The front desk staff was amazing. Arranged transportation when we needed it. The rooms were spacious for Paris hotels. The room was clean and the bathroom was great. Excellent water pressure in the shower. Wehad and 8 year old with us and we would certainly stay here again!

Very disappointed. We made a reservation and somehow booked a reservation with another hotel with a similar name. We received an email a week in advance, but given the similar names, I thought it was to the correct hotel. I realized my mistake and indicated that we would not be arriving. They charged us anyway. It was an honest mistake. I asked for some leniency, especially given that I told them at 2 p.m. we wouldn't be there. They could have sold that room. I have received zero empathy.

The front desk was very accommodating. We arrived early in the morning about 8 AM to drop our luggage. Coincidentally I said we were exhausted because we didn’t sleep at all on the plane. They offered to get our room ready by noon, and after we came back around 1, we were able to check in, so we can take a nap. We really appreciate their thoughtful kindness and care. I travel a lot but seldom see hotels willing to do that. It made our trip easier and happier. As we went in to our room, a small plate of fruit and 2 macarons on the table as a gift to welcome us. So so sweet!❤️ Mu husband rated their breakfast a 5 start continental breakfast. You can also add either ham or bacon for your choices. I love the idea as they put your breakfast on the table for you. Although it seems limited quantities, it doesn’t waste more food as buffet type. Besides, the portions were a lot. It was even too much for us. One more good thing to mention is that they have plates and utensils in the room. So when we bought something back to eat in the room, we have plates and forks to use. The location was in a quiet street and only 2-3 minutes away from train station. Very convenient. I would definitely recommend this small beautiful but friendly hotel if you travel in Paris.

This hotel is very cute. We booked the larger family room for our stay since we are a family of 5 and could all be accomodated in an "apartment-style" room. To our dismay however, the room itself is located on the ground level of the hotel, with sidewalk-level windows. This was not ideal for our family nor was that how the room was advertised online as there was a picture of a window staring out at rooftops. We were only there 2 nights so we just kept it, but we were disappointed. Gregory at the front desk was very nice however and offered several area suggestions and inter-Paris travel advice. The area is unfortunately far from most attractions so you need to Uber everywhere or take the subway where the nearest station is a 12-minute walk. Not ideal.
Mark McGough★★★★★
Really enjoyed our four night stay. The rooms are well appointed and the beds are comfortable. This was our first time in Paris and the location was excellent with lots of places to walk to and places to eat. The staff is very helpful and I want to especially thank Gregory for his excellent customer service.

Wonderful, highly recommended. Just checked out after 3 days of stay with my husband. Rooms are all newly designed also lobby. Beautiful. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Superb location next to Luxemburg gardens. 8 min walk to RER. Lots of dinning options just couple of min walking. Was extremely hot but the hotel have great air-conditioning - did not feel the heat at all.

I stayed here recently with my husband and four year old. The hotel could not have been better. The staff was pleasant and attentive. I also felt very secure with someone always being at the front desk to greet you. The breakfast is lovely, and a perfect way to start your day before touring around Paris. I found the location ideal for visiting the main monuments and museums. You are steps away from the Luxembourg Gardens, which was particularly nice when traveling with a toddler. The room was well appointmented; the bed and pillows were comfy, the shower hot with good water pressure, there is a nice tea and coffee station, and you get fresh water daily. I would not hesitate to stay here again..

We had a lovely 10 night stay. This gem of a hotel is tucked away on a quiet Paris street yet feels close to everything. Great cafes and restaurants nearby, plus a pharmacy and grocer across the street. The rooms were very clean and pleasant. We were lucky to have a balcony which we sat on frequently, perfect for taking in that beautiful Paris spring weather. Staff were very friendly, and one of the receptionists Caroline was very helpful with answering my questions via email beforehand, she was quick and informative. All other staff were friendly and showed my fiancee how to use the nespresso machine. We ordered room service one morning and it was delightful and arrived on time, at exactly 8:30 on the dot which was the time we indicated we wanted it. The seltzer water on arrival was a nice touch. Not a complaint, but just as a heads up to foreign travelers, the rooms and elevator are very small compared to American standards. But we found our room to be perfectly adequate for size, even for a 10 night stay. This hotel was the key to having a lovely first trip to Paris.

