15 Best Hotels Near La Carihuela Beach

La Carihuela is more than just a stretch of sand; it is the historic fishing quarter of Torremolinos, transformed into a vibrant coastal promenade. Nestled between the bustling center of Torremolinos and the marina of Benalmádena, this neighborhood offers a unique blend of Andalusian charm and modern tourist amenities. For travelers, staying near La Carihuela means waking up to the smell of sea salt and having immediate access to some of the best "chiringuitos" (beach restaurants) on the Costa del Sol.

The area is famous for its wide, clean beach, gentle waves, and accessibility. Unlike some of the rockier coves further east, La Carihuela offers a long, flat promenade perfect for sunset strolls or morning jogs. It is a destination that appeals to retirees seeking winter sun, families looking for a safe beach holiday, and couples wanting a romantic getaway with excellent dining options.

Choosing the right accommodation here can define your entire trip. Because the area is densely packed with high-rise apartments and boutique hotels, the difference between a standard room and a great experience often comes down to location. You want to be close enough to the action to walk to dinner, but far enough from the loudest bars to get a good night’s sleep.

Many properties in this zone boast "sea view" rooms, but the quality of that view varies significantly. Some hotels sit directly on the sand, while others are located across the main road or tucked behind other buildings. It is essential to understand the geography of the Paseo Marítimo to ensure you get the beachfront experience you are paying for.

Accessibility is another key factor for visitors. The Cercanías train line connects La Carihuela to Málaga Airport in about 15 minutes, making it one of the most convenient beach resorts in Europe for a short transfer. If you are arriving by car, parking can be notoriously difficult in the narrow streets, so booking a hotel with private parking is often worth the extra cost.

The dining scene is the soul of La Carihuela. The promenade is lined with restaurants specializing in "espetos" (sardines skewered on bamboo and roasted over olive wood fires) and fresh seafood. Staying here means you are never more than a few steps away from a cold glass of gazpacho or a plate of grilled red mullet.

Ultimately, the best hotels near La Carihuela offer more than just a bed; they provide a gateway to the authentic Mediterranean lifestyle. Whether you want a luxury resort with a spa or a family-run pension with character, the area has something to suit every budget and preference.

Great location for accessibility and if all you're doing is partying. We used the place as a stop over for the airport and it was not clean, smelt like sick and the photos do not show the fact the door from the room is directly onto the street, completely glass fronted (frosted at least!). Dirty full mop bucket left in the shower and shower curtain was mouldy. We expected it to be loud so that's not a problem, music wasn't too late and it is ideally located for a party. Good communication from host re check in etc. And it was easy to get to room and access. Car park a few mins walk away that is €2/ day

Rooms vary, the one we had was ideal. We didn't need cleaning but was offered twice in the week Plenty of hot water, not sure we could do self catering for a week? As limited equipment, but all you needed for basics. Astro turf on terrace gets very hot underfoot, so be aware if you have children

We were pleased by the host and it was very pleasant stay in the apartment, it was really easy to get the keys as the host Alberto came to give us keys and explain the details of the room. The apartment is right beside the beach so you would definietly have a great sea view and wonderful night vibes you can get right outside in the promeande. The room and bathroom was spotlessly clean. Bed had comfortable mattress, room had hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, TV. Beach Carihuela is at extremely close vicinity, close to many restaurants (yes Indian restaurant too). Just one thing lacks is absence of lift, but if you are fine with stairs then nothing much to worry about. Would highly recommend 👌 staying at this apartment. Definitely gonna come back if we come back to Torremolinos.

Very very very very very very....literally super dirty. Toilette and bath is full of thick mildew and stinky - Hazardous for health!! Windows are broken and couldn't be opened. Shoe marks on the walls. Dirty kitchen area. They knew how dirty our room. They noticed it but kept turning a blind eye.

Great location - really good service from the staff - rooms and balcony straight on the beach - definitely come again 🏌🏻‍♂️⛳️🏌🏻‍♂️⛳️💥🥳

This was are 4th visted in as many years Excellent hotel with everything we want. Near beech . Shopping. Bars etc. Plenty of things to se and do. Rooms a bit dated but adequate. Expensive for a 3 star but suits are needs. Food has improved so that's good thing . The manager on the desk who is leaving i wish him well. Overall the hotel has a quite feeling with plenty to do. We will be visiting again in September. Hopefully floor 7 overlooking the pool and sea. See you soon.

