17 Best Asian Restaurants in Nice

Nice may be synonymous with Niçoise salad, socca, and sun-drenched Mediterranean terraces, but the city’s culinary identity extends far beyond the borders of Provence. Over the last decade, the capital of the French Riviera has quietly undergone a gastronomic revolution, transforming into a vibrant hub for international cuisine.

While traditional bistros still hold their ground in the Old Town, a new wave of chefs has introduced complex flavor profiles from the East, Southeast Asia, and beyond. For locals and travelers alike, the search for perfectly steamed dumplings, rich ramen broth, or fiery Thai curries has become a delicious pursuit.

The demand for authentic Asian dining has surged, moving past generic “Chinese” takeout into specialized regional cuisines. Whether you are craving the delicate artistry of Japanese sushi or the bold, aromatic heat of Vietnamese pho, Nice has a table waiting for you.

Navigating this diverse scene can be overwhelming, especially when tourist traps often overshadow genuine culinary gems. That is why we have curated a list focusing on authenticity, ingredient quality, and the overall dining experience.

We have considered everything from the mastery of the wok to the warmth of the service to ensure you get the best value for your money. In this guide, we explore the establishments that consistently impress discerning diners and local food critics.

We have moved beyond the standard hotel recommendations to find the hidden alleyway noodle bars and the family-run kitchens that define the true spirit of Asian hospitality. These are the places where recipes have been passed down through generations and where the ingredients are treated with reverence.

Prepare your palate for a journey that spans from the bustling street food markets of Bangkok to the refined sushi counters of Tokyo. We will highlight the signature dishes you cannot miss and the specific details that make each restaurant stand out in a crowded market.

Whether you are a resident looking for a new weekly staple or a visitor seeking a break from French cuisine, this list is your definitive resource. Without further ado, here are the top spots to satisfy your Asian food cravings in Nice.

Great location, amazing food, and good service. We’ve tried different dishes and everything was good. The only sushi I didn’t like so much (personal preference) was the one wit the Philadelphia cheese as the quantity used was too much. Other than that all perfect.
Heather S.★★★★☆
I had the California salmon cream cheese roll, veggie gyoza, edamame and mango passion mochi with a yume to drink. The food was good but the service was very very lax. The time it took to get the food was very long and the server was difficult to flag down. For example it took nearly 15 minutes for one order of mochi. Another thing to note - nigiri only comes in orders of 6, which is the first time I've ever seen

Amazing food!!! William was a fantastic waiter! Best service. Great atmosphere. The ramen was so flavorful and the sashimi was incredibly fresh. Definitely visit when in Nice!

Le Yen restaurant in Nice is a new, large Japanese restaurant that I really enjoyed. We have already been here several times. The interior is spacious, beautiful, and modern, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. What stands out is the presentation: there is a fire show, and you can actually see the chefs cooking on the open kitchen — it looks very impressive and beautiful. The sushi, salads, and other dishes are not only beautifully presented but also truly delicious, fresh, and carefully prepared. The service is very fast and good, and the staff is polite and friendly. It is definitely worth visiting.

Had a great experience at Le Yen in Nice! I tried a wide variety of Japanese dishes, from savory to sweet, and everything was consistently good. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor across the board. It’s the kind of place where you can explore different options on the menu and not be disappointed. Friendly atmosphere and a solid spot for Japanese food in Nice!

Had a really nice meal here! I ordered the Pho and it was so good. The owners were really sweet and friendly. The uncle served a homemade drink for free, which was such a nice touch. And the aunt gave out cute Easter keychains, honestly so adorable! Prices are very reasonable too. Definitely worth coming 😊
Michelle★★★★☆
we arrived late, just at the end of service, but were greeted very friendly asked “if we were hungry” so told no problem, we could eat. I believe it was a brother and sister partnership, now i have no french or Vietnamese so was a bit unsure what to order, the duck soup was an easy choice it was hot, and delicious, the rolls were a bit hit and miss for me, not had this cold dish before, i think i mistook them for egg rolls, we were given a cocktail mixture complementary and also chose a chinese beer to accompany our meal, we were not rushed even though the service was coming to a close, the hot towels at the end of the meal was refreshing. as we left we complemented the chef she did a great job. and the price was extremely reasonable.
Inga Daranuta★★★★★
I had the pho soup which was great. The service - amazing. Just for a soup I also got from the house the traditional chips, water, house punch. The atmosphere was nice, quiet music and very pleasant. And it didn't smell inside as in many Asian restaurant.