My wife and I were on vacation and chose this hotel based on its reviews. We felt incredibly welcome, and the service was absolutely fantastic. Breakfast was served in a nice, cozy space, and the service there was also wonderful and friendly. The croissants and pain au chocolat were delicious, too! The location is absolutely perfect. We walked to Notre Dame and the Louvre, but took public transit to see places like the Eiffel Tower. The RER station is just a short walk away, which offers a direct train connection straight from CdG airport. The Luxembourg Gardens (Jardin du Luxembourg) are also right nearby and well worth a visit.

Wonderful hotel close to the metro, RER, and the sights along the Seine or Île de la Cité. The staff were very courteous and responsive, they promptly responded when we notified them of our unfortunate delay. The only minor, but tolerable, downsides were the small elevator (results in long waits during checkout time or breakfast) and the beds were a little hard! We would definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful stay at Bonsoir Madame! The location is perfect—just steps from the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens and surrounded by charming cafés and excellent restaurants. We found the hotel to be incredibly walkable, making it easy to explore much of Paris on foot. The staff could not have been more welcoming, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay. They truly made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was excellent, with a great selection and a lovely way to start each day. Our room was comfortable, well-appointed, and a peaceful retreat after long days of sightseeing. The entire experience exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a charming boutique hotel in the heart of the 6th arrondissement, Bonsoir Madame is a fantastic choice. We will definitely be back! 🇫🇷🥐💋🙏💙🥂

We loved our stay at Bonsoir Madame! It's located in a wonderful neighborhood, just steps away from the Luxembourg gardens and restaurants and bars, but also very quiet with neighborhood charm. We were in a Club Room and it was spacious enough for the two of us. The air conditioning was also lovely since we were here during a heat wave! They also have a water bottle filling station in the lobby which was great to have when leaving/returning for the day. Would recommend!

Bonsoir Madame was the perfect hotel for our stay in Paris. If it’s available, book a terrace room, you won’t regret it! We spent every morning and evening on our terrace enjoying the view. You can even catch a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower and watch it sparkle at night. The location is fantastic, directly across from the Luxembourg Gardens. Being able to walk through the gardens every day was one of the highlights of our trip. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, and despite staying during Fete de la Musique, we had no issues with noise or any chaos at all. For anyone visiting Paris in the summer, here’s what you really want to know: the air conditioning was excellent. We stayed during a 95°F+ heat wave, and our room stayed perfectly cool the entire time. We kept the terrace curtains closed during the hottest part of the day, which probably helped, but the AC never struggled. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure with plenty of hot water. Yes, the rooms are on the smaller side, but that’s typical for Paris and wasn’t an issue for us. The spacious terrace made the room feel much larger and was absolutely worth booking. One last recommendation: stop by Cave Clos Fleurus, the wine bar next door. We loved it and ended up going more than once!
Anamaria Kvasnica★★★★★
Absolutely everything was perfect! From the moment we arrived until we left, we felt so welcome. The room was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had an incredible view. The breakfast was charming. A special thank you to the receptionist, who was unbelievably kind, welcoming, and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, and his hospitality made our stay even more memorable. The location is simply exceptional. The moment you step outside the hotel, you feel like you've walked into the Paris from movies and postcards—beautiful streets, wonderful atmosphere, and everything within easy reach. This hotel exceeded all our expectations. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paris!

It is our favourite hotel when we visit Paris. We have been here two times already. The hotel has small but really well decorated and functional lounge area. The rooms are cute and really clean. My husband also organised for me a bouquet of flowers and the hotel staff made our stay amazing!

I’ve stayed at French Theory on a number of occasions and sadly, this may be my last. The hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance to several train lines. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the neighborhood and across from Jardin Luxembourg and around the corner from the Pantheon. The hotel has really strict check in policies and it seems like it depends on who is helping you at the front desk. Housekeeping knocked twice around 5pm, which seems like an odd time to be doing the rounds. The shower is tiny, the lighting insufficient. Keep in mind this is a no access street, so if you’re taking a car, it will have to meet you at either end of the street. Request a room facing the back of the building, due to neighborhood being centrally within several school, you’ll often hear students going to and from nearby cafes. I’ve stayed here three times, and each time there is construction. I’m not sure if it’s the adjacent buildings or the city but it seems like it’s always in construction. It’s great for a young couple or solo traveller. There is no fridge and not every room has a safe. There is an elevator and a coffee shop on the ground floor.

