Paris has long been synonymous with gastronomy, but for decades, the city’s relationship with Italian cuisine was often overshadowed by its own formidable culinary identity. Today, a new generation of chefs and restaurateurs has elevated the scene, moving far beyond the standard tourist trattoria to embrace regional authenticity and modern creativity.
Whether you are craving a perfect Neapolitan pizza, handmade pasta, or a refined tasting menu with Italian soul, the French capital delivers. The best Italian tables in Paris are not confined to one neighborhood, though pockets like the Sentier, the Marais, and Saint-Germain-des-Prés have become hotspots.
You will find everything from tiny, wood-paneled enotecas serving natural wine to glamorous dining rooms where white truffles are shaved tableside. The common thread among the city’s finest is a dedication to sourcing—importing DOP cheeses, San Marzano tomatoes, and artisanal flour directly from Italy.
Reservations are essential at the most sought-after addresses, often booked out weeks in advance. For the spontaneous traveler, many of these establishments keep a few seats at the bar or offer a late-night walk-in window. Understanding the rhythm of Parisian dining—where dinner rarely begins before 7:30 PM—will also improve your chances of securing a table at a prime hour.
This curated list focuses on quality, consistency, and atmosphere, ensuring you experience the full spectrum of Italian cooking in the City of Light. From casual lunch spots perfect for a plate of cacio e pepe to celebratory venues ideal for a multi-course feast, there is a destination for every craving and budget. The criteria include ingredient quality, cooking technique, service warmth, and overall value.
Parisians have learned to judge an Italian restaurant by its pasta water, its olive oil, and the char on its pizza crust. The following selections have earned their reputations through years of dedication to these details, and each offers a distinct interpretation of Italy’s rich culinary heritage.
Whether you are a local looking to explore beyond your usual haunt or a visitor eager to balance croissants with carbonara, this guide will point you toward the most memorable plates in town. Each recommendation reflects current dining trends, recent chef changes, and consistent praise from both critics and regulars. Use this list as your starting point for an unforgettable Italian meal in Paris.

My daughter recommended that we have lunch at Pink Mamma, and we’re so glad we came.
As tourists from Taiwan, our French is very limited. Fortunately, our waiter was incredibly friendly, attentive, and thoughtful, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.
The three of us ordered the Burrata e Pappa al Pomodoro, Mafaldine al Tartufo, Risotto agli Asparagi, and the T-Bone Fiorentina to share. Every dish was absolutely delicious, with generous portions and excellent flavors.
The restaurant itself has an amazing atmosphere, beautiful décor, vibrant energy, and a warm Italian vibe that made the whole experience memorable.
We were planning to order the Tiramisù for dessert, but we were simply too full after such a satisfying meal. It’s already at the top of our list for our next visit!
Highly recommended! We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Paris.
Nad★★★★☆
The restaurant is spacious and has multiple floors, going up to the open air floor. Reservations must be made since you will most likely never find free spot immediately or have to simply sit in a free spot at the bar.
The food is delicious, especially the asparagus and fries, but the portions aren't that big and they were a bit too salty (they used big sized salt which is very flavory). Also, the pesto is really good and light as well as the truffle dip with the burrata. As for the pizza, it's a delicious one and the portion is good, regular like in other pizza places, which is great! The mousse au chocolat is delicious with the salty addition of caramel, and the classic tiramisu is also good but the taste of coffee is very light for those who love a dominant coffee flavor. As for the drinks, they have a large selection and you'd be really tempted to try them all. The selection of fruity beers is perfect!
The guy who served our table was incredibly friendly, joked around, and was fast. We really loved his energy and friendliness.
I would say that the hype is more for the quality of ingredients that they use and the quality of reception from the staff, rather than a breakthrough in the dishes. Still, it's a lovely experience to have.

