15 Best Pizza Spots in Nice

In the sun-drenched capital of the French Riviera, the quest for the perfect slice is a serious culinary pursuit. While Nice is globally celebrated for its Niçoise salad, socca, and Provençal stews, a vibrant and competitive pizza scene has been bubbling beneath the surface for years.

Driven by a blend of Italian heritage, proximity to the border, and a demand for high-quality fast food, the city offers a remarkable variety of styles. From authentic Neapolitan pies with blistered crusts to thin, crispy Roman-style rectangles, Nice caters to every pizza purist.

The local dining culture values fresh, seasonal ingredients, a principle that translates directly to the toppings found on the city’s best pizzas. Whether you are seeking a luxurious truffle-topped creation or a simple, perfectly executed Margherita, you will find it within the city’s vibrant neighborhoods.

However, with so many options available, separating the tourist traps from the true artisan institutions can be challenging. A great pizza in Nice isn’t just about the dough and cheese; it is about the atmosphere, the service, and the authenticity of the recipe. We have done the heavy lifting—and the heavy eating—to curate a list of the most essential addresses.

This guide focuses on spots that consistently deliver exceptional quality, use high-grade flour and tomatoes, and respect the craft of pizza-making. You will find a mix of trendy modern eateries, family-run institutions, and hidden gems frequented by locals. Whether you are dining in the Old Town or near the Port, this list ensures you won’t waste a meal on a mediocre pie.

Before we dive into the specific restaurants, it is worth noting that dining times in Nice can be rigid. Many of the best spots open strictly for lunch and dinner service, and reservations are highly recommended, especially during the summer season. Additionally, while takeaway is common, eating a pizza fresh out of the wood-fired oven on-site is always the superior experience.

Without further ado, here are the standout establishments that define the pizza landscape in Nice right now.

Great pizza spot in old town, good prices and authentic Italian vibes and flavours. All pizzas come as a heart shape and there’s plenty of choice. Non alcoholic mojito were very good as well. Will get super busy around dinner time so expect a small queue.
shrinidhi navale★★★★★
The best pizza I have had so far! The truffle pizza is amazing 😍. What makes the food more special is the kind and lively attitude of the staff. The tiramisu was equally delicious! We came here twice while we were in Nice. I would recommend this to anyone who loved Neapolitan pizza. There are ample vegetarian and non vegetarian options. We were able to ask no meat on the pizzas
Lera Anatolievna★★★★★
This is the best place in Nice! It serves the most delicious pizza I have ever had in my life. I have never doubted Italian cuisine, but your restaurant truly exceeded all my expectations. The service was warm, friendly, and professional. The tiramisu was absolutely outstanding and one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality. I will definitely come back and highly recommend this place to everyone visiting Nice!
Sean Higgins★★★★★
Bellissimo! The best pizza I have ever eaten and I ate the whole thing. Most fresh ingredients made such a difference. The service was amazing and they were very busy! I cannot recommend this place enough! (I got the signature pizza Les Amoureux)
Emily Bergstrom★★★★★
We love this place so much. We came 4 years ago visiting from the US, and are back at their new location in 2026. By far the most hospitable service we have received in all of France! The food is fast, delicious, and FRESH! Take time to learn about the history of the restaurant and you will not be disappointed

