15 Best Hotels in Valencia Near the City Centre

Finding the right base for a city break can shape your entire experience, especially in a destination as vibrant and walkable as Valencia. Staying near the city centre places you at the heart of the action, where historic architecture, bustling plazas, and the tantalizing aromas of authentic paella are just steps from your door. It eliminates the need for lengthy commutes and allows you to soak up the Mediterranean atmosphere from the moment you wake up.

Valencia’s central districts, including the historic Ciutat Vella (Old Town) and the elegant Ensanche, offer a diverse range of accommodation to suit every travel style. Whether you are searching for a luxurious five-star retreat housed in a historic landmark or a sleek, modern boutique hotel with rooftop views, the core of the city has something to offer. The key is finding a property that balances location with the specific amenities that matter most to you.

Choosing a hotel in the heart of Valencia means more than just convenience; it means immersing yourself in the local lifestyle. You can wander through the narrow streets of the Barrio del Carmen, admire the futuristic architecture of the City of Arts and Sciences, or shop along Calle Colón, all without venturing far from your bed. For first-time visitors, staying central ensures you maximize your time experiencing the sights rather than navigating public transport.

However, the term "city centre" can encompass a wide radius, and not all hotels are created equal in terms of noise levels, accessibility, and character. Some travelers prioritize being directly on the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, while others prefer the quieter, artistic corners near the Turia Gardens. Understanding the subtle differences in these micro-neighborhoods is the first step to planning a seamless trip.

Our curated selection focuses on properties that consistently deliver exceptional service, comfort, and value, all while keeping you within walking distance of Valencia’s most iconic landmarks. We have analyzed guest reviews, evaluated location scores, and considered the unique selling points of each property to bring you a list that cuts through the noise. From historic charm to contemporary design, these are the places that truly understand hospitality.

We recognize that every traveler has a different budget and set of expectations. Perhaps you are a solo adventurer looking for a secure and social environment, or a couple seeking a romantic getaway with spa facilities. Maybe you are a family requiring spacious rooms and easy access to attractions like the Oceanogràfic. This list is designed to reflect that diversity, ensuring you find a hotel that feels tailor-made for your needs.

Below, you will find a comprehensive guide to the best hotels in Valencia near the city centre, categorized by their unique strengths. Whether you are planning a weekend escape or a longer cultural immersion, these properties provide the perfect launchpad for discovering all that Spain’s third-largest city has to offer.

We picked this place because it was a good price and a relatively short walk (12 min) from the Joaquin Soralla train station in Valencia, in a nice neighborhood near the center. The staff were very friendly and gave us good recommendations on places to eat and shop nearby. The bed was very comfortable .. perfect for recovery from international travel. They even contacted us after we left behind an airplane gift toiletries bag to see if we wanted it.. very responsible. Highly recommend.

The staff at the reception were very helpful and friendly. Our room was very clean, and the bed was large and comfy. The street is quite calm so we slept well even though our window was towards the street. The location of the hotel is good: central enough to allow walking to the old town and to the trendy Russafa area. All in all great price-quality ratio.
Gareth Crossley★★★★★
Great place. Small-ish room but very adequate, very clean and modern. Excellent price. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a short stay in Valencia. Location not an issue if you are travelling across Valencia sightseeing as you can't be ideally located for everything. Public transport was great to get about.

We stayed 6 days and everything was perfect. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room and the bathroom were always clean, very quiet place. The hotel is 20 mins away from the Old Centre and even nearer from the bus stations (there is one bus - 11, that leaves you in front of the hotel, but it is only during the working days). We chose the breakfast as well, which was more than enough for each of us - very good.

What a lovely place to stay. I cannot fault this hotel, staff were friendly, attentive and so helpful! Room was lovely, clean and the location is perfect for exploring the city. We went out one evening when it was raining and the reception staff insisted on finding us umbrellas before we left, they went above and beyond to be helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay 😊

We initially chose this hotel for location close to a sporting event. We checked in late at night and staff were helpful. I thought all rooms were the same, however there are apparently upgrade rooms on the top floor with balcony and better views. I was very disappointed as an Accor Gold member the upgrade room was not offered on check in. An upgrade room was available as a friend checked in immediately after and was offered the upgrade. If not for this disappointment, I would have given 5 stars for service. Star staff member was definitely Antonio, who was very friendly and helpful - Antionio changed rooms for us straight away when we asked about getting the non functioning air-conditioning in our room fixed. He also assisted late at night with towels and bathmat when we discovered them missing from the room after cleaning. Ibis budget is the most basic of the Accor range, but this hotel is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. No safe in room, no Tea/coffee in room, no mini fridge in case these things are important for you. Breakfast was included, and it was tasty and nutritious. The only downsides includes there is only one lift and it's incredibly slow; we took to the stairs many times and the air-conditioning resets when leaving the room, unless you can leave a card in the slot (only works with the Accor card, not any other same sized card), and you need to remember to turn it back on when returning, otherwise after 10 minutes you'll be feeling the heat. TV reception is good, although there are no English stations. Overall, we were happy with our stay.