This is an extremely popular Italian restaurant, and making a reservation in advance is highly recommended. Its reputation is well deserved, as every dish we tried was outstanding.
The signature truffle pasta was undoubtedly the star of the meal. The pasta was perfectly cooked with a delightfully chewy texture, while the rich and creamy truffle sauce delivered an intense depth of flavor that was simply unforgettable. Every bite was indulgent and beautifully balanced, making it one of the best pasta dishes I have ever tasted.
The tiramisu was equally impressive, offering a smooth and delicate texture with just the right level of sweetness. The pizza was also excellent.
Marco Girelli★★★★★
Traditional Neapolitan pizza with delicious, high-quality ingredients. The crust was unfortunately a bit too burnt on the bottom, but I guess it was one of the first pizzas in a very hot oven, so that can sometimes happen.
I had the Spicy Pizza, which was really tasty. I especially enjoyed the 'nduja—I had really missed it!
The service was friendly, with mostly Italian staff, which added to the authentic atmosphere. The restaurant is nicely decorated, and even if you dine alone, they have comfortable counter seating.
For dessert, I had the panna cotta with red berries, which was delicious. I also had a beer, and the total came to €34, which I think is a fair price by Paris standards.
Overall, a very good experience. I'd definitely come back.

This is one of the best meals I've had in Paris. Pasta was fresh, Pizza was thin crust and cooked to perfection... Our server Tiziana was so kind, polite and cheerful. Best service. I would highly recommend going here, even if it is out of your way... worth the travel and wait times too. Must try tiramisu!!!

We visited your wonderful place, and thank you so much — everything was absolutely delicious. We are residents of New York and very particular when it comes to food, so it is not easy to please us.
On our first day in Paris, we were lucky enough to find your restaurant through the internet. We really wanted to try the seafood pasta and the meat pasta.
To say it was delicious is not enough — it was truly outstanding. Both the cooking and the service were exceptional, very refined and tasteful. The prices are also very reasonable for everyone. The cocktail with basil and lime was absolutely wonderful.
The owner of the restaurant saw us off — such a warm and hospitable person. We wish him prosperity and success in his business, and hope everything continues to go well for him. He has been running this restaurant for 26 years — may it continue for at least another 126!
We will definitely come back on our next visit. And thank you for the limoncello — I never thought it could be such a delicious drink. Thank you once again!

Great restaurant for an stress-free dinner. Excellent selection of authentic pasta and Italian food. We chose a delicious Chianti to drink with our meals and loved the fact that they had the option of a small bottle. The manger/ owner is super nice and friendly and so is all other waitress staff. Highly recommend!

A Birthday Dinner We’ll Never Forget.
We had dinner at Al Caratello before attending the Moulin Rouge, and it was such a wonderful start to the evening.
What made the experience especially memorable was that the restaurant remembered I had mentioned we were celebrating a 70th birthday. At the end of the meal, they surprised Annette with tiramisu, a candle, a sparkler, and the entire restaurant joined in singing Happy Birthday to her.
It was such a thoughtful and joyful moment, and one she will always remember.
The service throughout the evening was excellent — attentive, warm, and perfectly timed — and the food was absolutely delicious.
Al Caratello gave us not only a wonderful meal, but a beautiful memory during a very special week in Paris. I would highly recommend it, especially if you are looking for a restaurant that combines great food with genuinely warm hospitality.

Ordered Tagliata Silvio - the rib steak was too rubbery to chew. We thought the zucchini eggplant roll would be a cooked dish but it’s actually a salad and could have used a bit more flavor. The seafood pasta was not bad. Overall, nice ambiance, family style. the service was friendly though quite slow- we waited a long time for the mains

A true little gem in Paris! We had such a wonderful evening here with our children and felt warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived. The restaurant is cozy, charming, and has a lovely family atmosphere.
What stood out most was the exceptional service. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and patient with our children, making us feel comfortable and cared for throughout the evening.
The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, authentic, and clearly prepared with great care. Every dish was excellent, and the whole experience exceeded our expectations.
A big thank you to the entire team for their hospitality and warmth. We will always remember this special evening and would happily return the next time we visit Paris. Highly recommended!

