17 Best Bars in Paris

The Parisian bar scene has evolved far beyond the smoky cafés of old Hollywood films. Today, the French capital is a playground for cocktail purists, natural wine evangelists, and creative mixologists who treat a drink menu like a piece of art. Whether you are looking for a candlelit hideaway in Le Marais or a high-energy rooftop overlooking the Eiffel Tower, the city offers an intoxicating mix of history and innovation.

Navigating the sheer volume of options can be overwhelming, especially when every narrow street seems to hide a promising doorway. The best bars in Paris are not always the loudest or the most obvious; often, they are the ones tucked behind unmarked doors or nestled on the top floors of discreet hotels. Understanding the local drinking culture—where the aperitif is sacred and the cocktail is savored—will help you blend in seamlessly with the locals.

Quality in Paris is defined by more than just the liquid in the glass. The atmosphere, the design, and the hospitality play an equally vital role in the experience. From plush velvet interiors that whisper old-world glamour to minimalist spaces that feel like modern art galleries, the ambiance is carefully curated to enhance every sip.

This guide focuses on diversity, ensuring that whether you are a fan of classic French wines, experimental mezcal infusions, or perfectly balanced gin fizzes, there is a spot for you. We have prioritized venues that offer not only exceptional drinks but also a genuine sense of place. These are the spots where Parisians actually go to celebrate, to unwind, and to fall in love with the night.

To help you skip the tourist traps and drink like a true local, we have curated a list of the definitive drinking destinations in the City of Light. Each selection offers a unique reason to visit, whether it is the pedigree of the head bartender, the rarity of the spirits on the back bar, or the unforgettable view from the terrace.

Explore the list below to find your perfect match for a memorable night out in Paris.

I went in Saturday night at 2am and needed to come back Sunday to try some more drinks - and am I glad I did! I had the pleasure of being served and conversing with the bartender Leo who was an absolute delight and the highlight of my night. He takes pride in his work and has a great ethos for his work - any bar is priveliged to have him in their team. Strong reccomended

Little Red Door is one of those places that comes with a lot of online hype, and while the vibe absolutely delivers, the drinks themselves didn’t quite live up to expectations. The concept is interesting—especially the use of umami, herbs, and French spirits like armagnac and calvados in creative cocktail builds—and the menu looks incredibly tempting. However, in execution, while the idea of layering savory umami notes with herbs and French spirits is clever, the drinks didn’t quite come together in a way that felt balanced or as refined as expected from a bar of this reputation. That said, the bartender was excellent and very accommodating. When we weren’t fully happy with a drink, they proactively offered to change it, which was a really nice touch and showed great hospitality. The overall atmosphere is fantastic—intimate, stylish, and lively in a way that makes it a great place to spend an evening even if the drinks fall short. Overall, it feels a bit overhyped. There are definitely better cocktail bars in Paris in terms of drink quality, even if this one wins on concept, creativity, and ambience.

On a recent trip to Paris me and a couple friends reserved Little Red Door’s tasting menu. We arrived on time and were warmly welcomed and shown our seats at the bar. What happened from there was a wonderful 2+ hour experience. All of the bartenders were incredible; our main bartender was from Sweden, another was from Berlin and the third was from Paris. All three have been in the industry for years and were personally selected to join LRD. They also spoke about the Lab and how the bar develops their drinks. It takes months of trials and tests and shows in the drinks they bring to the bar. The tasting menu was extensive and thoughtfully presented (see pictures). By the end of the menu we felt like we had been welcomed as family. I would absolutely go back and more, if I lived in Paris, it would be my home bar. Everyone should try the tasting menu or if that isn’t your style, just go in for a drink.
Stephen Anderson★★★★★
If you’re into cocktails, you have to visit LRD when you’re in Paris. Cocktails are original and fascinating, and the staff are really into their craft. They’re also quite reasonably priced. Between the two of us, we had 5 cocktails and because they had a guest bartender and some of the drinks were on special, we ended up spending only 80 Euros.
Maria★★★★★
The Little Red Door is one of those rare cocktail bars where the experience feels magical from the moment you walk in. The staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They take the time to guide you, chat with you, and make you feel completely at home. The cocktails themselves are on another level, super creative, well presented, and thoughtfully crafted. Every drink has a unique flavor combination you won’t find anywhere else. It’s clear the team puts a lot of imagination and care into each creation. If you’re looking for a spot in Paris that blends creativity, hospitality, and a cozy atmosphere, The Little Red Door is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended.