I stayed here for two nights and had a truly fantastic experience, largely thanks to the incredible team. From the moment I arrived, the staff were genuinely welcoming and went out of their way to make me feel at home. The front desk lady greeted me with a warm, radiant smile that was the absolute perfect way to start each day, and the evening crew was just as friendly, attentive, and helpful with everything I needed. The hotel boasts an excellent location and serves great coffee, but it’s the outstanding hospitality that really sets it apart. A quick note on the layout: The rooms are on the compact side with tiny bathrooms, making this an ideal choice for solo travelers. However, families or anyone who prioritizes spacious rooms and large bathrooms might find the quarters a bit too tight.

French Theory was a great find, the location was quite during the night and lots to do in the area during the day. The hotel staff were all lovely, and incredibly accommodating. The room was great for the price, only thing is the doors are thin so you can hear what’s happening in the hallway but we had a really great stay! Thank you!

I really enjoyed my stay here! I was looking for a hotel with a central location and God allowed me to find this place! Gloria and all the staff were so polite and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean ( its a bit smaller than I imagined) but it was ok for my one night stay in Paris. I also loved the decor. I was able to walk to the Louve, the Jardin de Luxembourg, the Norte Dame and the Pantheon was like 5 mins away! The breakfast was delicious and service exceptional. I am so happy to have found this affordable place 1 week before my trip to Paris after searching for weeks for a perfect location! Highly recommend .

If you are from the US and know the travelodge or motel6 brand, this hotel is similar. The rooms are not sanitary. We got two rooms, one on Floor 6 and one on Floor7. There were ants in the room on Floor7. We told the front desk about it and they said they would clean it up and there were ants still everyday. So we couldn’t bring any food or drinks up to our room in case we’d get infested. On Floor6, the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed since the last person as there were toe nail clippings all over the carpet. There were mold issues in the rooms. My husband got hives from sleeping on the bed, unsure if that’s from bed bugs but possibly. Why stay here? If you are on a budget, need to get multiple rooms (we had 3) and staying for many days, then this makes sense. There was no hot water for showers the entire time. So hopefully you go in a heatwave. Some decent things- it’s safe, friendly staff, nice to get the breakfast included, close to many restaurants and sites, air conditioning was great, view of Eiffel Tower from the room. I recommend getting the deluxe suite, it was a decent size.

Don't let the 2 stars freighten you. This hotel is soo good. After a very inconvenient experience at the Ibis budget hotel, me and my friend had to find an immediate solution and book a new hotel. The only one within our price range and good accessibility was this one and let me tell you, we should have booked it first. We had to book it the same day of arrival so you can guess how stressful it all was, but as soon as we arrived in this hotel we were greeted by the amazing and nice guy at the reception. We loved every single detail especially since it brought us back in time with the beautiful elevator. The room(bathroom as well) and halls are small, but it's Paris so it's part of the experience. Everything was clean and new, the view was amazing, there was hot water, good Wi-Fi and the best part was the amazing location. Notre Dame is 10 minutes away on foot, there are many local restaurants and cafés nearby, markets open late in the night and many cute bookstores. If you want the best stay in Paris, then this is for you. When I come back in Paris again, this will be my choice 100%.😊

Affordable hotel in a fantastic location with everything you might need within walking distance on a safe and quiet street. The breakfast was surprisingly good with plenty of options and all the staff we encountered were very friendly and could communicate in English. Clean room, hot water and working AC. The room even had a French balcony with views of the Eiffel Tower in the distance which was a very nice surprise. Only complaint is that the room was very small, especially the bed which barely fit two people. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re looking for an affordable option in the 6th!

I recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, I loved the vintage vibe and what is great about it, is the location, you have everything near, and if not, you’re very close to the metro lines that take you directly to the wished places. Although it was a nice stay, in the last day I noticed a good amount of ants on the floor (mind you the floor is fully covered with a carpet), and that was not very nice, thankfully I didn’t notice on the first day otherwise I would go insane. Other then that everything else was nice, just inspect your room right from the start. The staff would clean the room everyday - not sure if they thoroughly cleaned it but we would always find everything nicely folded.
Nextbiteoflife Expats In Spain★★★☆☆
It's exactly what it says it is - A two star hotel. It's in a five star location however. The rooms are tired, clean, but the layout is funky. We had the double room but it requires climbing over my husband to get up from the bed. Forget about watching tv if you don't speak French, and you bump your head into it often. Every staff member we interacted with was fantastic. There is a tiny elevator but we are used to that in Spain so no big deal. We spent five nights, and for what we paid, I expected more, even if it's Paris.

