12 Best Spas in Saint-Tropez

From discreet hammams tucked behind ancient stone walls to sleek wellness spaces overlooking the Mediterranean, Saint-Tropez offers a restorative counterpoint to its glamorous reputation. While the port and the beach clubs hum with energy, the town’s true luxury often lies in silence, steam, and the skilled hands of expert therapists. For visitors seeking balance, the local spa scene is as curated and refined as the yachts moored in the harbor.

The best spas in Saint-Tropez are not merely places to book a massage; they are sensory destinations that reflect the Provençal landscape. Expect treatments infused with local ingredients like lavender, sea salt, grape seed oil, and citrus from the surrounding hills. Many of the most exclusive hotel spas also welcome outside guests, though advance reservations are almost always essential during the high season.

Whether you are recovering from a long flight, taking a break from the sun, or simply indulging in a ritual of self-care, the range of options is impressive. You can choose between a traditional French thalassotherapy circuit, a holistic Asian-inspired ritual, or a modern biohacking session. The common thread is an unwavering commitment to quality and privacy.

This guide focuses on venues that consistently deliver exceptional service, pristine facilities, and treatments that justify their premium pricing. It includes a mix of iconic palace hotels, boutique hideaways, and specialist wellness centers. Each entry has been selected for its distinct atmosphere and the expertise of its practitioners.

Because Saint-Tropez is a compact destination, many of these spas are within a short drive of one another. However, the atmosphere varies dramatically from the center of the village to the quieter beaches of Pampelonne or the serene peninsula of Saint-Tropez itself. Consider whether you prefer a sea view, a garden setting, or a deeply secluded indoor sanctuary.

With so many choices, finding the right fit can feel overwhelming. The following selection highlights the establishments that currently define the upper tier of wellness in this legendary corner of the French Riviera.

An exceptional stay from beginning to end. Château de la Messardière combines the atmosphere of a historic Provençal château with the comfort and service of a truly world-class luxury hotel. The entire estate is beautifully maintained, with impressive gardens, panoramic views, elegant interiors, several pools and an excellent spa. Our room was spacious, peaceful and immaculately prepared, while the service throughout the hotel was attentive, polished and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling intrusive. The restaurants, breakfast and overall quality of the food were also outstanding. The hilltop setting provides privacy and beautiful views, although it is not particularly convenient for walking into central Saint-Tropez or to the beach, which is the only reason I rated the location four stars. However, the hotel’s organised transfers make travelling between the château, town and beach extremely easy. Overall, this is one of the most complete and memorable luxury hotel experiences in Saint-Tropez.

From the moment we arrived, everything about our stay exceeded expectations. Airelles Château de la Messardière is more than just a luxury hotel—it’s an experience. The property is breathtaking, the rooms are beautifully designed, and every corner reflects elegance and attention to detail. What truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional service. Every member of the team made us feel genuinely welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our family had a memorable stay. The atmosphere is peaceful yet vibrant, with stunning views over Saint-Tropez and first-class facilities. If you’re looking for one of the finest places to stay on the French Riviera, I can confidently say this is a destination in itself. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at Airelles Château de la Messardière in Saint-Tropez. From the moment we arrived, the level of service was exceptional. The staff truly go above and beyond to fulfill every request and always do so with a smile they never seem to say no to anything. The food was outstanding throughout our stay, with every meal being a memorable experience. The hotel itself is stunning, especially the beautifully maintained gardens, which create a peaceful and luxurious atmosphere. The rooms are elegant, spacious, and complemented by excellent amenities that make the stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights for our family was the incredible kids’ club, which is among the best we have experienced. It is spacious, beautifully designed, and offers plenty of activities for children. The hotel is genuinely family-oriented and pays remarkable attention to its younger guests. Thoughtful touches, such as small gifts for children at every meal. A special thank you to Chloe Motta for her assistance with our reservation and for ensuring everything was perfectly arranged before our arrival. We would also like to recognize Abhishek at the restaurant for his warm hospitality and attentive . While the prices may seem high at first glance, the experience, service, facilities, dining, and attention to detail make it worth every penny. The value lies in everything that is included and the consistently exceptional level of hospitality throughout the stay. We cannot wait to return.
Megan Kalili★★★★★
We stayed here for our honeymoon this year and everything exceeded our expectations. Our room was spacious, charming but fresh, with a beautiful view (and it included private pool chairs). Everytime we would step out of room, we were welcomed with a new gift from the hotel staff. Both the breakfast and lunch buffets were exceptional, as well as the food at the beach club. The staff pays so much attention to detail and the service is fantastic. We are very happy with our decision to stay here.
Victor Dumelié★★★★★
We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Château de la Messardière brunch. The setting is simply magnificent, the gardens and views create a peaceful, elegant atmosphere that turns the meal into a true experience. The food was delicious, with fresh, well-presented dishes and successful flavor combinations; you can feel the care taken with the ingredients. The service was attentive and discreet, always smiling and ready to advise without being intrusive. One small note: the crowd can sometimes make the lines at the buffet a little longer, but the team manages the situation well and it does not diminish the overall experience. I highly recommend this brunch for a special occasion or simply to treat yourself, a very lovely moment worth repeating.

