When hunger hits in the heart of Champagne country, the city’s culinary landscape extends far beyond Michelin-starred tasting menus and elegant brasseries. Reims is a vibrant university town where quick, satisfying, and surprisingly high-quality fast food has become an essential part of the local rhythm. Whether you are dashing between the Cathedral and the Palace of Tau or heading out for a night on the Place Drouet d’Erlon, you need a meal that matches your pace without sacrificing flavor.
The definition of "fast food" in France has evolved significantly over the last decade. While American-style burgers remain a staple, the scene is now dominated by homemade sauces, artisanal bread, and high-quality French beef. You are no longer limited to generic chains; instead, you can find local entrepreneurs who treat quick service with the same respect as fine dining, just at a faster tempo.
For the visitor exploring the cobblestone streets or the local student rushing between lectures, convenience is key. However, convenience does not mean compromising on the authentic French obsession with good ingredients. The best spots in Reims balance speed with the culinary standards that the region demands, ensuring that even a quick bite feels like a genuine taste of France.
This curated list focuses on spots that offer consistent quality, fast service, and a true sense of local flavor. From smash burgers with perfectly caramelized edges to halal options and vegan-friendly bites, Reims has a diverse range of options. We have scoured the city center and the surrounding neighborhoods to find the places that locals actually line up for.
Whether you are craving a classic steak haché, loaded fries, or a crispy chicken sandwich, this guide has you covered. We prioritize venues that use fresh produce, offer good value for money, and provide a reliable experience every single time. Get ready to discover the best quick bites the city has to offer.
Here is where you should be eating when you need great food, fast.

I have tried naan supreme and different naan menus. The food is good and has quantity. I also tried chicken wings but it's a little more oily. If you are hungry, then you can have a naan menu at an average cost of 7.5 euro. The service is super and fast.
Lau Melody★★★★★
the chicken is so tender and soft and moist with amazing flavouring. The spicy sauce is also really delicious. the staffs are really nice and helpful! highly recommended!!

This was my first time eating at this chain. The variety on offer was impressive. Better still the price was very reasonable too. The naan bread was fresh and fluffy. Possibly one of the best fast food meals I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommended.

We (a party of 9) went to visit Reims and decided to try this place. Not only was it one of the very few restaurants open on a Sunday, the food was AMAZING! The customer service was outstanding. The owner is super friendly and nice, he even made us his version of a colombian empanada with naan and cheese, super delicious by the way!!! Would definitely go back there!
N P★★★☆☆
The flavor is good but fried chicken is not crunchy at all. Such a big pity!

Call me naive. I thought it would be an interesting experience, "french Tacos". Boy, "interesting" it definitely was. With tacos it doesn't have anything to do, with "french", even less. It's super greasy, unable to determine what is actually inside. My stomach hurted the rest of the day. Do not recommend

It is a good place to dine in with families

Visiting from California, an interesting fusion of concepts with the fry filled burrito but different meats than the traditional Mexican options, along with a number of French sauces, and referred to as a taco. Open late!
Will Cattigan★★★★★
Amazing service! Friendly and helpful, the guy who served us explained the menu in English (!) and then helped us to book a hotel in French! Thank you!

This is French Taco Bell but higher quality. Tasty, great ingredients. Portions are bigger than you expect so don’t go wild ordering!! Definitely recommend.

