Really enjoyed this café, with a view of the Alhambra! It is authentic, simple, local cuisine. We went for the goat cheese/jam toast, tuna toast and the torilla de patatas sandwich. They all did not disappoint, that we finished everything. The service was very friendly and chill. When I go back to Granada, I will definitely come back!

Absolutely loved this place - we got the jamon/manchego/tomato and blackberry sandwiches and both were delicious. The orange juice and chai latte were also amazing.
Our waiter was so friendly and the setting was beautiful. Would definitely eat here again

We stumbled up on this cute café nearby our accommodations. As others have mentioned, this spot is cash only. The restaurant is small. It has bar seating inside and a few tables outside. We did have to wait a short time for a table outside, which had a lovely ambience and view. The breakfast specials were also delicious, and they came a fresh orange juice. I got the high fiber muesli with yogurt and topped with honey and cinnamon that they brought to the table.
Zoë Swiderski★★★★★
Great little café with a good choice of breakfast toasts and granola with very reasonable pricing. Even had PG tea which was a bonus. Superb view of the Alhambra from the tables outside. Service was very friendly. A superb place for a stop.

Good food at fair prices. Sandwiches: potato omelette, salmon cream cheese, and goat cheese eggplant were tasty. Carrot cake excellent. Coffee average (bitter espresso shots). Outdoor seating uncomfortable (on a slope). Waiting times long on busy street. Staff very friendly. Vegetarian friendly.

It’s a really good restaurant especially for a breakfast and brunch. We’ve ordered their brunch set for 2 person (33€)it includes two coffees, two smoothies, two sandwiches and one cake.
Coffee was good but unfortunately they didn’t have a batch brew which I prefer.
Smoothies were great same as sandwiches.
I really recommend this one with a truffle scrambled eggs.
And a brownie cheesecake was delicious.

Absolutely loved this place! We came back for brunch because we enjoyed it so much the first time, and it was just as good again. The food is fresh, delicious and really well prepared, and their fresh orange juice is honestly something different — one of the best we’ve had!
A special mention to David, who is incredibly friendly, welcoming and genuinely makes you feel looked after. The whole atmosphere is relaxed and lovely, and we had a great experience as a family.
If you’re visiting Granada and looking for a great breakfast or brunch, this is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!

The charming café, with its rustic, industrial, and warm atmosphere, invites you to relax.
The food was a highlight: the ingredients used are noticeably fresh and of high quality. The creative offerings include freshly made sandwiches, baguettes, yogurt bowls, and fresh waffles – far from the standard, with versatile combinations.
The coffee is also outstanding: they serve select, delicious coffees that make the perfect start to the day.
Our visit was rounded out by the very friendly and attentive service, who were always helpful and made us feel welcome.
In conclusion: This café is a real insider tip and the ideal place in Granada for a relaxed breakfast and brunch. We will definitely be back!

Cozy little coffee shop with comfortable seating area. We had a brunch of salmon/avocado plate, salmon sandwich and a cinnamon bun. Accompanied by great tasting, freshly brewed coffee. The atmosphere was relaxing and soothing. Didn’t feel any undertone of tension or being rushed at all. The staff were very nice and friendly.

I went here with my husband and we really enjoyed our late breakfast. We had a toast with avocado and eggs and another one with salmon and avocado. I loved the bread and how filling it was.

Cute little breakfast place. Even though we were in Spain, I liked the bluegrass and folk music they were playing (Steeldrivers and John Fogerty). We got coffee, of coursens which was good. We also got a banana-strawberry-blueberry smoothie which was great, with no added sugar. Then we got traditional tostadas, one with marmalade/butter and the other with salmon/cream cheese. Delicious.
Service was good and very friendly. They had a problem with their dishwasher but hand washed a few to accommodate us. Much appreciated.

Looking for the best breakfast in Granada? Café D’Santo was one of our favorite breakfast spots in Spain. Great coffee, fresh bread, real protein options, and friendly service.
After several days of pastries and sightseeing, we were craving eggs and a solid breakfast. My husband ordered the brunch special with a croissant sandwich filled with turkey and cheese, two fried eggs, fresh squeezed orange juice, a yogurt bowl, and a choice of a crepe or chocolate croissant. He turned the eggs and croissant into a breakfast sandwich and immediately declared it a great decision. 😂
The yogurt bowl was packed with fresh berries, nuts, and seeds. My son and I ended up sharing most of it because it was that good. I ordered the scrambled eggs with spinach and bread, and everything tasted fresh and homemade.
The caramel latte macchiato was excellent, and the fresh orange juice was exactly what we needed before another day of exploring Granada.
Pro tip: Ask for the salsa picante. It’s flavorful, not overpowering, and pairs perfectly with the eggs.
If you’re searching for a great brunch, quality coffee, fresh squeezed juice, or a protein-packed breakfast in Granada, Café D’Santo is an easy recommendation.

Had an awesome breakfast here! We saw all the great reviews online and definitely weren’t disappointed.
We came in on a Saturday morning and were pleasantly surprised that there was no wait. We ordered eggs with spinach, a sugar crêpe, a yogurt bowl to share, and two large coffees. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the total came to under €20, which felt like good value value.
Great food, friendly service, a really nice atmosphere, and excellent prices. One of the best-value breakfasts we’ve had on our trip. Definitely recommend!

