10 Best Shopping Areas Near Jardí del Túria

Jardí del Túria is more than just a park; it is the green artery that winds through the heart of Valencia, repurposed from an old riverbed into a sprawling ribbon of recreation and leisure. Stretching for nearly nine kilometers, this lush escape offers cyclists, runners, and families a shaded path away from the urban noise.

Because the park cuts directly through the city center, it acts as a natural compass for visitors looking to explore the surrounding neighborhoods. Stepping off the walking path at almost any point places you within minutes of Valencia’s most vibrant commercial and cultural districts. This unique geography makes the Turia not just a destination, but a gateway to retail therapy.

The areas bordering the park vary wildly in character, ranging from historic Bohemian enclaves to ultra-modern architectural marvels. Whether you are hunting for high-end fashion, unique vintage finds, or local artisanal crafts, the perimeter of the park has a district tailored to your taste. Understanding which bridge to exit from is key to unlocking the right experience.

Shopping near the Turia is also an exercise in contrast; you can transition from the quiet shade of an orange tree to the buzz of a bustling boutique in seconds. The proximity of these commercial zones allows for a seamless day of mixing leisure with consumer exploration. You can easily cool off in the park between shopping sprees.

For locals, these areas represent the daily rhythm of Valencian life, far from the tourist traps. For visitors, they offer an authentic look at the city’s style, gastronomy, and craftsmanship. Navigating these zones provides a deeper understanding of why Valencia is considered one of Spain’s most livable cities.

This guide focuses on the retail hubs that sit within walking distance of the riverbed, ensuring you never have to wander too far from the green. We have prioritized walkability, variety, and the overall atmosphere to help you plan your itinerary efficiently.

From the historic silk exchange to the sleek boutiques of the Eixample, here are the most rewarding commercial zones located just steps from the park’s edge.

El Saler Shopping Center is a vibrant retail hub in Valencia, featuring a diverse range of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. With its modern architecture and spacious layout, it provides a lively atmosphere for shopping and leisure, making it a popular destination for both locals and visitors. 28/10/2024 - Update after company reply: First of all, it seems your perception about reviews is a bit mistaken. Reviews are not a request for assistance and don't require an answer. Reviews are just an opinion about the company. Furthermore, who said to you that my review was not written by a customer? And if it was really not written by a customer, what's the point? It's the most ridiculous reply I ever got. I'm praising the company and they come to question my review with unfounded claims.

Good location, Good parking and lot's of shops and food possibilities
Vilarejos★★★★☆
El Saler shopping mall is a pleasant place with the kind of shops you can find in almost every shopping mall in Spain, with some different options. The food court has a good variety of restaurants, like any shopping mall. The parking lot is large but a bit confusing. In any case, during peak hours it's difficult to find a parking space. A tip: on holidays, parking is free, so if you want to visit this mall or the City of Arts and Sciences, it's a good parking option and you can still enjoy the mall. The Carrefour in the mall is large and has good prices for being in a mall.

Very nice shopping mall in a very convenient location around different attractions. As tourists, it was within a walking distance from our wonderful hotel, where we able to buy some snacks, dine in and do shopping several times. All services are available such as pharmacy, supermarkets and all essentials. The shopping experience was also nice as they have some nice brands. The mall layout is very smart with natural lighting and semi open air, still you feel cool with the air conditioning coming from the shops. Finally, they have nice view, accessible to wheelchairs and you can park your scooter 🛴 inside the mall.

Very nice salon with super friendly staff! Great first time experience. My stylist RAFFAELLA did an amazing job. I love the cut, color and mask/toner treatment.

Modern outdoor shopping mall just across the Oceanographic Museum. The Spanish normal shops with a good summer sale. Snacks and dining on the top two floors. Good shade even in the heat during siesta time. Maybe not worth traveling for but if you’re around it’s a good place to cool down and get some energy.

Modern shopping center with a good variety of stores, restaurants, and services. Clean, well-maintained, and easy to access. The overall experience was very good, although some areas could benefit from more seating and relaxation spaces.
Oreste Gaspari★★★★☆
Nuevo Centro is a very convenient shopping centre, with plenty of shops, a supermarket and several places to eat both indoors and outside. Being connected to El Corte Inglés makes the whole area even more useful. For us, staying at the Novotel next door, it was perfect for having almost everything within a few minutes’ walk.
Firasat Khan★★★★☆
Excellent shopping centre with lots of food outlet.
J Bradley★★★★☆
Nuevo Centro, situated in Valencia, offers a comprehensive shopping experience with an extensive variety of options. From fashion, food, and dining to music, sports, toys, home goods, jewelry, gifts, accessories, travel, beauty products, footwear, and leisure activities, this mall caters to a wide range of interests and needs. The website is quite informative, providing essential details like opening hours, access information, a store directory, and updates on various events and news related to Nuevo Centro. This makes planning a visit effortless. The diverse range of stores and activities available at Nuevo Centro makes it a great destination for a day out with family or friends. However, the mall can get quite busy during peak hours, so it's best to visit during off-peak times for a more relaxed experience.
William Mustajärvi★★★☆☆
Poor food options, almost only burgers available. The information desk clerk was unkind and no outstanding stores. The main shopping streets offer a better experience.

