Finding a great meal in the heart of Paris often feels like a trade-off between convenience and quality. The area surrounding Place de la Concorde is undeniably majestic, serving as a crossroads between the Tuileries Garden, the Champs-Élysées, and the Seine. Yet, for the observant diner, this historic district holds a secret: a vibrant and diverse halal dining scene.
Navigating the culinary landscape of the 1st and 8th arrondissements can be overwhelming, especially when you are looking for specific dietary requirements. Tourists and locals alike often worry that sticking to halal options means sacrificing the authentic Parisian bistro experience. Fortunately, the reality is quite the opposite.
This guide is designed to cut through the noise and direct you to the best quality food without the guesswork. We have scoured the streets, side alleys, and market corners to find establishments that prioritize both flavor and integrity. Whether you are craving a quick shawarma after a museum visit or a sit-down dinner with a view, this list has you covered.
We understand that "halal" encompasses a spectrum of preferences, from strictly Zabiha meat to alcohol-free environments. Therefore, we have included a variety of venues that cater to different levels of observance. Our focus is on places that are transparent about their sourcing and beloved by the local community.
From the bustling energy of Rue de Rivoli to the quieter streets near the Madeleine, these restaurants offer a welcome respite from the tourist traps. Each location has been selected for its proximity to the Place de la Concorde, ensuring you spend less time traveling and more time savoring your meal.
Before we dive into the specific locations, it is worth noting that Paris is a city of constant evolution. Menus change, hours shift, and new gems open regularly. However, the establishments listed below have established themselves as reliable staples in the area.
Now, let’s explore the best halal dining experiences you can find within a short walk of the iconic Obelisk.

Loved the chicken here, it was so juicy and tender. We ordered a curry Poulet which came with two sides and the salad. It was a very generous portion and the restaurant was air conditioned (we dined during the heatwave so really helped). The menu was halal and the server was very courteous and entertained us in English.

I love this place. Their food is very delicious and every time I come to France, I drive straight out to this place to eat there. Mix plates are so full and you can even share as the portions are very big. It’s almost like a mom and Pop store so the service is very good. The place is clean and comfortable seating.

Turkish kebab spot that gives generous portions. Came here for dinner after a long day of sightseeing and we wanted to grab something to eat back in our hotel. They do have seating available. Credit cards and cash accepted. The kebabs come with fries on the side and a tasty sauce. They do have vegetarian options (falafel).

A fantastic spot with amazing flavor—loved the lamb and the unique Middle Eastern twist on the Caesar salad! (4.5 Stars)
We stopped by Los Brothers and had an absolute treat of a meal! The grilled meats and fresh salads here really stand out from your typical fast-casual spot.
The Lamb Skewers: Cooked to perfection—tender, full of rich flavor, and beautifully seasoned. If you enjoy authentic, well-spiced grilled lamb, this is a must-order.
The Caesar Salad (Priya’s absolute favorite!): Usually, we find standard European or original Caesar salads a bit plain or overly heavy, but Los Brothers does an incredible Middle Eastern/spiced take on it. Packed with flavorful chicken and fresh toppings, it completely elevated the dish. It was easily the star of the table!
The Bulgur Wheat: A brilliant side option instead of heavy starches—warm, comforting, and wonderfully seasoned.
Minor feedback: The only real downside was the french fries, which turned out a bit too oily and soggy for our taste, so we ended up leaving most of them behind.
That small point aside, everything else was a solid 4.5/5 stars. Great food, generous portions, and wonderful flavors. We will definitely be back when we want a high-protein, flavorful bite in Paris!

Avoid this place at all cost the food was absolutely appalling disgusting chips tasted like a strange flavour from the oil that I couldn't even understand. The onions tasted foul and off. The staff were so so so so rude including the guy almost sweating directly on to the food. the food speaks for itself truly truly disgusting. Avoid this at all costs go across the road. This place needs learn how to speak to customers and deliver decent food. clean your oil fry the chips smile and take the money.
It smells off!! I am so angry i paid for this

We went to Los Brothers for our last dinner in Paris, and wow — what a way to end the trip.
The place was absolutely buzzing. People were constantly coming and going, and it was clear this spot is popular for a reason. Even with how busy they were, the service was top notch. The staff stayed on top of everything, made sure we had what we needed, and kept things moving without ever making us feel rushed.
We ordered the platter to share, and it was so good. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. It’s one of those meals where you keep saying, “You have to try this,” back and forth across the table. Every bite delivered.
One of the best parts? Everything is halal, which made it an easy and comfortable choice for us.
Huge thank you to the team at Los Brothers for such a great experience. Keep killing it — we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Paris!

