Finding a great meal in Paris is rarely difficult, but finding one that respects Islamic dietary guidelines while standing just steps away from the world’s most famous museum can be a challenge. The area surrounding the Louvre is a bustling hub of tourist traps and generic brasseries, making it hard to distinguish between a memorable dining experience and a mediocre one. For Muslim travelers and locals alike, the need for authentic, high-quality Halal food near this iconic landmark is a practical necessity.
Navigating the 1st arrondissement and its neighboring districts requires a bit of local insight to avoid the overpriced cafes that line the Rue de Rivoli. While the immediate perimeter of the museum is dominated by high-end French cuisine, a short walk toward Les Halles, the Marais, or the Seine reveals a vibrant and diverse food scene. This guide cuts through the noise to bring you the most reliable and satisfying options within a reasonable walking distance.
The definition of "Halal" can vary, with some establishments serving fully Halal menus while others offer a selection of Halal-certified meats alongside non-Halal items. We have focused on venues that are either fully Halal or clearly state their sourcing, ensuring you can dine with peace of mind. From quick street food fixes to sit-down meals where you can rest your feet after a long gallery tour, there is something here for every budget and craving.
When visiting a museum as vast as the Louvre, you can easily spend four to six hours on your feet. That kind of endurance requires proper sustenance, not just a sugar rush from a pastry cart. Whether you are looking for a hearty kebab before entering the pyramid or a refined dinner after viewing the Mona Lisa, planning your meal stops is just as important as planning your art itinerary.
The neighborhoods surrounding the Louvre are incredibly walkable, meaning most of these recommendations are within a 10 to 20-minute stroll from the museum’s main entrance. This allows you to escape the immediate congestion of the tourist zone and dine where the locals actually eat. By venturing slightly off the beaten path, you will find better value, larger portions, and more authentic flavors.
This list prioritizes quality, consistency, and proximity. We have included a mix of cuisines, from Lebanese and North African to Indian and modern fast-casual concepts, reflecting the diversity of Paris itself. Each entry has been selected based on its reputation for food safety, flavor, and adherence to Halal standards.
Whether you are a tourist trying to maximize your time or a local looking for a new spot near your office, these restaurants offer the perfect refueling stations. Here is our curated selection of the best Halal dining options near the Louvre Museum.

A fantastic spot with amazing flavor—loved the lamb and the unique Middle Eastern twist on the Caesar salad! (4.5 Stars)
We stopped by Los Brothers and had an absolute treat of a meal! The grilled meats and fresh salads here really stand out from your typical fast-casual spot.
The Lamb Skewers: Cooked to perfection—tender, full of rich flavor, and beautifully seasoned. If you enjoy authentic, well-spiced grilled lamb, this is a must-order.
The Caesar Salad (Priya’s absolute favorite!): Usually, we find standard European or original Caesar salads a bit plain or overly heavy, but Los Brothers does an incredible Middle Eastern/spiced take on it. Packed with flavorful chicken and fresh toppings, it completely elevated the dish. It was easily the star of the table!
The Bulgur Wheat: A brilliant side option instead of heavy starches—warm, comforting, and wonderfully seasoned.
Minor feedback: The only real downside was the french fries, which turned out a bit too oily and soggy for our taste, so we ended up leaving most of them behind.
That small point aside, everything else was a solid 4.5/5 stars. Great food, generous portions, and wonderful flavors. We will definitely be back when we want a high-protein, flavorful bite in Paris!

Avoid this place at all cost the food was absolutely appalling disgusting chips tasted like a strange flavour from the oil that I couldn't even understand. The onions tasted foul and off. The staff were so so so so rude including the guy almost sweating directly on to the food. the food speaks for itself truly truly disgusting. Avoid this at all costs go across the road. This place needs learn how to speak to customers and deliver decent food. clean your oil fry the chips smile and take the money.

We went to Los Brothers for our last dinner in Paris, and wow — what a way to end the trip.
The place was absolutely buzzing. People were constantly coming and going, and it was clear this spot is popular for a reason. Even with how busy they were, the service was top notch. The staff stayed on top of everything, made sure we had what we needed, and kept things moving without ever making us feel rushed.
We ordered the platter to share, and it was so good. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. It’s one of those meals where you keep saying, “You have to try this,” back and forth across the table. Every bite delivered.
One of the best parts? Everything is halal, which made it an easy and comfortable choice for us.
Huge thank you to the team at Los Brothers for such a great experience. Keep killing it — we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Paris!

