12 Best Hotels Near Plaza de España

Finding the right place to stay in Seville can make or break your trip to Andalusia. The area surrounding Plaza de España is one of the most desirable locations in the city, offering a perfect blend of architectural beauty, green spaces, and convenient access to the historic center.

Built for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929, Plaza de España is a breathtaking mix of Renaissance Revival and Moorish styles. Its sweeping semi-circular building, ornate tile work, and canal bridges make it a must-see landmark that draws millions of visitors every year.

Staying near this iconic square means you are within walking distance of Maria Luisa Park, the Royal Alcázar, and the Santa Cruz neighborhood. It also places you in a slightly quieter zone compared to the bustling streets directly around the Cathedral, giving you a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing.

The accommodation options here range from restored 19th-century mansions to sleek, modern boutique hotels. Many properties have embraced the regional aesthetic, incorporating traditional Andalusian tiles, interior patios, and rooftop terraces with views of the city skyline.

Because the area is highly sought after, rooms can book up quickly during the spring festivals of Semana Santa and Feria de Abril. Planning ahead is essential if you want to secure a stay that balances comfort, location, and value.

This guide highlights the best hotels near Plaza de España, selected for their quality, service, and proximity to the landmark. Whether you are looking for a luxury palace experience or a stylish budget-friendly option, you will find a suitable base for your Seville adventure here.

I stayed here to attend the Icónica Festival in Sevilla, location was perfect for my purposes, I made a mistake in the reservation with the dates but I have full intentions to stay in this hotel because of the location when I arrived Sevilla I kindly asked the management for a date change because hotel has availability I was aware that I needed to pay a penalty but petition was denied with no explicit reason, we ended up staying at the hotel anyway and pay 82€ for the night. Then 2 days later we realized the actual date of my reservation was for September and I kindly requested them to cancel it without the full charge, petition was also denied. I asume my error and understand when you have no options because of availability but this case was any of those scenarios. You guys got 100€ for my mistake but you definitely lost one customer and receive a bad review.

Great hotel, amazing location and excellent customer service. Everything was perfect, the rooms were clean, well equipped and were very spacious. The location is amazing, close to everything relevant in Seville city centre. I had zero issues with my stay and would definitely come back!

Great location just across from the beautiful Plaza de España. The breakfast is good and plentiful, the triple room was a good size, bigger than normal I'd say. Would recommend. Have stayed here 4 or 5 times for 1 or 2 nights

Decent location, just on the edge of the historical center and few steps away from beautiful plaza Espana. The staff was helpful and polite. The only concer is the rooms that had this musty smell, and even though we took the better room that was supposed to be refurbished it felt outdated with old and damaged furniture, mold in thr bathroom shower and a lot of small details that ruined the impression. If you book in time there are better places in Seville.

I recently stayed at Hotel Pasarela in Seville, and unfortunately, my experience did not match the expectations of a four-star hotel. In my opinion, it felt much closer to a two-star property. The photos online are quite misleading. The hotel is noticeably outdated, and the rooms lack the level of comfort and amenities you would expect from a four-star establishment. When I stayed in February, the heating barely worked, which made the room uncomfortable during the colder nights. There were also no real amenities provided in the room. To make matters worse, I found human hairs on the floor upon arrival, which raised concerns about cleanliness. The receptionist was also oddly unexpressive and not particularly welcoming, which didn’t help improve the overall impression. On a positive note, the room itself was quite large, which I appreciated. The location is definitely the hotel’s strongest point — it’s directly across from Plaza de España and within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants, making it very convenient for exploring the city. Overall, the excellent location cannot fully make up for the disappointing quality and condition of the hotel.

This hotel has been absolutely outstanding from start to finish. My friend and I have had the best time together for birthday celebrations. We received especially excellent service from Jaime and Marina. They were so kind in letting us check out a little bit later than planned. This has meant a lot to us and made our last day more relaxed. The comfort and cleanliness of this Hotel is second to none and we look forward to returning to this beautiful hotel one day. Thank you so much for your amazing hospitality.

