Absolutely breathtaking and truly one of the most impressive places I have ever visited. The Sagrada Família is even more spectacular from the inside, with the incredible architecture, colours and natural light creating a unique atmosphere. I highly recommend booking your tickets well in advance, especially if you are visiting Barcelona during a busy season. Choosing a guided tour is also definitely worth it. Our guide explained the history, symbolism and architectural details in such an interesting and understandable way, which made the whole experience much more meaningful. There are so many small details inside that you could easily miss without someone explaining them. A must-see when visiting Barcelona — an unforgettable experience and a true masterpiece by Antoni Gaudí. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Visiting the Sagrada Família in Barcelona was an experience I’ll never forget. I knew it was big, I knew it was famous – but seeing it in real life is something completely different. This building feels overdimensional, almost unreal. The fact that construction started around 1900 and still isn’t finished today makes it even more impressive. Every corner, every figure, every tiny detail shows how much work, art, and vision went into this masterpiece. You can literally feel that generations of people have contributed to it. Even though I’m not Christian, this place hit me emotionally. The building has a certain spirit, a presence that’s hard to describe. The towers, the shapes, the sculptures, the facades – everything is so different yet perfectly connected. You just stand there, look up, and think: Wow. How can a human even imagine something like this? Gaudí, the architects, the builders, the artists – I don’t know how many people were involved, but the result is simply stunning. We didn’t go inside this time because it was too crowded, but even from the outside the Sagrada Família is already a full experience. I can only imagine how it looks inside – the colors, the windows, the light, the atmosphere. Next time, I hope it’s less busy so we can finally go in. But honestly, even just seeing it from the outside was already one of the highlights of the whole trip. I’ll upload a few videos and photos, because this building deserves to be seen. For me: Five stars, no doubt.

The Sagrada Família is one of those places that everyone should see at least once in their lifetime. The exterior is already extraordinary, with an incredible amount of detail and a scale that is difficult to fully appreciate until you stand in front of it. However, I strongly recommend going inside as well. The interior is completely different from the exterior, with soaring columns, colorful light, and a unique atmosphere that makes the experience even more impressive. Seeing only the outside would be a missed opportunity. The combination of architecture, light, and space inside makes the visit unforgettable. If you are in Barcelona, this is absolutely one of the places you should prioritize.
Mike N★★★★★
The Sagrada Família is absolutely incredible and one of those places you really have to see in person to appreciate. Pictures simply don't do it justice. The amount of detail, thought and history behind this building is unbelievable. What impressed us just as much as the architecture was the story behind it. Construction began more than 140 years ago, and Gaudí knew he would never live to see his vision completed. He left behind plans, drawings and models so future generations could continue the work, and more than a century later they are still working toward completing his vision. Another amazing part of the story is that the construction has traditionally been privately funded rather than relying on government funding. Today, money from visitors and ticket sales helps support the continuing work on the basilica. It makes visiting feel like you're actually contributing in a small way to the completion of something that has been generations in the making. The inside is breathtaking, the architecture is unlike anything else we've ever seen, and knowing the history makes the experience even more impressive. If you're in Barcelona, don't just take pictures from outside. Go buy a ticket, go inside and experience it. You'll see something incredible and help contribute to finishing Gaudí's masterpiece at the same time.

Been living in this city for 3 years and got the chance to visit this year only. Get the audioguide and walk through Sagrada. Beautiful experience, the history and meanings thoroughly explained. In the end, don’t forget to enter the museum downstairs. Overall, beautiful experience. A tip: buy the tickets from the official app, it costed around 26-28 euros.

Park Güell is one of the must-visit attractions in Barcelona. The combination of Gaudí's unique architecture, colorful mosaics, and beautiful gardens makes it a truly unforgettable place. The views over the city are breathtaking, and every corner of the park offers something unique to admire. It's a wonderful place to walk, take photos, and appreciate the creativity and beauty of Gaudí's work. We recommend booking your tickets in advance and arriving early to avoid the crowds and enjoy the park at a more relaxed pace. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Barcelona
Laura Edwards★★★★★
Important to note - the included audio guide is slightly confusing. Download the Park Guell app and open the map. The locations with stars have an audio component to them. The locations with circles are text only. We wasted 10-15 minutes trying to figure this out and had to ask a park employee for help. This is especially confusing because each location has a play button for the slideshow, but it's easy to think that play button is for the audioguide since there is nothing explaining this in the app or emails. I didn't quite know what to expect when we arrived here. Photos do not do this place justice, it is hard to encapsulate what this is. I would describe it as an urban hiking area. My advice : - bring water (more than you think) -prepare to stay longer than you anticipate (we were here for 4.5hrs!) - sunscreen and take breaks in shade where you can. - go slow, stop, look up, look out, every step has a new view and something different to see. - understand seeing every inch of this place is impossible so begin planning your next Barcelona visit now!

