The Eiffel Tower is truly one of the most beautiful and iconic landmarks in the world. Visiting it in Paris was an unforgettable experience. From the first moment you see it, the size, design, and elegance of the tower are absolutely impressive. It is not just a monument; it is a symbol of Paris, romance, history, and French beauty. The atmosphere around the Eiffel Tower is amazing, especially when you walk near the gardens and see the tower from different angles. It is a perfect place for taking photos, enjoying the view, and feeling the special energy of Paris. During the day, the tower looks powerful and elegant, and at night it becomes even more magical when the lights turn on and sparkle. Going up the Eiffel Tower is also a wonderful experience. The view from the top is breathtaking, and you can see many famous parts of Paris from above, including the River Seine, beautiful bridges, historical buildings, and the city skyline. It gives you a completely different feeling of Paris. Overall, the Eiffel Tower is a must-visit place for anyone travelling to Paris. It is beautiful, romantic, historic, and unforgettable. Whether you visit during the day or at night, the experience is very special and definitely worth it.

This is definitely a tourist trap, but a necessary one if you are in Paris. Great photo opportunities. There is a nice park adjacent to the tower grounds. If you want to ride the elevator to the top, I recommend buying tickets well in advance. I highly recommend visiting in the evening and watching the light show that starts at 10pm.

Visited the Eiffel Tower with an e-ticket and had a great experience. I would highly recommend purchasing your tickets online in advance to avoid disappointment, as tickets can sell out quickly. The first security check does not require you to show your ticket. After that, proceed to the “E-Tickets – Elevator” entrance with the green signboard. Visitors are only allowed to enter during their designated time slot, so there is no need to arrive too early. After entering, there is a second security check where your ticket will be scanned. The elevator ride to the 2nd floor takes about a minute. If you are visiting the summit, you will need to change to another elevator. Everything was very well organized and the crowd control was excellent. The staff did a great job managing the large number of visitors, making the whole process smooth and efficient. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and one of the highlights of our trip to Paris.

The Eiffel Tower was an unforgettable experience and one of the most memorable highlights of our trip to Paris! Seeing this iconic landmark in person was truly breathtaking. The views over the city are spectacular, offering a unique perspective of Paris’s beautiful architecture, gardens, and famous landmarks. The experience was especially magical for our family. Our children were excited from the moment they saw the tower and were amazed by its size, history, and incredible views. Watching Paris from above created memories that we will cherish for years to come.💕
Shakil Rahman★★★★★
Best seen at night time to admire the light show. Long waiting lines to get in, but if you've a disability, you can go straight in, but won't be allowed to go to the top of the tower. Be careful of thieves in the area and stays open till late. Stalls in the area during weekends for gifts and bargains, best to book in advance, as when we went, top floor was fully booked. Selfie sticks are allowed, unlike in Disneyland.

We loved visiting the Arc de Triomphe! It is a stunning and architecturally elegant landmark with incredible attention to detail. Standing beneath the massive arch and seeing the beautiful sculptures and intricate carvings up close was truly impressive. The location also offers a wonderful perspective of Paris and the famous avenues that radiate from the monument. It is an iconic part of the city and definitely worth visiting when in Paris. Highly recommended!

Visiting the Arc de Triomphe was one of the highlights of my trip to Paris. The monument is even more impressive in person than in photos. Its massive size, beautiful architecture, and incredible attention to detail make it a true masterpiece. Standing beneath it, you can really appreciate the history and significance of this iconic landmark. Climbing to the top was absolutely worth it. The panoramic view of Paris is breathtaking, especially with the famous Champs-Élysées stretching out below and the Eiffel Tower visible in the distance. It’s the perfect place to take unforgettable photos and admire the beauty of the city from above. I also found the history behind the monument fascinating. The eternal flame and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier add a deeply respectful and emotional atmosphere that reminds visitors of the sacrifices made throughout history. The entire site is well organized, clean, and easy to visit. Whether you’re interested in history, architecture, or simply want to experience one of the most famous landmarks in the world, the Arc de Triomphe is a must-see. I would happily visit again and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Paris.
Maya★★★★★
Definitely a highlight of my trip! It was amazing to see this in real life and it is interesting to see its commemorations as well. There was a lot of people trying to cross the road but if you do try to cross, there are some stairs and a tunnel, do not try to cross the road!!! Definitely worth seeing and ticking off the list, also be aware of pickpocketers!

