Sitges has long been the crown jewel of the Catalan coast, offering a rare blend of Mediterranean glamour, rich cultural heritage, and a vibrant culinary scene. Unlike the sprawling resorts found further down the coast, this seaside town retains an intimate, bohemian charm that draws visitors back year after year. The allure of its seventeen sandy beaches is undeniable, but the experience is elevated significantly when paired with the right accommodation.
Choosing a beachfront or sea-view hotel here is not just about convenience; it is about fully immersing yourself in the rhythm of the Mediterranean. Waking up to the sound of gentle waves and having the soft sand just steps from your lobby transforms a simple vacation into a restorative retreat. Whether you are seeking a romantic getaway, a family holiday, or a solo escape, the proximity to the water dictates the pace of your days.
The local hospitality scene is remarkably diverse, ranging from grand historic properties that have hosted artists and intellectuals to sleek, modern boutique hotels designed for contemporary luxury. Many of the best options are clustered along the Passeig Maritim, while others hide in the narrow, whitewashed streets of the old town, offering stunning rooftop views. Understanding the subtle differences between these neighborhoods is key to finding your perfect match.
Staying near the beach in Sitges also places you within walking distance of the town’s main attractions. The iconic Church of Sant Bartomeu & Santa Tecla, the bustling shopping streets, and the world-class restaurants are all easily accessible from the waterfront. You sacrifice nothing in terms of culture when you prioritize a sea view; in fact, you gain a front-row seat to the town’s most beautiful asset.
For travelers concerned about logistics, the beachfront hotels here are surprisingly accessible. The town is a short 35-minute train ride from Barcelona, and most coastal hotels offer easy access to taxis and public transport. This means you can spend your mornings lounging on the sand and your afternoons exploring the cosmopolitan energy of the Catalan capital without the hassle of moving your luggage.
However, not all beach hotels are created equal. Some offer direct private access to the sand, while others are separated by the promenade or located on cliff sides with panoramic, elevated views. It is important to distinguish between a true beachfront property and one that simply offers a "sea view" from a distance, as this can significantly impact your daily routine and overall satisfaction.
To help you navigate the options, we have curated a list of properties that consistently deliver exceptional experiences, high-quality service, and unbeatable locations. Below, you will find the best places to stay for a sun-drenched holiday in this Mediterranean paradise.

Fantastic service and plenty of amenities. The hotel is very clean, although the style is a bit older, but it offers a beautiful view. The highlight was definitely the brunch, which is included in the price until 1 p.m. They even serve sparkling wine, and the selection is very diverse. The location is excellent as well. We will definitely come back. It was a fantastic stay.

The hotel is conveniently located at the beach. The check-in and check-out processes are seamless. The room was super clean, and the amenities are great. A delicious breakfast was provided daily. Most importantly, the staff members are so friendly and kind that you will never regret staying at this hotel.

I booked a budget room, and found it very co sortable. Decent sized bed, and the rate included breakfast/brunch which is available 8am-1pm. I love that it’s available so late. No more excuse to miss breakfast.

Calipolis is a perfect base for exploring Sitges while also enjoying the beach. The location is excellent, close enough to walk into the town centre, but still calm and relaxing right by the sea.
Our room was clean, spacious and had a lovely balcony. We were even upgraded to a sea-view room, which was a wonderful surprise. The lobby and restaurant areas are also very attractive, with a clean and modern design.
The only small improvement I would suggest would be refreshing some of the details in the main restaurant on the first floor, as parts of it feel slightly dated. Overall, however, we had a great stay and would highly recommend Calipolis to anyone looking to explore Sitges and enjoy the beach.

My wife and I just completed a late August 2026 stay at this fine hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the views from our 9th floor balcony were breathtaking. The staff is friendly and professional. This is an excellent place to stay in Sitges.

A very nice large hotel facing me of the main beaches next to the historical downtown area. Really friendly and collaborative staff, spacious rooms, many with sea view. The service was really complete, and the food we had was good, especially considering it was an off site business meeting over three days.

Loved this hotel. Excellent location, safe and beautiful seaside view room. Large space, well lit bathroom and spacious balcony to relax and listen to the sea and waves. I do admit the pool is small but I spent most of my time on the beach.

Amazing location with a generously sized rooms. Staff was friendly and provided beach towels and umbrellas which was very very helpful. The hotel was clean and well maintained throughout. Would certainly stay again!

As a Family of 6 adults we really enjoyed our stay here in late May 2026. The hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere, calm and quiet . The pool bar staff and hotel staff were very pleasant and Manuel and the reception staff always did their best to help us . Rooms were very clean and spacious with large balcony areas.
Great breakfast too .
We will visit again .

