12 Budget-Friendly Hotels near the Sacré-Cœur Basilica

Montmartre is one of the most atmospheric neighborhoods in Paris, but its charm often comes with a steep price tag. The narrow, cobbled streets and sweeping views from the Sacré-Cœur Basilica attract millions of visitors each year, making accommodation in the immediate vicinity notoriously expensive. However, staying near this iconic landmark does not have to drain your travel budget.

With a little insider knowledge, you can find comfortable, characterful hotels that keep you within walking distance of the Butte without sacrificing financial peace of mind. The key is knowing which streets to explore and which properties offer genuine value rather than just a bed. Many affordable options sit just a short downhill stroll from the basilica, where prices drop but the neighborhood feel remains intact.

This guide focuses on practical, well-reviewed hotels that balance cost, comfort, and location. You will not find luxury spas or Michelin-starred dining here, but you will discover clean rooms, friendly service, and that unmistakable Montmartre atmosphere. Whether you are a solo traveler, a couple, or a small family, there is a budget-friendly option that suits your pace.

We have evaluated properties based on real guest feedback, proximity to public transport, and overall value for money. Each recommendation sits within roughly fifteen minutes’ walk of the Sacré-Cœur, often less. Some are tucked behind the bustling Place du Tertre, while others line the quieter residential streets that locals prefer.

Keep in mind that “budget-friendly” in Paris typically means under €130 per night for a double room, depending on the season. Rates fluctuate significantly during spring and summer, so booking early remains the smartest way to lock in a fair price. Weekday stays also tend to cost less than weekends.

Many of these hotels occupy classic Haussmann or village-style buildings, meaning rooms can be compact and elevators rare. That is part of the authentic Parisian experience, and the savings often justify the stairs. Pack light, embrace the quirks, and you will feel like a local rather than a tourist.

Below, you will find a curated selection of twelve budget-friendly hotels near the Sacré-Cœur Basilica. Each entry includes practical details about location, atmosphere, and what makes it stand out from the crowd.

This hotel was perfect. Amazing value for your money. Camilla was so helpful. The rooms are small but updated and clean. The AC worked perfectly. The area looked a little iffy but we felt safe the entire time. Very close to a train station, so great location. I would recommend including the breakfast as it has everything you need and is a great value.

Very good value hotel. The room was clean and well kept, and it was a relief to have air con in the heatwave, although it wasn't very powerful. The staff were helpful. We didn't have breakfast as it felt quite expensive at €13 per person for continental. However due to the excellent location of the hotel, it was easy to find lots of local restaurants.
Kate Hindley★★★★☆
Lovely hotel. Excellent location near Sacre Coeur and Gare du Nord. Staff are really helpful and welcoming. Rooms were clean and comfortable, bathrooms were clean and modern. Wifi worked well. The only thing missing to make it a 5 star review ... breakfast was good but not amazing and the breakfast room is quite cramped. But I would definitely stay here again!
Cassandra King★★★★★
Lovely staff and really well-kept hotel. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It also had air-conditioning and was sound-proof (perfect for a heatwave in a loud city). Great location, right next to an Aldi supermarket - not to mention the Sacré-Cœur was right outside our window! Thanks for having us, we will be back.

The hotel advertised having air conditioning. It does not work at all. My room has stayed between 33 and 36 degrees. It is hotter inside than outside in the canicule. Even the housekeeper who tried to help me with the air conditioner was shocked. The reception did not help and would not switch rooms. No support has been offered. I requested even a fan and they have not delivered

The hotel has a very good location if you're exploring Montmartre. Nice cafes, bakeries are just around the corner. There is also a metro station nearby. Rooms are a lot nicer than in the pictures. The only thing I'd mention is that the walls are quite thin, so you can hear people talking in the other room. Well, that's Paris though.. just take your earplugs in case it'd bother you. I'd come back to this hotel again.