I spent 4 nights at this hotel and overall it was a very good experience. Rooms were cleaned daily with new towels and bed made. I also thought the room design was effective at making use of the little space. A mini fridge would’ve been appreciated though. The bathroom was more than adequate for a budget hotel. Service was friendly with staff always greeting you as you entered and left. A great location too, ideally placed between Turia, the beach and within walkable distance of the metro station and high street for easy commute into the centro. Only negative to really say is I think the price is a bit steep for a budget hotel. I would definitely stay again.
London Traveller★★★★★
This hotel did everything it was supposed to for a 2 night stay. I think anyone who thinks differently should remember the word “budget” that’s in the title. It’s certainly no-frills but it was absolutely fine for us. Location wasn’t fantastically convenient but there’s a bus stop right outside that connects you to downtown and the metro. Must mention Antonio on the front desk who was a star for all his help and suggestions.
Kamil Breczko★★★★★
Very pleasant stay. The hotel is clean, well located, and offers comfortable conditions. Special thanks to Antonio and Olimpia for their kindness, professionalism, and helpfulness throughout our stay. They made the atmosphere especially welcoming. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Amazing Hotel, neat and tidy rooms and a very convenient location.. Bus top right outside the hotel and Metro Station also not far. Loved the breakfast. Major plus for this Hotel is its staff. Friendly, helpful and always smiling 😊 . I had to checkout a day early due to flights disruption in Middle East, the front desk staff not only processed my 1 day stay refund , they even followed up with the booking agent till the time i got my refund. Kudos to the Hotel Staff 🙌, I ll surely stay at same property again, highly recommended 👌

We had a long weekend in Valencia and enjoyed our three nights stay in Vincci Mercat very much. Seldom do you feel so warmly welcomed to a new hotel in a new destination. All the staff at the reception were exceptionally nice and professional and we got a lovely welcome surprise in our room from Guest experience manager Nuria. The breakfast was good, well stocked with different options and the personnel took good care that there was enough to choose from all the time. It was almost too easy to stuff yourself with the delicious options 🙂 The pool are is very small, but suitable for a city hotel, good for a dip in a hot day, and the staff and service on the rooftop was also great. We want to recommend this hotel in the city center, easy access to the heart of the city with restaurants, bars, shops and more. Thank you all for making our stay really memorable. We'll be back.
Shaun Jenkins★★★★★
We had service issues at a hotel in Valencia so needed to find another hotel quickly and Vincci Merkat stood head and shoulders above anything else. When we arrived we were greeted by 2 wonderful receptionists who provided us with a lovely smile and warm welcome, a far cry from what we previously experienced! The hotel is in a perfect spot for you to visit the old town, the market is just 5 minutes away! But it is also situated in a location where you can also wonder into the more modern shopping district - the best of both worlds! Every member of staff went over and above to make our stay so very special. The rooms were lovely with comfortable beds, a well thought out bathroom with a rainfall shower with the option of a hand held shower and his and hers sinks! After a day of touring you’ll also appreciate a cool dip in the roof top pool and a glass of something cold from the bar. We will return to Valencia again as there’s so much to do and Vincci Merkat will be the place we stay, not just because of the location, the beautiful rooms, great rooftop pool & bar but because the staff are more like caring friends who want to make your stay the best they can!

Amazing stay in this hotel!!! Our flight got delayed and staff member/manager messaged us and stayed in touch to make sure our room was ready and available straight away on our arrival the next day. All staff members were very friendly, polite and helpful. The room was clean, spacious, with a massive comfortable double bed. Bathroom was also very big and stylish. Great location of the hotel as well with walkable distances to all attractions. We loved our stay from the minute we arrived until we left. We are very pleased and would definitely go back and recommend this hotel. Thank you! 😊

Our family had a great stay at this hotel in February this year. The location is in the centre of the old city, with easy access to public transport and all the highlights of the city. The staff were exceptionally helpful, including the breakfast staff. The ladies at reception are extremely knowledgeable - there was no need to visit the Tourist Office! The rooms were clean with luxury toiletries and modern showers. The breakfasts offered a very wide choice of fresh dishes. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Martin Critcher★★★★★
Just returned from a 5 night stay in the Vincci Mercat and was thoroughly impressed. This is a stylish and well appointed hotel situated in the of old town Valencia. It’s within easy walking distance of all the main attractions and many bars and restaurants. All the hotel staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a great hotel in a great location in the heart of old town Valencia do not look any where else.

Overall, we had a decent stay at Hotel Turia Valencia. Pros: The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast offered a great variety of fresh and tasty options. The location is convenient for visiting the Old Town, although it is about a 20-minute walk, which can feel quite long in Valencia’s summer heat. The hotel is also next to the main bus station, which can be very convenient for travellers, and there is a metro station and a shopping centre nearby. Cons: The area around the bus station felt a bit uncomfortable in the evenings, with some people loitering nearby, so we didn’t always feel completely comfortable walking around the hotel after dark. The biggest downside was the lack of a refrigerator in the room. During our stay, temperatures reached 38°C, so any drinks became warm very quickly, making it impossible to keep anything cold. The air conditioning could also be improved. It felt more like a fan than proper air conditioning, as we could only adjust the fan speed and not the temperature, so the room never became as cool as we expected. The balcony was extremely small, with not even enough space for a chair and for two people to enjoy sitting outside. The soundproofing was also poor. We could hear toilets flushing in neighbouring rooms, conversations, and even our neighbour using an electric shaver every morning, which affected our sleep. Overall, the hotel has some positive aspects, especially the spacious, clean rooms and the breakfast, but improving the soundproofing, installing mini fridges, and upgrading the air conditioning would significantly enhance the guest experience.

