Seville is a city that stays with you long after you have left. The scent of orange blossoms, the echo of flamenco, and the grandeur of its Moorish past create an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in Spain. At the heart of this historic tapestry stands La Giralda, the iconic bell tower of the Seville Cathedral. For many travelers, waking up to a view of this architectural marvel is the ultimate dream.
Choosing the right accommodation is the cornerstone of a memorable trip. The area surrounding La Giralda is the city’s beating heart, placing you within walking distance of the Real Alcázar, the winding streets of Santa Cruz, and the best tapas bars in Andalusia. However, the sheer volume of options can be overwhelming, ranging from converted convents to modern boutique spaces.
Whether you are visiting for a romantic getaway, a cultural deep-dive, or a business trip, your hotel should enhance the experience. Staying near the tower means you trade the noise of modern traffic for the clip-clop of horse carriages and the hum of street musicians. It is about immersion, convenience, and the ability to explore the city on foot.
To help you navigate the options, we have curated a list focusing on quality, location, and unique character. We prioritize properties that offer genuine hospitality, distinct Sevillian aesthetics, and easy access to the main sights. We have considered everything from rooftop pools with cathedral views to intimate patios hidden behind unassuming facades.
The following selections cater to a variety of budgets and travel styles. Some are grand five-star establishments housed in historic palaces, while others are charming boutique hotels that prioritize personalized service. All of them, however, guarantee that you are just a short stroll from the base of La Giralda, allowing you to experience the magic of Seville at dawn before the crowds arrive.
We understand that modern travelers value authenticity just as much as comfort. Therefore, this list highlights properties that respect the city’s architectural heritage while providing the modern amenities you expect. From high-speed Wi-Fi and premium bedding to exceptional concierge services that can book last-minute flamenco shows, these hotels deliver on all fronts.
Below, you will find our definitive guide to the best places to stay near La Giralda, ensuring your visit to Seville is as seamless as it is spectacular.

Haven't stayed here yet. Will do in a couple of weeks. But I know John Fulton was a dear friend of mine, so I KNOW it's an awesome place. Have been here MANY MANY times during the 80's and 90's when it was his art studio. Can't wait to stay there.

Due to a technical issue with booking app, a double reservation for different hotels was made. This is not the hotel's fault of course, but as soon as we reached out to them to explain what happened, they declined refunding the money. This was a reservation made on midnight for the following day as in there was less than a few hours between making the reservation, and letting them know of the error. They of course didn't care and absolutely declined to refund it.
It's a really bad indication when a hotel chooses to treat errors as an opportunity to grab money...and really for a one night stay booked at the last minute. It's not like the hotel had to decline so many other potential guests.
What a shame. I could have chosen this hotel when I return to Seville for a longer stay, had they been more courtieus and decent!

You cannot beat the location of this hotel. Everything you would want to visit in Seville is no more than a 15 minute walk away. It is tucked away in a small beautiful plaza filled with orange trees. Perfect access to the Cathedral and the Real Alcazar make it a great vacation spot. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This was a great addition for the honeymoon!

What an outstanding stay here. The hotel is beautiful, perfect place, the park outside is stunning.
The roof terrace was amazing in our suite and on top.
The food was absolutely amazing. Best from all is the whole team! Everyone is super nice and helpful. Thank u so much for making our stay that perfect. We'll come back as soon as possible

Nice little hotel overlooking a beautiful
plaza. Staff were nice. One negative is No mini refrigerator in room. Another, Not the hotels fault but too many tour groups constantly filling plaza and are annoying. The city of Seville needs to regulate better. At one time there were four different groups in the plaza at the same time surrounding us while trying to enjoy a morning coffee. Still we enjoyed our stay and excellent location.

Apartamento Boutique Vida was a wonderful place to stay in the heart of Seville. The apartment was comfortable and ideally located within walking distance of many of the city's top attractions, excellent restaurants, and shopping areas.
Alejandro was a pleasure to work with throughout our stay. He was always accessible, quick to respond to any questions or requests, and consistently courteous and professional.
Guests should note that communications and check-in assistance are handled through the staff at the Halo Hotel, located just a minute's walk from the apartment. The hotel staff were equally friendly, helpful, and attentive, making the entire experience seamless and enjoyable.
If you're planning a visit to Seville, I highly recommend considering Apartamento Boutique Vida. Its central location makes it an excellent base for exploring the city and immersing yourself in Seville's rich culture, history, and vibrant atmosphere.

