastes. I'd say we were the only Western folk in there, as it is off the beaten track & away from the tourist centre. The whisky/beef was a little salty, but the portions were generous & we would definitely go back.

Our favorite restaurant in Seville was La Bartola. Delicious tapas, great sangria for less than 3 Euros and very friendly servers. We are still dreaming about the Iberian pork cheek stew over potato purée, the caponata, croquettes and homemade desserts. We ate there 3 times during our visit it is that good!
J Yu★★★★★
Really tasty food here! We ordered a few tapas and everything was great, especially the baby squid, swordfish roll, pig cheek, and beef. Service was fast for the first round, but a bit slower on the second. The place has a great vibe, very lively at night and can get busy. Prices are very reasonable. Overall, a great dinner spot.
Maria★★★★★
We were there last Thursday for dinner and we weren't disappointed. We've eaten a meal without paying a lot of money and the atmosphere was quite nice due to the smilling staff. We've really enjoyed the food. Everything was simply amazing so - in my opinion - you should visit "La Bartola" and you won't regret for no doubt! 🤩
Jane Mathias★★★★★
The best food I had in all of Seville.. stopped by this place for late dinner during my recent trip to Seville and this place did not disappoint. We ordered their roasted lamb with cous cous, garlic shrimp croquetta (that was the croquetta of the day), pork cheek stew with potato purée and the chocolate panna cotta for dessert. We also ordered their sangria and tinto de verano. Every dish we ordered was AMAZING - tasty flavorful well seasoned melt in your mouth meat bursting with flavors. We devoured every bite and it was hard to pick a favorite. Both the lamb and pork dishes were 11/10. Not just the taste but the presentation of every tapa was fantastic. Their drinks were also great. The dessert was to die for. This place is super packed during peak dinner hours and there is barely any room to stand. Since we walked in around 11pm, we got a seat and were well taken care of all thru the night. Also noticed alot of veggie options on the menu which was great. Service was awesome ambience is chic. I am certain I am going to crave their tapas once I am back home. Highly highly recommend this place when in Seville.
Husna★★★★★
We tried several things, the anchovies, cheese, sushi verdura, stuffed zucchini, tataki de salmon, thai red rice as well as eggplant salad. The thai red rice was our least favourite but everything else was delicious. There is always a line up here around dinner time but the staff are amazing and get the line moving quickly. We were impressed with our server as she was gracefully attending to a dozen tables and didn't forget any of our requests.

This is the best tapas bar if you want to experience a truly local and convivial atmosphere. It’s always packed, though. Even though I don’t speak Spanish, other customers helped me out, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The food was delicious, the ambience was great, and I even met a gentleman who unexpectedly paid my bill, as well as the bill of a French couple sitting next to me. I didn’t understand what was happening at first, but if he ever comes across this comment, I would love to thank him properly and get in touch. The charm of Spain I would say.

we had been coming to this place everyday for our 3 days stay in Silvia. food and drinks are cheap and delicious. always packed with people so there were not many seats available, most people stand . Definitely check thus place out if you are around .

A wonderful breakfast experience with an incredible view. We tried several tostadas with different spreads, and every single one was delicious. Simple ingredients done exceptionally well, full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The beautiful scenery made the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for a relaxing and satisfying breakfast.

My husband and I chose this place for our very first tapas experience and OMG it was overwhelming but so much fun😂 Thank you Senor Manuel for being patient with us! He was super friendly and nice. You are the best!!!! We just went up to the bar and ordered with no problem. The serving time was super fast! We were able to grab a seat later on and made friends with people sitting around us. Everything was delicious and so much fun! Highly recommended just for the experience but food was also good. Huevas fritas was our favorite😋
Shun Iketan (Mich)★★★★★
Tapas start at just over 3 euros, which is an amazing price for a location in the heart of a major city like Seville. Plus, the food is delicious. The waitstaff are attentive, and the place is bustling with energy. It’s a tapas bar that left me feeling nothing but satisfied. There are only about four tables on the terrace. It was lucky to get a seat here?