Our room was spotless, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches the hotel prepared for our boys, including the adorable wooden toys waiting in the room. It was such a sweet surprise that made them feel welcome and made our stay even more special. Dinner at quimeria restaurant The food was excellent, but what truly made our visit special was the outstanding service. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. They made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our meal. Their warm hospitality and professionalism created a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you to the entire team for making our dinner memorable namely Ines, Pricilla, Marta and Carmen. Plus excellent view!!!

Fantastic hotel in an excellent location. This was our second stay and we were looked after brilliantly by the Level team, Luna, Carmella, Juan, Veronica and Estrella. The rooms are spacious and clean, the lobby area is bright and also spotlessly clean. The pool area is busy and vibrant. Highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit Seville.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Meliá Sevilla and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The hotel has a beautiful, trendy lobby with a welcoming atmosphere. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The pool is a real highlight, offering stunning views of Plaza de España. Our room was clean and comfortable, although it could benefit from a bit of an update. The location is also excellent, with the city centre only about a 15-minute walk away. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seville.

Great hotel, full of comforts. All spaces are great. Very large rooms. Very good position. The main parts of the city are easily reachable. The hotel crew is very kind and helpful. A mention for the breakfast: great buffet with everything one could ask for! You won't feel the need of lunch after a huge breakfast like that!

You cannot beat the location of this hotel. Everything you would want to visit in Seville is no more than a 15 minute walk away. It is tucked away in a small beautiful plaza filled with orange trees. Perfect access to the Cathedral and the Real Alcazar make it a great vacation spot. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This was a great addition for the honeymoon!

What an outstanding stay here. The hotel is beautiful, perfect place, the park outside is stunning. The roof terrace was amazing in our suite and on top. The food was absolutely amazing. Best from all is the whole team! Everyone is super nice and helpful. Thank u so much for making our stay that perfect. We'll come back as soon as possible

Nice little hotel overlooking a beautiful plaza. Staff were nice. One negative is No mini refrigerator in room. Another, Not the hotels fault but too many tour groups constantly filling plaza and are annoying. The city of Seville needs to regulate better. At one time there were four different groups in the plaza at the same time surrounding us while trying to enjoy a morning coffee. Still we enjoyed our stay and excellent location.

Apartamento Boutique Vida was a wonderful place to stay in the heart of Seville. The apartment was comfortable and ideally located within walking distance of many of the city's top attractions, excellent restaurants, and shopping areas. Alejandro was a pleasure to work with throughout our stay. He was always accessible, quick to respond to any questions or requests, and consistently courteous and professional. Guests should note that communications and check-in assistance are handled through the staff at the Halo Hotel, located just a minute's walk from the apartment. The hotel staff were equally friendly, helpful, and attentive, making the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. If you're planning a visit to Seville, I highly recommend considering Apartamento Boutique Vida. Its central location makes it an excellent base for exploring the city and immersing yourself in Seville's rich culture, history, and vibrant atmosphere.

A really lovely, friendly hotel. We loved the peaceful square outside, with shady orange trees in flower. The hotel is small and very personal, the staff are very helpful and friendly. Everything is close by and easy to walk to. I loved our room - it was on a corner with two windows and a tiny balcony. There were considerate little touches: a double adaptor in the power point by the bed, with an outlet free for your phone, a little stool in the bathroom, wifi password provided without asking.

Due to a technical issue with booking app, a double reservation for different hotels was made. This is not the hotel's fault of course, but as soon as we reached out to them to explain what happened, they declined refunding the money. This was a reservation made on midnight for the following day as in there was less than a few hours between making the reservation, and letting them know of the error. They of course didn't care and absolutely declined to refund it. It's a really bad indication when a hotel chooses to treat errors as an opportunity to grab money...and really for a one night stay booked at the last minute. It's not like the hotel had to decline so many other potential guests. What a shame. I could have chosen this hotel when I return to Seville for a longer stay, had they been more courtieus and decent!

Fully recommend this beautiful hotel. Very professional friendly staff on reception restaurant and bar especially Alfredo who looked after us so well. Spotlessly clean. Excellent facilities and a varied selection of good quality food in the restaurant. The hotel is in a great location close to the plaza Espana. We were able to walk to all the sites from the hotel but the tram stop was just around the corner if required.

