12 Family-Friendly Hotels near Jardin des Tuileries

Finding the right place to stay in Paris can shape your entire trip, especially when traveling with children. You want a location that minimizes transit time, maximizes comfort, and offers easy access to green spaces where little ones can burn off energy. The area surrounding the Jardin des Tuileries offers precisely that balance, acting as a strategic anchor for family exploration.

Situated between the Louvre and Place de la Concorde, this historic garden is more than just a scenic backdrop. It is a functional hub for families, featuring playgrounds, pony rides, and seasonal funfairs that can entertain children for hours. Staying nearby means you can easily retreat for an afternoon nap before heading back out to see the sights.

The neighborhood spans the 1st and 8th arrondissements, placing you within walking distance of the Seine, the Musée d’Orsay, and the luxury boutiques of Rue Saint-Honoré. For parents, this means less time navigating the Metro with strollers and more time enjoying croissants at a café. It is a district known for its safety, elegance, and wide, walkable boulevards.

However, "family-friendly" in Paris does not always mean "large." Many historic Haussmannian buildings have been converted into hotels that, while compact, offer exceptional service and interconnected room options. The key is to look for properties that provide specific amenities such as cribs, rollaway beds, or suites with separate living areas.

When selecting a hotel in this district, proximity to transport is crucial. The Tuileries and Concorde Metro stations offer access to Line 1, which runs directly to the Marais, Champs-Élysées, and even Disneyland Paris via the RER A at Charles de Gaulle–Étoile. This direct line is a lifesaver for families looking to avoid complex transfers.

Dining is another major consideration. While the immediate vicinity of the garden hosts high-end restaurants, the surrounding streets are filled with brasseries serving classic kid-approved fare like omelets, steak-frites, and decadent hot chocolate. Many hotels also offer in-room dining, which can be a blessing for parents of jet-lagged toddlers.

Here is a curated list of the best family-friendly accommodations near the Jardin des Tuileries, selected for their space, amenities, and welcoming attitude toward younger guests.

Such a fun way for 4 people to share a room. Really friendly staff who helped with our early check in and making us feel welcome, and same with checking out and offering to hold our luggage for the day. There was also a free mini bar included and roof windows for ventilation. The location is excellent with the louvre only 10 minutes away and lots of cafes and restaurants surrounding it. All for a very reasonable price too. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel was great! The location was optimal especially for a first timer in Paris. Super close to the metro and the Louvre/champs elysee ! Rooms are a little on the smaller side but was still manageable.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The location was extremely convenient for our itinerary. Most major attractions, including the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, and the Pantheon, were around €15 by Uber, while the Louvre and Palais Garnier were within walking distance. The atmosphere of the hotel was comfortable and relaxing. We stayed in a deluxe room, which offered enough space even though we had an extra suitcase for our pre-wedding photoshoot, including a wedding gown and evening dresses. Considering the price, the amenities were very satisfactory, including the hairdryer and WiFi. The room was also very clean, and we did not experience any noise issues during our stay. The highlight, however, was the hotel staff. They were extremely helpful, kind, and responsive throughout our stay. They were also willing to assist us via WhatsApp, which made communication much easier and removed any language barrier. This was especially valuable, as communication in French had been one of the more challenging parts of our trip. Overall, I would certainly choose this hotel again if I return.

Fantastic stay at the Lion d’Or Louvre! The location is perfect for exploring Paris, and the room was spotless and very comfortable. A special shout-out to the night staff, they were truly exceptional, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Their kindness made my stay even better. I would definitely come back!

The hotel is at great location. Great breakfast. Nice staff. Only situation is that the air conditioner never worked. We were lucky enough that only one day was hot and employees just recommend to open the windows. They Didn’t do anything to make air conditioner work in 10 days. In these days (june-july 26) would be impossible to stay in that room. Take that in account if you go in summer.
Leo Rocha★☆☆☆☆
Booked through Booking.com expecting the room shown in the photos. What we got was a box with a fan on a 33-degree day, zero mention of no air conditioning at check-in, and zero action after complaining to reception twice. The staff played dumb the whole time, pretending nothing was wrong so they wouldn’t have to deal with it. When we pushed harder, the first receptionist claimed the entire hotel had no AC. That was a lie. A second receptionist later admitted it was our room only. Meanwhile, the reception desk itself was perfectly air conditioned. We paid full price for a room that wasn’t fit for the conditions, with staff who lied to our faces rather than fix the problem. The photos are heavily edited. The rooms are small. Before you book: call ahead and confirm your room has AC. Don’t trust the listing. Don’t trust the photos. And if you need basic comfort in a Paris heatwave, look elsewhere.

