12 Family-Friendly Hotels near Jardin du Luxembourg

Finding the right place to stay in Paris can define your entire trip, especially when traveling with children. The 6th arrondissement, with its literary history and elegant boulevards, offers a calmer alternative to the bustling areas near the Eiffel Tower or Montmartre. Anchored by the sprawling Jardin du Luxembourg, this neighborhood provides a rare combination of open green space, safety, and central access that families often crave.

The Jardin du Luxembourg is not just a park; it is a cultural playground designed for young imaginations. From the iconic wooden sailboats pushed with sticks across the octagonal pond to the puppet theater and the vintage carousel, it offers hours of screen-free entertainment. Staying nearby means you can easily pop back to the hotel for a midday nap or a quick rest before heading out again.

However, "family-friendly" means different things to different families. For some, it is about having connecting rooms and a kid-focused breakfast buffet. For others, it is simply about having enough square footage to fit a crib and a stroller without tripping over luggage. The hotels surrounding the Luxembourg Gardens cater to a wide spectrum of these needs, often blending Parisian chic with practical amenities.

Location is critical when managing jet-lagged toddlers or teenagers eager to explore. Being within walking distance of the RER B train line, which connects directly to Charles de Gaulle Airport, is a massive advantage for families. Furthermore, the proximity to the Latin Quarter and Saint-Germain-des-Prés means you are never far from a crêperie or a casual bistro that welcomes younger diners.

The streets surrounding the garden are quieter than the grand boulevards, offering a residential feel that helps children settle down at night. You will find local bakeries, fromageries, and small grocery stores where you can stock up on snacks for a picnic on the grass. This convenience reduces the stress of having to coordinate formal restaurant meals three times a day.

When selecting a hotel in this area, families should prioritize soundproofing and accessibility. Many historic Haussmannian buildings have been renovated to include modern elevators and air conditioning, but some boutique properties still rely on narrow staircases. Knowing whether a hotel has a ground-floor entrance or a full-service elevator can save you from significant logistical headaches with a stroller.

Below is a curated list of hotels that balance location, comfort, and a welcoming attitude toward younger guests. Whether you are looking for a luxury suite with a view of the gardens or a budget-friendly apartment-style room, these options place you in the heart of one of Paris’s most beloved neighborhoods.

Wonderful, highly recommended. Just checked out after 3 days of stay with my husband. Rooms are all newly designed also lobby. Beautiful. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Superb location next to Luxemburg gardens. 8 min walk to RER. Lots of dinning options just couple of min walking. Was extremely hot but the hotel have great air-conditioning - did not feel the heat at all.

I stayed here recently with my husband and four year old. The hotel could not have been better. The staff was pleasant and attentive. I also felt very secure with someone always being at the front desk to greet you. The breakfast is lovely, and a perfect way to start your day before touring around Paris. I found the location ideal for visiting the main monuments and museums. You are steps away from the Luxembourg Gardens, which was particularly nice when traveling with a toddler. The room was well appointmented; the bed and pillows were comfy, the shower hot with good water pressure, there is a nice tea and coffee station, and you get fresh water daily. I would not hesitate to stay here again..

We had a lovely 10 night stay. This gem of a hotel is tucked away on a quiet Paris street yet feels close to everything. Great cafes and restaurants nearby, plus a pharmacy and grocer across the street. The rooms were very clean and pleasant. We were lucky to have a balcony which we sat on frequently, perfect for taking in that beautiful Paris spring weather. Staff were very friendly, and one of the receptionists Caroline was very helpful with answering my questions via email beforehand, she was quick and informative. All other staff were friendly and showed my fiancee how to use the nespresso machine. We ordered room service one morning and it was delightful and arrived on time, at exactly 8:30 on the dot which was the time we indicated we wanted it. The seltzer water on arrival was a nice touch. Not a complaint, but just as a heads up to foreign travelers, the rooms and elevator are very small compared to American standards. But we found our room to be perfectly adequate for size, even for a 10 night stay. This hotel was the key to having a lovely first trip to Paris.

