12 Best Restaurants Near Jardí del Túria

Sitting down for a great meal is often the perfect way to end a long stroll through one of Valencia’s most beloved green spaces. The Jardí del Túria, a sprawling ribbon of parkland that winds through the city, is not just a haven for joggers, cyclists, and families—it is also surrounded by a vibrant culinary scene that reflects the best of Mediterranean gastronomy.

Because the park stretches for nearly nine kilometers through distinct neighborhoods, the dining options nearby are wonderfully varied. From the historic charm of the Ciutat Vella to the trendy streets of Ruzafa and the residential calm of Campanar, each access point to the park offers a different flavor of the city.

For visitors, the area provides a unique opportunity to transition seamlessly from outdoor recreation to indoor indulgence. Whether you are looking for a quick, authentic bocadillo after a morning run or a multi-course rice menu that lingers for hours, the streets bordering the Turia Gardens deliver on every level.

Navigating a new city’s food scene can be overwhelming, especially when hunger strikes after a long walk. Many travelers fall into the trap of settling for overpriced tourist menus with lackluster paella, missing out on the authentic kitchens that locals hold dear.

This guide focuses on restaurants that offer genuine value, high-quality ingredients, and a true sense of Valencian hospitality. The selections are based on consistency, local reputation, and proximity to the park’s main access points, ensuring you never have to wander too far from the greenery to find a memorable meal.

We have considered a range of budgets and dining styles, from historic taverns serving traditional stews to modern spaces that reinterpret Spanish classics. Each recommendation is meant to enhance your experience of the city, connecting the outdoor beauty of the Turia with the culinary soul of Valencia.

Below, you will find a curated list of dining establishments that stand out for their food, atmosphere, and location. These are places where the ingredients are fresh, the service is warm, and the connection to Valencian culture is unmistakable.

Totally loved the food. I would recommend the tarta de dulce de leche as a dessert, heavenly!! The waiter Awards us but didn’t come out to take our drinks or even gibt us the card. Suddenly the waiters switched and we had the sweetest waitress who was an angle!!

The location is great! Great food! We ate like kings there. There was some kind of menu, with antreu and main food that was amasing! Very nice location, best food in whole Valencia in a 1 week vacation here.

Love this place, service was incredible! The tuna cones delicious, and the whole area great. Bathroom clean, and drink where easy to get with how fast the bartender where.

Wonderful meal at Jardines del Palau! Beautiful location right in the Turia Gardens, with a lovely terrace surrounded by greenery. The food was excellent and great value for money. A special mention for Alba, who took fantastic care of us friendly, attentive, and with great recommendations. Highly recommended if you’re in Valencia, we’ll definitely be back!

If you’re planning to visit, make sure to book a table in advance. This place is very popular, and now I understand why. The food is absolutely delicious. We chose the €24 tasting menu because it gave us the chance to try a variety of dishes, and every single one was worth it. The menu offers a great selection of Asian cuisine, beautifully presented and full of flavor. The interior is authentic and stylish, creating a warm atmosphere that perfectly complements the dining experience. The only thing that disappointed us was finding out, only after we arrived, that reservations are limited to 1.5 hours. We would have appreciated knowing this in advance, as we felt we had to rush through an otherwise wonderful experience. Other than that, it’s definitely a place I’d recommend and happily visit again.
Perri Strachan★★★★★
Lovely restaurant with beautiful interiors. The staff here were extremely friendly and accommodating throughout our booking. I would recommend booking as it was fairly busy when we went throughout the whole restaurant. I would suggest getting the tasting menu as it allows you to taste a range of food from the menu! We also added the oxtail gyozas which were lovely. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Having previously tried the Voltereta in Alicante—which we loved, especially for the food—we found this location to have a slightly different menu, featuring more maki and salmon rolls. While the starters were excellent and the sushi selection was great, the main courses fell flat for us; they felt a bit too simple and uninspired. Luckily, the desserts were nice, and the service was incredibly nice and attentive throughout the night.
Amanda Hays★★★★★
We had an amazing meal. Our taxi driver recommended this place. Diego was our server and he is very helpful and sweet. He recommended the best dessert (white chocolate and Filipino cookie cake) we chose several starters and had the butter chicken. One of our favorite things was also the loaf of payes bread with the black garlic aloli spread. So good! We recommend starting with the bread and making sure to end with dessert. We also got the local Valencia red wine finca Del Mar. also it is best to get reservations- we didn’t know this and are very fortunate to have gotten in. The atmosphere and decor are so unique. This is a must visit!
Anastasiya Usenko★★★★☆
I had a good experience overall, but with some downsides. First of all, the interior is absolutely stunning, service is friendly and quite fast even though the restaurant was fully packed. The main disappointment was the food. It was quite tasty, but it doesn’t match the price point. When you pay that much, you expect either exceptional flavors, decent portion sizes, or at least to leave feeling satisfied. Unfortunately, none of that really happened. We ordered bao buns, they’re so small and lack of flavours, also missing some fresh ingredients like vegetables. Ribs, which turned out to be a bit too salty and sweet potato purée served with the ribs was literally about two tablespoons for the whole portion. I also had the meatballs, and maybe my expectations were too high based on the menu description (“meatballs with Asian salad, mango, and dressing”), but the “salad” ended up being just a single lettuce leaf, two small mango cubes, and a few slices of onion. That said, the meatballs themselves were actually very good. Overall, it’s an okay place, mostly thanks to the ambiance. But for sure won’t recommend this place and won’t come back , unfortunately 🙁