A solid 4 star hotel. Spacious rooms with basic supplies for everyday needs. Didn’t had a chance to photo the rooms, but it is what it is on the photos. I didn’t quite like the price vs location factor. They charged 250 Euros, whereas there are much better priced hotels in city centre (we had fire evacuation nearby Valencia city and had to book this hotel asap). The views from hotel didn’t live up to expectations and money, too. My room had an issue with conditioning- it worked, but couldn’t cool the temperature. I liked their service, the staff were attentive. Their breakfast is also tasty, represented by a slightly more variety of food, than the hotel we stayed before. But their orange juice machine is the bestselling product at site. All in all, a positive experience with an overpriced stay.
RaNDa ELAwady★★☆☆☆
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves one. The hotel itself is good. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the price is reasonable. Unfortunately, customer service completely ruined my stay. I arrived around 11:00 AM and fully understood that check-in was subject to availability. However, I ended up waiting approximately 5 hours. During that time, guests who arrived much later than me were accommodated before me, while I received no clear communication or consideration. What was even more disappointing was the attitude of the reception staff. When I politely asked for their names, I was told that it was “none of my business.” I have traveled extensively and stayed in many hotels around the world, and I have never experienced such an unprofessional response. In most hotels, staff members wear name tags and are accountable for how they treat guests. My stay was only for one night, and losing most of my day waiting because of poor communication and unprofessional behavior was extremely frustrating. A hotel is not only about clean rooms and good prices. Respect, professionalism, and customer service matter just as much. Sadly, despite the quality of the hotel itself, I would not choose to stay here again.
Daniel Elwell★★★★☆
Rooms a little dated - could do with modernising, but otherwise well maintained and very clean. In fact the rooms are actually quite large compared to comparable hotels. Staff friendly and helpful. Public areas of the hotel pleasant and much more modern than the rooms themselves. Good location - next to the Turia park and the metro. Air conditioning worked really well! I'd stay here again.

Hotel Turia in Valencia can be highly recommended. The hotel offers a very pleasant experience with comfortable rooms and a central location. The breakfast is particularly outstanding, with a wide selection of fresh and delicious products. A special thank you goes to the morning waiter, Randy, whose fantastic energy and high level of professionalism truly make a difference. His friendliness and dedication create a very positive start to the day and greatly enhance the overall experience. Didier et Wioletta Cassagneres

We had a superior room. They let us check in early which is a bonus point already. Hotel appears new or recently refurbished and we loved the decor throughout. Rooms were clean, and very effective Aircon. Bathroom was a good size and well equipped. The bar was very nice and we were in there every day. Fantastic hotel!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it. The location is excellent: a quiet, green neighborhood with plenty of cafés, a large shopping mall, supermarket, metro access, and a beautiful city beach just across the road. Unlike the busy city center, the area is peaceful and perfect for a relaxing vacation. The breakfast was outstanding, with fresh and delicious food, great coffee, and a wide variety of fruits. The rooftop pool and bar were a highlight of our stay, offering breathtaking views of the entire city. What impressed us most was the exceptional cleanliness. We have stayed in many hotels, but rarely have we seen such a high standard. The room and bathroom were spotless, everything was shining, and housekeeping kept everything perfect every day. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the minibar was especially convenient for grabbing cold water before heading to the beach. The staff were always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help with anything we needed. Overall, we were impressed by the comfort, cleanliness, service, amazing views, and peaceful atmosphere. A perfect place for a truly relaxing stay, and we would gladly return.

My son broke his pelvis 3 days before we were supposed to check in. I reached out to the hotel the day before once we realised that we would not make it in time to try to postpone our stay by a couple of days or cancel if we could not postpone. They outright said that there are no cancellations or modifications allowed, even with a medical certificate and scans showing his broken pelvis. I understand how policies work but having a little bit of humanity and understanding for a family in a difficult situation would be nice.
Agnieszka Wolska★★★☆☆
Great location but all the rest was quite disappointing. Rooms are super small and no wardrobe or space to hide your staff . There is no free water, tee in the room . Only overpriced drinks. Breakfast was good but service super slow and some days people were waiting in long line to have breakfast. Restaurant is ok to have dinner Pool on the roof is small but has warm water . But sauna was always cold even when we asked to heat it for the evening.
Parviz Hajiyev★★★★☆
The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Housekeeping did an excellent job throughout my stay. However, I was disappointed that there was no kettle, tea, or coffee provided in the room. When I asked the staff for a cup of tea, I was advised to go to a nearby market and buy it myself, which was not the level of service I expected from a hotel. Overall, a good stay, but the guest amenities and service could be improved.