A cute cocktail bar in Le Marais district. The ambience was warm and welcoming, the crowd were young and trendy and the staff were helpful and pleasant. One girl even charged my phone for me which was a nice touch.

Really good and really big cocktail for decent price 🤩

This place may look like a hole in the wall but it's a great bar to go if you're thirsty! Happy hour is from 18h-22h but instead of reducing price, they double the size of the drinks, wether beer or cocktail! The staff is also great! I felt very welcome and they offered my table great service! I strongly recommend this bar, I just wish one could be where I live!

After experiencing Le Speakeasy in Cannes, we wanted to try Le Speakeasy in Paris and the experience was equally fabulous. The female singer was giving the late Amy Winehouse some competition and the other performers were great too. Excellent food. All in all a wonderful and fun experience!
Laura Jones★★★★★
First time visiting Paris and we stumbled upon this gem only a stones throw from where we were staying. Food was superb, service was warm and attentive (thank you Frank). The music (we went on a monday) was incredible and creates such a wonderful atmosphere. We also enjoyed the added extra of the smoking lounge downstairs so no going out into the cold. It was a bit on the pricey side but worth every penny (cent). Cannot recommend this enough!

Speakeasy in Paris has a stylish, exclusive vibe with great music and a classy crowd. The cocktails are high quality and the atmosphere feels unique and intimate. It’s a bit upscale, but perfect for a special night out. I’d definitely come back.

Beautiful Parisian experience with live music turning into the best party on a random Tuesday! Favorite place of my Parisian friends but also highly recommend for anyone visiting! The food was amazing, especially the meat, as well as the service - Ludo served us quickly and friendly. If you are looking to meet amazing people - this is the place for you too! Definitely coming back

The staff, the service, the food and drink, the music and the atmosphere was incredible. Our time spent eating, drinking, dancing and singing along was great fun. This is definitely a place I would visit every time while in Paris. It could not have been a better evening. A special shout out to Frank as he could not have been more welcoming and his service was superb. Finally, Linda Lee and her piano player and co- singer rocked the house with their lovely voices, amazing stage presence and inviting all present to join in, sing and dance to the songs. And the best part is Linda grew up in our home state of Delaware! A small world indeed. It made the evening so very special to share our hometowns together all the way from Paris! Love her!

Wonderfully over the top cocktails. Everything they served was extravagant and the quality was very good. You need to respect a cocktail experience that is designed to be extra at every step and delivers. Highly recommend if you have an hour to kill and want some good drinks with strong presentation.

Amazing, classy and chill. Clement makes really good drinks (which are all original and so imaginative) and Louise gave us such a warm welcome. Totally recomend this place to start the night of party, or come with a date or friends to have some nice quality time. Great experience!!
Alex★★★★★
Was here early (6:30) on a Friday so this will probably be a different experience from those who got here later. I’ve heard if you want to come in later a line does form. I was just trying to avoid noise and crowds. It was calm, quiet, with nice music and the presentation of their cocktails was amazing. Many of them fall on the sweet side but they do have a section to have a drink if your own choice if you wish. It just won’t have the amazing flair. The staff was friendly, the decor is cozy and it was just nice. I got told it gets louder and more crowded later on though. I reserved. But if you get there early as I did there’s no need to.
Veronika★★★★★
We visited Solera Bar as a party of two, and I can honestly say it was an unforgettable experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the evening. The cocktails were absolutely outstanding—delicious, creative, and perfectly balanced. But what really sets Solera apart is the presentation. Every drink is beautifully served in stunning glassware with an impressive level of creativity and flair. The attention to detail and overall staging make each cocktail feel like a special event. The atmosphere is elegant and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a memorable night out in Paris. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. For me, it’s a 12/10 for both the taste and the overall experience. Highly recommended and definitely a must-visit when in Paris!
Extra Jari★★★★★
The service was incredible, the vibe was on point, food was amazing and the drinks were even better! Overall a 10/10 experience we'll be back again!