Positives:
- Excellent air con.
- Comfy beds.
- Great prices at the pool bar and with snack options like ham & cheese toastie and patatas bravas.
- Nice pool.
Negatives:
- Arrived early, told to come back later to check in (fair enough - they gave us towels to use at the pool). But on coming back we had to wait in queue for almost an hour.
- Mould in bathroom and sewage like smell in the room.
- Noisy in the morning between cleaners and other guests with really poor soundproofing.
- Quite noisy at the pool due to the road and motorcycle parking.
Lauren Reed★★★★★
Staff were just incredible. From the front desk, to the restaurant and buffet breakfast to the cleaning staff. All friendly, patient, and helpful.
The rooms were as expected with a lovely view of the beach. The beach in front was luckily not under construction like the beach just northeast.
Location was far from downtown/oldtown. But the restaurant was so good it didn’t matter. They offer bikes to borrow and that worked great for me. There is a trolly-tram you can pay for rides that will take you to and from old town, it is not connected to the hotel and is a separate fee.
Jomin Neelikatt★★★☆☆
Not as I expected. I asked for a bathtub and they didn't gave me.
The room was okay with a nice view but the bathroom had an horrible sewer odor.
The breakfast was really good though.
The position is great, quiet and near the beach.

We wanted to enjoy a short beach get away with our 5 year old child who likes to swim prior to a conference in Barcelona. We booked the hotel because of the pool. Here is a short summary:
+ largely nice staff
+ cute pool
+ just across from the beach
- really really worn and old
- not enough pool chairs with people often remaining without a spot
- lots of dogs everywhere
- not really kid friendly
- far from cafés and restaurants
I would not recommend it for a family.

We had quite an unpleasant experience here, despite the great location and beach proximity. On our first night, we got cold and reached for the comforters in the closet, but both had a strong URINE smell, and one of the blankets was completely wet. We reported this to staff the next day, and they told us the incident would be recorded and looked into.
At checkout, we were told there was no record of any complaint. We followed up by email and received a response claiming the comforter was found “completely dry” with a scent of fabric softener, and that we’d been promptly given a replacement blanket. Neither of these are accurate, we were never given a replacement, and the room was not comped despite the issue.
We also noticed the lobby had a persistent unpleasant odor throughout our stay, which didn’t leave a great first impression.
On a positive note, Raquel at the front desk was genuinely kind and helpful during our stay, and we appreciated her service. It’s just unfortunate that the hotel’s follow-up response didn’t reflect what actually happened, and we felt the situation was minimized rather than properly addressed. It does not feel good to be gaslit by hotel management to hide from their cleanliness issues. If staying at this hotel, I would check with staff to ensure they are following acceptable sanitation standards .

Definitely avoid. I have been coming to Sitges for a while so I can compare.
As much as I loved the Calipolis next door (much better for a similar price), my stay here has been a disaster.
The hotel did not have my already paid reservation in their system despite my confirmation. TripAdvisor and the 3rd party called front desk to confirm my payment but after 1h30 on the phone, we couldn't find a solution.
At this point I couldn't go somewhere else bc my reservation wasn't cancelable.
But front desk insisted I paid again (220€!) for a SINGLE room (I had paid for a double).
I would have left had I seen the room before paying again.
It's about 10m2, window facing a wall.
AC is incredibly noisy, it's now 3am and ppl are speaking loudly in the corridor. No hot water in the shower. Loud music somewhere.
Strong smell of fish.
Definitely my worst hotel experience in a long time.
My confirmation was 100% valid, it's possible the operator didn't do the right thing but the hotel was obviously going to be paid - TripAdvisor is reputable.
I shouldn't have been made to pay again while I showed the debit and spent hours on the phone on speaker.

Excellent small hotel! Rooms are all refurbished and well appointed, (though bed mattress was a bit hard). Outstanding service (notably Raquel in Reception and Montse in the restaurant!). Perfect location on the Med woth views and minutes from shopping and some incredible tapas hotspots. Affordable and impressive!

Stayed at Sercotel Kalma Sitges and had a really great experience overall. The standout from the moment of arrival was the staff, the front desk team was consistently warm, professional, and genuinely helpful, and the housekeeping team kept everything spotless throughout the stay.
The breakfast buffet was another highlight. There was a great variety each morning, and the addition of mimosas and fresh-squeezed orange juice made it feel a bit more elevated than your typical hotel breakfast.
That said, the real star of this hotel is the location. It’s perfectly situated right in the middle of everything in Sitges, making it incredibly easy to walk to restaurants, bars, and the beach. The balcony truly made the experience, sitting out there and taking in the energy of the town was hard to beat and easily the most memorable part of the stay.
Would absolutely stay here again.
Melanie Winch★★★★★
Wow! What a fantastic hotel. I really loved the beautiful, modern beachy decor! Fantastic service at the front desk. Everything was spotlessly clean. Our room was beautifully laid out with enough room for baggage and a sea view to die for! The breakfast restaurant had to be the most beautiful one I've ever seen. The food was delicious! The location can't be beat with so many fabulous restaurants outside the door as well as a stunning beach across the street. I would highly recommend!