Great attraction & stunning views of Barcelona from inside Musicians playing music inside the park, which was a bonus. Clean toilets. Careful as can be a steep walk up from the metro station, but equally there is a bus that goes up to the entrance, so do take that OR a taxi up. Booked tickets online, book in advance.

Park Güell was a great experience! We spent over 2hrs walking through it. There were excellent views of the City. We added the Museum House as an add on. It was interesting to see where Gaudi lived. The washrooms outside the museum house were extremely clean and there were no lines. All in all, it was worth the entrance fee.

This park is great entertainment with families, friends, and couples. Beautiful view of Barcelona. Perfect place for those who love nature, gardens, or flowers. Some attractions are not included in the entrance ticket, if you wish to see those, I recommend booking the ticket separately.

I felt like stepping into another world by walking into Casa Milà. It’s designed by Antoni Gaudi and every room has its own character, from the flowing shapes and colorful details to the clever use of natural light. We took our time exploring the apartments, courtyards, and attic, and it was fascinating to see how far ahead of its time the design was. Even if you’re not an architecture enthusiast, it’s easy to appreciate the creativity behind every corner. My favourite part was the rooftop; the famous chimney sculptures and panoramic views over Barcelona were beautiful and there were plenty of photo opportunities. The audio guide was helpful and explained the history and design very carefully and clearly. If you’re planning to visit, booking your tickets in advance is a good idea since it gets quite busy, especially during the summer.
Kresimir Damjanovic★★★★★
Visiting Casa Milà (La Pedrera) in Barcelona was an exceptional architectural experience that fully justifies its reputation as one of Antoni Gaudí's greatest masterpieces. The entire visit was exceptionally well organized, and the audio guide provided through headphones offered insightful explanations of the building's history, design principles, and architectural innovations, making the experience both educational and highly engaging. One of the most impressive aspects of Casa Milà is its remarkable state of preservation. Every space—from the residential apartments and common areas to the attic and the iconic rooftop—has been meticulously maintained, allowing visitors to experience the building much as Gaudí intended. The quality of the restoration and conservation reflects a deep respect for architectural heritage. What makes the visit truly memorable is the opportunity to experience Gaudí's architecture firsthand. The organic forms, masterful use of natural light, structural ingenuity, and fluid spatial organization create an atmosphere that cannot be fully appreciated through photographs or books alone. The rooftop, with its sculptural chimneys and panoramic views over Barcelona, is an unforgettable architectural experience and undoubtedly one of the highlights of the visit. The only minor drawback is the ticket price, which is relatively high. However, considering the global significance of Gaudí's work, the outstanding level of preservation, and the overall quality of the visitor experience, the admission fee is understandable and ultimately feels justified. Casa Milà is not only an architectural landmark but also an outstanding example of how cultural heritage can be preserved and presented to the public. I left with an even greater appreciation for Gaudí's vision and craftsmanship, convinced that this is a place every architect and architecture enthusiast should experience at least once in their lifetime.

Beautiful views from the terrace. An inside into Gaudi’s inspiration. Easy guided tour with headphones provided with the entrance. Not very crowded and about 1 - 1:45 hours, so it was good for my 7 year old. He loved it!

CASA MILA also known as La Pedrera, is a stunning architectural masterpiece in Barcelona that truly captivates visitors. The night tour inside the building offers a unique perspective on its intricate design and history, revealing details that are often missed during the day. The atmosphere during the evening is magical, with the soft lighting casting beautiful shadows on the unique stone facade. Walking through the building, you can appreciate Gaudí's innovative use of space and natural forms, which create a sense of harmony with the environment. The highlight of the tour is undoubtedly the rooftop, where the iconic chimneys resemble warriors standing guard over the city. The panoramic views of Barcelona against the night sky are breathtaking. Ending the experience with a glass of cava adds a delightful touch, allowing you to toast to the beauty of Gaudí’s work. It’s a perfect way to unwind after an enlightening tour. Overall, the night tour at Casa Milà is a must-do for anyone looking to immerse themselves in Barcelona's rich architectural heritage.

Casa Mila is a must do in Barcelona. The outside view from the street is stunning and unique. However, the true details are inside the building and worth the entry fee. We used one of Go City pass options to visit and bypass the ticket queue. I recommend buying your entry ticket in advance. The highlights of this site for us was the detail attic and the amazing roof top.

