Finding the perfect place to stay can transform a simple Parisian getaway into an unforgettable experience. The area surrounding the Avenue des Champs-Élysées is not just a geographic center; it is the beating heart of the city’s luxury, culture, and history. Whether you are visiting for business, a romantic escape, or a family vacation, the right hotel serves as your sanctuary from the vibrant energy of the streets below.
The 8th arrondissement offers a unique blend of iconic landmarks, haute couture boutiques, and world-class dining. Staying here means you are steps away from the Arc de Triomphe, the Grand Palais, and the serene paths of the Jardins des Tuileries. However, with such a high density of prestigious addresses, choosing the right accommodation can feel overwhelming.
This guide cuts through the noise by curating a list of the twelve best hotels near the Champs-Élysées. We have analyzed location, service quality, design, and guest experience to provide you with options that range from opulent palace-style residences to intimate boutique hideaways. Our goal is to help you find a hotel that not only matches your budget but exceeds your expectations.
Understanding the nuances of the neighborhood is key to a great stay. The lower end of the avenue, near the Place de la Concorde, offers a more serene, garden-adjacent atmosphere, while the upper end near the Arc de Triomphe buzzes with constant activity. The side streets, such as Avenue Montaigne and Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, are the epicenters of Parisian luxury and quiet elegance.
We have prioritized properties that offer more than just a bed for the night. The hotels selected below are recognized for their exceptional concierge services, which can secure reservations at fully booked restaurants or arrange private museum viewings. In a city where connections matter, staying at a well-regarded hotel can unlock experiences that are otherwise inaccessible to the average traveler.
Quality of sleep and wellness amenities are also paramount in our evaluation. After a long day of walking the cobblestone streets or navigating the metro, returning to a hotel with a world-class spa, a quiet courtyard, or a plush, soundproofed room is essential. We have ensured that every property on this list provides a high standard of comfort and a distinct personality.
Without further delay, here is our curated selection of the finest accommodations in this legendary district.

We had a great stay at citizenM Champs Elysees. It’s in a very good location, and the rooms and common areas were clean. We checked in at night and were welcomed by Anass and Maud. They were very friendly and made us feel at home throughout our 9 days there. In fact, the entire night staff was exceptional and I appreciate how they treated us. The day staff was good as well, but they were a bit inconsistent (it took a couple requests for them to replace our soaps, and communicate accurate information about room cleaning). We will definitely stay here again.

My primary reasons to choose this hotel were my membership and the location of it. Latter is unbeatable, you will stay next door to Champs Elysees within walking distance (

The hotel is very nice. The location and the indoor and outdoor seating areas are ideal. I didn’t like the room very much, but I only used it for sleeping, so it wasn’t a big issue.
Most of the time I stayed in the lobby, where the staff are very friendly. I especially want to mention Anass. He is the nicest person I have ever met. He treats both colleagues and guests with great care, and everyone leaves happy and satisfied after he helps them. He provides excellent customer service and always tries to keep everyone happy.
A huge thank you to Anass. He is not only kind but also very funny. When he had his day off, it really felt like something was missing. I will choose this hotel again next time because of him. He truly deserves to be promoted, and I hope he is well appreciated.

I recently stayed at citizenM Paris Champs-Élysées, and while the location is outstanding, the room itself had several drawbacks.
The hotel is within walking distance of many of Paris’s most popular monuments, excellent shopping, and a great mix of local French and American restaurants, making it an ideal base for sightseeing.
However, the rooms are extremely small. The bed is pushed against the wall, so you have to climb in and out from the foot of the bed. The mini refrigerator is very small and doesn’t hold much, and there is no microwave. There is also no luggage rack, making it difficult to store or access your suitcase comfortably.
One design feature to be aware of is the bathroom layout. The sink is located in the main room outside the enclosed bathroom, so be careful when opening the bathroom door—it can easily hit someone standing at the sink.
Overall, the unbeatable location is the hotel’s biggest advantage, but travelers who value larger rooms or additional conveniences may find the accommodations too compact.
Marcos III Perez★★★★★
This small hotel is sitting at the heart of Paris. The location is amazing with newrby restaurants and transport system (bus and train). Rooms are small but smartly constructed with modern interior design. They interestingly put the sink outside the bathroom, which allowed more space for the shower. The bed is moderately firm which promotes a good sleep. Everything can be controlled via app, and the check in experience was also quick and high tech.