Honestly, this is the best restaurant in Paris. An italian gem. Forget all the hyped up social media ones, please come here to experience authentic Italian food and the best service ever. You make a reservation, you will have the best time trust me. The owner loves to sing to his guests and he is great at it. Have never had a Frutti di mare like this one (and have had maaany in Italy). LOVE. Best regards from Sweden. ❤️

My family chance upon this place for dinner , and it was such a good find ! Definitely recommend this place if you are in Paris looking for good Italian food. The staff were so friendly. Nina, who attended to us, made us felt welcomed at the get go and she was so accomodating to our requests. The warmth she exuded during our meal here and the prompt service by both her and her boss made us so happy!
The boss gave us a pleasant suprise with his singing , and check with every table on their meal satisfaction — a rare find these days!
We had Burrata parma ham, Vongole, Frutti di Mare, Arrabita and Salmon grigliato for dinner , we were satisfied with all the choices and every meal was delicious ! We ended off with Tiramisu , sweet ending to our meal indeed.

The space is a bit cramped.
At least 3 of the wines we wanted were either not available in the quantity we wanted or not available at all (though we went purely by what was written on the menu).
The wine arrived after the food - a cardinal sin.
But all these quibbles pale in comparison to the terrific food served. It's fair to say we were a happy bunch by the end of it all.
One of the staff members broke into an impromptu song, which all of us enjoyed. I'm posting a video of the performance - without permission. Apologies to all concerned for this liberty I've taken.

Found this place via Google Maps and the 8000 positive reviews immediately caught my attention.
The food here is amazing, with great quality pasta and pizza dough. The truffle tortellini very truly phenomenal, probably the best dish with truffle I have ever had!
The service is quick and responsive, with kinder servers compared to other places here in Paris. I also liked the simple atmosphere, the space is pretty open and vibrant.
Overall, I definitely recommend to visit this place when you are visiting Paris!

Excellent visit here! We were dropped off nearby by our tour bus and we were looking for somewhere well regarded to eat at. This restaurant popped up high on the charts so we decided to give it a chance. It has a lovely outdoor seating area but we sat inside given our lack of reservation. It was still very pretty inside. The Emily in Paris bruschetta was excellent, as were my truffles, and my wife's mozzarella and pesto pizza.
As a bonus, the wait staff were very friendly and accommodating of our complete lack of French language ability. Thank you!

We had a lovely meal here. The service was friendly and swift. The food was excellent, with homemade pasta and pinsa. The tiramisu was balanced exactly how it should be.
We would definitely return.

Il Grano was one of my favorite meals in Paris. Everything from the presentation to the quality of the ingredients was outstanding. I started with the burrata, which was incredibly fresh and creamy, paired with sweet tomatoes, fragrant basil, and a delicious pesto. For my main course, I had the truffle ravioli, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Rich, perfectly cooked, and generously finished with fresh truffle and Parmesan, it was one of those dishes you keep thinking about long after you’ve left.
I also appreciated that they offered Peroni 0.0, giving those of us who don’t drink alcohol a great beer option without feeling like an afterthought.
The atmosphere struck a perfect balance between elegant and relaxed. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, making it an easy place to settle in and enjoy a leisurely meal.
If I had one suggestion, it would be to expand the non-alcoholic drink selection by adding a quality red and white alcohol-free wine. It would pair beautifully with the food and round out an already excellent dining experience.
I wouldn’t hesitate to come back the next time I’m in Paris. Highly recommended for anyone looking for exceptional Italian food in a beautiful setting.

I visited Il Grano twice during my week in Paris, and that says everything. The food was consistently outstanding, with fresh, flavorful pasta and beautifully prepared dishes. The server Nicolo was just as impressive—friendly, attentive, and welcoming without ever feeling rushed.
As a solo traveler, I felt completely comfortable dining here, and the staff made every visit enjoyable. If you’re looking for authentic yet modern Italian food in Paris with excellent service, I highly recommend Il Grano. I’ll definitely return the next time I’m in Paris.

We went to this Italian restaurant yesterday. Overall, the experience was okay, but I expected a bit more.
The pasta was average — not bad, but not very memorable. Maybe we just chose the wrong dishes, because judging by the reviews, many people really like this place.
We also had carpaccio with lemon, and parmesan as an appetizer, and it was very good. But the best dish of the evening was definitely the tiramisu — it was the most delicious part of the dinner. The portion was big and the dessert was really excellent.