Hotel is lovely clean and in a great location. Just got here late Monday night due to delays with jet 2. First impression for breakfast was poor hot food was freezing so ended up having toast. They have a policy like most hotels about no reserve on beds and I look out of my balcony and there's ppl leaving their belongings and going away which isn't right so there's one job hotel are not sticking too. Can not share anything else at the moment as havent been here that long but sun beds are my bug bare

Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay here. I stayed for 7 nights on a half-board basis and joined the tours organized by the hotel. My only complaint is regarding the dinner buffet. Even standard local restaurants provide free tap water to customers, but this hotel’s buffet doesn't offer any water at all—only hot soup. If you don't buy their bottled mineral water, the staff won't even give you a water glass. On top of that, they seated our group of 6 at a table meant for 4. Absolutely unacceptable!

We had a great stay here , the hotel is right on the beach and you are spoilt for places to eat. The room was very clean , staff were helpful. We did find the breakfast a bit hectic because it was so busy but if you wanted to go to the café around I would recommend them also it has a roof top bar and its a nice place to relax.

First stay at Hotel Barracuda. Know area well and this well appointed hotel didn't disappoint. Very clean , loved our time at the pool * ..... and IQ DA on top floor was great spot for nightcap almost every night. Bar staff up their were top notch ..... and made a mean whisky sour. *Special mention for poolside activities /entertainment from Miguel down by the pool . Such a fun , friendly guy and a lovely attitude to life in general. 🤩

Beautiful hotel, the gardens are stunning. The pool area is lovely and staff are really friendly. The bar isn't overly expensive, like some places and it's well located for local bars, restaurants and the beach. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The only thing that would make it perfect would be fridges in the room. Would definitely return.

Just returned from a 4 night break in this Hotel. It's a little gem of a find. Very clean, staff are extremely helpful and attentive. Yari, is a ray of sunshine. Location great for beach and restaurants. Highly recommend. Will return.

Basic rooms, exceptionally clean. Great place to stay, especially for a shorter trip. Has an evening bar, but is also close enough to the sea front and the promenade of bars/restaurants. We'd recommend.

Fabulous little gem of a hotel Staying at present for 4 nights Family run good friendly service Clean beautiful gardens and well kept pool Run on room only basis but breakfast available full English 9e toast coffee juice 4e Snacks available pizzas etc very reasonable Bar prices reasonable bar open 24 hours Easy walk to beach hundreds of eating drinking options Will return

Great location as short walk the sea front with bars, shops and restaurants. Hotel is spotless with small but beautiful outdoor/pool area, flowers and plants everywhere. Pool was a lovely temp too. Staff were nice and friendly. Room was very basic, but very clean. We found the bed very small, I'd say smaller than an average double bed. Our room was on the left hand side (as you look at the front) and we could hear traffic throughout the night. But we couldn't complain because we had a great deal.

We had a wonderful stay at MS Amaragua Hotel and really enjoyed our experience. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. A special thank you to Mr Reda, who was extremely professional, helpful, and kind. He took the time to explain everything to us clearly and made sure we had everything we needed. His excellent customer service really made a difference. I also really enjoyed the spa, the buffet, and of course the fantastic sea front location. Waking up so close to the sea and enjoying the views was definitely one of the highlights of our stay.

Lovely hotel, top location, nice pool area, friendly staff. I only booked breakfast which was nice, big selection of sweet treats and bread as well. The room we had was nice, not modern but still nice, the bathroom however was modern and has a big shower. The room loses are star for me as my room was above the bin stores and I was awoken by the rubbish truck at 6am 😔 Not the hotel's fault but maybe fit double glazing on that side? Still no biggie, would definitely return. I would say that it isn't a hotel where your children would be entertained. I couldn't see a kids club and the pool area is not the biggest, meaning daddy will be the entertainment whilst mummy works on her tan.

If you would like to spoil yourself in La Carihuela, book the spa and a massage at the 4-star hotel Amaragua. If you book a 50-minute massage, you get the spa for free. I had the inside swimming pool to myself for 30 minutes. Tesera did my relaxing massage and it was fabulous! I can highly recommend the whole experience.