I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Casa Vilella in Sitges. The hotel itself is beautiful, well located, and overall the experience was enjoyable.
However, During one of our meals, there were several communication difficulties because the waitress attending us had very limited English, which caused some confusion when ordering food. Although she tried to appear friendly by laughing frequently, the interaction unfortunately felt uncomfortable rather than helpful.
I also believe it would be beneficial for the restaurant staff to maintain a more careful and tidy appearance regarding hair hygiene, especially when handling food.
Aside from these points, the hotel offers a lovely atmosphere and I appreciate the hospitality provided during my stay.

An outstanding hotel! Everything was flawless from start to finish. We received a warm welcome from everyone at reception, and throughout our stay the entire team was dedicated to making our visit unforgettable. Every member of staff was professional, attentive, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile. The staff at both reception and in the restaurant were exceptionally knowledgeable and welcoming, always happy to share recommendations and ensure that every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations.
The breakfast, lunch, and dinner were exceptional, showcasing excellent local products and outstanding quality. The chef creates an exquisite culinary experience each day, with every meal beautifully prepared and presented. A heartfelt thank you for making dining at the hotel such a memorable part of our stay.
Staying somewhere as beautiful as Casa Vilella in Sitges made the experience even more special. We were also welcomed with a complimentary glass of local Cava, a lovely touch.
Breakfast was superb, and Nuria and Jacqueline were particularly attentive, ensuring every guest felt well cared for. The rooms are beautifully decorated to a high standard, with impressive attention to detail throughout. Housekeeping is meticulous, and the hotel is maintained impeccably.
The setting is spectacular, with stunning direct views of the sea that create a truly memorable atmosphere.
Thank you to everyone for taking such wonderful care of us. This hotel is faultless. We have already booked our stay for next year and will continue to recommend this exceptional hotel to all our family and friends. Not to be missed!

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly - my foreign credit card didn’t wit when trying to pay for the cab and a staff member even lended me cash to sort out the situation. The only issue I had was about the room temperature, which wouldn’t below 20. But that’s really minor, I regret not staying for longer!

We have just spent two nights at Casa Vilella and are truly very happy with our stay.
The location is fantastic, right by the sea, and the entire hotel is of a very high standard. You can tell that great care has been put into every detail – everything feels thoughtful and harmonious in a way that you really appreciate. Our room was large and spacious, with very comfortable beds and a beautiful view of the sea, which made the stay even more special.
The service was exceptional. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely cared that we had a great experience, which made us feel very welcome throughout our stay.
We also had dinner at the hotel, which was excellent, and the breakfast was a real highlight – both in terms of quality and the overall experience.
We give Casa Vilella our warmest recommendations and would be very happy to return.

AMAZING place to stay and it really made our trip wonderful. It’s a great location - right across the road from the beach and 5-10 min walk to downtown. The pool was warm and perfect for any time of day. There are not a lot of rooms so the pool was relaxing and we didn’t see many people.
Everyone there was so nice and helpful. The breakfast was delicious - there’s a small buffet and you can also order a small plate off the breakfast menu. The room was modern and spacious and had working AC. I loved staying here and want to come back!

My second stay at Estela, it's a place that I love and I always relax here. It is a unique 'art' hotel. It has wonderful modern abstract art everywhere and is a feast for the eyes. As well as being in the beautiful port area of Sitges. With it's funky beach and popular port area with busy restaurants and bars mostly with a seafood or similar edge. Highly recommended and not too busy. We will definitely be back again. As it is not a brand new hotel some may feel it has some tired edges but I like this element as the wear shows how humans have made it there home on holiday and it feels less clinical and more personable because of this. Give it a try if you like art and sculpture or hotels with personality.
Jon Roberts★☆☆☆☆
No pool, despite being advertised.
Definitely not a four star hotel, the bathroom is ancient. There were paper cups instead of glasses and thin, single ply toilet roll.
The aircon didn’t work.
Our room was advertised as a pool view, it was a view of a building site.
When we were staying there was a huge wedding party, we couldn’t sleep until 2am as they were all over the hotel, ridiculously loud. When I complained I was told ‘oh well’. They couldn’t fix the aircon or move us to a half decent room.
Breakfast was poor, limited options, stale bread, and one of the coffee machines was full of line cleaner.
This would be acceptable if the price wasn’t so outrageous- 240 euros a night.
Patricia Garcia★★☆☆☆
Unfortunately, I have to echo many of the recent reviews I wish I read before our stay.
We booked a suite with a sea view well in advance and even emailed the hotel to confirm this request. However, after payment had already been made, we were told that a sea view was "subject to availability". Upon arrival, we were initially given a room overlooking the harbour car park. Not the nice view that was displayed on the booking website. It was also close to the garden, where the hotel was hosting a wedding (the noise would have been awful). When we asked to change rooms, the receptionist reluctantly moved us. This one did have a sea view, which suggests that such rooms were in fact available.
The room itself was ok but could also use some renovation, particularly the bathroom, where several tiles were broken, and the fridge could do with some de-frosting.
Unfortunately, the wedding meant there was loud music until around 1 a.m. Guests leaving the event were drunk and noisy, and we could clearly hear them from our room. The hotel seems to hold regular weddings now, confirmed by the receptionists, so take this into account if you want to rest. In addition, the balconies remain brightly lit until 1 a.m. (hotel policy), making it difficult to enjoy any privacy or sleep. The swimming pool was advertised as open, but in reality it was still under construction and rather dirty.
The hotel's greatest asset is its location. Beyond that, however, I would avoid unless you want to party until late.
Mikayla Fish★★☆☆☆
No idea how this hotel can claim to be 4 stars. Nothing felt entirely clean.. the first night in the hotel we woke up with multiple bug bites across our legs.. Only had to stay here two nights and wouldn’t have wanted to stay any longer. The location was the only highlight because it was slightly outside the city center and had a nice beach across the street. The pool was closed for renovations which we hadn’t been notified about either.
Eric Merten★★★★★
Unique hotel located on the Med Sea. Once inside, hotel has sweeping stairs right out in the open like a scene from the past. Rooms were a comfortable size, enough space to move around. Not cramped. Bed not the most comfortable. Bathrooms also possibly a scene from the past. But the art and vibe throughout the hotel is pretty darn coolio. Buffet breakfast was good. Nice church nearby for a stroll.