Great location but the queen room we got was very small for two people. We only have carry-on baggage so expect to be tight for space if you have any large suitcases. Area felt very safe, easy to get around with metro nearby, lots of asian restaurants around. Breakfast was not worth the 17 euros per person but in a pinch before heading out was handy, we paid for the convenience of breakfast I guess. Just meh for a fairly expensive stay for our 2 nights there.

We stayed for 4 days 3 years ago. Staff went out of their way to help us with Ubers, information etc. Room was very small but clean. Sufficient breakfast buffet provided., enough to get the morning started. I would love to return if I could.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The location is excellent—you can easily reach all the main attractions either on foot or by bicycle. The front desk staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful. Our room and bathroom were quite spacious. A huge plus was the smart TV, which allowed us to watch YouTube and stream shows online—a great feature that not many hotels offer. We didn’t need to use the air conditioning, as we happened to leave just as the hot weather kicked in. I’m already missing those beautiful evening strolls along the Seine! :)"

Spent 10 nights there in April. Wish we had discovered this hotel sooner. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Room was clean and quiet. Location was so convenient to where we wanted to explore. I really hope to return.

Hello, We (my sister and I) had a delightful stay. The room was lovely (the refrigerator did not keep our cokes cold), the bathroom was great, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The physical location was close to shopping, several local cafes, and local transportation options. The staff was lovely!🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞 My only complaint was that the room faced the street and the last evening the room was warmer than I'd like. I had the window open and at 12AM it was still rather loud outside, so I had to close the windows to get some rest for my early departure. I realize that this is out of your control, but I felt it important to mention.

This hotel was perfect. We stayed 2 nights but are already planning a return trip. The room and bathroom were large and comfortable. There is a small elevator. Our room’s ac was powerful although we were not in Paris for the heatwave thankfully. Great location, walkable anywhere really, with a ton of restaurants nearby. Friendly front desk folks.
Jim Durgin★★★★★
Good location, close to popular tourist sites such as the Louvre, Notre Dame, etc. Staff was very nice and friendly and the hotel was clean. Elevator (Lift) was small, so something to consider if you require an elevator. Since we were on the 3rd floor, the stairs were manageable when we didn't have to carry luggage.

We enjoyed a lovely 3 night break here. Ideally situated for central Paris. The hotel is beautifully appointed with comfortable appealing rooms and a Parisian feel. Breakfast too was enjoyable setting you up for a good day as a tourist. Thanks team.

Absolutely loved it a beautiful hotel was looked after very well. The room was gorgeous very French and the breakfast was delicious. I would like to give a special mention to Dinesh and Natalia also reception and cleaning staff who went out of their way to make me feel very comfortable. Being on my own it was extra nice to be feel safe.

Hello Cambon team 🩵 First of all, the fact that all the staff were so friendly made us admire your hotel even more. We thank everyone for their help and attentiveness, but we would like to extend special thanks to Mr. Denish; he is a wonderful employee 🌿 Your facilities are excellent. Rest assured, we will be back with you for our third visit 🩵 With love and regards from Türkiye. 🇹🇷

Convenient and welcoming. We checked various sources for recommendations but ended up choosing Hotel Cambon for location and hoped for the best. We were delighted throughout our two night stay. We were able to get into our rooms right away (for a modest fee) and found every staff member (especially Raoul) to be friendly, kind and down-to-earth. We spent a lot of time hanging out in the lounge area and appreciated there were many rooms where we could eat, have a beverage or relax. The guest room was very comfortable and the bathroom had plenty of room. When we ventured out, we were a short walk away from major sites, dining, and shopping. We would definitely choose to stay there again for all of these reasons.

Amazing stay at Relais Du Louvre! The customer service was exceptional, everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The rooms were beautiful with a charming boutique feel, and everything was clean and well maintained. The elevator was surprisingly great (a nice bonus in Paris!), and the air conditioning worked phenomenally, which made our stay very comfortable. The location is fantastic and made it easy to explore the city. The only minor downside was that the shower was a bit small, but it certainly didn’t take away from the overall experience. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return!