This place has my heart! I haven’t tried the mains on the menu yet! I always go for pastas and they are irresistibly gorgeous! So delicious and Al dente just the way it should be! Nice, cute, tiny and cozy place. You must really be stupid if you have leftovers in your plate by the end of your meal😌
Staff is super friendly!
Service 10/10
Ambience 10/10 (I personally love it)
Food 11/10
Oh, and make sure you don’t leave the restaurant without having any desserts (even if you have diabetes or not😉) Panna Cotta is your love at first sight and it should be illegal to leave without having tiramisu!
They are pretty generous with their portions. After all, its an Italian restaurant💁🏼♂️
Can’t wait for my next pasta day🥰🥰

If you’re craving authentic Italian comfort food in Paris, Respiro is an absolute hidden gem that completely exceeded our expectations!
We ordered their signature ham pizza, and without exaggeration, it was the absolute best pizza we had during our entire trip to Paris. The crust was perfection—light, airy, with a beautiful leopard-spotted char and a chew that only proper sourdough can deliver. Topped with high-quality, savory ham, rich melted mozzarella, and a bright tomato sauce, every bite was sheer bliss.
For our pasta, we went with the Penne Bolognese. The penne was cooked to a precise al dente, tossed in a rich, slow-simmered meat ragù that tasted deeply comforting and homemade. It held onto the thick sauce beautifully.
We finished off the meal on a sweet note with their classic Tiramisu. It was heavenly—wonderfully light, velvety mascarpone cream layered over espresso-soaked ladyfingers with just the right touch of cocoa powder. It was sweet without being cloying, offering the ultimate sweet ending to an Italian feast.
Combined with warm, friendly service and a cozy, inviting atmosphere, Respiro delivers a genuine taste of Italy right in the heart of Paris. An absolute must-visit spot for pizza and pasta lovers! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a great find for authentic Italian food in Paris. We fully enjoyed the eggplant parmigiana appetizer and I then had spaghetti bolognese and my wife enjoyed salmon parmigiana. The tomato sauce was cooked perfectly and you could taste the carrots and celery which added a nice flavor to this slow cooked gravy. If you’re seeking a break from Parisian food when in Paris and you’re in Les Marais, this is a great place. Everything was fresh and homemade.

Sometimes eating alone can be daunting—especially on warm summer nights when folks are out with friends. I'd also been hankering for real carbonara, and this place had good reviews. I usually don't leave a review unless it's really memorable in some aspect. In this case, although they were extremely busy, I did NOT get the typical "cold shoulder why are you here" French server attidude haha. Quite the opposite: Emmanuella and Francesca both greeted me with such big smiles. They were sooooo nice and warm. I didn't feel alone or embarrassed, and they let me know I could ask for help without reservation. And a funny additional note: the table of 4 next to me was asked by Emma if they wanted Parmesan. They said yes then joked it'll be 5-10 minutes and one guy started his stopwatch. Not even 30 seconds later Emma reappeared with that cheese, and I was like GO GIRL! 🤣 She dispelled that notion tout de suite. And that's how great the service was. And last, but not least, Amen at front-of-house was super courteous and attentive. For the service alone, I'd go back, and that's the biggest hurdle in Paris. The carbonara guanciale was crispy and delicious, too. Highly recommend for casual Italian in Ledru Rollin.

East Mamma was easily one of the highlights of my dining experience and absolutely lived up to the hype. The restaurant has a cozy Italian charm with warm décor and a lively atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a neighborhood trattoria in Italy.
We started with a glass of white wine, which paired perfectly with the meal. The truffle pasta was rich, creamy, and packed with earthy truffle flavor without being overwhelming. The spicy sausage pizza was another standout, featuring a perfectly crisp crust, quality ingredients, and just the right amount of heat. To finish, the pistachio chocolate profiterole was decadent and indulgent—the perfect sweet ending to an excellent meal.
Service was friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout the evening, adding to the overall experience. Every dish we ordered was a hit, and the quality of the food justified the popularity of this spot. If you’re visiting Paris and can secure a reservation through Resy, it’s absolutely worth it.
5/5 – A fantastic Italian meal with great food, welcoming service, and a charming atmosphere.

