12 Best Restaurants Near Puente de Triana

The area surrounding the iconic Puente de Triana, the bridge that connects Seville’s historic center with the vibrant Triana neighborhood, is a culinary powerhouse. This riverside zone is not just a visual spectacle; it is a sensory experience defined by the aroma of grilled meats, fresh seafood, and the unmistakable scent of orange blossom. Dining here offers a unique opportunity to watch the sunset over the Guadalquivir while tasting some of the finest food Andalusia has to offer.

Choosing where to eat in such a competitive gastronomic landscape can be overwhelming. The proximity to the river means many establishments cater to tourists, but hidden among the terraces are authentic, family-run tapas bars that have served locals for generations. To truly experience the soul of Seville, one must venture slightly off the main promenade and into the narrow, tiled streets of Triana.

This guide focuses on quality, atmosphere, and authenticity rather than mere proximity to the landmark. We have curated a list that balances traditional Andalusian flavors with modern culinary innovation. Whether you are looking for a quick bite of jamón ibérico, a leisurely three-course lunch, or a romantic dinner with a view, this area has something to satisfy every palate.

Triana is historically known as the pottery district and the birthplace of flamenco, but above all, it is a neighborhood of food lovers. The local market, Mercado de Triana, sits just steps from the bridge and supplies the surrounding restaurants with the freshest catch and produce. Eating near the bridge means you are eating at the source of Seville’s culinary identity.

Our selections prioritize restaurants that maintain high standards year-round, ensuring that your meal is exceptional regardless of the tourist season. We have considered the quality of ingredients, the skill of the kitchen, the warmth of the service, and the overall value for money. You will find options ranging from high-end dining experiences to casual spots perfect for a midday snack.

Below, you will find a definitive list of the best places to eat within walking distance of the Puente de Triana. These establishments have been chosen for their dedication to preserving the culinary heritage of Seville while providing an unforgettable dining atmosphere. Prepare to discover why this small stretch of the riverbank is considered one of the best food destinations in Spain.

My friend recommended this restaurant! What an experience, the waiting staff were excellent especially the head waiter. The food was divine. I had Shrimp fritters, Squid ink and prawn croquettes , breaded mussels. Brioche (melt in your mouth) with an egg cup of ice cream.Cafe Con Leche and a glass of manzanilla La Gitana. Un aqua mineral. €30 !!!!! Great ambience and location the south side of the water !

It is a restaurant with very good price / quality balance. Very friendly staff, good service. Tapas plates are the same you can find in similar places but prices are very reasonable. Fresh, taste very good. İ especially liked fried mini fishes. Paella was not astonishing. We sat inside because of the weather but street tables looked charming. Triana is a different part of the city. Must see

We stumbled into this restaurant and it was lovely! We sat outside, had multiple drinks that were generous pours haha We tried a couple of their tapas and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Very attentive staff and kind!

Lunch menu reasonably priced: €16 for two dishes and one dessert or cafe. Food was good. Outside seating nicer than inside. Waitress didn’t speak English so ordering was a bit complicated.

This place is a magnificent traditional taberna! The service was really attentive and welcoming. Felt like you were dining in someone's home the welcomed you into. Affordable and great quality!

Unfortunately, the service seems to have jumped off the balcony — and the view is, in fact, the only thing still worth coming for at this restaurant. The food was bland and showed little quality. One of the steaks was ordered well done from the start, but arrived bloody. It was sent back three times and, even then, kept returning undercooked and still bloody. When it came to the starters, the staff were very keen to suggest more and more options, clearly showing an interest in increasing the order. However, when the main course arrived, nobody informed us that the steak came without any side dish, nor did they recommend anything to accompany it. We ended up ordering fries separately, but after the steak had been sent back three times, they did not even have the courtesy to replace them. By the time we were finally able to eat, the fries were cold and hard. The service and overall customer care were very poor. The staff were unfriendly, inattentive and showed no real concern for welcoming guests properly or resolving the issues we raised. Eduardo Lopes was our waiter. We visited Maria Trifulca last year and had a good experience. This year, unfortunately, it has gone significantly downhill. A huge disappointment, especially considering the prices and the location. The view is still excellent; everything else fell far below expectations.

We grabbed a walk in seat at the bar (very lucky!) and had the best dinner! The menu was classic yet elevated, and Lucia at the bar took the best care of us. She was AMAZING at her job, which only added to our lovely experience. Muchas gracias MariaTrifulca y Lucia!

