Reims is a city that engages all the senses. While most travelers arrive with a laser focus on the region’s legendary Champagne houses and Gothic cathedral, the true connoisseur knows that a great trip requires balance. After spending hours walking the cobblestone streets of the historic center or touring the labyrinthine crayères (chalk cellars), your body inevitably begins to ask for a different kind of attention.
The local wellness scene has evolved significantly over the last decade. No longer just an afterthought for tourists, the spa culture here now rivals the city’s gastronomic offerings. From hidden thermal experiences to luxurious hotel sanctuaries, the city provides a sophisticated array of options designed to soothe tired muscles and calm the mind.
Because Reims is a compact city, accessibility is a major advantage. You don’t have to drive far into the countryside to find a world-class treatment; many of the best facilities are located right in the heart of the city center. This allows you to seamlessly blend a morning of cultural exploration with an afternoon of deep relaxation.
The following guide is curated with a focus on variety, quality, and authenticity. Whether you are looking for a quick express facial between business meetings or a full-day ritual involving saunas, hammams, and pools, Reims has a venue tailored to your specific needs.
We have evaluated these establishments based on the quality of their facilities, the expertise of their therapists, the uniqueness of their treatment menus, and their overall atmosphere. This ensures that every recommendation below offers a genuine escape from the urban hustle, even if you are just steps away from the bustling Place Drouet d’Erlon.
Here are the best spas in Reims to help you unwind, rejuvenate, and complete your Champagne region experience.

Fantastic visit to a well considered venue. I don't speak Francaise, but the staff were so amazing trying to accommodate me without a shared language. It was peaceful and quiet, with several different spaces it was easy to find privacy even though there were other guests. Thank you to all the staff for making this exactly what I was hoping for.

My husband and I scheduled a massage and it was a wonderful experience. The hydro therapy area was included so bring a swimsuit. Staff was friendly and very skilled at massage. Highly recommend for a relaxing experience alone or with a friend or spouse.

Excellent hotel spoiled by the time it takes them to bring your car from the parking area which is away from the hotel.

We made a reservation for one hour, our at least we thought so. At first everything looked fine and we were satisfied. But after 15 minutes there were two other people that joined the spa, hotel guests. They were making a lot of noise and were even rude! No time to relax for us at al. We are still very frustrated.. a spa must be quiet. In the locker room is a sign that indicates that you must respect others and be quiet. They didn't have to pay for it but we did! So.. we couldn't really relax. Anyways.. after this, my husband's locker didn't work and there was no staff to help us! I went to the reception of the hotel to see if they could help us. My husband had been waiting for half an our in his swimming clothes. After all.. staff of the reception walked with me. My husband could open his locker but.. we also needed to pay. We got a glass of champagne in the hotel to waif for the staff.. imagine, we were there at 10 o clock. Around 12:15 there was finally some staff.. another girl then this morning. She wasn't polite at all!!! She told us that we had to pay for two hours because "it is not possible to book for one hour!!!" WELL.... We did book for one hour and her colleague didn't mention anything about it! In the end they let us pay for one hour. One hour of stress instead of one hour relaxing... luckily the hotel staff was friendly. But we came here to relax and unwind. Didn't work out at all. We're not coming back here.

Rude staff, shut down spa jets 15 min prior to closing, didn’t advise that spa facilities would be closed when I made appointment for massage. Disappointed.

I can only commend Adam's exemplary service... from the initial phone call for information to the booking itself. He welcomed us with true professionalism, was quick, clear, kind, and above all, always with a smile and attentive to every need. A five-star experience is the bare minimum.
We loved it and will definitely repeat the experience.

We came for Valentine's Day for a relaxing hour in the relaxation area with jacuzzi, hammam, and sauna. This was followed by a Pacific massage.
The staff was very friendly and smiling.
The place was very clean and cozy; we loved it.
The hour-long massage is never long enough. We were a couple, and the two masseuses were very attentive and caring.
We'll be back to try other massages.