We ordered there a combo o chicken and steak, and both were delicious, very well done and tender. My 3 and 4 y olds were able to eat it easily and loved it as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
If you like some plain meat options different than hamburgers very nicely done and on a simple and relaxing set without over-complications, this is the place for sure, there are plenty of seats.
The lady who served us was also very friendly. As soon as she noticed that I had some difficulty speaking French, she immediately switched to English and did a great job explaining the menu and the different options.
I will definitely come back the next time I am in Reims.
Courtney Payne★★★★★
Everything was excellent! The chicken was crispy and juicy, the poivre sauce was delicious. Even the salad dressing was great. Highly recommend for a no be frills meal in Reims.
Chahna Gorania★★★★★
We ordered the chicken dishes from the menu and they certainly didn’t disappoint. The chicken was cooked perfectly, incredibly tender, and packed with flavour thanks to the amazing seasoning.
The fries were also delicious and complemented the meal really well. In fact, this ended up being our favourite meal of the entire trip and the best food we had in the region.
The service was excellent throughout, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made the experience even better. We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.
Alexandros Markatis★★★★★
Amazing place for a quick lunch or dinner. I went there late afternoon so there was no waiting line. The staff was super friendly and spoke in English, as my French is not very good (apologies for that). The Irish Angus was tender and nicely salted, the chicken was perfect and the chips hand cut and crispy. Highly recommended place!!

Been wanting to try this restaurant since every time I pass by it's always full of customers. I'm happy we came around lunch time and got their formule which was a complete meal + a choice of drink or dessert for €17.
I'm usually fond of restaurants that specialize only on one thing and La Brigade is one of those. It's a pretty straightforward concept, no frills, fast and an enjoyable dining experience. I got an onglet de bœuf and my husband had a poulet pané. The beef was a bit overcooked than what i ordered but I still enjoyed my experience in the restaurant anyway. The fries were perfectly cooked, they feel like fait maison and not industriL 💖 the roquefort miel and chimi-pesto sauces were delightful and I'm excited to try the other sauces 😊 the framboise pastèque tea and citronnade maison were super good, I highly recommend it! 💖
Our server was very nice and courteous despite a busy lunch service. People were starting to pile up at the cashier and he took the initiative to give us the bill and process our payment at the table.
I'm definitely coming back to try their other offerings 😊💖

Nice place if you’re in the mood for a quick meal. It was pretty good, but nothing extraordinary and more expensive than you would initially think.
Spring rolls are very nice!

In front of the restaurant, many cyclists (food delivery) are parked, talking and waiting. But there are plenty of tables inside.
Nice, attentive service.
Both dishes were large portions and of excellent quality (Chicken Ayutaya and Curry).
Overall, excellent value for money.

Food is good. Better than expected.
Padelis Maganaris★★★★★
The food was very good. The curry was the best out of the 3 dishes we tried. The service is exceptional but the basic setup makes it a better choice for take away.
Katlyn Walthall★☆☆☆☆
We ordered via DoorDash and, while we didn’t have the highest hopes, were completely disappointed with our order.
The “create your own wok” included additional items on it that we didn’t order, both meals were missing sauces that were paid to be added (spicy sauce), and neither meal was at all spicy although both were selected to be the highest spice level.

Okay if you need a quick bite to take out. The curry has an odd taste and wouldn’t recommend that. However, the veggie and chicken bowls were decent. The staff were helpful and service was pretty fast.

We are vegetarian. We ordered the pad thai with tofu and they brought us chicken. When I ate it (!) and insisted ig was chicken they assured me it was tofu. I can guarantee it was chicken (not impressive tasting tofu - chicken). I complained a second time and theg said it was tofu.
Delicious non-veggie food
Rolling Jesus★★☆☆☆
Surprised at all the good reviews the food was really not nice, we're both vegan and really not fussy we'll eat just about anything and we struggled to eat this, the pad Thai was not nice, the vegan chicken is the only thing that saved the dish. The yellow curry tofu rice dish was also not nice at all. Really disappointed by this. But the staff was lovely and helpful
Shane Bradford★★★☆☆
I am always a sucker for Thai, but rarely find anything good. This place had a great location and outdoor seating. Food was terrible: pad Thai? No wonder there were no patrons there. Good luck, I suggest somewhere else.
I love tattoos but my service lady served my food with her arm out stretched: it read” I am going to kill you”. Very sweet!

Decent restaurant and food.
In summer the restaurant was quite hot, they have no air conditioning and all the food is grilled.
The seating is nice, the staff were also nice.
The food was ok, not the best, not very flavourful. The meats were quite dry.