A really lovely, friendly hotel. We loved the peaceful square outside, with shady orange trees in flower. The hotel is small and very personal, the staff are very helpful and friendly. Everything is close by and easy to walk to. I loved our room - it was on a corner with two windows and a tiny balcony. There were considerate little touches: a double adaptor in the power point by the bed, with an outlet free for your phone, a little stool in the bathroom, wifi password provided without asking.

Absolutely fabulous hotel. Our room overlooked a lovely street lined with Tapas bars and bodegas. Buskers frequently work in the street and the music drifts up which was lovely. Can be a little noisy if you're a light sleeper but it's usually quiet around 11pm. It's literally right on the square of the cathedral and Giralda Tower. Could not fault the place, friendly and helpful staff, great room and comfy beds. Highly recommend.

We wished to have a cafe on the roof bar to see the Cathedral from up there.
We were not aware the bar opened at 1pm and we were there at 12.45 or something.
Eventhough the waiter already had a bad attitude, i asked him kindly in my best Spanish if we could wait right there these few minutes, enjoying the vista.
His reaction was as if i had asked him to cut off his hand.
He behaved with an ugly attitude and should find himself a job outside of the service industry.
The building inside lookes amazing. We were not staying in the hotel, this review is just about the horrible service in the roof bar of this hotel.

Had a wonderful stay at Halo Boutique Hotel Sevilla. The location is excellent, the room was comfortable and clean, and the atmosphere of the hotel was beautiful and relaxing.
A special thanks to Joaquín Rodón, who was extremely kind, professional, and helpful throughout the stay. He made the experience much more welcoming and enjoyable. His hospitality and attention to guests truly stand out.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seville, and I would be happy to stay here again in the future. 5/5.

Overall, good experience. We had some issues with our shower leaking water all over the floor in our bathroom, so if you stay in Rm 207 please beware that could happen; otherwise the room was great (see pic). The staff were extremely accommodating and welcoming, and the location was first class. It's right in the heart of the Santa Cruz district with that old Spanish flair and a beautiful courtyard right outside it's entrance (see pic). If you go, have breakfast right around the corner to your left as you exit at the courtyard restaurant. Tell Derek (pictured and one of the owners) I say hello.

Fantastic Hotel in a great location!
Joaquín was incredibly helpful and welcoming during our stay with recommendations from somewhere to watch the football, to places for breakfast and helping us find a gym to visit.
Hotel was easy to communicate with via WhatsApp and were able to sort our transfer out form the airport for us, they were very responsive too.
Location was right in heart of the old town about 3 minutes walk from the Real Alcázar and Cathedral, building was a haven to retreat to in the hot July summer, with air con and pool on the roof to take a break in the afternoon.

My partner and I had an excellent stay in the hotel for our holiday. Great views from the room and the roof top terrace. Friendly staff!
And most importantly, super convenient location for all the tourist attractions, plus the old town vibe.
Only small caveat is people can talk quite loudly on the streets so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Really a great hotel with a great service. Rooms, Cleaning, Taxiservice, everything perfect. Very lovely lady at the reception (Long dark hair with glasses) See arranged everything perfect. We booked a standard room but we get the Superieur room with street view. If you a lite sleeper, take some earplugs. Because the whole night people are busy in the street. Cleaning at 4pm....but it's worth it. No sketchy people on the street and felt very safe. Even in the night and small ally's. Also a nice roof terrace with nice bar guy....perfect for a drink in the evening with great view.

Unfortunately, I only stayed 1 night at Soho Boutique Catedral, but I wish I was able to have stayed longer. Rooms are beautifully furnished and modern, and our room had a charming view over the road and Cathedral. The staff were helpful and provided us with some places to visit during our short stay. Breakfast was brilliant with a large range of delicious fresh food.

Great location, perfect for walking everywhere. But it gets noisy at night, lots of shouting and partying. room amenities were lacking. Poor quality toiletries, no bedroom slippers etc.
Also staff isn’t honest. We wanted to book seats for a flamenco show we researched online, and staff lied that this isn’t authentic, and we would be forced to order dinner at this show. The moment he pulled out a flyer about “another flamenco show that is authentic”, we knew it wasn’t so and declined. Stuck to our original plan and it turned out to be amazing!