A great place to find a variety of items, from soil for your plants to nail varnish, tools, and more. Everything is reasonably priced!
Will Torrefiel★☆☆☆☆
Very bad service with customers. I spent over 500 euros for the past 2 years and they definitely lost me as a customer. The reason why? Is they don’t train their staff on selling the right tools or products, bad quality for the price and for the return policy very bad. I had a 3 euro product that I tried and didn’t work right for what I wanted for. I want to purchase a more expensive item plus I was going to spend over 20 euros that day and they refused to exchange the product. I told them very nicely but refused and smiled on my face so I felt very disrespected so I told them it’s the last time I’m spending my money and they didn’t care at all. And the music super load like it’s a disco club and very unprofessional. Don’t spend your hard earned money on bad quality products. I rather spend more money on better quality and better service.

An impressive building, with beautiful mosaic murals and architectural details to see before you go inside for food or drinks. There is a good variety of food available - don’t miss the options downstairs! - and plenty of places for a drink or coffee in the shade. Perfect place to relax for a while and watch the bustle.
Temi Owoeye★★★★★
I really enjoyed my visit to Mercado de Colón in Valencia. The building itself is stunning, that light, airy hall framed by elegant ironwork and colourful ceramic detail made it one of the most beautiful historic spaces I wandered into on my trip. Inside, it feels less like a traditional produce market and more like a lively urban meeting point. I grabbed a coffee, soaked up the relaxed vibe, and watched locals and visitors mix at the cafés and tapas spots. It was the perfect place to pull up a seat, enjoy a glass of horchata and savour the blend of heritage architecture and modern leisure. I recommend.
Doug Ho★★★★★
The Mercat de Colón (Columbus Market) in Valencia is a stunning modernist landmark that has been transformed from a traditional 1916 food market into a premier gastronomic and leisure hub. Located in the upscale L'Eixample district, it is celebrated for its Valencian Art Nouveau architecture—featuring iron, glass, brick, and colourful ceramic mosaics—and serves as a vibrant meeting point for both locals and tourists. The market is renowned for its diverse dining options, ranging from Michelin-star level cuisine to traditional local drinks. Elevated Dining: HABITUAL by Ricard Camarena offers contemporary Mediterranean comfort food on the lower level, known for its creative use of local products. Traditional Horchata: Horchatería Daniel is a must-visit to try Valencia's famous tiger nut milk (horchata) paired with fartons (sweet pastries). Organic & Healthy: Suc de Lluna BioCafé provides organic, vegan, and vegetarian-friendly options, including healthy tapas and fresh juices. Asian Fusion: Ma Khin Café blends Asian flavours with Mediterranean ingredients for a unique culinary experience. Tapas & Drinks: Mi Cub is popular for its outdoor terrace and traditional tapas, while Las Cervezas del Mercado offers a wide selection of international and local craft beers. The address is Carrer de Jorge Juan, 19, 46004 València. Hours: Daily from 7:30 AM to 2:00 AM or 3:00 AM (individual establishments have their own specific schedules). How to Get There: Metro: Lines 3 and 5 (Colón station). Bus: Multiple lines including 8, 10, 13, 18, 30, 32, 40, 93, 94, C1, and C2.
Melissa & Jamie★★★★★
Visited Mercado Colón and ended up spending much longer there than expected. The building itself is beautiful and there’s a great mix of cafés restaurants and places to grab a drink. It has a really relaxed atmosphere and was a nice place to take a break while exploring the city.
Timothy Cargal★★★★☆
May 2026 Update: During our visit on May 11, most of the lower level business were closed apparently due to remodeling. Options here will be more limited than earlier reviews suggest for the time being. The main level is fully open.