It is a must to try this restaurant especially for Muslim travellers. Amazing service, love the menu and the food! There is definitely something for everybody. Pls support this halal establishment if you are in Paris. On our recent visit there are no long lines for sure. The staff are humble and always helpful. Easy to get to on foot or by uber.

This is a short walk from Roosevelt Station, or about 15 mins walk from L’arc de Triomphe. We had dinner here, the service was decent as was the decor. The kids menus are superb, with very generous portions and will fill any child 7 or below easily. Drinks were super with great options.
Lamb shank was delicious.
However, the fried chicken steak and the house steak were quite dry and chewy, they were not great. That said, sides were all perfect. Gratin dauphinois was superb. The steak could have been an off-night (unlikely as we ordered two and they were the same!). Not amazing but still worth a visit as it’s not easy to get halal steak in Paris.
All in all a great place to come and try.

The ambience is great..very cozy, chique vibes. Food comes out fast..ate mostly chicken. It's very rich and scrumptious. I couldn't finish all of it..but highly recommend. It's in a very trendy part of Paris. As a tourist I enjoyed it.

I discovered this halal restaurant online while visiting Paris, and it turned out to be quite easy to locate. I would definitely recommend booking in advance, as it can get fairly busy.
The food itself was enjoyable. I had the hamburger, which was decent, while my partner ordered the chicken and rice dish, which was particularly well-prepared and full of flavour. Overall, the quality of the food and the convenient location made for a good dining experience.
Unfortunately, the service did not match the standard of the food. The staff’s facial expressions and body language felt unwelcoming, which made us somewhat uncomfortable during our visit. To add to this, we were surprised when a tip was requested at the end, despite the lacklustre service.
In summary, while the food and location are definite positives, the service leaves room for improvement.

From the moment we arrived at Amazonia, we knew we were in for something special. The entire experience was simply mind-blowing. Every dish that arrived at our table was a masterpiece, beautifully presented, bursting with flavour, and cooked to perfection. The attention to detail was exceptional. Hats off to the talented chef and the owner for creating such an unforgettable dining experience.
As a halal restaurant, Amazonia exceeded every expectation. The menu is outstanding, and their non-alcoholic cocktails are some of the best we’ve ever tasted, creative, refreshing, and the perfect complement to the food.
What truly set this restaurant apart was the impeccable service. Duniya looked after us throughout the evening with genuine warmth, professionalism, and care. After every course, fresh napkins and new cutlery were provided before the next dish was served, a level of attention to detail that you rarely experience, even in many fine dining establishments. It made us feel incredibly well looked after.
The atmosphere is elegant, vibrant, and luxurious, making it the perfect place for a special occasion or simply to enjoy an extraordinary meal. I am still mesmerised by the entire experience and can’t stop thinking about the incredible food, outstanding hospitality, and beautiful ambience.
Without a doubt, this is one of the finest halal dining experiences we’ve ever had in Paris. We will definitely be returning and recommending Amazonia to everyone we know. A well-deserved 5 stars!

The food in the place is amazing, very tasty and delicious. It is very much on the level of a high end place.
Service was equally great and food came out to us quickly. We barely waited 5-10 mins.
On the other hand The atmosphere, although good overall, is not on the fancy, 60€ per plate level. There were no printed menus and tables were a bit small. It is more suitable for a 20-30€ restaurant rather than a "fancy" place.

A great place to eat if you're in the 8th. Fresh products, excellent service. Just a stone's throw from the Champs Elysées. Don’t hesitate.

I had an exceptional experience at the restaurant, mainly due to Pierre's outstanding customer service. The ambience was inviting, creating the perfect setting for a romantic dinner. The cocktails were fantastic; I requested a very sour cocktail, and the bartender expertly crafted a drink bursting with flavour.
The food was nothing short of phenomenal. The filet mignon was tender and perfectly cooked, while the octopus salad offered a delightful medley of textures and flavours that made each bite memorable. The ceviche was refreshingly zesty, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients.
Overall, the serene and intimate atmosphere made it an ideal spot for a special evening. It truly was a lovely experience that I forget.

