12 Best Cheap Hotels in Toulouse

Toulouse may be known as “La Ville Rose” for its terracotta brick facades and its position at the heart of the European aerospace industry, but you do not need a first-class budget to enjoy it. Whether you are visiting to tour the Airbus facilities, studying at one of the universities, or simply passing through on a road trip through the Occitanie region, the city offers a surprisingly diverse range of affordable accommodation.

Finding a cheap hotel in Toulouse does not mean you have to sacrifice comfort or location. Many budget-friendly properties sit within walking distance of the iconic Place du Capitole, the Garonne riverbanks, or the efficient Metro system. The key is knowing which neighborhoods offer the best value for money without leaving you stranded far from the action.

The local hotel market has evolved significantly in recent years, blending traditional French hospitality with modern, efficient designs. From no-frills chains that focus on a great night’s sleep to charming independent establishments with character, there is a bed for every type of traveler. Many of these options also include amenities like free Wi-Fi and breakfast deals, helping you stretch your euros further.

However, prices in Toulouse can fluctuate dramatically depending on the season and local events. During major trade fairs or the summer festival season, even budget rooms can spike in price. Booking ahead and being flexible with your dates are essential strategies for securing the lowest possible rate in this bustling southern metropolis.

To help you navigate the options, we have analyzed guest reviews, location scores, and overall value propositions to compile a list of reliable and affordable stays. These selections prioritize properties that consistently deliver cleanliness, safety, and convenience without the hefty price tag.

Below, you will find a curated selection of the best budget-conscious hotels in Toulouse, followed by essential money-saving tips for your stay.

Nice hotel , friendly staff , wàs so cheap I came here instead of camping , large free car park , and McDonald's on the same road for food.

Excellent location, burger king and mc Donald's nearby. Great free secure parking available. Breakfast buffet is fantastic, croissants are good !

Awful hotel. Rooms dirty. Air con unit broken and leaking brown fluid down the wall / door onto the floor. Bathroom dirty. Corridors and stairs smelled disgusting - maybe sewage or worse. Fire alarm at 5am - false alarm that staff could not fix. Not their fault. Clearly untrained and that is the fault of the F1 company, not the individual employees. They were doing their best. Would never stay here again. Left at 6am because there was no point going back to bed.

The Worst Hotel I’ve Ever Stayed In Absolutely Disgusting I cannot emphasize enough how horrendous my stay at F1 Hotel L'Union in Toulouse was. This place is beyond filthy, badly managed, and completely unacceptable. If I could rate it zero stars, I would. Unfriendly, Unbothered Staff The moment I arrived, I could tell this hotel was going to be a nightmare. The staff couldn’t care less about the guests. No welcome, no basic courtesy, nothing. Every interaction with them felt like I was bothering them, and they responded with cold, uninterested attitudes. It was clear that customer service is nonexistent here. Filthy, Disgusting Rooms As soon as I stepped into my room, the stench of uncleanliness hit me immediately. The condition of the room was downright disgusting: Pubic hairs in the sink and on the bed—as if the room hadn’t even been cleaned before my arrival. Old, stained sheets and blankets with cigarette burn marks completely revolting and unacceptable. Cobwebs in the corners of the room which told me that this place hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. Defective, noisy doors every time someone opened or closed a door, it made a horrible screeching noise. I felt like I was in a cheap, abandoned hostel that had been neglected for years. The idea of sleeping on that bed was so disgusting that I considered leaving and finding another hotel. The Showers Were an Absolute Horror Show If the rooms were already horrifying, the communal showers were a whole new level of disgusting. First of all, the fact that the showers are shared is already a big negative, but the way they were maintained or rather, NOT maintained was absolutely revolting: The walls were covered in mold, black and slimy, as if they had never been properly scrubbed. The floor was filthy, covered in dirt and suspicious stains. I wouldn’t even walk barefoot in there if my life depended on it. It reeked of urine the second I stepped inside, I was hit with the overwhelming stench of piss and damp mold. It was absolutely nauseating. The drains were clogged— tanding water pooled around my feet while showering, which only made me feel dirtier. No privacy or comfort the whole experience was just awkward, unhygienic, and downright disturbing. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if someone caught a skin infection from using these showers. That’s how disgusting they were. The Only "Good" Thing? The Location (But Even That Doesn't Help) The only positive thing about this place is that it's in a quiet area, and there wasn't any outside noise. But let's be honest—who cares if it's quiet when you're sleeping in filth and showering in piss-stinking, moldy stalls? Final Verdict: STAY AWAY I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone even if it were the last available place in the city. The filthy, unmaintained rooms, disgusting communal showers, and uninterested staff make this the absolute worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. If you care about hygiene, comfort, or even basic human decency, do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. I regret ever stepping foot in this place. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Dirty, mold on walls, bed bugs!!!!, everything broken(lights/usb chargwrs/showers) beds not done(must make bed yourself) smelly dirty hotel. Never again🤮🤮🤮