We were so satisfied with this hotel during our first visit to Paris that we chose it again for our second trip. The staff and hotel service are truly top-notch. Especially when we arrived from the airport, it was still a bit early for check-in, but they were incredibly helpful and gave us our room early. This was a wonderful gesture because we were genuinely exhausted. The location of the hotel is perfect; you can walk to almost all the tourist attractions, and it's amazing for popping back into your room during the day while spending time on the Champs-Élysées. We were also very pleased with the in-hotel services; our room was cleaned multiple times throughout the day. Thank you for everything—our destination for all future Paris trips is officially set! 😉

We stayed in 2 rooms for 4 nights. 9-13 August 2026.
The location is unique — that’s mainly why I’m giving it a good rating.
As for the staff and the restaurant, they were okay.
During check-in, I asked the receptionist Vincent to change one of the double rooms for my daughters to a twin room. Surprisingly, he said there would be a 200€ charge per night for this which I didn’t accept and stayed as is. You can usually get that for free at other highly rated hotels.
One more thing: don’t expect special treatment or a late check-out here, not even by one hour, regardless of how many nights or rooms you booked.
We will definitely come back again because of the location.
Delandjeff Moore★★★★☆
Outstanding staff who generally were very attentive to our needs. One being our room was not made up and they rectified it immediately. There seemed to be a communication disconnect with Housekeeping as we had to continually request non decaf coffee ultimately we just gave up. The food in the restaurant was disappointing overall. The one evening we ate at the hotel, I would not eat the dishes served they were that disappointing.
Overall this is a very good property with a good location. Would I stay here again? No.

The Marriott Champs-Élysées is all about its fantastic location, right in the heart of the Champs-Élysées. Being surrounded by some of Paris’s best shopping, dining, and attractions makes it an excellent base for exploring the city.
The hotel itself was very nice, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were attentive, friendly, and always willing to help, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
If you’re looking for a hotel with an unbeatable location in Paris, this is a great choice. Highly recommended.

Besides the excellent location, all else was disappointing. Firstly, there was smell of paint in the room for all 5 days. Secondly, with some construction going on, the front desk did not even inform us upon our check in. There was drilling and knocking noises in the mornings. On our last day today, the fire alarm went off. There was no announcement at all if it was a false alarm.
On our first day of check in, the housekeeper from Philippines was very helpful. It left us with a great impression. Subsequently, the housekeeper ladies were generally unfriendly and did not replenish water for 2 days. On 6 Dec 2025, the mugs were not washed and coffee pods were not refilled. Two new towels were replenished instead of three. On 7 Dec 2025, when we finally decided we should call the conceige for water, although they were apologetic, the housekeeper still did not replenish the water immediately.
Unlike Marriot County Hall London who actually made an announcement for fire alarm testing, this Marriot Champs Elysees Paris did not inform us when the loud fire alarm went off. When they knew it's our wedding anniversary from the booking, Marriot London decorated the room and even gave us a hand written card and cookies while Champs Elysees did not do anything other than a simple wish at check in.
Such a great difference between these two Marriot hotels.