I visited this restaurant during my stay in Paris, near the street where I was staying. I passed by it several times, always crowded, so I made a reservation in advance. I ordered a pizza and a pasta, both of which were absolutely perfect. The pizza crust was cooked to perfection, the flavors were spot on, and the cheese on top made it even better. For dessert, I ordered tiramisu, which was freshly baked and incredibly delicious. I highly recommend this place for authentic Italian food.

This restaurant was spectacular. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. We order the Mezza rigatonia ala gricia and the Hotline pizza.
The pasta was creamy, savory, and salty. It was absolutely delicious and was packed with flavor even though it only had a few simple ingredients.
The pizza was a classic napolitano with extremely fresh ingredients. The tomato sauce was vibrant and the star of the show with the topping balancing it out well. The dough was soft and light.
We also enjoyed the panna cotta for dessert which was some of the best we’ve ever had. It was so balanced and not too sweet. The vanilla custard was made with fresh vanilla bean and it was phenomenal!
What a gem of a restaurant! We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Paris.

We had been going to the Big Love restaurant for several years. It was a place we really enjoyed because the food was excellent, and the atmosphere and service were also very good. This time, by chance, we discovered that the same brand operates several restaurants under different names, and this was one of them, so we decided to visit.
Fortunately, it opened at 12 o’clock, but we arrived much earlier. While trying to figure out how to pass the time, we found a large market right at the entrance of the street where the restaurant is located. Although it was not extremely diverse, it was fun to look around before heading to the restaurant.
At 12 o’clock sharp, the staff all came out and gave a short, welcoming performance in Italian, which felt very warm and lively. I only wish I had been able to record it.
Now, regarding the food itself, anyone who has been to Big Love would immediately recognise the consistent quality. It is a place you can confidently trust for good food. The only regret is that, being just the two of us, we could not order more dishes to try. I am even thinking about going again tomorrow.
The reason I did not give it a full 5 stars is simply down to my personal preference. The bottles of alcohol on the bar and the olive oil jars are part of the restaurant’s interior design, but to me they looked as though a layer of dust had built up quite heavily, giving a slightly sticky impression. It is just not my style.
Overall, the food and service today were excellent and highly recommended.

The place has a really lovely atmosphere — warm, stylish, and inviting. The service could be a bit sharper, but it’s generally friendly. The food was average overall: the pizzas are tasty and flavorful, but they’re so thin that they fall apart easily and can’t really be lifted without breaking. On the upside, the cocktails are great, well balanced and definitely worth trying.

First time in Paris and first time at Ober Mamma — and wow, what a way to kick things off! I went with the Mafaldine al Pesto (V) 🍝 and it did not disappoint: light, fresh, and just plain yummy. Paired it with a Big Pisco 🍹 that was so refreshing and perfectly balanced. 10/10, would come back just for this combo!

Food was tasty, the ambiance was lovely, and the staff were very accommodating. The truffle pasta is a bomb! Can't get over the taste. Overall, a nice dining experience and worth trying! Will definitely be back when in Paris!

This place has a great selection of pastas and apps. They tasted great but some dishes like white asparagus was trying to hard it too away from the great taste of the vegetables it self. I also think pasta for being freshly cooked wasn't soft it was a bit more al dente.

Sweet little Italian restaurant with very delicious food. We found this place spontaneously and were lucky to get the last free table outside. The restaurant only has a few seats, so making a reservation might be a good idea. It’s absolutely worth a try.
We started with the truffle rice balls with a Parmesan cream, and they were excellent. Unfortunately, I didn’t take a picture. The truffle flavor was nicely balanced, and the Parmesan cream was very good.
For the main course, we had the spaghetti pomodoro with meatballs and the rigatoni alla zozzona. The meatballs were a little bland—in my opinion, they could have used a bit more salt—but that was the only negative point. The pomodoro sauce was perfect, not too sour or boring like some simple tomato sauces can be.
The rigatoni alla zozzona were a new experience for me, as I had never tried this dish before. It was delicious—like a mix of carbonara and amatriciana. I can definitely recommend trying it.
We also had a bottle of wine, and overall it was a lovely evening.