As a solo traveler on a budget, this hotel has been an absolute lifesaver. The hotel is in the center of Valencia, so everything is close by. Service was amazing, I'd like to specifically mention Jose here. He's been incredibly helpful and very nice. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Booked at last minute and couldn’t have found a better hotel! Location was perfect with a walking distance to the old town and shopping district around the corner. They had a room available so upgraded me to a room with a balcony on the top floor which was one of the nicest I’ve stayed in with great views, especially for a 2* hotel. The breakfast had lots of options with great views overlooking the city. Room was modern and clean, and had good sound proof windows as it gets loud on the weekends in the evening but couldn’t hear a thing. It’s a shame there was no mini fridge but apart from that was great.
Mohammadhadi Mohtarami★★★★★
My family and I stayed at this hotel for one night during a very busy public holiday. They provided us with a spacious, private room well-suited for a family, complete with two bathrooms. The location is simply excellent. The only drawback is that during peak times, the wait for the elevator can be long and the corridors feel a bit narrow.
Mikko Tolvanen★★★★☆
Super friendly staff throughout our stay. We got room with Star Wars theme on 8th floor overlooking the square. Perfect location to get around the old town. Room was ok, good shower, plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Breakfast was ok, nice way to start the day. I would definitely stay again.
ROBERT B. CARMODY★★★☆☆
Great location. No frills hotel. Beds were not comfortable. Decor was kind of cheesey. Lots of street noise at night. It was still warm in Valencia, but hotel shuts off use of mini splits in November, so the only way to cool the room was with windows open, but that added to the street noise issue. We had a hard time getting room cleaned. If you aren't ready when they knocked, you were out of luck that day.

Very helpful and understanding staff. I was so sick on the first day and they kindly offered me healthy food out of their menu. They were so kind and helpful with keeping our luggages on the last day as well. The pool was a bit tinier than what i expected but the gym was decent. The location was perfect with the bus right in front of the hotel. Thank you Valencia
monette fennessey★★★☆☆
The hotel is nicely placed in the center of the city and placed around a lot of restaurants, coffee shops, shopping districts and even the beach which made travelling around Valencia easy. However, I was a little disappointed by the rooms and the service. Considering this is a 4/5 star hotel, I felt the rooms were quite average and not up to my expectations. Moreover, although there was a pool and a gym, I felt it was a little small, especially the pool, which was very disappointing considering my family of 4 came here and the 4 of us did not fit accordingly or comfortably in both facilities. Although, I felt the breakfast was nice and had a vast variety of selection. But overall, a good quality of services, just very limited in equipment and the sizing of them was just weird and uncomfortable. Lastly, my family and I had an occurring issue with the keycards for the rooms. Because we were new to the whole keycard system, it did become confusing and often needed a change. However, when we asked the staff for advice, I felt like the advice and quality of service could’ve been delivered better. Otherwise, everything else was fine. Overall, a nice hotel close to the hotels city center but it was not up to my expectations and I was a little disappointed. Recommended if you want to be near the city’s center.

Really friendly welcome. Efficient service and rooms are good. Booked as part of a package trip so difficult to judge value for money. Good location for the aquarium.

The hotel in a lovely safe and quiet area. Soundproof so didn't hear outside noises. Well laid out and staff very helpful . Nearby restaurants and shops. Buses nearby. Highly recommend

Good sized, clean and comfortable rooms. There is often free street parking available and a cab into Valencia and back works out cheaper for me than parking in town. The missing star is for the 'gym' and 'pool' which didn't use! I have only had bar food and room service, both of which were really good. Any problems, the friendly reception staff have sorted out quickly. All in all, its my favourite Valencia hotel.

We really had a great time at this hotel. The location is very comfortable, right in the centre and with a private underground parking. The rooms were clean and modern, the service was amazing. They even brought a free bottle to celebrate our birthday! Great care for the guests overall, I can only recommend!

Great hotel to stay in and visit Valencia. Perfect location with lots of tourist attractions in a walkable distance or Bolt/Uber ~€10; nice breakfast; great room service; cleanliness at a high level.
Marlene Matlombe★★☆☆☆
The hotel itself is good; however, the service is very poor. The cleaning staff forgot to replace the shower gel in the bathroom, and when we called reception to request some, we were told that we would have to wait until the next morning. This was very disappointing, as basic amenities should be available at any time. Therefore, I would not recommend staying at this hotel if you are looking for good customer service.
Yaroslav Reshetar★★★★★
Wonderful hotel in an excellent location. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was well organized, and the stay was very pleasant. We will definitely come back again. Highly recommended!
Christine★★★☆☆
Rooms generally as pictures on web, though room sizes of deluxe room can vary considerably. Double is really just two single beds put together. Parking is complicated with a screen shot of a parking barcode not always effective and the parking lot is very tight for any SUV etc. Location requires 10-15m walk to anything so might be better off in Old Town where atmosphere is a bit less edgy as this borders on Russafa. Ultimately let down by the service from the staff who are generally lazy and unhelpful.