There were cockroaches in the wall. We were celebrating a birthday and they charged us for desert and they did’t even sing happy birthday. They charged us for bread that was stale and dry and we didn’t take a single bite and they refused to take it off the bill for “service.” Only gave us one small basket of bread and charged us 6. Rip off of a restaurant and wouldn’t come back here.

The best restaurant in Sevilla, everything that I had for dinner was next level. Gloria was the nicest and her recommendations were on point

Got in just before the rush around 9:30p and very thankful. Lovely atmosphere, nice staff, and the food was great. Prices very reasonable as well! I recommend getting the torrija for dessert! 🧑‍🍳💋
Adam Kaczmarek★★★★★
I was shocked by how good their food was (all I had you can find on the photos) - simply sensational!! I did order too much as I had expected their portions to be much smaller but in fact they are quite big for tapas / starters! I believe that 2, max 3 plates per person should be more than enough! Had I ordered less, I would have gone for their cheesecake too:-) The service was excellent too - everything happened in a timely manner, very tactful, friendly, always with a smile! And even though, the place is located off Alameda de Hercules, it was packed at 22:00 on Sunday evening when I visited!! Highly recommended! Overall score: 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The espacio eslava it is a restaurant and taperia located close to plaza de San Lorenzo. The atmosphere it is an old style design. It is possible to eat and drinking in the indoor dinner room, in the bar and outdoor. The food side it is nice and well made it. The menu follow the traditional Andalusian and Spanish dishes. The food it is the most positive aspect of whole experience like their great costillas a la miel. Unfortunately the service side it is most downside. As our experience during the dinner I had a slow, careful and unfriendly service. The service based on my experience in the restaurant feels completely impersonal like to be in turistic place. Except for the service side I recommend the espacio eslava for taste their juicy and flavour dishes but I suggest to book early a table.

Outstanding service and food! We came for my brother’s birthday and we were not disappointed. Very enjoyable experience. The honey ribs were fabulous, the pate was outstanding and the octopus melted in your mouth. Our servers were wonderful and everything was well priced.

Delightful tapas restaurant, with extensive menu and attentive staff. Probably best to book as it’s very popular! We enjoyed it so much we came back a second time!

We attended the restaurant to celebrate my wife's anniversary. The atmosphere and food were very good, but even though I had mentioned during the reservation that it was a special occasion, nothing was done to acknowledge it. Unfortunately, the service did not seem to take the occasion into consideration, which was a bit disappointing for what was meant to be a special evening.

Our 2nd time here and is always incredible. The food keeps delivering a great experience to share, full of flavors and beautiful presentation. This place is a must when in Seville. Make reservation and ask the waiter for gluten free option if need.

What a great spot! This restaurant is a decent walk from Real Alcazar and the surrounding plazas where we were staying, but the walk was quite nice. It has a fun atmosphere and wait staff, not centering around any particular type of visitor (local vs. tourist)… this made it feel welcoming and authentic. The wait staff were excellent and friendly, and the food was top quality with a wide variety. Salmon tartare was probably our favorite, but it’s unfair to point out only one dish since they were all amazing. Bonus points for keeping my sunglasses in safe keeping overnight after I forgot them at the restaurant!
Yasir★★☆☆☆
Service was okay. Ambience was quite weird as it felt we were being stared by other customers, perhaps because of our race. Seating was also cramped. A lot of the menu items were missing and there were no mains as they say the kitchen was closed. Bruschetta was the best thing. Salmon tartare okay, tuna taco okay but too much guac. Octopus was weird but was nice and soft. Had to get food elsewhere to take home after
Nicolas Germain★★★★★
Delicious! Amazing! The best restaurant in our 15 days road trip on andalucia. Don't get confused, this review is on the tapas bar of the attached picture: I am defying anyone with proper taste to ever criticize this place. If you are ever tempted to, you have just good for Macdonald and pizza hut. Refined tapas with some an authentic touch, very friendly waiter... Just the perfect experience you are waiting for. This place should be deserve a plain 5 stars. Period.