The entire draw for this hotel is location, which is fantastic
The rooms are basic, ours did not have any decoration on the wall, closets etc and no view
The bed was not comfortable. We did not sleep well.
It was very clean and room service did a great job every day.
There is a public space balcony on the fourth floor which is pleasant and has a limited view
They have a breakfast lounge with free tea and coffee in the morning

Honestly for the price and for 1 or 2 nights this hotel is totally efficient. The rooms aren’t amazing because there are no windows but apart from that I couldn’t complain because the price. Rooms were clean, rooftop balcony was a nice touch and free coffee.. the service was friendly and helpful. Location is as good as it gets.. there is no tv or fridge but like I said for the price can’t really complain! Top for a quick night in Sevilla 🇪🇸

This small hotel is in the most amazing location right near the Alcázar. The staff were friendly and stored our bags after check out. The hotel is only staffed until 7.30pm at night. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Definitely recommend as was a great price too!

On the photo you may see which room we booked (photo from the booking site) and the real photo of the room. A guy on the reception told us that the hotel is full and he can't change the room.
Since there is no window, there is no oxygen in the room. You may use air conditioner, but it will blow right on the beds, which is not good. Extremely noisy.
Be careful with your booking here.
No slippers, no toothpaste. Not that clean sheet (photo).
Yes, location is perfect.

The most wonderful and central place to stay for a 3 day visit! We were lucky enough to have a balcony room on the opposite side to the cathedral. It was still wonderful with gorgeous views of the little alleys and a lovely patio for relaxing in the afternoon sun. Comfortable and lovely bathtub! The rooftop bar was fun but after an initial drink we went exploring the tapas bars. The spa facilities were an added bonus and we loved the convenience of the location - we walked everywhere. Lovely staff who spoke English very well and were helpful regarding ticket bookings etc. Highly recommend.

5-Star Prices, Zero Responsibility. Left Me Without My Property for 3 Months.
We stayed at the EME Catedral Mercer in February. Upon checkout, items I had given to their ilaundry service 4 days previously had not been returned. What followed has been a 3-month saga of shocking incompetence and professional negligence.
The hotel staff managed to ship my luxury clothing (valued at over €600) to a completely random hotel in Paris. After weeks of tracking it down myself, the management team then shipped it from France to a completely wrong address and zip code in Italy. The package is now permanently lost in postal limbo.
Throughout this ordeal, Regional Manager Pablo López Zafra has been defensive, completely lacking empathy, and has officially refused any financial compensation. Head Office has completely ignored multiple letters. For a hotel claiming 5-star standards, their customer service and data handling are a disgrace. I have been forced to file formal complaints with the Andalusia Tourist Board (Junta de Andalucía) and consumer authorities. Avoid this hotel if you expect your property to be safe or your complaints to be treated with basic professional respect.

Unfortunately, our stay was deeply disappointing. One female receptionist made us feel particularly uncomfortable. I cannot say whether her attitude was motivated by racism, but the way she treated us felt dismissive and disrespectful. During check-in, she barely looked at us, appeared extremely impatient, and spoke in an unfriendly, condescending tone. Whenever we later saw her at reception, she looked visibly irritated, as though she might roll her eyes at any moment, which immediately made us feel unwelcome. The other staff members were perfectly fine, so this criticism is specifically about her conduct.
There were also serious problems with the room. The lights frequently would not switch on, yet on some nights they suddenly all came on after we had fallen asleep, waking us up. The room was also unbelievably noisy—it genuinely felt as though we were sleeping in the middle of a public square. Between the malfunctioning lights, constant noise and discourteous reception experience, it was extremely difficult to rest or feel comfortable here.

WORST Rooftop Service and kindness.
Sadly terrible!
I was in Sevilla with two other friends and it is Sunday afternoon. A beautiful day to enjoy a rooftop with drinks and a few tapas.
We decided to enjoy this moment, “in one of the best roof tops”, in Sevilla. ACCORDING TO GOOGLE.
We arrived in the hotel entrance and were advised to reach to the fourth floor, where the bar/rooftop is located.
The hotel is really beautiful and well located. Really charming. Our expectations were really high.
As soon as we reached the top floor and reached the bar, no one sat us down, so we decided to choose ourselves.
The bar was quite and only a table or two were taken. So, there was quite no work. Standards and great environment of service was highly expected, especially from a person that worked and has more than 10 years of experience in customer service.
One of the waiters didn’t say a word and just cleaned the table since it was DIRTY.
He left us there and went to take order to another table. No menu or whatsoever was given to us, I order for us to choose what we would like to have.
After 10 minutes aprox. I reached the bar myself to ask for a menu and ask for a few infos since no one has given any to me by that time.
The bartender responded to it but did not showed interested.
I returned to my table with the menus and as soon as I sat down, another group of people was sat in the table beside us. The waiter immediately sat them down with menu and QR codes.
This just showed how badly the service was being taken care of and how unprepared the staff are to work in “the best rooftop of Sevilla”.
When the waiter finally came to take our order, I advised him how my feelings were and why I would not stay.
So we left!
Dias de Coleção★☆☆☆☆
Very Disappointing Experience — Poor Service
I visited this rooftop in Sevilla with two friends, expecting a great experience, especially since it’s advertised as one of the best in the city. Unfortunately, it turned out to be very disappointing.
The hotel is beautiful and the location is excellent, which makes the lack of service even harder to understand.
When we arrived at the rooftop, no one welcomed us or showed us to a table, so we had to sit by ourselves. The place wasn’t busy at all, with only a few tables occupied.
A waiter came over, didn’t greet us, and simply cleaned our table because it was dirty. After that, he left without offering menus or any kind of attention.
We waited for quite some time without being served. One of my friends had to go to the bar to ask for menus, and even then, the response was indifferent.
What really stood out was that shortly after, another group arrived and was immediately welcomed, seated, and given menus and proper service — something that was never offered to us.
The difference in treatment was very noticeable and disappointing.
When the waiter finally approached us, we explained the situation and decided to leave, as the experience had already been ruined.
It’s a beautiful place, but unfortunately, the service does not match the reputation at all.