Firstly they canceled my booking because of their mistake of sending verification link on wrong email address. Then I had to rebook it for a higher rate. The staff was not welcoming or helpful. When I needed towels they told me to come down and collect it myself. Also I had an early morning flight so I informed the staff that I may need to checkout early around 5. They told me to tell them exact time. They did not even give any water and did not have any water fountain or something. They asked me to buy from the market. I was tired and exhausted and had to go and grab it. The cleanliness was bad, the towels in the room were with blood stains. Room was not clean
Springwater★★★☆☆
Well rooms are very small and walls are thin. Building must be very old but if you need a place to sleep in than this hotel is OK with its affordable proce, location and 7/24 someone at reception and they can speak very good English.

I was very pleased with my choice of hotel. It exceeded my expectations. The room was more than adequate and I found it to be clean. It was February but I was not troubled by noise. Everything worked well. I am 69 and the walk from Saint Lazare was fine. This hotel will be my first choice in future. The buffet breakfast was limited in choice but again, more than adequate. Staff at breakfast and reception were pleasant, efficient and helpful.

Had stayed previously in the sister hotel across the road, loved the area and wanted to stay again, but it was closed for refurbishment. They suggested the Saint George Lafayette and we stayed there. Very clean, helpful front desk staff, location is excellent for exploring the 9th and 18th. Great selection of restaurants and bars nearby.

Thankyou Hacene, you and your staff were so friendly and helpfull Our room was compact but spotlessly clean. We only stayed two nights but our room was serviced and left beautiful for 2nd night. We appreciated your hospitality, close to 95 bus *you need to buy a ticket before you can travel around from a main station or online. (Gard du nord) or similar. Merci
Ron Jackson★★★☆☆
A nice enough hotel. Small rooms but it done the job. No air con which wouldn't have been an issue if it wasnt 35 degrees. The hotel did provide fans and we could open the windows. Breakfast was fine. Overal, a nice enough stay.
Pippa Russell★★★★☆
The room was comfortable although the bathroom part being open and the toilet unlockable makes it unsuitable for sharing the room with someone you aren't intimate with. The room was small but sufficient, if you intend it only as a sleep stop, then it works. Sound wise it wasn't the best but could have been far worse (some noisy pipes, a snoring neighbour, the occasional siren). The breakfast was excellent and fresh ( we were there for 7:50 for a start at 7:00) although the breakfast room was very cramped, and the news channel on the tv could have maybe been avoided (not great to hear about wars while sipping coffee on a relaxing getaway). The staff were helpful, welcoming and clear (French was not the first language of some staff but that didn't mean they weren't professional). Overall, a convenient and qualitative address with good value.
Clocke★☆☆☆☆
We booked this hotel as part of a package for a cruise, the photos shown were nothing like the hotel room we got. Luckily we missed the heatwave in Paris as the room just had a crappie old fan. The elevator to the first floor was out as well. Not impressed at all, but the staff were very nice.
Ognjen★★★★★
Everything was good, the host and receptionist was really friendly. We checked in around 23:00h. Rooms are nice and spacious, cleaned every day. You have a towels, bathing accessories... Only WC was a bit strange, because of rolling doors. Good connection to city center, area was safe at day and night. You can walk easy to Monmarte attractions. In conclusion we would probably stay here again.