Fun, moody tiki bar catering to a friendly, diverse crowd. The beachy decorations and drinks keep their public entertained and delighted by the dozens of fruity flavored cocktails unfolding over a multi page menu, made by friendly bartenders, and served in ceramic tiki mugs. They have many bar seats, booths, and a private room in back. We most enjoyed the drink with chacha in its name.
Martin Conroy-Edwards★★★★★
Super chilled vibe bar with very friendly and attentive staff serving the most amazing cocktails. Water is also provided with drinks and the glass wasn't left empty. The servers couldn't have been more friendly. Cocktails take a couple of minutes to make and when you get them they're like a work of art. It was a shame to drink them. We only stayed for one but wasn't pressured into having another and was left alone to chat and soak up the atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this bar to any LGBTQ visitornas it felt warm and welcoming and non judgemental.
Jonathan from Ramsgate★★★★★
Great place for cocktails, pretty close to the Moulin Rouge. Good, intimate atmosphere, friendly bar staff and good choice of cocktails. Food not served; just drinks. Don't be put off by the name by the way; despite being on the edge of Pigalle, it's not at all seedy.
Steven McCaw★★★★★
We went for a couple of drinks on a Thursday, staff were friendly and a great atmosphere for drinking unusual themed cocktails. We went back on Friday with some friends and spent the night here. Met some great people, got completely wasted and had a brilliant night. They controlled the numbers of customers to ensure everyone had a table to sit at and the place was busy but never crowded. 10/10
Ryan Beckwith★★★★★
A gay tiki bar in Paris!? Say less. This place is worth checking out. My partner and I stopped by for a drink after eating at Pink Mama (an amazing restaurant btw). We were immediately greeted by the friendly staff and given an explanation of the drink menu. There were so many good options it was hard to choose. In addition to the incredible drinks and ambiance, there was a DJ spinning some really great music. The entire bar was filled with good energy, laughter, and happiness. If you enjoy a tiki drink please give this place a try.

We visited during our recent Parisian adventure and were absolutely blown away by your bartender Rafa’s skills. We have had the pleasure of visiting many of the top bars in the world including Cannon & Law, Death & Co., Attaboy, Locale, and others and Rafa’s Old Fashioned and Espresso Martini could truly go toe-to-toe with any of them 🥃 He is not only incredibly talented, but also humble and genuinely passionate about his craft. What a wonderful ambassador for your establishment — we were so impressed!

Small, simple but very nice place to spend time with friends. Cocktails and beer are good 👍🏻

We had a really great experience the cocktails were amazing and honestly exceeded my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised! The barman was fantastic, not only making delicious cocktails but also being a genuinely lovely person. I’d definitely recommend this place.
Fokion Sotiropoulos★☆☆☆☆
One of the worst drinks ever had. The cocktail was ‘smoky’ cinnamon whisky, the smoky was basically cinnamon on fire and its ashes inside my cocktail…. I don’t recommend at all…
Ami Patel★★★★☆
We went on a Sunday evening during the happy hour and the atmosphere was alright. We had two cocktails- purple fizz and rose tonic. The purple fizz was very sour and I didn't taste or feel any gin. The rose tonic was a better cocktail as all the ingredients were well balanced.