The owner is absolutely wonderful! He gave us free drinks, keychains and candies, and was so kind to share his interesting life stories with us. The shrimp cakes and noodles were incredibly delicious. This is hands down the best meal I’ve had since going abroad, and I even drank so much soup! He’s extremely friendly to Chinese people. Highly, highly recommend this place!
Jocelyn Nathania★★★★★
Had dinner at Le Mandarin and honestly… so good. Everything tasted fresh, comforting, and full of flavor. The grilled meat was juicy, the spring rolls were crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the soup was light but really satisfying. Perfect balance, not too heavy, not bland. It’s the kind of place you go when you just want good food without overthinking it. Simple, homey Vietnamese flavors, generous portions, and super reasonable prices for Nice. Would 100% come back. Comfort food level: ✔️✔️✔️

Decoration are amazing! The server was serving the whole restaurant in a full book night, really nice and quick! Matcha cocktail one of the best I’ve had.10/10 Duck bao is 5/10 meat too fat too soggy Korean fried chicken is more like orange chicken 6/10 Satay Beef is decent 6.5/10 Worth visiting but maybe once is enough REMEMBER to book!
Nina Blankestijn★★★★★
The service was quick and the staff were very kind. I liked the food, but I especially liked the Roppongi sour cocktail!

We are in nice for two weeks and this place has been one of our best meals. We shared bao buns, bao burger, gyoza, salad, edamame and chicken curry with our two kids. The curry was such a hit we had to order a second bowl and my six year old finished the meal by drinking the sauce.

Big, bold, beautiful flavours and friendly service. In Australia we love a good pad thai so we knew what to expect when ordering it. However what we got was the flavour we knew but also layers of other flavours and textures that made it truly delicious and exciting to eat. The duck was also wonderful.
Nikol Nikolova★★★★★
The food was wonderful and came very quickly. We enjoyed delicious food and drinks and a wonderful atmosphere. The staff was really polite.🤓💕

Great place for Asian fusion food -- the sushi is fresh and very high quality, the beer is ice cold and the pad thai and indonesian beef are exceptional. A welcoming staff, plus a great location for people watching. Highly recommended.
anthonysargi★★★★★
Asian Factory offers a vibrant fusion of Asian cuisines, delivering dishes that are both flavorful and artfully presented. From their Pad Thai to sushi assortments, the menu showcases a variety of options that cater to diverse palates. However, some patrons have noted that while the quality is commendable, the pricing leans towards the higher side. The ambiance is modern and inviting, complemented by attentive service. I’ve traveled the world, grew up in New York, and this is by far the best Pho I’ve ever had. The service is fantastic, and I learned so much about how to mix flavors with sushi and the order in which to maximize the flavors within my dish. What an experience. Never thought I’d come across this in France. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. If I lived close, I’d be coming back every week! Please go!
Olivia Perna★★★★★
Le Carpe Koï was such a lovely little find in Nice and exactly the kind of understated, authentic sushi spot we always hope to stumble upon while traveling. The menu is quite simple and focused mainly around salmon and tuna, but honestly, that focus is what makes the restaurant so good. Rather than trying to do everything, they clearly prioritize the quality of the fish, and it absolutely shows. The fish was incredibly fresh. I am very picky about seafood freshness and can usually tell immediately when something is off, so I can confidently say the quality here was excellent. The salmon and tuna were beautifully sliced, buttery, and clean tasting with that perfect fresh texture you want from good sushi. The presentation was also gorgeous in a very artistic yet understated way, reminiscent of a traditional Japanese sushi spot where the focus is entirely on craftsmanship rather than flashy gimmicks. I had the mixed salmon and tuna chirashi, which was absolutely delicious, while my partner ordered a combination of nigiri and California rolls that were equally fantastic. One detail we especially appreciated was that they offered both sweet and salty soy sauce options, allowing you to tailor the flavors to both the fish and your own palate. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the experience feel even more intentional. The service was very welcoming to us tourists, and the prices were honestly incredible for the quality. We spent around 18€ per person and felt like we got exceptional value for the freshness and care put into the food. Le Carpe Koï is not flashy, but that is exactly its charm. It is a simple, artistic, high-quality sushi restaurant with fantastic fish, excellent presentation, and very fair prices. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely return the next time we are in Nice.
Lina Ben Abdessalem★★★★★