We stayed here in the summer of 2023 and It keeps recurring to me how well this hotel established our stay, and set the stage for a wonderful vacation week in Paris. We travelled as a family of four. The hotel facility was lovely- it did not appear corporate; rather it was a smaller hotel with great personalized service. The breakfast baskets in the morning were high quality and adorable. The accommodations were both modern and traditional, and well planned. But what I most remember were the lovely staff at the front desk. They were so dedicated to helping us plan our week- it felt like they were constantly at work to make sure we were able to enjoy ourselves both in the hotel, and with the activities we planned. The warmth of their dedication to their guests was so meaningful to us, and really filled us with happiness an made our trip special. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Harold Bien★★★★★
First time in Paris and this tiny hotel located right next to the Louvre with the Eiffel tower visible just several steps towards the Seine, an old cathedral adjacent and visible from our window. Great personal service in this cozy hotel where your are always personally greeted. The windows open to the fresh air. While there is traffic along the Seine, the rooms itself is usually quiet even with the windows open and you are not blasted by the sounds of traffic. Breakfast, which is extra at $16€ per person is delivered to your room. It was delicious with the usual croissants, baguette, optimal yogurt, choice of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, and fresh squeezed juice. Turns out there was too much food for us to eat. Conveniently located right next to the Point Neuf metro station and easily walkable from Les Halles station which connects to the Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG) via the rail (RER). Took us about 1 hour to slowly walk to the Eiffel tower with plenty of stops along the way. The room was spacious enough for the two of us and our 10 year old child. The building itself is rather old but this adds to the charm and there are no visible deficiencies.

Boutique Historic Hotel in the 1st, walk around the corner and you're at the Louvre or the Pont Neuf bridge, Metro and bus also. Walk to the Isle & Notre Dame. I love the view of the rooftops out the window, which not only has a privacy shade but also a Blackout Shade in case you want to sleep in. The Hotel Site has pictures of the bedside and the non-working fireplace which is a nice aesthetic however I thought I would add the other views of the room that I enjoyed. The benefit of the elevator is terrific and it fit my husband myself and our 2 carry on suitcases, we also enjoyed taking the stairs a couple times even if we were on the 6th floor- I love a circular staircase. Room 62 fantastic. has to be the best location and well worth the price. If you have a morning breakfast it's wonderful in your room to have time to get ready and then go out for the day. There's actually enough croissant or bread and ham and cheese to take yourself a little snack for the day. The only negative for room 62 would be if you have some mobility issue and can't step into a high bathtub. The bath has the European shower and half glass. the private toilet area is very nice with the built-in bidet and heated seat. Very nice on a cold morning. The people are so wonderful and helpful it makes the perfect location even better.
Jeff Savarino★★★★★
Located right across the street from the louvre. Located right near the metro, walking distance to many attractions such as the Seine and the Eiffel Tower. The rooms are comfortable albeit on the tighter side (standard European room). I can’t say enough positive things about the staff. They are accommodating, kind, and lovely to interact with. They truly do go above and beyond making us feel welcome and ensuring that we enjoy our stay with them.

Excellent location, very comfortable and stylish boutique hotel. We were welcomed with champagne drinks at the reception and there was a welcome bottle of champagne and juice in our room. We took a junior suite with a view of Paris, on the third floor and stayed for 9 nights. The maintenance was perfect and the room was made very well every day. Good sound proofing and very professional and welcoming staff. Beautiful views from the room and very close to Tulieiries metro station. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Paris for a comfortable stay.