Standing beneath the Arc de Triomphe is an unforgettable experience. The monument is even more impressive in person, with its massive size, intricate sculptures, and rich history honoring those who fought for France. Climbing to the rooftop is absolutely worth it, offering one of the best panoramic views of Paris, including the famous Champs-Élysées stretching into the distance and the Eiffel Tower on the horizon. Visiting around sunset makes the city even more magical as the lights begin to glow. Be prepared for some stairs if you head to the top, but the view is well worth the effort. A must-visit landmark for anyone exploring Paris.
Nhoc Den Thui★★★★★
I was genuinely amazed by the urban planning of Paris the moment I reached the top of the Arc de Triomphe. Standing here, you can clearly see the twelve grand avenues radiating perfectly from the monument. It makes you appreciate how visionary French city planning was centuries ago. Up close, the sculptures and carvings on the Arc are simply breathtaking. Every detail tells a story of France’s history and victories under Napoleon. Whether you admire him or not, it’s impossible not to respect the scale of his ambition and the legacy he left behind. My advice: buy the ticket and climb to the rooftop. It’s €22 on regular days and only €16 on Wednesdays (April–September), and it’s worth every single euro. The 360° panoramic view is one of the best in Paris. You’ll understand the city’s remarkable design, learn the fascinating history behind the monument, and capture some of the most unique, unforgettable photos of Paris. One of the best viewpoints in the city. Worth every cent 🇫🇷📸

Notre-Dame Cathedral is absolutely beautiful and, of course, one of the must-see landmarks when visiting Paris. Entry to the cathedral itself is free, although you are encouraged to reserve a time slot in advance. The reservation is also completely free. I didn’t make one because I wasn’t sure exactly when I would arrive, but this wasn’t a problem at all. There is a separate line for visitors without reservations, and I only had to wait around 5-10 minutes before getting inside. So if you don’t manage to reserve a spot, don’t worry - you can still visit; you may just have to wait a little. Once inside, the cathedral is incredibly bright and beautiful and has a very serene atmosphere. Visitors are encouraged to remain quiet, particularly during services and announcements. The stained glass is especially stunning, and there are so many intricate details in the artwork and architecture that are worth taking the time to appreciate. There is also a treasury inside the cathedral that you can visit for a fee of around €12. It is relatively small, so you can comfortably see everything in under an hour. It contains a collection of religious and historical objects and is an interesting addition if you have some extra time. One thing to keep in mind is that there are no restrooms in the treasury area, so you will need to go outside if you need one. Overall, Notre-Dame is absolutely worth visiting. The cathedral itself is free, beautiful, peaceful, and easy to visit even without an advance reservation. Definitely one of the highlights of Paris!
Mohammad Diab★★★★★
We visited Notre Dame Cathedral during our stay in Paris and really enjoyed the experience. The queue outside looked quite long when we arrived, but it moved surprisingly quickly, so the wait was not an issue. The cathedral is beautiful inside, with impressive architecture and many interesting details. We enjoyed walking around and taking in the atmosphere of such a historic place. We also bought one of the souvenir coins from the machine inside, which was a nice keepsake to remember our visit to Notre Dame and Paris. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience and the cathedral is definitely worth visiting, especially for anyone interested in history, architecture, and the story of Paris.
Carlos Pereira★★★★★
Notre Dame Cathedral is an absolute must-visit when in Paris, and my experience there was nothing short of awe-inspiring. The Gothic architecture is breathtaking—from the intricate rose windows to the soaring ribbed vaults—and standing beneath those towering ceilings really puts you in touch with centuries of history and human achievement. But here's my insider tip: if you want to experience something truly special, I highly recommend doing the towers tour at night. Yes, it involves climbing a lot of stairs, and you'll definitely need a reasonable level of physical fitness to make the ascent comfortably. However, the reward is absolutely worth it. Once you reach the top, you're treated to an unforgettable view of Notre Dame's intricate roof architecture illuminated against the night sky, and beyond that, the glittering expanse of Paris spread out in all directions. The cityscape twinkling below is genuinely stunning—it's a perspective you simply don't get during the day, and I haven't seen many people talking about this particular experience. Whether you visit during the day to admire the cathedral's architectural details and interior beauty, or time your visit for the evening towers tour, Notre Dame delivers an experience that stays with you. It's one of those places that reminds you why Paris is called the City of Light.
Youssef George★★★★★
I had the privilege of visiting Notre-Dame Cathedral before the 2019 fire, and it remains one of the most unforgettable experiences of my trip to Paris. The cathedral was absolutely breathtaking, showcasing magnificent Gothic architecture, soaring vaulted ceilings, intricate stone carvings, and stunning stained-glass windows. Every detail reflected centuries of history, craftsmanship, and artistic excellence. The atmosphere inside was incredibly peaceful and inspiring. Walking through the cathedral, admiring the beautiful chapels, sculptures, and the famous rose windows, was a truly memorable experience. It was easy to understand why Notre-Dame is considered one of the world's greatest architectural and cultural treasures. Its location in the heart of Paris, on the Île de la Cité, made it even more special, surrounded by beautiful views of the Seine and some of the city's most charming streets. The visit was well organized, and despite the large number of visitors, the experience never felt overwhelming. Looking back, I feel incredibly fortunate to have seen the cathedral in its original form before the devastating fire. It remains one of the most beautiful landmarks I have ever visited, and I hope to return one day to admire its remarkable restoration. Notre-Dame is a timeless symbol of Paris and an unforgettable place that fully deserves a five-star rating.
Aid★★★★★
I saw the cathedral just a few weeks before it’s fire in 2019 which was an incredible experience. The cathedral now is even more spectacular. Notre Dame is now much more striking and you get a sense that this is how the architects and craftspeople intended the cathedral to dominate. I was very moved by the crown of thorns being on display- this was done very well and tastefully not just a tourist gimmick. 100% recommend paying a little extra to do the tour of the towers. You get an amazing view of the city and it really helped to amplify the history and scale of this incredible building.