It was simply perfect! Every single detail was amazing! The bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and luxurious, and we loved having the option to order breakfast to our room. Located on a very quiet street, and the hotel is perfectly situated and within easy walking distance of everything. Thank you so much to the entire staff for making our stay so comfortable and truly exceptional. Your attention to every detail made our experience absolutely flawless.

Lovely hotel, the staff is very kind and the rooms are big and spacious. Depending on the room, you should get lovely views. There’s a nice bluetooth system in the room so you can stream music throughout the entire room (from the shower to the bed!). The terrace in 5th floor has a pretty nice view, and the food is also nice (one thing worth noting; please let people know in advance that bread isn’t free. I was offered bread without knowing i had to pay for it while i thought it was complimentary and barely ate a bite) Breakfast is pretty varied, and the location is ideal (right by plaza de España, San Bernardo station) All in all, great stay!

Amazing location, so close to everything. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is incredible! Rooms spacious and so clean welcome break after city exploring. We stayed with our 1 year old and it was great! Rooftop pool added bonus to cool down
Benjamin Wilding★★★★★
Stayed here for a few days on holiday and would happily return. The location is hard to beat - central, walkable, and well-placed for getting around the city on foot. The room was comfortable and kept very clean throughout our stay, with fresh towels and housekeeping every day. Great value for what you pay. Only minor gripe: the amenities were a little thin - no conditioner, and we had to keep asking for tea and milk refills rather than having them replenished automatically. Small things, but worth noting. Overall though, a really solid stay and one we’d recommend without hesitation.

My partner and I had a great experience staying here while in Sevilla. Location was good, close to a tram/bus/metro stop and super connected with every neighborhood of the city. Our room was spacious, comfortable and had all we needed. Bathroom was particularly clean and well-designed. Service was outstanding and all staff was attentive, competent and costumer-orientated. We used all the facilities and we were satisfied with everything. We must say, daily breakfast buffet was really outstanding, with plenty of healthy, vegetarian friendly options included. Also, the pool area is quite nice and convenient (especially on hot summer days), however, a bit small. On weekends, especially if larger groups are staying at the hotel, it can get crowded and sunbeds are limited for the size of the hotel. Unfortunately, the pool is not supervised by hotel staff, therefore, some individuals might break common sense rules and it can get quite loud/ not relaxing, possibly, several drinks could also be left on the pool side.. As an improvement, the gym is the only area that needs some attention: the cross trainer was out of service and the mats were also quite broken. For the size of the hotel, it might be too small: once 2/3 person are in at the same time, space fills up and no one else can train. All in all, we had a very positive stay for three nights and we would definitely choose it again, if in Sevilla!

We have had a wonderful stay at the NH Collection for our wedding anniversary The hotel is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and the staff have been friendly and professional throughout our visit. A special thank you to the lovely waitress Laura who helped me with my breakfast tea this morning. She was so kind, attentive, and cheerful, and her excellent customer service made my morning even more enjoyable. Staff like her are a real credit to the hotel. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so pleasant. We would happily return and highly recommend this hotel.

Very well deserved 4 stars hotel. When checking in we arrived 1 hour before the actually check-in start time due to an error on their email before arriving. As a result our room was not available but they upgraded us into a premium higher floors room instead. Very professional! Everything went super well. Breakfasts are some of the best I had with 4 stars hotels. Only small negative points, not in the city center (but you would pay much more if we were in the city center) and the swimming pool area becomes quickly too small if you want to chill on a sunbed.

The Wife, My Mum and I really enjoined our stay here. The pool is a really good size. The Breakfast is fantastic and the rooms are really clean. Location. Location, location is bang on to local sites of interest.

We loved this hotel! It's in a perfect location, walkable to basically anything you need. The room was clean and the front desk staff were very nice. There are free snacks, coffee, water in the lobby daily. We were lucky enough to have a room with a balcony, however there is definitely a lot of noise from the street late at night and very early in the morning. Wasn't too much of a bother though, I'd stay here again.