Loved the chicken here, it was so juicy and tender. We ordered a curry Poulet which came with two sides and the salad. It was a very generous portion and the restaurant was air conditioned (we dined during the heatwave so really helped). The menu was halal and the server was very courteous and entertained us in English.

I love this place. Their food is very delicious and every time I come to France, I drive straight out to this place to eat there. Mix plates are so full and you can even share as the portions are very big. It’s almost like a mom and Pop store so the service is very good. The place is clean and comfortable seating.

Turkish kebab spot that gives generous portions. Came here for dinner after a long day of sightseeing and we wanted to grab something to eat back in our hotel. They do have seating available. Credit cards and cash accepted. The kebabs come with fries on the side and a tasty sauce. They do have vegetarian options (falafel).

This was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in Paris. The fact that it’s halal makes it even better. I had the steak and the duck and both were amazing. I’m from Texas and I’ll say it straight up this steak tasted better than anything I’ve had back home.
The owner Beja was super genuine and really took care of me. It was my first time ever trying duck and he was very patient and made sure I liked it which I definitely did lol. You can tell he actually cares about the food and the people he serves.
Great food great vibes and great service. I would 100 percent come back and recommend this place to anyone visiting Paris.

It is a must to try this restaurant especially for Muslim travellers. Amazing service, love the menu and the food! There is definitely something for everybody. Pls support this halal establishment if you are in Paris. On our recent visit there are no long lines for sure. The staff are humble and always helpful. Easy to get to on foot or by uber.

This is a short walk from Roosevelt Station, or about 15 mins walk from L’arc de Triomphe. We had dinner here, the service was decent as was the decor. The kids menus are superb, with very generous portions and will fill any child 7 or below easily. Drinks were super with great options.
Lamb shank was delicious.
However, the fried chicken steak and the house steak were quite dry and chewy, they were not great. That said, sides were all perfect. Gratin dauphinois was superb. The steak could have been an off-night (unlikely as we ordered two and they were the same!). Not amazing but still worth a visit as it’s not easy to get halal steak in Paris.
All in all a great place to come and try.

The ambience is great..very cozy, chique vibes. Food comes out fast..ate mostly chicken. It's very rich and scrumptious. I couldn't finish all of it..but highly recommend. It's in a very trendy part of Paris. As a tourist I enjoyed it.

I discovered this halal restaurant online while visiting Paris, and it turned out to be quite easy to locate. I would definitely recommend booking in advance, as it can get fairly busy.
The food itself was enjoyable. I had the hamburger, which was decent, while my partner ordered the chicken and rice dish, which was particularly well-prepared and full of flavour. Overall, the quality of the food and the convenient location made for a good dining experience.
Unfortunately, the service did not match the standard of the food. The staff’s facial expressions and body language felt unwelcoming, which made us somewhat uncomfortable during our visit. To add to this, we were surprised when a tip was requested at the end, despite the lacklustre service.
In summary, while the food and location are definite positives, the service leaves room for improvement.

From the moment we arrived at Amazonia, we knew we were in for something special. The entire experience was simply mind-blowing. Every dish that arrived at our table was a masterpiece, beautifully presented, bursting with flavour, and cooked to perfection. The attention to detail was exceptional. Hats off to the talented chef and the owner for creating such an unforgettable dining experience.
As a halal restaurant, Amazonia exceeded every expectation. The menu is outstanding, and their non-alcoholic cocktails are some of the best we’ve ever tasted, creative, refreshing, and the perfect complement to the food.
What truly set this restaurant apart was the impeccable service. Duniya looked after us throughout the evening with genuine warmth, professionalism, and care. After every course, fresh napkins and new cutlery were provided before the next dish was served, a level of attention to detail that you rarely experience, even in many fine dining establishments. It made us feel incredibly well looked after.
The atmosphere is elegant, vibrant, and luxurious, making it the perfect place for a special occasion or simply to enjoy an extraordinary meal. I am still mesmerised by the entire experience and can’t stop thinking about the incredible food, outstanding hospitality, and beautiful ambience.
Without a doubt, this is one of the finest halal dining experiences we’ve ever had in Paris. We will definitely be returning and recommending Amazonia to everyone we know. A well-deserved 5 stars!