Milena was such an attentive server got is everything we needed such quickly fast service too! Clearly a popular spot as there was a line when we left! Definitely top 10 pizzas I’ve ever had. Calabrian and Margherita pizzas with spicy arancini to start! Cocktails were also reasonably priced and delish
Cameron Cockburn★★★★★
Pizzas are absolutely delicious we got the French Riviera and the Calabria which were both amazing. The dough is incredible its so soft it literally melts in your mouth! We arrived as they opened at 7pm and luckily got a table but had to be gone by 8:30pm. Service was good but its clear they want to turn over tables as much as they can. The location is lovely right next to a cute street of bars and right by the port!
shiyi liu★★★★★
Really good pizza with friendly service. We had the Mediterranean and Inferno pizza, both were excellent. The dough was perfectly cooked, fluffy with well-baked edges, and the sauces were distinctive; the Mediterranean pizza with tuna was a pleasant surprise. The affogato was outstanding. Overall, definitely worth a visit! They are better than some places which are in the top world pizza list! Reservation required.
Johan Westerberg★★★★★
Probably the best pizza we’ve ever had. Many different ones to choose from. All six pizzas we tried were great. The crust itself was also outstanding! During our four evenings in Nice so far, we’ve spent three of those at this restaurant. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Mackenzie Shelgren★★★★★
Our first night in Nice could not have started better at Prima Volta. From the moment we sat down, Sebastian made us feel so welcomed, attentive, friendly, and incredibly patient as we attempted to improve our French throughout the evening. The pizza was phenomenal: fresh ingredients, perfect crust, and exactly the kind of meal you dream about having on your honeymoon in the South of France. We even ended the night sharing a little limoncello and laughing over our French pronunciations. Great food creates memories, but exceptional service creates experiences, and this place gave us both. Thank you for making our first night in Nice one we’ll never forget.

The pizza’s were super delicious!! They were so watery and tasty. The only problem was that they didn’t let us order 1 pizza and share. But the staff were soo nice. I was talking with my mom outside of the pizzeria and one worker got out just to inform me that my pizza was ready. It was so sweet 🥹.
Harris Patel★★★★★
Authentic Italian restaurant with amazing pizza made from real Italian products. Great vibes, delicious food, and a must-try spot. Outdoor seating is highly recommended!

The best pizza in nizza! The waiters were very friendly and the atmosphere was nice. It’s also very affordable. We would recommend.

The Margherita pizza was really good, definitely a place to visit when you’re in Nice. The only downside was that they didn’t let us share one pizza between two people, so just keep that in mind before you go.
Jumbles J★★★★★
Absolutely AMAZING pizza! So so so tasty and the service was perfection. We were in Milan a few weeks ago and the pizza was nowhere as good as this. A small and intimate restaurant but very authentic. Highly recommended and good prices.

The pizza was average, they gave me an expired soft drink and i did not complain about it because the guy was very kind at first. When i went to pay he asked me if i want a receipt and i refused, he charged me €16 for a cannibele pizza and 1 orangina soft drink that was supposed to be €12.50 in total, when i asked him he said rudely that because i eat there. So €3.50 for one seat? Wow!
Percival Montgomery★★★★★
The place where I ate one of the best pizzas in Nice I highly recommend it, I’m going back again.
Philippe Arena★★★★★
Products used are high quality from the bread till the ham on top of the pizza. The tomato sauce is very tasty by itself. The taste of the 3 different pizzas I could try was subtle, very well balanced, simply very tasty! Definitely one of the best pizzas I ate recently.
Sarah★★★★★
We got there early in the evening so it was quiet but there was still a warm atmosphere and the hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Pizza was delicious! Toppings full of flavour and a really decent base. Ate the whole plate which is unusual for me! Also had a very nice glass of wine and could tell they had chosen their wine selection carefully. Trés bien!
Scott Johnson★★★★★
As always, this place always provides the best pizza we have ever had. We will be back again soon!

An amazing Italian gem in the heart of Nice. The waitresses were courteous & swift & made you feel at home with their true Italian hospitality. The pizza was just delicious (very thin & bursting with taste), but you must leave room for the amazing desserts & espresso. Deliziosa e autentica cucina italiana!
Вова Минервин★★★★★
The best pizza in Nice in a tradional Italian way, 20 varieties and a really good service from Mateo 🙏🏻 The desserts are really good as well 😋 I wish all the best to the owner, and the team 😇
Steven Hart★★★★★
First night in Nice and looking for something easy after a long day of travel. Very nice family run Italian restaurant. Everything was great and the pizza was just like we had in Naples.
Serena Canjani★★★★★
The pizza here is a must-try! The dough was the star of the show, remarkably light and airy, making every bite a pleasure. The tomato sauce was fresh and flavorful, and the staff provided excellent service—they were all incredibly kind and attentive. The welcoming atmosphere made everything even better. Highly recommend!
Chona Hodges★★★★★
Best Neapolitan pizza in the area! The ingredients are so fresh and high quality. The Frittatina and Eggplant Parmigiana were standout starters.