Sophia Milewski★☆☆☆☆
I’m still in disbelief about what happened during our stay.
On Saturday evening, my mother and I became trapped in the hotel elevator due to a power outage. While power failures can happen, what concerned me was how the situation was handled.
The emergency alarm button inside the elevator did not work, despite being intended for exactly this type of situation. There was also no mobile phone reception, meaning the only way to get anyone’s attention was by shouting. This left us with no reliable way to call for help.
Once hotel staff became aware that we were trapped, I repeatedly explained that my mother was feeling very unwell due to the heat, lack of fresh air, darkness and the stress of the situation. Despite this, it took around 20 minutes before any meaningful action was taken. During that time, we were not reassured or regularly updated. Instead, other hotel guests, who had also become trapped but managed to climb out, were the ones who comforted us and alerted more staff to the situation.
We repeatedly asked for the situation to be treated as an emergency. However, rather than immediately contacting the emergency services, staff continued searching for a key. Only after we asked again, around 20 minutes later, were we told that someone would be called.
When we were finally freed from the elevator, no member of the hotel staff was there to check on us, ask whether we needed medical assistance or even offer an apology. My mother was in a very poor condition at that point.
What disappointed me just as much was what happened afterwards. The following day, nobody proactively apologised or asked how we were doing. It was only after I personally described everything that had happened that I received a brief apology, but I did not feel that our concerns were genuinely listened to or taken seriously.
Power outages are beyond a hotel’s control. However, the way emergencies are handled, how guests are communicated with, and whether their wellbeing is checked afterwards are very much within a hotel’s control. Unfortunately, based on our experience, this fell far below the standard we expected.
I sincerely hope the hotel reviews its emergency procedures so that future guests do not have a similar experience.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and offered stunning sea views. The location was excellent, and we especially enjoyed the lovely pool area and the beautiful rooftop terrace.
A special mention goes to the outstanding concierge team — Luis, Camilla, and Peppa. They were available day and night, incredibly attentive, and always went above and beyond to make our stay special. Their warm and professional service truly made a difference.
We would absolutely love to come back and highly recommend this hotel!