Would readily stay here again. Helpful, friendly staff and a short walk to the main area of Toulouse. And just a few minutes from great coffee and tasty pastries. 🙂 Some bits of the room might benefit from a little touch-up paint, but overall clean and comfortable. Great shower.

Excellent value. Very quiet. Very lovely members of staff. I would recommend. Felt safe to stay in as a solo female traveller. You don’t get a key but just a combination code so you don’t need to worry about locking yourself out. I didn’t see anyone the whole time on the corridors and only shared the lift a few times. I didn’t have breakfast but it seems possible. It is worth noting that they won’t let you check in at all early, not even 30 minutes. It is a budget hotel and you get what you pay for but it has everything that is necessary!
Mohamed Moussa★★★★☆
Good atmosphere in general.. the reception staff were very helpful. But area of improvement on the breakfast menu and qaulity hygien of served fruits, some were rotten. Location is not bad, next to la gare and a small carrefour too
Alessandra Quirici★★★★☆
Clean and spacious, yet simple, room, plenty of parking although not very intuitive, as you need to go inside and ask for the key before being able to park (and not leaving your car in the middle of the parking lot). Friendly professional staff. Dog friendly

This hotel falsely advertises that it has air conditioning. In actuality the hotel disabled air conditioning to all its rooms because the weather was deemed "not hot enough". However it was a hot in toulouse on the day of our booking. Furthermore, customers could not open a windows in their rooms as well. SCAM IN THE NAME OF SAVING THE PLANET! When we arrived to check in, there was already an elderly couple begging the hotel staff for conditioning...they were of course denied such essential accommodations as well.

Fantastic value! Room was spotless, bed comfortable and the shower pressure was better than my own house. We didn’t have a chair and table on the balcony and the lovely lady at reception immediately got us some and brought them straight to us. We were also able to leave our luggage in storage for the day at no charge. Cannot fault it!
Vriona Mihalouros★★★★★
Nice hotel, comfortable beds, clean and very good location. Some thoughts to be considered: servicing the rooms should be conducted daily at no charge not weekly or for an extra price of €10. The breakfast should have a wider selection and should vary (after 10 days it became very boring). A huge thank you to the night receptionist Mr. Karim Abdelhak who was always willing to assist us and answer any questions we had. Thank you Karim keep up the great work, you are a true asset to this hotel.

Nice, basic hotel. Clean and not expensive. My son will be attending university there soon as an exchange student, so I took him to see Toulouse beforehand. Friendly staff on reception, quiet street, but a lot of walking. Ubers are easy to get. Room has everything you need, if a little small. One lamp at my bed was not working, but I would stay again for the price and location when I go to visit my son. No food is served, so be prepared to buy food for your fridge for breakfast. We also ordered takeaways. Overall, I felt safe and welcomed. Budget-friendly and is a good hotel for a few nights.

Stayed there for a night on a solo trip, This hotel does what it says on the tin. It was clean, quiet and had all the basic amenities a usual traveller would need at this price point. The staff was a highlight of my stay. They were all really lovely and helpful.

My husband stayed here for two weeks on 2 seperate occasions when he visited as a student. I joined him for 4 nights and can vouch for the fact that the stay here meets all the basic requirements and is very comfortable. Do not hesitate to book here. The walk to the city centre is not more than 35 minutes and many other amenities available close by

Great for the money. Just down the road from the station. Make sure you get the door code and check when it changes! Reception staff speak English which was helpful. I was super happy 😁

The rooms can be a bit small, but its good value and in an older building. Everything was very clean and the air-con worked really well. The reception staff could not be nicer and the location next to the station and within 5-10 minutes of Victor Hugo market and town centre is brilliant. A really good base to investigate this lovely city.