So far the best food I’ve had in Sevilla . It is located in an old tower like building directly at the brush’s from Triana to the inner city . On first floor you can have drinks at the bar and view the river , which I already enjoyed a few weeks ago . They have a roof terrace for warmer months and a small and cost restaurant below the bar . But fine dining style , white linen , artisan bread in with a fancy plate got olive oil, and above all really good food. I tried the anchoas with boquerones, croquetas , almejas and a meaty quite heavy Andalusian rice, cheesecake with truffles . Rioja and an oranges infused white wine to finish it off . Will definitely return . It’s a popular place and as - especially in winter - it is small , reservation is advised . Prices are elevated but really ok for the extraordinary high quality of the food

Great people. Great space. Terrace in the sun was unreal. Mums birthday lunch felt very special. Re. Some of the negative reviews - if you go to places, don’t try and speak the language or connect with the staff you will never get on. This place is really special. Food was fantastic.
Evelyn Buzzi★☆☆☆☆
Terrible experience. Menu: we were told there was no physical menu, only a QR code. They do not have Wi-Fi to access the menu. My 5G was working, but the QR code would not open. Their official website does not provide the menu either. I politely asked for some way to access the menu and, after a lot of insistence, they brought us an iPad that only had the food menu. For drinks, the waiter kept insisting that it was only available through the QR code. Food: The fresh oyster came with such a tiny piece of lemon that it was impossible to squeeze properly; the little juice it had ended up all over my hand, and there was intense sunlight on the terrace. The chicken cannelloni was bland, had no salt, and was COLD. The meat was greasy and BITTER. It was not properly cooked — it was burnt, which made it extremely bitter. It was impossible to eat. After that, we did not even want to risk ordering dessert. Service: if it depended on the waiter, we would never have been able to access the menu. Price: not worth it at all! Unknown restaurants near the cathedral, with no reputation whatsoever, were much tastier and served much better food!!! We already felt like leaving before even placing the order — and we should have.

Wow! The food here is amazing. The staff was great. They made recommendations and they were very attentive. I stayed off with the smoked salmon salad. Presentation was incredible and the salmon was house smoked and gave the salmon some additional character and texture. I really enjoyed it. You have to order the rice dishes a day before so I could not try the Paellas so I had the steak. It comes out rare but they bring a flat stone seasoned with salt and you can cook the strip of steaks to the temperature you like. The meat was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Lastly, I had the brioche bread pudding with pistachio ice cream and it was good. Like a very rich French toast. They also gave a digestive of an orange wine. It tasted like a port but with a citrus finish. Fantastic.

Really nice experience. Had the chorizo, fried cod and breaded meat with ham and cheese. Food was good, service was efficient, although there were few customers so it's not crazy, and the portions were also good.

It’s not easy to just walk in off the street, since reservations are required. It’s always packed with guests. But after the very first bite, I knew it was worth it. The restaurant is close to downtown, so it’s hard to miss. The service is top-notch, and the staff knows what to recommend. And the food itself is excellent. Whether you’re a meat lover or a seafood fan, you’ll be satisfied.

First time in Sevilla and found the the restaurant, the waiter there is so friendly. He known we didn’t know Spanish so told us he was ready to help any time. I must shoutout for the Apple cider(shown in the pic) and honestly it was so unique and I am willing to pay 10 Euro for it( actually 6 Euro). We also ordered the steak, it was Original flavor and with bit salt, such a healthy one. The vibe there was good and staff member always friendly, price is reasonable. I would recommend it to my friends. Thanks. Love from China

Sit back. Relax. Put the menu away and ask for Alex. Let him order for you. Trust him. Insightful and honest. So refreshing. He will not steer you wrong. Now on to the food, and beverages. Amazing wine. Better food. When in Sevilla, or more specifically, Triana, please be sure to make this a must stop for dinner.

A cozy spot in Triana with delicious food and a warm, welcoming vibe. The dishes were fresh and full of flavor, and the service felt genuinely friendly without being intrusive. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy local specialties, and feel the charm of the neighborhood. A lovely experience overall.

Excellent food, exceptional wine, next level service!! A must go when in Seville. This was a top tier meal, we discovered it too late because we would come again!

Stayed in Seville for a week and visited many restaurants, this place was by far the best we tried, service is also excellent - Viktor is a great host. Must try is the beef rib and the Boquerones. 10/10.