We purchased a ticket to tour the Concierge along with Sainte Chapelle. There was no line to enter the Concierge, thinking very few visitors compared to Sainte Chapelle. The structure is a former courthouse and prison, originally part of the royal palace. There is an interactive guide that walks you through the building providing insight into what the prison looked like when filled with prisoners. This is the prison where Marie Antoinette's cell was with a small outside courtyard where the woman prisoners were allowed to spend time and wash their clothes. Well maintained and quite enjoyable.

Absolutely fantastic! I’d strongly advise to take the « historipad » for your visit, you will learn so much and it’s a lot of fun. I didn’t know what i could expect from this tour but I was really blown away by that iPad augmented reality and all the historical facts woven into it (even as a French). We spent 2h30 there, really taking the time to read everything each time. Also a great place to seek refuge from the summer heat!
Z奥利维亚★★★★☆
An interesting place but don’t really have too many things to see. The iPad seemed nice but it stopped distributing at about 4:30 pm so I didn’t get one. But generally nice, demonstrated some good stories about Marie Antoinette, worth going.

Simply perfect. Alot of information, great for children, fun to see museum, little to no wait time. There was 1 tablet for two people with alot of easy to understand information for adults or kids. It was interesting to see from the tablet and in real life. Beautiful museum with great things to see and so much to learn. Very interactive which is great for children but also great for adults. I loved to see Marie-Antoinette's cell and would go again. Such an amazing museum with great prices and some even included the saint-chapel's price.

Remember to borrow the pads when you enter. A very nice place to visit under hot weather. It’s very cool inside.😌 No need to reserve (though we did), we just walked in with museum pass. Short queue outside.

Very interesting to come and see and the gardens are well kept around the edge of here. It’s very clean and you feel safe but again I’d watch out for pickpocketers because they are genuinely everywhere… The architecture is insane and interesting to look at, this was the first time here so it was great to experience it for the first time ever!!

★★★★★ Visited Tour Saint-Jacques and had a wonderful experience. The tower is an impressive historic landmark with beautiful Gothic architecture, standing out prominently in the heart of the city. I especially appreciated the intricate details, the surrounding garden setting, and the sense of history associated with the site. The area around the tower is peaceful and offers a nice place to relax while enjoying views of this iconic structure. Overall, a memorable and enriching visit, highly recommended for anyone exploring central Paris.
Amir Ardalan Davoodi★★★★★
Tour Saint-Jacques (Saint-Jacques Tower) is a remarkable Gothic monument located in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, France, near Rue de Rivoli. It is the only remaining part of the former Church of Saint-Jacques-de-la-Boucherie, which was demolished during the French Revolution. Built between 1509 and 1523, the tower served as the church’s bell tower and became an important landmark in medieval Paris. It is especially famous for its connection to the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. The tower is notable for: 🏰 A magnificent example of late Gothic Flamboyant architecture 🗼 Rising approximately 52 meters above the city 🗿 Rich stone carvings, including statues of saints, animals, and decorative Gothic details 🧭 A historic starting point for pilgrims traveling toward Santiago de Compostela 📜 A monument connected to medieval Paris and the city’s religious heritage 📸 Offering beautiful views of Paris from its observation platform The tower was restored in the 19th century by architect Théodore Ballu, who preserved its intricate sculptures and Gothic character. A statue of Blaise Pascal near the base recalls the scientific experiments he conducted there in the 17th century. Today, Tour Saint-Jacques stands as a fascinating reminder of medieval Paris, surrounded by the modern city but preserving centuries of history.
Ivan Tan★★★★★
Tour Saint-Jacques is one of those hidden gems in the heart of Paris that many people walk past without realizing how cool it actually is. It’s all that remains of a 16th-century church, and it really stands out. This tall, gothic-style structure in the middle of a small park. The tower is tied to the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route, and it’s rich in history, with statues, carvings, and interesting details that are easier to notice up close. There are guided tours during certain months of the year (usually in summer, should be May 15 through November 15, 2025, ticket for adult around €12), and visitors who take the tour can climb to the top. It’s a bit of a workout, over 300 steps, but the view is amazing. You get a panoramic look at Paris from a quieter, less touristy spot. The park around the base is also a nice bonus. It’s small but calm, with trees and benches, a good place to rest or have a snack. Even if you don’t go up, the tower is worth seeing from ground level. Overall, Tour Saint-Jacques is a cool mix of history, architecture, and city views. It’s not as famous as the Eiffel Tower or Notre-Dame, but for people who enjoy hidden gems and historical landmarks, it’s definitely worth a stop.
Zayn Nayef Bafayed★★★★★
Tour Saint-Jacques is one of the most underrated yet breathtaking landmarks in Paris. Rising beautifully in the middle of a small park near Châtelet, this Gothic tower immediately captures your attention with its intricate stone carvings and dramatic architecture. The level of detail on the façade is incredible — from statues of saints to delicate ornamental patterns that reflect the elegance of 16th-century design. What makes this place special is its unique presence. Unlike many other monuments in Paris, the tower stands alone, which makes it feel mysterious and powerful. Walking beneath the grand archway and looking up gives you a true appreciation of medieval craftsmanship. The surrounding garden adds a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for relaxing, taking photos, or simply enjoying the Parisian vibe. It’s also historically significant, as it is the remaining part of a former church and connected to the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. If you love architecture, history, or hidden gems away from large crowds, Tour Saint-Jacques is absolutely worth visiting. A stunning monument that blends history, beauty, and tranquility right in the heart of Paris.