Inna Stepanova★★★★★
The best pizza in the area, and somehow also the cheapest. Everything stands out: the crust, the sauce, all the ingredients are clearly quality, and the portions are genuinely generous. The prosciutto in particular caught us off guard — thick, abundant, the kind you rarely see on a pizza. We're used to ordering two pizzas between the two of us, but here, one is honestly enough. Highly recommend to anyone in Nice looking for an authentic, satisfying pizza without paying tourist prices for it.
Marika Szymko★★★★★
Truly Italian vibe welcoming you is just what you need when having a take away evening. Best pizza we had in Nice, grazie mille!!!🇮🇹🍕
M S★★★★★
Great pizza! Went there twice during my weeklong stay, because it was THAT good! Just be aware that you’ll probably have to wait a bit, because Francesco is a one man show - but well worth it! And since you’re probably on holiday you won’t be in a hurry anyway 😉 Looking forward to my next pizza at Francescos 🍕
Jacem Hagui★★★★★
Literally the best pizza in Nice. He actually has the rewards and I think they are well earned. Just get your authentic pizza and go enjoy it on the iconic blue chairs by the sea and looking at the hills by the sea on your left. Fantastic experience.

Simple snack bar. Offers pizza slices. Tastes quite good. But seems little bit expensive.

A perfect place for a small snack. The Pizza was amazing and the service extremely friendly. The price of the pizza depends on the size/weight. We paid for 3 large pieces 19€.

Insane in the membrane ... like what that other review said. Flavor explosion!! . We got the Chevre pizza. Price is the most affordable. The pizza was done in like 5 minute. Idk how they do it. Its too good to be true. And they open late. 15/10 stars.

My loooooord do these guys know what they're at! Insane in the membrane. The food here is off the charts, so tasty and so filling, and worth every last cent. The "Tchinko" (picture) slayed my whole life. ⭐⭐⭐♥️♥️♥️

I was shocked to find pizza that is this delicious in Nice, France 🇫🇷. This was a pleasant surprise that I stumbled upon by chance. The mussle pizza was so fresh and delicious! The also have a 4 cheese pizza which was great but also heavy! The pizza just melts in your mouth, and the best part about this is that you do not get that bloated feeling after eating this. Id definitely recommend this place for any pizza lover visiting the area.
Yuling Mensah★★★★★
Came here twice during our stay in Nice. Very good pizza, pasta & calamari! White wine mussels are so tasty! I preferred it's small size, full of flavor!!!
anthonysargi★★★★☆
Pizza Cresci is a must-visit if you’re in Nice! I tried the Margherita and Four Cheese pizzas, the Milanese chicken, gnocchi with Gorgonzola, and finished with both their classic tiramisu and the exotic tiramisu with mango and passion fruit. Everything was delicious, with generous portions that offer excellent value for the price. The pizzas had a great crust and quality ingredients, the gnocchi were rich and creamy, and the Milanese chicken was crispy on the outside while remaining tender inside. The desserts were the perfect way to end the meal, the classic tiramisu was light and creamy, while the exotic version with mango and passion fruit was a refreshing twist that I highly recommend trying. What impressed me the most was how efficient the service was. Even though the restaurant is almost always packed, the staff are well organized, friendly, and the food arrives surprisingly quickly. If you’re looking for authentic Italian food with generous portions, delicious desserts, and great value in Nice, it is definitely worth a visit.
Dr. Watson★★★☆☆
I picked this place cuz it had high rating, but unfortunately, it felt pretty overrated. The pizza was heavily loaded with cheese and quite greasy, which made it a bit too heavy. I was expecting more given all the great reviews. That said, the service was good and there was no wait, which was def a plus. Overall, not a bad experience, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.
Pattareeya T.★★★★☆
We stumbled upon this pizza place while exploring the area, and it turned out to be an incredible find. I had the best seafood pasta. High price but big potion. Wish I could have one more prawn instead of a pound of small calamari. Pizza was delicious. We sat outside the table are too close to others. But It's a must-visit spot for anyone in the area!