A great meal for a good price. Lovely service also. Many things to choose from on the menu, and we purchased 2 x entrees and 1 x main to share between the two of us. Good portions and we left feeling full. A great place to stop and enjoy a meal.
K8iestorY★★★★☆
We had dinner and lunch here while at Nice. We liked the Beef Pho, it was tasty. The green and Red curry’s were nice too
Susu★★★★☆
I think the pho is just average for me but the curry chicken is better than I thought! In the winter I will try to have hot soup otherwise in Nice the local market may is the best option!
Guangsen Yan★★★★★
Great food and even better service! The staff at Omura are so kind, which really stood out to us. The food was delicious (especially the beef and peppers) and the portions were very generous. It’s a cozy, inviting spot with a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town.
Ankur Verma★★★★☆
We went to this place with family for dinner after a long and tiring day. Initially, we explored a few other options, but in the end, we chose this spot because of the strong number of positive reviews — and we’re glad we did! It’s a cozy little restaurant serving Asian cuisine. Finding a table for three was a bit tricky at first, but the staff went out of their way to arrange seating for us. They even managed to use some space from nearby closed shops to set up extra outdoor tables — a clever solution that gave us a fun, relaxed vibe. 😂 We ordered a mix of starters, main courses, and drinks. There was a small hiccup with the cocktails, but the staff quickly fixed it with a smile, which we really appreciated. The food itself was delicious, with generous portions and great flavors. On top of that, their warm hospitality made the experience even better. Overall, it turned out to be a lovely dinner spot and a nice way to end our day.

Our kids are begging to go back and have more curry and pad thai. Service was fast friendly and efficient we ordered a lot of items and it felt very reasonable. Highly recommend

An excellent little Thai spot in central old town Nice. Quaint space. The food is very good…. The red curry was very flavorful while also being light… nicely done. The Pad Thai was fine. The real hit of the restaurant were the spring rolls… clearly something they are famous for. Filled with glass noodles among other things, they have a heavenly texture with a stunning exterior crispness… while bursting with flavors. Do not miss out on these!!!
Gautam Sanka★★★★★
We needed a Thai fix and we walked around Old Town when we came across this restaurant. The owners, their dog and the staff are very welcoming. The ambiance was very well done. They have two areas for seating so it never felt too crowded. The food was really good! We had two curries and spring rolls. The curries were fresh and flavorful! The spring rolls came out nice and hot and the sauce just had the right amount of kick in it. Their water was surprisingly blue and it was due to them adding flowers to them! Overall, this was the best Thai food in Nice!

An absolutely outstanding Asian fusion restaurant perfectly located in the very heart of Nice, right next to the iconic Negresco Hotel. Every dish here is a masterpiece — full of flavor, freshness, and elegance. The prices are pleasantly reasonable, and the service is exceptionally warm, attentive, and welcoming. A hidden gem in Nice that you simply must try!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

was very happy to find an authentic chinese restuarant in Nice for the lunar new year! the family running the restaurant was super welcoming and friendly, and the food was really tasty. the atmosphere was so warm and comforting, it really felt like a cozy family gathering. wait was on the longer side (they were swamped with guests) but if you’re not in a rush i would highly recommend!