I carefully chose this hotel for my clients: a Brazilian honeymoon couple on their first trip to Europe. It was the best decision I could have made! I can confidently say this has been one of the best hotel experiences any of my clients have ever had. First of all, the communication with the hotel through Booking was PERFECT! They gave me all the support I needed to assist my clients and made their stay truly memorable! I was especially impressed to receive a message from Mouna saying: "I can confirm that Beatriz and Kenedy have just arrived at the hotel. Since their room was already ready, we were able to check them in immediately, with no wait. To make their stay even more enjoyable, we've upgraded them to a superior room. We've also set up a romantic decoration and given them a small bottle of champagne to celebrate their arrival”. Is there anything better than that? Planning a trip with care and dedication and having a hotel that contributes 100% to making everything run perfectly? Certainly not! The location is unbeatable: just a two-minute walk from metro stations, close to the Louvre Museum, very close to Place Saint-Germain-des-Près, one of the best places to stay in Paris, surrounded by restaurants, shops, cafés, bakeries, bars, pizzerias, and more. The hotel is immaculately clean, cozy, beautiful, great rooms, an excellent breakfast, a wonderful atmosphere and outstanding amenities. One of the highlights is the service! Mouna and the entire staff are truly wonderful. This hotel represents genuine hospitality! Their support in every detail made a huge difference. My clients genuinely loved every moment, absolutely impeccable in every way! Thank you all for making my clients' stay so special and memorable. From now on, I will definitely be sending my clients only to this hotel: no doubts, the best choice among many hotels I’ve booked before! Thank you very, very much! Eneyle Freitas

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel La Folie des Prés. The hotel is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and perfectly located in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, making it easy to explore Paris on foot. What truly made our stay exceptional was the outstanding service. A special thank you to Mona at reception, who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. She was incredibly warm, welcoming, professional, and always happy to help with recommendations and anything we needed. Her kindness and genuine care made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We highly recommend Hotel La Folie des Prés to anyone visiting Paris and will definitely stay here again on our next trip. Thank you, Mona, and the entire team, for such a fantastic experience!

Perfectly situated boutique hotel and decorated beautifully. We loved our room (33) and the facilities were kept to a high standard. Very clean and the little touches like the free tote bag, sweets in the room and coffee was appreciated The beds were super comfortable and it was great to have aircon in our room. Yes, you can hear the Metro like underneath the hotel - but I personally find this soothing white noise. Staff very friendly too. Would return!

This hotel was everything I dreamed of for my birthday!! The manager arranged a pink room for me, confetti and a bottle of wine to celebrate upon my arrival. The AC was amazing in the Paris heat and it was honestly better than anywhere else in the city that I went. The hotel is small, like most Paris hotels, but I didn’t even mind because the uniqueness makes up for it!! The housekeeping team is very nice and the rest of the staff is wonderful. The location was also amazing and easily accessible to many tourist attractions. I cannot wait to come back to Paris and stay here!!
Marte Fagerheim★☆☆☆☆
La Folie has provided some of the worst hotel service I have ever experienced. A few days before our arrival, I emailed the hotel twice to make sure our booking was valid, as I had booked through a third-party website. On both occasions, they confirmed that our two rooms were definitely booked and ready for us. When we arrived late on Friday evening with two children, we were met by a receptionist who was extremely unhelpful and told us that we only had one room booked. After a long and stressful discussion, the receptionist made another serious mistake. He called another hotel at around midnight, where we eventually had to book two rooms, and falsely told us that they only had one room available there as well. As a result, we were forced to split up into two groups. The following day, the other hotel informed us that both rooms we had requested had in fact been available. Because of La Folie’s mistakes, we ended up having to pay for both the room at La Folie and the room at the other hotel that night. What made the situation even worse was that the receptionist refused to acknowledge his mistakes. This resulted in three months of lengthy and extremely frustrating email correspondence, which has been a huge waste of time and energy. La Folie is also an extremely small hotel, where everything feels miniature. It is definitely not recommended for anyone who is claustrophobic. The elevator, stairways, reception area (which is basically a tiny cupboard), bedroom and bathroom are all incredibly cramped. There was barely any space to put a suitcase on the floor, and the bathroom was so small that it was difficult to turn around. The hotel looks much nicer in the pictures than it does in reality. The location is also somewhat removed from the main streets of Saint-Germain, and we did not feel comfortable walking there alone or with children after dark. Overall, I would definitely not recommend staying at La Folie.