Iconic place…. Iconic bar. Amazing value for money. There is a bar under… adds to the charm. This area is a busy area so naturally will be some noise… stay outside of Paris if you are looking for a quiet retreat
Anna Konovalenko★★★★★
Great hotel and easy to find. We got greated by a very welcoming reception host and by the chance of opportunity received an upgrade for our room. Apparently, this is the hotel wehere Edith Piaf used to stay! (Not sure whether that is true but it added up to the experience) The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom is a bit quirky, but nothing too tragic. Even though we stayed only two nights and our room was cleaned and towels were changed. Also, you are welcome to help yourself to some teas and coffees downstairs. The price is more than affordable for such great location in the heart of Montmartre. Walking distance to the public transport and all the sightseeing spots in the area. There were a lot of complains in the reviews about the additional room tax, however we paid exactly the amount that was stated on booking.com from the start. It might be confusing though, because you pay 70% upfront during the booking and then have to pay the rest 30% at the check-in, but the total amount was the same from the start. In general, very decent place to stay. It is not some luxury apartment hotel but it has history and character. Also, the hotel has an avant-garde bar downstairs with affordable drinks and great energy.
Manos Anastasopoulos★★★★☆
The hotel is in the best neighborhood in Monmartre. Easy to find and very close to metro. The room is very basic but if you are out all day its ok for a sleep. Very warm, beds smaĺl but comfortable. Rayane, the man at the reception, is very helpful and polite.
Araceli Suárez Pacheco★☆☆☆☆
I would not stay here again. There is an extremely noisy bar practically inside the building, with loud music until very late at night, making it almost impossible to sleep. On top of that, they charge fraudulent tourist taxes and justify it by claiming they are “unclassified” as a tourism business, which is simply not true. The cleanliness is very basic, definitely below what you’d expect. And they even charge an extra fee just for checking in after 20:00, which feels completely unreasonable. Overall, not worth the price and definitely not the experience advertised.
Vika Prokopiv★★★★★
The hotel is located in a good neighbourhood. Man at the front desk is very welcoming and friendly. The hotel has a cozy pub downstairs where you can help yourself to a drink. Overall, the hotel is basic, but definitely worth what we paid. I noticed that many of the negative reviews mentioned unexpected taxes and additional fees at the hotel. However, when you book online you only pay about 70% of the total cost upfront - the remaining balance, including taxes and fees, is paid at the hotel

Fantastic location! Turn left or right - it didn’t matter there’s so many different places to eat , drink & enjoy people watching on the pavement tables everywhere. Next street has the bus stop for #80 that takes you straight into all the city centre sights for €2. Or stop for a coffee at any corner bistro before you tackle the stairs up to Sacre Coeur. Our room & shower was immaculate & Bed was comfortable. Staff were super friendly and accommodating- the heating was off since it’s mid May and we were quite chilly & staff provided us with a small heater no problem. Highly recommended as a great base to explore. You can spot glimpses of the Sacre Coeur between the buildings as you walk along Rue Ramey. The hotel doesn’t have a lift and very narrow winding stairs - so if that’s an issue for you I’d suggest contacting them in advance for a low room. I have seen some people putting negative reviews here- they maybe should have booked into the boutique + €400 a night places instead of an authentic old Parisian hotel. The wee ginger cat padding around gave the hotel something special. Montmartre is so different from the Seine area. Absolutely stunning place and we enjoyed the slower pace of living and exploring here.
Christoph Franz★★★★★
The rooms were small but that was no problem. We booked an room with an shared bath but in our room there was an small bath too. The service was incredible. All really nice and the cat was cute. With the bus and metro stations right there it was easy to get to the Louvre Eiffel Tower and Disneyland.
Anastasiia Pavlova★☆☆☆☆
The location is generally good and convenient for exploring Paris if you stay on the right streets. However, if you accidentally turn toward Barbès metro station, the area quickly feels like a ghetto and becomes very uncomfortable and unsafe even during the daytime. The room absolutely did not match the photos. At first, we were given an extremely dark room with a view of a rundown inner courtyard. After we asked to change rooms, we received a slightly better and brighter one facing the street, but there were still many issues. The room itself was only acceptable at best — still very different from the pictures, worn out, and with no kettle, no fridge, and basically no amenities at all. The bathroom, however, was a complete nightmare. It smelled strongly of sewage, looked nothing like the photos, was extremely small and dirty, with mold everywhere. The shower cabin was so tiny that it was almost impossible to wash your hair properly. There were also leftover hairs from previous guests. On top of that, whenever someone in the building used water, there were incredibly loud noises in the room, as if a pipe had burst. Overall, for this price you can definitely find much better accommodation in Paris. We would not stay at this hotel again.
Sam Husband★★★★★
Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 2 nights, was really impressed with the hotel, really friendly staff, good security too, handing the keys in everytime we leave felt good knowing they are always safe. We also loved the room too, lovely and clean, comfortable bed, great view of the street and there’s loads of good places nearby to eat and drink, as well as the Sacre Cœur only 2 or 3 minute walk away. There cat is also very cute 😸
Florence Madrid★★★★★
Our stay at Hotel Juliette in Paris was absolutely delightful from the moment we arrived. Even though we checked in late due to our late arrival in Paris, we were warmly welcomed by the receptionist and Romeo the adorable resident cat. The check-in process was smooth and accommodating, and we were quickly given our room keys. The room itself was impressively spacious, especially for three people, which made our stay very comfortable. One of the standout features was the incredible view. It truly added something special to our Paris experience. The beds were another highlight. They were soft, warm, and extremely comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long busy day. The hotel’s location is also fantastic, situated very close to Montmartre, making it easy to explore one of Paris’s most charming and artistic neighbourhoods. Overall, Hotel Juliette offers a warm, comfortable, and conveniently located stay, with thoughtful touches that make it memorable. We would definitely stay here again!