I kept my luggage here for only 5 euro per bag, for one day. The security is pretty good - in a separate room, they put a tag with a number on it and had me take a picture, then when I came for pickup they checked my number before I retrieved it. At the same time I felt like I shouldn’t keep anything really valuable in there because anyone grabbing their bag could just get it. The woman at the front desk was really kind and let me use the toilet!
Sadhna VJ★★★★★
Great location. Not a fancy place. Looks a bit run down. But ok for a short visit.
Leonor Pais Clemente★☆☆☆☆
I had the misfortune of staying at this hotel, and it was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. Within just 5 minutes of entering the room by night, I found a total of 7 bed bugs crawling around on the bed, walls, and even the furniture. It was absolutely disgusting. I immediately informed the staff, they didn't seem surprised at all, which makes me think this is a recurrent problem. They offered to change rooms or a total refund. The staff is nice and the hotel is near the train station.

Wonderful staff on reception. Rooms are a great size and well equipped with oven, microwave, kettle, fridge and toaster. There is no AC though and only one door opening onto the balcony so airflow is an issue. The location is decent, next to the river and 15 minutes walk to the centre. Breakfast was lovely, a nice selection of cold options.
Mykola Viunytskyi★☆☆☆☆
The place is well located, many local attractions nearby. We arrived at 13:30, half an hour before check-in, the door was closed and there was no one at the reception, at 13:50 an employee came and gave us the key to the room. The room was clean and spacious. But there are a lot of problems...the sockets are occupied by heaters. There are no curtains on the windows, the light is disturbing during the day. The bathroom has problems with the installation of the toilet, it is installed very high and turned towards the shower cabin and it is impossible to sit! The shower does not open well and it feels like it will fall apart now. We booked a late checkout, on the reception told us that on Sunday it would be possible to stay until 2:00 PM. But in fact, at 12:00 PM, the cleaner came and started telling us that he needed to clean now and we had to vacate the room, we said that we had booked a late check-out. After that, he left, but after 15 minutes, a receptionist came and said that we had to leave the room at 1:00 PM. We said that we had a late check-out until 2:00 PM, but he said “not, until 1:00 PM” otherwise he will call the police and the hotel will not return our 100 euro deposit. If we had known, we would not have paid 25 euros for a late check-out. Just a terrible situation… I do not recommend this hotel!!
Catherine C★★★★★
Decent place for a good price. Room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable, shower had good heat and pressure, and there was a kitchenette and fridge. Easy check in and check out, sleeping hours were quiet, and it's close enough to walk to the city center but not be in the noisy part of town.
Chris Markham★★★★☆
I have stayed at this location on 5 previous occasions, and normally I would have given my usual 5 star rating. However on this occasion I am only giving 4 stars because of the breakfast. Croissants and pastries are an essential part of the French breakfast. However when you are served with old, dry, and nearly stale pastries as part of the otherwise overall good breakfast, it's just not good enough. Yes, the breakfast is good value for money, but whatever you eat should also be edible. All other aspects of my stay were excellent.
Jerry Guo★★★★★
The service is magnificent. All the front desk staff are nice. One of the front desk staff, Lisa, is super helpful with guiding how to maximize the experience in Toulouse. Merci à tous !

Good price, very friendly staff, available 24/7, so late check-in is also possible. Perfect location right in front of the train station for early trains. The neighborhood felt safe. I stayed in an economy room (not yet fully renovated), but everything was clean, functional, and decent. I was on the top floor and didn't notice any noise from the trainstation. I would definitely book the same room again if I returned to Toulouse.
Mary Turner★★★★☆
Uninspiring lobby and small rooms are offset by very comfortable beds, bedding especially pillows and great hot water. AC is fabulous and one TV station (channel 24) in English. No sitting area really albeit a small desk. There is a hot water kettle, instant coffee and mugs. Real joys! Although we thought breakfast might be tragic it was rather good with nice baguettes, ham and cheese slices, boiled eggs, fruits, coffee and juices. Replenished quickly. Dining area tight but doable. All in all a good deal. Great location for buses and trains and getting to old town. The tight room space is why there is a 4 rating versus a 5.
Stephen Dixon★★★★★
My first room was small, clean but with limited facilities. My second room was very good. It was modern with appliances. It had a great shower. The beds in both rooms were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good. All on all I had a great stay and would stay here again in the future.