Loved this hotel (and I am picky). The service was impeccable, breakfast was great, and its about a 7min walk to town. . I had a nice large room. It is so chill, quiet and quaint.

Had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel and location. It's a short walk to the center of town but still a very quiet and private place. The staff was very friendly and very respectful, and went out of their way to make our stay special.

Had a great experience at Villa cosy. Family friendly. Great location. Great room amenities. Breakfast is good. The team is very friendly, accommodating and responsive. You can feel it’s a family run business. Will be back

We celebrated my wife’s birthday here over the weekend with our children, and we had a wonderful stay. The location is fantastic: secluded, peaceful, and private, yet only about a 10-minute walk from the marina. As a boutique hotel with only a small number of rooms, it feels intimate and very relaxing. We visited in February, and the heated pool was over 28°C, which made swimming an absolute pleasure. We booked the Garden Suite with Jacuzzi, and the jacuzzi was surprisingly spacious and large enough for all four of us. What really made the experience special was the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. Everyone was so friendly both before and during our stay, and they truly went out of their way to make everything as enjoyable as possible. They also gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants, activities, and places to visit in the surrounding area. We definitely plan to return to Saint-Tropez, and we will certainly stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Staying at Villa Cozy was truly something special. St. Tropez is beautiful on its own, but the experience created by Diane, Frederic, and the entire Villa Cozy team is what made our trip unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed and cared for. Our room was thoughtfully prepared with so many lovely details, and the breakfast each morning was absolutely incredible such a perfect way to start the day. But what stood out most was the genuine kindness and warmth from everyone on the team. They made us feel not just like guests, but like we were at home. We’re already looking forward to returning. Thank you for creating such a memorable and heartfelt experience. It’s one we’ll always

This is my second time in St Tropez and the first time at Le Cheval Blanc and wow, I can only say wow. If you look at my reviews I have stayed at amazing hotels and this might be the top one. Firstly it’s the only hotel on the ocean in St Tropez, no other. Secondly the service is absolutely incredible, housekeeping is amazing, bar tenders are amazing and the restaurant servers for breakfast, lunch and dinner are spectacular, yes spectacular, watching them work is like watching the ballet. Amazing hotel and we can’t wait to go back next year. Btw the rooms are also incredible.