Absolutely stunning. Beyond the genius and beauty of Gaudi’s work, the museum offers an interactive, enriching experience with elements that helped us step into the mind and life of the architect himself. It is impeccably maintained, the instructions and path were easy to understand, and the Gold ticket offered AR elements and entry to the Gaudi Cube (created in collaboration with Refik Anadol) and Gaudi’s private apartment. Cannot recommend this enough!
Oleg D★★★★★
There are already thousands of reviews explaining how extraordinary Casa Batlló is, and yes — it is breathtaking, completely unique, and unlike anything else in the world. So instead, I want to share a few practical recommendations. If you really want to experience and understand the house, I strongly recommend buying the Gold ticket. In my opinion, this is the best and most useful option they offer. You receive an iPad with an audio guide and an amazing augmented reality experience: as you point the camera around the rooms, you can see how the house looked when people actually lived there. It completely changes the experience and helps bring the house to life. The Gold ticket also gives access to rooms not included with the standard ticket, and it offers useful flexibility if you need to cancel or change your visit time once. One more recommendation: take the professional photo on the balcony. Unlike many tourist attractions where these photos feel overpriced and unnecessary, this one is genuinely worth it. The photo is taken with a proper camera, ready within minutes, the quality is excellent, and you receive both the printed photo and the option to download it digitally. It is actually a beautiful souvenir. For anyone who truly wants to explore Casa Batlló rather than simply walk through it, the Gold ticket is absolutely the way to go.
Munthir Chater★★★★☆
The building is immediately eye-catching on the outside with stunning visuals when traversing the inside - the design of certain rooms during early morning provides for a beautiful spectacle of light and the rooftop view is a good complement as well. Staff is very friendly and although there was a long line even for the morning slot (8:30), getting in did not take long. The only gripe is ticket costs are rather high.
Phong Nguyen Thanh★★★★★
If you could only pick one attraction to truly understand Gaudí's genius, it would have to be Casa Batlló. Every detail here radiates extraordinary creativity: a facade that shimmers like dragon scales, a roof that curves like the spine of a mythical creature, and bone-like balconies that evoke mysterious masks. There's not a single rigid straight line anywhere — everything flows and curves as if the building itself is breathing. The interior is even more impressive. The central light well is tiled in blue ceramic that shifts from deep indigo at the top to soft pale blue near the bottom — stunning to look at, and brilliantly engineered for even natural light distribution. Every detail, from door handles to staircases to the ventilation system, was meticulously designed by Gaudí following organic principles inspired by nature. The audio guide/VR experience during the visit is also well worth it, offering deeper insight into Gaudí's architectural philosophy rather than just a surface-level walkthrough. In short, Casa Batlló isn't just a beautiful house — it's a living work of art where architecture, nature, and imagination merge into one. Visiting Barcelona without stopping here would be a real shame!
Lisa Mayer★★★★★
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just as Magical the Second Time! We loved Magical Nights at Casa Batlló so much that we simply had to return—and somehow, it was every bit as enchanting the second time. There is something truly unforgettable about experiencing Gaudí’s masterpiece in the evening and then enjoying live music under the Barcelona sky. The atmosphere is intimate, romantic, and unlike anything else we’ve experienced in the city. From the beautiful architecture and immersive visit to sipping cava and enjoying the rooftop concert, the entire evening feels incredibly special. What says more than anything is that, with so many wonderful things to see and do in Barcelona, we chose to spend another evening here. Magical Nights isn’t just a visit to Casa Batlló—it’s an experience and a memory. An absolute highlight of Barcelona and one we would happily return to again. ❤️

You should check the Barcelona City Council website for the times and days the light and music show will be on. Up to and including 27 September 2026, the show will be Wednesdays to Sundays, 9.30-10.30pm. A fantastic show that anyone can go see. We stood close to the fountain (about 8 meters away from the edge) and could easily see. The first fifteen minutes to half hour was great, but after that it kind of gets repetitive. There are free toilets and a public water fountain for refilling your water bottle. With the water fountain in front of you, looking up the hill, the toilets and water fountain are on the right. The water fountain is just a few meters from the end of the top/bottom of the stairs, along the wall - see the photo. Avoid the people walking around trying to sell you water. More than likely they've just refilled empty water bottles they've collected.