I can't say enough about how amazing the staff at the hotel was during our stay. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. The boutique hotel itself is a charming 1924 jewel, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The location couldn’t be better, easy to get to everything you want to see and places to dine and shop. We loved our stay and would visit again.
joao Bello★☆☆☆☆
My experience at the Hotel Mathis was deeply disappointing and far below what the property suggests online.
The room itself was already a letdown: the bed was uncomfortable, clearly worn out, and did not provide a proper night’s sleep. Even more concerning was the lack of adequate air conditioning — which made the stay unnecessarily unpleasant.
The infrastructure only made things worse. The elevator was unreliable and poorly, adding a layer of inconvenience that should not exist in a hotel of this category.
Breakfast was equally underwhelming: limited options, poor quality, and a general lack of care in both presentation and replenishment. It felt neglected rather than curated.
However, the most frustrating aspect was the staff. They appeared unprepared, unresponsive, and lacking basic hospitality training. Instead of addressing issues efficiently, there was a noticeable absence of ownership and professionalism.
Overall, this is not a case of minor shortcomings — it is a consistent pattern of poor standards across multiple aspects of the stay. The gap between what is advertised and what is delivered is simply unacceptable.
Lynn Minotti★★★★★
Perfect hotel to stay in Paris. Very clean, well located, renovated rooms and very helpful staff. Strongly recommend it!
Cesar Lopez★☆☆☆☆
had a very disappointing experience at Hotel Mathis in Paris. For a property that presents itself as a 4-star hotel, not having air conditioning available to guests is already questionable.
Since air conditioning is a mandatory request for a 4 star hotel, booking should reconsider it
cesar lopez★☆☆☆☆
The hotel’s listing on Booking.com contains inaccurate information that creates expectations which the property does not actually meet. This is not a minor detail — it is a clear case of misleading representation in the public listing.
For context, I have booked more than 50 hotel stays through Booking.com, and this is the first time I have encountered a hotel without air conditioning while still presenting itself as a 4-star property.
What is even more surprising is that the hotel presents itself and charges prices consistent with a 4-star establishment. Based on the standards, service, and overall experience, this property would struggle to meet what many travelers would consider a 2-star level.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a really pleasant experience. The location is excellent — very close to the tram and bus stations, which made it super convenient to get around the city.
The room was a bit small, but it was clean, comfortable, and perfectly fine for a short stay. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with delicious chocolates, which was such a lovely touch.
A special mention to Moosa at the front desk — he was incredibly kind, gentle, and always ready to help with a smile. His friendly attitude really made our stay even better.
arash nikyar★★★★☆
We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. The hotel and rooms are small but cozy and clean. The heating in room was excellent considering the cold weather during Christmas. The hotel is perfectly located on Champs-Élysées and a few meters away from the metro station. The hotel staff were nice and friendly except for some of the front desk personel who I felt were unbothered to even greet you. The classic double room is too small and really not ideal for two people and I recommend booking the superior room which is more spacious. The main downside of the hotel was the breakfast which is definitely not up to the standards of a 4-star hotel. Overall, I recommend this hotel if you prioritize staying near the Champs-Élysées.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Napoléon and truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience for our Paris weekend getaway.
From the moment we arrived, every member of the team was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. A special thank you to Meenakshi at the front desk for making us feel so welcome throughout our stay.
Our corner room was absolutely beautiful, with spectacular views that made the whole experience even more memorable. The atmosphere of the hotel perfectly combines Parisian elegance with warm and genuine hospitality.
We also had a great experience at the bar and would love to thank the bartender as well, although unfortunately we didn’t catch his name.
Without any doubt, we will return to Hotel Napoléon on our next trip to Paris and happily recommend it to friends and family.

Hotel Napoleon exceeded every expectation and completely redefined what exceptional guest service looks like.
From the moment we booked our stay, it was clear that guest service was more than a slogan, it was the foundation of everything they do. As iPrefer Titanium members, we were proactively upgraded to the Imperial Suite weeks before our arrival, but what truly impressed us was the level of personalized service throughout our stay.
Every member of the staff seemed to know us by name before we even arrived. They took the time to learn our preferences, anticipate our needs, and make us feel genuinely welcomed. The service never felt forced or scripted, it felt sincere.
The attention to detail was remarkable. Complimentary beverages, thoughtful amenities, room service without delivery fees, and even custom Hotel Napoleon candles added to the experience, but it was the people who made the difference. Whether at the front desk, concierge, housekeeping, or dining venues, every interaction felt warm and personal.
Housekeeping was exceptional. Fresh water was always available, the room was refreshed throughout the day, and every detail was handled effortlessly. We never had to ask for anything because the staff seemed to anticipate what we needed before we did.
Luxury hotels often offer beautiful rooms and excellent locations. Hotel Napoleon offers something much harder to find: a team that genuinely cares about its guests and takes pride in creating unforgettable experiences.
After traveling extensively and staying at many luxury hotels around the world, Hotel Napoleon has set a new standard for hospitality for our family. We left feeling less like guests and more like valued friends.
We cannot wait to return.