The rooms are neat and tidy. The staff cleans them and changes the towels daily. We had a fan in our room, which was such a blessing. There's only one toilet and one shower per floor but it wasn't a problem, there usually weren't any queues. It was not loud in the hotel at all, I never heard other guests talking in the other rooms. The receptionist was very nice. The hotel is close to the metro. And the prices were really good. This hotel is a great option for people who want to save money or are not staying for a long time
Lena Dobbels★☆☆☆☆
DON’T BOOK HERE I have stayed at many low budget places so my ‘tolerance’ for budget/basic amenities are high. However, this place is filthy and below all standards. It already starts in the hallway, which looks like it’s straight out from a horror movie. In the room, you can hear the conversations word for word in the rooms next to you. Every time someone turns on the faucet it sounds like a hurricane in the walls. There was mold all over the bathroom and bugs in the room. I woke up with tiny bites all over my body from god knows what. I packed my bags and left the hotel at 7am and booked a stay elsewhere. I recommend everyone to book somewhere else. Don’t believe the pictures and don’t believe other reviews saying ‘it’s okay’. It is not.
Henrik Overballe★★★★★
Some of these reviews are ridiculous! This is a 1-star hotel in the northern part of inner Paris. No, there is not an elevator, no there is not a minibar, no there is not eggs and bacon in the 10 EUR breakfast buffet, and yes the entrance has a quite “distinct” odour as you start walking up the narrow, steep stairs. The rooms are the size and in the shape of what I would expect from a 1-star hotel, the pictures are taken with a wide-angle lens and you can hear what the neighbours are talking about. That being said, it is very close to Montmatre and you have a plethora of small, cozy cafes and brasseries, most of them with vegan offerings! This is exactly what a 1-star hotel looks like at this price range. The staff is nice and smiling, and very welcoming. Thank you for a good stay!
Thomas Blunden★☆☆☆☆
DO NOT GO HERE. The only good thing i can say about this place was that the staff were nice. You have to climb steep rotated stairs with your heavy luggage, shared bathrooms are nasty and you have to pay extra for a room with a private bathroom which is tiny and has no where to hold any items or even hang towels up, bugs were crawling on the walls and the floor and i woke up with bites from god knows what on a bed that felt like cardboard.
Lucius★☆☆☆☆
Someone was trying to break into my room while we were asleep. They were yelling open the door, once I called the police they stopped. Reception is not answering the phone calls for few hours already. Police didn't arrive for oven an hour and told me to stop calling them since the door was locked it was not an emergency. The fact that my wife was scared for her life, didn't change anything. Terrible dangerous place. Do Not Book Here!