Beautiful fountain display to experience while you're in Barcelona. We visited at the end of June when the sunset was about 9.30pm. Even though online it says the fountain display is 9-10pm, it didn't actually start until about 9.20pm. The display continued for about 20 mins. We arrived there about 8.50pm and already there were hundreds and hundreds of people gathered around the whole area. There can sometimes be other street entertainment and local sellers with small goods while you're waiting. The whole street leading up to the fountain have mini water features which look truly beautiful after sunset.
Majkelo★★★☆☆
A beautiful, breathtaking show. Crowds of tourists gather around the fountain as early as 30 minutes before the performance starts, so it is worth arriving well in advance. Unfortunately, the music was played quite softly; the sound of the chatting crowd was more audible than the musical backing track. I would definitely work on the acoustics.

Wonderful night show in here. Have been here with my Best friend and we totally enjoyed the night. First of all we went around the hill. Than we had took a look at bcn88 show. It was a pleasant show. And straight after the sunset the magic fountain had started its show. It's a lovely place. I definitely recommend you to visit it here with your partner/bf/gf! I will do next time when in Barcelona. There is a lot of people (had been here on Sunday). So gentlemen if you wanna approach some beauties just go ahead!
Anna Edele★★★★★
We were able to see it the week we were in Barcelona and it was amazing! We sat on the steps to the left for the first half hour then as people started to leave we moved right up close to the fountain! It was truly magical. Bring some snacks or a light picnic and something to sit on if it is hot during the day as the steps will be hot. We stopped at KFC (🫠) on the way because we didn't plan well. Definitely arrive at least a half hour to an hour before the show or you will have to stand most of the time. When the music stops the show is NOT over! There are three sections to the show. Such a beautiful area and a great way to end our trip. The show was only going on Wednesday - Sunday this summer (2026) due to the water shortage.

It's a small but cute house at the main entrance of Park Guell. It's it located near the famous salamander mosaic statue and dragon stairway. It is very highly recommended that you book tickets to the park in advance and come during the morning as it's less crowded. There's great views from inside and has great Gaudi presence!

This is my third time coming here. It is a beautiful home on the outside and has a very interesting story. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because we waited in line for 20-30 minutes just to get in. The lines were so long and it was expensive to get into the entire park guell. 20 years ago the entire park was free to walk through then about 10 years ago it was still worth the small fee to enter the park. Now we just spent $63 euros to get into the park for 2 adults and 2 children (not including the gaudi house an additional $24 euros). The park is beautiful and deserves to be used and seen. It is just frustrating the large amount of tour groups that are there. The entire city has become a tourist trap.
Loo Yeo★★★★☆
Casa del Guarda shows that Park Güell was designed at the level of operation as well as image. Built in 1901-1903 as the porter’s residence, it stood beside the lodge with its waiting room and telephone, turning the entrance into a staffed point of control and reception. Gaudí gave that working edge of the site real architectural force: rough stone walls, trencadís, and a roof formed with Catalan vaulting make a small service house carry the public face of the project. Inside, the plan was much plainer, with kitchen-dining and service rooms below, four small bedrooms above, and attic space at the top. The house brings the whole ambition of Park Güell into focus: even the people managing entry were placed inside the architecture of prestige.
Antonio Donadoni★★★★★
This house, which formerly served as a guardhouse, fits harmoniously into the park's architecture. Although it differs greatly from the whimsical curves of Gaudí's creations, it fits in very well with the park's style.
Nikola Iliev★★☆☆☆
The park is nice. But waiting to enter here is not. Only the view from the window is worth waiting for. It’s like a Hobbit house inside narrow staircase and painted walls not much to see or do. Skip it if you to wait long to enter.

Such a beautiful park and it's for free! You can rent a boat on the small pond together or just walk around and look at the plants and architechture. It's clean and there are enough spots to sit in the shadow. The botanic garden inside the building is not really worth it because there isn't much to see and there are no toilets in the park (at least I couldn't find them). But that's not really something to complain about. I'd definitely recommend going there, especially since there are many restaurants and other sights around.

The Parc de la Ciutadella is one of the most beautiful and relaxing green spaces in Barcelona. It’s the perfect escape from the busy streets, with wide walking paths, lakes, palm trees, and plenty of open space to unwind. The highlight of the park is the stunning Cascada Monumental, a grand fountain decorated with sculptures and waterfalls that makes for an incredible photo spot. You can also rent a rowboat on the lake or simply enjoy the lively atmosphere created by street musicians and locals relaxing in the park. Whether you're looking for a peaceful stroll or a place to take a break, it's one of the city's best outdoor spots.

Found it by accident after some amazing gelato! This park is massive and has an amazing statue and landmark right near the north entrance! Absolutely stunning including the fountain. There were serval walking paths, a large Wholly mammoth statue, a government building(I think) , a zoo in the southern portion of the park, and more biking paths. Just a wonderful surprise stroll through the park at stunning landmarks while enjoying a gelato with our kids. I do recommend if your in the area just pop in, you might get lost and just stroll for an hour or two.