I had a wonderful stay at Numa Paris Champs-Élysées and would happily stay here again.
As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe in this neighborhood. I went for several runs, including running to the stadium and around the area, and I always felt comfortable, even early in the morning.
I stayed in Room 503, which had a lovely balcony with a beautiful view. The room and bathroom were spotless, and everything felt modern and well maintained. The furniture looked very new during my stay in July 2026.
The location is excellent, with many attractions, cafés, and restaurants within walking distance.
The only thing to mention is that the hotel is on a busy street. If you are a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, you may hear traffic, trucks, and city sounds in the morning. However, if that doesn't bother you, everything else is perfect.
I have no negative comments and would definitely recommend staying here.
Baran Ali Sagir★★★★★
The room we stayed in was large by Grand standards, which made a noticeable difference in comfort. The rooms are clean, modern, and well maintained.
Overall security throughout the property is excellent — every access point is controlled by a code, which gives a strong sense of safety and professionalism.
The location is outstanding. Everything is easily accessible, and it truly adds significant value to the overall experience.
Overall, a very well-managed property that delivers comfort, security, and an excellent location.
Fatma Tawfik★★★★★
Speaking about the location, the hotel is just a few steps away from the Champs-Élysées. There are many restaurants right below the hotel, and a supermarket is also within walking distance.
As for the hotel itself, it is very safe and clean. There is a simple entrance and lobby with a reception desk that is staffed 24 hours a day. There is an elevator, but there is no daily housekeeping service unless requested, and it is subject to an extra charge. The bed is fairly comfortable, but the room is considered small and narrow, even though I stayed in the largest room available.
The staff are absolutely wonderful. I was initially staying in a room on a lower floor, and when I requested a higher floor, they moved me the next day. This made me very happy and truly reflects their kindness and excellent service. I would definitely choose this hotel again every time I travel to Paris.
Jason Matos★★★★★
We booked a 7 day stay here and were thankful for this hotel.
Located just a few hundred feet off the main strip, this felt like an exceptionally central location to stay in Paris, allowing us to walk to so many locations all under an hour, average of 30-45 minutes.
The hotel acts a bit differently than others, allowing the guest to access what they require, when they require it- such as linens, bathroom accessories and other items.
Coffee and tea included in the room.
Recommend if you’re looking for something more than a hostel but not as expensive as a higher end hotel.
Very modern in all their approaches.
Vanessa Wan★★★★★
A very good hotel to stay especially in Paris 5/5!
Room - very clean but self service so if you need new towels and toilet roll you have to get it yourself. It’s a busy road so it could be loud and they do provide ear plugs but sleep was good.
Location - perfect location very central and easy to get to from metro. If shopping around and need to drop shopping it’s easy to do that and go back shopping.
Service - very friendly staff. One didn’t say hi or greet us while sitting there but all the other staff was nice and polite.
We would defo stay here again if we come to Paris. We booked the biggest room as some rooms are smaller.

Stunning aesthetics & exceptional service recovery by Enzo!
From a design standpoint, the property is everything a Relais & Châteaux hotel should be. The aesthetics are rich, moody, and executed with an incredible attention to detail. I typically avoid staying right off the Champs-Élysées area due to the traffic and noise, but this hotel felt like a quiet oasis completely removed from the chaos outside.
What really made our stay memorable, however, was the service recovery. Upon arrival, our room wasn't quite ready. While this could have been a frustrating start, Enzo handled the situation flawlessly. He was attentive, deeply apologetic, and did everything he could to make up for it; ultimately upgrading us to a spectacular suite. His professionalism set a wonderful tone for the trip and he checked in with us on multiple occasions throughout our stay!
If I had to note one area for awareness, it's that the property seemed a bit understaffed at times; we noticed some minor operational friction, like delayed coffee at breakfast, and could tell the team was working hard to keep up. That said, it didn't disrupt our experience or cause any real issues for us.
We only wished we could have stayed longer. We had a lovely time and will definitely be back!

Recently, my husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Hôtel Balzac to celebrate his 40th birthday, and I wanted to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude.
The hotel and its wonderful team not only exceeded our expectations, but played such a special part in making our time in Paris truly memorable. From the beautiful setting to the exceptional service, every detail contributed to a wonderful celebration.
A special thank you to Assistant Manager Céline, as well as Élise and Nicholas, for their kindness, warmth and attention throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to make us feel so welcome and made our experience all the more special.
The staff also helped us navigate the Tour de France and went above and beyond to help us while all of the roads were blocked.
We are already looking forward to returning to Hôtel Balzac and enjoying its timeless charm and wonderful hospitality once again.
With our warmest thanks,

We chose this hotel for our honeymoon in Paris expecting the standards of a true 5-star experience: safety, cleanliness, comfort, and professionalism. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing.
From the very first day, there was a serious leak from the bathtub that flooded the bathroom floor. Staff came to remove the water and informed us it would be fixed immediately. Later, maintenance explained that the bathtub curtain was too short and needed replacement. Shockingly, the issue was not properly resolved until THREE days later — almost half of our entire stay, which was only one week.
What upset us even more was the security issue. We had cash stored inside the room safe, protected with a password, yet we later found the safe open and cash missing. This completely ruined our sense of trust and safety during what was supposed to be a special honeymoon trip.
For a hotel presenting itself as a luxury 5-star property, this level of maintenance delay and security failure is simply unacceptable.
We are deeply disappointed with how this experience affected such an important moment in our lives, and we truly expected much better from this hotel.
The most frustrating part is that after reporting the missing cash, management informed us they would conduct an investigation. However, we have still not received any meaningful response or update.
For such a serious issue, the lack of urgency, professionalism, and care shown toward guests is honestly shocking for a 5-star hotel.