My wife and I were on vacation and chose this hotel based on its reviews. We felt incredibly welcome, and the service was absolutely fantastic. Breakfast was served in a nice, cozy space, and the service there was also wonderful and friendly. The croissants and pain au chocolat were delicious, too! The location is absolutely perfect. We walked to Notre Dame and the Louvre, but took public transit to see places like the Eiffel Tower. The RER station is just a short walk away, which offers a direct train connection straight from CdG airport. The Luxembourg Gardens (Jardin du Luxembourg) are also right nearby and well worth a visit.
Joe Duell★★★★★
Wonderful hotel close to the metro, RER, and the sights along the Seine or Île de la Cité. The staff were very courteous and responsive, they promptly responded when we notified them of our unfortunate delay. The only minor, but tolerable, downsides were the small elevator (results in long waits during checkout time or breakfast) and the beds were a little hard! We would definitely stay here again.

The front desk staff was amazing. Arranged transportation when we needed it. The rooms were spacious for Paris hotels. The room was clean and the bathroom was great. Excellent water pressure in the shower. Wehad and 8 year old with us and we would certainly stay here again!

Very disappointed. We made a reservation and somehow booked a reservation with another hotel with a similar name. We received an email a week in advance, but given the similar names, I thought it was to the correct hotel. I realized my mistake and indicated that we would not be arriving. They charged us anyway. It was an honest mistake. I asked for some leniency, especially given that I told them at 2 p.m. we wouldn't be there. They could have sold that room. I have received zero empathy.
Yalan Thai★★★★★
The front desk was very accommodating. We arrived early in the morning about 8 AM to drop our luggage. Coincidentally I said we were exhausted because we didn’t sleep at all on the plane. They offered to get our room ready by noon, and after we came back around 1, we were able to check in, so we can take a nap. We really appreciate their thoughtful kindness and care. I travel a lot but seldom see hotels willing to do that. It made our trip easier and happier. As we went in to our room, a small plate of fruit and 2 macarons on the table as a gift to welcome us. So so sweet!❤️ Mu husband rated their breakfast a 5 start continental breakfast. You can also add either ham or bacon for your choices. I love the idea as they put your breakfast on the table for you. Although it seems limited quantities, it doesn’t waste more food as buffet type. Besides, the portions were a lot. It was even too much for us. One more good thing to mention is that they have plates and utensils in the room. So when we bought something back to eat in the room, we have plates and forks to use. The location was in a quiet street and only 2-3 minutes away from train station. Very convenient. I would definitely recommend this small beautiful but friendly hotel if you travel in Paris.

This hotel is very cute. We booked the larger family room for our stay since we are a family of 5 and could all be accomodated in an "apartment-style" room. To our dismay however, the room itself is located on the ground level of the hotel, with sidewalk-level windows. This was not ideal for our family nor was that how the room was advertised online as there was a picture of a window staring out at rooftops. We were only there 2 nights so we just kept it, but we were disappointed. Gregory at the front desk was very nice however and offered several area suggestions and inter-Paris travel advice. The area is unfortunately far from most attractions so you need to Uber everywhere or take the subway where the nearest station is a 12-minute walk. Not ideal.

Really enjoyed our four night stay. The rooms are well appointed and the beds are comfortable. This was our first time in Paris and the location was excellent with lots of places to walk to and places to eat. The staff is very helpful and I want to especially thank Gregory for his excellent customer service.

Love everything about this hotel. Lovely simple rooms with comfortable beds and beautiful style. Great and friendly staff. Perfect location for the Saint Germain area. Our only reservation is that the hotel has closed its very cute bar for private hire only and the restaurant is no longer offering meals, just charcuterie. This means that the "vibe" is compromised and the foyer, bar area feels a bit lifeless. It's a shame as a busy communal area really adds something to the the character of a hotel. But for sleeping and breakfast, excellent.