We went to a nearby hotel on the first two nights then when we came back to Toulouse we decided to stay at Hotel D’orsay. Well, it was chalk and cheese about how much better this hotel was. The rooms were better, larger, the reception staff were excellent and this hotel includes a beautiful breakfast. It is right opposite the rail station. We will stay here again

Great service. Air conditioning. All you can drink water station including carbonated water and coffee station. Clean and bright. Convenient , located right across the train station. Breakfast for the family included for an additional 10$ euro. Staying in the room for 3. A king bed and a single bed, not just a sofa bed. Great room and layout for a parent traveling with kids.

On the first night, I was unable to sleep because of the noise. At around 5 a.m., I went to reception and explained what was happening. I was told that I would be moved to another room the following day. The following morning, I was moved to a room on the floor below. However, the noise was still there, although it was slightly less intense. When I went to reception again, I was told that the noise was coming from the hotel next door. I then asked whether they really considered this an acceptable explanation when the noise was so loud that it prevented guests from sleeping, particularly at 5 a.m. Their response was that they did not know. I was left with the impression that they knew perfectly well what was going on but were simply unwilling to acknowledge the problem. What I find most unacceptable is that, after I had left the first room because of the noise, it was given to other guests on that very same day. In other words, the hotel appears to continue assigning rooms which it knows have a noise problem that prevents guests from getting a proper night's sleep. The second room, despite being on a lower floor, did not really solve the problem either. The result was four nights of extremely poor sleep, both for me and for the persons staying with me. My overall impression is therefore very negative: this hotel shows a worrying lack of consideration for its guests' right to rest and, above all, a lack of willingness to address a problem which appears to be well known to them.
Muki Haklay★★★★☆
Very good inexpensive hotel, just across the street from the main station. The hotel got a whole set of rooms in the inner courtyard which are quiet. Easy to find breakfast in the nearby streets. Staff very helpful. Good air condition.

stayed here because i needed a place in toulouse and this was the cheapest option (still quite expensive for a shared room). i’m a bit torn writing this because i actually really liked the hotel and i think if i had a private room it would have been a 5 star experience. the staff were very accommodating, i could leave my backpack for free before check-in which is quite late. they also offer free coffee or tea in the lobby which is very convenient. the decor feels modern and comfortable and the location is great, close to the train station, the city centre and the metro. unfortunately there was one unpleasant situation. i was staying in a shared room which itself was nice and quiet, and the bathroom was inside which was convenient. it looked like my other roommates were two men, which made me a bit uncomfortable but i didn’t think much of it since i was only there for one night. however, during the night there were some very uncomfortable moans and noises coming from the bed below me and it became clear what was going on. it made me feel really uneasy and i just wanted to leave. i understand this isn’t necessarily the hotel’s fault, but it would really help to have female-only shared rooms. something like this could still happen, but i would definitely feel safer and more comfortable.
E. Vasco★★★★★
Excellent location, and clean bedroom. They have free coffee and water for guests. The older gentlemen at the reception were great. The younger person not so much, my dog was having convulsions and he/she asked me to remove the dog not to dirty the floor... The lack of empathy was psychopathically disturbing. The older staff was alright, though. Other than that, very pet friendly hotel.

Surly male on reception. Teaching a female, who was pleasant - he looked most unwelcoming, however. The room was well-proportioned, but the air conditioning didn't work. It was so hot, we had to sleep with open window, so we're badly bitten by mosquitoes. The shower nozzle wasn't attached properly and the soap dispenser was detached from the wall tiles. Finally, the room was contiguous with an adjacent room, with only a door separating us from a loud male. We didn't ask for a communal arrangement. Ibis can and should do better. It didn't ruin our trip, as Toulouse is stunning, but pretty poor.

Pros: The location is close to the airport and near a tram line into the city centre, maid was very friendly and came to give me a belt in the carpark which I accidentally left behind! Cons: Reception staff were always slow, only ever 1 person and they were always on the phone, for check-in and checkout or when I wanted to request a late checkout for a fee. The late checkout was confirmed but I got a knock on my door shortly after normal checkout time to say they couldn't accommodate the request and I needed to leave. Also, it's close to public transport running until 1am, but when I tried to get back on foot around 10:30pm the gate was locked and I had to walk in my foot through the car gate after phoning the hotel

The rooms are manageable and the bar is good. The breakfast is also good, with crepes sometimes. The front desk service is usually very good, especially Bruno, who is excellent.