Well situated in the centre of the old town of Seville. Really comfortable bed and room very clean but small. Bathroom and shower cubicle unbelievably small. I'm only 5' 2" and quite slim and I struggled in the shower. Be careful of the dates when visiting as the prices escalate if there are any fetes.

Great location, hospitality staff, the girl showed us everything to see on the map and even called to confirmed the bike rental shop hours for us. Baggage storage service after checkout. (complimentary)
Poor WiFi, smelly bathroom, shower cube is too small to turn around.
I would consider trying other places if visited next time.
B Estudio★☆☆☆☆
We found it so disappointing that we left upon arriving and finding the place was a depressing shadow of their make-up online image. It would be fair to say that the fine line between seducing and deceiving has been wiped out in this case.
To begin with: it is a hostel, not a hotel, contrary to what was advertised on most travel portals (TripAdvisor, Atrápalo, etc), even its Facebook page and street-signs. We were denied a refund for our money, despite explaining we were leaving without occupying the room due to dismay about their marketing overpromise.
The place itself has a depressing feel to it. Also, if you carry heavy luggage, you´d better be fit, since the stairs are quite steep and there´s no elevator. Thankfully though, the higher up you can be allocated is the third floor. Our room was quite noisy and small, having barely any space to move around the narrow and cheap twin beds. Worse was finding that there´s no window to the outside, just one into the corridor outside, which means that you have to choose between having natural light or having privacy :0 If you go for the “luxury” of having privacy in your room, then you will still have to remain quiet... because the thin walls between rooms let the sound through like paper.
Summing up: skip this hole. Seville´s city center is quite big and has plenty of excellent places to stay. You don´t need to fall for location by the cathedral at all cost. I think that places with dishonest advertising practices like this should not be in the market.

1st star for localisation. 2nd for staff.
That would be enough. My room called economy was at the ground floor. From room you were entering to patio and the door was not completely ok. There were chinks through which noises and light was coming to the room. Bathroom was a bit run down. One big bed was two connected small which were splitting apart. It was cold in the night - AC was not good enough.
There is no parking around so you can forget to get closer to the place by car.

Fab hotel in an excellent location! Right by the Cathedral and walking distance to all main attractions. Staff were lovely. Would definitely stay again! The rooms were clean and comfortable.
The only downside was the aircon. The rooms/hotel seemed to be set to a certain temperature and couldn't be adjusted during our January visit, which was disappointing as we found it far too hot during the night. Couldn't sleep with the window open either as could hear the church bells regularly very early morning.

As a Eurostars member, I am disappointed to say that this was the worst hotel experience I have had.
The room had both ants and cockroaches. When I reported the issue, the staff attempted to address it by applying bleach, but the strong odor remained in the room and affected my breathing.
The food was also disappointing, with very limited variety and little flavor throughout my stay.
I have never stayed in a 4-star hotel with such conditions. The staff were courteous and genuinely tried to help whenever possible, but some of the issues were beyond their control and reflected broader problems with the property itself.
Unfortunately, this experience fell far below the standards I would expect from both a 4-star hotel and the Eurostars brand.

Just brilliant, and I had the excellent misfortune of a power outage that resulted in me being moved after my first night - only over the road. I was happy with the original booking (room 8), right next to the pool, but the upgrade had me living the actual dream. I've never encountered an apartment where the lift opens directly into my room. Air con was fantastic, views of the cathedral, and all the facilities inside were perfect. It was spotless. I shall now return to my peasant life with lofty dreams of my time spent at Lukanda. I had the third floor and despite its location, I heard nothing, just myself enjoying *luxury*. Highly recommended for the swift resolution in giving me my new base!