Took my 15 year old daughter for a last minute getaway mid exam studies in October for 4 nights. We absolutely loved everything about the hotel including the fact that an Irish band (Patrick Feeny) had taken over the hotel for week! We loved it so much I’ve just booked today to take husband and both daughters for a family trip this June. Staff are great - location 10/10. And I love the fact it’s so close to the airport but not on the flight path so it’s great watching the planes fly in without the noise you get in Malaga - and the transfer is super quick.

We stayed at MS Tropicana Costa del Sol from 4th to 10th July, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. The service was outstanding and, in my opinion, even better than many 5-star hotels. The rooms were spotless, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was peaceful and relaxing. The reception staff were always attentive, friendly, and eager to help. I had a small issue with the air conditioning in my room, and after reporting it at reception, it was resolved immediately. One of the things I appreciated most was the excellent service on the day of departure. As our flight was only in the late afternoon, the hotel stored our luggage, allowed us to enjoy the pool all day, and even provided a complimentary room where we could shower and get changed before leaving. This was such a thoughtful gesture and made our last day so much more enjoyable. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh options, and the dinner buffet was absolutely delicious, offering an impressive selection of high-quality dishes every evening. Every member of staff was exceptionally kind, professional, and helpful—from the breakfast and dinner restaurant teams to the hotel bar staff and the Tropicana Beach Club team. Around the pool, the atmosphere was calm, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be coming back. Congratulations to the entire team for your dedication, professionalism, and exceptional hospitality. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!

From what I saw we were fortunate enough to get the new rooms which is AMAZING!!!! Absolutely stunning! Everything was perfect! Breakfast and location just perfect! Thank you so much for being so accommodating Our flight was later so we were allowed to shower and get ready in the sister hotel which was as beautiful! Thank you
Alex Bullion★★★★☆
Really enjoyed our stay - the location is perfect - almost directly on the beach. Great facilities- pool, gym Spa. My only criticism was that I asked to bring a coffee from the breakfast area to my room and was told very sternly!!! that I could it 'just this once' and not tomorrow. And no coffee/tea in the room. Apart from this the hotel is very good. Breakfast is also included.

This was my third TUI holiday in 12 months, and I’ve now spent around £7,000 on what were all advertised as 4-star hotels. Having recently stayed at the Riu Costa del Sol, which truly delivered a 4-star experience, I was left very disappointed by the standards at the MS Tropicana. From the outset, I was struck by the fact that no 4-star plaque was displayed at the entrance. Nearby hotels, including those with a lower rating such as 3-star properties, proudly show theirs. The absence here raises the question: on what basis has this hotel been classed as 4-star? The accommodation itself did not meet expectations. My room felt dated, more in line with a 2-star property, and had an adjoining door which compromised privacy. Basic amenities such as tea and coffee facilities were missing, which I would consider a given for a hotel at this rating. The balcony view was also poor, dominated by a large, disused extractor fan, and further spoiled by dust and debris falling from the balcony above. Overall, I found the experience to be well below the standard promised. Having experienced the quality at the Riu Costa del Sol earlier this year, the difference was stark. I would like TUI to explain how the MS Tropicana has been awarded a 4-star rating and why it is marketed in the same category as properties that clearly exceed it in comfort, facilities, and overall guest experience. I don’t blame the hotel, just TUI Excellent location
Joseph Dewell★★★★☆
Little jem of a place. Clean tidy good staff. The wife and myself enjoyed our stay and have Little criticism. The breakfast needs more attention to keep it warm. Possibly better if the plates where warm instead of cold .all in all would return no problem

We have stayed at this hotel twice now. Our last visit was 16-5-26 for one week and it was great. The hotel is very clean and in an absolutely ideal location for both Torremolinos and Benalmádena. The service while there was very good as well. All the staff we met were brilliant at their jobs and made our stay very pleasant. Special shout out to Rodrigo, Irene, Juan, Marian and Angy. Who all were superb. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely outstanding. Rodrigo especially made my stay so comfortable and I felt so safe. As a single woman travelling finding places where you feel safe is so key. This hotel is superb. Staff and facilities are top notch. I definitely would return.

I left with beautiful memories and would happily return.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

A small hotel and spa, centrally located, fabulous staff and facilities. There was no view from my window so curtains stayed shut. The spa facilities are not in use currently only on request for hire at an hourly rate per person.

Very familiar staff. Wide variety breakfast. Great location near sandy beach. Clean cozy rooms, I had to switch because of smell in a bathroom, receptionist immediately gave me another. Overal feeling is family-like. There is always parking spot nearby.