Our first time in Paris and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The rooms are comfortable and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Of special note, Max was amazing behind the bar! Conversational and kind, he also knows his stuff when it comes to mixing drinks. When I was unsure what to order, he offered to make a unique cocktail using my favorite spirit. It was delicious—so good I ordered it again from Max on the last night of our stay. We are delighted we got to stay here during our time in Paris. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

The best staff in Paris!!! We hosted a big wedding weekend in Paris and the staff at HDGV were so so helpful from the beginning of the planning process through to the very end. They were very accommodating and welcoming. Justine in events, the front desk team and Max the bartender went above and beyond for us. It's such a cozy hotel, in a wonderful location - truly felt like a second home for us.

Our stay at Hotel Des Grands Voyageurs was exceptional from beginning to end. As visitors from Australia we were immediately made to feel welcome by the warm, professional, and attentive team. The hotel is beautifully appointed, combining classic Parisian elegance with modern comfort. The rooms were stylish and comfortable, the facilities excellent, and the location perfect for exploring the many treasures of Paris while still enjoying a peaceful retreat at the end of each day. A very special thank you to Irene, whose friendliness and exceptional hospitality made our stay truly memorable. She consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, always greeting us with a genuine smile and making us feel valued as guests. Her kindness, local knowledge, and attention to detail added a personal touch that transformed a wonderful stay into an unforgettable one. The entire staff deserves recognition for their professionalism and dedication, but Irene is a true asset to the hotel and a shining example of outstanding customer service. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay and are already looking forward to returning on our next visit to Paris. We highly recommend Hotel Des Grands Voyageurs to anyone seeking a luxurious, welcoming, and authentic Parisian experience.

A lovely little oasis in Paris. Our room was cute, modern and charming, with a very comfortable bed and a distinctly French feel. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. The location was excellent — an easy walk to nearby Metro stations, with at least five restaurants within a couple of minutes. It’s also in a quieter part of Paris, which we really appreciated after busy days exploring the city. We’d happily stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel for six days and had a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent, making it easy to get around and explore the area. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout our stay. It is also a great choice for families traveling with children. We felt very comfortable staying here and enjoyed our time a lot. We would definitely come back and stay here again on our next visit.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The Hotel is very unique and has a lot of character which we enjoy when traveling. We found our room very clean, comfortable and cozy. The room service was lovely each day and we really appreciated coming back each day to everything being so fresh and clean. Loved our stay and would stay again! Thank you Hotel Aiglon!

1 night stop traveling from South of France to Rotterdam made our stay unforgettable ❤️ Friendly staff, chic of the old building however very well maintained and with modern amenities. Fresh bottled water still & with gas available in your room, coffee machine & excellent quality of the tea. Around the corner is best patisserie of year 2025 Paris!

A group a friends and I stayed here during la canicule (extreme heat). My room was comfortable and cool, and the bathroom was clean and bright. The staff was helpful and professional. The hotel gave each room two glass water bottles with ice cold water (to stay in the hotel), and we could refill them upon request. This was extremely welcome and helpful during these temperatures.

I’ve stayed at French Theory on a number of occasions and sadly, this may be my last. The hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance to several train lines. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the neighborhood and across from Jardin Luxembourg and around the corner from the Pantheon. The hotel has really strict check in policies and it seems like it depends on who is helping you at the front desk. Housekeeping knocked twice around 5pm, which seems like an odd time to be doing the rounds. The shower is tiny, the lighting insufficient. Keep in mind this is a no access street, so if you’re taking a car, it will have to meet you at either end of the street. Request a room facing the back of the building, due to neighborhood being centrally within several school, you’ll often hear students going to and from nearby cafes. I’ve stayed here three times, and each time there is construction. I’m not sure if it’s the adjacent buildings or the city but it seems like it’s always in construction. It’s great for a young couple or solo traveller. There is no fridge and not every room has a safe. There is an elevator and a coffee shop on the ground floor.