We came to Osteria Bruto for lunch and honestly had such a great experience. The food was really good, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was super fast. Everything felt fresh, tasty, and really well done.
But more than anything, the service completely stood out. The two gentlemen working there were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, and they genuinely made the whole experience feel special. I would honestly come back just for the service alone — they were that good.
Definitely recommend Osteria Bruto if you’re looking for a great spot with amazing food and even better hospitality!

Our waiter was extremely attentive, ensuring our drinks were full at all times. Gave recommendations on food, and genuinely added so much to the experience.
The food was sublime - I noted the calamari in particular was better than any Italian food I'd eaten in Rome. It was zesty, fresh and beautifully soft. The pasta was lovely, the only comments I would make would be a personal preference on it being al dente.
This is a stand out restaurant in Paris, you'll be disappointed you didn't go!

It was not only fantastic food but also kind of feeling home with lovely Thierry (mon Cherié). We will say hello to Jersey for you. Thank you so much for the perfect service and pleasant time!

Our visit to La Casa Di Alfio was a positive experience even though it fell a bit short of being truly delightful.
We were a group of four with a toddler, and circumstances led two of us to sit down while the other two had to roam around and entertain the toddler. I recognize this area sees a lot of tourists, but the server seemed to think that this group of two is trying to hoard a table of four (I don't know why anyone would) and insisted we order 4 main course dishes right away (something we would have done anyway), but the tenor of the conversation was disappointing.
We ordered the L'Escalope Milanaise d'Alfio, the Gnocchi a la creme de Truffle, the Veggie Pizza, and the Bruschetta(Ail Et Grana Padano). The Milanaise came with linguine pasta in Tomato sauce and a salad. The portion size was great but the pasta and the chicken tasted somewhat bland. The chili oil on the table was a much needed addition and helped add delicious flavor and a spicy kick to the chicken and the pasta.
The same was true for the Pizza and Gnocchi. The base flavor tended to be mild, almost bland. The chili oil saved the day!
The Virgin Spritz was an incredibly generous pouring, and the Cappuccino was refreshing and sharp (exactly what I needed).
All in all, we enjoyed the meal but there was some room for improvement!

Dining Outdoors with a glass of wine in Paris is definitely on my bucket list and it is everything I wanted and more! The service was great the ambiance was spectacular and the linguine tasted amazing especially the carbonara and the pesto

Great spot! The pizza was very tasty. It was a little too thin so we had to eat with a fork and knife instead of our hands. However the ingredients were great. This is a cute, smaller and more intimate restaurant. The service was incredible as our waiter was friendly and attentive!
TARIK BUĞRAHAN GÜNGÖR★★★☆☆
Pasta de pesto and Gnocchis Creme Truffe were not good and tasty,
We ordered Cesar Salad but there wasn’t Cesar souses inside, we asked reason they said it has been finished but if finished why you serviced or not telling before!
Atmosphere is good, service is good
But not deserving 4 stars because of poor taste of foods.

La Casa di Alfio has become our restaurant in Paris—truly the place we return to every single time we’re in the city. No trip feels complete without a meal here.
On our most recent visit, we were lucky enough to be served by Bavly, whose exceptional service made the experience even more memorable. Bavly was warm, attentive, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived.
The food, as always, was outstanding—beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and consistently delicious. But it’s the combination of the cuisine, the atmosphere, and the outstanding service from servers like Bavly that keeps us coming back year after year.

Let me start by saying i wasn't sure about coming to this place because the place next door wqs packed and I almost went there. But I am so glad I came here. The food was unbelievable. If I can rate the food a 10/5 I would. Yes the downside is modifications aren't allowed due to store policy but the food was perfect just the way it was. Also please ask for Vincenzo... Vincenzo from Palermo. Not only was he kind to me and my family knowing that we came with 2 kids and also a newborn but also super patient. Let me also add that we didn't have a reservation but he took us in right away. Ask for him to be ypur server and you'll have an amazing time. Overall a great experience and just really really really good food. Go glad I came here. Thank you Vincenzo.