Honestly, its decent, its cheap, the pool to yourself pretty much. Plenty of history to this hotel. Its charming (long story short). The rooms are clean, shower although a bath shower is powerful (its always a must for me). Air con, tv. Just really worth the price.
Jesper Bjerre Jensen★★★☆☆
Stayed here just one night, as we wanted to be close to the airport to catch a 6 am flight. The hotel was much better than we expected. Nice size of the room, good for our children and our dog. Free parking, right in front of the lobby, and a nice garden and a big pool. Very close to the beach and promenade, just 50 meters. Torremolinos can be noisy, but it was all nice and quiet during our stay.
Jowita Ro★★★★★
Very close to the beach, quiet, and clean. Our room was the bare minimum, but we didn't spend much time there, so I recommend it to anyone who spends time at the hotel to freshen up and sleep.
Sanda Skestere★★★★★
Fantastic place with spanish vibe and beautiful interior, right next to busy streets and wonderful beach. We will definetly come here again!
Chanin Gilman★★★★☆
Hotel Residencia Miami in Torremolinos had offered the best solid hot shower of our whole Spain trip! This smaller hotel contained tired but cozy traditional decor. Our room was clean and comfortable with balcony doors overlooking a nice private courtyard and pool. It was a great walkable location for the local oceanfront boardwalk. The host was very willing to assist with our evening walking and dining plans, and he was full of good suggestions. Having a private parking lot was super handy. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Could this Spanish Hotel be as special as it was a year ago? Had we imagined the hospitality, the quality? Why did we decide to return? Yes absolutely it is! It still remains the most amazing hotel I have ever stayed in. Unique in my opinion. My grandson is 20 and he was very eager to make the return trip with me. Imagine a 20 year old with his 70+ grandmother. A couple of faces missing as you would expect 12 months down the line. Greeted warmly by Sergio, who offered a ground floor large room overlooking the pool. Quickly changed , as my mobility is not great, to a 3rd floor at the back of the hotel. Would I miss the front aspect overlooking the seating area? Absolutely not. Either aspect is super. A lift takes you to any of the floors. (3 in total) No wonder my grandson fell in love with this hotel. The staff remembered us from last year, and as soon as they could see he was more determined than ever, to speak Spanish. No opportunity was ever missed by any of the Spanish staff. Susanah at breakfast and bar duties lights up every room with her smile and perfect service. Raquel, stunning. Beautiful inside & out. I discovered my grandson and her both share a truly deep passion for music. Julian oh what a star this guy is. Forever happy, can sing, dance and has the most infectious smile I have ever seen. Courteous and a delight to be around. He delivers every time. Beatrix a pocket rocket on reception. Staggered by her beauty, intelligence and ability to speak many languages. Food at breakfast was plentiful,a great variety to suit everyone's taste. Hot food was always hot and topped up regularly. The bar is well stocked and a great place to socialise. Happy hour 6to7pm daily. Snacks available. A lovely selection of cocktails too. The rooms are perfectly equipped, spotless and regularly cleaned, by some super friendly ladies, who always have a smile on their faces. Bars and restaurants within easy reach. For those like me who cannot walk as well as most. Taxis readily available to take you to Carihuela beach area or the centre of Torremolinos. Approx 6 to7 euros. I am delighted that we found this absolute gem of a place. So impressed by our 2nd visit. Sitting on the balcony, hooked up to exceptional free wi-fi, we booked a return trip in September 2026. Yes Arcos de Montemar. You deserve every success. Thank you all for making us so very very welcome during our week stay.

Just home from staying at this beautiful hotel. Small hotel but very personal. The staff can't do enough for you. I would highly recommend this hotel. It was just an amazing stay from start to finish. Great location, only ten minutes walk to the beach, bars and restaurants. I can honestly say I'll be back. Thank you to all the great staff you made my stay very memorable.

Great find. This is an excellent small friendly hotel. Very clean with all the facilities you need. The staff were friendly, helpful and went out of there way to help. Located on local bus route gives good connections. 15mins walk to C1 train station but be aware up hill. 10mins walk to beach and good selection of restaurants.