Possibly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Rooms are big, very quiet, exceptionally clean with every facility you might need. The staff is extremely kind and will make you feel welcome and taken care of every second. Location is very convenient with bus stops right in front and underground in just a 10 minutes walk. Definitely recommended to make the most out of your Valencia trip!

Great stay at Nedt Style in Valencia. The hotel has a perfect location, making it easy to explore the city. The room was spacious and fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was delicious and offered a good variety. A special thanks to Martha for the excellent and friendly service, which made the experience even better. Highly recommended!

Such a great stay at Next Style Valencia! The location is a total win only 10 mins from the metro (which is a direct line from the airport!) and a nice 20-min stroll into the city center. 🚶‍♂️ One of my/our favorite things was the 25-minute walk to the Oceanografic; you go right through Turia Park and past the famous Gulliver, it's a beautiful route! 🌳 The rooms were huge, and the breakfast had a great variety of tasty options.

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience staying at Nest Style Valencia Hotel. My room had a very strong sewage smell that disrupted my sleep for the 3 nights I stayed there. The smell came from the bathroom drainage and any attempts from me or the staff did not succeed in removing it. The staff tried to help by pooring some chemicals in the drainage but this happened only once and the smell did not go away. When I asked for assignment of a different room at their hotel or another hotel, I received the typical answer "sorry we cannot do that". When I asked for refund, I also got the answer "sorry we cannot do that". So yeah, I slept in a stinky room for the whole duration of my stay. Also, when I asked to talk to the managers, i was faced with another typical answer "sorry we cannot do that". I am sorry but with this kind of hospitality and greediness from the management team, I recommend avoiding this hotel.
Oleksii Torunov★☆☆☆☆
Absolutely not worth the price. Our room stank of mold like it was damp in there. Same with the towels. The staff at reception wanted to help, so they replaced the towels but the room still stank. Breakfast was 4/10. Late checkout is extra €20 when they could do that for free. There are AirBnBs for the same price and better conditions than this hotel.

I posted this quote below after staying one night in the hotel out of 11 nights total. Our room was so warm that I had to go to the front desk Everyday to have them lower the Air-Conditioning that they preset at a high temperature and told me it was a law in Spain that they couldn’t lower it but yet they still came to the room and lowered it, it only stayed that way for about two hours, then in the middle of the night they would shut it off, I struggled with this throughout the whole stay. The other issue we had was the curtains falling off of the ceiling. They came unscrewed and we could not shut our shades for the last three nights and maintenance never showed up. From the first day when I posted the review below things changed in a hurry, I got a long letter from the manager of the hotel, saying. We responded every time you complained, which was 14 times on our 11 day stay, they did not respond every time and they never addressed us being able to shut the curtains. I would recommend you stay somewhere else, the furniture is old. The gym is an absolute joke, there are four weights in the gym and it’s about 90°. Do yourself a favor and stay at a different property, not sure how they got four stars I wouldn’t give it one. That being said, the front staff at the desk were friendly, it wasn’t their fault and I know they felt badly getting all the complaints that they were getting on a daily basis from just about everyone we talked to staying in the hotel. I won’t go on, but there was also an issue with the elevators being stuck or not working throughout the entire stay. I probably took the stairs to the seventh floor at least 10 times, again they never addressed the issue. Again, this quote below was after the first night “This hotel is amazing, the maintenance man came up to our room at 10:15 PM to fix our Air-Conditioning.” Horribly old smelly hotel.
Rob Barnard★★★★★
I recently stayed here for two nights and, having stayed at the hotel a few years ago, I was looking forward to returning. My previous visit left a fantastic impression, with a bright, spacious room at the front of the hotel that was impressively well soundproofed despite overlooking a busy road. This time I was allocated a room at the rear of the hotel. It wasn't quite as well soundproofed, and there was some noise from the nearby school during the day. However, as I was out exploring for most of the day, it wasn't really an issue. As a solo traveller, I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, which contained both a large double bed and a single bed. The room had everything I needed, was spotlessly clean, and although a few areas are beginning to show the inevitable signs of wear and tear, it remained comfortable and well maintained. The included breakfast was more than adequate and provided an excellent start to even the busiest days of sightseeing. What really sets this hotel apart, though, is the staff. Every member of the team I encountered was friendly, welcoming and genuinely cheerful. Their smiles never felt forced; they seemed genuinely happy to be there, which creates a wonderful atmosphere throughout the hotel. The location is also excellent. A short walk in one direction takes you into the heart of the city, while a short walk in the other leads you to the Science and Arts complex, making it an ideal base for exploring everything the area has to offer. While my expectations were perhaps raised by the excellent experience I had on my previous stay, I still thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would happily stay here again.

I loved my two nights staying in this elegant hotel!! Everything was impeccable and the staff was very helpful and professional. Thank you Maria, Patricia and Victor! I appreciated the bottles of water in the mini bar and the bathroom that looked like brand new. I enjoyed my view from the 6th floor and the heavy traffic didn’t bother me at all. Once the window is closed you can’t hear a thing. The location is splendid and walking distance from the train station and to the City of Arts and Sciences. The room had everything I needed and the only comment I will make is that it deserves better mattresses. Dear hotel manager, thank you for doing such a great job at wonderful Senator Hotel!!