An unforgettable, bucket-list experience in Paris! Visiting the Louvre was an absolute highlight of my trip to Paris! The sheer scale of the museum is mind-blowing, and the building itself a stunning former royal palace is just as much a masterpiece as the art inside. Looking up at the incredibly ornate, gilded ceilings and walking through the grand galleries felt surreal. Of course, seeing Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa in person was an unforgettable moment. Yes, the room is busy, but the line moves quickly and it is completely worth it. Beyond that, the Winged Victory of Samothrace standing tall at the top of the grand staircase and the beautiful Venus de Milo were absolutely breathtaking. My top tips for anyone visiting: 1. Book your tickets online well in advance to secure your time slot and bypass the massive ticket lines. 2. Wear your most comfortable walking shoes because the museum is massive and you will easily clock in thousands of steps. 3. Pick a few must-see pieces before you go, or you will get easily overwhelmed It is an absolute 5-star experience that you cannot miss when in Paris. Truly a journey through history and art!
Gemma Kelly★★★★★
I recommend buying tickets in advance and getting an early time slot, especially if you are coming during the summer. I got the audio guide and it was kind of nice but I really struggled to find the room number codes and therefore did not get much use out of it. I really enjoyed the artwork, especially the painting exhibits, but it is REALLY easy to get lost. We ended up doing a lot of walking in circles. Also sometimes you can only go in one direction, like in the room with the Mona Lisa.
swarna gupta★★★★★
The Louvre Museum is one of the most incredible places to visit in Paris and a must-see for anyone who appreciates art, history, and architecture. The museum is enormous, so it's a good idea to plan your visit in advance and decide which galleries you want to explore. Even spending an entire day isn't enough to see everything. The museum is home to world-famous masterpieces, including the *Mona Lisa*, the *Venus de Milo*, and the *Winged Victory of Samothrace*. Beyond these iconic works, every gallery is filled with fascinating paintings, sculptures, and historical artifacts from different civilizations and time periods. The glass pyramid at the entrance is an attraction in itself and makes for beautiful photographs. Inside, the museum is well organized, although it can become very crowded, especially around the most famous artworks. Arriving early or booking tickets in advance can help make your visit smoother. There are cafés, restaurants, gift shops, and clean restrooms throughout the museum, making it convenient for visitors. Comfortable shoes are essential because you'll be walking a lot. Overall, the Louvre offers an unforgettable cultural experience. Its vast collection, rich history, and breathtaking architecture make it one of the world's greatest museums and an absolute highlight of any trip to Paris.
Pinesh Singall★★★★★
Louvre Museum needs no reviews. Visiting the Louvre Museum was an amazing experience! 🤩 Seeing all the stunning architecture and incredible paintings from renowned artists, some over 500 years old, was truly magical. ✨ It's great that entry is free, just remember to book your tickets in advance. Highly recommend! 🏛️
Tyler Dylan★★★☆☆
I had high hopes returning to the Louvre for a second visit, but unfortunately this time the experience was more frustrating than magical. There are, of course, extraordinary works here. Winged Victory of Samothrace was magnificent, as was the Venus de Milo, and Liberty Leading the People was a highlight. Even with the crowds, these masterpieces were worth seeking out. The Mona Lisa, however, was another story. With the enormous crowd packed in front of such a surprisingly small painting, we really couldn’t get close enough to appreciate it. I actually found the enormous painting directly across from her fascinating—the contrast in scale between the two works is almost an attraction in itself! The timed-entry system worked well and we didn’t have much of a wait getting inside, which was a definite plus. I also really enjoyed being outside the museum—the beautiful courtyard and pyramid, followed by a walk through the gardens, were some of my favorite parts of the visit. The Louvre unquestionably contains some of the world’s greatest art, but the sheer number of visitors made it difficult to actually experience some of it. I’m glad we returned and saw several wonderful works, but compared with my expectations—and my first visit—this one was a three-star experience. There are other museums like the Orsay that I’d recommend for a second trip to Paris.

