12 Best Coffee Shops Near Parque de María Luisa

Finding a quiet moment in Seville often means trading the sound of flamenco heels on cobblestone for the rustle of leaves and the splash of fountains. The Parque de María Luisa is the city’s green lung, a sprawling oasis of Moorish tile work, shaded promenades, and tropical botanical gardens that feels a world away from the bustling commercial center.

Yet, even the most dedicated sun-seeker or history buff needs a reset. Whether you have spent the morning rowing a boat in the Plaza de España or wandering through the Museo de Artes y Costumbres Populares, the Andalusian heat demands a retreat into the cool embrace of a local café.

Seville’s coffee culture has evolved rapidly in recent years. While the traditional "café con leche" served at a marble-topped bar remains a sacred ritual, a new wave of specialty roasters and artisan bakeries has taken root in the neighborhoods surrounding the park.

The area stretching from the edge of El Prado de San Sebastián to the leafy avenues of Heliópolis and El Porvenir offers a diverse range of caffeine experiences. You can find everything from minimalist Scandinavian-inspired interiors to century-old pastry institutions that have remained unchanged for decades.

Knowing where to go saves you from the tourist traps that serve burnt espresso at inflated prices. A great coffee break here is not just about the caffeine; it is about the atmosphere, the quality of the milk, and the skill of the barista pulling the shot.

To help you navigate the local scene, we have walked the perimeter of the park to sample the best brews, pastries, and atmospheres. The following selections are based on consistency, bean quality, and their proximity to the main gates of the park.

Whether you are looking for a quick takeaway to enjoy on a bench under the magnolia trees or a leisurely brunch spot to rest your feet, this curated list offers the very best options within a short stroll of the greenery.

Such a good cafe, highly recommended. Ended up going here 4-6 times over 3 days because their coffee is SO GOOD! Lovely area to catch up, have a drink and meet new people as well. The staff was kind enough to share some exotic funky beans they had and it was experimental and so unique ♥️

One of the best specialty coffee shops I’ve ever visited. The quality of the beans is exceptional, and you can truly tell how much knowledge and care the team puts into every cup. The baristas are incredibly skilled, and even a simple espresso is made with such precision and attention to detail that you can really taste the quality of the coffee. What I especially love about MUY COFFEE is their deep understanding and appreciation of specialty coffee. Every visit feels like a chance to experience coffee at its best. I honestly found myself looking forward to waking up every morning because I knew I was going to start my day here. MUY COFFEE became one of the highlights of my time in Seville, and I’m so grateful I found this place. Highly recommended for anyone who truly loves great coffee. 한국인 분들 그냥 묻고 따지지 말고 이쪽으로 오세요 세비야를 통틀어서 스페인 전체에서 여기가 제일 맛있는 거 같애요. 산미있는 에스프레소 ..최고

My favorite coffee shop in the area. It has a relaxed, laid-back vibe, a friendly owner and team, and genuinely delicious coffee. The space is small, but it’s been used really well, with a casual, thoughtful setup. They also play great music, which adds to the atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable, and they even sell their own coffee beans.

Went twice during my quick stay. Had a batch brew that was dialed in—delicate with floral notes and a some fruity vibes! Came back for a cappuccino and it was delicious. They take their coffee seriously and combined with the great vibes and friendly service I would definitely recommend this. It is an authentic specialty coffee shop that anyone into coffee would appreciate.

Awesome coffeeshop! Had a great V60, and a Flat white. The owners were super nice, and very friendly! Made steamed milk for our daughter who really liked it as well. Would very much recommend if you're into speciality coffee.

I've had coffee from Syra in Girona and Barcelona and this one in Sevilla did not disappoint. It was the same great service and great tasting coffee. My go to place while here.
Ashley Cutshall★★★★★
We had the best experience here. The coffee was super quality and the conversation with the barista even better! Gracias!!
Damian Guevara★★★★★
We were lucky to found by coincidence Syra coffee in our stay in Sevilla. My girlfriend and I are very passionate about speciality coffee and to find Luis, behind the counter, was a nice surprise. We had a profound conversation where we could feel how passionate he is about speciality coffee. Originally we were there looking for a coffee, we tried the batch and a triple chocolate cookie - it was so tasty! After the nice chat with him we also took home one of the nice coffees from Ethiopia which Luis recommended. Atmosphere, even if limited seating, breathes of peace & tranquility! PS: If you prefer more type of pumpkin spice latte style… this place also has it, and the description & image looks so inviting! Truly recommended!!
Ghassan Shamseddine★★★★★
Cool place with a cool barista. The coffee is nice and the quality of the food/dessert is very good as well. We had a cookie, carrot cake and a croissant. All good. The place has barely a space for 4 people to stand/sit and finish their coffee.
Umut TÜREMEN★☆☆☆☆
I am not sure who gave those five stars. I drank one of the worst coffees in my life and paid 4 Euros. The store has only two chairs that doesn’t allow you to lean your back and when there are more than five people inside, it feels like a crowded bus.