On La Rambla, at Pla de l’Os, Miró placed a Barcelona welcome in the path of the crowd. Inaugurated on 23 December 1976, the mosaic was designed by him and realised with Joan Gardy Artigas, not as gallery art lowered to street level but as a work meant to be crossed. Its location by the old Boqueria gate was precise: this was a historic point of entry, and Miró conceived the pavement as the city’s greeting to people coming in from the seafront. That gives the circle and primary-colour signs a civic job as well as an artistic one. Thousands tread across it every day, often without noticing. Since the 2017 attack on La Rambla, this patch of pavement has also absorbed mourning, remembrance, and the city’s public language of peace.
Retrato★★★★☆
Cool work of art hidden in plain sight. Go check it out in La Rambla and look for Miro's signature.
No quiero dar mi nombre★★★★☆
This is a large piece of art in the middle of the street! Made by Miró and possibly best seen from above. It's really hard to appreciate because there is always someone walking over, but at the same time it feels like people walking over it are a whole part of the artpiece.
Mabel★★★★☆
You probably have not experience Barcelona if you have not come to La Rambla. This place is bustling with people and shops and life. With the recent attack, I was a little worried about the safety as well as of pickpockets but I felt very safe there. There were policemen and police vehicles along the main street to keep watch. Just be watchful and aware and enjoy the bustling street!
Luciano Carvalho★★★★☆
The Mosaic de Joan Miró, located in the bustling La Rambla in Barcelona, is a striking piece of public art embedded into the pavement. Seeing it in person was both a delight and a moment of reflection amidst the vibrant energy of the area. The mosaic’s bold colors—reds, yellows, blues, and blacks—form simple yet captivating shapes, showcasing Miró’s signature abstract style. What struck me most was how seamlessly the mosaic integrates into the everyday life of the city, with locals and tourists walking over it, sometimes oblivious to its significance. It felt like a hidden gem in plain sight, connecting the artistic heritage of Barcelona with its lively, modern spirit.

The park itself is beautiful, spacious and very green, and the location offers some lovely views over Barcelona. Unfortunately, that is where the positives ended for us. We arrived very early, at around 10:45 on a weekday during the first week of September, using the funicular. The rides and attractions felt very dated, both in concept and in the condition of the installations, and surprisingly, several of them did not even open until around midday. Queues for some attractions were extremely long. Hotel 666, for example, was scheduled to open at 13:00. We started waiting at 12:10 and finally entered at around 13:40. After such a long wait, the experience itself lasted approximately 8-10 minutes. It was reasonably entertaining, ok no something special, but everything was entirely in Spanish, so those of us who do not speak the language could not understand what was happening, which significantly reduced the enjoyment. The heat was also extremely difficult to deal with, especially combined with the long queues and waiting times. We also visited the church next to the park, Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor , which is a very nice building! We paid 8,00 € per person to take the lift up! Only to use the elevator…The worse, when it was time to leave, after approx 15’, we called the lift from the top to go back down, it took approximately 17-20 minutes just to arrive…. The gentleman in the elevator did not speak English and unfortunately was not particularly welcoming. The view from the top was beautiful, but Barcelona has many other places where you can enjoy spectacular views without this level of waiting and additional expense. Overall, during our six days in Barcelona, this was probably the only activity that we found genuinely disappointing. It was expensive, tiring and, for us, simply not worth the time or the money. The funicular ride up and down and the panoramic views were the highlights, but considering the overall cost and experience, I personally would not choose to visit again. Unfortunately, no value for money for us.

We enjoyed our visit to the park! Most of the rides are geared toward children, which is great if you’re bringing your kids! I would say probably not super exciting for older teenagers, either. We didn’t understand that before coming, but hopefully this will help others know. We still had a good time on the rides we did ride, though (Ferris wheel, roller coaster, VR ride). The views were beautiful, with lots of different vantage points. The park is fairly clean and well-kept, with good signage and paths. There are plenty of food options and several bathrooms. There weren’t any places that we found to refill water bottles, so we ended up purchasing water from the vending machines, as it was a hot day!

Tibidabo is a mountain with a church and an amusement park sitting on top of it with great views of the whole Barcelona. It is pretty easy to get here, as there is a direct bus to the funicular which goes all the way to Tibidabo, the bus itself is free. There is also plenty of parking space for cars. The access to the viewpoint at the church is free via stairs or you can pay for the elevator. You can also buy separate tickets for 4 different park attractions, such as the ferris wheel, the carousel etc to view the city from a higher point. Lastly, there are multiple toilets on site which are free to use. Overall, if you are visiting Barcelona, I definitely recommend to come to this place.