We loved every minute of our stay at Hotel George. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout! The location is fantastic and they kindly leave waters, soft drinks, juice, ample tea and coffee in the room daily. The downstairs pastry, sweet treats and snacks station is such a lovely touch and something that really sets them apart from other hotels. It’s a short trip to Montmartre and other great spots in Paris. No ask is too big or too small for the reception team and the room was cleaned beautifully each day. The decor around the hotel is also fun and chic.
Leia Brewer★★★★☆
My family and I were very happy with our stay at this hotel. The staff were pleasant and friendly and the rooms were exactly as expected. The provided snacks in the lobby were not of the highest quality but still very much appreciated. The mini bar was stocked daily with one Pepsi, one juice, one sparkling water and two still waters. The location was excellent, with easy access to the metro and Montmarte and a nice view onto a very Parisian street!
Michael Sobsey★★★★★
It depends on a person’s tastes and preferences, but for a person like me who loves the energy of the Parisian people and their invaluable contributions in art, poetry, and philosophy, etc. and who wishes to join them in pursuit of Le Bonheur — in brief —I found my hotel. The hotel has assembled the coolest, nicest, most helpful and professional staff one could ever hope to encounter. Shout out to Sonia, Paul, Winston, and to Cee Cee who makes up the rooms. The rooms are well appointed: a safe, an excellent television, a little refrigerator stocked with cold water, and drinks, a comfortable bed, reading lights positioned at the head of the bed, a good shower, very good adjustable air conditioning, tall casement windows that open on to the animated streets below, and which when closed are virtually soundproof. It isn’t meant to be luxurious but practical & well considered, and eco-conscious . Situated near Rue du Martyrs, and close to the Metro to everywhere. From the hotel it is just a short hike uphill to Montmartre & Sacré Coeur. Everywhere you turn: cafes, bistros, farm-to-table markets. I could also feel the intangible presence of the great artists who the quartier inspired & nourished. I seemed to sense the soul of the workers who built this city over the centuries. As I said, it is a matter of one’s preferences, if you are the type of person who only travels in first class, or who expects to be pampered, you might find the hotel on the casual side, but for me, laid back and appreciative of any service rendered, the Hotel George, where I have so far had the pleasure of staying three times, checks all the boxes. More Date of stay: July 2026

Very well located hotel, close to metro lines 12 and 2, close to pigalle and a lot of restaurants, bars and shops around. The reception staff is wonderful, welcoming and kind. Having stayed here several times my only comments would be that while in general the rooms are spacious for Paris, each room varies significantly in size. But always clean, functional, comfortable and including an alcohol-free mini-frige. Breakfast is decent with exception of the eggs which are either too wet, too dry, or cold.
V vendetta★★★★★
Cool hotel with an excellent concept. You get a free minibar as well as snacks in the lobby. Also you can visit the lobby and their offering in other hotels of the chain which is excellent to explore paris. Rooms are small but good.

Good hotel. Just a few mins from Pigalle and Blanche metros so you can go anywhere from here. Lots of boulangeries and super markets nearby as well. The rooms were a bit smaller than expected but that's just Paris in general. I definitely recommend this place for the price point it's at. The rooms were clean and the service was good

Good value for money. We had a couple issues with a malfunctioning safe and a TV remote that didn’t work but other than that, we enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful where they could help. Great location, too, especially if you don’t necessarily need to stay in Le Marais. Quick métro ride away from Gare du Nord and easy to access Montmartre, Opéra, St Lazare, and the rest of the 9th.