Very large mall and beautiful to walk around especially during the holidays as it is nicely decorated. It combines indoor and outdoor sections nicely and has many restaurants, stores, a theater and even an arcade and bowling area. Along with an “outlet village” which is like a village made up of outlet stores, jumpyard, some other large businesses located within the malls area and some spread out restaurants. These places aren’t in the main area of the mall, but are in the overall Bonaire mall area. However, difficult to reach by public transport. No metro and bus comes every 30 min. Long ride if you live in center of city. Also the whole mall essentially shuts down on Sunday with access allowed but only a few stores are actually open. Besides that, nice mall

I was a bit disappointed, to be honest. I visited during what I heard was a promotional period, but I didn’t really find the great deals I was expecting. Most of the prices seemed pretty normal, and there wasn’t a huge selection either. Maybe I just went at the wrong time, but for an outlet, I expected better discounts and more variety. Overall, it was okay, just not worth the hype in my experience.

I go to Bonaire pretty often, really like it. It’s big, open air, nice to walk around. Lots of shops and boutiques, you can find pretty much everything. Good place to come with family, kids have stuff to do too. Parking is big, usually no problem to find a spot. Overall just a nice place to spend some time and do shopping.

Huge area for everything you need/ want. Lots of brand shops for clothes and not only. You can find also a huge Decathlon and also outlet shops from various brands. You can eat here as there are a set of food area, also you can just have fun as there is a transport cable and other type of fun area/ games room.

When you are planning to visit Valencia, Spain 🇪🇸 just park your car and have a wonderful shopping 🛍 experience in Centró Comercial Bonaire. After reaching there, you can have wonderful pictures and after visiting the wide variety of shops you can have wonderful treat for your eyes at night watching the water fountain ⛲️. The shopping complex has eye-catching structure and thousands of different shops, restaurants, cafes, and luxury brands. The endless walking is a great workout for anyone the comes here and will take some time to explore and check all the things out. It was a nice visit and will repeat again.

Beautiful mall. Lots of clothes. A wide selection of watches. A man's kingdom.

They have a small selection of Hot Wheels on the top floor, but it's mostly older stock. It doesn't seem like they receive regular deliveries, so if you're specifically looking for Hot Wheels, it's probably not worth making a special trip here unless you have some time to spare. If you do have extra time, it's still worth taking a quick look—you might get lucky.

This store has everything .. Quality for sure, pricing and bit higher, but location is fantastic. Check out tills are a little tight and entrance into the building with carry on cart is kinda of a pain, not as simple as going to a regular supermarket. I give it 4.6 stars.

Tips for Shopping Near Jardí del Túria

To make the most of your retail journey around the park, it helps to understand the local customs and timing. Shopping in Valencia is a leisurely affair, often punctuated by coffee breaks and long lunches, and the layout of the Turia can be used strategically to avoid traffic and heat. Here is how to navigate these districts like a local.

Plan around the Spanish timetable. Most independent boutiques and smaller shops close for a siesta between roughly 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Use this downtime to grab a long lunch or rest in the shade of the Turia before the shops reopen for the evening rush.

Use the bridges as landmarks. The Turia is crossed by numerous historic and modern bridges, each acting as a distinct exit point. For example, the Pont de l’Exposició leads you toward the upscale Eixample, while the Pont de Fusta takes you into the alternative vibe of El Carme. Memorizing these crossing points will save you time.

Wear comfortable walking shoes. While the districts are close to the park, the cumulative distance of browsing can be significant. The park’s paths are soft and forgiving, but the surrounding shopping streets are often paved with hard stone or tile, so footwear that works for both terrains is essential.

Bring a reusable water bottle. Valencia is hot for much of the year, and the park provides drinking fountains along the route. Staying hydrated allows you to carry your purchases comfortably and browse longer without needing to stop constantly at cafes.

Look for local designers, not just global brands. The areas near the Turia, particularly Russafa and El Carme, are filled with independent artisans selling leather goods, ceramics, and fashion that you cannot find anywhere else. Prioritize these stores for unique souvenirs that support the local economy.

Combine shopping with cultural stops. To avoid retail fatigue, intersperse your shopping with visits to landmarks like the IVAM museum or the Fine Arts Museum, both of which border the park. This breaks up the day and gives you a richer experience of the neighborhood’s history.

By following these tips, you can turn a simple shopping trip into a full day of exploration that flows naturally with the rhythm of the city. The beauty of shopping near the Turia is that you never feel trapped in a concrete mall; the green space is always right there waiting to offer a moment of respite.

As the sun begins to set, the areas surrounding the park take on a golden hue, and the terraces fill with locals unwinding after a day of work. This is the perfect time to drop off your bags and enjoy a glass of horchata or a local wine, reflecting on the unique finds you have gathered.

Ultimately, the shopping areas near Jardí del Túria offer a blend of convenience and character that is rare in major European cities. By using the park as your central corridor, you can experience the best of Valencia’s retail scene while maintaining a connection to the natural beauty that defines the city.