Thank you to the owners for welcoming us warmly and even provided an area to store our luggages. The service was quick, we got our drinks and menus as soon as we sat down. If you’ve been to France, this can sometimes take as long as 30 minutes. The food was authentic and they accommodate my request to customize their tofu dish to mapo style. Thank you!

We visited this place in the evening, and it took quite a long time for the food to come out. I think we waited for over an hour.. But all the dishes we ordered were so delicious that it was totally worth the wait. The staffs were very friendly, and the fried eggplant was especially good!
David Bao★★★★★
As someone from China who has tried a lot of Chinese restaurants across France and the United Kingdom, I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is craving a bite of Chinese cuisine! We loved it here so much that we came 3 times on our trip. Everything we ordered was authentic, delicious, and made with love. The service was top notch - the owners were incredibly patient, friendly, and did their best to deliver service with a great attitude.

What a great spot! My friend and I are so happy we found this place. Food was delicious. I've never had eggplant taste so good. The woman who owns the place was very invested in us enjoying our experience. She gave us lots of attention and advice on the menu. We could tell she is a genuinely kind and lovely person. ❤️ Highly recommend!

Good place. Clean. Good food. Good quality of food. They gave us free water to our order. Negative part that is NOT affecting appetite: rice was sticky due to heating it up in the microwave. No music, only sounds of kitchen staff working. The place itself looks like a cheap-to-go cafe, but you will be surprised with fresh food variety.

Excellent Restaurant! Very nice waiter, super tasty asian food, lovely ambiente. We took Poulet frit coreenne, nem poulet, boeuf satay coco, pho, and as desserts perle du japon, Mochi glace, and many more. Would recommend 100%! We went there 3 times in August 2025. Better reserve a table before going there, because it is well attended.

Best asian restaurant in Nice, simple as that.

Delicious food in a warmly decorated setting that creates a lovely atmosphere for dining. I personally had crispy pork with rice, which was very tasty. My friend had a bao burger and was absolutely delighted—it was excellent! The waitress was very kind to us, and I really appreciated the surprises at the end of the meal. Thank you again! ⭐️

Nice place tugged on a quiet street. I sat outside and it was a great spot. The chicken is ok. A surprising big portion of rice and very tasty rice. The staff is super friendly. Definitely worth a repeat.

I love the food , I love the family who work there . They are so sweet . These people are the reason why I want to go to China so bad to try explore more about Chinese cuisine . The portion is big fried pork was the best for me and of course the fish soup . I pay 17 euro for rice and pork which I would say the price is very reasonable in a place like Nice . Merci Beaucoup à touts

We had a very nice dinner at Pavillon d'Angkor tonight. The interior is beautiful—the botanical ceiling creates such a unique, cozy atmosphere. For the main course, I highly recommend the Amok du Pavillon; it was perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. My husband had the Tom Yum Prawns, which featured large, fresh prawns and a rich, authentic broth. We finished with the Mango Sticky Rice and the Pineapple dessert. Both were almost too pretty to eat, topped with delicate decorative tuiles that added a lovely crunch. Excellent service and a must-visit for anyone craving high-end Asian cuisine in Nice.

Pavillon d'Angkor is a classic hidden gem in the heart of Nice. From start to finish our dinner was excellent. The owner was a pleasure to talk with explaining the background of the restaurant and the menu. We ordered the Vegetable Gyoza, Chicken Crispy Bowl, and the Shrimp and Beetroot Salad along with some Angkor beers (which we had not had since visiting Cambodia years ago). The dishes were all cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful. We enjoyed the dinner so much we decided to visit Pavillon d'Angkor again during our 5 day stay in Nice. And once again, the dinner was excellent! Shortly after being seated, the owner gave us both a complimentary drink. It tasted wonderful and was very refreshing. We only wished he had given us a carafe of it 🙂 We ordered the Karry Chicken and the Dragon Bowl and both were outstanding. The owner has a passion for his restaurant and an attention to detail that results in a great dining experience. We highly recommend Pavillon d'Angkor for a high quality, yet unpretentious dining experience.