Absolutely amazing restaurant! The food was incredibly delicious — the carbonara pasta was out of this world, and the pizza was absolutely fantastic. We came back two nights in a row because we loved the food so much. The service was also exceptionally warm, friendly, and attentive. Highly recommend this place!

This small pizza place is located on a quiet side street and wasn’t very crowded when we visited, which actually made the experience even more pleasant. It seems to be mainly a takeaway spot, but there are also a few tables inside if you want to eat there. They offer the usual classics like Margherita and Pepperoni, but also have several house specialty pizzas. I tried one of their special pizzas and it was absolutely delicious. The ingredients tasted fresh and the flavor combination was great. Overall, it was a very nice surprise, and the high rating they have is definitely well deserved.
Wiktoria Strozik★★★★★
Deserves more than 5 stars - the best pizza I ever had. Milo pizza is excellent! 🙏
Miguel Rodriguez★★☆☆☆
The pizza was decent, but the dough lacked flavor and there wasn't nearly enough tomato sauce. More importantly, the menu prices are misleading; the board stated €13 for a pepperoni pizza, but I was charged €15. I'm not sure if the menu is just outdated or if I was overcharged as a tourist, but the lack of price transparency was disappointing. Oder included a pepperoni pizza and a Coke Zero and charged a total of €17.50 when it should have been €15.50. They conveniently also didn’t give a receipt.
Swathi D★★★★★
Had a great experience at Doma Pizza. The pizza was fresh, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients. They also have home made desserts like Tiramisu. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick. A lovely place for a cosy casual meal in Nice. Would definitely recommend for pizza lovers! 🍕😊

Lovely buzzy street corner pizza takeaway. The service was lovely - you could tell the chap really cared. He even put pineapple on our vegetarian pizza! The pizza was cooked to perfection and the dough was lovely. All the toppings were beautifully cooked and you could tell the dough and all the ingredients were made/selected with love! Would definitely recommend and will be going back! Thank you!
Roy S.★★★☆☆
I dont want to say anything bad, because the new owners are very friendly. But reality is that most the reviews here are for another pizzeria with the same name in the same place. This used to be a really good napolitan style pizza. Now its more like french pizza. If thats your thing you should give it a try! But for me it doesnt come anywhere close to the pizzas from before. They shouldve renamed it aswell and start clean if they werent going to even try make a similar pizza. And theres even a Hawaiiene on the menu.

Delicious pizza!!! Service was great and quick! The food was incredible! 💛 We ordered a Reine pizza and an Italia. The Reine came with mushrooms and ham. The Italia had fresh buffalo mozzarella on it! Amazing.

It was sooo good! I mean everything! We ordered different pizzas and each one was so special and tasty. The desserts were mind-blowing (tiramisu and baba al rum 🤤) The atmosphere is very modern, and the guy who served us was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He works here on his own and somehow manages to cook delicious food while providing excellent service at the same time. We were really impressed! Highly recommended!

Really enjoyed the meal here, the food was fantastic! Everything tasted great. My only small piece of feedback is that the crust could be a little bit thicker to hold up the toppings better. Definitely worth a visit!

My husband and I were walking past this truck by chance and decided to stop because it was one of the few places open at 21h on a Sunday night. We were pleasantly surprised by the owner’s kindness and eagerness to tell us about the ingredients, which are fresh and he even uses bio eggs. This is by far the best pizza we have had in Nice and we’ll be making this our regular spot for pizza!

The chef is giving amazing vibes. The pizzas are just impeccable. Crispy thin dough, fresh toppings, quality cheese, man, with your beautiful truck, you make by far better than all these big restaurants where food is blend. The best pizza I’ve ever had is right there at Pizza Mucho. A gem 💎

Walking back from Old Town to my hotel near the station, came to this restaurant after looking at reviews of a few nearby places in the area, and I was not disappointed with my choice! Friendly service, (despite French not being my native tongue), very tasty Diavola pizza and the tiramisu was delicious and light! Nicely decorated area inside, and the chef was a nice fellow too. Would recommend, and would return if I came to Nice again. Reasonable prices.