I stayed here for two nights and had a truly fantastic experience, largely thanks to the incredible team. From the moment I arrived, the staff were genuinely welcoming and went out of their way to make me feel at home. The front desk lady greeted me with a warm, radiant smile that was the absolute perfect way to start each day, and the evening crew was just as friendly, attentive, and helpful with everything I needed. The hotel boasts an excellent location and serves great coffee, but it’s the outstanding hospitality that really sets it apart. A quick note on the layout: The rooms are on the compact side with tiny bathrooms, making this an ideal choice for solo travelers. However, families or anyone who prioritizes spacious rooms and large bathrooms might find the quarters a bit too tight.

Stayed here for two nights and had a great experience. The location is excellent, the coffee was good, and the staff were genuinely welcoming. The front desk lady’s warm smile was a lovely way to start each day, and the evening staff were just as friendly and helpful. The rooms are compact, so it’s a great choice for solo travelers. However, families or anyone who prefers spacious rooms and larger bathrooms may find it a bit too small.

French Theory was a great find, the location was quite during the night and lots to do in the area during the day. The hotel staff were all lovely, and incredibly accommodating. The room was great for the price, only thing is the doors are thin so you can hear what’s happening in the hallway but we had a really great stay! Thank you!

I really enjoyed my stay here! I was looking for a hotel with a central location and God allowed me to find this place! Gloria and all the staff were so polite and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean ( its a bit smaller than I imagined) but it was ok for my one night stay in Paris. I also loved the decor. I was able to walk to the Louve, the Jardin de Luxembourg, the Norte Dame and the Pantheon was like 5 mins away! The breakfast was delicious and service exceptional. I am so happy to have found this affordable place 1 week before my trip to Paris after searching for weeks for a perfect location! Highly recommend .

Very fine hotel, with a very helpful and kind staff. The room was rather small, but apeared to be recently renovated, and was kept impecably clean. Good location, near restaurants, metro and train. Only a 10 minutes walk from the Jardins de Luxembourg. Breakfast very good, with a large selection, with something for every taste. I fully recommend.

Lovely hotel in a great location. The decor was charming and the area was authentic- it had a very local vibe. The proximity to the Luxembourg gardens was a plus. I enjoyed grabbing a croissant, OJ and coffee and eating it in the gardens. The staff were helpful and happy! The room was small but probably standard for Parisian standards. The air conditioning worked well!! The room did not include a fridge which was a bit of a minus. There was a laundromat across the road and there was no shortage of restaurant options nearby. All in all an excellent hotel for a Parisian experience and I would stay here again.

This hotel has been amazing! The service is exceptional and the location is great. It was easy to access public transportation and get around anywhere from the hotel. It’s nice to grab a quick bite before exploring the city with the small but delicious breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel and would book again in a future trip.
Nicholas K★★★★★
A wonderful small hotel in a quiet location in Montparnasse. The rooms are, as always in Paris, small, but are well furnished and in immaculate condition. The bed was very large and comfortable and no noise was apparent to me from any adjoining room, which is rare indeed. Breakfast is extensive, there are even scrambled eggs. The immediate area has many great restaurants within easy walking distance; La Rotonde, Le Select and La Coupole, to mention a few. The nearest Metro, Vavin, is on a line that takes you directly to Gare du Nord.
Dinara Jufliyeva★★★★★
I had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel in Paris near Jardin du Luxembourg. The location was absolutely perfect! Very peaceful, beautiful, and just steps away from one of the most lovely parks in the city. It was the ideal place to enjoy morning walks and experience the true Parisian atmosphere. The hotel itself was warm, elegant, and very comfortable. The staff, especially Eugenia was incredibly sweet, kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile, even I annoyed her with so many questions. I truly felt at home here and would happily stay again on my next trip to Paris

Very nice, clean and accommodating. All the staff were very nice and helpful. Always available. I felt very safe at all times and the ac worked good. Easy location to walk around or for Ubers to find. When I’m back in Paris this will be my preferred place of stay.