We stopped by for a drink at 7:00 p.m. on a Monday. The valet parking attendants welcomed us warmly, but since we did not have a reservation, they informed us that access usually not be allowed. We politely asked them to check with reception, and a lady came over to tell us that the bar was fully booked, despite the fact that the venue appeared almost empty. The attitude felt unnecessarily pretentious, and the experience did not reflect the level of hospitality one would expect. We had initially considered looking at the restaurant and potentially making a reservation for another visit, but after this interaction, we are not inclined to return anytime soon, even though we visit St. Tropez regularly. We ultimately went to Hotel La Messardière, where we received a genuinely warm welcome and enjoyed a much more pleasant experience.
Max Lrn★★★★☆
Saint Tropez is unique because it is just a tiny village with so many restaurants, shops etc etc. But there is no space. So do not expect here the same luxury as you will get from Cheval Blanc at other locations. The service, food etc. are perfect as usual. But the location isn't that fantastic and you must take the shuttle to go anywhere. Also the shuttle stops at 1AM so if you go party and finish late, you must find an Uber or taxi. This is the biggest drawback. In St Tropez you will need a shuttle 24/7. Other than that, I find it to have the best amenities and service of all the downtown hotels from Saint Tropez.
Aline Andrelo★★★☆☆
Service especially at the restaurant was medium so was the food. The beach by the hotel Is not so amazing. Close enough to city center
Jennie Veronika★★★★★
Firstly, the hotel is beautifully located with a cute little beach for the hotel guests. The restaurant, La Tereza was out of this world, the waiters gave next level service and the ambiance was classy yet warm! We had lunch so it was a set menu (you could still choose from options, 5 star is an understatement! I had the bursts as starter, lobster for main and strawberry cake for dessert. It was just amazing!

The Spa is nicely done. Small but ok. Price was reduced to 25,- a day. If you go for a massage you are not allowed to use the venue. This should be changed. Unfortunately no kids are allowed but this is the only heated pool at the entire place.

I did a couple massage. Salon is looking good very clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, I’m not satisfied with the massage. I asked twice for more pressure, she said she could not put more pressure. The treatment still felt more like a relaxing massage than a deep tissue massage. My shoulder pain has not improved, For that reason, I don’t feel I received good value for the money i paid.

I went for a Russian manicure and a fresh BIAB set on my nails. I absolutely love the work Emma delivered! I would definitely recommend her services to anyone!

I would not recommend this salon AT ALL!!!!! I was charged €65 for a gel manicure with removal, yet the entire appointment lasted barely 30 minutes. The service felt rushed from start to finish and certainly did not justify the price. What disappointed me even more was the customer service. Another client who arrived at the same time as me was immediately offered a coffee, while I wasn’t offered anything. It felt discriminatory and left a very unpleasant impression. To top it off, I’ve never been to a nail salon where they don’t finish the treatment by applying hand cream. When I asked for some, the technician Juliette simply handed me the tube and expected me to apply it myself. Very rude and unprofessional…

Good experience with Carla. Proactive and flexible. Nice hospitality.

I had such a wonderful experience at L’Instant in St. Tropez! From the moment I walked in, I felt so welcomed the owner and her daughter are lovely people. They were warm, attentive, and made me feel completely at ease. The owners daughter did my nails exactly how I asked, with so much care and precision. I couldn’t be happier with the results! If you’re in St. Tropez and looking for a high quality, friendly nail salon, L’Instant is the place to go. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Marie. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. The location is perfect—close enough to easily access both the beach clubs and downtown, yet tucked away in a peaceful setting. The atmosphere is quiet, relaxing, and beautifully maintained, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the French Riviera. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil and luxurious getaway.

Beautiful hotel! Having stayed at their sister hotel in Megeve earlier this year, we booked a long weekend at Villa Marie and we were not disappointed. Beautiful setting , amazing staff and exceptional food. The breakfast selection and quality was very good as well. The concierge team were extremely helpful and the shuttle service into town is a great benefit. Highly recommend to stay here!

It’s a divine place to unwind; rooms are spacious, serene forest living. Staff are compassionate and they truly love what they do. Shout out to Valet - Margot (not sure if I am spelling it right) and Benjamin .. brilliant people. All the drives to and from port were super nice. This place is 15 mins drive to town or beach clubs on either side. PS- you must stay at least few nights to adapt to the forest loving and truly enjoy your stay.