Bryan Avery★★★★★
A stylish, characterful room with a wonderfully Parisian feel. Comfortable, clean and full of charm - the perfect base for exploring Montmartre. Our room at Hotel Du Beaumont perfectly matched the character of Montmartre. Rather than feeling like another generic hotel room, it had its own personality. The décor is bold and theatrical, with deep burgundy walls, rich fabrics and beautiful wallpaper featuring peacocks and botanical designs. It feels cosy, intimate and a little bit decadent - very much in keeping with the nearby Moulin Rouge. The lighting is deliberately soft, creating a warm atmosphere in the evening, although it does make the room feel quite dark during the day. The bed was comfortable, with crisp white bedding that contrasted nicely against the darker colours of the room, and we both slept well after a long day exploring Paris. Although the room isn’t particularly large, the space has been used well, with hanging storage, a desk area and enough room for a short city break. The bathroom continued the boutique feel, with black tiles and decorative feature panels giving it a stylish look. The shower had good pressure, there was plenty of hot water, and everything was clean and well maintained. One of the nicest touches was how individual the room felt. It doesn’t have the clinical feel of a chain hotel - instead it has charm, character and a distinctly Parisian atmosphere. The only slight downside is that, because of the dark décor and lighting, the room can feel a little enclosed, and if you’re someone who prefers bright, airy spaces, it may not be to your taste. Storage is also fairly limited if you’re staying for more than a few nights. Overall though, we really enjoyed our stay. If you’re looking for a boutique hotel with plenty of personality in a fantastic location just moments from the Moulin Rouge and the cafés of Montmartre, Hotel Du Beaumont is a lovely choice.

The room stinks with strong BO, we tried to air it out and it was no use. The reception said it was full and couldnt change a room for us. The shower tap was broken. The water was boiling hot, i was covered in shampoo and tried to turn the tap and make the water cooler for 15min and nothing happened. I tried to turn it off and turned it on again and did everything i can. The location is excellent and reception is friendly.

AC issues and a city tax billing error at check-out Two issues to flag from our stay at Hôtel du Beaumont. First, the air conditioning in our room was insufficient for the conditions — it did not adequately cool the room during our stay. Second, and more significant: we paid the city tax at check-in, which is standard practice at most hotels in France. At check-out, the front desk was unable to locate the record of this payment and attempted to charge it a second time. We provided the credit card statement showing the transaction, including the hotel’s name and the exact amount charged. Despite this documentation, staff continued to insist on a second payment, stating this was due to an internal error in their records. Resolving the issue required contacting family members in Mexico at 3am local time to retrieve an additional transaction record. During this process, the receptionist on duty stated he could not contact the colleague who had processed the original payment, as that colleague was likely asleep. This is not an emotional review, but an objective one.

Very nice hotel, lovely area, quiet room at night, staff very friendly, clean and perfect for a short break

I booked and payed for a Superior Room but I am certain we got a Standard as it was small and not as nice as shown in the pictures (also next to the elevator). The water in the shower was boiling hot and it was nearly impossible to adjust it. The aircon switched to heating mode in the middle of the night - resulting in over 28 degrees and both me an my friend waking up covered in sweat. Additonally, we asked for 1 hour later check out - first person told us he will check with the cleaning lady. Did not happen and the next person approved the request but only after paying EUR 20.-. The only nice thing is the location. Would not recommend.

Loved the hotel, and it was honestly the friendliest service I have every received in Paris. Stela was kind, warm and welcoming with her smile and conversation. She was lovely enough to let us check-in early because the room was ready. And remembered us each day. Best hotel experience I've had in Paris, where it's usually quite impersonal
Liam Young★★★★★
Very helpful service, fans left on in the rooms prior to our arrival. The room was very pleasant, good sized and clean but a bit dated decor. Room 66 had views over the rooftops and felt okay overnight in the high 20s low 30s heat even without the fans running.