The hotel staff were absolutely exceptional, extremely kind, helpful, and genuinely caring. Their professionalism and warmth made a real difference. A very special thank you to Romain Koudrine, who was truly a lifesaver. He went above and beyond to help me during a stressful situation, and I am incredibly grateful for his support, dedication, and kindness. The hotel is very fortunate to have someone like him on the team. Highly recommended!

Hotel is in a good location as it's close to Metro and attractions. Room was ready on time and very clean. Also very convenient. Hotel has an elevator and is air conditioned which was a big deal in the heatwave. Staff were excellent as was the hotel breakfast.
Kyle Thompson★★★★☆
The AC was noisy. Otherwise, the room was fairly good. We liked the shower. The bed was ok, but it was two twins under a queen cover so there was a seam down the middle. The hotel is very close to a metro station and travel about the city by metro was very easy. The light in the hallway was always off so the stairs were dark until we hit the switch. The service was very friendly.
Dana Smith★★★★★
We stayed one night here and found it very comfortable and clean. Great location - affordable and walkable to many sights in Paris, and close proximity to the Metro and amenities.

This is a mediocre hotel in a very convenient location. You can tell it has not been renovated in forever because of old stains on the walls, chipped bathtubs, etc. and while I was there they had water damage so breakfast was served in another hotel down the road and the elevator stopped working because of water in the shaft. The stairwell is the typical Parisian rounded-edges steep staircase that are very easy to trip on. It’s ok if you only need a place to sleep in a very convenient location, but if you’re looking for a cozy room look elsewhere. Not recommended if you have limited mobility or small kids with strollers.
Nicole Ross★★★☆☆
The front desk gentleman was absolutely awful. He was rude, dismissive and looked like all he wanted to do was sit and smoke in the doorway which made the whole hotel lobby stink. The AC was out in one room and day one he said he was getting someone to come look at it. He didnt, my kids were sweltering in the Paris summer heat. Finally after talking to him numerous times he changed our rooms, and of course he was rude about it and acted like it was such an inconvenience and that he was doing us a favor. What he seems to forget is that the guests pay his wage. The one person at the hotel who was good was the sweet breakfast lady, always smiling and kind. I hope the management sees this review because the gentleman at the front needs to be fired.

This Kind of hotel was really Bad. The only reason that we gonna took IT because of the metro and the price! You just need this small room for sleeping

I was able to book a stay here after an awful experience with an Airbnb, last minute and they were able to get me in as soon as 9am the next day! The front desk service were incredibly nice and polite, the room service was amazing and the best part was their A/C. Paris was going thru a heat wave at the time and this was a life saver here! And the location was prime, there were so many restaurants and cute locations, it was hard to leave this area to explore the rest of Paris. I would def recommend this place if your main goal is to have a place to sleep, shower and have A/C. Will most likely book again when I come back.

Great. I would come back next time Very clean, friendly staff and room is so so cute. The bathtub is huge. We were there during the heatwave so it was convenient for us to take breaks in between our short window to go out and come back in. The AC was AMAZING. We got some macaroons as welcoming amenities, it was a nice touch. We can also store our baggage before check in. Some things to keep in mind: they are currently in renovations so you're just going to be in and out while they do constructions, that might bother some people. The elevator is tiny so do be mindful that it cannot accommodate everyone, the staircase is also a little narrow. I have had 0 problem, this is actually the best hotel we stayed at that I loved throughout our Europe trip, up par with the 5 stars we've stayed at. It is so good for being a 4 star hotel. Location is also great. I definitely prefer to stay here than to be near the other bigger attractions. Everything was great. Although wifi was pretty slow
Deepa Venkatraman★★★★★
Had a lovely stay at Hotel Le Lapin Blanc in Paris. The staff were incredibly sweet and welcoming, and the rooms were very nice. We specifically wanted a king bed, which can sometimes be hard to find in Europe, so that was a big plus for us. A couple things to note for future travelers: the bathroom isn’t fully separate and has a glass partition setup, so if you’re traveling with friends or people you’re not super comfortable with, just be aware of that. There is a lift in the hotel, but it’s tiny, so you may need to make multiple trips with luggage. That said, the location is fantastic. It’s right near Notre-Dame, centrally located, and very close to the metro. The area felt safe, lively, and full of great cafés, so we never missed having room service. Would definitely recommend staying here if you want a charming hotel in a great part of Paris. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