The Tuileries Garden is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places in Paris. Located between the Louvre Museum and Place de la Concorde, it is the perfect place to take a break from sightseeing while enjoying the elegance and charm of one of the city's most famous parks. The gardens are beautifully maintained, with perfectly landscaped pathways, colorful flower beds, elegant fountains, and impressive sculptures throughout. Walking beneath the tree-lined avenues and around the peaceful ponds creates a calm and enjoyable atmosphere, making it easy to spend hours exploring or simply relaxing. One of the highlights of the garden is the stunning view stretching from the Louvre through the Tuileries to Place de la Concorde and the Champs-Élysées. The park also offers plenty of benches and the iconic green chairs, making it a wonderful place to sit, unwind, and watch Parisian life unfold. The location is ideal, with many of Paris's most famous attractions just a short walk away. Whether you're heading to the Louvre, strolling along the Seine, or continuing toward the Champs-Élysées, the Tuileries Garden is a perfect stop along the way. Overall, the Tuileries Garden is a peaceful oasis in the heart of Paris, combining natural beauty, history, and elegant landscaping. It is an essential part of any visit to the city and a place I would happily return to. It fully deserves a five-star rating.
Kristy Eden★★★★★
It seems bizarre to review such a well-known place, but I enjoyed walking there. The hot-air-balloon-shaped Olympic cauldron was stunning to see. Beautiful flowers and statues everywhere, a reasonably priced place to grab a snack. Just a lovely place to grab a seat in the shade and while away the hours.
Mohammad Diab★★★★★
We visited the Tuileries Garden during our time in Paris. It is a large and pleasant garden in a very central location, making it a nice place to walk and spend some time while exploring the city. There are wide walking paths, landscaped gardens, fountains, statues, and plenty of open space. From different parts of the garden you can also enjoy nice views of the surrounding Paris landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower in the distance. During our visit, some sections were closed off with temporary fences, which affected the overall appearance and limited access to parts of the garden. There were also temporary attractions, including a large Ferris wheel and a balloon. Overall, it is a nice place for a walk or a short break, especially if you are already visiting the Louvre or nearby areas. It is worth passing through while exploring central Paris.
Lucy F★★★★☆
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review Tuileries Garden is a beautiful and spacious park in Paris. There is plenty of open space to walk around, relax, and take a quiet break from sightseeing. I also noticed playground areas, so it feels like a nice place for both families and visitors who just want to slow down. The atmosphere is calm and elegant, and it’s a great spot to spend time between visiting museums or walking around central Paris. A lovely garden to relax, enjoy the scenery, and take a peaceful break in the city.
Tyler Dylan★★★★★
After the crowds and intensity of the Louvre, the Tuileries Garden was the perfect change of pace. We had a wonderfully peaceful visit wandering beneath the beautiful rows of shade trees, sitting beside the large pools and fountains, and simply watching Paris go by. One of my favorite moments was watching children sail the little wooden boats across the pond, pushing them away from the edge with long sticks and then waiting for the wind to bring them back. Knowing that children have been doing this in the Tuileries for generations made such a simple scene feel very special. The summer carnival added a completely different kind of energy—colorful rides and swings soaring above the trees—yet there were still plenty of quiet places to sit, rest and enjoy the gardens. It somehow manages to be lively and peaceful at the same time. The fountains, shady pathways, green chairs and wonderful people-watching made this much more than simply a walk between Paris attractions. It became a place to linger and reflect. Five stars. Give yourself time here rather than just walking through on the way to somewhere else.

Wow, and the word I've started this review with, can not sum the impact of this green, calm place on me. I was amazed how it was planned and how many trees can bring so much joy to me in particular, and otger people that come to be there or move via Place des Vosges to their next destination. Also the similar pattern of the buildings around the place is remarkable. Its a wonderful place for inhabitants as well as tourists. And I'm gladly share my point of view, visually as well.