This was such a fun visit! The views are phenomenal looking back into the city and the park is so cute. It was really fun to ride the historic rides. You can purchase eace of these for 4 euro a ride or a day pass.
Boris Jozipović★★★★★
Tibidabo is a great place for a day trip from Barcelona if you want to escape the crowds for a while. The amusement park is fun for both children and adults, making you feel like a kid again. Right next to the park is the beautiful Temple of the Sacred Heart, and the views over Barcelona are absolutely breathtaking. It's definitely worth visiting if you're looking for a different experience beyond the city's busy streets.

A bit of a hidden gem in my opinion. Monumental can be admired from the outside, but there are plenty of discoveries to make inside, including a small museum of corrida, a chapel, and stables. Tiles adorning the building are outstanding. From the inside of the arena, a large clock decorated with tiles also can be seen. The entry ticket was cheap. It’s important to note that there aren’t any clear signs signaling the tour direction, probably because Monumental is still being used as a venue for events. Unfortunately the souvenir shop was closed and it looked like it has been closed for some time now.

First time in a Bull ring so it was interesting to see a historic landmark. The low entry price makes it worth a visit but don’t expect to see much other than what was once the central entertainment attraction of a bygone era.

La Monumental is Barcelona's famous historic bullring and one of the city's most distinctive architectural landmarks. Opened in 1914, it became the principal venue for bullfighting in Barcelona for nearly a century. The building's striking design blends red brick construction with colorful ceramic tiles and decorative domes inspired by Moorish architecture. Although bullfighting is no longer held in Catalonia, La Monumental remains an important historic landmark and a reminder of a significant chapter in the city's cultural history.

Definitely bring some water its a bit of an uphill walk. They have plenty of small shops and some food places as well. The views are spectacular, you get a good view of the city. They normally have different events during the summer so keep an eye out. I went for the Croqueta one and 2 croquetas where 5 euros and they had several flavors and it was free entry.

This cute place has got all sorts of backgrounds. Beautiful place with little shops, make sure you visit them all and buy all sorts of souvenirs. Be it jewellery, antique shops, restaurants, museum, a presentation video show as well to show the history of place, everything was on point. We got so many cute bracelets and fridge magnets. You just have to buy the tickets from the entrance door or you can book online too. No fuss. A must go-to place while in barcelona. Went to this little restaurant inside too. Oh my good the food was amazinggggg and the service extra ordinary. Cannot remember the restaurant name but it was right in front of the museum (or right next to the cloth shop).

Pablo espanyol is a really lovely small village that represents Spain in such a unique way! The views are awesome and I recommend taking photos of it since you will want to go there again. I personally went and watched a traditional Hispanic Flamenco 💃 but you could also see other shows, drink coffee and eat whilst enjoying the villages views

Built for the 1929 International Exposition, Poble Espanyol remains one of Barcelona’s most enjoyable cultural attractions. This open-air architectural museum recreates villages, plazas, and streets from across Spain, allowing visitors to explore regional styles without leaving the city. Wandering through its narrow lanes feels both relaxed and immersive, with beautiful details around every corner, from Andalusian courtyards to Galician stone houses. The atmosphere is especially pleasant in the late afternoon, when the warm Mediterranean light adds character to the colorful facades and artisan workshops. Many local craftspeople still work on-site, giving the village an authentic touch that goes beyond a simple tourist attraction. Small cafés and terraces make it easy to slow down and enjoy the surroundings, while the elevated location near Montjuïc offers a quieter pace compared to central Barcelona. Poble Espanyol is also an excellent place for photography, thanks to its varied architecture, textured streets, and constantly changing light. Whether visiting for culture, food, live events, or simply a peaceful stroll, it continues to offer a charming and surprisingly relaxing experience in 2026.

This place is gorgeous and I would recommend an entire day to spend here. It’s a must for every tourist, it’s basically a small town with beautiful architecture and they have restaurants and bar to enjoy the day there as well as shops. Make sure to get there before 6pm because shops close and then at that point you’re walking around an empty small town. The ticket is good for a few days to take advantage of everything there is.