We like it so much that we ate there twice. That says it all. With a wide selection ot tapas and a few daily specials one is sure to find something delicious. Both nights we ordered the Garlic Prawn Potato Salad. Presented in a rectangular shape on a black slate plate. So pretty. Then I had, Hijoli Taco. Only 1 is served with two crispy shrimp, chipotle mayo, guacamole and some pico de gallo. The Ultimate Toastie, was next. Also, only 1 is served. The roast beef was like eating butter. The sweet brioche bun was topped with marinated mushrooms and a truffle black garlic aioli. Wow! My husband started with the Cured Pork Loin; melt in your mouth. Simply sliced and placed on a plate. Then he ordered one of the specials of fish in a sweet tomato sauce. He lived it. The fish was perfectly cooked and the tomato sauce was just like mom makes. Simple and sweet. Remember this is for 2 visits. Another special was this Green Tomato like soup with raw scallops in the middle. It was like a very thick gazpacho. This was my husband favorite. We can't forget the Don't Squiz the Squid. Four baby squid, perfectly cooked and very soft, were served with black garlic sauce and an onion stew which made them sweet. Both nights I had the Sangria. You have never had bit like this before. Instead of the standard oranges, they put apples with cinnamon. It was so good. But you have to like sweet. Very different. The place is very small so get there early. There are only 5 or 6 table inside and 2 or 3 outside. Go or call and make a reservation. Look, will I eat there again? We did already. This is a must.

Stephanie was very attentive and friendly with my family of 8. She helped us make sure we ordered just the right amount of food for us. Everything was of high quality and the perfect portion of food to share. Great service and atmosphere! Would highly recommend for a big group.

Amazing service from Yasmine and the rest of the staff! Everyone was so welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. We had a jar of sangria, the tortilla with potatoes and pork cheek, different croquettes, and the risotto. Every dish was great! We'd definitely recommend it!

This was simply perfect. The service was so amazing that I can’t even put it into words. Fantastic atmosphere. Amazing food. Truly fantastic cuisine with a modern spirit in this city. And the dessert topped it off absolutely wonderfully. For me, it’s a 10 out of 10.

The food was amazing! The prices are really good especially for a restaurant near the water. The waitresses Stephanie and Yasmine were fantastic in taking care of us. The red tuna toast is to die for as well as the iberico paella.

Had an amazing dinner here! The tortilla was incredible, generous in portion, and the beef croquettes were a real highlight too. Carlota was a lovely and attentive host who made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

The best authentic food we had in Sevilla. Everything was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. The staff was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. A must-visit place.

Such amazing food! The ox tail soup was incredible, melts in your mouth absolutely delicious. We also had the tomato salad and pork cheek croquettes both amazing & very good wine that was only 15 euro a bottle. The place was quiet the night we went and I don’t know why as it was so good and so memorable (was a Monday and in the very very hot season). The waitress was so lovely & looked after us. Highly recommend you check this out and ask for recommendations on what traditional Sevilla food to try 🙂

My wife and I went here on a weekday night around opening time. The location was not entirely clear since the restaurant moved a few doors down and it was well out of the main street so we were unsure if the restaurant was actually open or not. The new location has four tables that are a little cramped, but there are three standing areas that you can eat at. When we arrived, there was only one person both waiting and preparing food, but later on another person joined to help wait. We recommend arriving early to be served promptly and be seated otherwise expect to wait for a while standing if you arrive past 9:00 PM. The person serving us was still very kind and patient as we looked through the menu, so we had a good time. We were recommended this location for its oxtail stew and we definitely consider that the highlight since the meat fell right off of the bone and the portion size was far more than we could finish. Additionally, we weren't charged for having olives, and these were some of the largest olives we had seen in a restaurant. We also ordered spinach and chickpeas, a charcuterie board and toast with raw cod and salmorejo. This was too much for my wife and I to finish since the portion sizes for everything was far more generous than we expected. I was not personally a fan of the toast with cod since it came with olive oil on top and I was eating too much oily foods and olives already, but my wife enjoyed it.
Amir Shaikh★★★★★
I love this place. Lucky enough to find it on my first visit in 2019, a must every time I'm back. I've never had a dish that wasn't excellent and the selection of wines and sherries (of which I know far less than I should) is worth coming back for. The staff don't all speak english but they shouldn't need to, I'm a foreigner in their country. Friends and I have stretched to four hour lunches on a couple of occasions. This is my favourite restaurant (they also have a tapas bar next door) in Triana. The only downside for them is the lack of outdoor seating

Staff were friendly, nice location and restaurant but my food was disappointing. There was very little gluten free food on the menu and even less choice for someone like me with multiple food intolerances. The staff tried to help but I didn’t feel reassured. My only option was a fish stew at 14,50€ which to be frank was lukewarm and tasteless, so very disappointing even though the place had been recommended by the nearby hotel we were staying in

We stopped off here for pre dinner drinks on our last night in Seville. It is an extremely stylish venue high up above the river looking out toward the Cathedral. We didn't have any food hence the lack of rating for their food. The service however, drinks and vibe plus its amazing location made it a very special place for early evening drinks. We enjoyed a couple of hours soaking up the vista and our drinks.