FABULOUS!!! This is a such a cool hotel with the perfect balance of chic, comfort and service. Everything was amazing during our 10 day stay, from the friendly greeting of the bellboys, the concierge team, reception, and housekeeping. All our requests were attended to perfectly, and we were greeted like friends, but balanced with the right level of professionalism.
Guille, Luis, and Paola, in the Concierge team are absolute stars of this hotel as they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, and were always so friendly, helpful and willing to assist with everything from booking restaurants, beach reservations, providing advice about the area, arranging bike hire, and just being generally informative and an ever-ready service with a smile.
The breakfast is amazing at this hotel with just about everything you can think of on offer, coupled with great service from the team working there. The view over the beach in the morning is wonderful, so to sit with your coffee enjoying the early sunshine is paradise.
The pool area is beautifully presented with plenty of sunbeds and a great service provided by the waiting team. We enjoyed meeting Maria and Sarah, but sadly didn't get the names of all the waiters, but they were all superb, efficient and friendly. There's a great pool food menu, lots of drink options, and it's great to see a good choice of alcohol-free cocktails on the menu too as my husband doesn't drink, so it's nice to have choices other than a 0% beer or soft drink.
The SPA is an absolute must for anyone staying at this hotel. We had 2 x massages each during our stay provided by Ivan and Maria, and they were very friendly, polite and highly skilled.
The BESO beach restaurant is great for a BBQ fish lunch, and great views out onto the beach, with a fun vibe and good cocktails.
I really struggle to find fault with the hotel and it's services, and would recommend it 100%. It's approx a 20 minute walk up the promenade to the Calipolis and Pic-Nic bar, or you can catch the Ting-Ting which takes 5 mins.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Sitges Terramar and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
A special thank you to Yasmeira, who worked in the restaurant during our stay. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and always willing to help. As I was travelling with my son and young baby, her kindness and support made a huge difference to our experience. She always made sure we were comfortable, checked that everything was okay, and went out of her way to assist us whenever needed during breakfast. Her excellent service and genuine care did not go unnoticed and were greatly appreciated.
The hotel itself was fantastic. Our room was immaculate, comfortable, and maintained to a very high standard throughout our stay. The staff were welcoming, and the overall atmosphere made for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
Thank you to everyone at Hotel Sitges Terramar for such a memorable stay. We would definitely stay here again in the future.
Lea Marie★★★☆☆
The ME Sitges Terramar has several positive aspects: it is located directly on the beach, has a modern and stylish design, and the rooms are beautiful and well maintained. The breakfast is extensive, high quality, and one of the highlights of the hotel.
Unfortunately, the service completely overshadows these positive points. This is advertised as a 5-star hotel, but the level of service is nowhere near what one would expect from such a property.
Throughout our stay, we were repeatedly met with unfriendly attitudes and a lack of willingness to help. Almost every request felt like an inconvenience to the staff, and instead of feeling welcome, we constantly felt dismissed. It reached a point where we found ourselves regularly frustrated by the staff’s behavior, which genuinely affected and diminished our holiday experience.
The endless extra charges only added to the disappointment. Beach loungers cost 10€ per person per day, and even the front-row sunbeds by the pool require an additional payment. It creates the impression that guests are being charged for every possible extra rather than being looked after.
To make matters worse, when we needed a taxi, the hotel staff were unwilling to arrange one for us, leaving us to deal with it ourselves. This is a basic service that should not be an issue in a hotel claiming to offer a 5-star experience.
We will definitely not be returning and cannot recommend this hotel to anyone expecting genuine 5-star service.

Ordered 2 cocktails, Espresso Martini 6/10.
Then asked for a frozen strawberry Daq, told no strawberries. So ordered a pineapple one. It came just without pineapple! Spoke to staff, cocktail barman came out and said they’d been busy ran out of pineapple, so did a plain Daiquiri. Didn’t offer alternative or remove from bill. Paid in full, no tip, there are better places in Sitges.

Stopped by for some coffee in the Hotel’s cafe. Lovely views of the beach.
Coffee was good and staff were friendly.

We had a great experience. It is a beautiful building outside and inside. And on a great location, meter from the beach, and this beach is the calm beach where you have a lot of space. I love the paintings that are spread throughout the building. Our room was on the third floor, had a view of the sea and was of great quality: clean, well maintained. The breakfast is really great too, you literally can pick from the menu, I was amazed by this. And, the staff were friendly and super helpful. From the people at the desk to the servers to the cleaning personal that we met on the stairs. Lovely place. And affordable. Would recommend 100% and we would come back when in sitges.

The location is great for access to a range of beaches, cafes and shops. There is a cosy cafe on the ground floor of the hotel itself. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and even helped us load a heavy bag in the car when they saw us struggling on the roadside. The non sea-view room had a little balcony which was a nice touch. We would happily return.

Really bad experience especially with Sonia.
She was incompetent and had poor skill in client service. We are good customer me and my family. (We payed 4000 euros for 1 week at this hotel). During this stay we have rented beach towels. We gave back the towels and asked for our deposit but they told us that we didn't give back 1 towel (that is not true, we gave it in the morning) and Sonia didn't give us our deposit back (first she wanted to keep the 20 euros of deposit and we had to fight to get back at least 10 euros). We have tried to tell her that but she didn't want to hear us. She shout at me in front of customers because i told her they are thieves. Dont go there. There are way better hotels in Sitges.
I think it is a pity to lose good customers bringing you money just for 10 euros...

Ideally located- beautiful view of the sea from balcony, excellent facilities in appartment, very clean, bikes given to us for week to cycle into town( 2.5km). Sitges is very atmospheric but nice to go back to hotel in quiet area. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful

Overall okay hotel. I'm sure it used to be very nice in the past, but sadly the owners haven't invested in maintaining it:
-The AC is very loud, but not very effective.
-You need to be careful not to touch your smartphone with your roomcard as it will be reset and you will loose access to your room.
-The rentable bikes are rusty and their tires are missing air.
-I heard birds or rats crawling above the sauna room.
-Half of the swimming pool water jets don't work.
-The billiard table and table tennis table look a bit worn down and so on...
However, the rooms were clean and the personell was professional, friendly and helpful.
Also I believe it's cheaper than alternative hotels in the area.
It's just unfortunate because this hotel has more potential.