Ordered at 17.43 and had to wait till 18.17 (over 30 minutes!!!) For the food to arrive even though the restaurant was almost empty.
Besides the restaurant looking new and clean the long preparation time severely impacted our road trip duration.
The restaurant did compensate us with 3 sundae ice creams which was a nice gesture.
Nevertheless the food tasted really good and we enjoyed the various chicken dishes we ordered

My children were abused by the security guard whilst trying to find a seat. He then proceeded to attack me upon leaving. The staff seemed lovely and the food was standard issue but be aware of this guy who clearly has issues with dealing with customers. The standard response as expected - clearly don’t want to deal with the issue around how your staff treat customers as I thought would happen but hey you ticked the box by responding 😢 if you cared you may have asked for more information but hey abusing children is ok 👌

We visited this McDonald’s in Reims after a late concert, and it was extremely chaotic and busy. The staff seemed overloaded but were clearly trying their best to keep up with the demand, so I can’t really fault them for small things like forgetting the ice in our drinks after we requested it.
There was a very long queue to order and to get a table. The food was the usual McDonald’s standard, but unfortunately the toilets were out of order and not available, which was disappointing given how busy the place was.

Breakfast was runny egg mcmuffin with half bacon and watery milky coffee. Award for worst McDonald's ever!

Absolutely DISGUSTING.
This is the worst KFC I have ever visited. We ordered two Colonel Original meals and the lettuce was literally rotten. Even the Pepsi tasted expired.
How do you allow food like that to be served to customers? Twenty euros completely wasted.
This place has zero standards and zero respect for people’s health. Never returning and I will make sure everyone I know avoids this filthy location.

Unbearable. They served us cold food. Fried chicken tastes terrible when it’s cold. Have left a written complaint with the manager.

Tips for Enjoying Fast Food in Reims
Navigating the fast-casual scene in a French city comes with its own set of unwritten rules and local nuances. To help you eat like a local and maximize your experience, it helps to understand the rhythm of the city. The following tips will ensure you get the freshest food, avoid long waits, and discover the hidden gems that might not be obvious at first glance.
- Check French Opening Hours: Unlike in some countries where fast food is available all day, many local spots in Reims close between 2:30 PM and 6:30 PM. Always verify the afternoon service hours to avoid showing up to a closed kitchen during the "pause déjeuner" cleanup.
- Order the "Menu" or "Formule": To get the best value, look for the set menu options. Most spots offer a "Formule" that includes a burger or sandwich, a side of fries, and a drink. Ordering items à la carte can often cost significantly more than the bundled price.
- Embrace the Local Sauces: While ketchup and mayo are available, you should try the house-made French sauces. Look for options like sauce au poivre (pepper), sauce tartare, or regional cheese sauces. These are often made in-house and are the true test of a kitchen’s quality.
- Consider Takeaway vs. Dining In: Many popular spots in the city center have limited seating and can get crowded during peak lunch hours (12:00 PM – 1:30 PM). If the weather is nice, grabbing your food to go and eating in the Les Promenades or near the Cathedral can be a much more pleasant experience.
- Don’t Skip the "Artisanal" Chains: While this list focuses on independent spots, France is home to higher-end fast food chains that are worth a visit if you are in a rush. Local bakery chains often serve hot sandwiches on fresh baguettes that rival any burger joint for speed and quality.
The fast food scene in Reims is a testament to the fact that quick service and quality ingredients can coexist beautifully. Whether you opted for a towering double smash burger or a fresh baguette sandwich, eating on the go in this city is always a satisfying experience. It is the perfect way to fuel up for more sightseeing or a long evening of Champagne tasting.
As you plan your culinary journey through the capital of the Champagne region, remember that some of the best memories are made over a simple tray of hot fries and a perfectly cooked burger. Enjoy the flavors, appreciate the speed, and savor the unique atmosphere that makes dining in Reims so special.