An absolutely wonderful experience! One of the things I love most about Barcelona is how beautifully the old and the modern coexist, and Torre Glòries is a perfect example of this. It is a true architectural gem in the city. From above, the contrast is even more impressive: on one side you can see the legendary Sagrada Família, while on the other stands this striking piece of contemporary architecture. Inside, the clean, minimal and modern design creates a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The exhibition on the lower level is excellent and somehow puts you into a calm, almost zen state before heading up to the viewpoint. And then, of course, there is the view. It is simply breathtaking. We visited around sunset, and seeing Barcelona from above, with its incredible landmarks and the changing colours of the sky, was unforgettable. The interactive activity at the top is also a lovely addition, especially for younger children. We enjoyed the whole experience so much that we ended up staying far longer than we had originally planned. A special mention must go to the staff. Everyone we met was extremely polite, helpful, knowledgeable and genuinely willing to assist. I was also particularly happy to see that admission for children is free. It is a wonderful initiative that makes an experience like this more accessible to families and gives parents the opportunity to share something truly special with their children. We absolutely loved our visit and I would highly recommend Mirador Torre Glòries.

A beautiful modern tower with a unique shape. At the very top is a platform with 360-degree views. A high-speed elevator will take you to the observation deck in just a few seconds. From there, on a good day, you can see all of Barcelona. Thanks to the large panoramic windows, the views are magnificent. This is a must-see.

It was absolutely incredible 🤩 I was completely blown away. The view was spectacular, and even the introduction in the basement was beautifully done. The installations, the atmosphere, the sound… I loved every part of it 😍✨ And then the Hive Mind Cloud walking experience was so much fun ☁️😄 Such a unique and memorable experience from beginning to end. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars all the way. I’ll definitely be back as soon as I have family or friends visiting again. Highly recommended! 🙌😊

Really enjoyed the views, stood and waited on the sun going down. And it getting dark so the city was lite up. Could do with a coffee shop or bar at the top with some tables and chairs. Loosing money here. I was there for over two hours to get the photos I wanted. At the start the imersive experience is good very factual, and unusual.

Visiting the Mirador Torre Glòries was one of the highlights of our time in Barcelona. The panoramic 360-degree views over the city are spectacular, offering a unique perspective of famous landmarks, the coastline, and the surrounding mountains. The experience begins with an interesting multimedia exhibition before taking the elevator to the observation deck, making the visit much more than just a viewpoint. The modern architecture of the tower itself is impressive, and the artistic installations add a creative touch to the experience. We spent plenty of time taking photos and simply enjoying the incredible scenery. Whether you're visiting during the day or around sunset, Mirador Torre Glòries is well worth adding to your Barcelona itinerary. Highly recommended for photographers, architecture enthusiasts, and anyone wanting to see the city from a different perspective.

It’s truly great. You can see a lot of pigeons playing with children and landing on them, as well as a man feeding them, which makes everything even more interesting. There are huge sculptures at the entrance and next to the fountain, and a lot of greenery that creates an even nicer atmosphere. It’s worth a visit, although I don’t think you can really spend more than half an hour here, as there isn’t an overwhelming amount to see.

Renovations are going on everywhere, making it pretty unpleasant to explore the plaza. It didn’t feel very safe either, with limited space to walk around and construction happening all over.

There are various options to get to the castle. We took the funicular which if you buy your tickets on line are 34 euros for two return tickets. It’s a nice view. The castle is around 12 Euro per person and is nice to visit with extraordinary views from the roof. The history of the castle is explained in a painfully long visitor exhibition. If you think of the history of the site it’s worth visiting. I found the visitor centre too long and apart from the courtyard, roof, tower (you can’t go inside) and outer sections there isn’t anything else. Still worth it.

To me it's a major attraction in Barcelona and we absolutely loved it. Back in 1640 it was a military fortress. Great for walking and exploring, nice view of the city and the sea. There is small bar in there for drinks and some food. The top of the castle can be quite windy, so be mindful of what you wear.

My visit to Montjuïc Castle was truly unforgettable. Perched high on Montjuïc Hill, the castle has a rich history and offers some of the most spectacular panoramic views in all of Barcelona. What stood out the most was the view over the harbor and the Mediterranean Sea — we went just before sunset, and the light hitting the water was something else entirely. The contrast between the deep blue water and the sprawling city below is just breathtaking, one of those views you have to see to believe. If you're in Barcelona and want to see the city from a whole new perspective, don't skip this one. Highly recommend going in the late afternoon! 🏰🇪🇸

Castell de Montjuïc is a beautiful place to visit, especially because of the views over Barcelona and the sea. I really enjoyed walking around the outside of the castle and taking in the scenery. The location makes it a great spot for photos, and there is a nice, peaceful atmosphere compared to the busy city center. I would definitely recommend coming here if you want to see Barcelona from a different perspective.