Fantastic open space to sit in the grass or on a park bench and enjoy a coffee or lunch while enjoying this beautiful square. While heading to the Victor Hugo house museum, my partner and I stopped in the park to enjoy our sandwiches and the beautiful townhouses that line Place des Vosges. Great spot to hang out and enjoy the warmer days of Spring.

Place de Vosges is absolutely stunning and easily one of the most beautiful squares you can walk through. The red-brick buildings and the park in the middle give it such a great, relaxed vibe—it's the perfect place for a stroll. The arches running all around the square are packed with incredible art galleries, little shops, and cafes. It’s so much fun to just wander through, pop into the galleries, and take it all in. Definitely don't miss this spot if you're in the area!

The Centre Pompidou is an absolute must-visit when in Paris! As a fan of modern art, I was blown away by the sheer variety of works on display. From vibrant installations to thought-provoking sculptures, there's something to captivate every interest. The building itself, designed by Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers, is a masterpiece – its colour-coded pipes and ductwork add a playful touch to an otherwise conventional glass box. My favourite part? Discovering new artists and styles that have left me eager to explore more! The centre's dedication to showcasing contemporary culture is truly inspiring. Highly recommended! I could've easily spent another day here, but unfortunately, time got the better of me. Still, a fantastic experience overall! 4/5 stars.

Square de l’Île de France is a serene oasis nestled between historic landmarks. With views overlooking the Seine and proximity to Notre-Dame, it’s an ideal spot for contemplation and taking in the scenic beauty of Paris. Perfect for a brief quiet break in the middle of the chaotic landmarks and tourists.

This is a very nice place to walk at any time, restaurants are great; away from tourists always you get better service. At night is great to seat and enjoy a quiet time next to the Senna.

There is a small park here at the tip of the island. It a shame that the deportation memorial has now fenced off the ability to be at the point of the island. It must have been a great vantage point to take snapshots. There is a row of park benches underneath the trees. This makes for a good cooling off spot on a hot summer day.

We fly on the seat of our pants and don't have time to plan our events...so if it's busy season we don't always have an option to reserve times. Saint Chappelle is a busier place -- we had to stand in a no tickets line. It worked out (with Museum Pass). What a wonderful place. You can make this a long visit if you want to relax and take it in. Or you can make it quick. The Conciergerie is right there, too -- so plan them together. It took us about 45 minutes to get through the wait line. Reservations recommended. Was a little confused by some scaffolding and mirrors covering up a corner of the chapel. Didn't ask about it. Beautiful place. Amazing stained glass. Well worth a visit.
Youssef George★★★★★
Sainte-Chapelle is one of the most breathtaking churches I have ever visited and a true hidden gem in the heart of Paris. Although its exterior is relatively modest, the interior is simply extraordinary and unlike anything I have ever seen. The magnificent stained-glass windows are the highlight of the visit. Covering almost every wall, they fill the chapel with vibrant colors and tell beautiful biblical stories through thousands of intricate glass panels. When sunlight shines through the windows, the entire chapel is transformed into a spectacular display of light and color that is truly unforgettable. The Gothic architecture is equally impressive, with soaring ceilings, elegant columns, delicate stonework, and remarkable attention to detail. Every corner of the chapel reflects exceptional craftsmanship and artistic brilliance, making it one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in Europe. The visit was well organized, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Despite its popularity, the chapel maintains a peaceful atmosphere that allows visitors to fully appreciate its beauty. I would recommend visiting on a sunny day to experience the stained-glass windows at their absolute best. Overall, Sainte-Chapelle is an architectural masterpiece and one of the most beautiful religious sites in Paris. Its incredible stained glass, rich history, and unique atmosphere make it an unforgettable experience and an essential stop for anyone visiting the city. It fully deserves a five-star rating.

Sainte-Chapelle is absolutely stunning and one of the most beautiful places we visited in Paris. When we arrived, there was a long line, and staff told us it would take about one to one and a half hours to get inside. The wait was worth it, though. The interior is breathtaking. The stained-glass windows are incredible, and when the sunlight shines through them, the whole chapel glows with color. The architecture and details are amazing and unlike anything we had seen before. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in Paris, but be prepared for a wait during busy times.

Beautiful, historic church that was built to house The Crown of Thorns by King Louis IX. The church was built in 7 years. Be sure to spy the crown of thorns on the smallest spire before you go in. There is a chapel meant for the King on the bottom floor. At present they are restoring it to its rich colors. Up the winding stairs to the main Chappell you are rewarded with the at least 2-3 story tall Stainglass windows. Even on a cloudy day they are impressive.
Rossana★★★★★
Sainte-Chapelle is one of the most breathtaking places to visit in Paris. The stained-glass windows are absolutely spectacular and create an unforgettable atmosphere, especially when the sunlight shines through them. The level of detail and the vibrant colors are truly incredible. Although the chapel is relatively small, its beauty and historical significance make it one of the city’s hidden treasures. I recommend booking tickets in advance, as it can get quite busy. A masterpiece of Gothic architecture and a must-see when visiting Paris.