It’s very good. I agree with another, as god or maybe more enjoyable than when I done in Italy. Very friendly and they are quick to accommodate English speaking guests. The arugula with roasted vegetables and balsamic was delicious! The truffle pasta was wonderful. Perfectly cooked and I smelled truffle. The portions were not too small- plenty big for one person. Peaceful and calm atmosphere on the patio.

Visited from NYC and we were floored by how amazing the food was. The sauce was delicious and the pasta was cooked to perfection. The aubergine/egg plant was cooked with the perfect combination of tender and crisp. You MUST order the burrata with your pasta, you won’t regret it! They are very generous with their serving and the price was great. The owner and staff were very attentive and friendly. We highly recommend coming here! We hope to return during our next visit:)!

Had really lovely service - we had to wait for a table, but that was our fault for coming early for our reservation. Yet our fabulous waitress still gave us a glass of Limoncello each at the end of our meal as an apology. Really sweet. She was a delight. Part of the space is open air but walled halfway so you are protected from the street but still have fresh air and can enjoy eating al fresco. The pasts is OK. It's hard to get good pasta in Paris, and if you are craving it, this is the place to go. But's it's over-sauced and the bolognese was very heavily a tomato sauce, and bizarrely they put some pesto on top. The bread is not great. But the pasta itself is good and cooked correctly. A decent spot for pasta!

As soon as I saw it from afar I new I was going to love it.I went in and the staff was really friendly, they welcomed me and my family with a warm smile. Since we are Italian we know what good food taste like and honestly I’ve never tasted anything like this!! I had a simple pasta with DELICIOUS tomato sauce and I immediately rated it five stars. My family ate with great gusto and kept on saying that it was delicious! I really recommend this restaurant because it was an amazing experience and hope with your family will to!!!!!

My partner and I really liked this place! I ordered the puttanesca and my partner ordered the seafood pasta. My pasta was so flavorful and hit the spot. My partner also enjoyed his pasta - it was a generous portion of clams and mussels!
The server and owner were very nice and accommodating. I asked for chili flakes and they offered to make my pasta spicy while cooking, which was really nice and unexpected

We were staying in Montparnasse area and had to look for a place that is still open at late night (near 11pm). The manager / owner was very welcoming and sat us, recommended his special pasta which my husband really loved. I had the risotto which was also very delicious. The food serving is big so go here if you are really hungry. And as I said, the food quality is great and authentic. The place is clean and the staff are friendly. Would definitely recommend this place for Italian cuisine if staying in the area.

Wow. I have two words: thank you !!!! I arrived with no reservation and even though the place was packed, the very kind Italian owner was able to welcome me. Since the beginning, he had a smile and acted the definition of hospitality. Now, the food, OMG ! I had a caprese salad and the owner gave me a sign from far away telling me to add olive oil and he was so right, amazing. Then, the truffle risotto was to die for, one of the best I’ve ever had. Truly authentic Italian cuisine. The Italian chef even came to greet people in the end and help to close service. The people, the nice atmosphere, and the food all deserve a congratulations. I recommend eyes closed !!

I ate at the restaurant twice during my 6 day trip in Paris. It is recommended to me by a local. The restaurant is charming and situated in a quiet street in the 6th. We had the pasta amartricini and pasta bolognese. The pasta is home made and cooked very Al denté to our liking. The staff is kind and friendly. This is a rather authentic Italian restaurant. Highly recommend.

We made a reservation at this restaurant after a long day of walking while exploring Paris, and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences of our trip!

Came around 6:30 PM and was seated immediately. The crowd started to build up around 7:00 PM, and the waiting time can become quite long during peak hours. Overall, the food was delicious and well-prepared. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. The atmosphere was pleasant, making it an enjoyable dining experience. I would recommend arriving a little earlier to avoid the dinner rush. Overall, a great place for a good meal.