(JULY 2026) The lobby is undergoing major renovation and my room was right above it BUT heard absolutely NO noise. The team provided appeasement due to breakfast and other lobby amenities not being available (I don’t really care since I am out and about all day!) Despite facing the busy street, I slept very well through the night. 😴 The front desk staff was great, from check in to special requests like using the freezer for French Butter 🧈 🚌 Bus stop is only several steps away, and metro is only a 5-min walk! 🥐 Lots of restaurants, cafes and shopping nearby! The room itself has PLENTY of room for my three luggages and the team will provide additional hangers + iron if needed. Love the welcome amenity. The coffee was delicious! 🤤 I used the extra large bath tub before my flight out to decompress and be sad that I was leaving Paris. I can’t wait to come back and stay here again! It’s close to NotreDame, Saint Chapel, and Louvre. (Tales from a frequent traveler in the US. I would compare this to an Autograph Collection 🌟)
Eulàlia Buchaca★☆☆☆☆
Very disappointed for the full price we pay. To my surprise, when we arrived at the hotel, we found that the entire reception area, lobby, and breakfast/bar area were under major renovation. At no point before my stay was I informed that the hotel was undergoing such extensive construction work. Throughout our whole 6 days stay, there were constantly construction workers in the common areas, and there was dust everywhere due to the renovations. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was because I needed a quiet place where I could also work from my room. Unfortunately, that was impossible. The noise from the construction was continuous, including marble cutting, heavy machinery, and other renovation work taking place throughout the day. I was also unable to enjoy any of the hotel’s common areas, as they were essentially unusable because of the renovations. On our departure day, our flight was in the evening, and after checking out at 11:00 a.m., I had planned to work from the hotel’s reception area until it was time to leave for the airport. Once again, this was not possible because the reception and lobby were still under construction. I completely understand that renovations are sometimes necessary. However, I believe guests should be clearly informed before booking when the hotel’s main facilities are unavailable and when the level of noise is significant enough to impact their stay. At the very least, the room rates should reflect the reduced experience and limited facilities being offered… Unfortunately the experience fell far below what was advertised and what I expected from this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was excellent and made it easy to explore the city. The staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly, and accommodating throughout our visit. Our room on the 5th floor (Room 54) had a lovely city view, and the bed and linens were very comfortable. A special touch that we appreciated was the daily macaroons left in our room. On our first day, I wasn’t feeling well and asked where I could buy some tea. Within minutes, the staff brought an electric tea kettle and tea bags directly to my room. This thoughtful gesture truly exceeded my expectations and made me feel well cared for. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so comfortable and memorable. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Aramis and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, and their genuine warmth made us feel very comfortable throughout our stay. It’s the kind of service that really makes a difference when you’re travelling. The hotel itself has a wonderful Parisian character and atmosphere, while still providing everything you need for a comfortable stay. Our room was clean, comfortable and well presented, and the location is absolutely fantastic. We found it incredibly convenient for exploring Paris, with plenty of cafés, restaurants, shops and public transport options close by. What really stood out to us, though, was the overall feeling of the hotel. It has a lovely, personal atmosphere that you simply don’t get from larger chain hotels. After a busy day exploring Paris, it was a pleasure to come back. We would happily stay at Hotel Aramis again and would have no hesitation recommending it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located hotel with genuinely excellent service. Thank you to all the team for helping make our time in Paris so enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!