Great. I would come back next time Very clean, friendly staff and room is so so cute. The bathtub is huge. We were there during the heatwave so it was convenient for us to take breaks in between our short window to go out and come back in. The AC was AMAZING. We got some macaroons as welcoming amenities, it was a nice touch. We can also store our baggage before check in. Some things to keep in mind: they are currently in renovations so you're just going to be in and out while they do constructions, that might bother some people. The elevator is tiny so do be mindful that it cannot accommodate everyone, the staircase is also a little narrow. I have had 0 problem, this is actually the best hotel we stayed at that I loved throughout our Europe trip, up par with the 5 stars we've stayed at. It is so good for being a 4 star hotel. Location is also great. I definitely prefer to stay here than to be near the other bigger attractions. Everything was great. Although wifi was pretty slow

Had a lovely stay at Hotel Le Lapin Blanc in Paris. The staff were incredibly sweet and welcoming, and the rooms were very nice. We specifically wanted a king bed, which can sometimes be hard to find in Europe, so that was a big plus for us. A couple things to note for future travelers: the bathroom isn’t fully separate and has a glass partition setup, so if you’re traveling with friends or people you’re not super comfortable with, just be aware of that. There is a lift in the hotel, but it’s tiny, so you may need to make multiple trips with luggage. That said, the location is fantastic. It’s right near Notre-Dame, centrally located, and very close to the metro. The area felt safe, lively, and full of great cafés, so we never missed having room service. Would definitely recommend staying here if you want a charming hotel in a great part of Paris. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

(JULY 2026) The lobby is undergoing major renovation and my room was right above it BUT heard absolutely NO noise. The team provided appeasement due to breakfast and other lobby amenities not being available (I don’t really care since I am out and about all day!) Despite facing the busy street, I slept very well through the night. 😴 The front desk staff was great, from check in to special requests like using the freezer for French Butter 🧈 🚌 Bus stop is only several steps away, and metro is only a 5-min walk! 🥐 Lots of restaurants, cafes and shopping nearby! The room itself has PLENTY of room for my three luggages and the team will provide additional hangers + iron if needed. Love the welcome amenity. The coffee was delicious! 🤤 I used the extra large bath tub before my flight out to decompress and be sad that I was leaving Paris. I can’t wait to come back and stay here again! It’s close to NotreDame, Saint Chapel, and Louvre. (Tales from a frequent traveler in the US. I would compare this to an Autograph Collection 🌟)

Very disappointed for the full price we pay. To my surprise, when we arrived at the hotel, we found that the entire reception area, lobby, and breakfast/bar area were under major renovation. At no point before my stay was I informed that the hotel was undergoing such extensive construction work. Throughout our whole 6 days stay, there were constantly construction workers in the common areas, and there was dust everywhere due to the renovations. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was because I needed a quiet place where I could also work from my room. Unfortunately, that was impossible. The noise from the construction was continuous, including marble cutting, heavy machinery, and other renovation work taking place throughout the day. I was also unable to enjoy any of the hotel’s common areas, as they were essentially unusable because of the renovations. On our departure day, our flight was in the evening, and after checking out at 11:00 a.m., I had planned to work from the hotel’s reception area until it was time to leave for the airport. Once again, this was not possible because the reception and lobby were still under construction. I completely understand that renovations are sometimes necessary. However, I believe guests should be clearly informed before booking when the hotel’s main facilities are unavailable and when the level of noise is significant enough to impact their stay. At the very least, the room rates should reflect the reduced experience and limited facilities being offered… Unfortunately the experience fell far below what was advertised and what I expected from this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was excellent and made it easy to explore the city. The staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly, and accommodating throughout our visit. Our room on the 5th floor (Room 54) had a lovely city view, and the bed and linens were very comfortable. A special touch that we appreciated was the daily macaroons left in our room. On our first day, I wasn’t feeling well and asked where I could buy some tea. Within minutes, the staff brought an electric tea kettle and tea bags directly to my room. This thoughtful gesture truly exceeded my expectations and made me feel well cared for. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so comfortable and memorable. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here in the middle of a heatwave in June with my 15yo daughter. She was delighted with the balcony! I was pleased with the standard of the room and the fan. Everything was clean, the room was large enough for the two of us, and the bathroom was fine, with good water pressure in the shower and plenty of towels. The best thing about this hotel really is the location. You can walk to Notre Dame in 10m or so, and the Louvre in 15. I had bought a pack of 10 bus tickets each for us, but we only used 4! Very walkable and a lovely neighbourhood with lots of cafes and restaurants and a very Parisienne feel which I wanted for her first trip to Paris. Service was also very pleasant and the room was tidied up and bed made every day, which is always nice. I would recommend and would certainly book it again. Great value for such a central location.