We enjoyed the views from the castle which justified the adult entrance fee (kids under 16 go free which is good as there's not much for them to do!)would be great if the towers and dungeon etc were open to explore. Had a lovely hour there and learnt a few things about the Spanish Civil War.

Absolutely gorgeous. Make the time to go up to the tower - you won't regret it! Unless you have claustrophobia or a severe stamina condition, in which case you might regret it. That being said, there are stops along the way and you don't have to go all the way up. Anyways, this was my favorite view of Barcelona so far by a mile. P.S.: If you see the church cat, say hi to her and tell her that I love her very much. My friend and I decided to call her Rosebud - she's very friendly and loves to cuddle.

I love gargoyles, so I too a lot of pics of them. We didn't have chance to go inside. Beautiful church outside. Right down the way is the memorial for the cemetery for the church and the fallen soldiers of Catalan.

Located right by Plaça del Pi, the Basílica de Santa Maria del Pi is a stunning 14th-15th century Catholic church. The Gothic architecture is impressive, and the interior is just as captivating. A highlight for me was the opportunity (available during specific hours) to climb a very tall and narrow staircase to the top. The panoramic view of Barcelona from there is absolutely breathtaking!
Loo Yeo★★★★★
Santa Maria del Pi began as a 10th-century chapel beyond Barcelona’s old walls, in the scrubby ground and shallow wetlands west of the Roman core, and grew into one of the city’s principal parishes. The Gothic church seen today took shape from 1319 and was consecrated in 1453: a broad single nave, side chapels set between the buttresses, and the octagonal bell tower lifting above the dense streets of the quarter. In front stands the pine that keeps the name alive. Inside lies a fuller civic history: guild altars, tomb slabs, the cult of Sant Josep Oriol, and the Plat del Pobre Vergonyant, which supported those too ashamed to beg. The church was damaged in 1714, gutted in 1936, and rebuilt, but its place in Barcelona endured.

Visited for the Luminesence evening. This was lovely in the setting of this church, with classical music and projection onto the alter. I would advise that the narration with the show is only in Spanish, so felt we missed some important info about the history and show, but it didn't spoil the evening. We purchased Silver zone seating, and to be honest this was a good choice as it would not have made a lot of difference to our viewing in other zones as the projection covers the church completely. Thank you for a lovely evening ☺️

Tips for Visiting Attractions Near Sagrada Família

Navigating a new city can be overwhelming, especially when you are trying to maximize a limited amount of vacation time. To ensure your visit to the Sagrada Família neighborhood is as smooth and enjoyable as possible, I have compiled a few essential strategies based on local knowledge and common travel pitfalls. By following these practical tips, you can save money, avoid long lines, and experience the area like a seasoned traveler rather than a rushed tourist.

  1. Book the Basilica First: The time slot you secure for the Sagrada Família will dictate your entire day. Book the earliest slot available (usually 9:00 AM) to avoid the massive crowds inside and ensure you have the rest of the day free to explore the surrounding attractions without feeling rushed.
  2. Wear Comfortable Shoes: The Eixample district is built on a grid system with long, straight streets. While distances look short on a map, walking from the basilica to places like the Hospital de Sant Pau or up Avinguda Gaudí can add up. Ditch the fashion sneakers for cushioned walking shoes.
  3. Utilize the Metro for the "Short" Trips: While walking is great, the Barcelona Metro is incredibly efficient. If you are feeling tired after touring the basilica, the L2 (purple line) and L5 (blue line) stops at Sagrada Família can whisk you to the city center in under ten minutes, saving your energy for exploring rather than commuting.
  4. Plan Meals Away from the Main Entrance: Restaurants directly facing the basilica often charge a premium for the view and generally serve lower-quality, tourist-centric food. Walk five minutes down Carrer de Provença or Carrer de Mallorca to find authentic tapas bars and cafes where locals actually eat.
  5. Look Up and Down: The area around the basilica is a showcase of Modernisme, but not all of it is at eye level. When walking, look up to spot intricate wrought-iron balconies and sculptural details on residential buildings. You can also find hidden gardens and quiet courtyards by simply peeking through open doorways.

Exploring the area around the Sagrada Família offers a deeper understanding of Barcelona’s architectural evolution and local culture. While the basilica is the crown jewel, the surrounding streets hold their own magic, offering quieter moments of reflection and discovery away from the main tourist hubs.

By balancing your time between the iconic views of Gaudí and the authentic atmosphere of the Eixample neighborhood, you will leave with a more complete picture of what makes Barcelona so special. Take your time, enjoy a long lunch, and let the city reveal itself to you one block at a time.