Only our 2nd day in... But the hotel is everything I wanted! Cute, traditional, quiet... Air con rooms, however, the room we have... don't sit on the balcony with the air con on! The fan blows hot air out on the balcony! Turn it off.... The staff are fab! Couldn't do enough for us so far!!! Julian on the bar is THE BEST!! So friendly and helpful... Always laughing 😁 Rachel on reception, helpful and polite on arrival and each day has greeted us politely ❤️ Want a drink at the pool? Order at the inside bar and they bring it out ❤️ Great location, nice and quiet but close enough to the beach front and short walk to the harbour ❤️

What a perfect 3 night stay at the Hotel Cabello. Bill, Anna and their family made me feel welcome from the minute I arrived until the moment I left. I have stayed in many hotels in Torremolinos of varying standards over the years, but the Hotel Cabello will be my go to hotel for future visits. Their warm welcome and hospitality is second to none. Their location in La Carihuela is perfect with many choices for food and drink. They even allowed me to play their beautiful piano into the late hours, entertaining guests and having a sing along. I cannot wait to come back, so thank you all for making my recent trip a memorable one.

UPDATE TO REVIEW BELOW Stayed here in March 24 for a week - based on how friendly and welcoming the staff were when we had been in for a drink. We weren't disappointed - the location is ideal - a few metres to the promenade and beach - loads of shops and places to eat nearby. Best part of the Carihuela area, yet not too far to get to Torremolinos centre. Rooms basic but comfortable - somewhere to sleep, shower and keep your belongings - no negatives. Staff are superb - happy, smiling and great hosts. So good to sit out in the evening with a (very good) cold beer, or a coffee and brandy. Lovely view of the Mediterranean to wake up to - really don't understand some reviews that are less than positive. I couldn't have asked for a better week than we had. Will be visiting again early June 24 while we are in the area. Hasta Pronto!! ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW Great place for a cold beer after a walk down to Benalmadena from Torremolinos centre - the guy who plays piano (brilliantly) is the best. We will be back in April for a few cold ones! Not stayed here but I am sure that they look after guests as they do passing trade - so would recommend to both. Great location close to the seafront - for us, it is a must to stop-off at least once a week during holidays. Salud!
Richard Perry★★★★★
The hotel is situated approximately 20 meters from the promenade, it's clean, comfortable and basic. The staff are very friendly. Breakfast consists of a toasted bread roll with butter and jam and a hot drink. The coffee is excellent and the rolls are crusty and very tasty which are fresh every morning.
Jim Lannie★★★★★
This a basic 2* hotel, no coffee /tea making facilities in the rooms, but, rooms are very clean, the bathroom modern, shower over the (small) bath. The family run hotel is well situated at the end of Playa Miguel, a stones throw from the popular beach, and in a lovely little plaza, with a popular water fountain! No food served in the hotel apart from a roll with coffee for breakfast but loads of eating houses all around to suit everyone. The hotel is in a plaza so you can't drive to the front door but there is a "busy" car park directly behind it. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again

This is a fantastic place to stay! The staff are efficient, friendly and helpful, they a a true asset to the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and roomy with cute little balconies to sit on and chill. The amenities are fabulous, lovely out door pool, a gym, hot tub, inside pool, a couple of bars and an excellent restaurant. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the area. It's a great base of operations as well easy and cheap public transport to Málaga, Torremolinos, Mijas and the surrounding areas.

We had a very enjoyable stay overall. The rooms were lovely and clean, with excellent air conditioning that kept the room cool even during the hottest parts of the day. The balcony was a nice size, and the shower was spacious with great water pressure. The cleaning staff were friendly and did a fantastic job throughout our stay. The reception staff were also welcoming, helpful, and always pleasant to deal with. The pool area was very busy during our stay, and it was difficult to find available sunbeds, so we chose not to spend much time there. However, the beach is only a short walk away, as is the marina, making it easy to find alternative places to relax. Sunbeds on the beach were well worth the €8, and there are plenty of lovely restaurants around the marina, all within walking distance. The only other thing to note is that the lifts are quite small, and there is a short but fairly steep hill leading up to the hotel. Because of this, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel for wheelchair users or anyone with significant mobility difficulties. Overall, a pleasant stay in a great location, with easy access to the beach, marina, and local restaurants.
Paul Whittick★★★★☆
Nice hotel in a good place for all the amenities on the marina and surrounding area. Small ish rooms but clean and aircon works well . Reception I found very helpful. Especially Carmen she was very helpful and we were extremely grateful. BBQ night wasn’t explain very well that you eat one lot of meat then yo can order another, eventually we worked it out and we enjoyed what we had . Breakfast was very good except the coffee wasn’t that great and very strong. If you want a clean room in a good location and will be out most of the day then this hotel would be fine . Never spent much time in hotel so unable to comment on other services provided . Taxis at reception are very fast had a few €25/30 from airport.