This place is truly amazing. As a coffee and Arabic pastry lover, my family brought me here as a surprise — right in the heart of Seville. I have to say, I absolutely loved it: they offer a great variety of sweets, the service is warm and friendly, and both the space and location make the experience even more special. If you’re looking to try something unique and authentic, I totally recommend it! 🌟

Looking for an independent coffee shop in Seville whilst on our walk there aren’t actually that many coffee shops. Googled and came across here, what a little gem of a find! Perfect cold coffee made to perfection - ingredients even weighed out! Only a couple of seats inside but I think many city people use it to have coffee on the go.
DC★★★★★
Stylish little coffee shop with fun décor and a relaxed feel. The setup is serious, with quality equipment behind the bar and a friendly barista who clearly knows what they’re doing. I had a double espresso for €3 which came with stunning crema and a very balanced flavour. A great quick stop for proper coffee in Seville. I’ll definitely return
Jayr the explorer★★★★★
Love their coffee.. offered filtered and espresso coffee beans.. went twice to grab their delicious latte.. they roast their own beans too… downside is not much seating area…
Laura Viana-Gardner★★★★★
I have tried a Cold Coconut Matcha and an Oat Matcha with oat milk and vanilla syrup. Both so creamy and absolutely DELICIOUS! It is clear the matcha is high quality and the woman that served me here was so meticulous in crafting the coffees and matchas, putting so much effort and thought into them. Couldn’t ask for much more from a coffee shop 😍 - you can also buy matcha power, coffee beans and much more separately!
Roya Shahrabi★★★★★
We grabbed a coffee with friends yesterday while walking through the touristic streets of Seville and decided to try this place. The barista was very professional, with his own special method of preparing coffee, and he was such a nice person. The coffee was excellent — as were the cookies, the drinks, and the decoration. Everything was really nice and pleasant.

Stopped by for an iced coffee and a croissant and both were absolutely delicious! There are even flavors for the coffee, I got an iced pistachio latte 😋. Overall, this is a super cute coffee shop in the heart of Sevilla and the owner was very nice.

Good coffee shop. They didn’t have croissants that morning unfortunately. And they served the coffee in a to go cup although I was drinking it at premise.
Mun Kew Leong★★★★★
We've been trying every specialty coffee place we've walked by in Seville that smells good. This place smelt great, has the interesting beans and delivered the great taste we've been looking for. I had an espresso macchiato with Nicaraguan beans and my wife had a decaf flat white with Colombian beans. Good flavors and length on the decaf. The macchiato was excellent with great acidity and spiciness and a strong body. Definitely coming back!
林家慧(Chia Huei)★★★★★
The first time we came to this café, was a lot of people waiting in line and it seemed not enough seats, so we left. However, the awesome smell of coffee made us want to come back again, we must at least try once, no? We did! And it didn’t let us down. The cappuccino and latte were awesome and with enough caffeine :p (some café in Sevilla barely put enough coffee inside) , the cookies were also tasty and not too sweet. It seemed only had the owner himself to attend the clients, we were lucky to came a bit earlier to avoid the crowds. The general experience was nice, a bit pricey but not not affordable. Highly recommended!
Omar Karmustaji★★★★★
A great café with excellent coffee roasted in-house. Their pastries are delicious—especially the croissant—and their cortado is outstanding. Highly recommended!

This coffee shop was on my radar being so highly rated but because of its limited open timings it was a struggle to get coffee but it sure paid off when I managed to try the coffee. Nestled on the streets beside the setas you can sit on a bench, bask in the sun and try this complex, deep flavoured that somehow wasn't bitter even without any sweetener ( I usually have coffee with sweetener). Top coffee experiences in Spain for me.
Kim Mendoza★★★★☆
Little coffee shop with lots of character! You can see in the details and interiors of the shop. Excellent service as well. The barista was very helpful and warm when we asked about the beans and items in the menu. We also enjoyed the coffee. Tried both iced latte Regina and espresso tonic which were both flavorful. I would’ve given it 5 stars if there were pastries. But overall, a must try!!