My friend and I spent a week at Villa Marie last summer. I had heard good things about the hotel from so we were excited to try it. The property is pretty but was not for us. Check-in: Staff at reception were nice and check-in was relatively quick. Our room was not ready, so we had lunch at the restaurant while we waited. Staff: Aside from reception, we did not find the staff to be over friendly or helpful. If you wanted or needed anything, it was up to us to ask, and even then, it could take several requests before you got what you needed. In the week we spent there, we were never approached by the manager or anyone who asked how our stay was going. Location: The hotel is 10-15 min from town and 10-20 minutes from most beaches and beach clubs. Many people like that it is close to nothing and therefore quiet, but for us we found it taxing to have to cab anytime we needed to leave. And speaking of quiet, you can hear a pin drop everywhere you go on property, from the pool to the gym to the restaurant. I have not seen people speak so little before on vacation. Spa/Gym: We didn’t visit the spa but we did use the gym each morning. They don’t have much equipment but it was just enough so we could make it work for us. Food: The food was overall disappointing and the menu at lunch and dinner is tiny and doesn’t change. We were there for 6 nights and we were bored of everything on the menu by day 2. If the food were amazing, we wouldn’t have minded eating the same things over and over, but it was average at best. Room: We had a suite with terrace that overlooked the restaurant (roof) and a bit of the sea. The room was fine but not large enough for me to consider it a suite. The furniture and rugs were old and needed to be cleaned, it all smelled a bit musty. Water: They give you 1 bottle on each side of your bed each night and that's it. All the other water you pay for which I don't enjoy at a 5 star hotel. Pool: If you want 100% silence, then this is the pool for you. I never heard a sound during our stay from anyone. And we had to stop the bar staff every time we wanted a cocktail or bottle of water. They would bring it, and then never ask again if you would like another. If you want complete silence and no one speaking to you, including the staff, then this could be the hotel for you. If you want any kind of lively interaction, stay somewhere else.
H T★☆☆☆☆
We stayed one night at Villa Marie in Saint-Tropez and, regrettably, it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had in the area so far. While the property has beautiful grounds and well-kept gardens, the overall service, cleanliness, and professionalism was awful, especially given the prices they charge. We arrived after 4pm only to wait over 30 minutes to check in, as the receptionist was occupied on a call and no other staff stepped in to assist. The concierge was dismissive and patronising, offering empty reassurances without taking any initiative. This kind of indifference would be surprising at a 3-star hotel, let alone one charging over €1,100 per night. The room was understandably dated in design, but what is not acceptable is finding dirty towels. When I raised it to the reception, there wasn’t even an apology, just a small acknowledgment that they can replace them. The pool area was similarly neglected; the water appeared cloudy and unclean, making it unappealing and frankly unhygienic to swim in. By the next morning, we couldn’t wait to leave. We had to retrieve our own car and carry our luggage ourselves. And as a final touch, we were offered just one bottle of water for the road despite being two guests. It was all very rude and the staff seemed like they were there to do a summer job rather than trained staff in a 5* hotel. The service and attention to detail at Villa Marie are, at best, equivalent to a 3* property. The hotel urgently needs to train its staff, improve its service culture, and raise its cleanliness standards. Until then, it remains a missed opportunity in an otherwise stunning location.

We travel often and regularly stay at luxury hotels, so we understand that premium service comes with premium pricing. Unfortunately, our experience here felt misleading and deeply disappointing. We were specifically told that our transfer price included a short lunch stop along the way. Only after the trip did we discover we were charged an additional €300 for that brief stop — on top of an already extremely expensive transfer. The total cost for a 3 hour and 45 minute transfer was €975. To put that into perspective, during this same trip we booked three separate 8-hour private tours with private drivers through other 5-star hotels in France, and every one of those full-day experiences cost less than this transfer. Beyond the billing issues, we also dealt with multiple contradictory explanations from staff, incorrect charges, a bedroom AC that did not work properly, and a television that repeatedly malfunctioned. What was most concerning was the overall tone when these issues were raised. During our stay, we witnessed several other guests in loud disputes with hotel staff in the lobby, which suggested we were not the only ones experiencing problems. Had everything been explained honestly upfront, this review would likely not exist. We are happy to pay for excellent service. What we object to is feeling misled. Beautiful property, but the lack of transparency and professionalism completely overshadowed the experience.