Loved this spot. We went during the holidays, which made the atmosphere feel even more festive. Some of the best classic cocktails I’ve had, and the bartender was incredibly friendly and helpful. No pretentiousness at all, just great drinks and great service. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Paris.
Paul Crenson★★★★☆
I'm giving four stars as I feel like it's worth a visit if you love a good drink, the historic value and ambience is the main factor that drives this. On a rainy Wednesday afternoon there were just a few customers, so service was quick and friendly. The cocktails were great so was the hotdog mainly the mustard, however other than a one time visit the price which I'm sure is driven by the high cost of rent of the area wouldn't warrant a return visit but neither does Paris in general for me but that's just my view.
julia__shibaeva★★★★★
The best bar in Paris! I love the crowd there. Some of my best encounters happened right in this bar. The service is excellent. The cocktails are delicious, but the hot dogs are absolutely amazing!!! We’ll rush to this bar even after a Michelin-starred meal—these are the kind of hot dogs you’ll dream about at night 😉😂 We’ll be back in Paris soon, and I’ll happily visit this bar again 👌🌸🥂
Kim Stephens★★★☆☆
This is a bar, so I didn’t provide a rating for food, but it was fun to go to a location that was the original creator of the French 75 and the Bloody Mary. The drinks, however, haven’t evolved at all. I’ve had better Bloody Mary’s, but I would still say it’s worth the visit if you are in the area. It is conveniently located near the Opera House.

We stopped in for lunch while in the area. The restaurant is well-decorated and we were seated immediately. The menu is just the right size with some classic French dishes. I had a St. Germaine Crush cocktail. I liked the st Germaine. I ordered the beef tartare and it came with bread and fries. This is one of the best I have ever had. This place is definitely worth visiting in the area.
Yusuf Yassin★★★★★
We had a great meal here! We ordered the cheeseburger and the steak platter. Both were delicious, the steak was juicy, flavorful, and incredibly tasty, and the fries were honestly the highlight of the meal. They were absolutely incredible. I also loved that the Pepsi was served in a glass bottle, which was a nice touch. We sat outside, and the seating area was beautiful, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Our waiter, Bilal, took excellent care of us. He was attentive, genuinely friendly, and always one step ahead of anything we needed. Honestly, he was one of the best waiters we came across during our trip to France, so a big shout-out to him! Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I’d definitely recommend this place.
Joaquin Alvarado★★★★★
This restaurant / pub was amazing. We were greeted by three friendly guys. Offered us inside table since it was cold but we opted to sit outside. Our waiter, Nicolas, was just AWSOME. Gave us suggestions and was kind and patient with my wife. Being the we walked Paris streets all day, I was wearing shorts. Nicolas offered and brought us two small blankets to keep us warm. The food was AMAZING. I had the Ribeye that was cooked Medium temperature, perfectly. My wife had the Beef cooked in Guinness that was delicious 😋. I asked Nicolas if they prepared a Black Russian drink, since not too many places on Paris did, and he kindly check with he bar. They did and they prepared it sooooo good. Nicolas took the time to tell us about his story and about the neighborhood around the restaurant. We had an amazing experience and I highly recommend that anyone stop by.
Jonathan from Ramsgate★★★★★
Ate here in July 2026. Really enjoyed the food and the setting was really nice. Taxi driver dropped us off at the front of the building which appeared to be closed and it took us awhile to realise the entrance is round the back. Will definitely come back again if we are in the area
Sweetchilliramblers★★★★★
The kitchen is actually great! The chicken burger was delicious and crispy. The beef cheek tender well cooked. Fries crispy. I enjoyed the onion soup too! Great meal, prices make sense for the quality and the service! Got too full for desserts but wish I had room, the profiterole looked divine. The service was great too! Lovely and accommodating staff, I’d recommend.