Cafetería d’Sano is a lovely spot in Granada for a fresh, healthy breakfast or brunch. We ordered two yogurt bowls (one berry and one banana), both packed with fruit and topped with oats, plus a pancake that was just as generous and satisfying.
We also had two glasses of freshly squeezed orange juice, which tasted bright and natural — so good that we went back again the next morning for breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the whole experience relaxed and welcoming.

The bread was really old, chewy and not enough. You pay for four slices of Avocado 1,20 €. The eggs and the avocado doesn’t taste fresh. The coffee ist okey.
Not generous. Not fresh. I am disappointed! I don’t know how this cafe got a 4,8 Stars!
I am normally generous with the reviews i give but I couldn’t give more than a star!!
By the way the look is way much better than it taste.

They have some of the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had! The crepes, scrambled eggs, and yogurt bowl were all really delicious too. The cafe is nice, clean and cozy. The employees were all very friendly. They seemed a little short-staffed considering how many customers they had. Listen, it’s Spain…you won’t get your coffees right away. Just a suggestion - hazelnut flavor for the lattes would be really nice! We will definitely return!

Last night at Alhambra Palace was our first time visiting, and it was such a beautiful experience. The service was amazing, the food was delicious, and the view from the terrace felt absolutely magical. Definitely a place we’d come back to — there was so much romance in the air ✨❤️
A S★☆☆☆☆
The experience of dinner on the terrace was made lovely mostly by the location, the decor and spectacular sunset views alas the food was a let down and the service also lacklustre.
Cutlery and napkins are dumped rather unceremoniously on the table rather than placed per diner- something quite at odds with what would expect at a restaurant of such a hotel.
The gazpacho was the highlight but even then, with great ingredients, I’ve often made better at home!
The lowlight was the slow cooked lamb shoulder- greasy, stringy and just boiled in milk with no seasoning whatsoever…. There was supposed to be ras-al-hanout in this dish somewhere but a little crumble decorating the circumference of the dish was woefully inadequate. My husband and mum who chose this dish were struggling to eat it. The accompaniment of basic french fries and nothing else just made this pitiful dish more so. My fillet mignon was supposed to have truffle somewhere but again it was missing. The meat was ok but again, so easy to find better.
The desserts, again, nothing special. The burnt basque style cheesecake was too dense and cloying.
Beautiful views, beautiful hotel but let down massively by the poor quality food.

I stopped by the restaurant at this hotel near the Alhambra just for an affogato, and I was truly blown away by how stunning everything was. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the view from the terrace over Granada is absolutely breathtaking.
It’s the kind of place where you just want to pause and take it all in. I highly recommend visiting, even if just for a coffee or dessert, to enjoy the incredible scenery.
Yes, the prices reflect the five-star setting, but the experience is truly worth it 😍😍😍

I visited Bonnevie today and the cold brew was absolutely amazing! It was beautifully brewed, and they clearly use high-quality beans. The barista mentioned their origin is Brazil.
I didn't get to try the desserts this time, but they looked beautiful. It is also a very suitable spot for anyone looking for halal-friendly options.
The atmosphere is incredible. The staff member who helped me was very polite, had the most wonderful, warm smile, and made me feel so welcome. A truly lovely place!

Such a nice and cozy place. We went for a coffee and an orange juice.
I got an iced coffee with condenced milk, I think it’s called a “Canari” or a “Spanish latte…” Im not sure, but it was really good!

The most soulful cafe around.
With its uniquely charming and engaging atmosphere, delicious offerings, and warm and accommodating hospitality you can't miss this one.
If you're fortunate enough to find yourself on the pedestrian streets of Albaicín, find your way to the aptly named Bonnevie.
Despite being situated below street level, the space is graced by plenty of beautiful natural light along with warm interior accent lighting. The decor is both open and airy while retaining earthy warmth and character.
The cappuccino and croissant I enjoyed there were absolute perfection. But it was the lovely energy of the space that fed my soul as I prepared to tour the astonishing Nasrid Palaces.
After finishing my croissant downstairs, I took my remaining cappuccino upstairs to sit outside and take in the pageant of daily life on the ancient streets of this delightful neighborhood.
Indoors and out, this place is a welcome oasis in the hustle and bustle of the city, and great spot for discerning palates.
With great coffee, food, hospitality, and ambiance all available here, why look further?

BonneVie is one of my all-time favorite coffee shops in Granada. From the coffee, Chai, matcha, and other drinks on the menu, its impossible to go wrong. The baked pastries are delicious and I always get an empanada for the road. This is my New York city in Granada shop. It is such a beautiful mix of international amd cultural intersections, I feel like it holds a romantic energy and an urban experience all in one. The staff are lovely, the owners are really good people, and honestly, you just need to go and see for yourself. I love BonneVie so much.