Hotel Byblos is a beautiful hotel with everything you could need, excellent restaurants and bars, a nightclub, wellness facilities, and truly top-notch service. The rooms are beautifully designed, the pool is intimate and inviting, and the entire hotel has a wonderful atmosphere. A truly memorable Saint-Tropez experience 👌🏻

We stayed here for our honeymoon and had a great experience! The hotel staff really went out of their way to make our stay special. It is in a very central location making it great for those who want to walk. The breakfast buffet was also very good. The room we stayed in was a little dated but it was so spacious and comfortable. I would recommend staying at this hotel to anyone who values service, location & positive hotel energy.

It is the best hotel experience we ever had! We had a wonderful time at La Réserve. The whole team was super helpful and kind. The style and the beauty of the property, the buildings, the gardens, the rooms is stunning! 10 out of 10 does not describe it properly, it’s a 20 out of 10. We are definitely coming back!

An absolutely unforgettable stay. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was peaceful, elegant, and effortlessly welcoming. We made full use of the gym and spa, enjoyed outstanding massages, and had a wonderful dinner at La Voile, where the food and setting were equally memorable. What stood out most was how relaxing and romantic the entire experience felt. The staff were genuinely warm and attentive without ever being overbearing, and the views over the Mediterranean are simply incomparable. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, breathe a little deeper, and already start planning your return before you’ve even left.
Jordana Ponticelli★★★★★
I would highly recommend La Réserve Ramatuelle for a trip to Saint-Tropez! The rooms were beautiful and had plenty of closet and hanging space, and we had a terrace with an incredible view of the sea and mountains. The hotel also gave us such a warm welcome — when we arrived, my brother and I were given hats, a blanket, and a sleep mask, which was a thoughtful touch. Additionally, the service throughout the hotel was outstanding, everyone was so kind and attentive, and breakfast was a highlight, especially the pastries! Eating while looking out over the Mediterranean is a memory I will never forget! The concierge team was also amazing and very helpful throughout our stay. I also had the opportunity to interview the head pastry chef, Julien Coulomb, who was incredibly kind and generous with his time. It was so interesting to learn how much hard work, creativity, and teamwork go into making and changing the pastries every day. The location was another huge plus, Ramatuelle is close to Saint-Tropez but feels much more peaceful and less crowded. Overall, La Réserve Ramatuelle was an incredible experience, and I would absolutely recommend it!

Been coming to St Tropez for a decade+ always in peak season. Generally we stay at Byblos which is tremendous. Tried here as we have kids for something more quiet and attentive. Gosh - could I not have been more wrong. The most rude and unhelpful management and concierge team I’ve seen at a luxury hotel ever. Worst value per $ I’ve seen globally - ever. Every reaction - “impossible”. Couldn’t even get us a table at THEIR own restaurant. Would never stay here again. Will tell all my friends forever to avoid. Dreadful. Oh and the bees are EVERYWHERE.
Josh Henry-Hicks★☆☆☆☆
For what you pay here it's nowhere near worth it. Hotel is overpriced, severely understaffed. We stayed in a Villa, could not order anything from the hotel to the villa. Main restaurant closed for lunch? No way to get food unless by the pool or at the beach club. Forever to get transport anywhere, forever to get service. You sit down at the table and beg for someone to come over.