We had a lot of fun there! It's a cool place with nice staff and easy to just hang out. It was during the England Argentina match so fairly quiet but they are obviously having fun and not taking themselves too seriously. Also in an area with a lot of other bars. Because of noise ordinance in Paris the bars are not street open and are often behind 2 sets of doors, so the area itself may seem dead but the bars are just "hidden" behind those double doors. Inside it can get quite lively. I would highly recommend a visit when your tired of having wine on a sidewalk cafe and want something fun! I will be back next time I'm in Paris for sure!
Nayo Miel★☆☆☆☆
If you think you’re gonna have a good time here, don’t even bother coming. After work, my colleagues and I came here for a couple of drinks. The bar looked closed, so I politely asked the security guard in French, “Bonsoir, est-ce que c’est ouvert ?” He said yes. As I went to open the door, he suddenly started yelling at us, saying we couldn’t just come in and had to speak to him first which is exactly what I had just done. We honestly thought he was joking because of how rude and random it was. Instead, he kept waving us away with his hand, refused to explain why we weren’t allowed in, and completely ignored us every time we tried to ask. He treated us like we weren’t even there. As we were leaving, another group was turned away too. They told us the same security guard had already screamed at one of the women in their group on a previous night and had been just as rude to her. We were well dressed after spending the evening at different events, not wearing casual clothes or streetwear. We were polite from the beginning, spoke to him in French, and if there had been a valid reason for refusing us, he could have simply explained it. Even my friend, who doesn’t speak French very well, tried talking to him respectfully. I’ve never been treated with such disrespect before. I was honestly close to crying. At that point, it wasn’t even about getting inside anymore we just wanted to understand why we were being treated that way, but he kept acting as if we didn’t exist. While we were outside, we saw French customers dressed much more casually, and he spoke to them completely normally. We don’t want to make accusations, but the difference in the way we were treated compared with everyone else left us wondering why. The security guard working on Thursday, July 23, between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m. was the rudest and most disrespectful person I’ve ever dealt with. If you’re working with customers, the bare minimum is treating people with basic respect, even when refusing them entry. He completely ruined what was supposed to be a nice night out.

Fun speakeasy hidden inside the pizzeria. Their menu is huge, but put together very thoughtfully. Currently, one half of the menu is classics with a twist with postcard motifs and the other half are "new" crafted unique drinks. The variety was a bit overwhelming, but left you wanting one of everything! I enjoyed a strawberry cosmo, a banana almond coffee cocktail, and a mint matcha "latte". We walked in for 2 on Tuesday around 7pm with no wait but it filled up by 8pm
Guy Duenias★★★★★
Behind the pizza place you enter into a cool speakeasy bar, with unique cocktails that don’t resemble anything we tasted before. The cocktails taste was unique and we needed the barman help to understand what is good for us, it’s an experience more than going for a drink.
Michael Uzmann★★★★☆
Hidden behind a walk-in fridge at the back of Pizza da Vito the team behind Dirty Dick presents Moonshiner, a Prohibition-era speakeasy with dim lighting and low-slung banquets perfect to settle in for some innovative or classic drinks. Minimalist but somewhat art deco, the bar a tiny thing loaded with top-shelf Spirits, staff is friendly but well-versed in multiple languages while drinks trend affordable by comparison to similar concepts in Europe and the United States. Whisky-centric with several interpretations of the Old Fashioned, though a simple Mezcal Margarita is also executed with skill, those seeking something truly unique should consider the “Caffe Salentino” which riffs on the Italian favorite with French nuances and lingering island notes.
Jeremy Knight★★★★★
Great experience with my first trip to a Paris Secret Bar. Figure out how to get in, and you can expect great and somewhat unique twists on drinks, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a low-key atmosphere to enjoy the good drinks. Would definitely visit anytime I end up in Paris.

I have 5 Starts for the Food, in place of the Beverage 😁 First Trip to Paris, First Speakeasy here as well, .... And it all started as I ended up the 'extra' when my daughter met with her friends.... We followed Jenna who led us down Rue Sedaine, found a pizzaria there tucked in the back where one would stash the cheese, behind double doors, was Moonshiners.... They, offered a cozy, vintage spot to enjoy company and drinks.... I sat at the bar and took in the room, asked for a Pino Noir, to where the first Bartender said, 'Madame, we do not have wine' in his cute french accent... I smiled and looked at their menu, which came in the form of a double sided book... I skimmed through quickly, and picked the Amaro Sour.... The creation of this drink was with great care and placed in front of me..... One sip, I was intrigued.... I decided to read the menu... OMG, what a beautiful read!!!! The postcards were sweet written with care, some were rather sexy..to which I thought, damn I should have had the Pornstar martini ONLY cause the postcard was everything that made the drink desired.... ... I sat and enjoyed 2 more of my Amaro sours, the music & shared small talk with the bartender & a few of the patrons. I waited till the young adults were ready to leave... I shared a smile and a warm handshake with my bartender and complimented their menu and aesthetics....and off we went back through the double doors to the pizzaria... Moonshiners was one of the best part of my visit. au revoir 👋🇫🇷🍸