I visited Chez Pippo with my family during our stay in Paris. We ordered the Trofie al Pesto di Pippo, which came with pesto, pine nuts and Parmesan, as well as the Tagliolini with aged Parmesan cream, mushrooms and fresh truffle.
Overall, the food was good and well presented, but to be fair, some of the flavours were not really to our personal taste. The pesto pasta was the favourite, especially with the children, and they enjoyed it. The other pasta dish looked very appealing, but the flavour was not quite what we expected and some of us did not particularly enjoy it.
This is more a matter of personal taste than saying the food was bad. The ingredients seemed good and the dishes were nicely prepared, but based on our experience, they did not fully meet our expectations in terms of flavour.
Overall, a good Italian restaurant and a decent experience, but not among our favourite meals in Paris. 4/5.

Fantastic!!! Fantastic food, fantastic staff! We enjoyed the home made pasta! It was delicious! Two of us had the Old permasian pasta with mushrooms, my hubby has the pasta with bolognese sauce. Amazing! We also enjoyed the Arugula salad. The staff speak English and are very friendly and helpful. Can recommend the meal, wine or cocktail. Selection of wines , some beers and cocktails available. Just a few steps from the Eiffel tower lawn area. After dinner we walked over to see the Eiffel tower 🗼 all lit up for the night. Definitely a great restaurant, we would highly recommend it.

We were looking for Italian food around the neighborhood, saw this place, and walked in. The pizzas were amazingly delicious!!
Service was quick too!
Our first waitress, who got us seated, was a bit rude and dismissive, but the other one who actually served us was a sweet, nice, lovely lady.
Everything was great, and prices were okay too. Recommended.
Tips for Choosing the Best Italian Restaurant in Paris
Navigating the sheer volume of Italian restaurants in Paris can feel overwhelming, especially when every corner café advertises “authentic” pizza. To help you avoid tourist traps and find the real deal, keep these practical strategies in mind. They will save you time, money, and the disappointment of a mediocre bowl of pasta in a city where excellence is the standard.
1). Look for a focused, regional menu
The most authentic Italian restaurants in Paris do not try to serve every dish from Milan to Palermo. A short menu that changes with the seasons or highlights one specific region—such as Emilia-Romagna, Campania, or Sicily—is a strong indicator of a kitchen that values depth over breadth. If you see lasagna, risotto, pizza, and carbonara all on the same laminated menu with photos, walk away.
2). Check the pizza oven and flour type
For pizzerias, a wood-fired or domed electric oven reaching at least 450°C is non-negotiable. Many top spots proudly list their flour supplier, often a mill in Naples or the Veneto, on the menu or website. Ask if the dough undergoes a long fermentation—48 to 72 hours is ideal for digestibility and that signature leopard-spotted crust.
3). Pay attention to pasta preparation
Fresh pasta is not automatically better than dried; it depends on the dish. Tagliatelle and ravioli should be made in-house daily, while spaghetti and rigatoni are often best when using high-quality bronze-die extruded dried pasta from brands like Gentile or Mancini. A restaurant that understands this distinction respects Italian culinary tradition.
4). Observe the wine list for regional diversity
A great Italian restaurant in Paris should offer more than just Chianti and Pinot Grigio. Look for lesser-known indigenous grapes like Nerello Mascalese, Timorasso, or Pecorino. Natural and biodynamic selections are increasingly common and signal a thoughtful beverage program that complements the food rather than competing with it.
5). Time your visit strategically
Lunch is often the best value at high-end Italian restaurants, with fixed-price menus that cost a fraction of dinner. If you want a lively atmosphere, book for 8:30 PM or later, when Parisians fill the dining rooms. For a quieter experience, the first seating at 7:00 PM or a late lunch after 1:30 PM works well.
6). Do not skip the antipasti and desserts
Many diners focus only on pizza and pasta, but the true test of an Italian kitchen lies in its starters and sweets. A well-executed vitello tonnato, a creamy burrata served at room temperature, or a properly made tiramisu with real mascarpone and espresso-soaked savoiardi reveals the chef’s attention to detail. Order at least one dish from each category.
Paris rewards diners who approach Italian food with the same seriousness they would apply to a Michelin-starred French meal. By choosing restaurants that prioritize regional authenticity, ingredient sourcing, and technique, you will discover why the city has become one of Europe’s most exciting places to eat Italian cuisine. The best tables transport you to Rome, Naples, or Bologna without ever leaving the Seine’s banks.
