12 Fast Food Spots near the Panthéon

The area around the Panthéon is one of the most intellectually and historically rich pockets of Paris. Located in the heart of the Latin Quarter, this neighborhood is home to the Sorbonne University, historic libraries, and winding medieval streets that draw millions of visitors each year. After climbing the steep streets of the Montagne Sainte-Geneviève or exploring the crypts of France’s great thinkers, hunger often strikes quickly.

While the neighborhood is famous for its traditional bistros and literary cafés, sometimes you simply need a quick, satisfying meal without the long wait. Whether you are a student rushing between lectures, a tourist trying to maximize sightseeing time, or a local running errands, fast food offers a practical solution. The area surrounding the Panthéon has evolved to accommodate this demand with a diverse range of quick-service restaurants.

You do not have to settle for bland or generic meals when you are short on time. The streets branching off from the Place du Panthéon feature a vibrant mix of French fast-casual spots, international street food, and American-style burger joints. This diversity allows you to sample flavors from around the world without straying too far from the historic square.

Choosing the right spot depends on your specific craving. Are you looking for a classic French baguette sandwich to eat on the steps of the Panthéon? Perhaps you want a warm bowl of noodles to combat the Parisian chill, or a gourmet burger to refuel after a long walk along the Seine. The options are more varied than you might expect.

Convenience is key when visiting this tourist-heavy district, but quality should not be compromised. Many of the fast food spots near the Panthéon prioritize fresh ingredients and quick service, catering to a discerning clientele that includes both Parisians and international guests. You can often find halal options, vegetarian menus, and late-night service to fit your specific travel schedule.

To help you navigate the bustling streets of the 5th arrondissement, we have compiled a list of the most reliable and delicious quick-bite locations. These spots are chosen for their proximity to the monument, their speed of service, and their ability to deliver a satisfying meal. You can use this guide to make a quick decision and get back to exploring the City of Light.

Here is where you should grab a quick bite when you are near the Panthéon.

I think French people must have something against the McDonald's brand after visiting this branch. We waited 30 minutes to collect our order. The Spider-Man Happy Meal figure and the box were missing, and they only provided them after I pointed it out. The cheese and bacon fries were only about one-third of the portion size you would receive in the UK or Slovakia. Every item of food was cold. They also refused to provide a straw for a Fanta with ice. When I asked, the staff member rudely replied, "You only get a straw for a boba drink, not for Fanta," then simply walked away. The fries had no salt whatsoever. One of the worst McDonald's experiences I've had. Just avoid this place. Toilets token system. But don't really need that. You que 30 minutes to toiltet too, than person who's been before you leave it open for you (if they mentally ok, some of them shut door for fun) There is one toilet per gender.

It's an American trying the different items that McDonald's has in France that is not in the States. The 260 burger was very good. It was all good honestly.

2026-05-18 Thank you for the ✝️ of a McDonalds within walking distance from Notre Dame . You will need an umbrella if it rains! You have to ask for a washroom / wc / toilette token!

Typical McDonald's. Kinda tasteful food that fills you at a decent price. Only ordering from kiosks kills any interaction with the service personelle. The wait time to get to the kiosks was longer than getting the food. Not a bad place to stop for a quick bite.

One star only to write a comment. I have a back injury, and the black security guard at this branch was extremely rude and disrespectful. He refused to let me sit while I was waiting for my order and started shouting at me and other customers. I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior from staff. I will not be coming back to this branch again. I sincerely hope the management takes this matter seriously and addresses the situation.