The location, with its beautiful sea views, is amazing and very relaxing. The hotel staff are extremely professional, welcoming, and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble, and you feel well looked after from check-in right through to departure. The hotel is clean and well maintained, which is clearly down to the dedication and hard work of the team. However, the lack of investment in the rooms is beginning to show. Small upgrades such as new curtains, bedding, improved lighting, and fresh painting would make a big difference. This hotel has huge potential and could be even more desirable with some thoughtful improvements. Many customers return year after year, and this is clearly thanks to the wonderful staff and the warm, welcoming atmosphere they create.

The staff are sooo nice, especially the man who works nights, and they gave us extra pillows on request. The rooms very dated, comfy beds tho, just needs a little update and it really needs more plugs! Lovely location recommend the Chinese nearby especially if you love a good satay chicken

The staff demonstrated remarkable friendliness, and while the rooms are compact, they are impeccably clean, air-conditioned, and provide an excellent vista. Furthermore, the hotel features a rooftop with panoramic views and an inviting indoor courtyard, both accessible for enjoyment at any time.

Outdated, heavy sewer smell from bathroom. Airco whole building is on heat, room was 25 degrees on my thermometer. Could barely sleep with the balcony door opened. Good location and nice staff though. Also cheap. Not much they can do about their non individual climate control and stinky sewer of the area. But yeah cant rate it higher than this. But you are better of with al andalus hotel for similar price.

This is location, location and location. The rooms are fine and clean. Very good service if you ask. The roof top at 4th floor is great in the night - chilly and great view.

Just returned from a lovely 5 night stay at palm beach club, everything was perfect, all the staff were polite and friendly, everywhere was clean and tidy, the apartment itself was bright, spacious and nicely decorated and aot of thought had gone in to ensure everything was there. The pool area was small, but adaqate. The location was ideal 2 minutes to the street with bars, shops and restaurants, 3 minutes to the beach, up the steps at the side to the main road to catch the bus. My partner kept hitting his head on the light, but his own fault for being so tall andnot looking where he was going. We loved our stay in la carihuela and palm beach club apartments and will definitely return.

This is our home in Spain. The team at Palm Beach Club Apartments makes our stay special: a warm team of customer oriented service providers that go out of their way to plan, prepare and deliver quality services in a clean. comfortable environment. Great rooms with balconies overlooking the Mediterranean, a beautiful outdoor pool and deck area, a cool café/convenience store and so much more make it a very inviting place to be. Ultimately, it it a prime location in the heart of the Torremolinos beach area. Looking forward to returning for a third time. Joseph Elias and Sonia Savoie

We had a very pleasant two-night stay at Palm Beach Club Apartamentos. The apartment was clean, cozy, and well equipped for a short holiday. The location is perfect — just a short walk to the beach, with many restaurants and shops nearby. Everything was easy and comfortable, and we would gladly stay here again.

This is a really good hotel in a great location for the beach, restaurants and shops. The public areas are really well maintained, clean with excellent décor. The staff are all absolutely amazing. Things that were really good - the foyer, restaurant, rooftop pool. The rooftop is good and despite some of the other reviews did not really ever have a problem getting a bed. Good range of food and drinks available on the rooftop. The buffet restaurant has a really good selection of hot and cold food available, with lots of staff clearing tables and keeping the selection topped up. Freshly cooked eggs, omelettes, pancakes. Lots of fruit, cheese, meats, hot breakfast. Good value for money for breakfast. Ate once in the evening at the hotel and they had a similarly amazing range of hot and cold food available. Evening entertainment is decent with the bar open and the most AMAZING staff at the bar. Rooms - had a junior suite and was really good size. Found it similar to other reviews that the bedrooms are a little dated and could do with some updates, however they are very clean with decent furnishings. Good sized wardrobe, 2 beds pushed together to make a decent sized bed. A 2 seater couch and a chair in the sitting area with a small patio to sit outside. Room faced the road which gets the afternoon/evening sun which was nice. Air conditioning is good and efficient. A safe in the room but you need to pay a deposit to use this which is a bit outdated. Bathroom is a good size although, again, a little dated. Towels were changed when requested. Good pressure and temperature from the shower.