Great hotel that I always feel at home. We worked at the breakfast place many times for hours and felt so comfortable. The personnel is always very kind, friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast having variety of food and good espresso / tea. Rooms are compact but clean and comfortable. Location is not so far away from city center and very easy access to the airport by tram. The restaurant of the hotel is nice and inexpensive. They usually serve good quality red wines.

Room was ok, cleanliness ok, noice insulation not good as you can still hear the traffic at night. Their breakfast was quite ok in comparison to hotels of this price range around this area. It will be better if there is water boiler or coffee maker in the room. Walkable to nearby public transport and restaurant within 10-15 minutes.

Meh. It had a lot of space and had a kitchen which was nice, but they put us in a handicap room, so felt like we were in a hospital in our bathroom. Beds squeaked and we had no idea how to hook up tv to Netflix etc. in the night you heard the pipes and footsteps. Liked the street it was on…lots going on, but a bit out. It was a good price I guess, but would not stay again. Staff was friendly.

Hotel is in city center and near to all good toulouse attractions. The room I got was not spacious at all it looked like a old room with no proper lighting and allbut kitchen was good. The worst part is AC by default it is set to 22 but it's not cooling at all.Even in the hottest weather in France they didn't have any way to manage this situation and that was the worst part in the stay.on top of that there is no housekeeping service on daily basis which is expected in a 4star stay.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. It’s very conveniently located—just a 5-10 minute walk to the city center, on a charming street with plenty of cafes, restaurants, and bars. Despite the central location, the area is surprisingly quiet, allowing for a peaceful night’s rest. The room was exceptionally clean and spacious, with a well-equipped kitchenette and fridge that made my stay even more comfortable. The laundry facilities on the first floor were also a great convenience. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the warmth and dedication of the staff. From check-in to helping with city tour suggestions, restaurant recommendations, and even the smallest requests, the staff was always polite and genuinely eager to assist. Their attentiveness made me feel right at home.I would especially like to thank Emre who helped out and made the stay in Odalys unforgettable and special! He is one of the best hoteliers I have ever encountered. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

I wonder where's humanity. I had to cancel because I got injured in an accident a couple of days after booking. They didn't even want to give me a partial refund. Just a rude message.

The AC is not adequate at all. Hard set at 22C and is weirdly in one corner on the second floor. The room was roasting. We needed 4 cold showers in the night to sleep. Granted it was 40c outside but the ac just not adequate. It didn’t cool the room in the slightest. The receptionist looked almost happy as he told us that 22c was the lowest it would go. The lady receptionist much friendlier and helpful. Overall it probably lost 2 stars cause of the inadequate air conditioning.

The location is perfect, close distance to Airbus, the city center, the airport, Aeroscopia... the staff is very welcoming, 24/7 working on the most pleasant stay. The room itself is comfortable and clean, big enough, well isolated and temperatured. Bed is super comfy.

We stayed for two nights in two diff. Rooms. First room was small but clean! With free parking. Basic breakfast but good enough for that price. However, during check-in we were not informed that we have Breakfast already included with the room until another receptionist mentioned it to us on the 2nd night stay. It's located near the airport and approx. 15min. By car to the city center. We could hear poeple walking and shouting on the hallway during mid night, which is very annoying. **Guys, if you know it is past midnight be mindful of other poeple who are trying to sleep. Don't let your kids shout and run around. No hair dryer and shower mat. But with the price and cleanliness, i wouldn't complain at all! Friendly staff, quick check-in and out.

One of the worst nights of sleep. People shouting in the room, arguing in the middle of the night. An alarm in the stairs wakes up all the flor. Still is in the middle of the city. Don't recomend staying here.

Really cool place! From the location to the staff everything was amazing. The building itself is awesome. You can definitely feel the history in there. Also, the interior design is something that you don't see everywhere.. Not at this rate. The four stars is solely because the bed wasn't the greatest due to the very thin and hard mattress. Overall, yes, I happily recommend it.