The Superior room on the 5th floor was very comfortable for my husband and I. The queen-sized bed was very comfortable, and there was ample space for us in the room. The bathroom was very nice and a comfortable size as well. The balcony was lovely and we enjoyed many nice moments out there enjoying snacks and drinks and listening to a neighboring resident play his guitar. The location was excellent and dirctly across the street from St.Placide Metro stop and just a few blocks from Rennes Metro stop. There are many eating establishments in the neighborhood as well as a pharmacy. We had breakfast one moring at the hotel and it was delightful. The only real negative was a very compact elevator - but it did have one so who can complain! Highly recommend this hotel with very friendly and helpful front desk staff!

We stayed recently for a full week during the heatwave of Paris. The staff was very professional and friendly every day. Our room was neat and we had everything we needed. The AC was most refreshing each day after seeing the Paris sights. We would love to stay here again in the future. Location was right in the middle of 3 brasseries, all very good, right next to 2 metro stops, and lots of shops nearby. A great place to stay if you find yourself in Paris.

The staff were wonderful! They provided excellent recommendations and helped us with the transition to european charging for our devices. The room was smaller than what we are used to in North America but we quickly adjusted. The bed was very comfortable!

Stayed here for 4 nights. Hotel is in a great location with metro, restaurants and bakeries nearby. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only downside for us was the rooms were small and the showers were pretty poor. However saying that we would definitely stay here again

My daughter and I spent two nights here in April and absolutely loved it. A beautiful, small, clean hotel with very helpful and friendly staff, in an ideal location. It's a block or two from the more touristy area, on a quiet square, but easy walking distance to all of the major sites of the historic district. A block from the nicest park in Paris, Jardin du Luxembourg. Close to metro and train lines for easy access to/from CDG Airport. Can't recommend it highly enough!

The Hotel Relais Medici is incredibly well located. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The rooms are spacious, and comfortable. We booked two rooms since we were traveling as a family and Laurent made sure these were right across from each other and with garden views. The rooms were quiet, had zero street noise, and good lighting. They were accessible via a small elevator, had great AC, a small table with two chairs, mini bar, etc. Their breakfast is yummy and convenient. We will stay again here next time we are in Paris.

This was the best service I have ever experienced in Paris! It was such a lovely stay. I learned it is a family owned business, which must be why we were treated so kindly. Breakfast was lovely too, with beautiful presentation. Would highly recommend!

We are regular customers in this lovely boutique hotel for several years and would never stay anywhere else in Paris. It's in a great location, very quiet, clean and comfortable. Most of all Laurent and his team are very kind and helpful and always make our stay special. Chanel the cat is wonderful - she sits on our laps and purrs - see photo! - and is very friendly and gentle. Looking forward to our next visit - already booked!

Newly renovated spa t/i sauna, ice bath, relaxing pool, massage (by appointment) Excellent service, breakfast by request, pharmacy and small grocery nearby with a beautiful spacious park a 3 minute walk. Shopping and eateries are literally right out the door. Kitchen and washing machine were very valuable to accommodate some meals in and for a longer stay the washing machine was very useful. Hotel staff are extremely courteous and helpful. Thank you so much Prince Regent for the hospitality.

We stayed at Résidence & Spa Le Prince Régent as a family of six, including a child who uses a wheelchair, and unfortunately our experience fell far below expectations for a property at this price point. During our stay and departure, the hotel entrance was obstructed by ongoing work, making access and loading luggage significantly more difficult. For families traveling with children and guests with mobility needs, this created additional challenges. The most serious issue occurred while we were departing for the airport. While loading our vehicle directly outside the hotel, an aggressive confrontation developed with individuals on the street. Our children were present, including our wheelchair-using daughter. I began recording because I felt unsafe. The situation escalated so we could protect our family and I was spat upon, and after we left, one of the individuals followed our vehicle and confronted us again. Hotel staff witnessed portions of the incident and attempted to intervene. While I understand the hotel cannot control the actions of people, I was extremely disappointed by management’s response afterward since this incident happened while packing our vehicle directly in front of the hotel. Rather than providing an incident report, identifying witnesses, confirming preservation of security footage, or demonstrating any meaningful concern for guest safety, we were simply dismissed and advised to contact the police. In addition, the room itself showed noticeable wear, damage, stains, scratched furnishings, a foul smell and maintenance issues that did not reflect the premium nightly rate. Unfortunately, this hotel’s handling of a serious guest safety concern left us feeling unsupported at a time when we expected professionalism and assistance. For a property charging luxury-level rates, I expected a much higher standard of guest care, accessibility, maintenance, and post-incident response.