My wife, daughter, and I stayed overnight at the Hotel Brighton in Paris to celebrate a special occasion — my daughter had just competed in a world championships for water polo. The hotel staff were amazing: Clara, Louis, and Neil were extremely helpful, assisting us with dinner reservations and recommendations for places to see during our stay. We also really appreciated the wonderful hand written note for our daughter, it was a thoughtful gesture. We had a beautiful room with lovely views, and the location couldn't be better — an easy walk to great restaurants, cafes, and historical sites. Could not recommend this place highly enough. The staff went above and beyond with everything we needed.
Sophie Norman★★★☆☆
I was so surprised and disappointed by Hotel Brighton after reading other reviews. It really is a 3 star hotel. I'll give you the shortest version of my experience that I can - Pros: - Location: it's very touristy but you're so nearby many monuments, galleries, and shops, and the view (if you have a room with a view), is wonderful - Bathroom: can't speak for other rooms but ours was spectacular. Beautiful products, bath and enormous shower - Toddler cot: was great. Has a real mattress. If you had a very adventurous toddler it would be dangerous as the sides are quite low, but was fine for ours. Photo attached. Cons: - No/minimal air-conditioning: this hotel contains no built-in air conditioning in common areas (was always hotter inside than outside, due to breeze) or rooms. They had installed portable AC units in rooms but you need to leave windows open for these and they were very noisy. Not very effective. Photo attached. - Rooms: our Junior Suite room was nothing like the pictures and upon questioning (photos attached), the concierge shared that these are sample photos on the website, and some rooms aren't even from this hotel. We were in an attic room which we couldn't stand upright in, except for where the door swung. I'm 5"5 as context, so this is simply crazy. The room also didn't contain many amenities we paid extra for in the Junior Suite, like a table with chairs. The hotel was overbooked with no other available rooms, so I suspect we were downgraded to this room because it was all that was available. As context, I emailed them before booking to ensure they had an appropriate room available. Accessibility and safety: our room was only accessible via a long flight of steep stairs (not via elevator), it would be incredibly difficult for anyone with accessibility needs and was also dangerous for our toddler Service: the front desk staff I spoke to about our room were utterly empathetic and condescending. One lectured me on not letting things like this bother me so much. The quality of the staff was only saved by Choton who was lovely, kind and helpful Condition: general condition of the hotel is tired. In need of some TLC, a coat of paint and a deep clean. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in while in Paris (I've been 12+ times), I'd highly recommend booking a different hotel or stay at a serviced apartment like Edgar Suites. They were amazing (we stayed on a prior trip), had icy cold AC, cool interiors and better neighbourhood locations.
Hans Gehring★★★★★
Amazing views, great location. The building itself and the rooms highlight a wonderful Parisian classical design while offering a cosy vibe. This is small scale, there is attention to detail and the very courteous staff do their best to make guests feel welcome. Because of the small reception and limited amount of reception staff some basic processes may take a wee bit too long too handle (all manual check in...) but I guess that's also part of the charm. The breakfast offer was great. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily come again
Maria Zoneff★★★★★
Hotel Brighton was recommended to us by friends and we absolutely loved our room with a view of the Eiffel Tower and The Louvre. On arrival we were welcomed by Medina and her efficiency then and troughout our stay was exceptional! Always with a friendly smile and always very helpful. Thank you Medina! A welcome gift of sweets and a bottle of wine was a delightful surprise. Great hotel and great service, thank you!

I had a wonderful first stay at this hotel and would happily return on my next visit to Paris. The location is fantastic—right in the heart of the city, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions within easy walking distance. As I was travelling solo for Fashion Week, it was incredibly convenient, and having my favourite café just across the street was an added bonus. One of the biggest highlights was the air conditioning. I visited during one of Paris' worst heatwaves, and the adjustable AC made a huge difference, keeping the room cool and comfortable throughout my stay. Breakfast was included during my six-night stay. While the selection remained the same each morning, there was a good variety of items, so it was still a satisfying way to start the day, even though it became a little repetitive after several days. Overall, this hotel offers a comfortable stay, an unbeatable central location, and excellent air conditioning—something I especially appreciated during the summer heat. I would definitely stay here again.
Bipasha Barman★★★☆☆
The rooms are very tight and the breakfast was not good at all. The bread seemed to be stale and the cheese and meat tasted old. The location is pretty good because you are in walking distance of many restaurants and monuments. The people were quite helpful and friendly.

Great location, clean, and stylish hotel! I recommend the Volney Opéra to anyone looking for a quiet yet well-connected place in the heart of Paris. The Hotel Volney Opéra is just minutes from the Opéra Garnier, Galeries Lafayette, and the metro (Chaussée d’Antin – La Fayette or Opéra stations). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathroom were spotlessly clean, which is very important to me. Excellent value for money. I'll definitely be back!

We stayed at Hotel La Tamise for 6 nights during the June '2026 heat wave. We had the most comfortable room and we stayed cool thru out. The a/c worked great. We enjoyed all the staff... they were exceedingly helpful and made us feel welcome. Nice breakfast.... plenty to choose from. Loved having a nespresso coffee maker in the room, but also enjoyed my daily morning latte made by the b-fast staff. The location adjacent to the Tulleries Gardens, the Lourve, Notre Dame, etc was a plus. The closest metro was just a few steps away and we figured that out pretty quickly. Found hundreds of restaurants nearby and the helpful staff offered many dining suggestions. I recommend Hotel La Tamise, without any reservations.