If you’re looking for one of the best cocktail experiences in Paris, Cocktail Experiment is an absolute must. A huge thank you to Guillaume, whose hospitality was second to none. He welcomed us like old friends and patiently answered what must have been a million questions with genuine enthusiasm. His knowledge of spirits, cocktails, ingredients, flavour pairings and techniques is nothing short of outstanding. You can tell Guillaume is incredibly passionate about his craft, and that passion makes the entire experience so much more enjoyable. Every recommendation was spot on, and we walked away having learnt so much while enjoying some of the best cocktails we’ve ever had. Exceptional drinks, exceptional service, and an unforgettable experience. Guillaume is a true asset to Cocktail Experiment, and we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Paris. Highly recommended!

Tasty cocktails, great vibes, amazing team I came here on a recommendation from a bartender at the restaurant where I had dinner earlier and I'm so glad I did. They have a DJ on Saturdays, and the crowd was mostly French, which I took as a good sign. The drinks are outstanding. They make the best dirty vodka martini I've ever had, and their signature spicy margarita is a must. Prices are very reasonable considering the thought and effort that clearly goes into the menu. I appreciated feeling safe throughout the evening; they have a bouncer at the door, and he turned out to be incredibly kind once you start talking to him. Last but not least - I want to give a shoutout to Solenn. She made my evening ten times better. So polite, warm, and passionate about what she is doing. I actually saw her again a few days later when she wasn't working, and she greeted me like we'd known each other for years. That kind of genuine hospitality stays with you.

Hands down one of my favourite cocktail bars I’ve found to date — and my 4th visit in three years 🤭

Tried it first time in 2024 and liked it enough to come back in 2026, but that was a huge disappointment. Tried 4 different cocktails and all were not even mediocre, lots of ice and just very plain. Even the old fashioned was blah. Place still looks welcome but on that particular night the vibe just wasn’t there. Left after 30 minutes. With so many amazing places in Paris, I’d skip this one for sure.

Warm, friendly, patient & delicious cocktail creations. Marlene (I think was her name) was super pleasant & answered my many questions and was eager to help us find cocktails we would enjoy. Highly recommend the team here, they are fun and the vibe is energetic!

Great atmosphere, Super fun place. Good drinks with okay prices. We came at like 3AM and there was still energy. Would absolutely go back! Very queer friendly too

I ordered a burger combo with fries, but it took a long time to arrive. The bun was badly burnt — almost half of it — and the burger itself was pretty disappointing. It kept falling apart with every bite and really lacked flavor.

very nice pub in a nice and upbeat neighborhood l. Nice music but you can still talk normally.

Very disappointed for a 24th Dec. Even thought I reserved some tickets for tonight I arrived to the place and it was completely closed. Such a shame. Do not trust this place for Dec 24h, totally fake anyways
Saqal★☆☆☆☆
I went there to watch the Champions League final, and it was the worst experience I’ve had at a pub. They clearly sold tickets far beyond capacity—we couldn’t even stand comfortably, let alone sit. There was no air conditioning, and the beer was awful. Overall, a terrible experience.

Well… the atmosphere is you either love it or hate it. I find I really special and kind of disturbing but you get a very unique vibe out of it. The cocktails were good and the owner a very cool guy that explained to us that the bar didn’t change at all since 1979 where the decorations come from.

Staff and locals were amazing. The drinks were fantastic. What more do you want?

This place is one of a kind. Staff is very friendly and can advise you in what cocktail to choose, the atmosphere inside takes you to a different world. Drinks are really good

Le Parisien lives up to its name in every way. Built around pistachio and cucumber, it opens with this clean, sharp acidity that feels almost refreshing, before a gentle anise note slowly surfaces — that unmistakably French character that could only belong here. What makes it work is the restraint. Nothing overreaches, nothing overwhelms. It has this composed, precise structure that makes it the perfect palate reset between bigger, bolder drinks. Menu is interesting! At a bar sitting comfortably in the world’s top 30, you expect craft. This delivers.