Wow wow wow. Food was insanely good. Spring bruschetta starter was packed with flavour. We ordered the mushroom pizza (asked for no meat) and aubergine curry. Both were really good. And for dessert we had the lotus cheesecake. I’d recommend everything we had. Also the limonada y coco was refreshingly good. It was like a light, sweet, pina colada. The only downside to this place is the wait time. It took ages for the food to come out. I’m not sure if this is because they were understaffed but it is something to work on. We were inside for 2 hours which was far too long. Decor inside is also really good though. Very well crafted.
Mihai Scarlat★★★★☆
Overall a decent experience, but with mixed feelings. Food is limited in options. We tried korean sandwich 5/5, tacos al pastor 5/5, iberian secret bao 4/5 as starters and lombardy risotto 3/5 + tuna tataki 4/5 as main. The entrecote was overcooked and hard to chew, and the slices were very small and not as advertised, risotto was good and creamy. Service was fast and ok. We asked for some napkins, and they asked how many? We said 2, and we received 2. Restaurant is very cozy and beautiful. It s a good choice.

Daniela did a brilliant job as our server for a group of about 20 people. She was attentive, friendly and did not put a foot wrong. The restaurant is a lovely, cool, calm and relaxing space in the heart of Valencia with delicious food. Thank you!

It's a perfect place for a romantic date. We went for a set menu – the portions were big enough and food was absolutely delicious. On top of that, the customer service was very good and prices were reasonable.

This is a very nice restaurant with a cool atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and the food was excellent. We had a lovely bottle of wine for less than 20€ and the menu was varied. Great selection with reasonable prices for vegetarians and meat eaters.

A very beautifully decorated restaurant with a phenomenal interior. The staff are truly very kind and approachable. We had a few small communication difficulties since we speak English and a little Spanish, while some of the staff spoke only Spanish, but these were actually charming moments and we always managed to understand each other in the end. As for the food, we ordered patatas bravas, which were fine, the potatoes themselves were a bit under-seasoned and there was a small amount of sauce for such a large portion, so we asked for extra. But indeed a large portion. The croquettes in sauce were delicious, though for me personally the sauce was a bit too runny to eat on its own, but with potatoes or bread it was excellent. For the main course, we had steak with potatoes and asparagus, but since they didn’t have asparagus, we were served peppers instead, which was completely fine for me. The potatoes and peppers were excellent, while I would rate the steak 3.5 out of 5. It was well cooked and not too fatty, but somehow lacked flavor. Unfortunately, we didn’t really like the dessert selection, so we skipped it. Overall, a very good restaurant with excellent service and a little room for improvement when it comes to the food. ☺️