Fantastic coffee from a beautiful building. Latin music playing with a lovely bench seat to the front where you can watch the world go by. The lady serving was super friendly too! Would go again.

If there any more stars, I’d give them! Fantastic service and a great hidden gem, that if you didn’t see people walk around with the cups, you wouldn’t know it’s there. We went back every day! Service was brilliant and great English speaking staff! Thanks again

Very nice speciality coffee, cozy place and perfect service. I come here quite often to enjoy the drinks as much as a conversation with Mouad (the barista)!

Recommended to myself and my partner by our tattoo artist (shout out Carmen @ Haus of Tattoo), and so worth it! It’s a cute little spot with only 2 chairs, but every time we’ve been, we’ve been able to sit and chat with each other and with Rebecca behind the bar. They have bags of beans you can buy and they’ll grind them up for you if you like. Excellent, kind service. Not sure if anyone else besides Rebecca works there but she has quickly become a highlight of our time in Sevilla. Highly recommend 🙂
Peter M. H.★★★☆☆
So hot: can't touch this. - The place varies quite a bit in quality or: Consistency is not found due to a volatility in professionalism. As always, I order the Cappuchino (3€ , normal size, Jan 2026) for a reasonable price. Food quality: One time the coffee is well balanced and the flavor is pretty good but with the typical Coffee-sweetness of many small roasters. The other day the milk is so hot that you can't touch the paper cup - and it is undrinkable hot. Sorry, but this place can't be recommended. The Armosphere is rated 2 because there is a busy road in front and inside no where to sit. Thus: not a place to sit quietly and enjoy spending a relaxed time. Overall: Next please.

Great coffee stop just in the side alley. The quality of the coffee drinks are first tier. It is a nice atmosphere to just sit and enjoy the coffee. Not many seats so you may have to wait.

One of my favorite coffees in Seville for sure. It’s a small place with a very cozy and lovely atmosphere. The coffee was delicious, and the decoration was beautiful as well. The fact that it’s run by one person makes it even more special and charming. Perfect spot for a coffee break. I would definitely come back when I visit Seville again ☕️

Beautiful little coffee shop hidden around a corner. The coffee was delicious, the barista kind, and the atmosphere more than pleasant. Clearly the owner loves their craft and you can tell through taste, time, and popularity. Highly recommend!!!

This coffee was at most acceptable however, I personally will not return. I ordered a large Cappuchino for 3,80 € (Jan. 2026) - easily a rather elevated price but one notices that this place get frequented by tourist who look for "something special" and don't mind paying higher prices. However, the Coffee tasted quite watery like flavoured brown water with good temperatured milk foam. Nothing more and nothing less.....there are many more places in Sevilla with better coffee and a better value for money.
Vancy★★★★★
The cappuccino was flavorful and full-bodied. It’s a tiny cafe, mainly focused on to-go orders. Since it’s sometimes not easy to find great coffee places in Seville, this spot is a real gem. Anyone who truly loves really good coffee should definitely visit this place!
James Maurice★★★★★
If you love your independent coffee shops that do coffee well then come here. Love to try different coffee shops wherever I visit, but after one visit here, I didnt need go elsewhere. Superb coffee and great service. Get your caffeine fix here!

Great strong coffee! Got the iced latte. No flavors available though
Kiki Leahy★★★☆☆
Similar experience to other reviews- for the price, the quality was not there. The coffee I was served was over extracted and watery. For the price and specialty vibe, I would have expected higher quality tuning of the beans from the barista. Fine if you don’t really care about coffee…

Excellent specialty coffee in the heart of Seville. The cortado was perfectly balanced. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, and a great place to start the day before exploring the city. Highly recommended!

If the coffee is good, the coffee is good. And here the coffee is good. From an experienced coffee consumer, I enjoyed my coffee here very much. I’ve drank coffee from all over the world. The milk here nicely frothed. Taste is very good. Order to your taste preferences. Big or small, which milk, how many shots. Whatever suits you. They also have many different kinds of pastries, cookies and cakes. I have not tried them yet, but they all look great. Also the woman who was working was very kind, and helpful. Great service!

Slightly slow service, but the quality of the matcha made it worth the wait. It was a vibrant green, smooth, and made without sweeteners. We also heard the coffee is excellent.