I was given a prenatal massage as a gift, and what a treat!! Marie-Charlotte made me feel completely at ease during this incredibly relaxing experience, and the massage was truly delicate and the intensity was perfectly tailored to my needs. I highly recommend this service to expectant mothers. (36 weeks pregnant) Thank you, Marie-Charlotte! 🌻

We opted for the 1-hour spa treatment for two, plus a 1-hour couples massage. It was a very pleasant experience; the masseuses, Maia and Mélanie, were very professional and gentle. They adapted to each person's preferences (areas to avoid, etc.). They were very respectful of privacy and modesty. The place was very cozy and spotlessly clean.
We highly recommend the spa and its services. We will gladly return.

I never leave a poor review… until today. This place only listened to what I needed well enough to make me to pay before the massage appointment started. They did not listen at all after being paid. I received an oil bath basically. I asked for deep tissue body work and got a nice person who rubbed my skin. I did not come for skin rub. I came for muscle work. I stopped the message and asked to have greater care. It continued the same.
Additionally, for ⅓ of the 90 minutes massage they drained a pool right outside my door which sounded far to close to a sinking ship than a relaxing spa appointment. I am thoroughly unhappy with the service and would not recommend… unless you want an oil skin rub.
No, it is not c’est la vie. It was a waste of time and resource. I was more relaxed before I arrived as compared to when I left.

Loved our experience at Spa Reims! The spa room was big, modern and very clean. Ordering food and drinks through a large tablet in the room made it super easy (especially as I don't speak a word of French). Separate bathroom with great amenities. Staff was super friendly and went above and beyond for us. Recommend it to anyone wanting to end their Champagne filled weekend relaxed and in style.

We had a wonderful time during our couples massage. The massage therapists were incredibly professional and attentive throughout the entire session.
A special mention goes to the blonde therapist, whose name I unfortunately didn't catch: thank you for this exceptional experience. It was, without a doubt, one of the best massage sessions I've ever had in a spa.
We left feeling deeply relaxed and completely refreshed. An experience we will gladly repeat!

Absolutely stunning place with friendly host who can't do enough for you , and the champagne is excellent, thank you.
Felizitas Oppel★★★★★
We stayed at Le Clos des Huy Prés with our two young children and had a wonderful time. The hotel is beautiful and the manager and his wife the kindest people. We had a wonderful time!
The rooms are all very modern with all the amenities you need, and super clean. 👌 Breakfast was delicious with lots of local delicacies; the goat cheese with dried flower petals and fresh orange juice were a favourite.
Unfortunately we did not have time to use the spa but we will make sure to do so next time, as it looked wonderful too.
Again, the owner Olivier was so kind to us and our two young daughters, we would always love to stay here again. 🙏

Nice place, peaceful and relax. No notation concerning rooms because i did not see.

We spent a night here with our two children and it was simply outstanding. The comfort was excellent and we slept wonderfully. What made the stay truly special was the hospitality: the hosts were incredibly kind and caring, and the service was top-notch in every respect.
The spa was a highlight for the whole family, and we enjoyed a bottle of champagne during our stay. Olivier was kind enough to give us a lift to a nearby village, where we had a delicious meal. That kind of personal attention really makes all the difference.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm, comfortable, and welcoming stay in the Huy area. We will definitely be back!