I had dinner with friends last week. Overall, we had a positive experience. The cuisine is diverse and exquisite. We tried the Fish ceviche, they added a biquinho pepper to it, this gave the dish a sweet and fruity taste with a light pickled sourness. The Duck magret was also very delicious. For dessert, we chose the Pistachio sponge cake, and we really liked it). The service is fast. The waiters are attentive and polite to guests. There are some downsides; The Group menu is only available for lunch, this was not clear from the website description. We sat in a half-empty restaurant and the staff seated a large, loud group right next to us. There were other seating options available. This completely ruined our ability to talk to each other.
Victor Stoev★★★★★
We had a wonderful experience. We were impressed by the quality of the food, the excellent service, and the beautiful interior. Every dish was delicious and full of flavor, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our visit. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back!
Kris Joosten★★★★★
A very beautifully and cosily decorated place, highly inviting. We shared several dishes for lunch, especially as it was our first visit and we could not yet judge the portion sizes. All dishes were very tasty. We had the liquid croquette, which could have been served a bit warmer and with a bit more flavor, but it is a very original dish. The steak tartare was spot on. The torrezno was also very good, just know that the portion is extremely large and best not ordered for one person only. The cecina, once we added a bit of olive oil, was also very flavorful. Definitely a place worth visiting. Reservations are necessary on Saturdays between 2 pm and 4 pm.

We enjoyed our dinner at Restaurant Secret. Firstly, it is located on a side street away from the hustle of the busy old city. We sat indoor rather than their high outdoor tables and enjoyed a lovely seafood paella. The flavours were great and the fish was excellent. We also enjoyed a cafe gourmand to finish and the portions of the desserts were good. Highly recommend a visit!

Absolutely delicious food! We ordered the octopus legs and the sea bass rice, and both were incredibly yummy. The octopus, in particular, was cooked to perfection—not chewy at all, just super tender. The broccoli salad was refreshing. The service was wonderful, and the desserts were the perfect finish to the meal. I would happily come back again. Highly recommended!

Wow!!! This restaurant is amazing! When you come here, you will understand why it is called "Secret Restaurant." It is nestled in a quiet alley where you least expect to find such an amazing culinary experience. The staff are delightful. The chef is a genius. The bartender makes amazing Agua de Valencia and sangria. We enjoyed the burrata salad, beef bourgagnon, and traditional Valencia Paella with chicken and rabbit. This restaurant is a must for any foodie visiting Valencia. I'm sure evey local already knows about it. Reservations are recommended, even for a Sunday evening. If you can't get one, the wait will be worth it.

If you are looking for an extraordinary dining experience, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. True to its name, the location is incredibly discreet, offering an intimate and welcoming atmosphere that sets the stage for a phenomenal meal. The food is simply impeccable, and the presentation is equally flawless. I ordered the octopus, and it was undoubtedly the best I have ever eaten in my life. It is honestly baffling to me why this establishment does not yet have a Michelin star, as the quality and execution of the dishes easily meet that standard. In addition to the outstanding food, the service is great—attentive without being intrusive. Overall, this was the best food I have had during my time in Europe. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates truly exceptional cuisine. A flawless experience from start to finish.
Enrique Mar★★★★★
A fantastic dining experience from start to finish. Secret impressed us with its creative Mediterranean cuisine, outstanding flavors, and high-quality ingredients. The croquettes, grilled octopus, Secret-style mussels, and beef tenderloin toast with foie were absolutely delicious, and the desserts were the perfect ending to the meal. What truly makes this place special is the service: Magda, Nico, and Morena make you feel at home with their kindness, attention to detail, and professionalism. They are a huge part of what makes the experience so memorable. Definitely a place you'll want to come back to. Highly recommended!

Dominique Lamport★★★★★
Excellent. Will return. I was recommended to this restaurant by someone who works there and I am very appreciative of the suggestion. The ambiance was perfect , a little romantic and without loud annoying music. The music varied and was in the background and you could still talk. The decor was subtle and warm with hints of Japanese maple leaves on the ceiling and in little pota on the table with mini lights in them. The waitress Nadine made suggestions that were excellent and each food was cooked to perfection. We had the hot artichokes appetiser, the mayonnaise sepia, and their patatas bravas as starters. The last one was really really very good. The texture of the potatoes was so good I couldn’t stop eating them. Definitely not your average patatas bravas! Then we had the beef stew ( which was like an osso bucco melt in your mouth dish), and the swordfish (emperador) as our principle meals. I asked that they pay attention to the cooking not to overcook that fish because then it becomes dry. The chef, Camilo (or Camillo?) nailed it! It was delicious. They brought olives to start with and then some oh so delicious warm bread! Those 5 dishes were perfect for 2 good eaters, because the main dishes are not big quantities so the appetizers made it perfect. We shared the tiramisu, which again was perfect, and I had 2 glasses of Cava (Spanish sparkling wine). The total for all that high end service and food was $108€. We were served by Tomas and Nadine and felt very well taken care of. It was our 10 wedding anniversary celebration and Tomas helped us take our photos. 5 star place! We will come back the next time we are in Valencia. Bravo Don Guillo! Gracias Jose!