Boutique hitel with luxurious flair, in an amazing location. The staff made us feel welcome and at home. Great breakfast every day, and great location just next to the Tulleries Gardens and up the road from the Louvre. Rooms were cozy but well appointed. Air conditioning worked great through 2026 heatwave.

Was there for 3 nights last week. This lovely boutique hotel has 19 rooms. It is so conveniently located on a quiet side street just off Rue Rivoli. The morning breakfast is very good in a small room off the front lobby and morning papers as well. The hotel staff is amazing. A special shout out to Kevin who met me and helped me with checking in and assist to room. Saskia was absolutely the best, arranging tickets, taxis, lots of suggestions - and super helpful. I would love to return and highly recommend this hotel.
Daisy Cardenas★★★★☆
The hotel was spotless, beautifully maintained, and the staff provided outstanding service throughout our visit. Everyone was kind, attentive, and did their best to make our stay comfortable. The only downside was the air conditioning. We visited during Paris’ extreme heat wave when temperatures reached 101°F (38°C), and our room on the 5th floor would not cool below 28°C (82°F). We notified the front desk, and they promptly brought us a fan, which we placed directly in front of the AC unit. That made the bedroom comfortable enough to sleep in, especially if we kept the door closed between the bedroom and the bathroom/entryway. However, the rest of the room remained extremely hot. If you’re booking here, I would absolutely recommend the hotel but would avoid staying on the 5th floor. There are only five floors, and the top floor was noticeably warmer than the floors below. I’m guessing the ceiling skylight or roof exposure contributes to the extra heat. We specifically chose hotels with air conditioning because we knew we’d be traveling during the summer, so this was a bit frustrating. We paid extra for a superior room that didn't turn out so superior after all. That said, the staff handled the situation as well as they could, and had they not provided the fan, our stay would have been much less enjoyable.
Natalia Espinar★★★★☆
I wanted to thank all the hotel staff for the wonderful service we received, especially Saleh, who was so attentive at all times. Highly recommended hotel—family-run, well-maintained, and in a great location. The superior room was fantastic. We were very comfortable celebrating our wedding anniversary. We will definitely be back as soon as possible! Hugs to all!

The room was very comfortable and clean. Plenty of space to hang up your clothes, a kettle in the room made it nice to make a coffee in the morning. It was nice to open up the French doors and get fresh air in and to watch the early morning foot traffic as they left for work. It felt like you were part of the community.

Staff where amazing. Could not fault. bottled Water always on hand for free. Fam in room if needed. Room was small but had a balcony. Little outdated in decor in places. But satisfied needs. But clean and maintenence good. Didnt get breakfast.so cant comment on that. Local food Korean style in area. Little too far out for us location wise. For the money we paid was good. Small hotel . Fully working lift. Spiral stairs. Wouldn't stay again jusy due to location for us. But would recommend for anyone on a budget

I chose this hotel because I was drawn to the fact that Baudelaire once stayed here during his early, lesser-known years. From the balcony of my classic-style room, I could even see the National Library — a wonderful setting for anyone who loves literature. The neighborhood is full of charming cafés, restaurants, and boutiques, and the location is fantastic. The Louvre Museum, the Opéra Garnier, and the Palais-Royal are all about a 10-minute walk away. I truly enjoyed staying in such an inspiring and convenient area. That said, I wouldn’t recommend having high expectations for the breakfast😅
Josh Edwards★★★★★
Hotel Baudelaire is conveniently located just north of the Louvre near several metro stops that can get you across the city! The staff are incredible, every single one was very helpful spoke great English and were very accommodating of my poor French attempts (Merci!). The beds were firm. The showers had excellent water pressure, and it was a wonderful base of operations for our week long trip! Thank you to the staff for helping make Paris magical for my wife and our friends!

Hotel Baudelaire Opéra is a solid choice if you’re looking for a well-located, no-frills stay in Paris. As a three-star hotel, it offers good value for money, with decent rooms that are generally clean, even if not perfect. The location is convenient, and the service stands out as particularly friendly and welcoming, making the overall experience easy and comfortable. A reliable option if you want something simple that does the job well. Quietly rated: worth stopping.