An exceptional cocktail experience at Danico. The drinks were creative, perfectly balanced, and absolutely deserving of their place among the World’s 50 Best Bars. We tried the Tarte Tatin, Ratatouille, Le Cocktail du Moment, and a Basil Smash every cocktail was outstanding and memorable in its own way. The service inside the bar was also exceptional: attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Th only small downside was the communication with the staff at the door, which could have been a bit warmer and clearer. Aside from that, everything was fantastic. Definitely a place worth visiting if you appreciate high-level cocktails.

Tucked away in the back of the bustling Daraoco Bourse restaurant, the intimate speakeasy vibe cocktail bar had its own melody. We were lucky to be seated in the middle of the U shaped bar. Introduced to the French edition of the Danico Xplorer cocktail menu where this iteration of drinks is inspired by France’s regional culinary traditions, local ingredients, and spirits. These offerings are part of the final chapter in a series of seasonal menus dedicated to other cultures (e.g. Mexico and Japan). My favorite of the night came in the form of France in a Perfume bottle: citadelle gin, St-Germaine, jasmine, flower cordial, elderflower pickles, and ylang-ylang. The sweetness from the ylang ylang was both aromatic and seductive with spirt forwardness that doesn’t get lost in the floral scents. Along with the fun and talented bartenders, there were a few regulars and new comers that contributed to the enchanting wavelength at Danico, sharing other places that share a similar level of craftsmanship for cocktails. Look forward to another seasonal menu in the future. Merci beaucoup!

Absolutely delightful time there. Both food and drink selections were top notch. I recommend their limited edn, a burst of flavours. I thoroughly enjoyed the pizza with apricot, nduja, straciatella as well -- all the good things!
Edoardo Lugli★★★★★
After visiting many cocktail bars around the world, I can honestly say Danico fully deserves its reputation. The cocktails are outstanding. Every drink is precise, balanced, creative and, most importantly, genuinely enjoyable to drink. You immediately notice the amount of research and technical skill behind the menu, but nothing ever feels forced or overly complicated. What made the experience truly memorable, though, was the hospitality. A special thank you to Tiago and Julien, who made us feel at home from the moment we sat down. They were incredibly welcoming, generous with their knowledge, and even recommended some fantastic places to visit around Paris. Their service was attentive, genuine and effortlessly professional—the kind of hospitality that elevates an already exceptional bar into an unforgettable experience. Beautiful space, world-class drinks, and a team that perfectly understands what true hospitality means. Danico is absolutely worth the visit, and I’ll be looking forward to coming back.

★★★★★ One of my favorite places in Paris and definitely one of the spots I keep coming back to every time I’m in the city. It’s a calm and relaxed bar with great music and a really nice atmosphere. The owner, Nicolai, is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the place feel even more comfortable. It has become one of my go-to places in Paris. A great spot to have a drink, enjoy the music, and just relax.

One of the best bars we found in Paris. Mainly because the service was friendly, the drinks and cocktails were good, and the price was very reasonable. There was a friendly atmosphere in this bar and we were made to feel very welcome. Would recommend to anyone going to Paris for a friendly stop.

Wife and I travelled to Paris for our 7th wedding anniversary and had this bar on the radar. It most definitely lived up to, met and surpassed all expectations. The service from the staff is exceptional. We walked in on Monday night and we're met with friendly, kind, professional and attentive staff and service. From Rafael, OG, Luciard (sorry for butchering your name mon Ami) and the super friendly Portuguese staff member who kindly spoke to us in Spanish. The drinks were unbelievable, incredibly well thought, crafted and excuted. All hitting their spots and captivating your senses. The food although snack/bar food is fantastic and prepared to order. Everything was delivered without a wait and perfectly prepared. Definitely worth a visit and should most definitely be ranked higher than #20 in the world.