We were there for 6 days and it was great the view was nice and the people at the reception were friendly so as the cleaning lady. Next to the entrance there is a small shop we’re you can buy pretty much everything what you need . In the hotel there are 3 restaurants we tried 2 of them and they were solid I didn’t like the one that that was specializes on seafood but I guess I just don’t like seafood that much but for a seafood lover a must! But if you don’t want to go to restaurants everyday you can also just cook in the kitchen in your room which hast everything what you need besides a spatula so I recommend you to bring your own one . The pool was nice to and the gym had everything you need .The beach club was only 1 min away and it had a small food stand next to it . I really enjoyed staying there and I’m gonna go there again next year. Enjoy your trip

In fact, with proper management and renovation, it could perhaps be the best hotel in Catalonia, but unfortunately, the negatives outweigh its positives.
The hotel has a very good view and location, however;
The televisions are very old.
The rooms and furniture are very old.
Even the renovated rooms are very old.
The hotel has a clear cleanliness problem.
The key cards stop working every single day without exception. Every day you get stuck at your room door and have to go back down to reception again and again.
The room air conditioning was set to a maximum of 24 degrees, but since the entire room and kitchen were tiled and we stayed in January, this temperature wasn't enough for us; in fact, the room never really reached 24 degrees, and our daughters got cold at night. When we mentioned this to reception, they offered to provide one duvet.
As I said, with proper management and renovation, it would become a fantastic hotel, but unfortunately, it's currently in a worse state than being a good value-for-money hotel.

Unfortunately we had a bad experience from top to bottom. This hotel advertises airport transportation so we ordered it. The taxi didn’t show up at the airport. We had a longer wait at the passport control so I am guessing he gor tired of waiting. I called the hotel twice from the arrivals. First the hung up on me, second they said they didn’t operate a taxi service. So we got a regular taxi from the airport line. But then we get an email that he was there ( a lie) and we will be charged. Ridiculous! The walls between rooms are paper thin. You can hear people talking. We had very loud, partying guests next door and despite me calling the front desk up until midnight nothing has changed noise-wise. When I complained they said it’s not there fault. Loud noise in their hotel late is not the hotel’s fault? Ridiculous. We also asked front desk for help with changing train tickets as Renfe website was difficult to figure out. They wouldn’t help us. There was a smoke coming out of our stove late one evening and I was worried. They wouldn’t let us just sleep in another room, even though it was like 11pm, they offered us to pack at 11pm then move or stay in the same room. It would have taken us an hour to pack so we decided ti stay. All and all the service is really bad. All around. I emailed back and forth with a manager and all he offered was late check out. Pathetic. The hotel is nice but the rooms need to be soundproof and the service needs ti improve significantly.

Had a very pleasant experience in this hotel for a short business meeting.
Its very close to get airport and the beach. It also has good meeting rooms and a great restaurant for your lunch breaks and dinner.
The rooms were really to my liking and I've enjoyed everything and could not find anything bothersome. Would recommend ever for leisure.

Overall a good hotel, we had a great stay but there’re definitely few things to be improved:
The air conditioner doesn’t work well, since the street is very noisy at night it’s impossible to sleep with the balcony open but aircon doesn’t work so it was very hard, stuffy and hot to sleep.
Second thing to be improved is aromatic diffusers which smell very cheap and distractive.
The bathroom is a bit moldy and the floor had hair on it.

The room was next to the pool exit and and everytime someone was slamming the door, TV was shaking. And the noise was very high.
The hotel had all kind off parties and this was disturbing if you wanted to rest.
We had problems with the sink and also the flooring under sink was broken.
Not to expect from a 4 stars hotel.
The only good thing was the location next to the sea.

Disappointing experience – Dirty room and terrible service
We recently stayed at Hotel Playafels in Castelldefels with our two children (aged 8 and 11), and our experience was extremely disappointing.
Upon arrival, we were given a room that was dirty, covered in dust, and had a strong smell of mold. The overall conditions were very poor. We immediately showed the staff the state of the room and requested to be moved, but they offered no solution whatsoever. They were completely inflexible and forced us to sleep in those awful conditions for the first night, claiming the manager was at home and could not be disturbed.
The manager finally arrived the next morning. The only "solution" provided was to move us from the apartment layout (they have apartments near the hotel for groups of four like us) into two separate hotel rooms, for which we were forced to pay several hundred euros extra.
We are deeply unsatisfied with how this situation was handled and the lack of basic cleanliness and customer care. We definitely do not recommend this hotel.

Top location but over charging if you think paying it online is enough for €900 no they overcharged you with another €900 for it on check in ! and I just did a week , Rooms are nice No oven in kitchen and how you give apartments when you are hotel plus where's your washer someone stole it?

Really nice hotel in a beautiful corner of Sitges. Great amenities, the pool was really lovely with lots of seating both shaded and in the sun. The rooms were modern and well equipped with a good amount of space. Had really comfortable sleeps here, the blackout shades, mattresses, and pillows were all great.
It’s very centrally located, right next to the beach and city center, within 15min walking you’ll be in town. Had a really lovely stay!