This was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in Paris. The fact that it’s halal makes it even better. I had the steak and the duck and both were amazing. I’m from Texas and I’ll say it straight up this steak tasted better than anything I’ve had back home.
The owner Beja was super genuine and really took care of me. It was my first time ever trying duck and he was very patient and made sure I liked it which I definitely did lol. You can tell he actually cares about the food and the people he serves.

Honestly one of the best places I’ve been to. Their food is authentically French and halal too. Honestly, one of the best places in Paris. The service is impeccable. Our server Anees was excellent - he was extremely attentive, made excellent suggestions, and was constantly checking in. It’s also quite busy well into the night. The French onion soup is particularly amazing, but everything on the menu deserves a try. Would definitely come back here.

A very authentic and comforting French dinner tonight in Paris. The fish soup had a rich fish flavour and felt very traditional. The Escalope Normande was tender, with a creamy mushroom Normandy sauce that had a slightly sour tang, making it feel genuinely French and rustic. They also served a complimentary tuna toast, which was a lovely surprise. The portions were very generous and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I wanted to order dessert too, but I was simply too full by the end!

The duck tasted better than any duck I’ve ever had. The French onion soup, duck, potatoes, and crème brûlée rounded out our meal and all were delicious. The chicken Normandy portion looked small but was more than enough.

Great staffs and restaurant atmosphere. Ordered the duck confit, onion soup and creme brulee, everything was delicious. The serving could take some time to get to your table, but definitely worth it. The duck are so soft, the meat falling off the bones, french onion soup also very tasty that we keep munching it with the bread served.
Located near to Gallerie Lafayette Haussman which you can enjoy Paris Eiffel Tower, very well located. I recommend for those who wish to enjoy Halal French cuisines.

very disappointed from their service. we just asked glass for our water but they said no.
and also prices are expensive for such kind of small wraps and meals. Respect tourists who chose and come to your small cafe, guys.
Update after the owner's response:
I read the previous reviews, and almost 90% of the 1-star ratings mentioned the rude attitude of the staff. Unfortunately, I experienced the same thing myself.
We simply asked for five glasses so we could drink the water we had with us. I don't think providing five glasses would have cost your business much. How we choose to spend our money and what we decide to drink is our own choice. Apparently, ordering your already expensive food wasn't enough, and even a few cups were considered too much to ask.
As a result, in a crowded café, the five of us had to take turns drinking directly from a 1.5-liter bottle. Moments like these are what truly define the quality of customer service.
Thank you for your "hospitality" and "kindness."

VERY RUDE SERVER!!!
We went here for a quick bite. We were going to grab food and either quickly eat there or take it to picnic at the eiffel tour.
I like reading reviews before I go and people were taking about the good service. WHAT A LIE!!!
My husband was ordering he was asked if it was take out or dine in. He said we'll dine in if that's cool, since they're were plenty others dining in, and was told that we couldn't dine in because dine in prices were more. So we said that's fine, we'll take it to go. But the server this whole time was practically yelling at my husband he was so rude. We ordered a pizza and 2 drinks and waited. As we were waking our, my husband grabbed our order while I grabbed our 2 drinks. The SAME GUY THAT TOOK ORDER AND WAS RUDE came yelling after us again demanding to see the receipt, which he never gave us, and asking us if we paid for the 2 drinks. HE TOOK OUR ORDER!! HE TOOK OUR MONEY!! And then embarrassingly putting us on the spot in front of everyone?!?! What an awful experience!
It's cheaper than other places but not worth the service you'll get. The food is fine/ good. Nor horrible, but not amazing either.
The pizza was very thin crust, which I actually enjoy but some may not. Flavours were good. Typing were also good, I would say not enough but they weren't skipped on either. Cheese was also a good cheese and enjoyable.
I was actually excited about this place, chose them myself, and was so happy to be helping a fellow brother. But it really left a sour taste in my mouth.