Had a wonderful stay, ideally located 10 mins from the Alcazar and the Cathedral, room with balcony nicely finished and very comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very well kept. Clean and comfortable rooms, designed like classical Andalusian houses, location is perfect, close to Alcazar palace and the view of the rooms and the rooftop is really nice. Good location, it is easy to explore Seville walking. The hotel shows some aging in some areas both inside and outside. I had a “Level” room that provides an elevated service. Very friendly staff and good breakfast service in the dedicated lounge. Not 100% satisfied with the housekeeping, the room was very clean, but at least for Level customers I would expect some more attention to details like not forgetting to leave a bath mate.
Radosław Konecki★★★★★
I stayed at this hotel from 23 to 26 July and was genuinely impressed by the outstanding service. The room was cleaned every day to an exceptionally high standard, including underneath the bed. I only discovered this by chance when I returned to my room to find the bed raised to about 100 cm using the built-in lift mechanism underneath it! The breakfasts were excellent, with both an à la carte menu and a buffet offering a wide variety of fresh, delicious options. The only minor drawback was the swimming pool. With temperatures exceeding 40°C, the water became so warm that it felt more like soup than a refreshing pool. Apart from that, everything was excellent, and I would happily stay here again.

Had a wonderful stay at Halo Boutique Hotel Sevilla. The location is excellent, the room was comfortable and clean, and the atmosphere of the hotel was beautiful and relaxing. A special thanks to Joaquín Rodón, who was extremely kind, professional, and helpful throughout the stay. He made the experience much more welcoming and enjoyable. His hospitality and attention to guests truly stand out. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seville, and I would be happy to stay here again in the future. 5/5.

Overall, good experience. We had some issues with our shower leaking water all over the floor in our bathroom, so if you stay in Rm 207 please beware that could happen; otherwise the room was great (see pic). The staff were extremely accommodating and welcoming, and the location was first class. It's right in the heart of the Santa Cruz district with that old Spanish flair and a beautiful courtyard right outside it's entrance (see pic). If you go, have breakfast right around the corner to your left as you exit at the courtyard restaurant. Tell Derek (pictured and one of the owners) I say hello.

A hidden gem in Seville. Cozy, stylish, perfectly located, and with some of the warmest hospitality we’ve experienced. Victoria and Alejandro went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We loved being able to walk everywhere and having convenient parking nearby. Would absolutely stay again.
Dario Mancini★★★★★
Fantastic Hotel in a great location! Joaquín was incredibly helpful and welcoming during our stay with recommendations from somewhere to watch the football, to places for breakfast and helping us find a gym to visit. Hotel was easy to communicate with via WhatsApp and were able to sort our transfer out form the airport for us, they were very responsive too. Location was right in heart of the old town about 3 minutes walk from the Real Alcázar and Cathedral, building was a haven to retreat to in the hot July summer, with air con and pool on the roof to take a break in the afternoon.

My partner and I had an excellent stay in the hotel for our holiday. Great views from the room and the roof top terrace. Friendly staff! And most importantly, super convenient location for all the tourist attractions, plus the old town vibe. Only small caveat is people can talk quite loudly on the streets so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Five out of five stars. The hotel's location is excellent to discover Sevilla - A 20min. walk away to most of the touristic spots. All of the hotel personnel is so friendly and they do everything they can so you don't have to worry about anything. We had an issue with the shower but the technicians came right away and it got fixed in no time. Fantastic and large beds + splendid air conditioning which is in our opinion a must have after spending most of the day in temperatures above 30 degrees. Fast and stable Wi-Fi connection. If you like, you can take breakfast in the hotel (€16pp). You get a wide range of products, all of good quality. Nevertheless, we liked it more to go into the city and discover some breakfast & brunchspots.
Tai Dissanayake★★★★★
Stayed at Hotel Monte Carmelo in Seville and honestly… this one just felt right from the moment we arrived. Tucked away in a beautiful, local neighbourhood, you get that real Seville vibe — morning coffees at nearby cafés, endless food spots to explore, and everything buzzing without the heavy tourist crowds. Yet somehow, you’re still just a short walk from all the main attractions. Perfect balance. The staff? Genuinely amazing. The kind of people who greet you like you’ve been there before — always smiling, always helpful, and full of great recommendations (which, of course, I had to test… for research purposes 😄). Breakfast was a proper highlight too — fresh, varied, and exactly what you need before a full day of exploring (or eating your way through Seville like I did). Travelling as a family, this place made it easy. Relaxed, welcoming, and super comfortable — no stress, just good energy all around. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better. Around 20 minutes from the airport, and perfectly positioned to explore the city on foot while still enjoying a quieter, more authentic area. This is one of those stays where nothing feels forced — great people, great location, great food nearby… just a smooth, enjoyable experience from start to finish. Would I stay again? 100%.