The only positive things about the hotel are its location and the young male receptionist who works the night shift. He was very friendly, welcoming, and always smiling. He personally deserves 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ps: Even though we chose a room without breakfast and did not have breakfast at the hotel, we were still asked to pay for breakfast at check-out. Similarly, even though we had already paid the city tax at check-in, we were asked to pay it again at check-out.

This hotel is in the middle of it all in Paris. You will have access to many sites with plenty of food options available. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable of the area. I could not have asked for a better experience. My hotel made my Paris trip magnificent. I highly recommend it.

Helpful administrators, very good and safe area. Rooms are a bit small but that is what you get for that price in this area. Overall if you are looking to stay in a quite and safe area - this will work great.

After a long search of possible options of where to stay I found this hotel and all I can say is that I completely and highly recommend it. We were 3 and have had experiences with small rooms with very limited space but my surprise was amazing! The space was huge and had 3 individual beds well located, a huge locker to place our belongings, big bathroom with bathtub. BUT, the room had 2 small balconies 🙂 with a view to the Odeon theater, a total PLUS! The breakfast was the regular one but with very good taste and enough options to charge energy for a long day of touring. We really had a great time and the neighborhood is just perfect, you will be near the Sorbonne so the area is all students and alive! Luxemburg Gardens are just a few blocks away, the Phanteon, Notre Dame, Sainte Chapell and the Seine as well and if you have the opportunity, visit Rue Mouffetard, just beautiful. Our special thanks to Camilia who was always there for us during our breakfasts and made us felt like home and to Sene on reception always wanting to be sure we had a great time. I am coming back, no doubts. Thank you all, you are the best!!!

This is a mediocre hotel in a very convenient location. You can tell it has not been renovated in forever because of old stains on the walls, chipped bathtubs, etc. and while I was there they had water damage so breakfast was served in another hotel down the road and the elevator stopped working because of water in the shaft. The stairwell is the typical Parisian rounded-edges steep staircase that are very easy to trip on. It’s ok if you only need a place to sleep in a very convenient location, but if you’re looking for a cozy room look elsewhere. Not recommended if you have limited mobility or small kids with strollers.

The front desk gentleman was absolutely awful. He was rude, dismissive and looked like all he wanted to do was sit and smoke in the doorway which made the whole hotel lobby stink. The AC was out in one room and day one he said he was getting someone to come look at it. He didnt, my kids were sweltering in the Paris summer heat. Finally after talking to him numerous times he changed our rooms, and of course he was rude about it and acted like it was such an inconvenience and that he was doing us a favor. What he seems to forget is that the guests pay his wage. The one person at the hotel who was good was the sweet breakfast lady, always smiling and kind. I hope the management sees this review because the gentleman at the front needs to be fired.

This Kind of hotel was really Bad. The only reason that we gonna took IT because of the metro and the price! You just need this small room for sleeping

Old hotel, good price for location and room size

I was able to book a stay here after an awful experience with an Airbnb, last minute and they were able to get me in as soon as 9am the next day! The front desk service were incredibly nice and polite, the room service was amazing and the best part was their A/C. Paris was going thru a heat wave at the time and this was a life saver here! And the location was prime, there were so many restaurants and cute locations, it was hard to leave this area to explore the rest of Paris. I would def recommend this place if your main goal is to have a place to sleep, shower and have A/C. Will most likely book again when I come back.

Absolutely wonderful experience staying at Hotel Recamier on what would end up being the hottest days of the year in Paris. From the moment we arrived, we were met with kindness and we absolutely loved the perfect location of the hotel. The lobby was very cute and the rooms were quite large for Paris standards- the air worked amazing which I cannot say enough about given the circumstances. It was quiet, spacious and everything we wanted for our stay in Paris. Looking forward to coming back!