I arrived at the hotel on 18 August, and overall I have had a pleasant stay. The hotel is nice, the location is great, and everything has been fine apart from one very disappointing incident. After the room was cleaned, I noticed that my headphones had disappeared from my room. I had left them next to my bed, and I never expected that something like this could happen in a four-star hotel. I immediately spoke to the manager, but unfortunately, the only solution offered to me was a key to the safe for two days. I was very upset and disappointed because I have travelled all over the world and have never experienced anything like this before. For me, this is not about the value of the headphones, but about trust and feeling safe in my room. I believe guests should be able to leave their personal belongings in their room without worrying that something might disappear. I would therefore strongly recommend that future guests keep everything in the safe — even personal items such as expensive perfumes or headphones. Apart from this incident, I have enjoyed the hotel. However, unfortunately, this experience has affected my overall impression and left me very disappointed.

Beautiful hotel, great team running the place, ideal location just a few steps from the beach, and an absolute bargain price. We had a very nice room looking out directly at the Mediterranean Sea. Breakfast is quite good with a large variety of items. The place is spotlessly clean and well maintained. Still, the main feature of this hotel is that it's right in the middle of Carihuela Beach and a bargain price. Plus, hyatt program members enjoy all their status benefits. Highly recommended!

Superb hotel, spotless, friendly professional staff, great atmosphere and so close to the beach. It was perfect for us. Breakfast was lovely, we ate out each evening so we can't comment on dinner but I'm sure like everything else it would have been great. Adrian in particular could not have been more friendly, helpful and nice to us. Once he realised I drank gluten free beer he had more stock straight into the fridge ready for me. The loveliest, friendliest man. He made us so welcome. Thank you Adrian and colleagues, we couldn't have asked for a nicer stay. Best wishes Claire & Ryan from Ireland 🙂 🙂

The hotel has a very nice environment. It’s very close to the beach and also conveniently located not far from the airport. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and there is a good variety of food to choose from. The swimming pool is not very big, but it is very clean and well maintained. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and I would definitely consider coming back.

Lovely & clean. Very friendly, helpful staff. Great location. We didn’t expect to have our room cleaned & fresh towels every day, so that was really nice. The food in the downstairs cafe bar was delicious. I’d definitely stay again and would highly recommend.

Perfect location, one minute to the beach and right at the bottom of the steps through the shopping area, lovely clean and comfy rooms, lovely friendly helpful staff, we were able to leave our bags securely on our last day while we went out and about after check out, we also borrowed some beach towels at no extra cost, the restraunt and bar offered a good selection and good quality food and drinks, highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to return

What a little gem. I booked last minute and was a bit sceptical, but I was so pleasantly surprised. The location is great, tucked away but still convenient. The rooms are nicely spaced, with proper air conditioning, and the beds are genuinely really comfortable really great mattress that I’m gonna buy one when I get home! Hats off to Alberto ❤️ so welcoming and lovely, he really made our stay. I was also a bit unsure about the café on the ground floor at first, but it turned out to be excellent: brilliant breakfasts, great coffee, and good-value food. All in all, it felt like a little haven away from the craziness of Torremolinos. They made our stay fantastic, and I’ll definitely return!

Wonderful stylish little hotel, very clean, good sized rooms, great shower, kettle if you fancy a cuppa, comfortable beds. Very quiet location 2 min walk from the beach with its many bars and restaurants, but also very near the town centre, with two lifts nearby if you don't want to take the steps/steep hill. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Everyone works super hard. Thank you for making our stay fantastic 🙂 xx Lots of love from a very happy girl gang.

My wife, our children, and I had a wonderful vacation at the Blue Sea Hotel. The hotel offers fantastic facilities for children, who absolutely enjoyed every moment of our stay. We would especially like to thank the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff who made our holiday even more pleasant. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful family holiday at this hotel, and the animation team was by far the highlight of our stay. They made every day fun, engaging, and full of great memories for both adults and children. A very special mention to Daniela, she is truly delightful, full of energy, and incredibly sweet. My children absolutely adored her and left the hotel completely in love with her. Thank you for making our family trip unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back.