A ver nice place with a lay down atmosphere in a calmer street. The decoration is lively and the staff is really friendly. All dishes were good and had interesting flavours. An unexpected gem. We spoke with the owner several times and also found the wait staff to be a delight. The food is healthy, creative, flavorful, and thoroughly satisfying. If you like Moroccan food or hummus this is a must! I recommend everything I tried: the hummus sampler, falafel, chicken with olives, and desserts (multiple; my dining partner and I enjoyed alternating between the coconut/citron and flan/orange flower varieties).
The interior design is fantastic, too - don't sleep on checking out the toilet (not joking). The music was also fantastic (Elvis et al. earlier in the evening, then instrumental middle eastern).
A lovingly and thoughtfully created dining experience and one of only two places that I made a point of eating at twice while in Paris.
Viren Aggarwal★★★☆☆
It's difficult to find interesting and good quality food while traveling and Paris has many dodgy touristy restaurants on every corner.
Yoummah was a great find. It's a blend of Arabic North African cuisine- Tunisian, Algerian, Moroccan.
The decor is very calming. The ladies serving and cooking are charming and polite.
The food- we had the variety hummus plate. Unfortunately it was hard to distinguish between the various versions of hummus. Though I could feel that the food was good quality, it certainly packed in flavor.
Then I came for their aubergine dishes and that day the aubergine did not get delivered. Well, if it's 1/3 of your menu then how come there were no contingency plans? Meaning every grocery store sells good quality aubergine in France/Paris. A run to the grocery store would have done the trick....so disappointing.
I had the best food (similar type of food) in Essaouria, Morocco. The flavors there were unbelievably great.
Kelly★★★★★
Yoummah is a great place for middle-east food! I got the 35€ menu and was very satisfied with the amount of food but also the quality that came with it! You get a taste of their different appetizers + a choice of main dish + dessert! The portions are huge and I left the restaurant completely full 🙂 the only small regret is the lack of nicer desserts, their current ones have nothing too special, but I will definitely come back!

O M G. This place was amazing!!! Our table had both detox drinks (delicious!), the chicken bites to share (a must), the chicken tagine (sublime), the falafels (moist and delicious, not even close to dry like most falafels I’ve had), and the quinoa and veggies (a party in your mouth). Honestly, I’m so disappointed we only found this place right before we were about to leave. The best meal I’ve had in Paris this whole week. Worth the trek, no matter what part of Paris you’re in. SO GOOD!

Tips for Dining Halal Near Place de la Concorde
Navigating the Parisian dining scene with dietary restrictions requires a bit of local savvy. While the restaurants listed above are excellent starting points, knowing how to dine in this specific arrondissement will enhance your experience significantly. Here are a few professional tips to ensure your meals are both satisfying and stress-free.
Verify the Certification: While many restaurants advertise as "halal," standards can vary. Do not hesitate to ask the staff directly if the meat is sourced from a certified provider. In this area of Paris, many upscale restaurants are "partially halal" or offer halal options on specific days, so always confirm before ordering.
Be Mindful of Alcohol Service: In France, it is very common for even halal meat restaurants to serve alcohol. If you require a strictly alcohol-free environment, you should look specifically for "restaurant sans alcool" or confirm the policy via phone before reserving a table.
Plan Around Prayer Times: If you are visiting for Jummah or daily prayers, the area near Concorde is limited regarding mosques. The closest significant prayer spaces are towards the Grand Mosque of Paris or in the 11th arrondissement. It is wise to plan your meal times around your transport schedule to these areas.
Explore the "Traiteurs" and Street Food: For a quick bite between sightseeing, look for "traiteurs" (caterers/delis) or street food windows. Places near the Tuileries often offer excellent grilled chicken or merguez sandwiches that are perfect for a picnic in the garden, allowing you to enjoy the view without a long sit-down lunch.
Check for "Vegan/Vegetarian" Options: If you are dining with a group that has mixed dietary needs, many halal restaurants in central Paris are excellent at accommodating vegetarians. However, if a venue doesn’t serve halal meat, a vegetarian meal is always a safe fallback, ensuring you still get to enjoy the ambiance of the neighborhood.
The area surrounding Place de la Concorde is far more than just a transit point; it is a culinary neighborhood waiting to be discovered. By choosing the right spots, you can enjoy the rich flavors of Middle Eastern, Indian, and French fusion cuisine while staying true to your dietary principles.
Whether you are grabbing a quick bite on your way to the Louvre or settling in for a long dinner after a walk down the Champs-Élysées, these halal options prove that you do not have to compromise on taste or location. Bon appétit!