The food in the place is amazing, very tasty and delicious. It is very much on the level of a high end place.
Service was equally great and food came out to us quickly. We barely waited 5-10 mins.
On the other hand The atmosphere, although good overall, is not on the fancy, 60€ per plate level. There were no printed menus and tables were a bit small. It is more suitable for a 20-30€ restaurant rather than a "fancy" place.

A great place to eat if you're in the 8th. Fresh products, excellent service. Just a stone's throw from the Champs Elysées. Don’t hesitate.

I had an exceptional experience at the restaurant, mainly due to Pierre's outstanding customer service. The ambience was inviting, creating the perfect setting for a romantic dinner. The cocktails were fantastic; I requested a very sour cocktail, and the bartender expertly crafted a drink bursting with flavour.
The food was nothing short of phenomenal. The filet mignon was tender and perfectly cooked, while the octopus salad offered a delightful medley of textures and flavours that made each bite memorable. The ceviche was refreshingly zesty, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients.
Overall, the serene and intimate atmosphere made it an ideal spot for a special evening. It truly was a lovely experience that I forget.

UNKIND TO TOURISTS! HORRIBLE SERVICE. I had this place saved for months, I was so excited to go. I drove across town yesterday to eat here and when we arrived we waited over 20 mins to even be greeted. We tried being patient because we could see they were understaff (only 2 workers in the whole place: waitress and chef). My phone wasn’t working so we asked for a paper menu, the waitress was so rude and said if you can’t get the online menu to work then you can’t eat here. We eventually got the menu working, and were ready to order now 40+ minutes in and we haven’t even had our drink orders taken. A table of 6 come in way after us and she went to take their order before ours. So we waited almost an hour to not even get severed… we asked people who were leaving how long it took to get their food and they said over 75 mins… so if you have 3 hours to waste then I guess this place is for you.

September nights in Paris can sometimes in the comfortable 60sF or colder 50s F. Come here after midnight, where most of the chairs are available without too many tourists. Food can be ordered in many popular languages, since the staffs are from Tunisia, they're friendly and will have no trouble to help you select and cook to your liking. Make sure you get the couscous that comes with vegetable stew in a bowl. Calm and quiet after a busy day in Paris. Sooth your soul.

What a shambles! Went here last night. We were still eating when the staff ordered us to leave before we finished our meal as they had started to clear up to prepare to close. Honestly one of the best places I’ve been to. Their food is authentically French and halal too. Honestly, one of the best places in Paris. The service is impeccable. Our server Anees was excellent - he was extremely attentive, made excellent suggestions, and was constantly checking in. It’s also quite busy well into the night. The French onion soup is particularly amazing, but everything on the menu deserves a try. Would definitely come back here.

A very authentic and comforting French dinner tonight in Paris. The fish soup had a rich fish flavour and felt very traditional. The Escalope Normande was tender, with a creamy mushroom Normandy sauce that had a slightly sour tang, making it feel genuinely French and rustic. They also served a complimentary tuna toast, which was a lovely surprise. The portions were very generous and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I wanted to order dessert too, but I was simply too full by the end!

The duck tasted better than any duck I’ve ever had. The French onion soup, duck, potatoes, and crème brûlée rounded out our meal and all were delicious. The chicken Normandy portion looked small but was more than enough.

Great staffs and restaurant atmosphere. Ordered the duck confit, onion soup and creme brulee, everything was delicious. The serving could take some time to get to your table, but definitely worth it. The duck are so soft, the meat falling off the bones, french onion soup also very tasty that we keep munching it with the bread served.
Located near to Gallerie Lafayette Haussman which you can enjoy Paris Eiffel Tower, very well located. I recommend for those who wish to enjoy Halal French cuisines.