I am enjoying my stay here. It is very economical, conveniently located, very comfortable and quiet rooms with a staff who tries hard to make sure you enjoy your stay. I had a climate control issue in my room, I was moved to another room the next day where the climate control was much better. This isn't the most fancy hotel around, but I came to Toulouse to experience France, not to stay in an expensive fancy hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed there as a part of a bike tour. The personnel is very friendly and helpful, the hotel is located in the city center and close to all the sightseeings as well as to the means of public transportation. Overall, it was okay, but the hotel is really basic (which you could expect from a 2-star hotel). The rooms were clean, there were shower kits and clean set of towels. The room was facing the inner yard and it was not always pleasant to open the door or the window as other guests were smoking in the yard and the smell of cigaret smoke went into the room. At the same time, there was a very unpleasant smell in the room itself, could be because of the old carpet or something else. I think it's a good value for money for a short stay in the city centre, otherwise there're better and also cheaper options. The breakfast is nice but again really very basic.

I have stayed at least 20 times in the Royal Wilson. This should tell you how much I like this hotel and the staff of Royal Wilson. Every time I come to Toulouse for business I stay in the Royal Wilson, and only there. The hotel is lovely, it is an old historic building with very appropriate decor, it is located in the very center of town, and the staff is always kind and friendly. Moreover, even the hotel rate is affordable. The rooms are small, cozy, and comfortable, the historic staircase is lovely and should know many stories if it could speak. In particular do I like the open inner courtyard on the first upper floor which shines in its mediterranean flair. Even rain feels less sad there. I always ask for a room there, and often I am granted my wish. There is only the best to say about this hotel, it is one of my all time favourite hotels ever, and I hope to return to there many more times in the future.

DANGEROUS SAFETY HAZARD - Family Trapped 45 Mins - Appalling Staff Response Avoid the Zenitude Toulouse Métropole (Comfort Aparthotel Toulouse Métropole ) at all costs, especially if traveling with children. Immediately upon check-in, my family (including 3 minors, ages 14, 11, and 2.5) was trapped inside their malfunctioning elevator on the ground floor. The lift immediately turned into a hot oven. My young children were dripping in sweat, panicking, and crying for help. The hotel completely failed to respond to the internal yellow emergency alarm button, and no one answered the front desk phone line for a prolonged period. Out of sheer desperation, I had to call the French Emergency Services (112) from inside the lift to coordinate our rescue. When a technician finally released us after 45 minutes, the hotel staff showed a complete lack of basic human decency. No one checked on our wellbeing, and they did not even offer a glass of water to my deeply distressed children. Front Desk Manager explicitly refused to issue a technical incident report, claimed the failure was "beyond their control," and insultingly offered a free breakfast as compensation. Upon checkout, they refused a refund and told me to wait a week for a manager reply. This property has hazardous, unmaintained facilities, a complete disregard for guest safety laws (obligation de sécurité de résultat under French Civil Code), and zero customer care. Unsafe for families.

Overall, my experience at this hotel was very good. The location is convenient—close to supermarkets like ALDI and near the airport, which is great for plane spotting. The facilities are quite good for a short stay, offering plenty to do: using the pool, relaxing in the apartment, spending time on the lawn area, and—for aviation enthusiasts—watching planes or visiting the Airbus museum. It was a fairly quiet spot; the only noise came from airplanes, noisy neighbors in other apartments, or children screaming loudly at the pool. Of course, nothing is perfect, and this hotel has its downsides too. The condition of our apartment (I’m not sure if this applies to others) was merely acceptable. The floor under our bed was completely broken, and there were weak spots where the flooring was on the verge of giving way; you’d sink in a bit when stepping on them. I would also suggest improving pool safety; there is a sign listing the rules, yet out of the many residents I saw, only three actually followed them. People would run and take a flying leap into the pool, either diving headfirst or doing a belly flop. On one occasion, a mother’s baby was near the edge; the first rule is "no jumping," but nobody obeys it. The mother finally intervened on the second day, but the guy had nearly landed on the child—who couldn't have been more than five years old. I realize this is a matter of resident behavior, but I’d look for a solution before a serious accident occurs. However, there are more positives that balance out the experience, such as the amenities and the incredibly friendly reception staff. Despite the negatives, the positives win out in my opinion. I’d love to see these small details improved to make the experience even better, but I still highly recommend the place. It is especially appealing to aviators and aviation enthusiasts like myself, given the proximity of Blagnac Airport; you can frequently watch planes landing—including, on certain afternoons, the Airbus Beluga XL. For those who don't know, these rank among the world's rarest, most unusual, and most exclusive aircraft, and they are truly worth seeing. Furthermore, as I mentioned earlier, there is the Airbus museum, where—based on my research—you can take a tour of designated areas to view aircraft such as the only six Belugas in existence (provided they haven't left the airport), two older Belugas, the A350, the A321, and other Airbus models. And the most incredible thing is that, alongside these models, there is the historic Caravelle and the legendary Air France Concorde. Honestly, I highly recommend it and hope to return soon!