We arrived at 1:40 to order food. The person on duty was helpful at the beginning but soon became belligérant with us. The food that we were ordering was already made and he had only to take our order and put it in the bag. He was clearly ready to leave even though the store closed at 2:00am. This is my neighborhood KFC so it’s not abnormal that people head on at midnight or after… but we were not welcome. Horrible experience.
Hanna Szalai★☆☆☆☆
Worst KFC I have ever been in the world. The food was old, and cold. We could basically see the machine that kept the pre-fried chicken warm. The fries were dry and rock-hard (as well as cold) when we complained that we did not get the value for our money they kept saying they will not change it warm. When after a while they gave in and changed our fries, they basically threw the fries at our plate and did not say a word of sorry or anything. They were acting like the victims all along when they were in the wrong. While this was happening the manager looking guy was smoking, hanging out with his buddies in the street, clearly not working. This is what happens when you put ninjas in the workplace. 🥷🏾

Perfect for a quick meal! Very fast service, smiling staff, clean restaurant and satisfying food. I recommend it for a meal break.

The chicken tenders are good, the rest of the food ok. We got the wrong order, and they got kind of mad at us for telling. They were very unwilling to give us the food we payed for, but maybe it was because of a language barrier? Either way they were very annoyed. At last we got everything except for the right soda. There was no toilet paper in the restroom.

There seems more options for ice cream in kids menu. Service very friendly. Clean environment with Cozy ambiance. It’s a pity that there is no QR code yet for King’s table. Ice burger is not recommended because ice cream inside is completely melted like liquid.

Great experience with a view! This Burger King branch looks amazing with its large windows facing the park. The food was fresh and hot - perfect for a takeaway picnic in the park. One small issue: our order was taken by mistake by another customer, and because the staff didn't speak English, it took a while to get it sorted out and get a fresh meal. Still, a very positive experience overall.

The food was nice classic burger king. But the stuff was very rude towards tourists while in french people they were talking friendly. Also while the order seemed ready they hadn't put the coca cola and we talked about it many times and the half of them they ignored us and they didn't want to speak English.Very bad stuff for tourists

The first time we said it was taking a time we were asked to talk to a colleague .It was the opposite of fast food. The order no was 495 on Monday 6th July around 10 pm.

A fantastic spot with amazing flavor—loved the lamb and the unique Middle Eastern twist on the Caesar salad! (4.5 Stars) We stopped by Los Brothers and had an absolute treat of a meal! The grilled meats and fresh salads here really stand out from your typical fast-casual spot. The Lamb Skewers: Cooked to perfection—tender, full of rich flavor, and beautifully seasoned. If you enjoy authentic, well-spiced grilled lamb, this is a must-order. The Caesar Salad (Priya’s absolute favorite!): Usually, we find standard European or original Caesar salads a bit plain or overly heavy, but Los Brothers does an incredible Middle Eastern/spiced take on it. Packed with flavorful chicken and fresh toppings, it completely elevated the dish. It was easily the star of the table! The Bulgur Wheat: A brilliant side option instead of heavy starches—warm, comforting, and wonderfully seasoned. Minor feedback: The only real downside was the french fries, which turned out a bit too oily and soggy for our taste, so we ended up leaving most of them behind. That small point aside, everything else was a solid 4.5/5 stars. Great food, generous portions, and wonderful flavors. We will definitely be back when we want a high-protein, flavorful bite in Paris!

Avoid this place at all cost the food was absolutely appalling disgusting chips tasted like a strange flavour from the oil that I couldn't even understand. The onions tasted foul and off. The staff were so so so so rude including the guy almost sweating directly on to the food. the food speaks for itself truly truly disgusting. Avoid this at all costs go across the road. This place needs learn how to speak to customers and deliver decent food. clean your oil fry the chips smile and take the money. It smells off!! I am so angry i paid for this

We went to Los Brothers for our last dinner in Paris, and wow — what a way to end the trip. The place was absolutely buzzing. People were constantly coming and going, and it was clear this spot is popular for a reason. Even with how busy they were, the service was top notch. The staff stayed on top of everything, made sure we had what we needed, and kept things moving without ever making us feel rushed. We ordered the platter to share, and it was so good. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. It’s one of those meals where you keep saying, “You have to try this,” back and forth across the table. Every bite delivered. One of the best parts? Everything is halal, which made it an easy and comfortable choice for us. Huge thank you to the team at Los Brothers for such a great experience. Keep killing it — we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Paris!