The food was just “not good” my husband’s appetizer was anchovies which were soak in oil (out of a tin?) and my entree of pork with spring onions had no onions (really none!) and was bony and gaminess that wasn’t appealing also very was greasy not grilled …we ate most of it (we were hungry!) but both ended up with bad stomach’s the next morning and regretted the fact we ate it ( my husband ate half as he always does!) ….my husband had fish that was fresh and good but all the vegetables were so salty that he couldn’t finish them (and that’s saying a lot the man likes his salt and his veggies!) - wait staff was polite but not exactly friendly…over all there are much better places in Valencia- just pass…

eh. we preordered paella valenciana 3 days in advance (because the menu said it had to be preordered), which was a quest in itself, since the form on the website didn't work and I can't call a spanish number as a tourist, so we communicated via email, which was slow and inconvenient. the point is, we still waited for 40 minutes. what is the point of preordering then? the paella was ok, i wouldn't call it mindblowing. the meats (rabbit and chicken) were quite dry and tasteless and the rice was very salty. the restaurant itself has a nice ambiance, but it was totally empty at 2PM, which felt odd
Chris Hodson★★★★☆
Authentic local cuisine in Valencia. Be sure to review the menu prior to arriving as many items need to be pre-ordered. We ordered paella Valenciana for 2 and had enough for lunch the next day. Enjoyed a nice bottle of local white wine to accompany. Good value, generous portions.
Armando Cadena★★★★☆
Yesterday I made a reservation over the phone for lunch, but when we arrived it took quite some time before we were seated even though there were many empty tables. The waitress checked our reservation in their systems and then began attending to other tasks, leaving us waiting at the entrance for a while before finally showing us to our table. Once we entered the restaurant, we politely asked if it was possible to sit at a specific table, but her response came across as somewhat dismissive, saying that the table was reserved for a “regular guest” and wasn’t available to us. It left us feeling as though we weren’t valued customers. Once seated, the food took a long time to arrive, and the delay continued with the coffee and the bill. That said, the food was good, and the manager/owner was friendly, welcoming, and smiling throughout, which we really appreciated. Overall, the experience had some highs and lows, and we hope the service can improve, as the restaurant has great potential.
Monica Patel★☆☆☆☆
Firstly the restaurant was basically empty. We waited around 15min to get a table when there was hardly anyone here. Then we ask to take our order and the woman keeps saying it’s her partner that has to take it but they take 20 minutes to come. Then the food isn’t even that nice, the lamb chops were very plain. Then we ask for the bill and the woman keeps saying says again it’s her partner that has to do it but they take 20 minutes for that as-well. Service is really bad at this place. Do not recommend. It is also way overpriced, there are much nicer places with better food for a better price.
Sára Perutková★★★★☆
It took a bit longer before we were seated, but the paella was really good.

Lovely place! Absolutely amazing amosphere. They had plant based option as well, Beyond vegan burger, and it came with fries. I advise making a reservation ahead, all tables were taken fast. After a long walk through Turia Park, we were looking for a nice place to have dinner and luckily came across this beautiful restaurant inside a lovely hotel. The setting is absolutely charming — a peaceful courtyard surrounded by greenery, with live music in the background. A talented singer was performing during our dinner, creating a very special atmosphere. We ordered an appetizer, main courses, dessert, and tea, and everything was excellent. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavor. You can really feel the attention to detail in every dish. What impressed us the most was the service. The staff was incredibly attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. A wonderful place for a relaxed dinner in Valencia. Great food, beautiful surroundings, live music, and outstanding service. Highly recommended!