LATE it is a coffee bar located not far away by alameda de hercules. The location it is tiny, fashionable and nice. The interior it is designed followed the minimalistic and freshly new yorker coffee bar style. The coffee it is well made it and one of the best tried in Sevilla. The service side sadly it is the least convincing part based on my experience. I can describe the service that I experienced like a little bit unfriendly and détachée. The Late’s it is a nice coffee bar but although If the service side was not satisfied I consider the LATE’s coffee bar a good place where to do a breakfast or a quick coffee break.
Christian Breitkreutz★★★★★
A cool coffee shop serving sandwiches and pastries, with solid coffee to match. It also works well as a spot to get some work done. The vibe is very hip and youthful, with a mix of locals and tourists. Staff felt a bit moody at times - though it might just be part of the place’s character.

Good coffee places ! Recommend! WIFI 🛜 which is very rare in Spain in restaurants/ cafes . I love the cafe the carrot 🥕 cake was dry . The coffee is lovely
Anna Yanaeva★★★★★
As a coffee lover, checked out dozens of places around Sevilla and this is by far the best. It checks all the boxes: coffee is amazing, smooth and creamy. Food is great for a satisfying breakfast/brunch (jamon sandwich is to die for, avocado&feta is fresh and a great combo with fried almonds, chocolate cookie is not overly sweet and very flavorful). Last but not least: service is very friendly and efficient. It is a fairly small place, but I never had a problem finding a spot. Tables are cleaned in between guests (which is not always the case on other places). 10/10.

We’re in Seville for 3 nights and came across Café Nina — such a lovely find! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was fresh and hot. I tried an empanada for the first time and instantly fell in love with the flaky, delicious texture. The Nina Latte was also a cute twist with a hint of banana flavour. Definitely a spot I’ll return to! Here are my pics 📸

How to Choose Your Ideal Coffee Spot Near the Park

Navigating the area around the park can be overwhelming, especially if you are tired and thirsty. The difference between a good experience and a great one often comes down to timing, location, and knowing what to order. Here are a few practical insights to help you make the right choice based on your specific needs.

Plan around the heat and siesta hours.
Seville operates on a different clock. Many traditional cafés close between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM for the siesta, while specialty coffee shops often remain open continuously to cater to tourists and remote workers. If you need a coffee in the late afternoon, check the opening hours of the modern specialty spots rather than walking to a traditional bar that may have locked its doors.

Understand the difference between "specialty" and "traditional."
If you prefer a bright, fruity, or acidic espresso similar to what you might find in Melbourne or Berlin, look for names on this list that mention specialty or artisan roasting. If you prefer the classic Spanish profile—dark, bold, and roasted with a hint of bitterness meant to be paired with milk—opt for the historic cafeterías. Mixing these up can lead to disappointment if you expect a light roast at a traditional bar.

Don’t skip the pastries, but order them fresh.
Many of the best coffee shops near the park are just as famous for their baking as their brewing. Seville is known for its "tostas" (toasted bread with tomato or jamón) and artisan croissants. If you visit in the morning, ask if the pastries are baked in-house. A high-quality "palmera" or a slice of "tarta de queso" can elevate a simple coffee into a memorable breakfast.

Consider the proximity to specific park gates.
The Parque de María Luisa is large. Walking from the Plaza de España side to the Heliópolis side can take 20 minutes in the sun. Decide which part of the park you want to explore next. If you are heading to the Archaeology Museum, stick to the southern side of the park. If you are walking back toward the Cathedral, choose a spot near the Prado de San Sebastián or Puerta de Jerez to minimize your walking distance.

Look for air conditioning if you plan to linger.
Not all local cafés have strong air conditioning, especially the older, more traditional ones that rely on ceiling fans and open doors. If you are visiting in July or August and need to cool down, prioritize the newer, modern establishments listed here. They often have better climate control and are more comfortable for sitting with a laptop or a book for an hour or two.

The area surrounding the park is a microcosm of what makes Seville so special: it respects its history while embracing modern craftsmanship. Taking the time to step away from the monuments to enjoy a slow coffee allows you to experience the city like a local, not just a visitor passing through.

A perfectly pulled shot or a silky flat white can be the fuel you need to continue your exploration of the park’s hidden grottos and tiled benches. Whichever spot you choose from this list, you are guaranteed to be just moments away from the shade and serenity of one of Spain’s most beautiful public spaces.