I have never heard the Quick chain until I came to France. And if you haven't been there, you do not need to bother. Quick feels like the French or European version of BurgerKing (being the secondary brand) giving Whopper vibes. At least, Whoppers are char-grilled and definitely taste different than McDonalds, in a good way. Well not at Quick. Quick serves cardboard meat burgers that after a single bite, my kids could not proceed through. They look fabulous on the walls and advertisements but absolutely disastrous in terms of taste and quality of the food. Only giving it 2 stars because the interior was really clean and well air-conditioned. I hear that Burger King is actually taking over Quick. I'm not surprised.

My burger had a fried fly as a free gift! 🪰And the best part is the staff won't even admit there's a problem, instead they claim it's "impossible". Well you be the judge of that. They gave me a new burger free of charge, and the cashier was very nice so 2/5
Mako_2230★★☆☆☆
Just bought an XL Super Classique burger with Grand Frites for takeout. I have to say that it was not a good burger. The burger is dry, and squashed, and the fries are dry & tasteless. To add insult to injury, even though there are 3 girls making up the order, I got a standard Coke instead of a Cherry Coke like I ordered, I asked without ice, but it came with ice, and there was no ketchup or basliic ketchup that was supposed to come with the order. Very disappointing considering it’s not very busy. Wait until next week with all the Olympics visitors, this restaurant will struggle. Maybe I should try McDonalds or 5 Guys next time.

Tried their Burger and was as dry as Sand. You can't eat these burgers without drinking galons of water. Can't recommend it! But ... There is a five Guys near by 😜

I came here, the man was very nice, the man took my recipept after I ordered kiosk. I order taco, it's a taco restaurant. The man gave me a buzzer after I handed the man my recipept. I admit, the man looked incredibly busy, I think the staff is overworked, and I hope the man is paid well. I thanks you. I admit, I have not eaten the food yet. Very filthy place. Dirty tableware. Waited too long for three milkahakes. Couldn’t even finish them. 10 euros flushed down the toilet.

This was very reliable since it was close to where I was staying. Not sure why all the low rated reviews. It’s McDonald’s, not a Michelin star restaurant. Cheap €5 meals if you’re trying to keep it frugal.

Visiting paris for a few days from the uk. After spending time at the zoo, me and my partner walked for an hour and we then came across this MDs. Lots of self-service machine which was great. Food delivered fast. All tasted great. Only downside was the fries abit cold.

There have got to be better places to eat in Paris but when you are hungry and need to catch a train in less then 10 minutes... Still.... Very 😑

We had to ask for the second half of our order to actually be handed to us when our number was called. First Bag broke 5 meters after leaving the place. We asked for it to be split into two bags since it was too heavy. They put the broken bag in another bag and told hs to go. Other bag had 5 drinks with only 4 cup holders. Lids not put on correctly. As a result Half of the drinks spilled and had to be carried by hand. Great job, loved it!

Dirty The place was dirty, and the space is ridiculously small for the number of people in this area. The staff is seriously lacking in training and professionalism; they're unintelligible, and there's complete disorganization. It's unbelievable that in 2026 they haven't taken advantage of technology to improve service. I absolutely do not recommend it.

Authentic filthy experience. Traveling the world not even in India I saw a place that smelled to rotten soda, dirty pigeons on tables, disgusting toilet, and powerful bins smelling to rot. Avoid! Perhaps the worst burger king in the world.