It is correct for the price, but rooms were not completely clean, very little dirt on the beds, and in the bathroom sink. People were really friendly though and breakfast is OK. I would recommend if you need to do activities around the zenith

I had a brilliant stay at Comfort Aparthotel Toulouse. The flat itself was excellent – spacious, modern, and in a great location. With French public transport being so smooth and reliable, getting around the city was incredibly easy. The pool was another highlight, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The only downside was the housekeeping policy. For a week-long stay, we were only given two towels and two toilet rolls, which felt a bit impractical. A little more attention to these basics would have made the experience flawless. Overall, though, I’d highly recommend it and would happily stay again!

We had a great stay at Comfort Apart Hotel in Toulouse! The location is excellent - there's an Aldi grocery store just a few steps away, and right in front of it is a very convenient bus stop. From there, you can easily get to the Arenes Metro station and connect to many parts of the city by bus or metro. The hotel is also within walking distance to the tram, which made getting around even more flexible. The staff were friendly and spoke English, which made everything from check-in to local advice smooth and easy. Our room was comfortable and had good facilities, including air conditioning and a small but useful kitchen. The swimming pool was another highlight - not very deep, so even non-swimmers could enjoy a dip. From the pool, we could spot planes flying overhead and even saw a few Belugas, which is a special sight in Toulouse! Although check-out is usually at 11 AM, our flight was later in the evening. The hotel kindly offered to store our luggage in secure lockers and allowed us to use the reception area and pool until it was time to leave, a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. Overall, a very good experience. Convenient, comfortable, and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

Essential Tips for Booking Cheap Hotels in Toulouse

Securing a great deal in Toulouse requires a bit of local knowledge and strategic planning. While the list above provides excellent starting points, how and when you book can significantly impact your final bill. By understanding the city’s rhythm and the hotel market’s quirks, you can often unlock even lower rates or better inclusions at these very properties.

Avoid the Aerospace Rush: Toulouse is the headquarters of Airbus, and when there are major industry events, supplier conferences, or large corporate gatherings, budget hotel prices skyrocket. If your dates are flexible, try to avoid mid-week stays during major business conventions. Weekends often see a drop in prices at business-oriented hotels, as corporate travelers head home.

Leverage the Metro Over the Center: While staying directly on Place du Capitole is lovely, you pay a premium for the address. Hotels located one or two stops away on Metro Line A or Line B are often significantly cheaper. Areas like Compans-Caffarelli, Minimes, or Jean Jaurès (just outside the hyper-center) offer quick access to the sights without the tourist markup.

Check for "Toulouse Tourisme" Pass Perks: Before booking directly, check if the hotel partners with the local tourism board. Sometimes, booking a package or showing a city pass can unlock a small discount on accommodation or, more commonly, free public transport. This can offset the cost of a slightly more expensive room that is further out.

Book Parking Separately: If you are driving to Toulouse, hotel parking fees can add €15 to €25 per night to your stay, effectively negating the "cheap" room rate. Look for hotels that offer free parking (often found slightly outside the ring road) or use public parking lots (parkings relais) at the edge of the Metro lines. You can park cheaply and ride the train into the center for a fraction of the cost of central hotel garages.

Look for "Prêt-à-Partir" Deals: Many French hotel chains and independent hotels in Toulouse release last-minute "ready to go" rates on their own websites. If you are comfortable booking a week or a few days before your arrival, you can often secure a 4-star room for the price of a 2-star one. However, this is risky during peak summer tourism, so it is best used during the shoulder seasons of spring and autumn.

Toulouse is a city that rewards the savvy traveler. By choosing the right base and employing a few local booking strategies, you can save a significant amount of money that is much better spent on cassoulet, local wines, or a cruise along the Canal du Midi.

Whether you are here for the history, the science, or the vibrant student nightlife, a good night’s sleep shouldn’t break the bank. With a little planning, your visit to the Pink City can be both memorable and remarkably affordable.