The Basilica of Sacré-Cœur is one of the most moving places I visited in Paris. I went on a foggy winter day, and the scene was magical as I climbed the long staircase leading up to it, watching the white domes gradually appear and disappear through the mist — it gave the whole place a mysterious and spiritual atmosphere from the very first moment. The instant I stepped inside, I felt like I was in a truly sacred and solemn place; the spiritual calm that fills the basilica makes you feel a deep sense of reverence. I stood in awe before the massive mosaic on the ceiling depicting Christ in stunning golden colors — one of the most beautiful works of art I've ever seen. From the outside, the basilica's pure white domes stand proudly over the Montmartre hill, and despite the fog, the panoramic view of Paris from up there was breathtaking. A truly spiritual and beautiful experience — I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paris.

She sits majestically up on the hill for all to see as you traverse across Paris. We ventured in for a visit. The line appeared a bit long, but it went quickly and there was much to take in while you waited. The locks of love on the fencing, the view of the city, and people watching. The church is beautiful inside. My favorite was the area over where the priest spoke. The colors on the ceiling were rich. No ticket. Free to enter.
Marta Swiecki★★★★★
One of the most beautiful cathedrals I've ever seen. Perched at the highest point in Paris, it offers some of the most spectacular views of the city. If you're looking for a panoramic view of Paris, this is definitely the place to come. There can be a wait to enter, but admission is free and well worth a little patience. On hot summer days, consider bringing a small fan, as the crowds and heat can make the wait more challenging. Once inside and around the grounds, you'll be rewarded with stunning architecture, incredible history, and breathtaking views. Absolutely worth exploring!

Definitely worth visiting if you come to Paris, we took the train and then metro which were so easy to use to get here. We’d recommend getting here as early as possible as the queue does start piling up around mid day and also be aware of pickpocketers around this area! We went in the summer so it was really nice to sit on the steps and eat our food in the sun, there are a lot of souvenir shops selling gifts but they were expensive so we’d recommend walking to the suburb of Montmartre to get the best deals.
EILEEN W★★★★★
A beautiful sight! A strenuous hike! Especially if you get off at the Abbesse Metro exit… we walked the 176 steps to bring us up to ground level. And then you get to walk up the steep hills to the very top. The Basilica is beautiful, although we opted not to wait in line in the blazing sun to go inside. It is free to view. We did get some lovely exterior photos plus the view of Paris from the top of Montmartre. If you can’t do the steps, there is an elevator from the Metro, and apparently a funicular to bring you to the top of the hill.

Place de la République is one of the most important and symbolic public squares in Paris, France, located at the junction of the 3rd, 10th, and 11th arrondissements. It serves as a major gathering place for public events, demonstrations, celebrations, and everyday city life. The square has its origins in the 19th century and was significantly redesigned during the urban transformations of Baron Haussmann. Today, it is a central hub for both transportation and civic expression. At the center of the square stands the monumental statue of the Marianne, symbolizing the French Republic and its values of Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity. The square is notable for: 🗽 The large statue of Marianne, symbol of the French Republic 🇫🇷 A major symbol of French democracy and civic life 🚶 One of Paris’s most important gathering and protest spaces 🌳 A wide open urban square redesigned for pedestrians and events 🎭 A frequent location for cultural events, rallies, and public celebrations 📸 A popular spot for photography and urban atmosphere Place de la République has evolved into a modern civic space where people come together to express opinions, celebrate national events, or simply enjoy the urban environment. I have visited the catacombs with my teenage daughter. It is a very interesting experience, to imagine a labyrinth of tunnels filled with bones, that runs underneath the busy streets of Paris. The audio guide is available in several different languages and offers a very informative commentary. The quotes throughout the catacombs give a chilling reminder of our own mortality. However, visiting is not recommended for people with limited mobility, as you have to descend and ascend on narrow spiral staircases fairly quickly, as not to hold up the people behind you. Advance booking through the official site is essential, as the catacombs were completely sold out on the day of our visit. Booking only opens 7 days in advance, so you have to be fairly quick to secure your preferred time.

Loved it!!! If you like one of a kind experiences that's a little creepy, you will love this. The walk took about an hour at a slow leisurely pace. Some parts of the path are a little narrow with low ceilings, the floor is pebbly so wear comfortable shoes, it was dimmly lit but very safe, I was walking alone for part of the path so the timed entry tickets really spaced everyone out for the experience. If you get scared easily, walk with a group. I loved this over every other museum visit in Paris and can't wait to go again!