This restaurant is a little bit off the beaten path but worth the 5 minute diversion. The lady who greeted us who was also the server is lovely . No rush here , patrons seemed to come and go , the room was rather brightly lit but that’s did t take away at all from the delicious food and reasonably priced drinks . The pizza is delicious here , fresh , cooked to perfection , lots of varieties . Rating among the best pizza we have had in Nice over the last several years . Patrons around us remarked at the gnocchi as well is delicious ! We will definitely come back and try different menu items!

A cosy restaurant between Massena and Garibaldi. Very nice food with amazing service. Pizzas are really great, the bread is perfect and ingredients as well. You notice that the owner value their costumers. The venue is also very nicely decorated. We have been here before and come back because of these reasons. You will not be disappointed.

Pizza Diabola - delicious, not too spicy, thin tasty dough with a good combination of salami, red onion and a mix of sweet peppers. Also the bread sticks are surprisly good, soft and sprinkled with herbs. Salmon salad I would not order the second time, salad leaves are fresh, but too much souse, slides of carrot does not give any benefit to the taste, fried salmon is simply fried with no any herbs/spices. Space freshly renovated but looks like a little unfinished, i hope they will add some cuisons on the benches.

Essential Tips for Enjoying Pizza in Nice

To make the most of your culinary adventure, it helps to understand the local nuances of dining out in this bustling Mediterranean city. The French approach to restaurant culture is slightly different from that of Italy or the United States, and knowing what to expect will ensure a seamless and enjoyable meal.

From timing your visit to understanding the menu structure, these insights will help you navigate the pizza scene like a seasoned local rather than a confused tourist.

1). Book ahead for dinner

The most popular pizza spots in Nice, particularly those in the Old Town or near the Promenade, fill up incredibly fast after 7:30 PM. Walking in without a reservation on a Friday or Saturday night often results in a long wait or disappointment. A quick phone call or online booking earlier in the day is almost always worth the effort.

2). Check the opening hours

Unlike some major capitals, Nice respects the “pause” of the afternoon. Many high-quality independent pizzerias close between 2:30 PM and 7:00 PM to prepare for the evening service. Do not assume you can grab a late lunch at 4:00 PM; plan your meals around the standard French dining windows of 12:00 PM–2:00 PM and 7:00 PM–10:30 PM.

3). Look for the wood-fired oven

While electric ovens can produce decent results, the specific char and texture of an elite pizza come from high heat and wood smoke. The best addresses on this list pride themselves on their imported Italian ovens. If you can see the fire, you are likely in the right place.

4). Embrace the “Pizze Bianche”

Many visitors stick to tomato-based sauces, but the white pizzas (without tomato) in Nice are exceptional. Thanks to the proximity to the Alps and Italy, chefs have access to incredible creams, cheeses, and cured meats. Trying a white base pizza with local mushrooms or truffle cream offers a different perspective on the chef’s skill.

5). Understand the service rhythm

Service in France is generally slower and more deliberate than in North America. The staff will not rush you; the meal is meant to be an event. To get the bill, you will usually need to ask for it (“L’addition, s’il vous plaît”), as servers consider it rude to drop the check before you are ready to leave.

The diversity of the pizza scene in Nice means there is truly something for every palate and budget. From the high-energy buzz of a Neapolitan hotspot to the quiet romance of a hidden terrace, the city allows you to experience the best of Italian cuisine with a distinctly French Riviera flair. It is a testament to the enduring culinary connection between the Ligurian coast and the Côte d’Azur.

Ultimately, the best pizza is the one that matches your current mood. Whether you opt for a classic Marinara to test the chef’s fundamentals or go bold with a gourmet local special, you can rest assured that Nice takes its dough very seriously. Bon appétit.