For my last night in Seville, I thought I would treat myself to something a bit more upmarket, having just had traditional Tapas during my stay. Having had a couple of beers at a small local tapas bar, I headed to La Azores. Service was good and I was quickly seated and my drink order taken. I had the tuna to start which was very tasty, and for the main course at the beef, which was cooked perfectly to my liking although slightly more on the rare side then medium overall the food was excellent, the service was great and a really lovely atmosphere, all for €40 in my eyes was really good value for the standard of dinner.
Daniela Lupsan★★☆☆☆
It was our last dinner in Seville. After the Michelin star at the entrance, we expected to have a fabulous dinner. It wasn't really like that. My husband ordered the beef tenderloin and it came bloody. Without asking us about our preferences, the waiter left the plate on the table and left. We waited several minutes for the person who served us at the table to see our sign. We asked him to prepare the meat more, up to medium. He came back with the meat done to our liking but it was cold, as was the side dish on the plate. Navigating the tapas scene in Seville is an art form, and knowing the local etiquette will drastically improve your evening. While the food is the star, understanding the rhythm of the city will help you blend in and secure a spot at the most popular bars. Here are some essential strategies to keep in mind before you head out from Isla Mágica.

Time Your Visit Wisely
Sevillanos eat late. If you arrive at a tapas bar at 7:00 PM, you will likely be surrounded by tourists and the staff may still be setting up. The prime time for dinner tapas begins around 8:30 PM and peaks at 10:00 PM. If you are hungry immediately after the park closes, grab a light snack and wait for the rush, or go early to secure a table before the locals arrive.

Look for the Chalkboard
The best bars change their menu based on what is fresh at the market that morning. While some have printed menus, the true specialties of the day are often scribbled on a chalkboard behind the bar or on a paper menu taped to the wall. If you see a dish written in Spanish that you don’t recognize, ask the waiter—it is often the freshest and most authentic option available.

Master the Art of the "Media Ración"
Tapas portions can be small, and if you are starving after a long day at the park, ordering one tapa at a time can feel tedious. If you are dining with a group, ask for a "media ración" (half portion) or a "ración" (full portion). This allows you to order a larger plate of a specific dish, like fried anchovies or jamón, to share with the table without having to order multiple individual tapas.

Don’t Linger at the Door
If a bar is busy, it can be tempting to wait by the entrance for a table to open up. In Seville, the culture is often to push gently toward the bar, catch the eye of the bartender, and place your drink order. You can eat standing at the bar or at a tall barrel table. Waiting passively at the door often means you will be ignored; confidence and visibility are key to getting served.

Pair with Local Drinks
While beer and red wine are always safe choices, tapas culture in Seville is deeply tied to specific fortified wines. A glass of cold Manzanilla or Fino sherry pairs perfectly with salty seafood and fried fish. If you prefer something sweeter, try a "tinto de verano" (red wine with lemon soda) or a "mosto" (a sweet, slightly fermented grape juice) for a refreshing non-alcoholic option.

Check for Kitchen Closures
Spanish kitchens often close in the late afternoon, usually between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM. If you leave Isla Mágica right as it closes and head straight to a traditional bar, you might find that only cold tapas, like cheese or cured meat, are available. Plan your ride times accordingly, or choose a bar known for having a non-stop kitchen if you need to eat early.

After a day of adrenaline at Isla Mágica, the transition to the laid-back, culinary rhythm of Seville is the perfect way to unwind. Whether you choose a bustling taverna in Triana or a quiet spot on the Cartuja, you are participating in a tradition that has defined this city for centuries.

The true magic of Seville often isn’t found within the theme park walls, but in the moments shared over a plate of jamón and a cold drink with friends and family. So, take your time, order one more round, and savor the flavors of Andalusia before heading back to your hotel.