Sitting on the bench outside the entrance, my skin feels the soft breeze. Voices from the candy shop across the way float my way. Under the branches of the small olive tree I taste three chocolate, pistachio, and honey baklava delights. I’m thankful for the cold brew, served in a weighty glass that reminds me of home.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We stopped by Alhambra Churrería on a Friday night after dinner for dessert, and it was a great way to end the evening.
As a Mexican, I’m probably a little picky about churros. I’d give these a 7.5/10 compared to the churros I’m used to, but they were still very good. The churros were fresh with good flavor, and the hot chocolate wasn’t overly sweet or heavy, which I appreciated.
There were four of us, and one order was plenty to share after dinner. The real highlight for us was the location. We sat outside on the patio overlooking the plaza, enjoyed the cool evening breeze, and watched people stroll through the square. It felt like one of those simple travel moments that ends up being a favorite memory.
Pro tip: If you’ve just finished dinner in Granada and want a traditional dessert, one order is enough for several people to share.
A nice spot for churros and chocolate in Granada, especially if you can grab a table outside and enjoy the atmosphere of the plaza.

DON’T BOTHER!
Mediocre churros, bad food and cosmic prices.
Ordered a starter and two meals, the croquettes were ok, but the Dog fish chunks were not edible with very strong sour taste. There was no garnish whatsoever, it looked like they were tossed in the plate straight from the deep fryer. The peppers stuffed with cod were covered in an excuse for a béchamel sauce doing bad job masking the bad flavour of the fish. Had two dirty glasses of wine which was I presume the cheapest one they could get and upsell. Churros were nothing special served with not chocolate (the drink) which was not the thick consistency of what churros are normally served with.
Worse part of it was the price, prices for starters and main meals are pretty much the same (€16-€18). The whole “experience” costed us nearly €80 which is the most we have payed for a meal in our entire trip in Andalusia.
Service was poor with waiters not speaking very good English which isn’t a big issue, but the whole table service personal just didn’t seem to hold any standard in quality of service.
Would not recommend,

Interesting dessert,
Churros + chocolate sauce
And we ordered cappuccino (quite pricy for Spain cafe) ☕️ to go with it
Hmmm 🤨 it’s basically deep fried 油條+巧克力
But didn’t like the chocolate sauce that much 😛
Hahaa think the dessert isn’t supper for me🤭🤭

Great spot for churros. We thought this was the best one we had so far in Granada! The churros aren’t too dense/heavy, and the chocolate dip has a good consistency and sweetness to it. The bombón coffee is a good one to try if you’re into sweet things.

Essential Tips for Finding the Perfect Breakfast
Navigating the breakfast culture in a Spanish city requires a little local knowledge to ensure you get the best experience possible. While spontaneity is fun, knowing the unwritten rules of dining times and menu terminology can save you from settling for a mediocre tourist trap. Here is how to eat like a local and find the meals that are worth waking up for.
Understand the Local Timing
Breakfast in Spain often runs later than in other parts of Europe or North America. While many cafes open early for workers needing a quick coffee, the prime brunch hours typically kick off around 10:30 AM and can stretch until 1:00 PM. If you arrive too early, you might find a limited menu; arriving too late might mean missing out on the freshest pastries.
Look for "Tostada con Tomate"
If you want to eat like a local, skip the sugary cereals and look for this staple. It consists of toasted bread, often rustic and crusty, rubbed with fresh garlic and ripe tomato, then drizzled with high-quality olive oil and a pinch of salt. It is simple, healthy, and the true taste of Andalusian mornings.
Check for Fresh Orange Juice
The region is famous for its citrus, and a good breakfast spot will proudly squeeze their oranges on-site. If you see a juicer behind the counter and the word "natural" on the menu, you are in the right place. Avoid places that only offer bottled juice, as they often cut corners on the rest of the menu too.
Venture Off the Main Square
Restaurants located directly adjacent to major tourist attractions often rely on foot traffic rather than repeat customers, which can lead to higher prices and lower quality. Walk a few blocks away from the main tourist arteries. The best hidden gems are usually found on quiet residential streets where the clientele is primarily local residents.
Observe the Crowd
A busy restaurant is usually a good restaurant. If you see a terrace full of Spanish families and groups of friends chatting loudly over their plates, that is a strong indicator of fresh food and fair prices. Conversely, an empty restaurant during peak hours is often a warning sign to keep walking.
Don’t Skip the "Café con Leche"
While specialty lattes are popular, the traditional Spanish coffee is an experience in itself. It is equal parts strong espresso and hot milk, usually served in a glass. It pairs perfectly with a sweet pastry or a savory tostada and offers a more authentic caffeine kick than imported coffee chains.
As the sun climbs higher over the red-tiled rooftops, the energy of the city begins to settle into the rhythm of the afternoon. Having a satisfying breakfast or brunch is more than just a meal here; it is an introduction to the pace of life that makes this area so beloved.
Whether you chose a plate of crispy churros or a perfectly executed eggs benedict, the goal is to feel energized and content. The best memories of a trip are often made in these quiet moments of indulgence before the day’s adventures begin.
Take your time, savor the flavors, and let the warmth of the hospitality set the tone for the rest of your day exploring the wonders of the city. With this guide in hand, you are well-equipped to navigate the culinary scene and eat exceptionally well.