The hotel is ok. I liked the view from the room’s balcony. But there are barely any amenities and the water/coffee/creamer were not refreshed daily. We called guest services to request them and they asked us to call room service and purchase. We said but this should be refreshed daily so please send. They said ok but sent nothing. They charge for the car parking more than all other hotels I stayed at all over spain and they don’t guarantee a spot so you cannot book it. It’s first come first served. The location seemed to be ok when I was booking because it’s on the marina and 20 minutes walk to the city centre but the walk whether to the marina, beach or town is quite hilly with stairs and elevations.

We stayed in the junior suite, and while the room is nice and spacious, the AC was never cool enough to cover the whole space. The room was very, very hot by the time the afternoon came around. The maintenance team came a few times to the room to check if the AC wasn't working, but just said that it was running at its max and that we had to close out the blackout curtains to try to get the room to cool. Seems to me like a faulty AC system, where there was only 1 vent feeding into the room. They need to rethink this.
The room was also constantly full of small mosquitoes (maybe fruit flies?) which we could not get rid of. We were not producing any organic trash to attract the flies, so it didn't make sense. It didn't matter how much we shoo'd or even killed them, there were always multiple new ones every day.
Additionally, one day we had bought our own lunch from a supermarket and called reception to ask for cutlery. They wanted to charge us 8 EUR per pair of cutlery. Having spent so much money on staying in the junior suite for 3 nights, we were at the minimum expecting this sort of thing to be free. It was not.
The price you pay for parking in the hotel is also astronomical, I believe it was 24 EUR/day. Again, staying in a very expensive suite you would at least believe this will be included. They have a very large underground basement for the hotel, so it's not an issue of space.
Quite disappointing how everything they did felt incredibly money-driven and not customer-first.
The positives of this hotel are purely based on its good location, nice pool, and good breakfast.

Nice hotel but bad service!
We had to leave early as my son got sick
First , staff lied to me when asking advice booking uber saying it does not work in sitges! Simply a lie , we booked it and got it in 3 minutes.
What worse is their reply when giving feedback to thier mail. They know to write nice as they might do here too below **but**not only did they not recognise the issue , but actualy admitting it's their policy to lie to customers (because ' uber takes along time'! Which was also simply not true in our case)
I would avoid such places if that how they understand care for their customers

The main attraction of this hotel is its location.
Three mins walk to the harbour. And about 15 mins to Sitges beaches and the old quarter.
Breakfast was good. Gym - average.
However, my room was tired and dated - threadbare carpet, old-fashioned, mid-brown wood interior trimmings, rickety wardrobe doors, thin towels - in fairly urgent need of a refurbishment.
My room felt like a three star.
Ask for a room on floor four or above as those seem to have been modernised.
Service is mixed. Some of the staff seemed a little apathetic.
It's a large hotel specialising in business conventions. I'm guessing their corporate customers are more bothered about price.

The staff were really helpful, sending information prior to our arrival via what’s app and everyone we met on reception was friendly.
Our room was light, spacious and clean.
The bed was really comfortable and we liked the addition of Rituals toiletries in the bathroom.
There is an informal dining area/terrace with complimentary snacks, kettle, microwave.

What I enjoyed: the location was super central (right next to all the bars) yet the room was quiet, the bed and bedding were high quality, the AC worked very well, and the Rituals bath products were a nice surprise. Yari, the front desk lady, was especially friendly and deserves a special mention.
In terms of downsides: I didn’t get any hot water at all during my stay, and generally felt like the common areas and the bedrooms could do with some decor to make it warmer and more inviting. The environment was quite bare generally.
Overall, I found it was good value for money and would be happy to stay again.

I've been to Sitges many times and stayed in both hotels and apartments but this time I was looking for something small, simple, and personal. Hotel Divino stood out immediately.
Right in the heart of the gay area, it still feels like a little tranquil oasis. The hotel is run by a lively, warm, and genuinely kind team. The level of service and care is exceptional. I felt truly looked after, and any issue I had was resolved quickly and with a smile.
A special thank you to Yari, who went above and beyond whether it was a room swap or just an extra towel, everything was taken care of effortlessly.
10/10 from me.
One thing to keep in mind: noise. Some rooms face the street and, even with excellent windows, you might hear the buzz outside. Others can be a bit noisy due to thinner walls. That’s something I notice, though I know it’s not a dealbreaker for everyone.
If you're sensitive to sound, I highly recommend Room 9 on the third floor. It’s tucked away with no direct neighbors and comes with a beautiful small terrace. Calm, private, and absolutely lovely.
I genuinely enjoyed my stay and will definitely return.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Divino, and I can honestly say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, the location immediately impressed us—it's perfectly situated, making it easy to explore the surrounding area.
What truly stood out, however, was the staff. Their thoughtfulness and genuine care for our comfort made our stay feel extra special. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and their warm hospitality made us feel right at home.
The hotel itself is a testament to attention to detail. Everything was impeccably clean and well-maintained, which added to the overall inviting atmosphere. The accommodations were not only comfortable but also designed with a keen eye for aesthetics and functionality.
Overall, Hotel Divino exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable getaway. We can’t wait to return!