Kehribar quickly became one of those rare places you can’t stop thinking about after you leave. I went for lunch yesterday with my wife, and the food was so outstanding that we found ourselves coming back again tonight for dinner with another couple. That alone says everything.
From the moment you step inside, you’re wrapped in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The aromas of the food immediately pull you in, and the friendliness of the staff makes you feel at home right away. The vibes flow seamlessly from outside to inside—warm, inviting, and full of character at every turn.
The food is truly exceptional. The Istanbul grill for two is absolutely perfect—generous, beautifully cooked, and packed with deep, rich flavors. Every bite was memorable. The 7-variant appetizer plate is a fantastic way to explore a variety of cold mezes, each one fresh, vibrant, and full of authentic taste.
The service was excellent throughout our visit, attentive without ever being intrusive. What really stood out was the chef’s genuine desire to make guests feel like family—you can feel the care and pride in every dish that comes out of the kitchen.
Kehribar is more than just a meal; it’s an experience. Warm hospitality, incredible food, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer and come back again. Highly, highly recommended. Best part - it’s a full halal menu!

What a great find!
Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when it came to translating the menu and assisting us whenever needed.
We sat at the tables in front of the main preparation area, which gave the place a lively atmosphere, but there’s also another room next door with a few additional tables if you prefer a quieter spot.
We ordered the Mediterranean dish and the döner plate, and the portions were amazing. The döner dish came with a small salad, fries, and a side of rice, making it incredibly filling. The Mediterranean platter also included tzatziki, flatbread, and hummus — and every single component was exceptional.
Everything was fresh, flavourful, and generously served. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough!!!

Tips for Finding Halal Food Near the Louvre
While the list above provides specific destinations, knowing how to navigate the area yourself can unlock even more options and ensure a smooth dining experience during your visit. The tourist-heavy nature of the 1st arrondissement means that signage and menus can sometimes be misleading, so a little preparation goes a long way. Here are essential strategies to ensure you find food that meets your standards without wasting precious sightseeing time.
1. Check the Certificates and Signage
Look for a physical certificate displayed in the window or behind the counter, usually issued by the Grand Mosque of Paris (Mosquée de Paris), AVS, or ARGML. If you are unsure, do not hesitate to ask "Est-ce que la viande est halal ?" (Is the meat halal?). A verbal confirmation from staff is often reliable, but a visible certificate provides the highest level of trust.
2. Look Beyond the Main Boulevard
Rue de Rivoli, which runs directly in front of the Louvre, is notoriously expensive and often lacks authentic Halal options. Instead, walk north toward Rue Montorgueil or east into the 3rd arrondissement. The further you get from the museum’s main entrance, the more likely you are to find neighborhood restaurants that cater to locals rather than tourists.
3. Use the "Fully Halal" Filter
Many French restaurants serve Halal meat but also serve alcohol or pork products. If cross-contamination or the presence of alcohol is a concern for you, look specifically for "Restaurant 100% Halal" or "Sans Alcool" (Alcohol-free). These establishments guarantee that the entire kitchen environment adheres to stricter guidelines.
4. Time Your Meal to Avoid the Rush
French dining hours are strict. Lunch is typically served from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM, and dinner often doesn’t start until 7:30 PM. If you get hungry at 4:00 PM after leaving the museum, many sit-down restaurants will be closed. Plan for a late lunch or rely on the fast-casual options on the list, which often offer continuous service throughout the afternoon.
5. Verify Operating Hours on Prayer Days
If you are visiting on a Friday, be aware that some smaller, family-run Halal establishments may close for a period around the Jumu’ah prayer (usually between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM) and reopen afterward. This can actually work in your favor, as the post-prayer rush often brings out the freshest food of the week, but it is best to call ahead to confirm they are open.
Exploring the Louvre is a journey through history, but your culinary journey in Paris should be just as memorable. By choosing one of the restaurants above, you ensure that your dietary needs are met without sacrificing the quality and atmosphere that make Parisian dining world-famous. The area’s diversity means you can eat a different cuisine every day of the week without ever leaving the shadow of the museum.
Ultimately, the best travel experiences combine cultural enrichment with physical comfort. A satisfying, Halal meal allows you to recharge fully, giving you the energy to wander the endless halls of the Louvre or stroll along the Seine afterward. Enjoy the art, enjoy the city, and bon appétit.