Just had a 4 night stay here. The room was excellent; large, nicely decorated and with a comfortable bed. Housekeeping standards were very good and it was nice to discover some water in the fridge. The breakfast buffet is well set out and varied each day with welcoming and attentive personnel. My only slight criticism is that the hot food was at best tepid which was disappointing because there was a nice variety. Pastries, cheeses and meats were all tasty and appetising. Location is on an enormous roundabout but I wasn't troubled by any traffic noise (except on the day of a taxi strike when hundreds of them were hooting their horns at the same time!) and it is a 2 minute stroll to the nearest bus stop (number 8 takes you to the Plaza del Ayuntamiento past the Estación del Norte and so into the heart of Valencia). Nearby Cuba and Sueca streets boast a wide variety of restaurants, bars and cafés and are about 5 minutes away on foot. The hotel was able to recommend open restaurants on the Sunday evening when I arrived as many do not open on Sunday or Monday. The hotel café was convenient with a good range of food and drink at reasonable prices. It was good that it stays open until late in the evening even after the kitchen closes (at 11pm I think?). Overall a pleasant stay in a welcoming hotel that is quite close to the heart of Valencia.

I had a good overall stay at Senator Parque Central, and there are definitely a few things that stood out in a positive way. The hotel itself is well-maintained and comfortable, with rooms that are clean, spacious, and equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. It feels like a solid, reliable option whether you’re in Valencia for a short visit or a longer trip. The location is also convenient, making it fairly easy to get around and explore different parts of the city. However, one downside worth mentioning is the noise level. My room backed onto a school, and especially during the mornings and throughout the day, it could get quite loud. If you’re someone who likes to sleep in or relax in a quieter environment, this might be something to keep in mind when booking. Aside from that, the overall experience was good. The comfort of the room and the convenience of the location made it an enjoyable stay, but the noise factor did take away slightly from what could have been a near-perfect experience.

We have stayed for five nights at Hotel Olympia Universidades. The hotel is situated in the residential neighbourhood of Benimaclet — a quiet, peaceful and genuinely local area that gives you a real sense of everyday Valencian life and the city centre is just a few bus/metro stops away. Upon arrival, we encountered a minor issue with water in the hallway of the Room. We reported it to the front desk straight away, and the response was both quick and professional. A maintenance person was called immediately, and by the time we returned from our walk around the city, everything had already been fixed. What impressed us most was that the staff member kindly offered us a different room, wanting to make sure we were completely comfortable. That kind of guest-centred approach truly deserves recognition. The room itself is functional, with an interior that feels a little dated in places, though it was always clean and tided every day . The bed/mattress was great  and pleasant surprise — slightly on the firmer side, which suited us perfectly — and we slept wonderfully throughout our entire stay. Breakfast was good and covered  everything , which was  perfectly enough. The staff was very kind and helpful from the very first moment. They patiently helped us with information and  details how to use the public transport , provided us with a city map, and lent us an umbrella when it started to rain one day. The front desk is opened  around the clock. The location is arguably the hotel’s greatest asset. A bus is  just around the corner, and the metro and tram is in front of the hotel— making it effortless to reach the city centre, the Bioparc, or anywhere else you might want to explore. In metro in front of the hotel we bought our SUMA transport card and topped it up throughout our stay. All in all, a hotel that delivers on cleanliness, convenience and helpful stuff . We would not hesitate to return.

We stayed for 5 nights. Breakfast is fine, nothing special, but totally fine and inexpensive. The room does look a tiny bit dated here and there, but there were no issues at all. The room and bathroom were neat, no bad smells or anything. The water pressure in the shower was one of the best I've ever had in a hotel and the shower head was also working properly (not new,but I think the remove the lime on a regular basis). The staff was very friendly and helpful and the reception is open 24 hours. The location of the Hotel is directly next to a tram/bus/subway. So regardless of where you wanna go (Old City/beach/oceanographic), the public transportation is at your doorstep.

I stayed here for work back in June. The location of the hotel was good, the breakfast was fine (nothing special), the room was spacious. However the Aircon broke when it was around 35 Celsius outside. I went to complain and the receptionist assured me she would come to fix the problem but I had to go down several times over the course of 2 hours and nothing could be fixed. Her replacement on the Nightshift told me nothing could be done and I just had to live with it. I had to chase the receptionist the next day to get someone to fix the issue. Overall, it would've been fine but the staff were unprofessional and did not care at all and they seemed to have no training of how to deal with these situations. I shared my feedback with my organisation who had booked rooms for around 10 colleagues there. We will not be using this hotel again.

We had a great stay, the rooms are simple but clean nevertheless. The location is amazing, next to the metro/bus stops and within walking distance of a bike sharing point. I recommend this place if you want to get the most value out of your money.