Wonderful stay with exceptional service Me and my friend Nadia stayed at Hôtel Eden Montmartre during our trip to Paris, and we had a truly lovely experience. The hotel is charming, clean, and perfectly located calm, comfortable, and ideal for exploring the city. Our room was beautiful and cozy, and everything felt well taken care of. What truly made our stay special, though, was Stella. She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and personally ensured that we got the best room possible. Her kindness, professionalism, and warm attitude made us feel genuinely welcomed. You can tell she truly cares about the guests. If you stay at this hotel, ask for Stella she is absolutely the best and makes all the difference. We would 100% stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
Erica★☆☆☆☆
DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Absolutely terrible customer service and one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I have ever had. I booked a 7-night stay and realized almost immediately—within about five minutes—that the reservation had been processed as non-refundable. I contacted the hotel right away, five months before the check-in date, but they refused to help at all. What makes this even more ridiculous is that the hotel advertises “FREE cancellation up to D-1” on its own website. Only after I repeated complained did they claim that reservations longer than six nights are automatically non-refundable. This important restriction was never disclosed in the hotel’s advertised cancellation policy. The hotel's attitude throughout the entire cancellation process was dismissive, rude and completely lacking in basic customer care. During one phone call, the staff even hung up on me. I also formally asked the hotel to provide the name and contact details of its designated consumer mediator. Instead of answering the question, they sent me a generic French government webpage that did not identify their actual mediator. I have dealt with many hotels and travel companies, but I have never been treated this badly by anyone in the hotel industry. The way this hotel handled a cancellation request made within five minutes—months before the stay—was unbelievably unreasonable. To be clear, I did not stay at the property. This review is specifically about my genuine booking, cancellation and customer-service experience. Based on that experience, I would never book with Hôtel Eden Montmartre again. For anyone looking to book this hotel, be extremely careful and take screenshots of every cancellation condition before paying, and do not book unless you are prepared to lose your entire payment!!!

A lovely, welcoming hotel. Particularly appreciated the hospitality and professionalism of the owner. The hotel is a little on the small side, true, but that’s Paris, what do you expect? Had a great stay here as part of a work trip. Will definitely stay here again next time I’m in Paris.

We spent a night at the Boronali and it was fantastic. We wanted a comfortable hotel in a good location and it delivered on both counts. We had a superior room, which didn’t cost much more than the standard rooms, and it was large, clean and had Juliet balconies with great views in the bedroom and the huge bathroom. It looks like the establishment has had a recent refurbishment. The lobby and our room were very modern and fresh. We were on the 6th floor and the classic Parisian lift isn’t for the claustrophobic. Luckily we aren’t so that wasn’t an issue. There is free coffee, tea and sparkling water at all hours which was a bonus. All the staff were super lovely too, and they have good recommendations for nearby places of interest and entertainment. In fact the neighbourhood has lots of wonderful bars and restaurants so you can’t go wrong anyway. We are already planning a return visit ⭐️🇫🇷⭐️🇫🇷⭐️🇫🇷

Good location only 2 metro stops and a short walk from Paris Gard Du Nor. Lovely friendly, helpful staff, free tea and coffee in the breakfast room all day. Room was clean and comfortable, also had a fan which was a blessing as it was 40° when we arrived. Can leave your bags with them when checking out very safe. Sacre Couer just a short walk from here and lots of local restaurants and cafés Would definitely stay here again thank you for a good stay.

This place was absolutely lovely. My room was on the smaller size but perfect for what I needed and very clean. All the staff were lovely and friendly. Only a short metro ride to all the popular attractions. Would highly recommend!

A lovely hotel. Easy to access all the tourist areas but lovely and quiet too. Really comfy rooms (we had a superior double with a lovely balcony and a classic double which was perfectly comfy but without the view). Beds were especially good. Hotel was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was really tasty and fresh. Staff were all fabulously helpful. A lovely stay.

My overall experience with the hotel was good. The staff was always very friendly and helpful which is not always a given in Paris. I can’t say anything about the breakfast because I hadn’t booked it. But the option to book it spontaneously every day if wanted is also a big plus for the hotel.

I and my daughter had an amazing time at Hotel Bellevue! The location is simply unbeatable, right in the charming heart of Montmartre. A special shoutout to the reception staff—they were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our entire stay. The rooms, although on the smaller side, were spotless, very neat, and cozy. We also really enjoyed the delicious breakfast every morning. Everything was truly perfect and we felt so well taken care of.