We honeymooned at Hotel Subur in Sitges and honestly couldn’t have picked a better spot. We Ubered from Barcelona when we arrived and never got inside another car the entire week. Everything was walkable. The location is unbeatable — right across from the beach, just a block and a half from Judgement Square, and surrounded by so many incredible restaurants, cafés, and bars. We usually walked a little farther down to the gay beach, which we loved.
There’s also a lively sports bar connected to the lobby that always had a fun energy without being disruptive.
The hotel itself was fantastic for the price, and we’d absolutely stay there again. The rooms were clean, the shower was great, the service was friendly, and having a mini fridge made a big difference during a beach week. One thing to note: noise can travel through the tile-lined hallways a bit, but we brought a sound machine and had zero problems sleeping.
Hotel Subur was exactly what we wanted for Sitges — comfortable, affordable, central, and full of life.
Djeus Wong★★★★☆
The positives,
Fantastic location, spacious room, spacious balcony and breathtaking ocean view from our Superior room with sea view!
Check-in was prompt and easy, we were allowed to check-in earlier. There’s a lift so you don’t have to climb stairs. Reasonable prices.
The negatives,
The noises you hear from next doors and from the corridor. The wall is thin and echoes every noise from next door. Even when our neighbours were taking their showers! The bed was also very noisy, every movement caused squeaky noise the whole night.
The water temperature was also not consistent, it tuned extremely hot halfway our showers and it occurred on every shower.
Overall i would consider staying here again but only for short stay unless they fix the issues mentioned.
Vincent Zeteliano★★★★☆
Great location for bars and beach. The room is decent and the AC air conditioner works amazingly. The only problem is the shower/bathroom, needs an update or reorganizing. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again.

We had multiple issues with the hotel. Starting with housekeeping walking into our room at 9am without knocking. And then for our departure we booked a morning cab to the airport, that not only took us miles away from the airport to the nearest town, but demanded cash despite being told we could pay card. We had to get a bus to the airport and nearly missed our flight.

I stayed at this hotel for four days, and the location is excellent — right on the beach with a beautiful view. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the services were good overall. Prices are reasonable and worth it. I definitely recommend anyone to try this hotel!
Tips for Booking a Beach Hotel in Sitges
While selecting the right hotel is half the battle, knowing how to book smartly can save you money and significantly improve your stay. Sitges is a highly seasonal destination, and the strategy you use for a quiet spring weekend differs greatly from a peak summer holiday. Understanding the local calendar and the nuances of the properties will ensure you get the best value and the exact experience you are looking for.
Book Well in Advance for Festivals: Sitges is famous for its Carnival in February and the Sitges Film Festival in October. If your trip coincides with these events, or with the peak summer months of July and August, beachfront rooms sell out months in advance. Do not wait for last-minute deals during these periods; instead, book as early as possible to secure a room with a terrace or sea view, as these are the first inventory to go.
Understand the Beach Types: Not all beaches in Sitges are the same. The beaches near the town center, like Platja de la Ribera, are lively and social, but they can be noisy. If you are looking for a quieter, more relaxing experience, consider hotels located near the western end of the coast, such as those near Platja de Sant Sebastià or the more secluded coves. Conversely, if you want to be in the middle of the action, stay near the Passeig Maritim.
Consider Half-Board vs. Room Only: While Sitges boasts an incredible restaurant scene, many of the larger beachfront hotels offer excellent half-board packages. Given that prime beachfront dining can be pricey, a half-board option can sometimes offer better value, especially for families. However, if you are a foodie, choose room-only rates to ensure you have the freedom to explore the town’s tapas bars and fine dining establishments without being tied to a hotel buffet.
Check for Access and Accessibility: The historic charm of Sitges means that some of the older, boutique hotels near the sea may not have elevators or may feature narrow staircases. If you have mobility concerns or are traveling with a stroller, verify the accessibility features before booking. Additionally, check if the hotel has direct beach access or if you need to walk around buildings or cross the train tracks to reach the sand.
Look for Rooftop Amenities: In Sitges, the view is often the most valuable amenity. When comparing hotels, pay close attention to the rooftop facilities. A hotel with a rooftop pool or bar overlooking the Mediterranean can completely change your experience, especially during the hot summer afternoons when the beach gets crowded. These spaces often provide a more exclusive and relaxing alternative to the public sand.
The magic of Sitges lies in its ability to make you feel both energized and completely at ease, and the right hotel acts as the anchor for this experience. By prioritizing location and understanding the specific character of each property, you can move beyond the generic tourist experience and feel like a temporary local. Whether you are sipping coffee on a balcony overlooking the fishing boats or stepping directly onto the warm sand for a sunrise swim, the connection to the sea is what makes this town unforgettable.
As you finalize your travel plans, remember that the best trips are often built on a balance of planning and spontaneity. Secure the hotel that fits your vision of the perfect holiday, but leave room in your itinerary to wander the promenade, discover a hidden cove, or simply watch the sunset paint the sky over the church on the hill. In Sitges, the beach is more than a destination; it is the heartbeat of the town, and staying beside it ensures you never miss a beat.