Perfect location and wonderful apartment-hotel for a family vacation. We wanted a kitchen for our stay - it had everything we needed. On a quiet street with many restaurants, bakeries, laundromat, small grocery store, and pharmacy. Rooms were spacious for being in the heart of the city. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

Wonderful experience for our family of 6! We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and it was huge, clean, new and included a full size kitchen and washer/dryer. They cleaned our apt every day as well. The staff was very friendly and this was a perfect experience for someone wanting more room and a step up from an Airbnb! We will return!

The 2 bedroom apartment was a great stay for our family. Rooms are clean, updated, spacious. Washer and kitchen were a big plus. Location is perfect, next to Luxembourg gardens and many great restaurants. Grocery store and metro stop nearby were very helpful.

Tips for a Stress-Free Family Stay near Jardin du Luxembourg

Choosing the right hotel is only half the battle; how you navigate the neighborhood can make your stay significantly smoother. The area around the Luxembourg Gardens is generally very safe and walkable, but a little local knowledge goes a long way when you have children in tow. Here are some practical strategies to help you maximize your time and minimize friction during your stay.

1. Book a "Garden View" or High Floor for Nap Time
If your child still naps during the day, request a room on a high floor or one that faces an interior courtyard. While a view of the park is stunning, the sounds of street sweepers in the early morning or late-night revelers from nearby bars can disturb light sleepers. Interior courtyard rooms in Parisian hotels are often remarkably silent, ensuring everyone gets the rest they need.

2. Use the Luxembourg Garden Facilities Strategically
The garden has excellent public restrooms, but they often have lines during peak hours and require a small coin or are monitored by attendants. Additionally, there are designated lawn areas where sitting is allowed, but many grassy sections are strictly for looking, not touching. Head to the southwest corner of the park near the orchard or the designated "pelouses autorisées" if your kids need to burn off energy on the grass.

3. Skip the Hotel Breakfast Occasionally
While convenient, hotel breakfasts in this district can be expensive for a family, often costing €20-€30 per person. Instead, embrace the Parisian way and walk to a nearby boulangerie. Grab fresh croissants, pain au chocolat, and orange juice, then eat them on one of the iconic green chairs surrounding the pond in the garden. It is cheaper, more atmospheric, and keeps kids entertained while they eat.

4. Leverage the RER B for Airport Transfers
The Luxembourg RER station is a direct line to both Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly (via connection). However, this station has many stairs and limited elevator access. If you are arriving with heavy luggage and a stroller, consider booking a private car service or taxi from the airport to the hotel. Once settled, you can use the train for lighter excursions to save money.

5. Visit the Playgrounds Early or Late
The main playground (Ludo Jardin) has a small entry fee, but the free playgrounds on the west side of the park can get crowded with local schoolchildren in the afternoon. For a calmer experience with toddlers, aim to visit between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM or after 4:30 PM when the school groups have gone home. This allows younger children to enjoy the slides and swings safely without being overwhelmed.

Staying near the Jardin du Luxembourg offers a glimpse into the daily life of Parisian families, which is a rare gift for travelers. It allows you to step away from the checklist of monuments and simply enjoy the rhythm of the city. Watching your children interact with local kids at the carousel or chase pigeons along the gravel paths often becomes the most treasured memory of the trip, surpassing even the Louvre or the Eiffel Tower.

By choosing a hotel that understands the nuances of family travel, you set the stage for a vacation that feels less like a logistical marathon and more like a genuine retreat. With the right home base, Paris transforms from an overwhelming metropolis into a walkable, welcoming village where your family can thrive.