We had a very pleasant stay at One Shot Colón. The hotel is in an amazing location, truly one of its best features. Everything was nearby including restaurants, shopping areas, attractions, and public transportation, which made exploring Valencia extremely easy. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, especially compared to many European hotels. The washroom and bedsheets were clean, which we really appreciated. Although the room had two windows, it still felt somewhat dark during the day. On the positive side, the hotel was very quiet, making it easy to relax and sleep well. The staff were all very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay with exception of one staff, who would not move in a narrow hall to let us move our luggage. Breakfast was decent and acceptable, although the selection was somewhat limited. One inconvenience was that during weekends breakfast started at 8 AM. On our checkout day we had already paid for breakfast but had to leave earlier and could not use it. Unfortunately, there was no option for a picnic-style breakfast to go. Overall, despite a few minor inconveniences, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel mainly for its spacious rooms, cleanliness, quiet atmosphere, and truly excellent location in Valencia.

Solid room in a great location for a decent price. Comfy beds and the shower was incredible, I stayed in it all day. You can leave your luggage there after you check out.

The location of the hotel is very good and convenient for exploring the city. However, our stay had several drawbacks. The doors in the rooms close extremely loudly, which creates a lot of noise and can be quite disturbing, especially at night. In addition, the staff in the restaurant were not very polite, which made the experience less pleasant. Another inconvenience is that the hotel does not have a dedicated luggage storage room. Overall, while the location is great, these issues significantly affected the comfort of the stay.

Very central in location. Room was more than comfy. Good breakfast for 5 consecutive days - despite the moaning I read in some "reviews". Staff efficient and homely.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and had a very pleasant experience. The breakfast was basic but good, with fresh products every morning. The staff was attentive and helpful throughout our stay. We asked to change our room because it was too warm, and they changed it immediately without any hesitation, which we really appreciated. The location is central and perfect, close to shops, the metro, and many restaurants. The hotel was clean, and the staff was very friendly and professional. Overall, a great stay and a hotel I would recommend.

I paid almost 600 euro for 3 nights, I wouldn’t call this a “budget” price. Except for the location, there’s nothing good about this hotel. Thin walls, you can hear water running through the pipes or your neighbours talking. You can smell them smoking, too - is it even legal to allow smoking in a hotel? The room has no windows. The planning is…strange. Like a bed blocking closet doors or a table blocking power outlets. There isn’t even a kettle in the room. It is just a place to sleep, and not a very good one at that, for a price of a decent hotel.

I am writing this to warn future guests about a shocking experience at Sweet Hotel Continental. On our second night, after a scheduled linen change, we discovered blood stains on our duvet cover and pillowcase.A member of the reception staff came to the room and personally confirmed that the stains were indeed blood. However, the hotel management’s response was disgraceful. Instead of taking responsibility for this major health and biohazard violation, they refused any refund and indirectly accused us of causing the stain, claiming it looked 'too recent', despite us being out of the room during the entire period between the linen change and the discovery. They even tried to deflect by saying the room was checked 'before arrival', which is irrelevant since the issue occurred during a mid-stay change.I have filed a formal dispute with Booking.com and requested the official 'Hoja de Reclamaciones' to report them to the Valencia Health and Tourism authorities. STAY AWAY if you value your health and expect basic professional ethics. A hotel that provides blood-stained sheets and then insults its guests is not safe.

Small rooms, but bed was comfortable and location is very nice. Rooms are equipped basically, not even a mini fridge which would have been nice, as my medication needs refridgeration. Room was very dark. Front desk staff is there 24h.

Good location, nice roof. We did see cockroaches in the bathroom lights in two rooms, all rooms were booked so we could not switch rooms.

There’s nothing sweet about this hotel Room 411 a single room which is very small ( guess that’s what you pay for ) The noise from inside the hotel has to be the worst I’ve ever heard. Apart from talking , you can hear every key , every bathroom being used I didn’t sleep it was a waste of money

NOT A HOTEL, this place is worse than a low-end hostel. I checked out a night early and drove back home 4 hours to Barcelona to avoid staying another minute in this dump. The photos are completely misleading. They do not match the actual rooms, and booking sites conveniently leave out many of the worst images. What you get in reality is tiny, claustrophobic rooms and absolutely filthy bathrooms. I’m talking bugs, horrible smells, and a level of dirt that makes you question how this place is even operating. The glowing 5-star reviews are highly suspicious, they read like paid promotions and do not reflect the reality at all. Do not trust them. The rooms smell terrible and feel bleak and depressing. For the price they charge, this is an outrageous rip-off. Paying 100€+ for this is absurd when you could stay in an actual clean, comfortable hotel for the same price, or even less. Honestly, a basic student hostel for 10€ a night would be a massive upgrade compared to this. On top of that, the owner’s responses to criticism say everything. Instead of addressing real issues, they respond with sarcasm and insults, which only confirms they are fully aware of the problems and choose to ignore them. If they reply to this review in the same manner, it will only further prove the point. Avoid this place at ALL COSTS.