For a girlfriends trip to Paris, we chose Hotel Recamier at the recommendation of a friend and travel guide. We are so glad we followed up and booked our 4-day stay there! It is a smaller, boutique hotel located in the heart of St. Germain across from Saint Sulpice which was about a 1 mile radius to the Louvre, Notre Dame and tons of excellent shopping and restaurants. Very walkable area night or day. The hotel rooms were spacious for Paris and very well appointed with lots of amenities (including an Eiffel Tower view!). The staff was gracious and helpful with any question. Our special thanks to Cecilia who went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed. Definitely a "re-do" on any return to Paris!

We were a family of five staying across three rooms. The location is absolutely stunning, and the staff were wonderfully welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We opted for the breakfast package, which offered a solid selection of cheeses, yoghurt, and eggs made to order. I stayed in the single room in the courtyard, which had a lovely hidden-retreat feel, though the layout made getting to and from the breakfast area a little awkward at times. My parents and sister and her partner were in the double rooms, which were noticeably more spacious and comfortable. The location is unbeatable, and the hotel has a quiet charm and sense of reprieve that's hard to find. Definitely recommend!

This hotel incorporates all the right touches. Warm welcoming reception. Tasteful and elegant decor. An elegant and intimate lounge area and quiet courtyard to decompress and enjoy complimentary refreshments after a busy day in Paris. And most importantly, a comfortable bed in a quiet location in the 6th. Our new favourite hotel in Paris.

We had the pleasure of staying with Hotel Récamier twice within the last eight months and it was a treat both times. Service was lovely. Beds are comfy. Staff is polite, kind, and has wonderful recommendations. The tea service is a lovely way to enjoy the afternoon. Thank you for the exceptional stay again!

Do not stay at this hotel. Awful full stop. I don't even want to click 1 star. 0/100. I had to move my family to a nice hotel round the corner as this hotel was not clean, safe nor well looked after. I asked for a refund on the days we didnt stay and was sent a blunt/rude reply which refused and was not apologetic at all. I never do reviews, but felt the need in this case in case it helps others to not make same mistake as us. Air conditioning leaking, reported to staff who indicated it was "not their problem", floor sticky and room in poor state too, bathroom doors would not even close properly due to the damp, staff not welcoming nor helpful. If they cannot look after the basics then entire hotel cannot be considered safe to stay in given the clear safety & fire hazards with its design. Was so glad I moved hotels despite additional cost as the people in the area and other hotels nearby were fantastic/friendly. Just not in this hotel. Avoid at all costs

I stayed at this hotel from December 5th to 8th. On Monday at 3:20 a.m., I asked the receptionist to order a taxi for me for 4:00 a.m. At the same time, I tried to order an Uber for my partner, but the app didn’t seem to work, so I decided to request a second taxi for them. Suddenly, the Uber I had ordered appeared, and my partner got into it. The receptionist, in a very aggressive manner, told me that I had to pay for both taxis to the airport (€65 each). I told him I would not pay for that. He kept insisting aggressively… The treatment was unworthy of a hotel receptionist; it felt more like the behavior of a thug from a Paris suburb. People like this should not be dealing with guests, as they make you never want to return to that hotel again!

It's impossible to sleep at night due to the bar/club next door. Rooms are very outdated and need some renovation. The breakfast is very basic with old stale croissants.

This hotel is dishonest and charges you for eating or having food in your room despite it not being advertised as such. The staff is rude and hangs up when you contest charges. I have filed a fraudulent charge with them and a chargeback with my bank due to the fraud. I highly recommend you stay elsewhere.

The rooms are not at all as shown in the pictures!! BEWARE. The room was so tiny and the bathroom was not clean. Also our air conditioning broke halfway through our stay and they were unable to fix it. It was July and unbearably hot in the room. We also asked not to have our room cleaned and everyday when we came back it was clear someone had entered our room. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel. Certainly not worthy of a three star rating.

EXCELLENT location for vacationers! Very cozy and clean room on the third floor with sweet view of the rue. Johnson, our housekeeper, was the most kind, charming, welcoming, and accommodating gentleman. Four night stay with exceptional A/C which was necessary during our visit. Bathtub a nice plus!! A great bargain for the location, too! Will definitely try to book again!