An amazing and unique experience! Walking underground in Paris surrounded by history and millions of bones arranged neatly gives a magical yet eerie feeling. The place is very well-maintained and informative. Highly recommended for anyone who loves history. Tip: You must book tickets online in advance!
Lauren Hagan★★★★★
As someone who studies history and pays close attention to how museums handle interpretation, I was genuinely impressed. The Catacombs are a difficult site to present well: you're dealing with human remains, a long and layered history, and a space that could easily tip into spectacle. Instead the curation strikes a really thoughtful balance between the engineering history of the quarries, the public health context that led to the ossuary, and the memorial dimension of the space itself. The audio design deserves special mention. The headphones that updated automatically as we moved through the route were a smart, immersive choice. It let the interpretation stay tied to the physical space without the usual fumbling with keypad numbers, and it kept the pacing intuitive. One note for the staff: we went as a group of 5 and 2 of our headphones stopped working partway through. If that hardware reliability gets sorted out, the experience would be close to flawless. Highly recommend for anyone interested in urban history, memory studies, or just exceptional spatial storytelling.
lauren chalas★★★★★
Very very cool, with an excellent audio tour. I appreciated the way that you could go with your own pace. The history of this place is so fascinating. It was on my must-visit list and I'm so glad I did. Tickets can be purchased on the site up to 7 days ahead of time. Don't count on buying tickets at the door, they sell out far in advance.

Beautiful manicured public garden. Loads of chairs to sit and relax. Beautiful grounds to spend an afternoon walking, reading, relaxing. Miniature sailboats in center fountain cost €8 for 30-minute rental, but fun to just watch the boats. Also has kids playground(€3/child entry) and carousel(€2/ride). Playground is really for kids under 8 but does have a good slide. For sure your child sits on outside horses on carousel to play the ring game, as all other seats do not get to play and they don’t post this.

The standout public garden in Paris. Choose your entrance well to get the best experience. Enter via the main gates. It’s an elevated position over the boating pool. It gives a clear sense of the time and effort that is put into this attraction. Head to the right for shade under the trees. Lots of seating to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. Take a picnic. Essential Tips for Visiting Paris

To make the most of your time in the City of Light, a little preparation goes a long way. The way you approach your visit can drastically change your experience, affecting everything from your budget to how much you see in a day. Here are some strategic insights to help you navigate the city like a seasoned traveler rather than a first-time tourist.

1. Master the Art of the “Museum Pass”

If you plan to visit more than two major museums or monuments, the Paris Museum Pass is almost always a financial win. It grants skip-the-line access to over 50 attractions, including the Louvre, Orsay, and Versailles. Be aware that it does not cover the Eiffel Tower, which requires a separate timed ticket, but it will save you hours of queueing at other popular sites.

2. Time Your Visits Strategically

Paris is a city of light, but it is also a city of lines. The worst time to visit a major attraction like the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre is between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Aim for the first entry slot of the day or, better yet, visit during the “nocturne” (late opening) nights, usually Wednesdays or Fridays, when crowds thin out and the lighting creates a different atmosphere.

3. Embrace the Metro, but Walk When You Can

The Paris Métro is one of the most efficient in the world, with stations rarely more than 500 meters apart. However, if you rely solely on the underground, you miss the architectural beauty of the city. The best strategy is to take the Métro to a general district, then explore on foot. Wear comfortable shoes; the cobblestones of Montmartre and the long galleries of the Louvre are unforgiving on unsupportive footwear.

4. Dine Like a Local, Not a Tourist

Avoid restaurants with menus printed in six languages and pictures of the food. These are almost universally overpriced and low quality. Instead, look for “Formule” menus on chalkboards outside bistros, which offer a fixed price for a starter and main course or main course and dessert. For the best value, make lunch your big meal of the day, as prices are often 30-50% cheaper than dinner menus.

5. Learn the Basic Etiquette

Parisians are generally warm and helpful, but the interaction starts with a greeting. Always begin any transaction—whether buying a baguette or asking for directions—with “Bonjour” (or “Bonsoir” in the evening). Leaving a shop without saying “Merci, au revoir” is considered rude. A little effort with the language goes a long way in ensuring you receive the same warmth you give.

Paris is a city that demands to be felt as much as seen. While the landmarks are breathtaking, the true essence of the city lies in the moments between them: sipping an espresso at a terrace café, watching the Seine flow by, or stumbling upon a street market in the Marais. It is a destination that changes with the seasons, offering a different personality in the crisp autumn light than in the long summer evenings.

As you plan your journey, remember that you cannot see everything in one trip, and that is perfectly fine. Choose a few anchors from the list above, and leave the rest of your schedule open for spontaneity. The best memories are often made when you put the map down and simply allow Paris to reveal itself to you.