We went for dinner on the terrace on Sunday. We didn’t have a booking but were greeted and given options of seating. The wine selection is good and very reasonable. We ordered a couple of dishes. The highlight was the pianist on the terrace who also sung. The terrace is a delight with beautiful olive trees and planting. Service started off on point but slowed down later and we had to chase for our drinks. Overall a wonderful evening. The Westin looks fabulous.

The staff was very friendly and the food was also good. I thought +€5 for the octopus was a bit on the pricy side. But the overall menu price was very decent for that quality of food. We went on a Tuesday at 8pm and we were surprised, because in Spain it was still before rush hour. So we got our diner pretty fast.

Nice restaurant for a set menu for lunch, only €9,50 and includes: drink, bread, main, dessert and coffee. Excellent and very quick service. Nice house wine and delicious food. The only downside is that the main was a bit cold, still I'd recommend this for a nice lunch in town.

The food was excellent! Ordered the menu del dia including a chicken salad along with bread & aioli, homemade tortellini with salmon and cheesecake for dessert. Last one was a little too sweet for my taste, but overall it tasted very good!! Definitely a go to spot for lunchtime (11€ for the menu del dia) 😉 Muchísimas gracias!

An incredible meal well deserving of the hype. We tried a plethora of dishes, all of which were incredible. Service and wine list were also spot on. Highly recommended and a spot I will definitely return to. One of the best in Valencia.

I'm a chef, cookbook writer, restaurateur and TV host living in San Francisco. Obviously, I know food! I ate at FLAMA and loved it! The grilled rib eye was of exceptional quality and perfectly grilled. The wine selections were over-the-top. Ricardo, the owner and sommelier knows what he's talking about.; He recommended some exceptional wines and a fantastic Spanish digestif. I loved this restaurant and would go back in a heartbeat. If you are in Valencia, do not miss this gem!

All Food was amazing! The wagyu was way too fatty to our liking and I saw the table next to us experiencing the same.. is not their fault but I prefer a lower grade or different cut that is naturally "leaner"

Practical Tips for Dining Near Jardí del Túria

Finding the right place to eat is about more than just looking at a menu; it is about understanding the rhythm of the city and planning your meal around the local culture. The following advice will help you navigate the dining scene near the park like a local, ensuring that your culinary experience is as seamless and enjoyable as your walk through the gardens.

  1. Respect the Spanish meal schedule. Lunch (la comida) is typically served from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, while dinner (la cena) rarely starts before 8:30 PM. If you are hungry outside these hours, look for places offering "menú del día" at lunch or head to a café for a mid-afternoon snack.
  2. Look for the "Menú del Día." For the best value, seek out restaurants offering a fixed-price lunch menu. Usually available on weekdays, this often includes a starter, a main course, a dessert, and a drink for a fraction of the cost of ordering à la carte.
  3. Book ahead for rice dishes. If you plan to order an authentic paella, arròs al forn, or other rice dishes, call ahead or book a table. These dishes are often made to order and require a minimum of two people, and restaurants can run out of portions later in the afternoon.
  4. Venture one street away from the park. While there are some lovely terraces directly on the edge of the green space, walking just one or two blocks into the surrounding neighborhoods often reveals more authentic, less tourist-focused kitchens with better prices and higher-quality cooking.
  5. Carry cash for smaller taverns. While most modern restaurants accept credit cards, some of the older, family-run bodegas and tapas bars near the park may have a minimum spend for card payments or prefer cash for small transactions.
  6. Check for seasonal terrace hours. Many restaurants near the park have beautiful outdoor seating, but availability depends heavily on the weather and the season. During the hot summer months, terraces fill up quickly at sunset, so arriving early or making a reservation is highly recommended.

The relationship between the Jardí del Túria and the restaurants that line its banks is a beautiful example of how urban planning and gastronomy can coexist. After spending hours surrounded by the scent of orange trees and the sound of birdsong, transitioning to a table filled with local wines, fresh seafood, and garden vegetables feels like a natural extension of the Valencian lifestyle.

Whether you choose a high-end dining experience with views of the old city or a humble tapas bar tucked into a side street, the area offers a culinary journey that mirrors the park’s own diversity. Taking the time to enjoy a slow, deliberate meal is the perfect way to rest your legs, reflect on the day, and immerse yourself in the local culture before continuing your exploration of this vibrant Spanish city.