We spent a great 5 days at the loft. It’s the perfect location, close to supermarkets and a short walk into town. The loft itself is so fun, very clean and has everything you need and more. The indoor pool and outdoor jacuzzi just perfect. Sébastien was a great host and very helpful. We’re looking forward to returning!
Daniel Henderson★★★★★
Best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. Sébastien was the perfect host. Property was immaculate. The pictures don’t do it justice - the space was even better in real life. We definitely plan to stay again next time we’re in Reims.
Heidi Dixon★★★★★
Sebastien's loft worked perfectly for us. We had 4 adults and 2 children and we had plenty of space across the three bedrooms. The pool and the hot tub were fantastic and we had lots of fun playing the pinball machine and the juke box. We used the BBQ on the deck multiple times and also cooked in the kitchen. We thought it was an excellent choice for exploring Reims and the area. Whilst it is very near the train station, the area does lend itself to exploring by car and the off street parking at the loft made that easy. If you have kids that are 10 or under it's worth the 10 minute drive to Parc de Champagne for the playground and park there as the playgrounds there are very good and it's in a beautiful park. Happy to recommend this AirBnB.
Marnix Gielen★★★★★
One of the best stays I have ever had. A wonderful loft with great amenities. The loft is a vintage art exhibition in itself. Especially enjoyed the pinball machine, the jacuzzi and the outside gas grill.
Thanks Seba!

We had an absolutely perfect stay at Loft and Spa Reims.
Everything was perfect for a relaxing and comfortable experience: the loft is magnificent, tastefully decorated, very clean, and perfectly equipped.
The heated indoor pool is a real bonus, ideal for relaxing and enjoying at any time.
Our two-year-old son was thrilled, and it was a real joy to see him having so much fun. The atmosphere is calm and intimate; you feel truly at ease from the moment you arrive. Communication with the host was smooth and pleasant.
A flawless experience that we wholeheartedly recommend. We will definitely be back!
Tips for Choosing the Right Spa Experience in Reims
Selecting the right spa can make the difference between a generic treatment and a transformative wellness journey. Because the spa culture in France differs slightly from other parts of the world—often placing a higher emphasis on privacy, silence, and thermal hydrotherapy—it helps to know what to look for before you book. Consider your personal comfort levels, the type of equipment you desire, and the time you have available. The following tips will ensure your reservation aligns perfectly with your expectations, allowing you to relax from the moment you walk through the door.
Book in advance, especially on weekends. Reims is a popular getaway destination, and the best time slots at top hotel spas fill up quickly. If you are visiting during the harvest season (August to September) or the winter holiday markets, you should reserve your treatment at least two to three weeks ahead of time to avoid disappointment.
Check the access rules for wet areas. Many French spas include access to the pool, sauna, and hammam with a treatment, but some require a separate "day pass." Always clarify what is included in your treatment price. If you want to spend a few hours relaxing by the pool, ensure the facility allows this rather than only granting access 30 minutes before your massage.
Understand the French spa etiquette. In many high-end establishments, swimwear is optional in the hydrotherapy areas, while in others it is strictly required. Additionally, silence is often strictly enforced in relaxation zones. If you are new to French spa culture, don’t hesitate to call ahead and ask about the "règlement" (rules) to ensure you feel comfortable.
Pair your visit with a specific need. Are you looking for post-flight recovery, relief from walking fatigue, or a glow-boosting facial before a dinner out? Different spas specialize in different things. Some focus heavily on thermal water circuits, while others excel in aesthetic skin treatments. Look at the treatment menu before booking to ensure they have the expertise you require.
Consider a weekday visit for better value. If your schedule allows, booking a spa session from Tuesday to Thursday often provides a quieter, more private atmosphere. You are more likely to get personalized attention from the staff and may find special "off-peak" pricing or packages that include lunch or a glass of Champagne.
Look for local ingredients. To make your experience uniquely "Rémoise," seek out treatments that utilize local products. Many of the best spas here incorporate grape seed oil, champagne marc, or vine extracts into their scrubs and massages. This offers a beautiful connection to the terroir and makes for a memorable souvenir of the region.
Ultimately, the perfect spa day in Reims is about harmony. It is the yin to the yang of Champagne tasting. While the bubbles excite the palate and the history stimulates the mind, a deep tissue massage or a quiet moment in a eucalyptus steam room brings the body back to equilibrium. By taking the time to invest in your well-being during your stay, you will leave the city feeling not just indulged, but genuinely restored and ready to return.