They close at 2am but denied service at 1am after a World Cup match. I’m hungry and upset. Get your staff right
Luis Esquivel★☆☆☆☆
If you love your family, do not eat here. If there’s ever going to be a restaurant where the next coronavirus starts, it’s definitely this Burger King. I have never eaten in a place where you have to watch for bird droppings while rushing through your food just to get out as fast as possible. This was by far the worst fast-food experience I’ve ever had. And look, when you go to Burger King, you already know it’s not a five-star restaurant. You’re just expecting a quick burger and fries, something simple to fill you up. But I kid you not, I had to rush through my meal making sure bird droppings didn’t land on my food. Totally disgusting.

was served the smallest sundae I’ve ever received, and it was missing the caramel I paid for. When it was finally added, there was no apology or explanation. The portion size was unacceptable and poor value for money. I will be making an official complaint about this experience.

The bathroom were very dirty, not able to use. More of them were closed and only one worked. We politely asked somebody to clean it is possible and they answered in a rude way.
Mithun Meritson★☆☆☆☆
The food was extremely disappointing — bland, poorly made, and tasted like it had no freshness at all. Definitely not what you’d expect, even from a fast-food place. What really ruined the experience were the washrooms. They were in terrible condition — dirty, smelly, and clearly not maintained properly. For a busy location in Paris, that’s unacceptable. Won’t be returning to this branch anytime soon.

For some reason, I just had to try the McDonald's in Paris and get my fix of the 'Bacon Royal with Cheese'! After all, walking around the entire morning made me hungry, and this McDonald's was right in my path. The staff are super friendly, even though they spoke little English, but somehow, I got my order in. And space was plenty, except that the crowds were also plenty. At the end of the day, this was a great experience in Paris, and whenever I travel around the world, I make it a point to try the local McDs!

A nice restaurant in an upscale area. Wife said a bathroom attendant was charging a fee to use the toilet, which i thought was weird. The store was very crowded.

We visited the McDonald’s near the Arc de Triomphe and had a good experience. There were multiple kiosks, which made ordering easy, and the service was very quick. We especially enjoyed the McCafé treats. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside, making it a convenient stop while exploring Paris.
Zsolt Kiss★☆☆☆☆
Food quality: below criticism (photo attached). Humanity: zero. There was strong, cold wind blowing, so our group of 8 people + 1 dog wanted to step inside. Since there was no pictogram and no written sign stating that dogs are not allowed, we entered with my shivering dog — only into the entrance area — so we wouldn’t disturb anyone while the rest of the family was ordering. After half a minute, the security guard forced us out. I repeatedly pointed out that there was no sign prohibiting dogs. Despite this, he became louder and louder, shouting “OUT!” We then sat outside in the freezing cold and waited for the others. Later, I received something that could barely be called food. The only positive thing was that the hot chocolate was perfectly made and the barista was very nice. I honestly hope the place goes bankrupt and gets replaced by an O’tacos or another more decent food chain.
Annette W★★★☆☆
Staff is super. Everyone I interacted with or observed was working diligently, fast, and with friendly professionalism. The fries were perfect McDonald's standard. The burger buns were some if the best I've had. The meat patties were tiny and dry. The thing that drags the restaurant down is the complete lack of napkins. Meals don't come with napkins. There are no napkin dispensers. And if the answer to that is that I should have asked at the counter, then I am going to argue that counter staff should ask whether I want/need napkins along when they offer ketchup for the fries. The lack of napkins is exacerbated by the ridiculous long lines for the bathroom. They should offer a handwashing station outside of the bathrooms for those customers who don't need the toilet but prefer clean hands before and after eating.

Let’s start the statement with, the food was great, I love subway! ❤️ The service, on the other hand…. Horrible, we said hi in French, and then in English, the guy (probably the manager because he was teaching the other one) was really rude, he did not said hello, and was rude on every word he talked to us…. The manners, everything, really and awful experience. Lastly, I requested the 4€ fries, which are typically served as a side dish. He gave me a strange look, went to the container, grabbed some cold fries, and reheated them. I’m not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to be done, but it was certainly unusual. I’ll suggest that the owner reconsider or train the manager to be more courteous. The food was excellent, but the manager seemed disinterested in interacting with customers.