I discovered Hotel Simon in an old travel guide. What a surprise! You can’t get a better location, with the cathedral and palace within just a few yards. An authentic, charming hotel with a beautifully traditional interior. The room was quiet, comfortable and spacious. We both had some of the best nights sleep of our lives! The bathroom was very beautiful (please don’t ever modernise it). Our stay was made even better by the reception and housekeeping staff, who were friendly, professional and very kind. If we were to return to Seville, we would definitely stay here again.

Thank you so much for such a kind hearted staff ! It is rare to find an establishment that is focused on people, not on money.
The hotel is good with a great central location. Authentic Andalusian atmosphere.
We definitely recommend staying here.

Very nice hotel .... Morocco Spanish feel to the building . Very clean and fresh towels every day . Reception desk very nice and helpful. A very nice bar straight across the road from the hotel..... Perfect .
Hotel within walking distance of all the main attractions. Nice restaurants nearby. The hotel should be 3 star but is only a 1 for some reason . If you want a hotel with a bit of atmosphere this is the one.

This place was great and centrally located- a minute or two walk to the cathedral and everything else. There's even a coin-op laundry around the corner. Breakfast buffet was good and everyone was friendly. They had power outage in the middle of the night which lasted for probably close to an hour while we were there. Other than that, they had everything that i was looking for in a place other than location-hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner, soap, hand soap.
Tips for Choosing the Perfect Hotel Near La Giralda
Selecting a hotel in a historic city center requires a bit of insider knowledge. The romantic image of a cobblestone street can sometimes clash with practical realities like accessibility or noise. To ensure your stay is comfortable and stress-free, consider the following expert recommendations tailored to the specific geography of Seville’s old town.
Book Well in Advance for Spring and Autumn
Seville is famous for its intense summer heat, making spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) the peak tourist seasons. During Semana Santa (Holy Week) and the Feria de Abril, the city is packed to capacity. Hotels within walking distance of La Giralda sell out months in advance. If your travel dates coincide with these festivals, secure your room at least six months ahead to avoid inflated prices or limited availability.
Understand the Pedestrian Zone Logistics
The streets immediately surrounding La Giralda are largely pedestrianized or restricted to local traffic. This is wonderful for walking, but difficult for taxis and rental cars. If you are arriving by car, verify with your hotel whether they have a dedicated drop-off point or a partnership with a nearby parking garage. Walking the last 200 meters with your luggage over cobblestones is part of the charm, but you should be prepared for it.
Look for a Rooftop Terrace
The skyline of Seville is dominated by the Cathedral and the Giralda. A hotel with a rooftop terrace or a plunge pool offers a priceless amenity: the view. After a long day of sightseeing, there is nothing quite like watching the sunset illuminate the tower with a glass of Manzanilla in hand. This feature often justifies a slightly higher room rate and provides a quiet escape from the bustling streets below.
Consider Soundproofing
The historic center is lively, and with liveliness comes noise. The sound of delivery trucks early in the morning, late-night revelers, or the constant chatter from nearby tapas bars can disturb light sleepers. When reading reviews, pay specific attention to comments regarding "soundproofing" or "street noise." Many renovated historic buildings have invested heavily in double-glazed windows, but some traditional houses have not. If you are a light sleeper, request an interior-facing room.
Prioritize Hotels with a "Patio"
Seville’s architecture is designed to combat the heat. The traditional Andalusian patio—an interior courtyard often filled with plants, fountains, and shade—is the perfect place to cool down. Hotels that have preserved these spaces offer a tranquil sanctuary from the harsh midday sun. A stay in a hotel with a beautiful patio provides an authentic cultural experience that goes beyond just a place to sleep.
Finding a hotel near La Giralda is about more than just a bed; it is about securing a base that enhances your connection to the city. By focusing on properties that offer historical charm alongside modern comfort, you ensure that every moment of your trip, from breakfast to bedtime, is steeped in the unique atmosphere of Seville. The convenience of stepping out of your lobby and immediately finding yourself in the shadow of history is an experience that defines a trip to Andalusia.
Ultimately, the best hotel for you is the one that matches your travel rhythm. Whether you choose a lavish palace with a spa or a minimalist boutique room with a view, staying near La Giralda places you at the center of it all. Take the time to review the options, consider what amenities matter most to you, and prepare for an unforgettable stay in one of Spain’s most enchanting cities.