Excellent Southeast Asian experience. The food was authentic (we were just in Cambodia a few months ago) and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful (we don’t speak French). While in Nice I recommend you try a taste of Cambodia.

This is a nice little Asian fusion restaurant in the area. They have a good variety of Asian style foods with different twists. We had crunchy beef meatballs, crispy chicken, monkfish, and mango sticky rice. The crunchy beef meatballs were good, and the flavors were quite nice and paired pretty good with the sweet chili sauce dip. The crunchy chicken was decent, but the rice was a tad bit dry. The flavor of the chicken was spot on. The monkfish dish was very good. The mango sticky rice was ok. The black rice was a nice flavor, but the rice itself was a bit hard. The service was excellent, and we really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. Overall, I feel it is worth a try if you are in the area looking for Asian food.

Tips for Choosing the Right Asian Restaurant in Nice

Finding the perfect meal involves more than just looking at a menu; it requires understanding the nuances of the local dining scene and knowing what separates an average meal from an unforgettable one.

The French Riviera has its own rhythm and dining customs, and applying a little local knowledge can significantly enhance your experience. Here are five essential tips to help you navigate the Asian culinary landscape of Nice with confidence and ease.

1. Look Beyond the Tourist Promenade

While the restaurants lining the Promenade des Anglais offer stunning sea views, they often cater to a transient crowd with inflated prices and toned-down flavors. To find the true culinary soul of the city, venture into the narrow streets of Vieux Nice or the up-and-coming Libération district.

These areas are where you will find smaller, family-owned establishments where the focus is squarely on the food rather than the view. The rent is lower, allowing chefs to invest more in high-quality imported ingredients and authentic spices.

2. Check for Regional Specificity

The best Asian restaurants in Nice are not generic; they specialize. A restaurant that tries to serve sushi, pad thai, and spring rolls all on one menu is often a red flag.

Look for venues that focus on a specific regional cuisine, such as a dedicated Ramen bar, a Szechuan kitchen, or a Vietnamese Pho house. This specialization usually indicates that the kitchen has mastered a particular set of techniques and flavors, leading to a much higher standard of authenticity and taste.

3. Observe the Clientele

One of the most reliable indicators of a restaurant’s quality is the demographic of its diners. If you walk past an Asian restaurant and see a high proportion of Asian families or international students dining inside, you have likely found a winner.

This is a sign that the food is authentic enough to satisfy those who grew up with these flavors. Don’t be afraid to peek inside; if the tables are full of locals laughing and sharing dishes, the kitchen is doing something right.

4. Understand the French Dining Schedule

Timing is crucial when dining in France. Many high-quality restaurants in Nice close their kitchens between 2:30 PM and 7:00 PM. If you are craving an early dinner or a late lunch, your options may be limited to tourist-oriented spots that serve food all day.

To access the best kitchens, align your eating schedule with the local customs: lunch around 12:30 PM and dinner after 7:30 PM. Additionally, making a reservation is highly recommended for dinner, especially on weekends, as the top spots fill up quickly with locals.

5. Ask About the Spice Level

French palates have historically been sensitive to heat, which means some restaurants may “dumb down” the spice levels of traditional dishes to appeal to the local market. If you are a fan of authentic, fiery heat, do not hesitate to communicate this to your server.

Phrases like “très épicé, comme en Thaïlande” (very spicy, like in Thailand) or “niveau authentique” (authentic level) can signal to the kitchen that you want the real deal, not the tourist version. Most chefs are delighted to accommodate guests who appreciate their true culinary heritage.

The Asian dining scene in Nice is a testament to the city’s evolving identity as a cosmopolitan melting pot. It proves that while the city honors its Provençal roots, it also embraces the global flavors that its international residents and visitors bring to the table. By venturing into these kitchens, you are not just eating a meal; you are experiencing a cross-cultural dialogue told through herbs, broths, and fire.

Whether you choose the delicate precision of a sushi master or the comforting warmth of a slow-cooked ramen bowl, you are guaranteed to find a dish that lingers in your memory long after you leave the Côte d’Azur. Bon appétit—or as they say across the Asian continent, itadakimasu.