I really needed to use the toilet because of an emergency (got my period spontaneously) So i bought something and asked the young brown haired woman who took my order if i could go to the toilet. Apparently she said that its only possible if i bought something for 5€, which is quite frankly outrageous. She said it with a passive aggressive tone and was very unfriendly in general. The cookie also tasted poorly. Wouldn’t recommend!!!!!!!

The tacos was good. Tasty crousty was so so, too much sauce I'd say.
Carlos Torres★★★★☆
So, as an American, I will say this is not a taco. That said, it says French tacos, which just means that it is meat and cheese and starch wrapped in a tortilla, pressed hot, and handheld while eating it. If you aren't expecting a taco and take it at fave value though, it's really pretty decent! Ample meat, nice cheddar sauce, quick service, not spicy (but you don't come to France for spicy, you know), and warms up well the next day. One of few easy to go foods other than a kebab.

The Latin Quarter is a dense maze of streets, and making the wrong choice can leave you with an overpriced, low-quality meal that eats into your sightseeing time. To ensure you get the best value and taste, it helps to understand the local dining landscape. The following tips will help you navigate the fast food scene like a local, ensuring you find a meal that matches your budget, dietary needs, and schedule without compromising on the Parisian experience.

  1. Look for the Student Deals: Because the Sorbonne is right around the corner, many sandwich shops and kebab spots offer lunch formulas specifically designed for students. These "formules" usually include a main item, a side, and a drink for a reduced price. Even if you are not a student, you can often benefit from these budget-friendly combo deals during the weekday lunch rush.

  2. Embrace the French "Boulangerie" Fast Food: The fastest and often most authentic fast food in Paris isn’t a burger or a taco; it is a sandwich from a high-quality bakery. Look for a "Jambon-Beurre" (ham and butter on a fresh baguette) or a "Poulet Crudités" (chicken and raw veggies). These are made in seconds, cost less than most combo meals, and are perfect for a picnic on the Panthéon steps.

  3. Check the "Fait Maison" Label: To avoid industrial, frozen food, look for signs that say "Fait Maison" (homemade) or "Artisanal." Many burger joints and kebab shops in the 5th arrondissement pride themselves on making their own sauces, grinding their own meat, or baking their own buns. This distinction is usually a strong indicator of a higher quality meal, even in a fast-casual setting.

  4. Be Wary of the "Tourist Menu" Traps: Restaurants directly facing the Panthéon or on the Rue Soufflot often charge a premium for the view. While the location is beautiful, the food quality is often inferior to what you will find one or two streets back. Walk a few minutes toward Rue Mouffetard or Rue Saint-Jacques to find places where the locals actually eat, resulting in better food at a lower price.

  5. Plan for Limited Seating: Many of the best quick-service spots near the Panthéon operate primarily as takeaway counters with very limited indoor seating. During peak hours, you may find yourself without a place to sit. Be prepared to take your food to go. The Luxembourg Gardens are just a short walk away and offer a beautiful, scenic setting for an impromptu picnic.

  6. Verify Late Night Hours: The Latin Quarter is lively after dark, but not all fast food spots stay open late. If you are leaving a late lecture at the Sorbonne or finishing a tour of the illuminated Panthéon, do not assume everything is open. Most standard sandwich shops close by 8:00 PM or 9:00 PM, while kebab shops and specific burger joints often stay open until midnight or later to serve the bar crowd.

The area around the Panthéon proves that "fast food" does not have to mean sacrificing flavor or cultural authenticity. Whether you opt for a traditional French crêpe, a gourmet burger, or a hearty kebab, you are participating in a modern Parisian tradition of eating well on the go. The key is to step slightly off the main tourist thoroughfares to find the spots that prioritize fresh ingredients and efficient service.

With a full stomach and a bit more energy, you are ready to dive back into the rich history of the Left Bank. Whether you are heading to the nearby Jardin des Plantes, browsing the bookshops along the Seine, or simply watching the world go by from the steps of the monument, a good meal is the perfect foundation for a memorable Parisian day.