Room is modern and has everything you need. Staff is friendly and had a very smooth check-in. However it has bad sound isolation. During the two nights here, i can hear neighbor rooms talking when in high volume and furniture dragging from upstairs/adjacent rooms very often. And it woke me up late at night and early in the morning. Highly suggest the hotel to have a carpet under the chairs in the room to reduce the noise or add some cushion or pads underneath so ppl stay in the lower floor can also have quiet nights.
Gezgin★☆☆☆☆
"Breakfast Police" I’ve stayed in dozens of hotels across Europe, and honestly this was the first time I felt less like a guest and more like someone being monitored. The issue was not a few cookies and small pieces of cake from breakfast. Rules can exist anywhere — that’s not the problem. The problem was how this situation was handled. After I had already taken the items, one employee approached me speaking only in Spanish and explained that taking them out was not allowed. I understood the situation and immediately responded politely that I would be careful from the next day onward and would not do it again. I also specifically said that since I had already taken them, I hoped they would not simply be thrown away. At that point, I thought the situation was solved. But while I was already walking out of the breakfast area, another employee came after me and literally took the cookies and cakes back from my hands. That was the moment this stopped feeling like hospitality and started feeling like some strange display of authority and control. A simple polite warning at the moment I was taking them would have solved everything in seconds. Instead, the hotel chose to create an unnecessarily awkward and humiliating experience over a couple of breakfast snacks. Hotels are remembered not because of their furniture or breakfast buffet, but because of how they treat people. And unfortunately, this experience felt cold, robotic, and unnecessarily hostile.
W★★★★★
Lovely hotel in Triana. Check in was a breeze (there are temporary spots for you to unload luggage, just have to ask front desk to remove the barrier if not enough space). Booked the junior suite which is the largest room on the top floor. Balcony is great for lounging around. Clean and modern. Good night of sleep. I did hear some occasional sounds of furniture being moved around the second night, but they died down toward midnight. They have underground parking but I opted to park my car myself (very hard to find parking in Triana in general, be prepared for long walks back to hotel). Breakfast was above average, I wish they would automatically replenish the items that were depleted (for example, salmon was gone on both mornings), but they did bring out more when I asked. Front desk personnel suggested some amazing restaurants and are very friendly. 5 out of 5 stars!

Location is great just beside cathedral and palace and many restaurants and tapas bar! Our room is in decent size, has a nice little balcony with good views. Price is so good at off season. The entire draw for this hotel is location, which is fantastic The rooms are basic, ours did not have any decoration on the wall, closets etc and no view The bed was not comfortable. We did not sleep well. It was very clean and room service did a great job every day. There is a public space balcony on the fourth floor which is pleasant and has a limited view They have a breakfast lounge with free tea and coffee in the morning

Honestly for the price and for 1 or 2 nights this hotel is totally efficient. The rooms aren’t amazing because there are no windows but apart from that I couldn’t complain because the price. Rooms were clean, rooftop balcony was a nice touch and free coffee.. the service was friendly and helpful. Location is as good as it gets.. there is no tv or fridge but like I said for the price can’t really complain! Top for a quick night in Sevilla 🇪🇸

This small hotel is in the most amazing location right near the Alcázar. The staff were friendly and stored our bags after check out. The hotel is only staffed until 7.30pm at night. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Definitely recommend as was a great price too!