The floor-to-ceiling glazed windows create a truly delightful atmosphere, offering stunning views of the iconic Torre del Oro as a breathtaking backdrop. I chose the Triana Gourmet Experience menu and thoroughly enjoyed the leisurely two-hour journey through 7/8 courses, each arriving one by one. Every dish was exquisitely presented, and the waiter’s detailed explanations added a lovely personal touch to the experience. The smooth foie gras was an absolute highlight and my clear favourite. While the acidic, cold and raw Ceviche wasn’t quite to my taste, it was still interesting to try. The evening concluded with an interesting dessert "Disaster with the cappuccino" (not a coffee) rounding off a wonderful dining experience.
Justina Umo★★★★★
We celebrated my partner’s birthday at Abades Triana and it was everything we hoped for. We booked a Premium Table and the front-row window view of the Guadalquivir and Seville was absolutely spectacular, especially as the city lit up in the evening. The welcome drink and thoughtful little birthday dessert were lovely touches, and the atmosphere was elegant and perfect for a special occasion. When we had a little mixup with our order, it was immediately fixed. It is certainly a little more expensive, but for a special celebration, the experience was absolutely worth it. Thank you, Abades Triana, for helping make his birthday so memorable. ❤️
Doug Wilson★★★★★
Lovely views across the river back to the city. Delicious food and excellent, attentive service. Don't be put off by the ostentatious main entrance. Continue a little way down the sidewalk, past the hedges, and you'll find an entrance to a more casual deck with the same menu/kitchen. And don't miss the Disaster with the Capucino!
Mark Allred★★★★★
We were lucky enough to be able to get a table without a reservation and were very happy with their recommended menu combinations. Excellent food and beautiful view as well. Only negative aspect was that we had to flag a waiter down every time we wanted a new drink.

A wonderful small tapas bar that feels more like a lunch spot - but that just adds to its charm. We came for lunch and had a lovely experience. The owner/manager and staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The menu is small, but they also offer daily specials, focusing on classic Andalusian cuisine. There’s also pleasant outdoor seating, perfect for a relaxed meal.

The best experience in Sevilla. Come on time as this place is sold out quick. Take your time and just experience these 3 amigos doing what they do best. Masters at there craft, preserving the local, authentic atmosphere. Always ask for their daily specials. Came back for seconds. That is a review in its own.

The server was super welcoming and helpful in making recommendations. The food was so delicious we’re so happy we stumbled upon this place. The beef cheeks were incredibly tender, the grilled mushrooms were to die for with a chimichurri type sauce and the sangria with cinnamon was so delicious - some of the best I’ve had in Spain! Highly recommend.

We stumbled upon this tiny place trying to hide from the sun, but man, the food and service were awesome! These guys really know how to cook well (and buy only quality products!) and are so friendly and kind! We went to a lot of restaurants this vacation but this may have been our highlight because of their genuine Spanish hospitality. Mil gracias, amigos!

Nothing fancy but absolutely delicious food and warm and friendly owner! We wanted a salad that wasn’t on the menu so he made one that was fresh and delicious. Grilled goat cheese was one of the best things we’ve eaten. Tables are on the sidewalk on a low key street. Very causal. Would go back 100%!

food was delicious, interesting combinations especially for appetisers. burger with wagyu was to raw side so if you don’t like that type of meat, let the waitress know prior receiving food. beetroot mash had interesting texture but was delicious. terrace has stunning views and if it’s raining it can be closed. a guy who’s inviting inside was really charming and got some jokes also.

We had an absolutely outstanding experience at Betis7. Every dish was exceptional: perfectly ripe and flavorful tomatoes, delicious artichokes served on a creamy polenta base with foie gras, an incredibly tender rump steak cooked exactly to perfection, and lamb that literally melted in the mouth. The portions were also extremely generous. The service deserves special mention as well. Every member of the staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire evening. We were given a beautiful table on the covered rooftop terrace with breathtaking views over Seville. Even when it rains, the terrace remains fully enjoyable thanks to the cover, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere in any weather. Without any doubt, this place is a 10/10 for us. We would return anytime and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Seville.

Lucky find here in Triana. We were pretty well “tapased out” and were going to try to find some good Italian food. So glad we opted for this place. Some unique takes on traditional tapas. Highly recommend the fried octopus with rice. The goat cheese with fig tapa was so good we ordered two!

Absolutely lovely find. The food we had was amazing. No english menu so had to use Google translate. Had various dishes but tge highlight was the ox tail and arroz. Great value for money. If we were staying long we would be back.