We just returned yesterday after 1week all inclusive, hotel and food amazing . Only downfall that puts us of returning is that it didnt cater for English people , entertainment all in Spanish we were not even asked to join in activities or entertainment at night .if ur English I wouldnt bother going we felt very left out. Most staff ok but bar staff were quite rude serving Spanish 1st before us even though we where in queue. Also for all inclusive u pay 1euro for plastic cup that wouldnt even hold a pint so continuously having to go back to bar, queues at night dreadful not enough staff on . We where disappointed as the hotel was lovely and spotless.

BlueSea Andalus has clearly treated itself to a makeover, and honestly, good for them — it shows. The newly renovated downstairs lounge and bedrooms feel bright, calm and genuinely comfortable, the sort of place where you walk in and immediately think 'this will be do nicely'. The coloured cushions and soft carpets add a warm, beach‑holiday glow, and everything is impressively clean. We stayed for a long weekend, and the location is spot‑on: a quick wander to the beach promenade, close to all the essentials, and with easy links into Torremolinos centre. Ideal for anyone who likes to be near the action but not in the action. Now, food. Let’s set the record straight: dinners were actually very nice — a good mix, tasty, and we were always happy heading back up to the room afterwards. Breakfast, however, was more on the “functional” side. Not bad, just… limited. The kind of breakfast that says, “I’ll get you started, but you may want a mid‑morning pastry later.” The only real gripe? The WiFi. It works, but only if you stand in the right spot like you’re trying to tune an old radio. A little more coverage around the hotel would go a long way. Overall, though, it’s a lovely, comfortable base with an inviting pool and bar area space, close to peaceful gardens and greenery if you have the zest to relax.

Essential Tips for Choosing Your Stay

Selecting the right base near La Carihuela requires a bit of strategy. The neighborhood is compact, but the character of the streets changes quickly as you move away from the sand. These practical considerations will help you avoid common pitfalls and ensure your accommodation matches your expectations for a relaxing Costa del Sol holiday.

Prioritize the Paseo Marítimo for Convenience
If your main goal is beach time, look for hotels located directly on the Paseo Marítimo (the beachfront promenade). This allows you to walk from your room to the sand in under a minute without crossing busy roads. It is particularly valuable for families with young children or anyone with mobility issues.

Check the "Sea View" Details Carefully
Not all sea views are created equal. A "lateral sea view" often means you need to lean over your balcony to glimpse the water. Before booking, read recent guest reviews and look at photos from the balcony to see if the view is frontal and unobstructed, or if you are looking over a parking lot with the sea in the distance.

Plan for Parking Before You Arrive
Driving in La Carihuela can be stressful due to narrow, one-way streets and limited public parking. If you plan to rent a car, ensure your hotel offers on-site parking and reserve a spot in advance. Otherwise, you may find yourself circling the block for an hour during peak season.

Consider the Half-Board vs. Local Dining Dilemma
While many hotels offer half-board options, the local restaurant scene in La Carihuela is one of the best in Torremolinos. Unless you are on a very strict budget, consider booking "Bed and Breakfast" only. This gives you the freedom to explore the beachfront chiringuitos and back-street tapas bars for dinner rather than being tied to a hotel buffet.

Look for Rooftop Pools and Sun Terraces
Because the beach can get crowded in July and August, a hotel with a good rooftop pool or sun terrace is a massive advantage. It offers a quieter alternative to the sand and often provides panoramic views of the Mediterranean. Check if the pool is heated if you are traveling in the shoulder seasons (April or October).

Be Aware of Nightlife Noise
La Carihuela is generally quieter than central Torremolinos, but the promenade can still be lively late into the night. If you are a light sleeper, request a room on a higher floor or facing away from the main street. Hotels located at the Benalmádena Marina end of the beach tend to have a slightly more upscale and quieter atmosphere.

The magic of La Carihuela lies in its ability to feel like a traditional Spanish fishing village while offering all the comforts of a modern resort. Choosing the right hotel ensures you spend less time worrying about logistics and more time enjoying the sun, sand, and spectacular seafood.

Whether you are visiting for a long weekend or an extended winter break, staying near this iconic beach places you in the heart of the Costa del Sol’s charm. With the right preparation, your trip to La Carihuela will be a seamless blend of relaxation and authentic Andalusian culture.