**Exceptional service at Malte Astotel** We had a wonderful stay at Malte Astotel. After arriving early from the United States, we asked whether an early check-in might be possible, and the team kindly accommodated us—something we greatly appreciated after a long flight. Angela and Fabio at the front desk were exceptional. Angela checked us in with genuine warmth and patience, took time to explain Paris and offer helpful advice for our visit, brought our luggage, and personally showed us to our room. Both Angela and Fabio made us feel welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. When we mentioned that our room felt a little small, the hotel immediately offered to move us to a larger room. We unfortunately had to decline because we already had timed tickets for the Eiffel Tower, but we truly appreciated how quickly and generously they responded. The breakfast service was equally impressive. Hamady and Fatou did an excellent job serving us: they were attentive, welcoming, and especially thoughtful in accommodating our vegan diet. Their care made breakfast pleasant and easy every morning. This is a four-star hotel, but the personal attention, warmth, and service felt closer to what one might expect from a Ritz-Carlton-level experience. Room size may be something to consider for travelers with substantial luggage or a longer stay, but the outstanding staff and genuine hospitality made a lasting impression. We would gladly stay at Malte Astotel again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paris.

Absolutely outstanding! This was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had in Paris. The location is unbeatable—within walking distance of so many attractions, great restaurants, cafés, and shopping. It made exploring the city incredibly easy. The hotel is beautiful, elegant, and impeccably maintained. Our room was spacious, spotless, tastefully decorated, and extremely comfortable. It truly felt like a luxury boutique hotel. One of the highlights of our stay was the complimentary afternoon snacks. They were absolutely delicious and such a wonderful touch after spending the day exploring Paris. It’s a small detail that made a big difference and made us feel genuinely welcomed. The staff was warm, professional, and always happy to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay and will absolutely return on our next visit to Paris. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly located place to stay.
Ira Z★★★★★
Great place! The hotel is modern, has nice rooms, all stuff speak English very well. Mini bar is complementary and has water and some other non-alcoholic drinks. Also, there is coffee, tea, and pastries downstairs in the breakfast room available at all the time (which is great convenience). I also understood that there are several other Astotel hotels in Paris, so you can walk into any of them to use a bathroom (this is a big convenience for Paris as well). The location is good (you can check Google maps): we were able to walk to Opera and Louvre. There was a minor issue with A/C noise, but this was noticeable only in the bathroom (the bedroom was fine). Would recommend staying there.

We had an amazing experience at this hotel and would highly recommend it. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always seemed genuinely happy to help. They paid attention to the little details that made our stay feel special. We were traveling with our two-year-old, and they thoughtfully provided a crib, baby bath, and sleep sack, which made traveling with a toddler so much easier. It was those small touches that really stood out. The complimentary afternoon snack bar with drinks was a wonderful bonus, and the free minibar was another thoughtful perk that added to the overall experience. These little extras made us feel truly cared for and turned a great stay into an exceptional one. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

welcoming throughout our visit. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and impressively quiet — we could not hear any noise from outside, which made for a very relaxing stay. We were traveling with our toddler and had requested a crib in advance. Everything was perfectly prepared upon arrival, including the crib, blanket, and swaddle, which we really appreciated. The hotel also surprised us with lovely welcome gifts: a water bottle, bag, champagne, and a set of macarons — such a thoughtful touch. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices, and the free snack bar available during the day was extremely convenient. Overall, a fantastic family-friendly hotel in a great location. We would happily stay here again!

Had a fabulous time! We would recommend for many reasons: quiet street, one block from Seine, walking distance to Eiffel Tower, Seine, and a little farther from the Louvre & Notre Dame but still walkable. Hotel is very nice and accommodating. Excellent communication and amenities! Clean rooms, good layout for bathroom with separate toilette room. The lobby also has toilettes for guests. We love the spiral staircase, two elevators and the lobby. The music in the lobby is a nice touch!

I loved our stay here! The staff was amazing—professional and super helpful. The little touches made it even better—- handwritten note and chocolates. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The location was fantastic. It was on the more expensive side but worth it!

We had such a wonderful time with the hotel! The staff (Kateryna) is amazing, friendly and they gifted us a free champagne since it’s my husband’s birthday. The location is great, short walk to the museum and also a really good restaurant Les Antiqures, the bridge and also to Lon Bon marche area. Everything is fantastic, and we highly recommend this!