The rooms are quite dated and there is only one small lift, which wasn’t working on the top floor while we were there. There is also no air con in the rooms but we were provided with a fan. The location is excellent and really close to public transport. They have free wifi which worked really well. I would say it’s really good value for money and would definitely recommend if you’re okay with staying somewhere a bit dated.

Hello, I’m contacting you regarding the €100 security deposit we had to pay upon arrival. We stayed at the accommodation on August 20th, and we were told that the deposit would be refunded within 3 days. It has now been more than two weeks, and we still haven’t received the refund. We have also not received any clear explanation as to why it has not been returned. Could you please refund the €100 deposit as soon as possible and provide us with confirmation of the payment? We would appreciate it if this could be resolved immediately. Thank you.

Small rooms but clean large double bed. Small shower room but with all needed. Towels small but clean and adequate. Breakfast buffet is adequate. Cereals, eggs, pastries etc.. It is perfectly placed for sightseeing and lots of restaurants nearby. If you want a good base for exploring paris this is a great place to use. No frills but clean and tidy. Staff friendly enough.

Avoid this hotel! It locates in a very dirty street, full of disposable mattresses and made us feel unsafe. Room really look like those we saw in ghost movie! Old fashioned and dark! Also, the receptionist kept my passport without giving me back! Luckily I checked mine during breakfast in a nearby cafe and went back the hotel for the passport! The staffs still felt funny and no apologies for their fault! It really made me felt not be respected!

Tips for Booking a Budget Hotel Near Sacré-Cœur

Finding an affordable room near Sacré-Cœur requires more than picking the lowest nightly rate. The following tips will help you avoid common pitfalls, maximize comfort, and understand how pricing works in this highly sought-after part of Paris. Use these strategies alongside the hotel list above to secure the best possible stay.

Book at least two months in advance for peak season. Montmartre fills up quickly from May through September, and last-minute rates can double or triple. Early booking gives you access to lower tiers and a wider choice of room types.

Travel in shoulder season or winter. November, January, and February offer the lowest prices and far fewer crowds. You will still enjoy the basilica’s beauty, often with a dusting of snow or soft winter light, and hotel staff have more time to help you.

Check for rooms without a view. Sacré-Cœur views command a premium. If you are willing to face an interior courtyard or a side street, you can save twenty to thirty percent on the same hotel. The view is a short walk away anyway.

Look for rates that include breakfast. Some budget hotels offer a simple French breakfast of croissant, baguette, orange juice, and coffee for under €10 when booked with the room. That is cheaper than most cafés near the basilica and saves you time in the morning.

Use public transport to widen your search. The area around Anvers, Barbès-Rochechouart, and Lamarck-Caulaincourt metro stations offers cheaper rates than hotels directly on the Butte. These neighborhoods remain safe, lively, and only a ten-minute uphill walk to the basilica.

Read recent reviews about noise and stairs. Older buildings in Montmartre rarely have soundproofing or elevators. If you have mobility concerns or light sleep, filter reviews for those keywords. A room on a lower floor facing a courtyard is usually quieter and easier to access.

Confirm the exact cancellation policy before paying. Some budget rates are non-refundable, while others allow free cancellation until a few days before arrival. If your plans might change, spending slightly more on a flexible rate can save you money overall.

Staying near the Sacré-Cœur on a budget is entirely possible when you plan carefully and choose the right neighborhood streets. The hotels listed above prove that affordability and atmosphere can coexist, giving you more euros to spend on crêpes, museum tickets, and long café afternoons.

Montmartre rewards slow travelers who wander without a fixed itinerary. By choosing a well-priced hotel within walking distance of the basilica, you gain the freedom to experience Paris at sunrise, when the steps are empty and the city spreads out beneath you. That quiet moment, not the thread count of your sheets, is what makes the stay unforgettable.