The bartenders were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the whole experience even better. The cocktails we tried were amazing, especially the Ultimate Credits and Midnight Driver, both were outstanding and full of flavor. If you don't drink alcohol there are some non-alcoholic options aswell :)) If you're looking for a great place to enjoy creative drinks and excellent service, this is definitely worth a visit.

Great Pub / Cocktail Bar. The Cambridge Public House looks like a pub and has the relaxed atmosphere of a pub but then also mixes that with the feel of a cocktail bar - serving excellent quality cocktails. You can order a half pint and a mini cocktail if you're struggling to pick between the two. A very fun concept! The cocktails were super good. Very professional, delicious and interesting. Service was great. We didn't have food but it looked great - fun small plates, cheese and some pub classics like pies and sausage rolls. Highly recommend.

I was skeptical due to the name while in Paris, but after 3 people/sources recommended it, we had to go. Incredible bar with great drinks, solid atmosphere and music, wonderful bartenders. Had a fantastic time!

Typo edit! Since I wrote this review way too drunk, honestly don’t even remember writing it, but thanks for the response! 😂 Wonderful nightcap in Paris. Another bar from the 50 best list. Only reviewing the cocktails since the only food item they had available was Welsh rarebit which honestly went really well with the drinks, and I would get it again I’m gonna start with the bad, I was not a fan at all of the 99 luftbaloons because it was very onion heavy (I don’t like savory cocktails) but the wife ordered it. Since it was the first round I was kinda worried but I’m glad I ventured on! Sometimes when drink doesn’t click you go onto the next place but everything else was amazing. The fools gold and Pimm’s 7? was a highlight and every other cocktail was perfect I think Thomas was the bartender. The staff, service and atmosphere was amazing . I had zero complaits as everything impeccable Easy recommendation. Especially when I’m So close, since the bar is only a ten min walk from my hotel. *wow that was a lot of edits. Thanks for responding to my awful post 😂

Tips for Enjoying the Paris Bar Scene

To make the most of your evenings in Paris, it helps to understand a few unwritten rules and local customs. The city operates on a different rhythm than many other major capitals, and knowing when to go, what to order, and how to behave will elevate your experience from a simple drink to an authentic cultural immersion. Here are some essential tips to keep in mind as you explore the city’s vibrant nightlife.

1). Embrace the Aperitif Hour

The French rarely rush to a bar late at night without a preamble. The golden hours are between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM, when locals gather for an apéro. This is the best time to secure a seat at popular spots without a reservation and to enjoy a lighter, more social atmosphere.

2). Don’t Be Afraid to Ring the Bell

Many of the most exclusive “speakeasy” style bars in Paris have unmarked doors or require a doorbell ring to enter. If the door is closed or the venue looks private, try the buzzer. The exclusivity is part of the charm, and they are generally welcoming to polite visitors who have made the effort to find them.

3). Order the House Specialty

While most high-end Parisian bartenders can make a perfect Old Fashioned, their true talent lies in their signature creations. Menus are often seasonal and feature rare French spirits like Calvados, Armagnac, or artisanal liqueurs. Step out of your comfort zone and trust the menu.

4). Reservations are Your Best Friend

For the top-tier cocktail destinations, especially on weekends, walking in without a reservation often means a long wait or a polite refusal. Check the venue’s website or social media a few days in advance to book a table, particularly if you are visiting with a group.

5). Dress the Part

Parisians tend to dress up for a night out, even if the style is “effortlessly chic.” While sneakers are now common in casual wine bars, high-end hotel bars and cocktail lounges appreciate a smart-casual dress code. Leave the athletic wear and flip-flops at the hotel.

The beauty of drinking in Paris lies in the details—the way the ice is cut, the story behind a family-owned vineyard, or the architectural details of a historic cellar. By slowing down and treating a night out as an event rather than a means to an end, you align yourself with the Parisian philosophy of pleasure. It is not about quantity, but the quality of the moment.

As you wander from the winding streets of Montmartre to the bustling terraces of the Left Bank, let your curiosity guide you. The venues listed above are more than just places to drink; they are destinations that offer a taste of the city’s soul, one carefully crafted glass at a time.