Our recent stay at Hôtel Barrière Le Fouquet's Paris exceeded expectations in every respect. Further, Joffray, the Head Concierge, was exceptionally accommodating and made our stay completely unforgettable through his remarkable attentiveness, professionalism, and ability to make anything possible.
The hospitality throughout the property was exceptional. Room service, the restaurant teams, housekeeping, and all hotel staff consistently delivered a level of attentiveness and service that made the experience both luxurious and effortless.

Outstanding service . I haven't experienced customer service like this post Covid and let me tell you I stay at a lot of fancy places . To be honest I stay at more fancy places but the customer service at this hotel - is a different level of kindness Food was delicious . Sheets and bedding was top of the line . Really enjoyed my stay and I recommend .

Outstanding Service by Moez
We had a truly wonderful experience at Fouquet’s Hotel in Paris, and a big part of that was thanks to Moezz. From the moment we interacted with him, he was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely professional.
Moez went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of, always with a warm smile and a positive attitude. His attention to detail and willingness to help made our stay smooth, enjoyable, and memorable.
He is a true asset to Fouquet’s Hotel, and his excellent service greatly enhanced our overall experience. We sincerely appreciate his dedication and would highly recommend the hotel because of staff members like Moezz.
Thank you, Moez, for making our stay so special!

Birthday trip for the wife. Booked last minute but they had a room open for us for the early AM arrival and upgraded for her. First class service and treatment. The spa is perfect after a long day of walking. Breakfast was spot on with views of the Champs. Incredible weekend. Once of the best stays I've ever had. Thank you to the staff.

Tips for Choosing Your Hotel near the Champs-Élysées
Selecting a hotel in such a prestigious area requires careful consideration of your personal travel style and logistical needs. While the location is universally excellent, the character of each hotel varies dramatically. Here are some expert tips to help you navigate the booking process and ensure you select a property that feels tailored to your specific journey.
Consider the Noise Level: The Champs-Élysées is one of the busiest avenues in the world, with traffic and crowds active until late at night. If you are a light sleeper, prioritize hotels located on the quieter side streets, such as Rue de Berri or Avenue George V, or request a courtyard-facing room. Modern hotels often have double-glazed windows, but a room facing a busy boulevard will still carry a different energy than one overlooking a private garden.
Understand the Walking Distances: While everything looks close on a map, the Champs-Élysées is nearly two kilometers long. If your itinerary focuses on high-end shopping at Avenue Montaigne, choose a hotel on the south side of the avenue. If you plan to visit the Arc de Triomphe frequently or need easy access to the metro line 1, a hotel near the Charles de Gaulle–Étoile station will save your feet considerable strain.
Check for Air Conditioning: This is a crucial detail that travelers often overlook. Many historic Parisian buildings, even luxury ones, have been retrofitted with air conditioning, but some smaller boutique hotels may lack it or have less powerful systems. If you are traveling during the summer months, confirm that the hotel offers modern, individually controlled climate control to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep during Parisian heatwaves.
Evaluate the Dining Options: While the area is packed with cafes and brasseries, dining directly on the avenue can be touristy and overpriced. Look for hotels that offer a strong in-house dining program, whether it is a Michelin-starred restaurant or a beautiful breakfast terrace. Having a reliable, high-quality option within your hotel is a major convenience, especially for breakfast before a day of sightseeing or a nightcap after a long evening.
Leverage the Concierge: The value of a top-tier concierge cannot be overstated in this neighborhood. A well-connected concierge can secure hard-to-get reservations, arrange private transfers, or advise on the best time to visit the Louvre. When reading reviews, pay attention to mentions of the concierge team. A great hotel staff is your greatest asset in a city where insider knowledge reigns supreme.
Choosing to stay near the Champs-Élysées places you at the crossroads of Parisian grandeur. It is an investment in convenience, allowing you to experience the city’s most iconic sights with ease and return to a haven of comfort at the end of the day.
Whether you choose a palatial hotel with a storied history or a sleek, modern retreat, the magic of Paris is right at your doorstep. We hope this guide helps you find the perfect base for creating memories that will last a lifetime in the City of Light.