They offer a large selection of very tasty food, most of it in tapas portions too, and for great prices (around 4 euro/tapa). We were surprised with how big some of the portions were. For example, the whisky stirloin and octopus&rice tapas could easily pass for full-sized portions. Honestly I think one could get full with just a single portion, but we were curious to try more and it was so worth it! All the food we had was tasty, but I would especially recommend the lamb ravioli and whisky stirloin (had this one twice), amazing flavours! When we went for dinner during the week it was quite empty inside at 9PM, but at lunchtime on Saturday it was full, yet the service was still fast. A great experience both times! A little secret: even though it doesn't appear on the menu, they had tuna tartar too when we went, it was a quite big portion of avocado&fish, very presentable and tasty.

Had the best meal of the Sevilla leg of my trip at this place. After a long day of walking, sat outside and ordered several tapas: zamburinas, chipiron plancha, bacalao, solomillo al whiskey, & croquetas. Those last were the only weak link; everything else was delicious and flavorful, serving of dishes was staggered nicely, pleasant view of the hustle and bustle half a block away. If I lived nearby I’d frequent this place often…

Amazing food. Service was good, they made space for us at a busy time and without prior reservations. Strongly recommend the restaurant

We ate here last night. The paella was quite nice, would recommend getting 2 portions to share. The other dishes were a little disappointing. Most of the staff were lovely.

Everything was very good and the service was excellent. I would gladly come back, even though the dishes were not all served at the same time, so we ended up eating at different times since we had ordered different courses.

Best croquettes I’ve had in Seville, great service! Paella is great, and the tortilla was delicious too! Definitely recommend! They accommodated a large group (with notice), and I also came back solo and had pleasant experiences both times! They have tapas plates and full plates, with fair prices!

Service was incredibly fast. Very good. The jamón is to die for. The salmorejo as well. Really good restaurant, definitely coming again. So pleased by the service, I’ve never had anyone deliver food so fast. Btw the seats fill up very fast after it opens at 13, so make sure to be quick

Tips for Dining Near Puente de Triana

Navigating the dining scene near the bridge requires a bit of local knowledge to avoid the tourist traps and eat like a true Sevillano. The rhythm of the day in Seville is different from many other European cities, and understanding this will greatly enhance your experience. Here are some essential tips to ensure you get the most out of your culinary journey along the Guadalquivir.

Respect the local meal times.
Sevillanos eat lunch very late, usually between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, and dinner rarely starts before 9:00 PM. If you arrive at a restaurant at 6:00 PM, you will likely find the kitchen closed. Plan your day accordingly, or settle for a snack of montaditos or pastries during the off-hours.

Look for the "Casa" names.
In Triana, some of the best food is found in bars with "Casa" in the name, such as Casa Ruperto or Casa Cuesta. These are traditional family-run establishments that have perfected their recipes over decades. They often specialize in a single dish, like grilled chicken or snails, so know what they are famous for before you order.

Do not skip the fried fish.
Triana is famous for "pescaíto frito" (fried fish). The neighborhood’s history as a maritime district means the technique here is flawless. Look for boquerones (anchovies), puntillitas (baby squid), and adobo (marinated dogfish). These are best enjoyed at lunchtime rather than late at night to avoid feeling heavy.

Cross the bridge for better prices.
While the restaurants directly on the riverbank offer stunning views, they often charge a premium for the scenery. If you walk just five minutes into the heart of Triana, specifically around Calle San Jacinto or Calle Betis, you will find significantly better value and more authentic atmospheres where locals actually dine.

Check for the "Menu del Día".
If you want to experience fine dining near the bridge without breaking the bank, look for the lunchtime "Menú del Día" (Menu of the Day). Many high-end restaurants offer a fixed-price menu during weekday lunchtimes that includes a starter, main course, dessert, and a drink for a fraction of the à la carte price.

Be patient with service.
Dining in Seville is a social event, not a transaction. Waiters will not rush you with the bill, and you may need to wave them down to get their attention when you are ready to order or pay. This is not rudeness; it is a cultural difference that allows you to linger over your wine and conversation.

The area surrounding the Puente de Triana offers a rare blend of historical grandeur and culinary excellence. Whether you are sitting on a terrace watching the river flow by or tucked into a tiled bar listening to the clatter of plates, the experience is intrinsically Sevillan. The bridge is not just a crossing point; it is the gateway to a neighborhood that takes immense pride in its food.

As you explore the restaurants on our list, remember that the best meal is often the one shared slowly with good company. Allow yourself to get lost in the streets, follow the smell of garlic and olive oil, and do not be afraid to try something you cannot pronounce. The flavors of Triana are bold, authentic, and waiting to be discovered.