The rooms are spacious, there is a bathtub, and shower (which is small). The lobby is beautiful. The front desk makes this great hotel outstanding, Anna Lise and Katerina have been wonderful, thank you for the tips, the recommendations, and your kindness.

We had a 4 night stay here and can honestly say it is one of the nicest hotels we have visited. The room was clean, comfortable and well sized. It included a bath in the ensuite which was nice too. The breakfast buffet which was included in our stay had a great choice of cereals, cold meats, breads, cheeses and drinks which would cater to all tastes. The location was excellent for tourists, being close to museums, tourist attractions, and two stations (one Metro, one RER). It was very easy to get everywhere we wanted to go. Last, but definitely not least, the staff of the hotel were lovely. They were friendly, helpful and obliging and provided great advice for us as first time visitors to Paris. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to others and, if this level of service is indicative of the Esprit de France brand, their other hotels must be just as good.

Honestly great location. Great rooms. Great bed and great airconditioning. We could’ve wished for a bit more quality interiors for the price, was a bit a shame with the cheap fake marble table and cheap chairs. but the bed was nice and comfy; so was the pillows and sheets. very clean. there was construction when we were there so we got woken up after having a long night. location is incredible and spacious rooms

Large space for family of four. Very clean. Easy to access. Communication was great. Boarding pass made getting in, storing luggage, and checking out super easy! Large bathroom with washer/dryer. Toilet in sepeate room. Food, shopping & metro all within walking distance. Would highly recommend!

Great 2 bedroom apartment - lots of room and lovely quality amenities. Just wish the carpet on the stairs was better as it didn’t give a good reflection of the building. Great comms from the Quartier Libre team.

Thank you for the accommodation. The apartment finishing exceeded all expectations, especially considering the new building designed specifically for the apartment floor. Thank you very much.

This is a tranquil apartment that is extremely well serviced, in the center of paris. Very clean and great facilities, we went in the middle of a heat wave and the air-conditioning worked wonders.

Tips for Choosing a Family Hotel in Paris

Choosing the right base in Paris requires a slightly different checklist than a romantic getaway or solo trip. You must consider logistics, noise levels, and the physical layout of the property to ensure everyone rests well. The following tips will help you navigate the specific challenges of staying in a historic city center with children.

Prioritize Connecting Rooms or Suites
Standard European hotel rooms are notoriously small, often making it difficult to fit a family of four comfortably. Rather than booking two separate rooms on different floors, look for hotels that guarantee "communicating" or "connecting" doors. Alternatively, a junior suite with a sofa bed can provide the extra square footage needed for luggage and play space.

Check the Bathroom Setup
In older Parisian buildings, bathrooms can be quirky, featuring step-up tubs or very small shower stalls. For families with babies or toddlers, a full-size bathtub is often a necessity. Verify that the hotel room has a tub if you need one, and ask if they provide non-slip mats or step stools for younger children.

Understand the Stroller Situation
Many boutique hotels in the 1st arrondissement are located in historic buildings without elevators or with lifts so small they barely fit two adults. If you are traveling with a stroller, you need to confirm that the elevator is operational and large enough. A hotel with a ground-floor lobby and a proper lift can save your back after a long day of sightseeing.

Look for Breakfast Inclusions
Eating breakfast at a Parisian café every morning can be expensive and time-consuming with hungry children. Booking a rate that includes the hotel breakfast buffet is often the most efficient option. It allows kids to eat immediately upon waking and gives parents a chance to caffeinate before heading out to the Tuileries.

Consider Noise and Light
Rooms facing the street offer beautiful views of the Parisian architecture but can be noisy from early morning traffic and late-night revelers. For light sleepers, request a courtyard-facing room. These are typically quieter and darker, which helps children adjust to the time zone and sleep past sunrise.

The magic of staying near the Jardin des Tuileries is the ability to slow down. You do not have to rush from monument to monument; you can simply cross the street, rent a small wooden sailboat to push in the fountain, and watch your children play among the statues. It is these quiet moments that often define a family trip to Paris.

By choosing a hotel that understands the needs of families, you create a soft landing pad in the middle of a bustling city. Whether you opt for a five-star palace or a charming boutique residence, the proximity to this central garden ensures that your family is never far from fresh air, history, and a little bit of Parisian magic.