I recently had a magical facial experience in St. Tropez, and it was nothing short of enchanting. From the moment I walked into Marine’s som place I had a feeling it would be a good one. I never leave reviews by the way so this is beyond my expectation . The facial itself was tailored to my skin type and needs, featuring luxurious products infused with high quality ingredients. Marine was highly skilled and explain a lot of what she was doing and went out of her way to give me the perfect facial and experience. After the treatment, my skin had a radiant glow that lasted for days. I left thinking I would love this kind of treatment in London. If you’re in St. Tropez and looking for a luxurious treat for your skin, I highly recommend Marine and her place. It’s the perfect way to get a great facial while you are on holiday.

Marine was welcoming, kind and friendly. I arrived 15 mins early so she welcomed in to have a coffee with her and discuss which treatment was best suited for my needs/skin. I went for “Soin combiné 3 en 1 Skin Reset” so I had the classic Skin Reset she offers plus the Biorepeel. She took the time to do the treatment instead of running behind the clock. It felt like a real treat, she gave me skincare advice.. we discussed creams and products as well as different treatments that would target my concerns (Rosacea, Irritation due to Azaleic Acid, break of skin barrier) On top of this, she gave me a free massage and a sample of a korean cream she is selling. Almost 24hs later, my skin feels fresh and hydrated. Exactly what I needed! Thank you Marine!

Marine is amazing ! Not only is the space beautiful but you can tell how much she cares about her work and the results she wants to give. She really took time to analyse what was best for me. The whole experience is unlike any other treatment at a different place , not once did I feel rushed or that I was just another client. She really does personalise the experience and ensure beautiful results. I did the skin reset and wow , highly highly recommend 🤩

I did the “New Skin” facial and a summer safe peel and came out looking 2 years younger. It was my birthday so Marine added a head and shoulder massage for free which was so kind and oh my GOD nothing has ever felt better 😂 i am so sad i don’t live in Saint Tropez otherwise she would be my go-to girl. PLEASE go see her, you won’t regret it.

Tips for Choosing the Right Spa in Saint-Tropez

Before you book, it helps to know how the local wellness culture works. Prices, availability, and etiquette can differ significantly from other destinations, especially during the summer rush. A little planning ensures that your spa visit feels like a seamless highlight of your trip rather than a logistical afterthought.

Book Well in Advance

During July and August, the best time slots at top hotel spas disappear weeks ahead. If you have your heart set on a specific treatment or therapist, secure your reservation at the same time you book your accommodation. For shoulder-season visits in May or September, a few days’ notice is usually sufficient.

Ask About Day Access

Many of the most beautiful spa facilities in Saint-Tropez are attached to five-star hotels. However, most of them offer day passes or allow non-residents to book treatments with access to the pool, sauna, and hammam. Always confirm what is included in the price before you arrive.

Prioritize Local Ingredients

The most memorable treatments here use Provençal botanicals. Look for massages and scrubs featuring lavender from the Plateau de Valensole, sea salt from the Camargue, or grape-based antioxidants from local vineyards. These ingredients connect the treatment to the region in a way that generic products cannot.

Consider the Time of Day

A midday spa session offers a welcome escape from the strongest sun and the busiest beach hours. Alternatively, an early evening treatment allows you to transition gently from the beach to dinner. Ask the spa about quieter periods, usually opening hours or late afternoon.

Check the Cancellation Policy

High-end spas in Saint-Tropez often enforce strict cancellation windows, sometimes 24 to 48 hours in advance. Because demand is so high, late cancellations or no-shows may be charged in full. Confirm the policy when booking, especially if your travel plans are still flexible.

A spa visit in Saint-Tropez is more than a pause from the heat; it is an immersion into a culture that treats beauty and relaxation as essential parts of daily life. The combination of Mediterranean light, expert technique, and carefully sourced ingredients creates an experience that lingers long after you leave the treatment room.

Whether you choose a legendary palace spa or a discreet boutique hideaway, the key is to match the setting to your mood. In a place famous for seeing and being seen, the true privilege is often found in an hour of complete, restorative privacy.