On the photo you may see which room we booked (photo from the booking site) and the real photo of the room. A guy on the reception told us that the hotel is full and he can't change the room. Since there is no window, there is no oxygen in the room. You may use air conditioner, but it will blow right on the beds, which is not good. Extremely noisy. Be careful with your booking here. No slippers, no toothpaste. Not that clean sheet (photo). Yes, location is perfect.

The location is very central and everything is within walking distance. That said, the room was very comfortable, we didn’t hear any noise while sleeping and rested very well. There is a legendary terrace view on the top floor — don’t forget to check it out. The taxi service from the airport was excellent. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean, and was cleaned whenever we requested. We will definitely choose this hotel again. 🌸

Loved every minute of our stay here. The rooftop patio was great. We stayed on the first floor and it was noisy only if you open the window to the street side. The heating worked very well. The kitchen was well equipped. English language TV channels. I loved the decor to bits. Elevator was nice and modern. Luggage storage in the lobby is incredibly convenient. The company's Whatsapp support was prompt and helpful. Just wish we could open the apartment with a code instead of a physical key which we had to go and fetch from another location 10 minutes away.

Staff are amazing we couldn’t have picked a more central place to most local attractions within about 10-20 min walk all around 🇪🇸😁

The photo doesn’t do it justice. The location couldn’t be more central . First and foremost the checkin that some find difficult.:This is the way things will be from now on. Get used to it…. There is an elevator and lockers for luggage. We stayed at the penthouse and were surprised how reasonable it was. The apartment is pleasantly decorated and very clean. The heating and AC is easy to operate and runs quietly. The patio doors are very secure, double glazed and run the full length of the side that faces the old town. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds are very comfortable. The closet space huge and totally mirrored. The bathrooms are also great and totally equipped so you can leave heavy toiletries behind. Even the bedroom that is interior has natural light coming through . The patio is massive and the building has a modern laundry room. My question is: Can I buy this apartment?

Gorgeous apartment in a great location, a little loud because it’s next to a main road but if the windows are closed you can barely hear it 🙂

Tips for Booking a Hotel Near Plaza de España

Before you finalize your reservation, there are a few practical considerations that can help you get the most out of your stay. The area around Plaza de España has a distinct character, and knowing how to navigate the logistics will save you time and money. Here are five essential tips to keep in mind when choosing your accommodation.

First, prioritize walkability over public transport access. While Seville has an excellent bus and tram network, the area around Plaza de España is best explored on foot. The main entrance to the plaza and the adjacent Maria Luisa Park are pedestrian-friendly, and a hotel located within a 10-minute walk will save you from waiting in the heat for a ride.

Second, book a room with climate control and blackout curtains. Seville is one of the hottest cities in Europe, with summer temperatures frequently exceeding 40°C. After a morning of exploring the plaza’s open-air arcades, you will appreciate returning to a cool, dark room for a siesta.

Third, check whether the hotel has an on-site restaurant or nearby dining options. The immediate vicinity of Plaza de España is largely parkland, meaning there are fewer tapas bars right at your doorstep compared to the Alfalfa or Triana neighborhoods. A hotel with a good breakfast service or a short walk to the Porvenir district can make a big difference.

Fourth, consider the timing of your visit. If you are traveling during the spring festivals or the autumn shoulder season, book at least two to three months in advance. Hotels in this area are popular with both leisure tourists and business travelers attending events at the nearby conference center.

Finally, look for properties that offer outdoor space, such as a rooftop terrace or interior courtyard. After a long day of walking through the plaza and its gardens, having a quiet place to unwind with a glass of local orange wine is a luxury that elevates the entire experience.

The right hotel near Plaza de España allows you to experience Seville at your own pace, blending early-morning visits to the empty square with easy returns for an afternoon rest. Whether you are captivated by the azulejo tile work or simply want a central base with a relaxed atmosphere, this neighborhood delivers an unforgettable stay. Take your time comparing the options, and you will find a place that feels like a home away from home in the heart of Andalusia.