This place is ok. It gives high end hostel. But no elevator so no wheel chairs. Cus its only stairs to get up to rooms from lobby. It an ok place. I expected more for the price. There is a soccer feild across street. So you can hear the kids. They also were doing some kinda contsruction in the building. So it was noise from that. Also people slam the doors. Its louder than i would have expected here.

I booked the place as a walk in guest. And they have fair price for one private bedroom with shared bathroom. The room is clean, have everything you need (fan, fridge, towel, tv, coffee machine, mirror,..) the shared bathroom was also very frequently cleaned. Although there is no elevator but the reception girl was super cute and help me brought my luggage up. I had a pleasant stay. Safe and comfy. Perfect location. Recommend for female solo travelers.

⸻ A good place to stay overnight. It’s located in the city center, and the bus to the beach leaves just around the corner. For a small price, the room had everything necessary, including coffee. The staff was also helpful and always ready to assist. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay here

The decorations of the room are really awesome and original, we really enjoyed the colors, size and high ceilings of the room. Only recommendation is to get an interior room, our room had a balcony view of Calle de Pau and the noise was unbearable….

The location of the hotel is more than perfect, the staff was helpful, but in the morning of the last day staying in this hotel, when I woke up, I found a huge cockroach on the curtain. It was not a nice experience as I do not know for how much he was in my room.
Koppány Dézsi★★☆☆☆
We were initially given a room on the first floor facing the street, which was very noisy. We immediately requested a room change, but unfortunately, the new room was only available the next day. We received an earplug right away. The second room was on the fourth floor, but it had a very unpleasant smell throughout our remaining two days. The breakfast was not good either; neither the omelet nor the pre-made sandwiches were tasty. The juice offered was only sugary and low in fruit content. The staff was friendly, although they reprimanded us when we filled our water bottle to take with us at breakfast. Overall, accommodation 2/5, breakfast 2/5, staff 4/5.

Excellent positioned in "old town". Super friendly staff in reception. Very clean and spacious room, properly cleaned each day. Excellent bathroom, good water pressure and clean! The only downside is the breakfast, limited and strange composition/ options.

Essential Tips for Booking a Central Hotel in Valencia

While choosing the right hotel is crucial, understanding the nuances of booking in Valencia will elevate your stay from good to extraordinary. The city has a unique rhythm, influenced by Spanish meal times, local festivals, and the Mediterranean climate. By considering a few strategic factors before confirming your reservation, you can avoid common pitfalls and ensure your accommodation enhances your itinerary rather than complicating it. Here are some expert insights to guide your decision-making process.

1. Book well in advance for Las Fallas.
If your travel dates fall in mid-March, you must plan months ahead. Las Fallas is Valencia’s most famous festival, drawing massive crowds and making central accommodation scarce and expensive. Noise levels are also extremely high during this week, so if you are not attending specifically for the festivities, it is wise to check the calendar and perhaps visit at a quieter time.

2. Consider upper floors to combat street noise.
Valencia is a city that lives on the streets, which means ground-floor and low-level rooms in areas like El Carmen can be noisy late into the night. When booking, request a room on a higher floor or one that faces an interior courtyard. This simple request can make a significant difference to your sleep quality, especially on weekends.

3. Clarify parking logistics before arrival.
Driving into Valencia’s old town is notoriously difficult due to narrow streets and restricted traffic zones. If you are renting a car, verify whether your hotel has on-site parking or a partnership with a nearby public garage. Factor in the daily parking cost, as it can add a substantial amount to your budget compared to staying slightly outside the core.

4. Leverage the "Menu del Dia" rather than hotel dining.
While hotel restaurants are convenient, Valencia offers one of the best value dining cultures in Spain. Even if you stay in a central luxury hotel, step outside for lunch to experience a local "Menu del Dia." These fixed-price menus offer incredible quality for a fraction of the cost of tourist-centric or hotel restaurants.

5. Use the Turia Gardens as your highway.
When evaluating a hotel’s location, don’t just look at the straight-line distance to attractions. The Turia Gardens, a lush park running through the city, is the most pleasant and efficient way to walk or cycle. A hotel located near one of the park’s access points might feel closer to the City of Arts and Sciences than a hotel geographically nearer but surrounded by busy roads.

6. Check for rooftop amenities.
Valencia enjoys sunshine for most of the year. A hotel with a rooftop terrace or pool offers a massive quality-of-life upgrade. After a long day of sightseeing, having a space to relax with a view of the city skyline or the cathedral is invaluable, turning your accommodation into a destination in itself.

Valencia’s magic lies in its ability to blend the ancient with the avant-garde, and your choice of accommodation should reflect that same spirit. By staying near the city centre, you position yourself to experience the spontaneous moments that make travel memorable—a morning coffee in a sun-drenched plaza, an impromptu concert in the streets, or the simple joy of wandering home through centuries-old alleys.

Take your time reviewing the options above, considering how the location aligns with your personal travel style. Whether you prioritize opulent luxury, historic ambiance, or minimalist design, the perfect room in Valencia is waiting to welcome you. Once you have secured your stay, all that is left is to pack your bags and prepare for a journey filled with light, flavor, and undeniable Spanish charm.