One of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. I am still shocked by how this situation was handled. We arrived expecting the room we had paid for and instead were given a room directly on street level with almost no privacy. Anyone walking past could look straight into the room, which made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. When we explained our concerns and asked whether another room was available, we were met with hostility rather than assistance. Instead of trying to help, the staff refused to offer a solution and made it clear that if we were unhappy, we could leave. As two women traveling alone, being put in that position late at night was completely unacceptable. We ended up having to find another hotel at short notice, costing us an additional €230 on top of the €180 we had already paid. Of course they didn’t even consider the possibility of a refund. What should have been a simple overnight stay turned into a stressful and expensive ordeal. The attitude of the reception staff and management was by far the most disappointing part. Rather than showing any understanding, they were dismissive, rude, and even accused us of being scammers for raising legitimate concerns about privacy and security. The room we received did not match the expectations created by the online listing. The fact that it was directly on street level was never made clear during the booking process, and the photos did not accurately represent what we were given. Between the lack of privacy, the poor treatment from staff, and the complete unwillingness to address our concerns, I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking here.

I loved this cozy room and the suburb, please go to the bars around and enjoy your every night, night life and cafes and galleries are amazing, most attractions are far just for 10 mins, Eiffel tower is 25 mins walk far, 10 mins by bus, style of the hotel is old. if you are obsessed about cleaning and you want 5 stars hotel service, this is a wrong option, this is a cozy friendly 3 stats hotel with a bath tub at the corner if room but best location in paris.

Avoid staying at this hotel. The reading lamp was broken by the bed n hanging down. The door between the shower n toilet scrapped along the floor. Breakfast was expensive n the receptionist did not inform us we had to pay 15 euros. The place is old n needs major rehab n clean up.

People commenting have never visited Paris and/or have never traveled before. I’m generally quite difficult with hotels and this one is really cute, the personal is nice, everything is clean and there is AC (and a silent one). The room I was in was spacious, clean and quiet and the location is one of the best in Paris. Surprise surprise Americans, when you go to France… the TV is French. Was here just for business but loved my stay here and will come back! 🌟

Tips for Choosing the Perfect Hotel near Jardin du Luxembourg

Selecting the right hotel involves more than just comparing nightly rates; it is about matching the property to your travel style and logistical needs. Because the 6th arrondissement is quite compact, even hotels that seem a few blocks away are usually within an easy stroll of the park gates. However, there are several nuances to consider that can significantly enhance your comfort and convenience.

Consider the Direction of Your Room: The streets surrounding the park are generally quiet, but rooms facing the main boulevards, such as Boulevard Saint-Michel, can experience street noise. If you are a light sleeper, request a courtyard-facing room or a room on a higher floor to ensure a peaceful night’s rest.

Check for Air Conditioning: While Paris enjoys a mild climate for most of the year, summer heatwaves are becoming increasingly common. Many historic buildings have been renovated to include modern climate control, but some older boutique hotels still rely on portable fans. If you are visiting between June and September, verify that your chosen hotel offers guaranteed air conditioning.

Leverage the RER B Station: The Luxembourg train station is located directly on the edge of the park. If you are arriving from Charles de Gaulle or Orly airport, choosing a hotel on the southern or eastern side of the park can save you a long taxi ride. It makes the journey from the airport significantly faster and more affordable.

Look Beyond Breakfast Inclusions: While a hotel breakfast is convenient, the area around the park is a culinary playground. You may find better value and authenticity by skipping the hotel buffet and starting your day at a local boulangerie. Grabbing a croissant and coffee to enjoy on a park bench is often cheaper and infinitely more atmospheric.

Understand the "Classic" Room Size: Parisian hotel rooms are notoriously compact, especially in historic Haussmannian buildings. If you are traveling with large luggage or plan to spend significant time relaxing in your room, it is wise to upgrade to a "Superior" or "Deluxe" category to ensure you have enough space to move around comfortably.

Staying near the Jardin du Luxembourg offers a rare opportunity to live like a local in one of Paris’s most prestigious districts. The gentle pace of the gardens provides a beautiful contrast to the bustling energy of the city’s major monuments, allowing you to experience both sides of Parisian life.

No matter which hotel you choose from our list, you are guaranteed a memorable stay defined by elegance, history, and the simple pleasure of a morning walk through one of the world’s most beautiful parks.
